You are known as someone who always dresses in dark, cold tone of the color spectrum. Black, grey, navy, maroon, you name it. So imagine how surprised I feel when you show up in front of me looking like a nice, warm day in the middle of summer.

“Hi!!” you say, grinning like a child in a candy store. You let out one of your adorable giggles through the smile, crescent eyes barely visible under the strands of your hair. It still baffles me how you make my heart skip a beat by doing just the bare minimum.

Maybe my questioning gaze is too obvious that your grin dims a little. “I look weird, don’t I?” And your inquiry makes me splutter out a rushed no so you don’t entertain that thought further. How could you think that, when all I could think about is how radiant you look?

“You look like a sunflower,” I say around a smile, relishing in the way the corners of your lips start turning up again.

“Because of the yellow jacket?” you say, hand reaching mine to entertwine our fingers together.

You’ve always liked the entertwine-kind of handholding, instead of the holding-kind handholding, I don’t know what it’s called but yeah, you know my point. You said it makes you feel safe, lets you feel my fingers in between yours, reassures you that I’m not going anywhere. I wish you’d stop worrying about stuff like that because I’m here to stay.

“Yellow jacket, black hair, blue jeans.. all that makes me think of a painting of sunflowers with the sky as the background.”

“Does that mean you think I’m beautiful?”

The wide grin is back, and it’s obvious that you’re only teasing, but I do.

I do think you are beautiful.

You don’t need to wear bright clothes to be beautiful. You don’t need to give me big grins to be beautiful. You don’t need to hold my hand to be beautiful.

Because everything about you is beautiful, from the way you scrunch your nose to the way you talk to the way you think to the way you love me to the way you let me love you even when you think you are the worst version of yourself.

You’re beautiful for so many reasons but I decide to keep it to myself and only give you an affirmation on your statement earlier.

“You’re beautiful too,” you whisper, hand tightening its hold on mine, and I don’t correct you this time, letting you think for a while that I agree with you even though my mind says you’re lying and only saying that because I said the same thing about you before. No. You made an effort to be different today, so I should too, right?

I never told anyone but my favorite thing about you is your smile. It literally looks like an emoji and it just lights up the dark corners of my brain whenever I see it. Sometimes your smile is so wide it makes your eyes form into crescents, crinkles appearing around your eyes. Sometimes your smile is accompanied by a nose scrunch. Sometimes it is with a hearty giggle, and sometimes it just appears as a simple, close-mouthed one. Either way, I will still like them all.

Right now, though, your smile is the shy kind, partially hidden by your ginormous yellow jacket that you managed to drown yourself in. It hides part of your cheeks too, but I can still see the beginning of a blush coming.

Even your shy smile can wake up the heart of a dying star, can you imagine what your wide smile would do? It could light up an entire galaxy, and the universe would be grateful to have a human being like you to exist within its arms.

For now, I’ll just let you know that I like your smile so that I can continue watching it appear on the pair of your lips. One day, a star would be re-awaken and you’ll realize that it’s because of you.

“I like your smile.”

And you grin, bright as a star, and I fall in love all over again.

Cute, cozy ways to survive winter

- buy a winter-ish tea to warm you up in the morning and the evening. You can also make your own mix (I love cranberry and elderberry)

- take vitamin D3 to boost your mood and prevent seasonal depression

- take beta carotin to have a glowy, tanned skin even without the sunlight

- get a good quality jacket from a material like wool or hemp (eco), and yes, it will cost a lot, but it's worth it. It keeps your warmer than any cheaper jacket and will last longer. A tip from a broke girl: I started to save up money in June. Also I search only in second-hand stores. I also recommend a faux fur. You can already find nice finds for 90€

- few times a week, make yourself a little bath for your feet. After a cold day, pour hot water into a bowl and put some nice bathing salts or etheric oils, I usually do smth that smells like pine trees. Super relaxing and warms your feet ^^

- read winter-ish books. They help to romanticize the cold time and make the season much more special

- get yourself a nice thick pair of socks that you will enjoy wearing during the winter

- dress warm. I have a special thermal set that I always put under my clothes. Avoid wearing jeans, for they will only make you freeze. Wear thick sweaters (I love cashmere, I bought one cheap in a second hand store), or long warm skirts or dresses (they make me feel girly and special during the cold time) remember, when you buy expensive, good quality clothes keep them in natural colors so they're universal and timeless. Remember: the time of cute outfits is over, now we're in the survival mode

- you can add yourself some color with pretty gloves and hats. I love wearing slavic scarves during the winter to honor my heritage

- when buying a shower gel, perfume, shampoo or body lotion peak smells that remind you of winter. I go for mandarine/ orange scents 😊🍊

- drink vitamin c in the morning!!!

- choose a thicker cream for your face, nothing water-based. Your skin needs special care and protection during the winter. I have an acne prone, oily skin, and I still choose thicker creams, so don't be afraid to do the same. My go-to for winter is a levera cream for sensitive skin and a black cumin seed oil. I also like products from PinusVital.

- uv still exists during winter so don't forget a sunscreen!

- decorate your apartment, room or house with winter decor. I'd defiently focus more on winter related things since they will last until March. Christmas things tend to be thrown away much quicker after Christmas. There's so many cute ideas!

- get yourself a sun clock. It's a lamp you put by your bed, which imitates the sunshine. It's especially useful in early mornings since we humans aren't programmed to be waking up in full darkness. It helps to wake up your body :)

- get yourself a bunch of candles and light them in the evening. Element of fire has always been crucial for our ancestors during these trying times

- every single week plan to do something new. It can be finding a new song or new album, going to a restaurant or a coffee shop you've never been to before, learning something new, visiting a place you haven't seen yet, trying out a new recipe, even taking a different rode back from work/school, write a new poem, start a new book, watch a new movie, keep yourself entertained by little things

- out of the same principle, try to redecorate or change placement of furniture from time to time. Our brains get easily bored and especially during winter it can be very depressing. Brains need the change to stay healthy and fit

- especially during cold times, a community is really important. Even if you're an introverted person, it doesn't mean you should stay alone all the time. Humans are social beings, and we need contacts to one another. During winter months and long evenings, loneliness can be very hard. Try looking for a local book club or knitting club or any other club you'd enjoy. Download Bumble BFF it's an app that helps you to find friends! Volunteer at your local senior house or even your local dog shelter. Being constantly alone has literally never done anyone any good.

- burn incenses to boost energies in your household (any time it's needed, of course if you believe in stuff like this :) ) I recommend orange incense (brings luck and happiness)

- spend time outside. During the week I barely have time but every weekend I try to go on a walk possibly out in the nature. Your mental state regulates this way. Just 15 minutes of walk outside each day can boost your mood. Believe me, it comes from a person who struggled a lot with depressions.

- don't forget to eat well. You burn more calories during the winter because your body uses lots of energy to keep itself warm. Eat regular, well-balanced food portions. I love vegetarian food magazines that offer amazing seasonal recipes, so you cook with vegetables and fruits that actually grow during the winter. I think it adds more magic and meaning to the season to cook with seasonal food.

