Is it weird to want as much as I desperately want Damian and Bruce to have a good father-son bond,I also want Bruce to have consequences for being a pretty shit dad since Damian has been in his custody?? Alfred has been a better father figure than him and HE RAISED Bruce. I need Talia on his ass like yesterday!!! To be straight up and tell him shit for being a bad dad while he could've been comfortable and loved back with her!! I need Damian's friends to sneer at a legendary hero bc as much at they respect his work they respect Damian more!!!

Also the fact he treats his brown son SO much different than his white ones is fucking crazy bc he's not racist but the writers make it so IT DOES LOOK SO FUCKIN RACIST. Like he treats Tim and even Jason so much better than Damian at times,and Jason and his relationship is LIKE THAT. Dick is ehh with bruce but definitely better than Damian atp. Talia please get yr son away from him 😭😭

I’m bias in a way where I feel like Damian’s relationship with Bruce is very important, it’s just we have been dealt a hand with shitty writers which is sad because writers have done so much to have it be established that Bruce would literally go to hell for his son but like so many writers are so much more interested in showing how Batman and Robin are a power fantasy like they’ve been for years and make Bruce out to be this awful, neglectful parent. I kind of ignore that the same way I do Talia’s morrison stories but I still take in account that I’ll have to assess it.

I understand its OOC but like how I understand Jason almost killing Damian is OOC and still consider it happened, I also do that for bad dad Bruce. Like those events were too important to Damian’s character to be ignored unfortunately.

I will always prioritize Damian’s relationship with Bruce and Talia over the batboys, including Dick. Dick’s a last resort if those two are not an option. Unfortunately Dick’s relationship with Damian didn’t have a lasting effect on his character like it did Bruce, Talia or even Jon. He’s really just kind of some guy if you really think about it. So, Bruce and Talia and the depiction of the Al Ghuls is my main concern.

A LITTLE DEATH !

──── Damian Al Ghul x Reader. 571 words.

Living after dying was too expensive a price that everyone avoided, because anyone would not be able to continue or repent when the effects of madness came. Everyone who has ever been revived in that well may never be the same again, Damian knew this very well, he has seen it with his own eyes.

The Lazarus Pit was too dangerous. They could use it on soldiers to keep the League of Shadows standing, not use it on loved ones. Using the grave of someone you love is like a death note delivered in front of the devil, on shaking knees. But the loneliness, the guilt, accumulated on him.

He let your inert body sink into the waters, freeing your death to the forces that his grandfather abused. It was a nightmare to see you like this, reminding him that he couldn't save you.

How did he fail like this? He is the heir of the Al Ghul, the blood of the deaths of his origins wells up in his veins. How did your death pass over him?

He can't allow it. No. He forbids you, in life and soul, to agonize in his presence, to abandon him and release him. You have to be with him, he won't let you even fall into the arms of death.

His eyes move over you, as he is always very curious about you. He is fascinated by your body, your curves, and the way the water covers your contours so softly on your fatal wounds. The gaze lingers on your soft, kissable lips, and he longs for the taste of your return. He wants to taste the sweetness of your lips with his. He longs for you, because he needs you. Damian will have wealth, soldiers, weapons, blood. But not having you is like a curse.

Soft, slow breathing is heard. The little chest goes up and down, in and out, in and out. But he doesn't move, not even a muscle, while he's listening to your every heartbeat from the edge of the Lazarus Pit.

Your body begins to react to the effects of the immortal waters, and he looked at you serenely. His hands clenched into knuckles, wishing for your own soul to be saved. Your fingers begin to move, and your body reacts, wanting to escape the waters as soon as you opened the eyes that Damian had loved so much from beneath the waters.

He gently lifts you into his arms and lifts you out of the water, feeling the living heat radiating from your body. He looks at you, intently, attentive to everything about you as he wraps his arms around your body tightly, not wanting you to escape from him.

“Beloved,” Damian whispers, his voice a hoarse but reassuring whisper. He feels your heartbeat. Oh, God. Your heart is beating, your lungs are breathing, your blood is reviving. He smiles slightly, noticing that you have calmed down from the waters and understand every part of what happened.

“I won't let you go… Again,” Damian whispers, almost to himself, holding you tighter, burying himself in your shoulder.

He can sense that you are agitated, your mind processing your return to life, wanting to ask. But the simple, cold gaze of those emerald orbs warn you to remain silent, like before you lost your life.

“I forbid you to leave me again.” He hissed, his breath now hitting your ear, sending shivers down your spine. He can't lose his favorite toy.

The Demon Children

Dp x DC AU where both Jazz and Danny are Al Ghuls. Born Jasmina and Danyal, their primary caretaker is the Fenton couple. They grow close with them, and when Jasminas training starts when she’s seven her surrogate parents can’t stand to see her go through such brutality. So, five hours after her first lesson, they take her and three year old Danyal far, far away from the Leauge to a town that doesn’t let anybody in or out.

Talia is pissed when she finds out. All those years, wasted. Not only had Bruce declined her offer to join the LOA, but her two best bargaining tools had been stolen. In a fit of rage she orders the geneticist that had created Jasmina and Danyal to use their DNA as well as her and Bruce’s to Frankenstein create a new child. She decides to go from absent to the point of nonexistent to helicopter parent with her new tool, Damien.

Meanwhile Jasmina now Jasmine and Danyal now Daniel grow up with their eccentric but loving parents as normal as two children of mad ghost scientists can be. They learn how to fight with non-Leauge moves, they grow their own interests and grow as people, and when Phantom is revealed to be Danny his parents welcome him with open arms. He’s been their son this long. Why give him up now? Their complete lack of surprise is suspicious to Jazz, but she lets it go. She has more important things to think about, like collage.

Meanwhile a few years after Damien goes to live with Bruce they find out somehow that not only does Damien have two older blood siblings, meaning that with his adopted siblings and his age he’s mega last in line for the mantle, but he was created using freak-amalgamation genetic manipulation to replace not one but two people all for the purpose of being a weapon.

We’ve gotten a lot of Danny as Talia’s son prompts and AUs, but hear me out: Danny as Dusan’s son.

For those who don’t know, Dusan is Ras al Ghul’s son, practically his second in command, who would have been his heir if not for being albino, which caused Ras to consistently reject him. So how is he his second in command?

Well after giving up on getting his father’s respect, he left and secretly returned as the White Ghost, working his way up the ranks.

Now I don’t know about you, but that gives a lot of opportunities for how Danny could be his. Maybe he met Maddie during his travels and got curious about other fighting styles, maybe it was a one night stand while Maddie and Jack were taking a break, maybe they had an open relationship. Heck, maybe he’s not even biologically Dusan’s but got adopted after he saw (to him at least) a child getting repeatedly shot at and rejected by his parents for being born the way he was, at least from what he observes. Maybe he just trains this white-haired death-touched child and later encounters each other again after a reveal gone wrong. Honestly there’s so many options.
