He’ll meditate or sleep for his 4 hours (if he’s lucky enough to avoid nightmares) and just be laying there until morning, cuddling you

And then he’ll get restless as the sun rises, but the moment he tries to slip away, you’re wrapped around him like a vice

You probably take a nap on the couch in the afternoon, and he’s there with your head or feet in his lap as he works on something, or he’s straight up squeezing in to lay with you

If he doesn’t go to bed with you immediately, you have to go retrieve him

He’ll put off sleep at night for as long as possible, especially if his mind is being cruel to him

You’ll find him hunched over his embroidery or nose-deep in a book, and you’ll lean over the back of the couch and hug him from behind

If he doesn’t get to a stopping point fast enough, you’ll fall asleep just like that

Gods, how many times he’s had to carry you back to bed just because he’s too stubborn

You both have deep bags under your eyes

Both of you kissing under the others’ eyes as a cute little thing <333

If there’s a sun beam on the floor, and you happen to walk through it, oh boy he will find you on the floor taking a nap

He would move you somewhere more comfortable, but he doesn’t want to get burned, so he simply rolls his eyes and moves on

He does love it when you wake up from your sun beam nap and hug him, because he can feel the lingering warmth clinging to you

Sometimes he’ll have a nightmare late at night and cling tightly to you to ground himself

And he feels bad for it, but you’ll wake up, all bleary-eyed and slow-brained, and you’ll rub patterns into his lower back and pet his hair

You actively fight against going back to sleep just to stay up and comfort him

If he can’t calm down as easily, you’ll get up with him and make yourself coffee or a very strong tea to keep you sort of awake

Lots of late night convos during these moments

You sitting on the couch with your back against the armrest and Astarion spreading out along the length with his head in your lap

Or like laying on his stomach and pressing his face against your belly with his arms wrapped around your back

Oh yeah that’s the shit

You’ll always fall asleep before him, but he loves listening to your even breathing

He’d probably be annoyed if you snore at first

But then it grows on him and becomes too endearing

Honestly he probably gets so adjusted to it and so subconsciously tuned to it, that if you ever stop snoring just randomly in the middle of the night for whatever reason, he’s awake and just trying to figure out why tf he’s awake wtf

I’m currently reading superbat fics (sorry, destiel, stony and dinluke, I’ll get back to you some day) and I’m having great time with commenting and authors replying to me. It’s a whole new fandom experience when I can read fics just for personal enjoyment, without planning fic rec lists. So much easier to comment, wtf. Anyways, I’m following 4 superbat identity p*rn fics right now, and it’s glorious. What a feast. My favorite trope, so many interesting ways to explore it. The World and All Its Hedgehogs by Ginevra_Benci [M. 8,007 word count, WIP, 4/?] To investigate illegal arms sale taking place at a tropical resort hotel, Batman goes under cover as a vacuous billionaire Brucie Wayne and Superman takes a part time job as a porter. They didn't coordinate this, they don't know each others civilian identities. Every time they talk there are at least 3 different conversations going on and it is glorious. Also, so much lust. ;)

(Also, check out Interviewing & Counceling series by the same author. Clark is having a superhero identity crisis and Bruce is there to catch Clark gently as he spirals down. It has one of the softest identity reveals in superbat fics. ETA - the series is now complete, it has 5 parts and 18k word count. Awesome ending to the softest identity reveal story)

Watching Our Stars Align by ClarkeStetler [M, 28,840 word count, WIP, 7/14] There's a dating/chatting app only for superheroes and all identities are secret. What could go wrong? Bruce and Clark get matched under their new pseuds, and same happens to Tim Drake and Conner Kent. Now fathers and sons gotta navigate complicated relationships that come with secret identities and judging your coworkers hastily while talking heart to heart to anonymous superhero. The identity porn part happens through DM, which just happens to be another favorite trope of mine. [The story is going strong, it has 10/14 chapters now and a wonderful tangle of 3 secret identities!]

(Love) Triangles Have Multiple Centers by frozenpotions [T, 27,281 word count, WIP, 4/10] This fic wastes no time getting playboy billionaire Brucie Wayne and pining-after-his-coworker journalist Clark Kent together. After that, first time uneasy partners Batman and Superman gotta solve a case and their civilian selves gotta deal with the realities of their one night stand. Complicated doesn't even cover it! [The fic is being updated and Clark and Bruce are being put through new trials, 6/10 chapters]