- wake up early. And early can be different for every person, but sleeping in every day is not proven to be healthy. Sleeping in causes chronic diseases, slows down your metabolism, and can cause social problems. Of course, there's nothing wrong with having one slower day, but having a crazy sleeping schedule can get you in sleep debt that will not result in anything productive.

- pick projects you want to accomplish during winter like for example my projects are: learn about local birds and mammals, make a little house in my local forest, learn how to diy fairy houses, learn how to knit :)

❄️Remember that winter time is the time to slow down and relax. Look around at nature and see how everything is seemingly dead and waiting for the spring. Don't worry if you're not being great all the time or constantly achieving new milestones because it's totally fine to calm down after many months of work. I know that the capitalism convinced us that we should always work, no matter what, but I just want you to remember that nature intended otherwise and of you're more tired and sleepy during these months that's totally normal. Just be kind to yourself.❄️

I have to ask some Hard questions bc I love the look but want to know how functional they are (not to like be Mean but it’s stuff I’d like to know before I Commit yknow?)

What’s the panty line visibility on the pants? I feel like synthetic blends for leggings and pants are naturally thinner than like jeans and panty lines are Super obvious on them. And even wearing boxers doesn’t always help bc then u can see where all the boxers fabric is bunching up near the thighs :/

Do the pants ride up and like over accentuate Bulge or make camel toe

How much does the Color of Whatever you’re wearing underneath show through any fabrics? I know that’s just kind of the nature of lighter color fabrics but it helps to know in advance

Does the fabric/pattern stretch so much in basic movements that it becomes see through? (Like how shoddy workout pants aren’t Squat Proof) (or like would stretching say a black pattern fabric too far show all the white threads of the undyed Other side of the fabric?)

Well first off, this is nowhere near Mean so definitely don't worry about it, haha. Now let's see if I can answer all of these without writing a whole novel.. Panty line visibility and color of w/e is underneath pretty much have the same answer: It's only really an issue on really light (or particularly white) designs. I have a disclamer on my Striped Joggers and Checkerboard Joggers because of the large white areas, which is as follows: "A note about white clothing: like many white fabrics, large white areas on this design are less opaque than our usual dark offerings. Nude undergarments are recommended, as dark or bright colors will show through slightly. The model shown here is wearing Thigh Society "The Staple" shorts in beige underneath these joggers, which work perfectly!" And as the disclaimer says, I recommend Thigh Society (not at all sponsored, I just wear them a lot in real life) undergarments for white or light joggers. Any nude undergarment would be fine, but they have the added benefit of not showing any lines and not bunching/rolling up at all. Next for crotch area accentuation issues: I don't think there are any. If you're at all concerned, just wear them low-waisted. Worn low-waisted they have a drop crotch, so they're nowhere near anything you don't want accentuated. Then last for if the fabric/pattern stretches and becomes see-through: Same as above, it's more likely with a very light or white color and if you have something bright or dark underneath. For the second part of this question: yes If you stretch the fabric out as far as you can, you can tell that the other side is white. But it's harder to do on the joggers than the skirts because the jogger fabric is thicker. Hopefully I answered everything and it helps some!

The outfits of Pete - Some Observations

You know, as I was reading @blackwatervial's post about "The Pete Show" ep 3 which is this one here, my focus stayed on her comment about Pete's party clothes and them being mostly black and white. So, I decided to check them all again + every other instance he wears civilian clothes, to notice them and come to my own conclusions. So, we start with the first instance which is his first time at Hum Bar, ep 3:

The difference of the colors + the pattern pop off the screen, making the black and white - along with the dark blue jeans - super evident. Tbh I see this as his exterior being in complete contrast to his interior (his nuanced mentality VS his life which is in absolutes).

The second instance is in ep 5, again when the gang goes to Hum Bar:

Pls excuse my shitty screenshots, I wanted to capture the totality of the outfit as much as possible. Here it's also very black and white, with the white popping way more than the black, even though he's mostly wearing black pieces of clothing (his T-shirt underneath + his dark blue jeans + his shoes, which are the same converse as the first outfit). I love this because during this scene Vegas arrives on his bike, wearing only black clothes so they contrast each other. What I find interesting in this outfit though are the words/phrases on the white shirt he's wearing on top - or at least the ones I managed to read: - Embrace the ocean waves, and - Reclaim the Sea

Something something, accept what cannot be changed? The inevitability of your life conditions? Idk, I'll leave this to the smart people in the fandom to figure out. Another instance in civilian clothes is my beloved condom scene in ep 6:

Here we don't see the full outfit but we can understand that he's wearing a jean blue shirt and a white T-shirt beneath, again playing with the black and white aesthetic, which is emphasized due to the minimum lightning of the scene. What I found very interesting is that the jean shirt has a painting on its back, which unfortunately I don't know the origins of. It may be a famous painting or just sth random but I love how you can distinguish a door and a window there. It's on his back too, incredible symbolism and all that, you get the gist. Next up, ep 7 in which we have 2 outfits. The first one was during Don's mission:

Here we see some color variation in the form of beige(?) but still, it's black and white. I like how it's mostly light colors/white here, since he's on a mission and is supposed to be as discreet as possible to not alarm Don's men - though that failed immediately because he's the only one they check because he seemed new lol. The second outfit is at the party, after the successful Don mission:

The second picture is here because he looks amazing, LOOK AT HIS BEAUTY I CAN'T- So, yeah, anyway, the black is back. And I find the choice interesting because it's the first (almost) all black outfit he has worn in the entire show so far, besides his uniform. Maybe it's his subconscious way of blending into the dark background, bodyguard mode activated? Who knows? It sure is interesting to think about though. Now, in regards to this outfit, one thing that a beautiful Tumblr post mentioned is the T-shirt he wears underneath:

It says "Youth" and he wears it at the end of the show too, which is insane to me. More on that, later. So, here we go, ep 9 temple scene:

God, I love this scene for so many reasons. The pattern of dark - light is still present, though this time it's dark blue instead of black, while Vegas wears black clothes with some white popping out from his fabulous witch shirt. I really like the contrast of the colors between them and how you can kind of get the vibes of the scene just from their outfits alone. NOW, here we go. Ep 13, Hum Bar scene:

Black and white pattern again, my beloved. I need to mention sth which might be only me and my blindness to things BUT I feel it's possible: This is the only outfit so far in which the colors kind of blend and aren't separate; specifically, the black bleeds into the white, it isn't distinct from it like his previous outfits. Hmm, wonder what this could mean for his character post Vegas. Curious. Last but definitely not least, ep 14, hospital scene:

FUCK, I love this outfit so much. It's such a beautiful combination and I can't get enough of Pete's beauty. The most striking thing to me is that, even though this contrast of dark and light he always wore outside of work still exists here, it seems so well blended together in contrast to before. The colors compliment each other and the end result is so pleasant to the eyes. It's like the clothes are trying to explain that Pete is finally at peace with himself and where he is, he is being his true self. And wearing the "Youth" T-shirt here with all the symbolism the word provides, a T-shirt he wore in the only situation he confronted Vegas flirting Porsche dead on as a bodyguard of Kinn. Ugh, I could spend hours thinking about it. Yeah, so, those are all the outfits. I didn't add the ones he was wearing at night as pyjamas or at the safehouse because I wanted to focus on the civilian side of things, what he wore outside of his role as a bodyguard (and at the safehouse it's not like he was wearing anything haha). Hope someone smarter than me manages to analyze his clothes one day. It's super interesting to think about.

