1 And it was at that time that Abraham again took a wife in his old age, and her name was Keturah, from the land of Canaan.
2 And she bare unto him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuach, being six sons. And the children of Zimran were Abihen, Molich and Narim.
3 And the sons of Jokshan were Sheba and Dedan, and the sons of Medan were Amida, Joab, Gochi, Elisha and Nothach; and the sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Chanoch, Abida and Eldaah.
4 And the sons of Ishbak were Makiro, Beyodua and Tator.
5 And the sons of Shuach were Bildad, Mamdad, Munan and Meban; all these are the families of the children of Keturah the Canaanitish woman which she bare unto Abraham the Hebrew.
6 And Abraham sent all these away, and he gave them gifts, and they went away from his son Isaac to dwell wherever they should find a place.
7 And all these went to the mountain at the east, and they built themselves six cities in which they dwelt unto this day.
8 But the children of Sheba and Dedan, children of Jokshan, with their children, did not dwell with their brethren in their cities, and they journeyed and encamped in the countries and wildernesses unto this day.
9 And the children of Midian, son of Abraham, went to the east of the land of Cush, and they there found a large valley in the eastern country, and they remained there and built a city, and they dwelt therein, that is the land of Midian unto this day.
10 And Midian dwelt in the city which he built, he and his five sons and all belonging to him.
11 And these are the names of the sons of Midian according to their names in their cities, Ephah, Epher, Chanoch, Abida and Eldaah.
12 And the sons of Ephah were Methach, Meshar, Avi and Tzanua, and the sons of Epher were Ephron, Zur, Alirun and Medin, and the sons of Chanoch were Reuel, Rekem, Azi, Alyoshub and Alad.
13 And the sons of Abida were Chur, Melud, Kerury, Molchi; and the sons of Eldaah were Miker, and Reba, and Malchiyah and Gabol; these are the names of the Midianites according to their families; and afterward the families of Midian spread throughout the land of Midian.
14 And these are the generations of Ishmael the son Abraham, whom Hagar, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham.
15 And Ishmael took a wife from the land of Egypt, and her name was Ribah, the same is Meribah.
16 And Ribah bare unto Ishmael Nebayoth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam and their sister Bosmath.
17 And Ishmael cast away his wife Ribah, and she went from him and returned to Egypt to the house of her father, and she dwelt there, for she had been very bad in the sight of Ishmael, and in the sight of his father Abraham.
18 And Ishmael afterward took a wife from the land of Canaan, and her name was Malchuth, and she bare unto him Nishma, Dumah, Masa, Chadad, Tema, Yetur, Naphish and Kedma.
19 These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, being twelve princes according to their nations; and the families of Ishmael afterward spread forth, and Ishmael took his children and all the property that he had gained, together with the souls of his household and all belonging to him, and they went to dwell where they should find a place.
20 And they went and dwelt near the wilderness of Paran, and their dwelling was from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt as thou comest toward Assyria.
21 And Ishmael and his sons dwelt in the land, and they had children born to them, and they were fruitful and increased abundantly.
22 And these are the names of the sons of Nebayoth the first born of Ishmael; Mend, Send, Mayon; and the sons of Kedar were Alyon, Kezem, Chamad and Eli.
23 And the sons of Adbeel were Chamad and Jabin; and the sons of Mibsam were Obadiah, Ebedmelech and Yeush; these are the families of the children of Ribah the wife of Ishmael.
24 And the sons of Mishma the son of Ishmael were Shamua, Zecaryon and Obed; and the sons of Dumah were Kezed, Eli, Machmad and Amed.
25 And the sons of Masa were Melon, Mula and Ebidadon; and the sons of Chadad were Azur, Minzar and Ebedmelech; and the sons of Tema were Seir, Sadon and Yakol.
26 And the sons of Yetur were Merith, Yaish, Alyo, and Pachoth; and the sons of Naphish were Ebed-Tamed, Abiyasaph and Mir; and the sons of Kedma were Calip, Tachti, and Omir; these were the children of Malchuth the wife of Ishmael according to their families.
27 All these are the families of Ishmael according to their generations, and they dwelt in those lands wherein they had built themselves cities unto this day.
28 And Rebecca the daughter of Bethuel, the wife of Abraham's son Isaac, was barren in those days, she had no offspring; and Isaac dwelt with his father in the land of Canaan; and the Lord was with Isaac; and Arpachshad the son of Shem the son of Noah died in those days, in the forty-eighth year of the life of Isaac, and all the days that Arpachshad lived were four hundred and thirty-eight years, and he died.

Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Happy Thorsday – Egil The Legendary Archer Well here we are another Thor’s Day and another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic) mythological characters.  This week it’s Egil / Aigil / Aegil / Aligaz. The legendary archer mentioned in the Völundarkviða and Thidreks sagas.
