Okay I’m gathering all my brain power for these and repurposing my own aus in my head 😼

Anyways imagine Dutch princess reader x lando. Hear me out okay so imagine every year when they hand out the trophies in the Netherlands reader hands it out and she’s friends with max because of him being their pride and joy of the country. Blind item comes in to duexmoi (want the person to be anon but their tag is like orange land or something that plays off orange and the fact that lando has the joke that natherlands is like a second home race)(idk how to spell it I’m not a gossip follower) about a certain Dutch princess with a f1 driver and everyone immediately assumes max and reader. Lando could hard launch them being like wrong orange boy or they could just be spotted on winter break having a vacation together. As It Was (1/6)

Chapter 1: The Doctor

Pairing: Dr. Ethan Ramsey x F!MC (Dr. Lilac Allende) Word count: 1.4K Warning: None Series: As It Was (aka Lilac’s Exes)

Series Premise: All the times Ethan meets her exes throughout the years. Chapter Premise: After their win against Declan Nash in Miami, they run into someone from her past.

Context: Lilac dated Noah Burke in Med school but broke up since they mutually decided they were better as friends. His FC is Sebastian Stan. (Exes | Exes Timeline)

Year 1: Miami

The delicate gradient from orange to glittering violet of the Miami dusk was almost the most beautiful thing Ethan had ever seen. Its triumphant rival stood before him, cheeks flushed with color from the night’s excitement, eyes the loveliest shade of emerald. The thrill of their victory against Nash, however small, hummed between them, like the aftershock of iron bells.

“We need a celebratory drink,” she informed him, her hand falling atop his forearm. It was a small gesture, but his heart leapt to his throat, obnoxious and beyond his control.

“Fine,” he agreed, her soft fingers burning through the fabric of his tuxedo jacket. “But no champagne.”

Lilac made a show of pouting and his eyes caught on those delectable, rosy lips.

“Fine. No scotch,” she countered.

Ethan almost smiled as he detached himself from her side. The skin of his forearm pickled with every step that separated them, already missing Lilac's touch, a fact that should have concerned him. The bar by the glittering pool was unsurprisingly crowded with masses of overworked health-care professionals intent on taking advantage of the open bar.

As he waited impatiently for his turn to order, his eyes searched the elegant crowd for her. He found her at once, standing by the poker tables and glancing curiously at the ongoing games. Nothing in her demeanor indicated that she was aware of the interested glances she easily earned from many of the attendees. In that sinful, midnight blue dress—glittering with the same allure of the sky—she was unlike anything Ethan had ever beheld.

As if aware of his eyes on her, Lilac glanced at him, giving him a playful smile.

“No scotch,” she mouthed in a way he found entirely too attractive.

Attractive?

He had to get a grip.

In the end, the wait at the bar proved to be insufferable. Without much ceremony, he swiped a bottle of acceptable red wine from nearby, justifying this choice by the fact that all drinks are free anyway.

With a self-satisfied grin, he made his way back, already imagining Lilac's taunts about his petty theft. But when arrived at the poker tables, he discovered Lilac was no longer alone. A dark-haired man clad in a tailored, gray suit leaned casually against a nearby wall. His jovial, blue eyes were solely on Lilac, his mouth curved into a half smirk that bordered on flirtatious.

“...Heard you placed at Edenbrook.”

“I did! I was lucky.”

The familiarity in their tones left no doubt that they knew each other.

“Nah, you were the best in that cohort. Everyone knows it. You earned that.”

A genuine blush lit up her beautiful face. Inexplicably, something unpleasant twisted in Ethan's stomach as he watched. He realized, belatedly, it was envy at the ease with which this man offered Lilac praise.

“So what's it like to work with Ethan Ramsey? I remember you used to worship that guy.”

“Shut up,” she laughed, shoving his arm.

“It's true! You almost killed me when I nearly spilled coffee over your second copy of his book!”

“It was my only copy, you jerk.”

“Ah, yes. I remember the annotations and post-its as if it were yesterday.”

“They're still there.”

“I don't doubt it. It was cute.”

Another rosy blush from Lilac and another unpleasant clench of Ethan's stomach. Cute was an absurd way to describe someone like Lilac Allende. It was almost insulting.

“Did you get that thing signed now that you work with him?”

Lilac scrunched her nose. “Kind of?”

This gave Ethan pause. He distinctly remembered signing that book for her on her first day. It was easy for Ethan to recall this since it was the first and only autograph he ever gave.

Lilac's strange response didn't seem to faze her companion. Instead, he grinned down at her with exuberant charm. Ethan almost rolled his eyes.

“I heard a rumor he's here.”