A Favor for a Friend by RedFive [Explicit, 18,286 word count, WIP, 4/7] Omega verse fic with alpha playboy billionaire Bruce Wayne and omega journalist Clark Kent. I'm fascinated by dominant, flirtatious, sexually ravenous alpha Brucie Wayne who moonlights as a stoic, covered in scent blockers thus unclear second gender, Batman. Meanwhile omega Clark, due to being Kryptonian, is much less ruled by his second gender. That is, until he meets Mr. Wayne. This fic has so much lust and tension between the two. Does accidental heat triggering counts as a soulmate mark? I'm gonna count it like that. [The fic has entered the finish line, only a chapter or two are left to finish this wild, explosive, life changing story of two people who were meant for each other. 8/? chapters, 44k word count] The fic is now complete!!! 9 chapters, 56,153 word count. (Also, there's this new TV show about two gay dudes, and istg, they look like Bruce and Clark from this fic. I'm not naming it here because I don't want to highjack the show tag with superbat post, but go and check the tag on tumblr)

And a special shout out to two identity shenanigan WIPs that are not actively updating but are absolute must reads.

ship-to-ship combat by pomeloquat [M, 62,737 word count, WIP, 12/13] OK, so, for me personally, this is the ultimate identity p*rn fic across all fandoms I've read so far. This fic has one of the highest amount of secret identity pairs in superbat fics. There's the usual pining silently Batman/Superman, then there's Clark dating Bruce, Superman saving Bruce Wayne from peril, Clark Kent chatting with Batman. And the cherry on top is Clark writing Bruceman fanfic which is basically a RPF of his two friends, Batman and Bruce Wayne. Which leads to an internet friendship with a fellow fan, who is, you guessed, Bruce. This fic has great reflections on fandom and shipping culture. But the very beating heart of this fic is about how easy it is to lose something you wished to have but were afraid to ask for. The fic, at 12/13, is technically a WIP, but the main reveal is already done, and it is glorious. ETA - THIS IS NOT A DRILL, the fic is finished and the last chapter is a super meta cherry on a top of delicious, layered superhero identity and fandom shenanigans parfait. 13 chapters, 76,7k word count.

10 Things Every Brucie Fan Needs in Their Life by pomeloquat [T, 8,956 word count, WIP, 5/10] The main premise of this fic is hilarious and yet so, so right. Bruce Wayne is promoting himself as a nation's boyfriend instead of a playboy, and is making bank out of his wholesome, PG rated merchandise. The chapters of this fic tell continuous story but they also can be read as separate vignettes, so there's really no cliffhanger. This fic is so soft and fluffy, it will heal your soul. Also, Superman has celebrity crush on Bruce Wayne. Batman is amused.

Actually, XBC3 Future Redeemed Spoilers Under here to do with something noted in one of the last cutscenes/people's misinterpretations

I think the big beef about why the Pneuma/Logos cores still being around/semi-sentient enough to "help out" is a lot because it wasn't explained, but I think a lot of people are missing a few points.

Obvs bc of my brand I gotta come in and defend Logos against the Moebius allegations before I get into everything else, but a big argument about how he and Pneuma being even remotely present "just perpetuates the xenoblade 2 feud" actually misses something mentioned. Whether Logos inhabits N's Sword or his Sword's sheath specifically, I think we are forgetting:

Z actually has no clue where it came from.

If it were to be moebius specific, he would know about it and how it came to be and so on and so forth. But he doesn't. He actively comments on how it's weird that N has it and wonders How He Got Ahold Of It. But he also Acknowledges Who/What It Is with his comment on Origin being home to "those who are as gods" in reference to the sword. Again, if it were a Moebius product, Z would know about it and how it got into people's hands. Even in the main game when Noah manifests it, X is irritated with both him AND N because the sword's existence is an inconvenience to every Moebius worth their salt.

Obviously that doesn't explain jack shit about HOW it happened. But Somehow N is running amok with the "Sword of the End" aka the Endbringer himself doctor sex (Malos/Logos), and Z is not exactly pleased but mot exactly troubled by it because it isn't actively bothering him yet. How did it come to be? Is it tied to the sword or the sheath considering N was toting around a Lucky Seven of his own prior to the Agnus Castle incident? who knows. My personal theory is that the same thing happened to Logos that happened to what i THINK happened with Pneuma.

The situation with Pneuma is...a bit more complicated, because of the ending of xenoblade 2, moreso than with Logos. We would presume both Pneuma and Malos were destroyed, but that wouldn't explain Mythra and Pyra's existence beyond that point. This goes more into what little we know about blade anatomy and how the Trinity Processor Cores of Logos and Pneuma interface with them. Seeing as they intake data, record it, and output it, it's very likely that Pneuma did a bit of a black box when handing Pyra and Mythra off to Rex. She took them, their essence, and just kinda yote it into their own vessels. Like a backup. They probably no longer had the ability of an Aegis, and I doubt they were more flesh- or blade-eater than they were mortal. That in and of itself doesn't get explained much, but I'm inclined to think the Pyra and Mythra that stay behind lived normal human lifespans.

I dont know what happened to Pyra and Mythra, but I do think that Pneuma was at least partially damaged. The aegis cores aka the Trinity Processor don't exactly respond to things the same way the average blade does. It's possible that while damaged, at least Pneuma was more intact than Logos was after XBC2.

