hwevent 15 !! plotting call! (not gonna double as the starter call but we can decide who will write what and i'll add it here

i'll send out the messages this weekend depending on how busy i end up getting i could send them sooner. i will be ending pre-event threads to make room if we end up plotting something for the event when it starts.

shout out to mario for the idea but these are separated into four categories ranging depending on their level of involvement in these events. all are opened to injury plots of any extent will just need to be plotted out for each individually.

Red. That was all he could see.

Not red for Arsenal, but red for Liverpool.

His head was spinning. Red was everywhere. One, two, three, four, five. Five goals and the color red had never been so loud. The stadium was too noisy, too bright. Flashing lights and bright red.

This is Anfield.

Time. Everything around him, too fast. Everything inside him, too slow. The players, only dashing streaks of red. Too fast. Where was his team? They were nowhere. He was nowhere. Lost in a sea of red. He felt frozen. Too slow. He tried to move his feet, just like he always did. Too slow.

The ball was there. His feet dragged. A kick, or so he thought. And the ball was gone again. Off to a yellow, hopefully, but likely a red. It was invading his senses. Closing in on him. He couldn't run. Too slow.

Stop the game, he wanted to beg. To who? To the referee. Where was the referee? To the sea of red and their song. He was drowning in a place where nobody could hear. The crowd continued to roar. One, two, three, four, five goals.

A whistle, a pause. A break. He shut his eyes. Sank to the ground. Arsène Wenger. Wojciech Szczesny. Bacary Sagna, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal. Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mesut Özil, Santi Cazorla. Olivier Giroud.

He opened his eyes. At first, red. But also green. The grass beneath him was green. Yellow, blue. His team.

His body. It was back? He got to his feet. Not quite back. Still too slow. He was drained. The game wasn't over.

Play resumed, and the sea of red crashed on.

Suggested FCs: It’ll be difficult to have a full match to Sean Teale’s ethnicity. I wouldn’t necessarily want a plot about whether his sister is his full or half sibling, so maybe one of his parents got remarried and they had her or she was adopted. That can be hashed out depending on the FC chosen. :)

Venezuelan or half white/half Latine options are Daniela Nieves, Amanda Arcuri, Alexxis Lemire.

Your Idea of the Character:

I’m super open to any ideas for Andrea. The most important thing is that Andrea fell ill when she was 13 and was unable to get treatment as her family struggled with paying for healthcare. Her brother joined the military in hopes of getting health benefits but was discharged. Her illness was difficult to treat in general and her brother made a deal with someone at Vanguard Pharmaceuticals who offered an experimental treatment to cure her. She went into remission, but I imagine she lost a lot of her teenage years.

Andrea is now 24 and I’m open to why she’s here in Northpass whether she’s passing through, attending school, starting a new job, or simply moving to reunite with her brother as he’s somewhat lost contact with her (they used to be pretty close).

Potential Plans & Headcanons:

Since Andrea probably lost a lot of her teenage years, I imagine she’s pretty rebellious and/or adventurous. She doesn’t want to live a sheltered life and wants to get out there to live life to the fullest. Their parents are probably overprotective, and David will be protective too.

Potentially, maybe her illness comes back or she’s very worried her illness will come back. If her illness were to come back, she’d have to make big decisions.

David doesn’t really tell anyone what he does for Vanguard Pharmaceuticals and beyond Andrea knowing he works there, she doesn’t know what he does. She could be all for them since they helped treat her, but maybe her views change once she gets to town and learns about what’s happened.

She could have been sent to investigate Vanguard and maybe she tries to reunite with her brother to find out what he’s been doing with the company so she can report on them.

Me estaba poniendo Papá Alex (gracias, tío) este curiosísimo, y brillante, al menos en algunas partes, segundo LP de la New York Rock & Roll Ensemble cuando le ha llegado el turno a una buena versión de “Wait Until Tomorrow“, el Jimi Hendrix más soul - no hacía sólo solos distorsionados de media hora, no sigan insistiendo en lo que no es-, y tras eso ha empezado un “Sing Lady Sing” muy familiar, demasiado, el riff de guitarra, todo.

Eso lo conocíamos de sobra. Alex lo situó rápido: “Them Changes” de Buddy Miles (batería de Hendrix en Band Of Gypsys, así que todo queda en casa). Pero el tema de Miles va firmado por él, y el de la Rock & Roll Ensemble aparece acreditado a Brian Corrigan, Clifton Nivison y Michael Kamen. ¿Quién copió a quién? Miles a la Ensemble, porque el disco de ellos es de julio de 1969 y el de Miles casi un año posterior, junio de 1970.

Clifton Nivison lo explica con claridad: "Buddy Miles tomó casi todas las líneas de guitarra que Michael y yo escribimos y las usó en 'Them Changes'. Es la misma canción con una voz diferente".

Sobre la versión del “estratosférico asilvestrado”, Nivison comenta: "Michael y yo éramos grandes admiradores de Hendrix. Nos escuchó tocar su canción en el club neoyorquino The Scene en 1969. Nos dijo que realmente le gustaba".