“What? You're hoping he notices you, Burke?”

“You think he will?” the other returned sarcastically. With a flourish, he gestured at his suit. “I wore my Sunday best hoping he would.”

Lilac laughed again. “You haven't changed a bit.”

A devilish smirk appeared on his face, paired with a nonchalant shrug.

“So how did you score an invite to this thing?”

“I actually—”

“She's here with me,” Ethan supplied, effectively making his presence known. “Doctor Allende is the top intern at our hospital and earned an invite.”

Burke's eyes widened comically and he straightened at once. For a wild moment, Ethan wondered if the young doctor would salute him. To everyone's relief, he didn't.

Lilac, for her part, blushed bright red. A small wave of satisfaction rolled in Ethan's stomach. Perhaps he was decent at praising her, too.

“Doctor Ramsey, this is Doctor Noah Burke,” Lilac said. “Noah, this is Doctor Ethan Ramsey.”

The young doctor's grip was firm as they shook hands, despite looking like a fish out of water. It took Burke a few more beats to fully recover, blinking away his surprise. He managed a smile for Ethan, though nowhere near as charming as the one he had cast on Lilac only minutes ago.

“Lilac and I were at med school together,” Burke explained. “She introduced me to your work.”

Lilac sent him a warning look.

“Is that so? Did Doctor Allende know my work extensively back then? Or did she only say that on her first day to kiss up to me?”

Her eyes widened as big as saucers and Ethan resisted the urge to laugh. Mouth slightly agape, as though she couldn't believe her ears, she glanced between the two men. Burke's responding guffaw of laughter should have clued her in on what she was about to endure.

“Believe me, she knew your work like the palm of her hand. She talked about your research like it was gospel,” Burke proclaimed, ignoring Lilac's skewering glare. “I'm talking post-it notes on almost every page of your book and printed stacks of your journal articles. One night, she canceled our date because she was wrapped up in finding an obscure paper you wrote.”

Ethan ignored the way his stomach clenched at the word “date”. Instead, he zeroed in on Lilac's forced smile, looking far too adorable for someone that was silently praying for the ground to devour her. Face almost scarlet now, she avoided his gaze.

“Lilac here is tenacious and when she sets her mind to something, she never gives up. So she found it. It took her weeks but she found it.”

“My undergrad thesis,” Ethan commented, looking at Lilac. She still would not look at him.

“That's the one,” Burke confirmed with a chuckle. “I'm happy she made her dream of working with you come true.”

Burke looked as though he wanted to add more, but a group of young doctors nearby called his name, urging him to join them on the dancefloor. They were a cheery group, bright faced and no doubt intoxicated. Burke waved at them and then turned to Ethan and Lilac with a sheepish smile.

“Duty calls,” he said. “Do you want to join us?”

Ethan opened his mouth, already summoning a polite way to refuse. Lilac, however, beat him to the punch.

“That sounds like fun but we have to head back,” she said. “We have plans.”

The last addition sounded intimate, or perhaps it was Ethan's idiotic, besotted brain. Burke did not appear to find anything strange with that because he nodded and started saying his goodbyes. The young doctor shook Ethan's hand, embraced Lilac, and made his way to his friends.

Once alone, they began walking back into the hotel, a tense silence between them. He noticed the endearing blush still glowed on her face. Ethan chuckled.

“Gospel, huh?”

“Quiet,” she admonished.

More silence.

“You dated that guy?” Ethan asked minutes later when the doors to the elevator opened.

“Yes,” she replied. “Why?”

“I didn't know party frat boy was your type.”

“It's not usually but I like a guy who can make me laugh,” she explained. Then, meeting his eyes in the mirror on the wall, she added, “Plus, I'm a sucker for pretty eyes.”

Ethan's breath hitched quietly.

“Now stop judging me with those eyes of yours or I'll report you for stealing.”

“No one will ever believe you,” he returned without missing a beat.

“You're right. Everyone knows you're too boring and old to swipe a bottle of wine.”

“It's the perfect crime.”

