here’s the thing about reading fic for me right. the vibes have to align the mood has to be right everything has to feel a certain way, and no i couldn’t tell you how or what the feeling is. a fic could have the perfect premise and characters for me and i might still not be able to read it until a certain point in time, and i have no idea when that’ll occur. sometimes i spontaneously read 10 fics in a night and sometimes i have to wait 10 months after a fic is posted to read it. there is no rhyme or reason. sometimes i just can’t read a fic at all. i have no explanation for why i’ll read one over another. doesn’t make any of the fics ‘bad,’ nor does it mean i don’t want to support other writers, it’s just A Thing That Happens (or doesnt).