Hello, y’all!

I’ve had this one character for about four years now, and just like me, she’s dressed like Adam Sandler since her creation. Unfortunately, out of my cast of characters, this one is far from the only poor sweet creation of mine subjected to my tragic lack of style. So, I figured it was about time I at least attempt to fix that.

I figured I should start off this series(??) of Character Closet Makeovers with some rather casual outfits for my dear child Buffy Whinsnap.

Most of these outfits are meant to be relatively comfortable, warm (with the option to be less so), and easy enough to maneuver in while still looking cute and being something Buffy would enjoy. She takes a liking to many different clothing styles, but seems to like outfits from alternative-inspired styles, like goth, scene, and cottage/forestcore. Here we mostly see outfits inspired by gothic and scene-esq ideas, but Buffy likes to keep her number of clothing pieces relatively low, and also loves being able to show off the band tees and trinkets she’s collected. I hope to add more forest/cottagecore outfits in the more formal addition to her closet makeover.

I like adding little tags describing or giving insight on some objects/clothing pieces! Apologies if my handwriting is illegible :’)

I know this outfit isn’t technically true or traditional goth, but it’s as best as Buffy can really do right now with her income and allergy to plastics. Most of her clothes are cotton or some other natural fiber. The only time she can really afford to wear any sort of plastic is if it’s not going to touch her skin. Because of her having allergic reactions to coming into contact with plastic, she often wears long sleeves and sometimes even gloves in crowded public areas to avoid being hurt. Also yeah I was thinking of Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice whilst drawing this what of it sue me I can’t help the fact that she’s pretty and iconic and that I’m definitely attracted to women admit it you think she’s pretty too

Buffy loves her Our Chemistry’s Affair “Yayx3 Revenge” shirt almost as much as she loves not having to look people in the eye by just ✨having her hair cover her eyes✨ My girl’s like five feet tall, the only ones capable of looking her in the eye are toddlers, hyper elementary schoolers, and anxious insecure middle schoolers who are too busy or anxious to look her in the eyes anyway. The perks of Not Talking and having fluffy hair ig.

Her cardigan is cozy, but also slips off easily. This may sound annoying, but she actually appreciates it. If someone’s chasing her and grabs the tail of her cardigan, or it gets caught on something, she can just keep running and it won’t hold her back. Then she can go back later because who would let a good cardigan go to waste like that

This is one of her more generic outfits, yes, but there are several perks to it!

The long sleeves help keep her warm, which is good already (temperature regulation who?), but the sleeves are really long and can be unfolded to be used as grips or mitts to handle hot or rough things. Her corset may not seem super conventional, but it’s actually helpful in many ways. It can be used to hide thinner things (paper money, cards, small pouches of medicines, etc), and is made of quality leather and reinforced with interlocking wooden plates which can help protect against blunt force and stabbing attacks.

This outfit was really fun to design! I wanted to give her a brighter, more energetic, scene-inspired outfit. I would’ve given her the early 2000s knee-high Converse, or platform Converse, but let’s be honest: she’s not going to spend that long lacing up shoes, and there’s no way she’d be able to run and fight in five-inch platforms atm.

Buffy never goes anywhere without a long-sleeved shirt or jacket, and I’m well aware of this. Problem is, I REALLY wanted to give her those elbow-length, striped fingerless gloves. So I decided to commit a “fashion atrocity” (or so I’ve been told) and give her a sleeve-optional hoodie. To be honest, I think it looks okay. Something popular in the scene fashion is LAYERS. So many layers. Everywhere. So I figured a third and obvious layer could work with this outfit. What do you think? Buffy thinks it’s a good idea despite the potential judgement, because detachable sleeves have many uses. Hot? Take the sleeves off. Cold? Put the sleeves back on. In need of an emergency rope? Take a sleeve off and use it for that. Also in need of a makeshift tourniquet? Sleeve. Maybe we should all just start wearing detachable sleeves in case someone grabs/stabs at us?

I feel like Buffy would’ve loved wearing khandi jewelry, with all of their fun colors and patterns, and ability to easily cover scarring and stains, but khandi in the scene fashion is almost always made of plastic, and Buffy’s not going to subject herself to allergic reactions just for fashion and some nice clinking noises. So, she got some khandi bracelets made out of wooden beads! And the good news is that they can be used to start a fire in an emergency, so she feels carrying these random bracelets around is justified. I would’ve given her some coon tail hair extensions too, but I didn’t really know how to work those into her hair, since she tries to avoid using heat on her hair and therefore wouldn’t be straightening it, so the coon tails might look out of place.

Buffy usually tries to avoid wearing lighter colors due to stain risks (pasta sauce, dirt from falling off her horse, stab wounds, ink tears, etc.), but one of her few exceptions (“you are the only exception”) is her gray Nuclear Boii t-shirt (yes I will be drawing off-brand band tees until the day my soul passes on), and the light blue flannel she likes pairing with it. The good news is that this flannel is vintage and made of quality materials, which means that (despite the slashes and holes Buffy’s had to sew and patch up) it’s more durable and easier to use in situations that call for bindings and blankets. Her only real problem with this flannel though, is that it’s hard to add hidden pockets to it because you’d see the bulging. Good news is that bobby pins exist for the sake of her beanie. She can’t hide too much inside of the beanie itself, but her hair is thick and abundant, and could easily hypothetically stash money, meds, needles, thread, and/or a knife or two. Who knows what’s in there? Just don’t touch the hat. Or the hair. Or her, in general. She’s low-key germaphobic. There’s a reason she almost never leaves her house without a mask on.

HOW did you make your Baldr cosplay. You've inspired me to wanna try and make one too, got any tips on doing it?

aaaaaa I feel so honored I inspired you!!!! ;0; my disclaimer is that I am the farthest thing from a professional lol, but I will show you how I did it! My cosplay philosophy is that I am lazy and want to spend as little money as possible ⭐ I always use clothes I already own, the base outfit I already owned I only needed to get the belts, hoodie and wig

Mark of mastery by MadeByFjori on Etsy ($6 USD) I bought it unpainted to save money and just got some metallic gold paint :) its really good quality and shipped fast! I had taped a safety pin on the back of it to attach it to the hoodie (I had tried super gluing it but it mf broke off!!! Tape it is,)

Wig (mine is the Skyelar classic in silver from Arda Wigs!) If you have no experience styling wigs that's fine since Baldr's hair is so choppy that if you fuck it up it works LOL I always style my wigs while wearing them thats just me, I brushed the hair in front of my face and cut the bangs around the bottom of my eyes and went from there. I also cut part of the sides framing my face

If you have dark hair like me I recommend a skin colored wig cap!!! Dark hair spilling out from a white wig will look weird, they sell them kn the Arda Wigs site