I assume what happened is they were procured by someone (likely Nia) and kept safe as weaponry, because there's no way either of them would be fully functional as Trinity Processor cores (think: youve got 3 flash drives but only 1 of them is being recognized ik this analogy sucks its the best i got rn). Thats part of why Ontos goes apeshit and reverts to Alpha, after all.

Ontos has to do all of the problemsolving and decisionmaking that Pneuma and Logos did originally. The Alpha we meet is probably the aspect of Ontos specifically responsible for the creation of the separate worlds in the first place.

BUT, Back on the topic of the two other Processors and WTF is up with them. I dont think either of them were fully destroyed, it's likely they just returned to dormant states with no extant "avatars." So they couldn't just pop out of their cores and wander about and probably still even now can't yet, but they are probably still sentient and conscious, intaking info about the world. It's also shown they CAN heal each other, it's possible that if given enough time in Origin (considering it's an extension of Ontos) they'd just finish healing themselves and beat Ontos' ass as is their preordained purpose. But Again, given that Malos/Logos talked to Pneuma at the end of XBC2, I can only assume they're primarily non-functional and just kinda. sitting around for a bit inside their funny computer homes.

We know Lucky Seven is a Melia/Riki construct specifically and thats it's own can of worms, but I like to think Logos allied himself with N/Noah because he knew exactly what their end goal was but thats bc im a Malos Good Ending Truther. I originally personally thought that perhaps Noah's sheath/glove was Pneuma's doing, and the Sword of Origin was primarily Logos (and was just being held back by Noah's refusal to hurt people), but I'm hearing a lot about Pneuma being responsible for maintaining the Ouroboros stones, so if that's the case she's the one in charge of maintaining that power and the gauntlet is just Rule of Cool, and Origin metal is just something they can interface with because it's an extension of Ontos (currently by A/Alvis depending on the chosen gender presentation of the day, with Shulk and Rex taking the place of the other two Processors for a while to help out).

Although...Even though Lucky Seven and Ouroboros and such are metaphysical concepts given form, I'm inclined to just say outright that the sword itself is Logos simply bc it does monado arts oooo spooky.

But yeah. TLDR: Logos isnt allied with the Moebius he is strictly tied to N/Noah (although whether he's lucky seven or SPECIFICALLY the Origin Blade/When it Does Monado Shit) Pneuma is tied to either Noah's gauntlets or the ouroboros stones as a whole (although I believe the former rather than the latter bc its cooler imo), and they're used not only to beat Alpha back into place as Was Their Job in the DLC, but their job is to help finish up what Rex Shulk and co. started in making sure the worlds reunite. Also Noah is in for a rude awakening when he meets the inlaws and Mythra and Malos obliterate him for launching them into the ocean ok bye

Also im so vexed rn hope u don't mind me word vomiting but I've been on genshin for like 1.5 years now and so far the community has been amazing. There's so many shit labels on it which I never got because people are so nice! Most people anyway..

So today I was doing my weekly bosses, I usually co op them because idk I enjoy it more than doing it on my own. So I entered this persons world to fight shogun, they picked scara, I was yelan, someone else was chongyun i fink and there was a hu tao.

I would've changed to a healer (Idm playing healer to fill in the slot and it feels more comfy having a healer or shielder on the team or else everyones spamming sweet madame 😭) but they started the domain before I could change so eh. I literally typed in chat "rip healer" and all 3 of them came at me as if I was crying about it... I made one statement and they were like 🙄🙄🙄🙄 ur yelan tho lol does it really matter (bc she scales on hp so I have like 32k). If there's a hu tao and yelan why tf do u need a healer. No joke, they responded SO AGGRESSIVELY to that one statement.

At that point I was a bit :/ but i stayed quiet bc whatever let's just do the boss and go. Hu tao died within the first 5 seconds lol bc they were on like 100 hp and loaded in before they could even react. So that's one down!! Then we're playing, raiden is doing her thing and our hp is melting. I'm spamming food to keep my yelan alive (lowkey I get mad anxiety when my chars are at low hp I could never play hu tao djdbf) whilst attacking.

