I really like Henry from like 2007-2023 cus he's just in a depressive spiral for like most of that. He's building robots for his master plan or whatever but he' still crashing on his sister's couch. I’m not an addict, but I have a genetic predisposition to addiction. 

Alcohol is not my first choice of unhealthy coping mechanism, but I’ve used it as such in the past.

I know I have to be careful, and honest, about how and when I consume addictive substances. 

I know why my father stayed up waiting for me to come home safe. I know why there is no alcohol in his house. I know why he’s afraid.

I wasn’t afraid last night. 

I think it was because wasn’t trying to numb my suffering or delay painful choices. I just wanted to go out and have a good time.

 I wasn’t running away from anything. I was running towards the person alcohol strips me down to: someone who’s fun, and friendly, and fearless.

 I wish I could be that better version of myself without alcohol.