To accentuate that, he effortlessly twirled the bottle in his hand, catching it with ease. Lilac watched with an impressed arched brow. Unable to contain it any longer, she laughed.

okay so i was tagging my beloved bella aka @probayern to do the new season of bundesliga predictions so, here we go....

bundesliga prediction time: answer the following questions about this bundesliga season

1. Top 5 Bundesliga Teams at the end of the season?

2. How far will Bayern get in the DFB Pokal?

3. How far will Bayern get in the Champions League?

4. Who will be Bayerns top goal scorer?

5. Biggest surprise? (could be anything)

6. Biggest disappointment? (could be anything)

1. i don't want to sound so confident about the number 1 but i just want bayern to be on the top, no doubt despite all those problems that we might possibly facing for this entire season. second might be leipzig i afraid. not only because of my hatred against any sports team from that fraudass energy can company, tbh they're kinda have a strong squad to challenge bayern for the league title. third might be dortmund i mean yeah they're truly good but you know, dortmund being dortmund 🫢🫢. fourth will be freiburg idk why i just randomly pick them but i can see how they can have that potential to be in the title fight with other top teams as well. frankfurt will be number 5 not because of me being a fan of silly eagle team but considering that they have really good new signings during this transfer window, maybe we can have a truly decent performance for this season if they not being silly as always 🙃🙃.

2. considering that last year we were able to manage to reach quarter finals, maybe we can see them able to reach at least to the semi finals only of we not being drawn with teams like freiburg, leipzig or gladbach you know what i'm saying.

3. i try to not being so delulu about it but i guess we will able to break bayern's quarter final curse and maybe able to reach semis or (not to be delulu) finals. but yeah we only just need the whole team to get their shit together for the whole season and not being screwed up during middle of the season (literally not a perfect time for the fc hollywood drama if you ask me 🙃)

4. okay but it's kinda funny when thinking that harold will probably be the bayern's top scorer for this season 🤭🤭. okay but harry kane aside, other player that i can able to see being the bayern's top scorer of season is probably will be serge i guess. he just needs to sharpen his finishing skills and it will works.

5. hmmmm well maybe seeing some of underdog teams that perform very well and able to challenge top teams of the league just like union during last season and i looking forward to it actually

6. no but i really don't want to say this but i'm so scared rn with how's the condition of manu's for this season tbh :((((...i don't want to say more because i truly not preparing for any possibilites happen this season about him 😔😔💔

So this au takes place some time after day of the diesels & TATMR. Maybe like six months afterwards if we're looking at time period. Though it's not really specified.

This all starts like several centuries (like..120 & half years) ago. Like before sodor railway was as big as it is today. They are in the fucking trenches here dude. It was literally just the old farts of the engines. Like. Edward, duke, fearless Freddy etc (yes I know about fearless Freddy and I love him..fearless Freddy lover RISE.)

Diesel 10 & Lady are still on good terms before Diesel 10 goes crazy & tries to kill Lady in order to take all of her gold dust for himself in an act of jealousy & rage. There backstory is like Luna & celestia expect Luna just gets crazier & goes full out with body mods & starts talking to a non senaint claws on his back that connected to his crazy fucking everything tool arm that 100% definitely has a Lazer in it.

& Celestia grows resentful due to all the trouble luna has caused her but at the same time she can only feel sorrow as she knows he is good. He was good. but his mind is far to rotted away because she literally turned him into a god like her and didn't know the consequences of turning a normal ass guy with extremely high iq and can make robots and shit immortal. She keeps giving him bits of gold dust whenever they fight ( which is rare that they get close enough to) " by accident" in order to keep him alive because she can't handle him dying even though that is what would end his eternal suffering she just can't let go.

Her grief for someone gone has made a man that cannot live. Oh and diesel is aware she's giving him the gold dust but let's her because he still deep down cares and the thought of her grefing for all eternity alone terrfiys him deep inside he core because if what he became from just anger and rage, imagine what she could become from grief. Primal,human grief that grabs you by the throat and chokes you until you are gurgling and spitting up your own past blood and watching it run down your chest as the denial begins to fade and the rage begins to form.

However there is this motherfucker named Wasp who loves controlling people so they can cause chaos and despair. The also have a wasp face but a human body. It's not there's either btw! They are possessing the first FC wife btw...sorry (deceased) Lady Hatt the 1 (This obviously takes place after the second dude is born)

If your muse has a soft spot for the red heads (lol) and thnks he is worth the risk, Five is always open for potential relationships.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

nam here! after this interaction, i decided it’s within my best interest to re-introduce myself and my 3 children. i have been in lgc since 2020, though my “eldest” was actually my second muse and the fact she’s lasted this long still shocks me.

this turned out longer than i expected, but i hope it sort of works re-introduce myself to you, and work towards more plotting!! i used to loooove plotting but life... ANYWAY!