Okay but let's talk real shit: the Hoodie. It's a plain white sweatshirt from Amazon, size up to get that oversized look Baldr has. Also disclaimer: do NOT get a thick hoodie I tried my best to get a light weight one and oh my god. For something that is essentially Just Sleeves I was SWEATING TO DEATH okay anyway materials:

Hoodie base

Gold fabric (I bought 1 yard and had more than enough)

Black buttons x2

Black ribbon

Tassel

Fabric scissors, fabric glue, needle/thread, safety pins

Black and orange markers

If you get a hoodie like mine where the hood strings have metal around the edges, use white paint or white out (I did not have time to buy white paint,) to paint over the metal so its not distracting

Now the How To:

Pull out your hood strings if applicable, paint any metal like I mentioned above

Use fabric glue to add black ribbon around the sleeves, do this in sections not all at once, do the ends of the ribbon around the back of your armpit to hide the ends. On my hoodie there was a hem on the sleeves that I followed so it was easy to make it even on both sides

Crop sweatshirt in half and cut down the middle front but DO NOT go all the way to the top where the hood is, stop about 2 inches away from it otherwise you will be me having to sew that shit back together

Measure where you want the front to fold open, you will probably have to cut more off of the sweatshirt bc if its too big you will be pinning that shit onto the top of your shoulders, basically shorter in the front and longer in the back (I know mine is so messy I didn't measure I just guessed I know wtf @ me-)

Flip hoodie inside-out and add gold fabric to the inside of the hoodie, leave about half an inch room around the edge for hemming, yes the entire inside too, I found that when I moved around I could see the back of the inside and it looks weird when the gold fabric suddenly stops

If you have a sewing machine or want to do this by hand then fold over the edges and hem it on top of the gold (not me tho I was con crunching and glued that shit all the way around,) it cleans up the edges and adds the white border to the part you will pin open

What I WANTED to do was to sew the buttons onto the hoodie and add button holes on what would get pinned but I did not have the time so I sewed the buttons directly onto the front pieces so when I fold it open I used 2 safety pins on each side to hold it up

For the tassel: I colored it with a peachy/light orange sharpie and a black one. I measured how long I wanted it to be and cut the other end off and used fabric glue on the end to stop fraying. I wrap it around the buttons and do a simple loop knot to keep it in place

if you end up doing what I did irt the tassel, don't go in with a regular orange marker bc it came out so dark on the fabric its made of like I just happened to have this peach/skin tone sharpie that came out the right shade on the gold fabric

Finally, pin the mark of mastery in place!

Now you are Baldr :)

An analysis of Esra’s costume in Midnight at the Pera Palace (contains spoilers) - PART 1/3

First of all, I’d like to point out that I understand very little about costume design and cinema in general, so this is merely my interpretation. You should feel free to disagree and/or add to the discussion. I’d love to hear from other perspectives!

Alright, so let’s begin!

The very first outfit we see Esra in is also the only truly modern outfit she wears in the series. She’s wearing a somewhat professional, but simple and “laid back” white blouse with jeans and a pair of white sneakers. She also wears a light purpleish/greyish coat over this outfit every now and then and a very colorful necklace that, honestly, looks like something either made or worn by a child.

I believe this is to show how innocent, naive and child-like Esra is. In this office context, she still manages to throw in something fun to brighten up the mood, just like she always tries to spice things up when she gets an assignment. She’s very smiley and insistent even as her boss stares disappointingly at her. She tours the hotel with wide shiny eyes both in the present and in the past. You can tell she’s just having a marvelous time and ignoring all the stares she is getting. Halit even tries to crack a joke about her outfit in an attempt to make conversation, but she’s not affected by it at all. She’s a pure soul wondering around the world looking at all the tiniest things and seeing greatness in all of them — just like a child.

The second outfit Esra wears is the green outfit Peride died in. It is much darker than her previous outfit and we later learn that Peride’s personality is in fact the complete opposite of Esra’s. Unlike Peride at the moment of her death, Esra isn’t wearing dark make up and it’s clear that her personality doesn’t really mesh with the dark dress. She’s still trying to learn how to pose as Peride and properly step into her shoes, but her face still turns her in.

Esra then comes down the stairs and has her second encounter with Halit, who she believes to be Peride’s murderer. She’s no longer wearing the light colored outfit he mocked at the party. Esra is scared for her life now and she’s literally wearing the clothes of a dead woman — the woman she thinks he killed.

Once she’s at Peride’s home, Esra learns a bit more about Peride’s environment and the people that surrounded her. By the time Halit and George arrive for dinner, she is wearing an even darker blue gown and she’s also wearing dark make up, as Peride usually did. She sounds more confident and even arrogant, like Peride, even if she still let’s some of her own moral views slip into the conversation.

To me, this shows not only how she’s getting more comfortable and convincing in Peride’s shoes, but also how awful is her opinion of Halit at this point. Everytime they meet, she’s wearing a darker outfit than before. You can hear the disgust in her voice as she talks to him and that is very clearly Esra talking, not Peride.

Halit is now getting suspicious of Esra. He warns her about the consequences of not keeping her mouth shut and asks her to meet him at the Garden Bar.

By the time Esra goes to the Garden Bar… You guessed it. Darker clothes. In fact, black clothes this time. This is when Halit tries to confront her. He has no clue what is going on, but he knows she’s pretending to be somebody else. He dances confidently as she stumbles, but she soon manages to throw him off. “Are you murderer?” she asks. He doesn’t look so confident anymore and she stops stumbling as she continues to accuse him. Esra then, sounding (and looking!) a lot more like Peride than Esra now, takes a couple steps closer. With a lifted chin, she disses both Halit and Mustafa Kemal and leaves in triumph. Halit’s even more confused than before.

In the morning, Esra discusses with Peride’s father and gets kicked out. She then meets Halit at the Garden Bar once again, wearing the same black gown from the night before (I really hope she showered). Back then, she lied about not caring for Mustafa Kemal, this time, she lies about why she was asking about Fahrettin. At this point, neither Esra nor Halit trust each other.

Esra’s next costume is the most colorful so far, it looks modern and she wears it while singing a modern song. She’s putting on a show in multiple senses and you can see that she is, once again, just having fun with it all.

I think this is the moment when Esra shows her true colors (pun intended). The last time we watched Esra being Esra herself she was also wearing modern clothes. All the modern elements in her performance are there to remind us of who she really is.

Another aspect I think is worth mentioning is that she is singing a turkish song, which is a subtle resistance move in this context, even if she didn’t know there was a law against it. The whole crowd is paying attention and having fun with her, enjoying this glimpse of a modern and independent Turkey, but Halit… Halit is mesmerised. Not only he is feeling the same as the crowd, he is also finally getting a glimpse of the woman he’s been searching for in the last 2 years. By the time Esra finishes the song and smiles at all the applause, you can see a shy grin in the corner of Halit’s lips. He just can’t hold it.

Halit then approaches Esra by the bar and tells her why he can’t hire her. He seems genuinely sorry he can’t. Esra, like the fun, confident and absolutely colorful person that she is, cracks a joke — and this is the first time we watch Halit let out a laughter. He is letting his guard down.

