Lesbian moodboard: The Fairytale
Draw closer and belong deeply with me. I quaver an exhale, the far reaching arms of its torrents ever in pursuit. Breathe me in and I will gather you. You, the missing monarch of my heart, the obscured sculpture from my mind’s pedestal, the anchoring touch to my tremulous hand.

“Then came the most exquisite moment of her whole life passing a stone urn with flowers in it. Sally stopped; picked a flower; kissed her on the lips. The whole world might have turned upside down! The others disappeared; there she was alone with Sally. And she felt that she had been given a present, wrapped up, and told just to keep it, not to look at it — a diamond, something infinitely precious, wrapped up, which, as they walked (up and down, up and down), she uncovered, or the radiance burnt through, the revelation, the religious feeling!”

To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful. This is power, it is glory on earth and it is yours for the taking.

After The Rain…
This has been making the rounds recently on IG. I love this so much, and will never get sick of it. Here's the full version with Alessandra Ferri & Craig Hall.
And I LOVE that Ms. Ferri will soon be the new AD of the Vienna State Ballet. Seeing more women at the helm of world class ballet companies is a trend I can get behind — and way overdue.

saw they’re bringing in alessandra ferri for woolf works… curious to hear your thoughts on her. think it’ll be worth seeing?
I'm disappointed they're doing it and won't be seeing her. They have so much talent currently who have never had a chance to dance the role, why give 1/3 of the performances to someone who isn't even a member of the company? I'd maybe get it if it were a super long run but it's not. It seems like pretty unnecessary stunt casting.

Alessandra Ferri.
Fabulous dancer, I last saw her in Royal Ballet's Woolf Works (which even on a screen is a powerful work, watch it you'll love it wayne macgregor really fucks with the gender roles too).
But I love her most because she keeps on dancing, and being of an age I really get it. Growing up I knew I was never going to be top tier, I started too old and was going to be too tall ( my mother was turned down by RB because she was going to be too tall, and I turned out near 3 inches taller than her). But I danced anyway, contemporary, small companies, and the love of movement never leaves...