Yamashita Ichika ( fc; miyawaki sakura - le sserafim )

*sobs softly* i remember when i first brought her her fc was listed as iz*one. based off her fc, ichika was a japanese idol who decided to leave it all to come to s.korea to challenge herself and to capitalize on the growing popularity of k-pop worldwide. however, due to the toxic culture within her former group, what was a nice but introverted girl turned hard, and self-serving. over time, however, she not only managed to debut legacy’s crystallis, she’s started to open her heart to making friends and trusting others. though she can be a bit awkward but she’s trying. while she did manage to get a boyfriend despite hating him at first, her main goal for me has always been growing her trust in others and having friends. due to personal irl stuff this last year, i haven’t been as active with this and just been trying to get requirements done, but she has made some progress. in 2023 let’s plot more okay?

Okada Taiyou ( fc; adachi yuto - pentagon )

in all honesty, taiyou was made when lgc was having a model drought but i love my boy. taiyou never planned to be famous, but decided to come to korea as a way to break out of his shell. initially he wanted to be an idol but his own fears and problems with his confidence seemed to dilute whatever promise he held to debut. after he failed to join fd4, he sort of gave up on being an idol (he was aging out tbh), and decided to try modeling instead of packing his bags completely. as a model he’s gotten hosting opportunities and has started his own sunglasses brand called SOLA. he was also made to be a foil to ichika, who was blunt and standoffish but looked pretty and nice. taiyou looks like a cold emo boy but he’s very sweet, and kind. he especially has a soft spot for the japanese trainees.

Parker Su ( fc; xiao dejun/xiaojun - nct/wayv )

while ichika and taiyou are my introverts, parker is my extrovert. he’s friendly and outgoing, and has the ability to talk a wall— or perhaps sing to it. parker is from san francisco, california, usa, and just wants to sing day and night. he’s just a romantic who loves to sing love songs, and used to fall in love with a new girl every week because girls are a gift and he loved the idea of love. even if he’s short, he’s too confident in himself to care— though i wouldnt call him full of himself or egotistical. parker knows he’s playful and fun loving, and believes in the end his personality will always overshadow his shortcomings. that said, he did end up falling for a tsundere model but she left the company (aka was accidentally cleared) before he could tell her how he felt so he’s a bit in his sad boy era right now. which is hard since he just debuted as type zero’s new main vocalist and just finished up his debut promotion so he should be on the top of the world.

@strangefellows made a direct attack against me so alas, take my wips. XIV has taken over my life and I’ve created a sprawling verse of the butterfly effects and accidental Ascian untempering and recruiting so that’s what most of these are lol, though none of them are published yet.

You once again get an essay length response because it’s me.

Rules: Share the first lines of ten of your most recent fanfics and tag ten people. If you have written fewer than ten, don't be shy and share anyway.

It was time. There was an underlying buzz of energy amongst the Shadows within the Palace, and Arsène and Izanagi leaned against one of the upper walls on the outside of the fortress, looking out over the forest around them as the other ultimates of their arcana ensured everything was organized.

-First paragraph of chapter 4 of Shadows Within. It’s finally infiltration time! Which means that Arsene and Izanagi are Plotting.

2. Etheria didn’t know what compelled her. She should have known better.

Hadn’t the shard of Themis - of Elidibus - in the tower told her?

“The reality you wish to save - the reality to which you must return - exists as a result of the Final Days. You cannot reshape the past to undo the tragedies of the present. Cannot unmake the sorrow and suffering fated to come.”

She’d thought he’d meant that the events were unchangeable. That the past was set in stone, and she wouldn’t be able to affect it. But wasn’t G’raha the direct contradiction to that idea?

First section of Two Steps Back, one of my time travel fics in which my main WoL messes up in Elpis and creates a split timeline bc she panics and destroys Kairos. The Convocation quickly gets involved and oh look, now she has two timelines’ Final Days to avert. Azem is delighted at her involvement though, so there’s that.

3. As she slammed face-first into the ground, Etheria took several moments to comprehend what had just happened.

Cierread, a Sharlayan scholar studying the mechanics of time, had recruited her to help him investigate a dungeon that supposedly had tomes created by a former scholar who had been studying the subject as well. It had been a relatively routine run, they’d collected the tomes without undue issue, only to find them locked by magicks.

She’d ended up calling the other Scions for aid after the rest of the Sharlayan library had failed them - well, she’d mostly called on G‘raha and Y’shtola, as well as Themis and Heph, but the others had ended up there either by circumstance or curiosity - but when they had managed to force the first of the tomes open-

First section of Antics of Chronology, my second time travel fic that’s… well it’s supposed to be a much more humorous take on time travel shenanigans but it’s rapidly turning serious as per usual, so we’ll see. Basically I take the post-EW Scions and yeet them back to ARR, and they have to deal with the consequences and figure out what to do now. Etheria looks up from landing and sees Ifrit and goes “oh no”. (And just as a fun tidbit, Cierread is my versions Source shard of Nabriales and he did come back with the rest of them, so that’s going to be a fun interaction when he shows up with Moenbryda XD)

4. She awoke slowly, dry heat shifting uncomfortably around her in what should have been a cooling breeze, but wasn’t. It-

What was going on? She’d been… been…

… at her computer?