Shogun does her one shot move and we couldn't get the shield up in time. Somehow I'm the only one who died?? Anyway I was like "..." in the chat bc idk how I was the only one who died. And then they were onto me like thats on u thats ur fault why would u do that and I was like... am I missing smth here wtf is going on why are they getting rude to me for no reason 😭

And I typed in oh why was I the only one to die and they were like do you not know how to play, have u never done this before, are you blind, the shield didn't activate for any of us

Then I typed yeah ik but the shield didn't activate so why was I the only one to die. No one else did

And then they keep getting onto me so I fr went girl calm urself why u getting this pressed over a game dfkm 😭

And then they (it was mainly the host at this point) were like lol actually im very calm and carried on

Then I was like yh ur calm, just rude apparently

At that point I was mad pissed and just abandoned the challenge and left the world. They said smth like "LOL why you so pressed that im not being nice to you"

Bitch 💀 don't be nice to me, but that doesn't mean you need to get rude to me. Man thats the one and hopefully only bad experience I've had on genshin but I'm fr so mad about it like damn who hurt u. Sitting behind a screen and getting enjoyment out of this 😭

its more so thats he’s extremely temperamental and very aggressive, especially when things dont go Beam’s Way, which is less so “i dont want to kill other devils” and more so “i didnt forget you guys have me working jere against my will bc i was TRICKED and TRAPPED into being here”so ofc hes gonna be too rough and rowdy for anyone in the agency to deal with (makima’s the exception. bc… you know…. but she doesnt want to deal with him herself, which is why it goes unchecked)

but he’s also still a fiend/devilman whos very much (and very importantly) born from the SHARK!!!! devil and as you know about sharks and blood, basically like moths to a flame. it doesnt help that he actually likes fighting and the violence of it all, he’d happily hunt someone down just for funsies but that devil hunter agency has a leash so tight around his neck that he knows better

i personally think that beam is more shark devil than human brain of they body more specifically, that beam follows more of the shark devil’s logic and instincts while retaining some of the dude’s impulses, but very little of them like the shark devil overrode the mind of the body years and years ago and specks may remain here and there, but they’ve been together for so long that its almost impossible to discern where one begins and the other ends the entire thing about beam and his speech pattern is a direct result of the shark devil. its something that will happen to any fiend shark devil makes, inevitably giving them blender brain and chopping up a large part of their vocabulary

Anyway, no way is Kacchan going to die - as a dead Kacchan is of no use to ShiggyAfO when Deku's literally not even HERE yet. But crippling and torturing Kacchan in the meantime before then? Well then. (AfO the manipulator, knows how to use people and their emotions to play dirty, since what he's really after is Deku's OfA.) Not to say Kacchan goes down or gets demoralized that easily without a tenacious fight either - c'mon Hori, you've yet to show us his biggest promised character moment.

But garghh, see this is why we wanted to see Deku & Kacchan fight their final battle together as a team, so their synergy isn't suddenly unbalanced by shit like this. (By augmenting each other as a strength, instead of exploiting one as the other's weakness.) And welp, this is why we also have established characters like Eri on reserve (whom Kacchan happened to befriend in one of the recent audios too) in case of emergencies. But otherwise ruining Kacchan's best face and/or possibly losing an arm (half of his quirk) really won't bode well. And Deku's really not going to like that at all either. Ahem, he's still got to unlock/use the 2nd OfA user's quirk - esp now that Kacchan's in trouble - after all!

had some free time (read: it was 4:30 am) so i cranked in half an episode of my gear and your gown before i collapsed. here were some of the notes i wrote on my phone while i watched. everyone pack it up for episode 8! don’t read if you don’t want spoilers!

it's such a cliche but can i talk about how much i adore aggressively flirty short men paired with tall men who always seem to embody the essence of "wtf is going on rn"? i was put off earlier by the erasure of a possible pure-waan romance but this?? oh this i can get behind.

im going to put some octo2 thoughts here now that i’ve had time to digest it. there will be spoilers

overall i think i liked octo2 as a game more than 1. im sad they (understandably) changed some (kinda broken) mechanics from the first game (sp steal/share on thief and tomahawk nerf..............), but we got some great qol updates, like no more purple chests and the hunter’s monster system got LEAGUES better. all the jobs got more powerful overall despite them nerfing some aspects (i dunno if like a 1.5/1.5 turn kill on galdera was possible in the first game....... insane), the new parts were so fun to use (vengeful blade!!!!!!! arcanist as a whole!!! aaa!!!)

the music and art too oh my goddd. i didnt think it could get better but somehow it DID and i just. its amazing, aesthetically, on all fronts. yasunori nishiki could tell me to kms rn and i would. gladly. for all the work he put into the ost. just, chefs kiss. i dunno what else to say.

love love love the new travelers tho. they’re all very colorful and whlie i do like some more than others (hi tem, hi castti) i cant say i actively dislike any of them. thats not much different from the first game.

the writing was overall more enjoyable than 1 too imo, tho i dont get why they had the split route thing when they had progression recommendations for them anyway and it ended up being like... not much of a choice. the crossed paths were really nice. it would’ve been a Lot of work but i wish we had one for every combination of traveler rip. throne and tems was so good tho, definitely my fave of the bunch.

that aside im not gonna lie, i did not vibe w hikari partitio or agnea’s stories very much.

hikari’s story i think just did not fit the 5 chapter format very well. it felt really rushed to me and like it didnt have much depth to it. it was serviceable but didnt feel exciting to me.