Hi name has been translated to ‘Awe’, or ‘Fear’, or ‘dread’ combined with ‘edge’ or ‘point’ or ‘sharpness’ of a weapon. Which unlike the farmer Giant Egil who shares his name, where the meaning had the context of being afraid of the sword. Egil here, much like Egill Skallagrimson, and Egil One-Arm, is meant to imply the use of a sharp edge, and that others should be afraid of his arrows.
Egil is the middle brother of a trio of Finn (Lapland) princes. Along with the older Slagfiðr / Slagfithr (The Beating), and the younger Völund / Wayland / Velent (The Master Magical Smith).
The brothers build and live in a house on the lands of Ulfdalir (Wolf Dale) by a house on sea shore called Ulfsjar (Wolf Sea)
All three of the brothers one early morning come across Swan Maiden Valkyries in their swan forms by the Ulfsjar shore, bathing and spinning flax, falling in love with them as they reveal themselves to be human. Each of the Brothers going on to marry one of them.
Egil marries the Swan Maiden Valkyrie and Princess Alirun / Ailrun / Alruna / Ailruna / Ölrún, whose father Kiár of Valland, is a mythological Roman Emperor.
At some point the cruel Germanic King Nidung / Niðhad captures Volund after several. Having Volund hamstrung, and locking him up in a smithy dungeon. He sets forces Volund to smith all kinds of beautiful and amazing things for him from goblets, to weapons and jewelry.
Eventually Egil hears of this and goes to find his younger brother. On arriving in the court of Nidung. The King on hearing that Egil is a master archer forces him on pain of torture to show his skills. The test is to shoot an apple off the head of one of his many Prince sons, without harming the Prince. And that if he misses or if any harm comes to the Prince Egil will die.
Egil surprises the King by readying two arrows in his hand, nocking the first and shooting it without any apparent effort into the apple above the Prices head. When the King asks what the second arrow was for, Egils says that if he had missed with the first arrow, the second would have been to kill the King with.
The King laughs and compliments Egil on his skill and his cunning. Welcoming him to his court. Likely to join him on his hunts and as a protector.
Egil finds Volund, who had so far managed to seduce the Princess, who was now with his child, and trick and kill two of the older Princes, and hide their bodies by magically smithing them into various items. But was no closer to escape.
The two begin a plan. Egil would go out hunting for animals, providing an ongoing feast for the King. But while out hunting Egil would collect all of the feathers from the birds he’s caught, and the bladder and blood from a boar.
Egil brought all this back to Volund so that he could add the feathers to a set of wings he’d created, while filling up the bladder with blood.
Once everything was completed Volund and Egil put their plan in motion. Egil let him out of the Smithy, and Volund now wearing the working wings on his back and the blood filled bladder around his waist begins to fly away.
Egil however alerts the King to the smiths departure. The King commanding Egil to shoot him down. Egil shoots an arrow and despite how har away the flying man now is, it flies true. Sending a rain of blood down, as the winged man appears to fall in the far distance into the trees.
The arrow of course hitting the bladder filled with blood and the fall being a performance the King believes there is no reason to suspect Volund survived. Volund using his wings to fly low and then away back home.
Egil eventually takes his leave of the king, Whether to find the body or just to go on his way. But never returns.
Another time Egil and his wife Ailrun were beset by an large number attackers, fighting a battle at the river Ilz and while defending a keep together. The two of them successful in their defence. With Egil sending a seemingly impossible barrage of arrows at the attackers Ailrun cutting down anyone that got close.
 Defending a keep #relationshipgoals.
Eventually after nine years, the Valkyries feel the pull of their fate and leave for the Myrkwood. Egil and  Slagfith leaving to find them, with Volund staying behind making arm rings and jeweled chains for his wife’s return.
Some have suggested to a link with the archer God Ullr, either as a direct substitution. Given that their stories, personalities and the like to not over lap apart from their archery connection. I like to think it’s more of worshiper/god relationship, possibly with Ullr as a patron.
Not much else is known about Egil the Finn Prince, Master Archer, and husband of a Swan Valkyrie.
That’s it for Egils. I’ve run out. So next week I’ll do Ailrun as I think I missed her when going through the A’s.

Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Happy Thorsday – Ailrun, Swan Maiden Valkyrie Princess - V2 Well here we are another Thor’s Day and another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic) mythological characters.  This week it’s another version of character I missed when I was doing the A’s Alirun / Ailrun / Alruna / Ailruna / Ölrún. The Swan Maiden Valkyrie Princess mentioned in the Völundarkviða and Thidreks sagas.