Yeah, she’d been at her computer, on vc with her FC, waiting for the new update for the 6.1 patch to finish downloading, and then they’d all hit play together and… and…

White.

Hear… feel… think…

The adventure continues.

What…?

First section of Fantasy’s Dawn. Aka Log Horizon, but it’s FFXIV and everyone wakes up in their avatar at the beginning of 1.0 (for legacy players) or ARR (for non-legacies) with each WoL having their own self-contained MSQ that adjusts to their own actions - except our main six heroes who somehow share an MSQ instance. Everyone is left scrambling trying to figure out how the metaphysics even works, and how much control they actually have over the world and story. (A lot, it turns out, to the horror and amusement of many.)

5. It wasn’t that Etheria didn’t trust Urianger’s judgement, or his expertise in aetherology, but she still maintained that they should have done fire directly after water, before moving on to earth and then wind, and then lighting. He’d gone into a lecture about aetheric flow and why activating directly opposing elements together could potentially do more harm than good, either canceling each other out or clashing and causing rebounds.

And she understood that - she did - but that was mere speculation and it now left them with their conundrum of lightning priming the area for life, but nothing actually growing.

Windburn, part of my exploration of how Eden goes in my main verse, this is the lead-in to the Ifrit-Garuda fight and my WoL’s terror at fighting not one, but both of them because she has very very bad memories of them both.

6. It had been quiet since the appearance of Mitron, none of them quite sure how to handle the situation. Hephaistos especially had been quiet - that stiff stoicism and clipped logic that spoke to a guilt he refused to admit to, something that she and Thancred had talked about following the events in Eden earlier.

They were all returned to Ahm Areng, for the moment, with Mitron still unconscious from her battle with him. It had been… different from her other fights with the Ascians. There was no precise calculation, no higher goal, no intent for the world at large.

He’d been frantic, focused solely upon Gaia, and his thought process had been disjointed and difficult to follow.

Paradise Forfeit, skipping to the halfway/end point of the Eden raids, which went slightly different from canon thanks to Lahabrea being untempered and Etheria more aware of the situation in general, so Gaia gets shielded and doesn’t lose her memories. Mitron his ass kicked a bit sooner too, and dragged out of Eden to be stabilized. It’s an exploration of Artemis letting Gaia go and finding his own stability, in the lead up to 5.3 (bc I place my Eden raids together in the span between 5.0 and 5.3 for streamlining reasons in this verse).

7. They knew. They all knew - had known from the moment they’d heard him speak at the gate.

But none of them could even begin to guess the details. How G’raha was here, how the Crystal Tower was here - it made no sense. The Crystal Tower was still standing tall and cold next to Silvertear Lake back home - closed, sealed, with G’raha most certainly still inside.

The theory they felt held the most weight, currently, was one Aella and Yiskah had formulated based on the Exarch’s words - that he was from a time removed from their own. Likely some years in the future, and he had been summoned to this world along with the tower and awoken upon arrival - thus making his earlier claim that he’d summoned the tower from a random point in time technically not an absolute lie - not that they would let him get away with that once they eventually confronted him about this.

Orchestrations, my SHB case study of Etheria’s relationship with the Exarch and Urianger and their plots. G’raha can’t get away with shit with my WoLs, sorry G’raha. Aella and Yiskah are archons who helped him with his own thesis and he with theirs, and S’ohlis has been pining since the CT raids. Etheria can sense aether, and Vale and Rosalia are a mercenary and pirate, they can recognize voices and tell when someone’s lying.

8. Etheria wasn’t entirely sure what to expect as she led the way up the stairs of the Crystal Tower, into the Ocular where the other three stopped. Themis in particular appeared wary of entering the Umbilicus - not that she could blame him. The version of him that was the piece of his soul she and the Exarch had sealed within the Tower was… Elidibus. While he had still retained some of his memories and mentality of his time as an Ascian, the majority of it had remained with the piece of his soul they’d pulled away; while the memories of his life before the summoning of Zodiark that he had reclaimed from his brief fall into the lifestream before Hades and Etheria had pulled him back as the him of here and now.

None of them were sure how the piece of Elidibus in the tower would react, or how their souls would react together.

Unto Elpis, as the name says it’s the lead-in to the jump back to Elpis in EW for Etheria in my main verse. Not much to say, other than poor Themis is in for a rough bit of adjusting to getting all the rest of his memories of the post-sundering back at once.

