And poor Buck is completely stumped when he realised that no, actually. It’s not going to change things in any material way, so he says, “Nothing, really,” and then, “I won’t sleep on the couch anymore when I stay over.”

And Chris says “Ew,” but when Buck flinches he thwacks him on the shoulder and says, “Not like that, just mean, nobody wants to imagine their dads sleeping together.”

And that is when Buck start’s crying.

alright… finally caught up on the side story

the last chapters feel like when i read the epilogue. everything is just suddenly so obvious and painfully unavoidable. also is it possible that hsy sent me for a guilt trip for being one of the readers that thought kim dokja not fully returning at the end was a valid ending? it had just made sense to me at the time even if it wasn’t necessarily what i wanted but now it’s like ahaha sorry sooyoung… i don’t actually want all my favorite characters to suffer

also how do i express my love for sooyoung as a character? she’s so amazingly consistent throughout orv and the side story.

and lhh being 49 is killing me in the best way. while reading about lhh and hsy in the snowfield i was cheering so hard for him to come up with an original sentence to win and change the story. knowing that it’s 49 paving his own story after being denied that he was his own person in orv makes it so much deeper

I have watched. I am a wreck. I basically cried the entire time. Here are my thoughts (mostly for my own posterity):

Episode I

-This is everything I wanted. Just sad Obi-Wan being sad on the saddest planet. It’s amazing. You can see the weight he carries with him. Ewan McGregor is incredible.

-I’m so glad I went into this knowing nothing. Everything is a surprise.

-Baby Leia. Of all the things I could have imagined, I didn’t imagine we’d get Baby Leia. She’s perfect. She is Anakin’s and Padmé’s daughter in every way and I love her. She is the most dramatic baby in the galaxy and I am here for it. Also her outfit is 💯.

-Obi-Wan still knows how to sass.

-Obi-Wan waking up and asking for Qui-Bon. My heart. My heart is shattered. He’s so alone.

-This other Jedi. God, that conversation is so painful. Obi-Wan is right. He’s not the man he used to be. But he will find himself again, I know it. 

-Bail 😭😭😭

-I basically cried this entire episode.

Episode II

-The haunted look on Obi-Wan’s face when he sees that clone trooper.

-Obi-Wan referring to Leia as his daughter is too much. I can’t. 

-Obi-Wan is going to DESTROY this fake Jedi man.

-God he really SOUNDS like Obi-Wan in this one. I’ve missed him.

-That he’s even touching a blaster is soul crushing. So uncivilized. 

-THE MUSTACHE FIDDLE

-WE’RE EVEN GETTING WHUMP MY GOD IT’S PERFECT

-BABY LEIA DEFENDING HERSELF IS AMAZING

-Obi-Wan holding Baby Leia’s hand 😭. Don’t think about how it must feel like holding Baby Anakin’s hand. DON’T. THINK. ABOUT. IT.

-”This would’ve been easier with the army.” That is for sure Anakin Skywalker’s child. FOR. SURE.

-He called her “Your Highness” 😭

-The Temple truly needed a disguise class. Why are they so good at so many things and so bad at hiding? THEY’RE STILL JUST FARMERS I CAN’T 😂

-And he reaches for the Force and it answers. Full body chills.

-”You’re not alone Obi-Wan.” 😭

-The way he can’t even breathe when he finds out about Anakin. My poor baby.

-”Anakin.”
