If you're a young (or even just inexperienced) writer, you should know that if you get a less-than-stellar comment or review, that's just business as usual. I don't say this to defend the people who leave nasty (or sometimes well-meaning but unnecessarily harsh) comments, but rather just to assure you that almost everyone gets at least one at some point, especially if you've been posting for a long time. This is the internet; anonymous people like to be dicks.
While probably a good 98% of reviews I've received over the years are positive, or at least mostly positive, here is a brief rundown of some less than laudatory ones:
The DM from someone very condescendingly informing me I was bad at descriptive writing
Another DM from someone else who basically wanted me to persuade them to keep reading my fic (They were hemming and hawing about whether they should keep reading and listed all the problems they had with it and seemed to want me to make a case for continuing with it, and I had to be like, "I'm not going to tell you to read or not read this. It's free. On the internet. Read it or don't.")
The comment likening my work to Dr Seuss (Not inherently a bad thing, but in this case it was clearly meant as an accusation of childishness.)
Another comment comparing my work to high school writing (Hint: I am not anywhere near high school, that's pretty obvious in my writing, and while it weirdly preceded a lot of gushing, I can't see how anyone could think it's a compliment to tell what is obviously an adult writer that their writing reminds you of high school.)
A very long copy and paste flame from another fandom entirely that was addressed to me personally but was not at all personalized beyond that (Frankly insulting; they didn't even change the names of characters. The lowest effort trolling imaginable. A disgrace to internet trolls, honestly.)
A handful of comments over the years from various people who for some reason feel like they have to announce that they're no longer reading your work, and why
And a less-than-flattering comment on this website about my prose (Remember, kids: authors might be on multiple social media sites, so think twice before making a comment you wouldn't leave on their fic because it's rude. They might see it.)
The tl;dr is: I know it sucks, and it can be discouraging, but unless you turn off comments completely, you will probably eventually receive a less-than-flattering one. While it's hard to remember sometimes, the fact that you've received a negative comment does not, in and of itself, say anything about the quality of your writing, and I'm confident if you asked any of the writers you admire, they'd be able to tell you they've received a few of their own negative comments in their day.

It's like a broadcast for the moment as you view others in their total assortment of noise. It's thus near. And it certainly never decreases down for you. But it's much the exact same factor along with individuals who are playing video activities. Also just watching someone participate in a activity does merely that. The only distinctions are with the means they are participating in. But when it definitely matters, when the video really has actually to radiate, you really simply possess two possibilities: tap the services of an in-house group or work with one of the absolute best video production providers to discuss your information and make it stand out. One of his videos is a timeless scenario of giving and receiving. His wife and I operated as a team a couple of full weeks earlier, where he did meetings and video edits for a married couple hours, observed through recording the talk. Video development firms manage the whole entire development procedure so you may just load them in on what you really want, how you want it to feel, and what you prefer it to move visitors to do—they manage the rest. Q: What kind of web content web content has been properly delivered to life? A: Well, in this episode of Cagney, I'm working on an incident concerning art college (the brand-new scientific research educational program). And there’s no deficiency of video development companies out certainly there, prepared to take your message and create that stellar video add, video quick, or feature film. For the a lot of component, there are those who understand better (and much less thus) how to obtain their work done and it's almost consistently done right under your noses, it's your task to produce sure you have the top quality that your brand stands for. Therefore that's something to look at when preparing down new business ventures for. But along with all of the video development firms you possess to pick from, how do you locate the right one for your brand? What's vital is that you want your information delivered to your viewers through a third event, so whether it's a media company, a marketing agency, a public relations firm, a media associations agency (e.g. your YouTube stations) or a marketing firm that you are a participant of need to not interfere with what you say or what you point out in true lifestyle. That’s where we come in. This has to be a talk, and for me this speak is a chat. I'm speaking to two moms and dads who have been having a hard time because of the stigma in the world. View Details wanted to try to communicate even more concerning social compensation, but that preconception was, you recognize, my way of dealing with that problem. And after that, we know the lifestyle's changed. We don't observe that in our culture anymore.