But the truth is Esra does not trust Halit yet. She puts Peride’s black coat over the colorful costume before she accepts Halit’s invitation to leave the bar with him. He tells her to mind her step and she very obviously ignores it, since she steps on a pile of horse excrement. Perhaps, she should trust him...

what i think redacted characters look like (sam edition!)

notes: y hello there!! sry i disappeared for a bit until earlier today, the last half of this week has been a bit busy w school. i’m gonna start working on the tank version of the ‘dynasty’ miniseries (i need to come up w a better name) later tn. i’ve also started inktober, so i’ll start posting that too!! — i wanted to make this as a drawing and writing reference if i ever needed it, plus i keep thinking about it and i needed to get it out of my head, so here u go.

~ height ~ i thought sam was pretty average height at first (like 5’11, maybe 6’0) until i saw this tumblr post referencing the “ur bond w a vampire” video, and the op said smth along the lines of, “imagine sam being so tall he has to bend down to walk into darlin’s apartment” and i’ve been a super mega tall sam believer ever since. sam is like david-height, maybe even taller to make it extra funny that he’s intimidated by him. (also i tried looking for the post mentioned, but i couldn’t find it, i’m sry!)

~ hair style ~ i think his hair is mid-length— like to his jaw. i don’t think it’s curly, but i think it’s curled at the ends, if that makes sense? like it’s fluffy, so it curls around his jaw and on the nape of neck. he has it parted in the middle for fancy occasions, but usually it’s just pushed back to keep it out of his face (NOT WITH GEL THO. that is a v important point.) i’m going to admit smth diabolical; i think sam has curtain bangs, but i don’t think it’s intentional. his hair just kind of grew like that, so he just gets it cut like that now. i think it’s also constantly falling to his face, and whenever he tries to push it back, a piece just pops back onto his forehead sneakily. perhaps he wears headbands sometimes. maybe darlin even buys them for him. we’ll nvr know.

~ hair color ~ sam’s hair has to be light brown, no i’m not taking opinions. i think it’s that kind of light brown that it’s ALMOST blonde, but only when it’s in the sun. his hair looks like gold thread under the sunlight me thinks.

~ eye color ~ pre-vampirism, i think sam’s eyes were a dark green/hazel-ish color. his eyes kind of looked like a forest, if that makes sense. now, his eyes r silver, but they hv v little crimson flecks in them. i don’t know if the amount of them has anything to do w how long a vamp’s been turned/how old they r, but i just imagine sam’s don’t hv much. maybe i just think his eyes look more human than most vamps’.

~ face ~ sam’s face is like a square/heart mix, w some light stubble along his jaw. i think his eyes r slightly downturned, and he has thicker brows. (i might draw him eventually, but i am terrified i will not do him justice.)

~ body type ~ i think he’s muscular. not like freaky raw chicken-esque muscles gym bro kind of muscular, but the kind of muscular that are comforting and can protect u. his arms r pretty muscular, and i think he has abs. he’s less muscular than david, tho.

~ clothing ~ white tank top (like a wife beater), unbuttoned flannel, jeans. boom. that’s literally all he wears. he doesn’t wear the exact same clothes every day ofc— but he’s got different colored flannels for every occasion imaginable, as well as an endless supply of jeans and white tank tops. i believe he’s got some pretty nice clothes that previously collected dust in his closet, but now tank steals them. also, i’m gonna say smth all might not agree with.. i don’t think sam wears cowboy boots!!! i’m sry i’m sry!!! hold the tomatoes tho and let me explain. i think he believes they’re impractical. so instead, sam wears sneakers. black converse to be specific; they’re so beat up he can just slip them on without even trying at this point. the little aglets r ripped off of the laces, too.

What kind of clothes your sticks like to wear?

I mean the style and colors they like to wear

I confess, I'm bad with fashion names and trends, so I did my best:

Orange wears whatever looks nice, they're not too picky on the style. If they have a trend, I feel like they like to wear cozy vests and loose sweaters. I picture them sort of looking like they fit "cool librarian" aesthetic

Red loves wearing flannel jackets and pants when it's casual. I always picture her wearing some sort of plaid. She's also one of the few sticks to wear makeup of the group too, she just sticks to the "nude" look.

Blue I see being like a farmer meets light goth aesthetic. That or he switches between the two aesthetics depending of working with plants that day or not.

Green sticks to "cool guy" aesthetic. Always nice suits if he's going out someplace fancy or the most stylish shirts and pants. I feel like of the color gang, Green is just the most clothing conscious and hip to modern fashion trends.

Yellow would like casual outfits. Simple t-shirts, shorts and maybe sometimes skirts if they feel up for it. They would wear loungewear or pajamas all day if they could get away with it (sometimes they can!) I also see them wearing glasses too.

Purple, like Green, very fashion conscious and would wear anything that screams "I'm rich and beautiful". He def loves the aristocratic looks. He also wears make-up, but he likes going all out unlike Red- falsies, heavy eyeshadow, the whole works.

Mango only dresses for business. Simple white button shirt, black pants, maybe even a tie if it's "serious" business. Otherwise, Mango would pass on wearing outfits.

Chosen and Dark hate clothing, but if you twisted their arms and had to make them wear something, they'd lean to punk. Dark would be more willing to wear spikes and collars along with his outfit where Chosen would keep it simple to leather vests and ripped jeans. But they'll shove it in some closet and forget about it after this.

Victim would be a fan of turtle necks and fun looking glasses. Wardrobe is nothing but turtle necks XD

★ Differences in Ebony post-amnesia! (or: Just a shitton of lore!)

(these are all just written as info so please excuse messy sentence structure) For clarification: Pre-amnesia is 1720′s to early 2010′s, post-amnesia is early 2010′s to modern day!

★ A more modern fashion sense. I will split these up for easy reading: Pre-amnesia:

- Lots of dark colors, mostly blacks and dark blueish/red shades. - Didn’t enjoy wearing dresses or skirts, kept those reserved for when she would need to wear them to blend in or for a  very special occasion (like a date). Same with high heels. - Dressed for easy mobility, comfort, and blending in. - Think tight fitting dark bottoms, dark long-sleeved button-ups, long black fitted coats, and shin-height boots with a short heel . She did adapt to the times so the fit of things changed throughout the years but the general silhouette stayed the same. - Didn’t enjoy unnecessary frills on her clothes but did like wearing silver-colored jewelry, mostly necklaces and earrings. - Light eye make-up. - Had her hair tied back about 70% of the time. - Had no problem showing cleavage in a casual setting but didn’t show her stomach. - Hid her birthmark to avoid standing out. - Bought clothes new and sometimes had them tailor-made if she intended to keep them for a long time.

Post-amnesia: - Hot girl summer era. - More modern, flashy, and liberating style. - Still saves dresses and high heels for special occasions but does enjoy how they make her feel. - Dresses for easy mobility, comfort, and to impress (though mostly herself). - Still lots of dark shades but with light pieces to offset them and more varying colors. - Think high waisted bottoms (often jean-material), cropped tops or tanktops, short leather jackets in varying dark colors, ankle-height boots with a taller but chunky heel. Still wears mostly tight-fitting clothing. - Enjoys wearing tops with glittery fabrics, especially on nights out, and likes to pair them with more dramatic make-up and occasionally body glitter. Jewelry is a must for any outfit. - Wears her hair down more often than not, sometimes goes through the effort to curl it or even serves up a sleek slicked-back look. - Often shows cleavage or at least collarbones and shows midriff mostly on sunny/warm days. - Doesn’t hide her birthmark. - Thrifts clothes and on occasion shoplifts them.