Her name means some variation of house of secret knowledge. Or where the secrets reside.
She is the daughter of a mythical Roman emperor Kiár of Valland, and the foster sister to two other princesses Hlathguthr Svanhvít (The Swan White) and Hervör Alvitr  / Swanhilde  (The All Wise, Strange Creature). Each Swan maidens and possible Valkyries themselves.
Each are described as helmed as Helmed as Valkyries, fair, young, stately, and foreign to the northern lands being from the south. Each capable of transforming into a swan, and are fierce warriors.
They flew into the north after their father disappears. And on meeting three Princes each falls in love and marries one of them. Spending 9 years together before the Swan Maidens are compelled to leave to follow fate. Ailrun’s Husband Being  Egil / Aigil / Aegil / Aligaz the Archer (Fear his Arrows blades)
I’ll draw the sisters when I get to the H’s, but I’ll try my hand at another more roman version of Ailrun for next week maybe.

ok, fucken uhhhh... lobotomy corp faves since i’m in a lobcorp mood right now
Under a readmore since it’s gonna be big. I also don’t understand EVERY character as well as I should, even despite some thorough reading of the wiki due to my stupid ass having trouble deciphering most of the stuff there.
FAVORITE SEPHIRAHS:
Chesed! - the big favorite! He looks so sleepy and cool. He’s also the one who’s the most like me! I’d probably be in a department like the Welfare Department… and I have Autistic Headcanons for Chesed because I’m autistic and REALITY CAN BE WHATEVER I WANT IT TO BE. I also used to be a happier person, but let’s not get into that right this moment.
Netzach! - Another relatable one. I too hate life and drink too much, although my “poison of choice” is Dr. Pepper rather than alcohol. Also, he looks cool and is the first Sephirah that I bothered to memorize the name and face of. (for the rest I just memorized their faces and names separately.
Gebura! - Honestly? This one is just an appearance thing. She looks badass.
Favorite ZAYIN Abnormalities:
Fairy Festival! - They’re cute! Also they’ll bite your head off.
Opened Can of Welcheers - This abnormality manages to be both hilarious and terrifying at the same time. Yet another reason to not try grape soda…
Army in Pink / Army in Black! - Not sure what their deal is, but I like the concept!  What causes them to go crazy? Maybe it’s being taken advantage of, but it wasn’t spelled out well enough for me.
FAVORITE TETH ABNORMALITIES:
Punishing/Little Bird! - Part of the Apocalypse Bird trio, and my second favorite of the bunch! It’s so adorable, and yet it’ll also bite your head off!
Fragment of the Universe! - Kinda underrated! It just wants to share what it knows, but nobody is prepared. It wants to be friendly!
Grave of Cherry Blossoms! - I’ve always been a sucker for the trope of a mysterious plant that lures you to your doom. I think this abnormality does it in a cooler way than Parasyte Tree, though.
Beauty and the Beast! - This one’s mostly here for the concept. It’s neat!
FAVORITE HE ABNORMALITIES:
Laetita/A Shy Kid! - I’d be her friend! If I worked for the lobotomy corporation, I’d make myself get assigned to Laetita and nobody else, because she seems like the easiest to take care of as long as I don’t go anywhere else.
The Child of Galaxy! - My personal favorite Abnormality of the entire bunch! I love galaxy motifs, and he reminds me of an old OC I made. Also… Knight of Despair found family AU…?
Funeral of the Dead Butterflies! - A very neat concept! I also like butterflies. I sadly don’t understand why they’re shipped with the fire-headed guy with the german name whose name i forgot, but I’d like to understand it more. (A secret hobby of mine is gathering “why”s. Why do you like this? Why do you ship this? Why do you think that? I don’t know why I gather whys but it’s something I do. …Oops, that got off-topic…)
Porccubus! - It’s cute! It’ll make your head explode. Good day.
FAVORITE WAW ABNORMALITIES:
King of Greed! - Least popular among the magical girls, she’s yet another “cool concept” vote.
Bird of Judgement! - A member of the Apocalypse Bird trio, and my least favorite of the bunch (not that it’s a bad thing at all!). I don’t have a lot else to say about it otherwise.
Alirune! - Weird-lookin’ horse that pukes cotton candy!
Big Bird! - The leader of the Apocalypse Bird trio, and my definite favorite of the bunch! Cute, creepy, and covered in eyes? That’s my aesthetic!
Snow White’s Apple! - Another neat concept! There are lots of small details in fairy tales that you just kinda forget.
The Dreaming Current! - Yet another one I like based on concept! Surrounded in mystery. Is it the child, something made by the child, or something else entirely?