The Warm Reviews Continue To Flood In ForManthan’s “Authentic” And “Stellar” Indian Culinary Experience - Manthan Mayfair
Here at Manthan, we certainly like to talk up all the things that make our stylish Maddox Street eatery so special. However, we also know that it’s probably not only us you would like to hear from before making the decision to dine with us.
That’s why it may interest you to read two recent reviews of the experience provided by our high-end Indian restaurant. It is fair to say the critics were enamoured of our commitment to, and execution of, gastronomic innovation across a wide range of quintessentially Indian, street-food-style dishes.
So, what did some of the most discerning of London’s professional diners have to say? Let’s take a look.
Home-style Indian food that “doesn’t disappoint”
In its recent rundown of the UK capital’s most romantic restaurants, the premium British food magazine Olive chose to feature Manthan on the strength of our “quality Indian street food in a romantic setting”.
The magazine stated that “with a pedigree like chef RohitGhai’s” – referring to our Michelin-starred chef – “expectations of the food at his new Mayfair restaurant are high – and it doesn’t disappoint.”
Olive was complimentary of the “romantic” vibe of our establishment, describing the dining room as “long and wood-panelled, adorned with beautiful paintings of exotic flowers. Even at lunchtime it feels romantic, and the sharing dishes reflect that vibe.”
Working through both ourGalikakhana (street food) and Rassedar (curries) sections, the magazine had plenty of praise for dishes ranging from our “plump and tender” ghati masala prawns and jackfruit tacos that it described as “a revelation”, to – on the dessert menu – “the Classic Trip of sweet laddoo, sticky gulabjamun and creamy srikhand.”

“I rated Manthan very highly”
Looking over to the TripReporter website, writer Andy Mossackwas similarly forthcoming in his approval of the Manthan dining experience.
Describing our venue itself as a “narrow but deep townhouse swathed in gold and dark wood with plenty of soft banquette seating and wall art”, Mossack characterised the ghati masala prawns as “a very tasty starter”, and the ram laddoo as “very impressive”.
The cafrealmachhi, meanwhile, was hailed as “an absolute banger of a dish” with its sea bass accompanied by Goan spices and a burnt tomato. As for the artichoke with white turmeric and a strawberry jus, Mossack saluted it as “another stellar display”. The sauce of fenugreek, tomato, and Kashmiri chilli in which the chicken tikka masala was bathed was also described as “very moreish”.
The TripReporter writer concluded: “I rated Manthan very highly for not only Ghai’s authentic culinary wizardry but also for showing how you can eat very well in Mayfair without slapping on a stellar price point.”
Now, it’s your turn to experience Manthan
Have the excited and enthused words of the professionals got you curious about how we would rate among your own favourite places to eat in Mayfair, or even in London as a whole?
If so, you would be very welcome to make a reservation with us for a time that suits you and your visiting party, so that you can immerse yourself in the Manthan magic resulting from the hard work, skills, and imaginations of Rohit and his business partner AbhishakeSangwan. We would be delighted to see you!

Unvarnished Truth
If there is any prevailing mindset on the internet, it is that it is the wild, wild west. From the moment we were able to access it easily, it was pretty much a case of anything goes. Let the user beware, because you needed to take everything with a grain of salt. The burden has always been on the user to verify before acting upon.

Of course, today we have heard many instances of censorship, with accounts being closed in extreme cases, or content blocked because it violated “community standards” or did not pass fact checkers’ scrutiny. Users have been remiss in not recognizing that platform owners, like Facebook, Twitter, and all the others, can do whatever they want, and we use their platforms at their pleasure, not ours.

But the Supreme Court is reviewing a subject that could have major implications for all sites and social media platforms. Justice Samuel Alito asked the big question: Would the internet collapse if sites were responsible for the content displayed on them?

Wow. Suddenly every bad restaurant or hotel review could become a legal war zone if the restaurant or hotel feels it has been maliciously misrepresented. So much for honest reviews.

Tumblr media
As it turns out, the US has had a liability shield in place for 27 years, leaving counter-arguments from those receiving bad reviews to simply fend for themselves. After all, how could Google, YouTube, et al., possibly police so much content anyway?

That could all change in a heartbeat, and soon.

You might already be thinking about copyrighted music on sites like YouTube. Is YouTube liable if you post a video with your favorite song as a music bed? Technically, no, because following a 2007 case in which Viacom charged YouTube with copyright violation, the burden of proof is on the copyright holder, not the platform. But YouTube (and essentially Google) willingly installed its own algorithms to check for it anyway just to keep trouble to a minimum.

As it turns out, in the EU, YouTube is liable, so it makes sense for YouTube to err on the European side, much like all big websites have done regarding cookies.
Music is one thing, though, and perceived commercial libel is quite another. Sites like Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, and others thrive on customer reviews, which can range from stellar to abysmal. And given the greater propensity of people to complain rather more than congratulate, it’s easy to see how businesses would fear keyboard warriors and the venom they can spew.
In other words, what would be the point of any review sites if the site owner had to police them as well as fact-check them? Nothing would ever be posted aside from glowing 5-star reviews. Those are the ones we as readers trust less anyway, because we are naturally skeptical of high praise. Can anyone say paid shill? Family member?
We automatically expect a hotel to be less than perfect as judged in the court of public opinion. I know I do. I am willing to consider any hotel or restaurant that has an average review of 4.0 or better, out of 5. A 4.4 is pretty good, because it means there haven’t been too many negative reviews.
Basically, negative reviews are the expectation, and the fewer there are, the better the business must be. But absence of negative reviews raises a huge red flag.
I shudder to think how the internet would look if the Supreme Court were to reverse that liability shield. I don’t want to live in a digital world in which it is always sunny and 75. If a reviewer gives you a bad rap, it’s probably because you deserved it, and even more true if there is a plethora of scathing comments. I don’t want to be shielded from the truth.
That’s another way of saying that the liability shield extends to us, shielding us from a glossy veneer that hides the truth about a company. I’m good with this, and I pray that the Supreme Court realizes it before it ruins the internet for everyone.