9. Azem had to admit, they weren’t… entirely sure how they were going to approach Lahabrea. Not that they were at all adverse, but they wouldn’t have gathered the boldness, the audacity, without Hyth’s prodding. The man was stern and focused on his work above all else, and certainly not the type to fool around. Especially with Azem, who was undoubtedly the greatest headache for him more often than not.

Styx knew that he didn’t hate them, or even truly dislike them, for all that he was often the first to criticize their methods and actions. But that didn’t change the fact that they were in opposition more often than not and that he would likely respond scathingly to a “distraction from their duties”.

Then again, perhaps it was simply a matter of constraints to work around.

The Lahabrea chapter of I Próklisi, a fic with the premise of Hyth going “Hey Azem, bet you can’t seduce the whole convocation” and Azem going “CHALLENGE ACCEPTED”. It’s a silly ridiculous premise that’s supposed to be generally lighthearted, but is… okay honestly it’s mostly a character study in Convocation dynamics, general lore, and character headcanons wrapped up in a thin veneer of smut. For example, I got less than a quarter into this chapter and was trying to plan ahead and just stopped to stare at Lahabrea and go “oh you have so much trauma from Athena don’t you” so. I can’t even say these are “plot what plot” because while there’s no real overarching plot, each chapter is definitely going to have a character based subplot.

10. Would that the rest of the Convocation was as easy to approach as Mitron and Loghrif, Azem thought ruefully to themself as they considered who to approach next.

There was always Nabriales, of course. They and Aion had casually tumbled into bed - well they usually didn’t make it into a bed; offices or debate rooms or far flung corners of the star were far more common - together several times. If they asked if he was up for it, chances were low he’d be uninterested.

That was kind of defeating the point of the challenge, though - it wasn’t supposed to be easy.

(The fact that Hyth had strongly implied that he’d managed it made them very curious about the stories there.)

The Fandaniel chapter of I Próklisi, though Azem doesn’t decide on him in the opening paragraphs. So far it’s just Azem worrying if he’s adjusting to Amaurot and the Convocation seat okay, inviting themself over for dinner, and then going to check with his lover (Asclepius, the ancient of my other WoL Yiskah) to make sure their overtures wouldn’t be overstepping bounds. I’m 2k words in and haven’t even gotten to the dinner, it’s just talking about boundaries and comfort levels so far. If that gives you any indication of what this fic is. XD

the people have spoken, i’ve settled on an fc, here’s a quick wip thing about my new guy. super basic barebones info, just until i have the spoons to write up an actual, full bio. tw for death. lots of death. he’s an executioner so??

His name’s Wolrick (wool - rick). Based in a medieval-fantasy setting. An executioner who’s brought his blade down on kings and peasants, nobles and pirates, etc. It’s how he makes his living. But, twist… he’s a grim reaper, who sustains his life and energy with what he pulls from those he executes. He sees nothing wrong with it, and he doesn’t do it with strictly malicious intent… it’s just how he keeps himself alive. And he actually sees something noble in it. At least if he’s the one swinging the blade, he can control where their souls go, and prevent them from wandering as lost souls. If they’re going to die anyway, he may as well be the one to do it and guide them to the afterlife.

He does also have the rare ability to restore life to those he’s taken life from... only those he personally ended the lives of. And rarely, as he’s loathe to give up his source of food often. But, occasionally, he’ll be forced to execute someone truly innocent and, in that case, when he’s in the process of removing the body, he’ll resurrect them. He also does something most other executioners would scoff at / be appalled at... he meets with the damned in their cell before they’re to be executed, in order to gauge their innocence for himself. He has an uncanny ability to tell when someone has been wrongly accused, and he’s never been wrong about it, yet. And he uses this sense to decide who’s deserving of a second shot at life.

Personality wise, he can be hard to get along with. The life he’s chosen causes most to give him a wide berth, and his social skills reflect that. He’s curt, matter of fact, quiet, gruff. But honest to a fault, matter of fact. If you’re looking for someone to tell it to you straight, he’s your guy.

physical trait-wise: the only possible giveaway he might not be human is his eyes. They are an unusual yellow color, that gives people pause. But, considering he’s usually wearing a full face mask when interacting with people --- aka, doing his job --- it tends to go unnoticed for the most part.

