It’s been a while.

Hi guys. So I’ve completed 3 months of med school. I’ve finished my first course and so far I’m passing. It’s been unbelievable. My classmates are so kind and helpful and so so so incredibly smart. School itself kills me inside most days but some days I can latch onto something and it feels like I belong here. Those are the days that make the other ones worth it.

I’ve put aside my health somewhat, which really worked against me. Going forward I want to be better, to feel better. For the next three months (and hopefully for the remainder of med school/onwards) I’ll be making more of an effort to be physically active and to maintain my health better. I also want to do better in my classes, or at least manage/learn things better. But one step at a time, right?

Med school is hard. It’s incredibly stressful and I’m still learning how to adjust. But I haven’t reached a point where I wish I weren’t where I am, and while I don’t see myself reaching that point, I hope won’t at some time in the future.