AIRPOD SHOTTY CASE DRIVER
AIRPOD SHOTTY CASE MANUAL
AIRPOD SHOTTY CASE PRO
The question is whether the DoBuds One is a quality noise suppressor. I’ve never seen sub-$50 wireless buds offer this much noise cancellation.
AIRPOD SHOTTY CASE MANUAL
Donner DoBuds One review: Active noise cancellationĭonner engineered their buds with four different ANC settings - Commute, Indoor, Outdoor, and Manual Noise Reduction - the latter allowing for adjustment up to 10 levels. These buds also come with mSBC, which was developed to support mobile networks with HD voice.
AIRPOD SHOTTY CASE PRO
Music streaming was smooth on Apple Music and Spotify through my MacBook Pro (AAC) and Google Pixel 6 Pro (SBC). I noticed audio synchronization was better on YouTube videos when enabling the feature. It isn’t a significant improvement from standard mode, but certain sound effects are more on cue. Game Mode reduces latency when gaming on mobile devices. There is barely any low-end presence in Classical, bass gets completely lost in Pop, and highs are nonexistent in Rap. The rest are mediocre and diminish the quality on targeted music genres. Leave it on Signature because it’s the most well-balanced of the bunch. There’s a custom setting to create your own sound profile or you can select from six different presets: Donner Signature (the default), Classic, Rap, Monitor, Pop, and Rock. Listeners can tweak sound to their hearing needs through the 8-band EQ in the companion app. The double bass had some stellar reverb that tickled my ears with every pluck and blended nicely with the soulful sax and striking hi-hats. It was nice to be able to hear the low-sounding snares distinctly. Orchestral classics like Duke Ellington and John Coltrane’s “My Little Brown Book” were pleasant listens that didn’t skimp on nuance. I loved how crisp the stabbing piano keys sounded over the booming production. Dre’s “Kush” smacked my eardrums, stimulating head-nods throughout the entire listen. The pulsating drums and searing synths on Dr. Details like the tambourine jingle remained consistent and clear sounding over the jangly chords and multi-layered synths. The midrange was prominent, allowing the catchy harmonies to shine over the infectious beat. Frequencies are well represented, so you won’t feel cheated of specific sonic elements on complex recordings, and bass is tight.īananarama’s “Cruel Summer” offered a perfect mix of everything.
AIRPOD SHOTTY CASE DRIVER
The DoBuds One features a 12mm dynamic driver and custom balanced armature that produces rich, insightful sound to enjoy music fully.
Donner’s Signature EQ preset is well balanced.
Google Assistant was most problematic, struggling to understand basic commands like “when is my next event,” yet registering vague requests like “Bleacher Report,” which directed Chrome to the sports website. Bixby was fine for executing common tasks like “open Spotify” and weather updates. Siri gave me accurate results, notably on macOS, which is something I’m not accustomed to from non-AirPods. That’s a lot of popular culture to squeeze into a ten second video.Google Assistant, Siri, and Bixby are compatible, but performance varies among the three AI bots. Most famous of all, however, is AirPod Shotty, in which a crewmate from popular survival game Among Us, decked out in Louis Vuitton, is shot in half by a AirPod-Shotgun hybrid, revealing that he’s made of cake. #amongus #airpods #suspectįN Meka’s TikTok videos splice together memes with those familiar brands in unfamiliar ways, utilising CGI graphics to showcase an anarchic approach to copyright and IP that leads to such frankensteined-together creations as the Starbucks PS5 and the Doge Rolls Royce. Whether you’ve heard about him likely depends on what age group you fall in, where you hang out online – and, if you’re a strategist and researcher, on what kind of audience intelligence tool you use (hint hint: we make one). Virtual Influencers have been around for years now – you’re probably familiar with Lil Miquela, and you might even follow a few of them on Instagram.īut robot rapper and virtual influencer FN Meka mostly hangs out on TikTok – a platform he’s using to project immense cultural influence by inventively remixing fashion, gaming, automotive and consumer culture, while partnering (or so it seems) with brands like Play Station, Louis Vuitton, Bugatti, Starbucks, Lamborghini, Utah Jazz and Rolls Royce. Underneath my face? I used the #timewarpscan to find out.