Dream of a Black Swan! - Concept~! The brothers kinda creep me out. I’m also really interested in the cause of the weird fog that made the sister into what she is…
Knight of Despair! - My favorite of the magical girls! I feel her pain…
Parasyte Tree! - See “Grave of Cherry Blossoms.”
FAVORITE ALEPH ABNORMALITIES:
Apocalypse Bird! - Never really got a good look at it, but it’s a R E A L L Y neat concept.
Silent Orchestra! - Wrapped in mystery. Who is it? What is it? How was it made?
NOTHING THERE! - The fandom puppy. Scary and also somewhat adorable in its first form. Why have we latched onto it? Nobody knows!
Mountain of Smiling Bodies…? - I don’t know a lot about it, but it sounds cool.
CENSORED…! - Another one in it for just concept. The perception filter is already a neat concept, but taking advantage of that medium and making an abnormality that’s literally just censored? HILARIOUS. … And also REALLY terrifying. Why does this thing need to be censored, exactly?!

Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Happy Thorsday – Ailrun, Swan Maiden Valkyrie Princess Well here we are another Thor’s Day and another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic) mythological characters.  This week it’s a character I missed when I was doing the A’s Alirun / Ailrun / Alruna / Ailruna / Ölrún. The Swan Maiden Valkyrie Princess mentioned in the Völundarkviða and Thidreks sagas.
Her name has been translated to break down from the Proto Germanic to mean ‘house’, ‘shelter’, ‘home’, ‘building’, and ‘sanctuary’ from the first half Ail or Ahl, and secrets of knowledge, lore, and magic, or runes from run or rūnō. Making her name mean something along the lines of ‘House of Secrets’, or ‘Where secret knowledge resides‘, or Keeper of magical knowledge’.
Ailrun is the daughter of Kiár of Valland, is a mythological Roman Emperor.
She was a part of a Valkyrie swan maidens trio along with the daughters of King Hlödvér, Hlaðguðr / Hlathguthr Svanhvít (The Swan White) and Hervör Alvitr  / Swanhilde  (The All Wise, Strange Creature). Each capable of becoming swans when wearing swan capes or robes. They gain these from being part Fairy or Elf on their fathers side. As the King Hlödvér in their tales is likely not meant to be the King from of the Mirmans saga but a separate Fairy or Elf king who marries a human princess. How Ailrun comes to be with them and with her own robe of swan transformation is never discussed. She is discussed as a sister, likely in the foster sister sense.
Each are described as helmed as Valkyries, fair, young, stately, and foreign to the northern lands being from the south.
After the king disappears from the queen asking the one question she should not ask, the sisters and Ailrun depart their realm. Flying off in their swan form through the Myrkwood.
One day, early in the morning, in a snowy northern Finn land (Lapland) Ulfdalir (Wolf Dale) by a house on sea shore called Ulfsjar (Wolf Sea) the three women land and decide to bathe. Bathing as swans and / or as humans. They are seen by the three prince brothers either bathing or while spinning flax by the shore. Their swan cloaks / robes laying beside them. The brothers are the ones who built in and live in the house by their bathing spot. In some versions Hervor / Swanhilde is wounded by a spear while flying as a Swan and falls to earth. She is rescued by one of the brothers, a magical smith and craftsman the Finn Prince Weiland / Volund. Who along with his older brothers Slagfiðr / Slagfithr (The Beating) and Egil / Aigil / Aegil / Aligaz (Fear his Arrows blades) all fall in love with their newly seen soul mates, at first sight, and decide to marry. Volund with Hervör Alvitr  / Swanhilde, Hlaðguðr Svanhvít with Slagfiðr and Ailrun with Egil.
After nine winters together in the house on the sea, the women are compelled to leave their husbands to return to the murky wood so they can fulfil their fate through some conflict or battle. And While Egil and Slagfithr go to find them, Volundr stay behind making arm rings / baugar and jewelled rings and chains for his wife. Volund would be captured by an evil King and escapes with Egil’s help.
Another time Ailrun and her husband Egil were beset by a large number attackers, fighting a battle at the river Ilz and while defending a keep together. The two of them successful in their defense. With Egil sending a seemingly impossible barrage of arrows at the attackers Ailrun cutting down anyone that got close and likely using her knowledge of magic to aid them. Though whether this is before their separation, or after they have reunited is not clear. Though the romantic in me likes to think that it’s after they have found each other again.
There’s some discussion around if the Swan maidens can be translated to also be Valkyries, or simply just wearing warriors helms, or even if Valkyries’ or warriors’ helm is the correct way to translate that part of their description. Either way it doesn’t much change their actions, abilities or motivations all that much n their tales. They’re still a force to be reckoned with.
I’ll draw the sisters when I get to the H’s, but I’ll try my hand at another version of Ailrun for next week maybe.