paritio’s was... idk it felt a little repetitive?? hes a funny guy i like him but i think his goals were just a little too mundane and also global to be very interesting. like compare “i wanna get rid of poverty” to “im on a journey to unravel the mystery of who i once was”. like one of those is more intriguing and believable :/

agnea’s just felt way too low stakes compared to everyone else’s. i did see someone point out that the game might’ve felt a little too dark without it, which is... fair?? i guess?? the first game was also pretty dark it just took a little while longer to see compared to like, half the cast having a murder happen in their ch1. anyway, my girl just did not have an interesting story arc. it was all “i wanna be FAMOUS” without very many trials and tribulations tbh. not enough character struggle for me personally.

the final chapter was interesting. it was really cool to see everyone band together narratively to fight vide. mechanically, i also thought vide’s fight was cool as shit. all 8 on the field at once!! wow!! i do think the first game tied everyone in to the Big Bad better tho. bc like, wtf are u doing making fucking *npcs* the relevant ones from agnea and partitio’s stories?? like even in the first game the traveler’s that had weak ties to galdera’s revival were still like... idk it was still *them* and it was formative to their characters?? we have a reason to like graham via alfyn, and a reason as to why hes important via tressa, arguably 2 of the most indirect ties to galdera in 1 imo--graham also inspired alf to save others, and his journal eventually helped tressa learn the value of things that arent contemporarily accepted as treasure. idk i also felt like ori’s personality switch was so last minute. same for tanzy’s backstory tho the tragedy as to why she would follow through makes more sense. neither of them really had any impact on their respective traveler’s character either. like they didnt do anything to change their goals or personality. very weak.

i also dont know wtf was up w that alfred hornburg thing. like hello??? wtf are YOU doing here sir, u have gone and messed up my placing of the game in the series timeline/universe

but yeah. that last little bit of negativity aside, octo2 kinda just does what the first one did but better in most aspects. great game would recommend if u played the first. if the first didnt vibe w u, maybe would rec if u didnt vibe w the first bc the second is less frustrating mechanically.

Not in response to any one thing happening here, but general observations over the past year or so, since I haven't been here very long. Also talk about discourse on other platforms.

I'm also not posting this to discourage discourse, only to point out that not all reactions to discourse are equal to the issue that is being discussed. There is very legitimate discourse in fandom that needs to be brought to light and discussed, and this is not to minimize that needed discourse.

Long post ahead.

Tumblr is so weird. I'm not talking about the site, I'm talking about all of us on here.

We're weird.

There's so much "no, don't do that" here that doesn't exist on any other site. It's like coming to another world.

I don't do much with Twitter, I really only use it for news, but it's full of p*rn. Just straight up p-in-v right there. And discourse about just about everything. Political discourse capital of the universe. I stay away away because I mostly hate it. I did find out about Vince McMahan paying to cover up an affair though (how did this surprise literally anyone?), which I probably wouldn't have otherwise, so it has its uses. But people stay on Twitter, because discourse is expected and is likely wanted by a lot of the daily users. Arguments and anger and "our side" and "their side" is what their users want.

Then there's Facebook. Everyone I know personally seems to have decided to out idiot each other (this is a regional issue related to politics, so ymmv). There is discourse in comment threads of public posts, but not so much in individual user posts.

But back to FB. Y'all. I read a lot. I read 6 books at a time (1 chapter each a day), of various genres.

I read smut. Erotica. You know. It's not the only thing I reas, but I do read it. And I can, because I'm allowed to make that decision for myself.

I'm a member of a few different groups where book recommendations are their primary reason for being. Groups with tens of thousands of members and that extremely active (note that I am not going to name any of these groups).

Sounds tame. It's really not. Some of these groups are a completely different world.

We know that Tumblr is different and that social media is different outside of Tumblr. But I really mean that it's different. Even discourse is different.

I'm going to put a cut here, because content warning things are below here (and a small mention of an anthromorphic spider).

And my apologies for going in so many directions as this. But this is kind of about why interaction is so low here, and that's because Tumblr is gonna Tumblr, and it's not a safe space for anyone and never will be no matter how hard anyone fights about it.

Without fail, each of the FB groups have a don't like, don't look, don't comment rule.

Someone posted an anthromorphic spider with a partner in a compromising position, asking for recs. Not my thing, but surprisingly to me lots of replies.

And any time I've seen any discourse about anything anyone has asked for, it's been shut down so fast that I rarely see what originally caused the issue.

But I saw the discourse on a request once before the the replying user was banned.

The OP had asked for a book rec that included some pretty dark things. This is your warning before moving forward.

The OP asked for a book rec that included non-con, kidnapping, forced pregnancy, and several other tropes that pushed it well into the "are you ok, op?" area for me. Definitely nothing that I would read or would have any idea of recs for. But recs were given to the OP, until one user asked, essentially, "wtf is wrong with you op? this is disgusting and you are disgusting for asking for it."