★ Financial status. While very shortly after running away from home in 1720, Ebony did struggle for a few decades to adjust to her new lifestyle, she over time became very financially stable, enough to have money in several places to dip into during her travels. She could have pooled it all and been quite wealthy, but didn’t really care to return to the cushy life she had as a child. Her homes (often temporary) were fairly small and humble when she wasn’t simply living with her master. After suffering amnesia, Ebony woke up in Limbo City with nothing. She has to get by mostly on favors and charity and early on she almost exclusively shoplifts her food. Eventually she does start making steady-ish money through odd jobs, but in my main verse it has only been 7 years since she suffered amnesia, so she’s still far from where she was. She often can’t make rent and has to move around and still falls back on shoplifting on occasion, but has a lot more connections now to rely on for income and the occasional favor.

★ Lower standards for food. Pre-amnesia, Ebony was actually kind of snobby about food. She ate food prepared by her father or the family chef for the first 18 years of her life, and once she found her footing and started profiting properly from her contracts she started cooking for herself and dining out often. Given that she traveled a lot and was over 300 years old, her palette became very refined. She also made a habit of cooking for her friends.  Since Ebony post-amnesia starts off very much broke and living off favors and shoplifting, she quickly becomes used to eating whatever she can get her hands on to deal with her high metabolism. Sure, she realizes she has preferences, but initially isn’t very picky, doesn’t have a refined palette, and rarely cooks. Over time, as she becomes more financially stable-ish she does start cooking a bit more and treating herself to her favorite meals and sweet treats but even 7 years post-amnesia it’s still nothing like how it was before.

★ Severe lack of ‘healthy’ hobbies. Before her amnesia, Ebony over time grew to love sharpshooting, horseback riding (thanks to her time in the wild west), traveling, gardening (as a sort of homage to her father, who she would see working in their gardens a lot during her youth), cooking (see above), journaling (all in one, thick leather-bound journal to document important or sentimental moments or save small memorable items such as labels from a liquor bottle she drank with a friend), and sketching (purely pencil sketches inside her journal to add a visual to her writings and capture important moments). Post-amnesia, if you ask her about any hobbies, she’ll say something like ‘drinking, having sex, and dancing’. Of course, there is definitely still time for her to rediscover the hobbies she has forgotten about.

★ Less formal speech. Ebony’s speech has always been pretty relaxed, but she is old and used to use some pretty outdated terms and phrases at times. She would curse less often and be a little more graceful about discussing certain topics. Post-amnesia she’s obviously exposed to way different speech patterns without remembering her old ones, so she ends up sounding more like what someone would expect from her physical age and appearance; more straight-forward and blunt.

★ No German.  Although she rarely ever spoke full German even shortly after running away from home, Ebony never forgot the language and still used phrases at times, mostly curse-words and terms of endearment. Post-amnesia she can still understand German if she tries, but hasn’t run into much or has simply ignored the way the language makes her brain feel all static-y. When she encounters short German phrases that she can understand she simply assumes that these things are common knowledge. The same goes for other languages that she knew, namely multiple sign-languages. She can understand them, but not speak/use them without considerable effort.

★ Less skilled in combat. Ebony didn’t lose any of her physical strength and agility, but muscle memory hasn’t retained all of the things she learned over 300 years. As she grows into her new self, she slowly develops a new fighting style that’s less elegant than before but more dirty. She exploits Limbo a lot more.

★ Uses more technology. Pre-amnesia Ebony never disliked technology and always made sure that she kept up with technological advancements, but didn’t rely on it as much. Post-amnesia she uses her phone about as much as any of us do in our free time.

★ More open to romantic connections. After Ebony’s very first love (Therese, in the 1730′s) died of human disease, she spent her 300+ years very wary of growing too close to humans, especially romantically. She did have two more relationships with humans, one of  which she abruptly ended by vanishing from their life when she felt herself becoming too attached (which, yes, is a really awful and selfish thing to do). The other partner (Mateo, in the 1820′s) ended up becoming her fiancé, but got too deeply involved with the underworld and ended up being brutally killed by Mundus in some sick display of power. This obviously became a deep source of trauma for her. With her memories gone Ebony doesn’t remember these heartbreaks and traumas and has essentially been given a clean slate. She does still feel some apprehension to the idea of having a long-time human partner, or even an inhuman partner who ages regularly, but not nearly as much. Her sexual activity has mostly stayed the same. Ebony has always been open to casual sexual encounters.

★ Less hostile towards Mundus (the Demon King of Limbo). Even though Mundus tried to convert Ebony to his side after he found out about the loss of her memories, in which he very nearly succeeded, she doesn’t hate him nearly as much as before. He’s awful and she hates what he stands for, but she doesn’t remember him killing her fiance as mentioned above. Pre-amnesia she would sometimes involve herself in plans to try and end his rule of Limbo, but post-amnesia she mostly does her best to avoid him, though she will sometimes mess with his business in subtle ways just for her own amusement.

16th January 2023, 6.40pm

＊about the days after Christmas and before the new year, as defined in the previous entry

31st December 2022 —

I ran to the train station to get to Padua. I forgot the times of home, how long busses take to go places, how far walking takes me, so I missed the tram and I put on my headphones and I walked for a while to get to the station, just in time to get a ticket at the machine and jump on the train with Ma.

She’s always late too, so in a way we were late together, which in turn made us a bit more on time because we were not alone in being late.

I was wearing a dark brown cardigan with a white t-shirt and black straight-legged jeans; my clothes for New Year’s were in my bag, next to two bottles of prosecco. I like the idea of being the one who brings some prosecco to parties, and I find it delicious when it’s actually good. A family friend, a friend of my mother’s, has a winery, and he makes a batch per year just to gift his friends and sell at farmer’s markets. It must not be too profitable, but the wine is sweet and fresh, light and bubbly.

When we arrived in Padua, we bought some ice. It’s unusual, but I had offered to bring some and apparently you can buy it in supermarkets. I got three bags. V. texted he got three too. And so we went at Cl.’s, where we would sleep, and I got changed into a lace shirt I bought second hand and some leather pants I stole from my mother’s closet - I did not like how they fit, but it was the best I could do; they are too big around the waste, and there’s too much excess fabric around the hips, which makes me look bigger than I want to appear. Regards of that, I still liked how I looked. I put on some silver eye shadow and some glitter. The idea was some kind of glam rock look. 90s does 70s.

The party was a few houses over, at G.’s place. My friends from Padova are all very well off, living in the center in big apartments. Hers was huge, it must have been two apartments connected. The living room’s ceiling was beautiful, decorated with a tasteful trim which must’ve been there for more than half a decade. The walls of the room where lined with bookshelves: a vast collection of colorful Adelphi, some hardback Einaudi, an encyclopedia.