This oc is a mash up from dc and reimagined for the marvel universe, and just so many times when I see this situation out there the character feels very shoehorned into the fandom and it doesnt fit right and it just doesnt work and falls apart like a wet sandwich. But not akasupergirl, there is just something about the character that is so authentic and so real and just like she could exist in the marvel universe. She also picked an amazing fc that works amazing for what she is doing in the marvel fandom, seriously check out this mun and muse and get stuff going with them because I know you wont regret it! //So when the sequel trilogy of star wars came out with the first movie and then the second there was a huge trend on here with people for Kylo and for the ship with him and rey and at first like eh I dont see, its not that great eh whatever whatever whatever, I honestly still kinda ship her with Poe I just thought they had some cute moments together here and there. Then I saw the third one and saw them like actually be together and not snarl at each other and then I saw the ship, and then I was in the theater for rise of skywalker and I was tearing up when he dies and becomes one with the force and I was like 'god damnit, I ship the stupid thing now!' lol. Honestly no I wouldnt, I'm where I am right now because of my past, something changing there could completely change where I would be right now. long hair that he can glamour short when he needs to blend into a crowd

eyes turn bloody red when annoyed or when he has to exert himself

is able to grow ox horns when extremely angry

PERSONALITY: he was feared. he was righteous. he was a force to be reckoned with. fiery hands, a piercing gaze and a dead heart - that’s how diyu’s residents would describe their king, yanluo wang. he was a man without family, and no companions. safe for two guardians under his wing, yanluo was a lone soul. no matter who warmed his bed at night or drank tea with him during the day, he was a private man.

despite his somewhat intimidating aura, yanluo does have a warm spot in his heart for those he respects and cares for. baby animals and young children affect him. a young man or woman seeking for his guidance or patronage may be surprised at finding his door open for them. he heeds the call of those in mortal danger, but will smite anyone who may appear to have harmful intentions towards him or towards those he considers his.

however, despite being fond of some people, none is actually always safe from yanluo. he may embrace you one day, and scorn you the next. appeasing him and kowtowing may work sometimes, but don’t rely on such tactics. after all, darkness grows where darkness is harboured. centuries of inflicting torture and living amongst the filthiest of the filthy has left its mark on what used to be a gracious, lenient and compassionate god of the people.

HISTORY: chapter i.

he used to be the first king of hell. then the fifth. ’too lenient’, the heavens had muttered. yanluo wang had been too merciful in his judgements of the mortal souls. too many had entered heaven, displeasing the authority in the skies, and he had been swiftly demoted. now, he was king of all. ruler of diyu - judge, jury and executioner. with guardians ( aka minions ) to do his bidding. yanluo want did not make the same mistake twice. he was intelligent, and a diligent worker. yanluo did not take disrespect lightly, and was ambitious. his ambitions had placed him on a throne he was intending to keep for all eternity.

yanluo’s elevated position gave his innate powers a boost, as did his ego. diyu itself was no longer enough to satisfy the lord of the dead’s desires. he wanted more; wanted to experience what life beyond the gates of hell had to offer. curious about the mortals whose souls he judged in death, yanluo then ventured out of hell and into the bustling world of the living. disguised as a handsome young man, he soon gained attraction - from males and females alike. years passed as yanluo wang learned about the humans nüwa created, and with that knowledge came insight in human relations, and a specific courting dance ensued.

chapter iii.

in a past long forgotten, before recorded history, yanluo once held his child. a human, a wonderful and gorgeous woman, had given him a gift of life. with eyes full of wonder ( and disbelief ), yanluo had gazed upon the small, delicate bundle and cautiously reached for it. completely trusting him, that youthful, mortal woman had handed yanluo her child.

( and in doing so, sealed both the babe’s and the god king’s fates. )

pained screeches had pierced yanluo’s ears as the babe’s face contorted in agony. just seconds before, the baby girl had been peacefully asleep. but the moment yanluo wang’s hands had touched the baby, her skin started melting. the stench was maddening, the sight gruesome and yanluo’s heart froze over.

the look in the god’s eyes turned to shock as he stood bending over his own child, watching skin boil. absolutely terrified, yanluo thrust the child back into her screaming mother’s arms. the pain from the mortal’s fingernails having clawed at his neck didn’t register as the god took a step back.

it was the first and last time the god of death ever held a child.

stricken with grief ( and a simmering rage deep inside ), yanluo wang finally returned to diyu. he didn’t reappear in the mortal world until countless decades later. when the pain of his loss had become a dull throb inside his chest, and the control over his own powers strengthened.

chapter ∞.

once again among mortals, the god of death observed from a distance. yanluo had learnt another valuable lesson. pleasures of the skin, a good game of ‘go’, and cultivating one’s mind with taoists, yanluo enjoyed it all. but never again did he let a mortal get close enough for emotional attachments.