Nuked. From. Orbit. Replier was kicked so fast they probably had no idea they were already gone.

Nothing like that could happen here. That response would be atypical here. Anger would only grow from each side, everyone deciding they were in the right in an argument that wouldn't even be a blip on the radar anywhere else.

Here, there would probably be fights in the comments. We've seen these comments. People with differing views of the request would be accused of being the worst type of people in existence. I wouldn't be surprised to see people telling others to off themselves. It would explode into whatever fandom it lives in, and after multitudes of anon messages and deactivates accounts, it would eventually settle down, with the battle lines more clearly drawn and the more casual fans covering their heads to keep from getting hit with the fallout at best, or leaving at worst.

I've seen the absolute grossest takes from both sides of issues here. There is no way to be ignorant of anything because you have to be on one side or another, and if you're not explicitly on one side, you are one of the others, and that just can't happen.

And before anyone says "well, that's because the other side is obviously wrong", I'M TALKING ABOUT THE OTHER SIDE TOO.

It doesn't matter what it is. It doesn't matter the fandom. It doesn't matter the issue.

I have literally seen discourse about whether Captain Rex's hair was dyed or natural blonde. As if this is an issue that matters and not some way to put another line out there to make people prove they're enjoying fandom the right way.

I'm not in the Encanto fandom, but if I wanted to be I'm sure there's some terrible discourse going on, and I would have to align with one side or another because that's expected. It doesn't matter what the discourse is, it doesn't matter what my view is. This side is right and that side is wrong. Period. There is no room for any sort of discussion on my part, because the discussion has already happened before I arrived and the lines have been drawn and you have to choose the side you're going to be on.

I'm not in BTS fandom, but it's there. I'm not in OFMD fandom, but I'm sure it's there too.

And this happens for every fandom. You don't have to be part of a specific fandom to know that it does.

And in the midst of all the fandom discourse we're missing legitimate problems because of the voice they're coming from. Legitimate discourse, problematic users. All because of the side that their on.

The absolute refusal to accept an apology from the other side for their misdeads, while simultaneously closing your eyes to the issues on your side, accepting each apology without question. Because everyone makes mistakes, right? At least as long as they're on your side. Those people on the other side are irredeemable. Their apologies are fake. They'll never learn. Because they are problematic and wrong and you can't fix that.

But we are all problematic. There is no way not to be. And if you think you're not, you're not looking at yourself critically.

I am not unproblematic and I know it. And I try every day to do better than I did yesterday. But I will never be perfect. There is no such thing as perfection. And to someone, somewhere on this site I may be irredeemable. That I don't deserve happiness. That If I had a minor child, I deserve to have them taken away from me. I may not even deserve to live in their eyes. I hope that no one sees me that way, but I've seen others make these comments for far less, in replies, in reblogs, in messages, and in anons.

We act like we are at war and the other side is our enemy and we wonder why no one interacts anymore. Why fandom is dying here, so to speak. Lumping everyone who isn't "us" into "them"

We are toxic. We are problematic. And we're trying to pretend that we're not, that we're so much better than the other side, no matter what the other side is. That they're the problem. We are all the problem.

I stepped back some recently, but came back because I missed it, but honestly, I didn't come here to fight with anyone. I'm sure most everyone else originally did the same, no matter what side of what issue they're on. But you can't come here and interact and not fight. The only way to not fight is to not interact.

And everyone wonders why interaction is so low.

REQUESTS: (seperately) bokuto, hinata, and akaashi x jealous s/o. say that she isn’t a very jealous person to begin with but there’s another girl who seemed to have taken a liking to the boys and she doesn’t like it. add some angst if you will :) hopefully ends with some fluff.

bokuto is a jealous baby owl and you know it,, know it too well... he gets pouty if your attention is elsewhere even for a minute!

you, on the other hand, is as cool as a cucumber. well, that what it looks like anyway.

you get jealous quite a lot, to be honest, but your pride won’t live if you show it so you just try to shrug it off every time

but when kou gets a little too much attention it pisses you the fuck off

you get snappy and your mood is down for the day but kou is always on his way to make it better~

the baby owl may be oblivious but when the topic is about you, he pays attention to your every movement and to what makes you tick

so when someone!! a person you hate because of their flirty attitude and rude remarks gets a little too close to your baby--

oh, it's about to go down!

you’re in the cafeteria sitting on one of the free tables, waiting for your hyperactive baby owl, when you see a certain someone clinging to Bokuto and pressing their chest against his arm

aND WHAT PISSES YOU OFF MORE IS THE OBLIVIOUS SMILE ON BOKUTO’S FACE

you turned around and looked at the juice box you bought for bokuto and grabbed it roughly, stabbing the straw to drink it yourself

you knew how popular bokuto was and how ‘plain’ you were but it still hurt when people never respecting bo’s personal space and your relationship as you two were publicly open with your relationship

akaashi, who was lagging behind bokuto, saw this and quickly rescued the dense captain making a certain someone whines about it but akaashi paid no mind and dragged bo away and towards your table