During the night I had fun. I spent time between the living room, the terrace and the second living room. The first was where we put together a small bar, setting up the bottles and the ice and the glasses on a table, and where we turned off the chandelier lights in favor of some colorful ones to danced under. The terrace was for smoking, but smoking at parties is not only a vice, but also a way to socialize, so sometimes I stepped outside just to chat away from the dancefloor. In the last room, we ate food. Some people brought food, there was anything I could have thought of: some torte salate, charcuterie, vegetables and hummus dips, lenticchie, pizza, and other stuff I cannot remember. The lenticchie made me happy, because lentils are usually eaten at new year’s in sign of good luck, but that is not a tradition my family has. My family has no traditions, and participating in them with my friends makes me unbelievably happy.

I talked a lot with B. She’s studying in Paris. I talked a lot with Cl.M. too. She left her university and I did not know. She was studying in Ireland, but she said life abroad just was not for her, and so she decided to come back to Italy.

1st January 2023 —

At one point, a bit after midnight, I really felt happy. Simply happy. Maybe it was the gin or maybe the prosecco or maybe I was truly happy or maybe I was happy both because of everything around me and because of the drinks.

I even felt hopeful. Being there with all those people, feeling their warmth again, hearing that most of them are doing good and that those who aren’t probably soon will do well. I looked up while everyone was singing and dancing and laughing and I felt grateful. It happens once or twice a year.

I almost did not think of M. He’s usually a constant thought in my head. I thought that I did not think about him, that I was okay not being with him tonight, and then I realize that in thinking that I had thought of him.

We went home at something past three. V. and I stayed out a bit more to walk G. home. I ended up in some mattress on the floor, and I woke up again at nine.

My friends always make fun of the fact I wake up early after parties, clean up a bit and leave at six or seven. This time I decided to stay, because usually I just happen to be in a rush: usually I have to go somewhere else, and I want to pass home to wash up and get ready for the day.

I had nothing to do on the first of the year, besides going at my grandma’s or at my father’s, so I stayed there and we ate panettone for breakfast.

2nd January 2023 —

The day after I went to Padova again, after lunch, to meet Y.

We had not seen each other in months, because when I went back home to vote we did not manage to hang out.

3rd January 2023 —

And then I went to Florence, Firenze, with my father and sister. We woke up early and he came to pick us up with his car to go catch a train. I read A Room of One’s Own in silence for some hours, sitting alone.

I think my father needs to stop trying like this. We certainly did a lot, but he really does not understand how to act. He does not get that being nice, being a father, does not mean simply spending money, or passively spending time with us. He does not try hard enough and he tries too hard at the same time: he just doesn’t try to do what we need him to do and he does what he thinks should fix things. He thinks this is all a punishments for him. He thinks the way my sister reacts to him is a court sentence to be served, and he thinks this sentence should have been shorter than it is.

Florence is absolutely stunning. Ivory and dark green and tall. Piazza Duomo left me breathless, completely enamored with the architecture that filled up the view completely. I went up the Campanile di Giotto, a poor lady in front of me slowed everyone down because she was panting and sweating, but the view on top was incredible. All the brown roofs, all the monuments, all the churches were visible. I took off my jacket, it was not cold at all. My father took a picture of me that made me want to die. It happens sometimes: someone shoots me with a lens and I feel like I’ve been shot at the heart. I should not be this dramatic, but some pictures make me want to rip off my skin and teeth and hair.

Inside, the basilica is quite empty, but we visited the foundations and I was mesmerized by how many times the building had been rebuilt. There were some mosaics of North African craftsmanship. Some things were just stones, but the thought they held up a whole church once made them special.

Lunch was disastrous. After that we went to Piazza della Signoria, where there are a copy of the David and other beautiful statues. Some were Roman copies of Greek originals. Things that old being so intact make me feel so insignificant, but also so peaceful. The bronze Perseus holding Medusa’s head stood tall above me as I looked at it, but my favorite might have been that of the Lion, with the inscription “Opus Flaminii vaccæ Romani” between its legs.

We also visited a temporary exhibit by Gucci, on which I have mixed feelings on. I think clothing is art. Fashion, couture, dresses can be just as impactful as a painting or a fresco. But this was not a clothes exhibit, like a YSL one I visited in Paris. It was some sort of immersive art that felt like a huge ad. It was clear that the point of it all was creating a space where people could take pictures, to then post them on social media and give exposure to the brand and the place.

Before going home, we stopped at Paszkowski, a fancy bar where I got a deconstructed martini that tasted too much like gin.

5th January 2023 —

I went ice skating in Venice with Ma.F. and her friends. I knew none of them, but they were nice.

I did really miss M., though. We were seven, so I was left alone sometimes and I skated on the ice smoothly, dodging children and wishing I could hold his hand.

We had an aperitivo afterwards, but I had to leave earlier, because my father arranged for my sister and I to meet his girlfriend, or mistress, or whatever she is that is shorter than “the woman he cheated on my mother with”.

She’s short, a fake blonde with impeccable make up on and an accent from the country side she tries to mask. I ordered a moscow mule and she said she should have gotten one too. I tried being nice. She tried too, I think, but every time I looked at her and at my father I only saw the rot in them. Even when she faked being interested in my sister and me, what we were doing, what we liked, she stumbled on her niceness a few times, betraying some prejudice on gender norms and other bigotry. I ordered an americano, and she left, and I wanted to leave too because I wanted to go home and call M. to watch a movie. My father insisted I stayed. I ordered a third drink, a cosmopolitan, and I told myself I needed to stop.

Afterwards, my father basically kidnapped me. My sister managed to escape, he let her go home, but I had to go to his apartment with the excuse that I needed to fix his phone.

I usually wear a uniform to school, and then i just stay home. But! now that it is summer and i am free, lots of jeans of many varieties, light wash, dark wash, wide leg, boot cut, you get the idea (but never low waisted, i’m too short for it and i always have to cuff them to oblivion, and i like the way high waisted feels on my waist for some reason). Mostly crop tops, but i am an amateur lover of sundresses. I also have all my sweatshirts hanging up in my closet by color. I like making my own clothes too, i made my prom dress, i make a lot of dresses for my mom. and i don’t know if this counts as my style, but i make a lot of “old timey” clothes. Like the amount of pirate shirts i have now is out of control, it’s crayyyyzeeee. Also circle skirts and corsets that i just wear around the house.

I feel really basic with the jeans, any plain cropped t-shirt, and my louis tomlinson tour sweatshirts (a black one and a neon orange one that makes me look like a traffic cone) but also platform converse or doc martins.

I like the arctic monkeys, the last shadow puppets, lana del rey, laufey, pirate shanties, Bowie, the sex pistols, Fiona Apple, Ethel Cain, and also italian operas even if i have no idea what they’re saying. One direction, Louis TomlinsonC and harry styles. Oh and Chloe Flower!

A convex mirror that records our tracks in one space, provokes me to approach it. Flashlights splattered from my phone as a sign I was already lured. Now I'm in that circle as a baddies candidate.