“hey, babe!”

you looked at him and rolled your eyes, scoffing a little with the straw still on your mouth as you proceed to ignore him

bokuto’s eyes widen at that and sat closer to you, leaning closer and putting his head on your shoulder, nuzzling at you.

this usually makes you break but nope, your pride said nope and you ate lunch with bo pouting and whining to you. akaashi who watched the whole scene sighed.

the next time you saw bokuto was at dismissal with him racing to your classroom the moment the bell rang. he went inside when your teacher dismissed you and waited on the side for you even though you were ignoring him. but what slightly shocked you was the serious face he has on.

when everyone else was gone and you were about to go to, bokuto grabbed your hand and made you stay

“what’s wrong? please talk to me...” He whispered, hugging you close to his body.

you pouted at that, the gesture cracking your cold demeanor quickly. you sighed and hugged back the sweet boy.

“i’m sorry for ignoring you, kou...”

you felt his smile on your skin making you smile too

“It’s okay but please explain...”

his innocent words and eyes made you shy. maybe you overreacted a little bit but your ego is too big sometimes

you averted your eyes and looked at your shoes, bokuto’s arms still around you.

“cus... you let (h/n) touch you and you were smiling too!”

you whined a bit, looking up at him. his surprised expression then turned into relief and he started laughing

“who knew you were the jealous type too, (Y/n)!”

you pouted and hid your face on his chest,

“shut up... i’m human too, ya know... and you’re not one to talk, you’re the one who always gets jealous..”

“That’s cus my girlfriend is too pretty and too many guys have their eyes on you!”

you scoffed playfully at that, not having the energy to remind bokuto that those guys were just asking for some notes or something to you, knowing well that it would brew into bokuto pulling up his ‘facts’ and arguments on you again that those guys were unto something...

“shut up, you owl”

this small bean is also one of the easily jealous type and he creates a safe and danger distance around you in his mind

there’s only a certain distance a guy can come close to you and if that line gets crossed, he goes pROTECTIVE MODE

tanaka and noya are proud of their pupil as they watch him circle around you like a rabid dog or crow?

he is always with you! ALWAYS! And he always buys you some cold drink or if you don’t bring lunch, he lets you share his bento with the courtesy of his mother as he asks her to make a bigger lunch for him when he knew that you don’t really bring your own lunch.

so when it was lunchtime and hinata was nowhere in sight, that worries you a LOT

you run to the courtyard where you two usually hangs out with kageyama but was surprised to only see Kageyama and his milk box

jogging up to the tall male and you asked him about shoyou and you heard an answer you were not expecting to hear

“some fancy pink letter asked him to go to the rooftop, it said that they wanted to say something to that tangerine”

(y/n).exe has stopped working

kageyama looked at you with a quirked brow, still sipping on the milk box, he poked you with a curious look

“why did you let him go, you idiot!” you said, surprising kageyama who pouted and glared at you

“why the hell are you yelling? he’s just meeting someone!”

“you dense blueberry!” you shouted and hit kageyama on the shoulder with a light scowl

kageyama was about to retort when a familiar childish growling caught his attention as you both looked at the side and saw a glaring hinata racing towards you two at a fast rate

“why you kageyama--! don’t get too close to my girlfriends!”

hinata slotted himself between you two and started bickering with the tol blueberry

you sighed at the scene in front of you and a light pink object caught your attention. there it was, a pink chocolate bar in hinata’s hand as he waved it around, trying to punch kageyama.

you frowned at it and started walking away, leaving kageyama and hinata at the courtyard. hiding from hinata, you ate lunch in the bathroom stall as icky feelings start to grow.

after lunch, you quickly run to your classroom wanting to avoid seeing hinata at the moment

but luck wasn’t at your side when Hinata dragged you off and got inside the janitor’s closet with you.

“hinata, what are you doing! lunch is already finished, i’m gonna be late for class!”

you tried to leave the small room but hinata closed the door when you tried to open it

“no! you left me with kageyama all lunch break!”

“i-i had a stomach ache and went to the nurse’s office--”

“i went there too, you weren’t in there”

an awkward silence filled the small room while you looked at hinata with surprise

“i-it doesn’t matter--”

“It does matter! If you feel the need to lie to me then it’s a big matter!” hinata said, frowning at you

you sighed and let hinata hold your hand

“please tell me what’s wrong”

“i heard you got confessed to”

hinata blew a fuse at that and started waving his hands furiously, “h-how’d you know?! i didn’t accept it, i promise--!”

“you didn’t?”

hinata stopped for a moment and looked at you, eyebrows furrowing

“yeah, i got myself the best girlfriend... why would i wanna change that?”

you went closer to Hinata, letting your body hit his and hugged him

“i-i’m sorry... it’s just that, i thought you would find someone better and leave me...”