Again. Still with 'object' that records my tracks. This time it was the old television that was apparently able to ambush the criminals. There was a figure of myself there, provoked me to be caught as a ranks of baddies.

Four popular styles of human togetherness in NCT are present in one sheet of photo box paper. Brandishing into the air as a form of metaphysics of our friendship, and the warmth of us competing with the warmth of the sun that highlights the entire human population.

Can you guess who the five people on this photo card are? It still seems blurry, doesn't it? But don't worry, I will tell you later. I deliberately intrigued you and posted it on my instagram story page.

The enigma has been solved. It turns out that these five people have made you curious. Served in the same frame in a magnificent automotive space. Accompanied by a luxury and sporty-based car, namely Volkswagen.

A thick cloud looks like Camulus. Among the clouds, there was the sun that created a replica of me in the form of shadows. Shadow and I are racing over who should walk in front. Feeling unique, I finally photographed the shadows.

Dusk returned to pick up the night. An orange horizon at the end of the sky. The fading arrays. I stood staring at horizon in awe. Trying to compose history and works. You can see the trees that line there, the shoots keeping a neat story.

The currents of water that spread the oceans, the land that spreads the continents, the air spreads out the space. And the city lights also the darkness of the sky were able to soothe my heart. The Beautiful night view in the land of Uncle Sam, quiet and undisturbed.

Behind this selfie mirror. Actually, I just wanting to show my look. That handphone I just bought is clearly visible in the mirror. Funnily enough, they accused me that I was showing off a new cellphone and watch I was wearing.

#OOTD: Come up with five ten significant full outfits from your character’s wardrobe/life and describe them in detail.

Riley Anderson found fashion was a great way to express their fluid identity and, when they were packing for their dorm, they mused over how far they had come.

Palm tree button up, black tank top, black jeans, crescent moon necklace, & black jeans with a chain clipped to it. Not pictured are black Converse: When Riley started toying with masculine clothing a fun button up with an otherwise muted palette was encouraged to begin. Riley did learn they liked the look, that others did too, but it still felt strange whenever they got gussied up and headed out into the world with this new form of expression. This collection of items started to feel a bit small so Riley had cut the sleeves to turn it into a t-shirt so it could last longer.

Brown zip-up hoodie, plant t-shirt, brown belt, men’s jeans, & brown Converse: There was a brief stint where Riley had thrown away all of their feminine clothing and only kept what every teenage boy would wear. Meg deemed this the Dark Times and they try not to speak of it. This outfit did see the light of day quite a bit and Riley has retired the hoodie for everything but camping trips these days.

Purple checkered blazer, grey checkered trousers, no bra nor undershirt. Not pictured are grey kitten heeled shoes: This photo shoot was taken when Riley haphazardly chopped their hair off and announced to the world that they were nonbinary. No one was really shocked but the look was iconic, they’d scandalized the neighbors by not wearing a “real shirt” or bra, and they had never felt fucking hotter. They still share this photo as one of their best and it always boosts their mood.

Green Nike crewneck, grey track shorts, white running shoes, & reusable bag. Not pictured is the phrase “I’m not swearing! I’m using my Hockey Mom Words!” on the bag: Riley had initially bought the bag for Jill as a joke but then their mom unironically started bringing the bag literally fucking everywhere they went so then it kind of became Riley’s bag semi-ironically and God did it earn Riley some weird looks when they were out of town! Either way, Riley was seen wearing this ensemble quite a bit at the gym and on the bus to games and really just about anywhere. Sometimes you can still catch them in this at Olympus Gym. It’s iconic!

Yellow sunflower sweater and striped pants of pink, yellow, orange, and purple. Not pictured are the purple booties: Color had never been something Riley had shied away from (well, except in the Dark Times but we don’t talk about the Dark Times anymore) so when they had found not only this blindingly yellow top but also the over-the-top pants to go with it? Well, Riley had slapped their newly attained debit card down on the counter so fucking fast. It was the first overtly loud outfit they had purchased with the money they made at Minnetonka Diner and they weren’t about to hesitate! They wore that outfit once a week that summer to the point that Nathan had started calling Riley “Sunrayley” for about two weeks straight. Thankfully it hadn’t stuck!

Rainbow block button up shirt, black belt, and blue jeans. Not pictured are rainbow Converse: Now this is truly an Iconic Riley Look. Riley wore it very early on in their Swynlake career, it’s one of their favorite typical day outfit, and it is their Happy Day Look. Sometimes it’s a I Need A Happy Day Look too but usually not. Riley found that rainbow was really the best way to experience the world and this shirt really spoke to Riley when they saw it on the rack. Simple but fun, exactly how Riley liked it.

Drag King Fit: Pride at Pixie’s had really been something special for Riley. They’d made a bedazzle beard, sprayed their hair silver, and gotten a silver suit to go all out! Everyone had made that event seem like it was the one to be at no matter what! Like it was the biggest event of the year! There was no way Riley was missing that and the fact that Riley got to express themselves in a new way (they were pretty new to drag still) was so exhilarating! Riley hadn’t brought the outfit to the dorm but they definitely treasured it!

Brown pajama tank top and checkered brown pajama shorts: Riley has had a lot of adventures in this exact outfit. They met Nick in this outfit, Jess found out about their powers in this outfit, they wandered around the Boiling Isles in this outfit. This pair was one of the comfiest pairs of pajamas that Riley owned and they found that they had some of the best nights when they wore this. Their powers meant that they astral projected around in their jammies. Might as well make sure they’re both cute and comfy!

White button up, rainbow suspenders and tie, & black pants. Not pictured are black dress shoes: This little outfit was something Riley wore to the ice cream social at the local church back in Minnesota. Seems a little weird, doesn’t it? Well, Riley had recently come out, sure, but their friend Kennan had also recently come out and his grandparents at that church and it had... not gone well. So Riley had made sure to get fully dressed to the nines and go with Meg and Kennan and all of their friends in rainbows and other distinguished queer attire. It had been hilarious, even if they got kicked out without ice cream. They had decided to just hit up the diner anyway after. Kennan had ended the day with a smile on his face and that was all that had mattered.

Red leather jacket, black and white striped shirt, sunglasses, black pants, rainbow dot socks, and white kicks: Riley wore this outfit for the first official outing in the Boiling Isles. They really had no idea what to expect nor did they have an inkling for what they would get themselves into but they were so elated to have gone on that trip. Riley’s entire life would have been different if they hadn’t and they couldn’t have been more grateful for the experience. This outfit lives on!

Pink is one of the best colors. I like all the colors and I don’t know what would be the “best color”. Pink looks good on everyone, even guys. Twinkies do not taste that good! I haven’t had those. Books are way better than movies! I prefer to watch movies because I can’t concentrate that well when I’m reading. For me movies are easier to consume because of that reason.

Pineapple is the best pizza topping! Disagree, I don’t like sweet things on my pizza. Skunks don’t actually smell that bad. I haven’t experienced skunk smell. Not everyone looks good with blonde hair. Agree. Facial piercings don’t look good. It does on some people. Teal should be called “teal,” not “blue.” I mean yeah? It’s the name of the color.