“I WOULD NEVER! You’re the best girlfriend in the whole wide world, (Y/n)!”

let’s be real here, you’re definitely the jealous one in the relationship. I mean having a boyfriend who’s too pretty to comprehend and easily attracts a lot of attention can make you like that. but you hide it pretty well, well most of the time anyway...

you snickered behind your hands, listening to the lying snake stutter a complain but akaashi cut her off

the snake scoffed at that and walked away, stomping

there was silence for a moment but then keiji called out, surprising you

you stiffened at that and moved away from your hiding spot while coming up with excuses

“i-i wasn’t doing anything! she just dragged you off so i followed--!”

akaashi smiled softly at you, walking closer and patted your head gently making you feel flustered.

“i know, let’s go? you must be hungry”

“you won’t leave me for her, right, keiji?”

akaashi shook his head at your question, a small smile on his face and looked at you, letting his hand fall and held your smaller hand in his

STUFF I DIDNT LIKE IN MCD SEASON 2:

• Right of the bat I’m just gonna say this season is a hot mess

• what is even going on here

• Why is Phoenix Drop so...untouched? Like yes it’s grown old with age but also everything looks ok not like burnt to the ground or anything

• I’m SURE Zane would have told someone in O’Khasis where he was going especially the Jury and you’re telling me that none of them care?? Not even Janus? His fave juror?

• If I were Janus I’d burn it down just sayin

• Why is Irene’s relic so glorified? I SHOULVE INCLUDED THIS IN THE LAST POST BUT WHY TF DOES ZANE NOT USE ESMUNDS RELIC LIKE WHYYY

• I don’t like how Irene has healing and everyone goes wow but we NEVER GET TO SEE ESMUNDS RELIC (I haven’t rewatched MCD in a while if he does use it lmk and ignore the above :) thx) I’m sure it’s pretty powerful considering in s3 Shad says “a spell by Esmund?” when he sees the protective barrier thing around the portal so it’s powerful and the Irene Dimension fight would have gone different with it

• Why does Aphmau act like a shit friend by venting to Laurance and then ditch him when he needs her most? Like you can’t just keep dumping your problems on him he’s got his own to deal with be supportive

• I LOVE VYLAD that’s it that’s all I have to say

• tho I wish we could have seen more of him and the relationship he shared with his brothers cuz angst time

• HOW is Aphmau able to disguise herself as Zane and WHY do people not question it? She has a different build and body structure, different colored eyes, two eyes not one, tan skin and some chest like cmon that disguise is fooling NO ONE also why is it normal for ‘Zane‘ to show up fifteen years after he was last seen? Why does this make no sense

• This may seem a bit much and honestly you’re welcome to your own opinions on it but I feel as though Zane should have had more of a role in s2. Hear me out. The way his character is written is that his untouchable status as a high priest is a big part of his character. It’s why he’s able to get away with so much shit. Removing that like in s3 ruined him (for me) and not using him at all in s2 seems like wasting a perfectly fine (albeit unoriginal) antagonist. Yes it would mean pretty much everything would change but yknow what maybe it needs to

• AARON. That’s it he’s the problem. In my opinion Aarmau should never have happened. Aph is a lord and doesn’t have time for a romantic relationship. Aaron is a broken shell of a man who definitely doesn’t have the time for a romantic relationship. They speak like 5 times properly and even then it’s nothing overly romantic (as far as I know?). I don’t think naming a child counts as romantic I always saw it as familial?? Aarmau ended being a one night stand that caused Aph so much grief and all through I was just thinking that it should never have happened anyway. They should’ve had a strong platonic bond instead. QUEERPLATONIC RELATIONSHIP. Imagine. it would’ve been so much better. It would’ve brought awareness to a community that is not always shown in the spotlight but is as deserving of it. Why does Aaron stick around after Zane is in the Irene Dimension anyway? Didn’t he say that he was there solely for revenge? Isn’t his part done? Why is he still trailing after Aphmau

• THAT DEATH SCENE THO. Zane and Aaron both die from some unknown magical thing. what is it? I have no clue all I remember is that Aph found it somewhere. someone remind me? I don’t understand why Zane was killed off in the very way they were trying to avoid in s1 I get it it’s been fifteen years real time but...it seemed so underwhelming for me. Anyone else?

• Ive seen a lot of people mention this one before but Laurence should’ve been Shad’s descendant not Aaron it didn’t make sense to me

• WHAT IS THE POLITICAL SYSTEM OF O’KHASIS. It’s such a crucial part of MCD yet we never hear of it at all. Since Aph is a lord it matters a lot. I can elaborate more on this if anyone wants me to!!

• WTF is the lore here. In ep 100 Hyria says that Irene had no children and in ms s6 flashbacks I see a child? Whose is it? What is going on??