( unstable emotions were detrimental to his control. )

as the centuries passed and human life modernised, yanluo remained more or less the same. hidden in the shadows, his existence was quiet yet powerful. the god fulfilled his duties of weighing justice and meting out punishments, embracing the wicked souls within diyu’s arms. and if he enjoyed executing his duties a little bit too much, no one confronted him about it. and no one could. there was a darkness within yanluo wang, one that had been growing for a long, long time as he had been holed up within the shadowy planes of the underworld.

this particular singe of darkness however remained nestled deep within yanluo’s heart, momentarily suppressed, as he made his way towards a new destination. a city of gods; a new place to discover with new stories to learn and fresh memories to make. the king of death once again hungers for more, and he intends to find it on mount phoenix.

POWERS:

afterlife judgement: as the god of death, judging the souls of the deceased, he has the ability to be either the soul’s salvation, sending them to heaven or have them be reincarnated, or the soul’s damnation, damning them to a torturous eternity in diyu.

afterlife border/travelling: yanluo is free to go back to diyu or take other with him ( temporarily ).

afterlife connection: yanluo is always spiritually connected to his realm and its residents, even when he is not physically there. he can receive messages, send messages and spiritually interact with the realm and its spirits.

scald generation & knife/blade proficiency: yanluo is known to torture wicked souls by boiling them, and gouging limbs and body parts. his touch can be decaying/melting.

blood manipulation: due to yanluo’s lordship over the fifth layer of diyu ( mountain of blood ), he has the power of blood manipulation.

death sense: yanluo can sense the coming of death, when it is near. he is also able to sense the lifespans of the people he sees.

necromancy: yanluo can temporarily raise the dead. what appears are zombie-like creatures that are fully under yanluo’s command.

STRENGTHS:

as one of the oldest gods in the pantheon, yanluo has near perfect control over his powers, minus some particular limitations.

patient, intuitive, observant, respectful, soft ( sometimes ), intelligent, agile, careful, charming, fair

yanluo is generally fearless and accepts challenges. he does calculate the outcomes before though.

yanluo listens well to his subordinates and takes their opinions into consideration, especially at work.

despite what one might think, yanluo’s nature is to be a protector. it is because of this nature that he tends to seclude himself from other people in case he may harm them, and instead prefers to be a guardian in the shadows.

got pets or high quality tea? that’s sure to catch yanluo’s attention!

when he loves, yanluo loves wholly, deeply and intensely.

he looks good in nearly anything he wears but he does prefer wearing traditional clothing, like hanfu.

WEAKNESSES:

in regards to afterlife border/travelling, yanluo can only take one person with him into diyu for a total of ten minutes at a time. any longer, and the person’s body will perish, trapping their soul in the underworld. for this reason, yanluo has never taken a single mortal with him back to diyu. yanluo can also weaken the border that gives access to diyu, but he will not likely do this. his sense of duty and justice is stronger than his power to lower the barriers.

afterlife connection: yanluo is only able to connect with souls and spirits inside diyu ( belonging to the chinese pantheon ), and not any other realm. trying to connect to diyu takes a lot of energy, especially now he is no longer physically on mainland china. receiving messages tires him out, and sending messages/commands lowers his enhanced senses to the state of being groggy afterwards.

yanluo can only scald others by using his hands. he needs to be physically touching the person for their skin or blood to boil and melt.

because he is not physically where he belongs ( in diyu ), yanluo’s death sense is limited to a distance of 20 kms in each direction. seeing lifespans does not give him the name of the person he is seeing.

necromancy: limited to beings with a soul, and limited to time ( max a day ).

can be menacing, vindictive, obsessed with decorum, difficulty adapting, guarded, violent, lonely, competitive, distrusting, secretive, distant

if he ever meets one of his own children, that would be both a blessing and a curse to yanluo: he would be nervous, stumble over his words and definitely be too stiff to hug any of them.

he's a david harbour fc made in a scifi universe, where he was born human now has rusted cyborg parts holding him together. born in this city of dust, where the sky's always red it always seems to wear on him. miner, turned war veteran, turned second in command of a group of essentially rebel pirates (only on land). there's just something about him, stoic and worn from the years in the sun and all he knows to do is fight, because inside there's a restlessness that won't settle. but he's taking it, and to him he's doing the right thing. fighting the war to put an end to it so hopefully there's a better future. here's some of his aesthetics because i just have to share! anyway sorry that got long, i promise i tried to keep it a short summary..

Wednesday, November 30 -- SWYNRP Character Wishlist: A list of 10+ characters you’d like to see in the RP (for you to play or someone else!)

1. Cash; I literally have his entire app written out (#Foxandthehound2foramerica - it’s been 2 years). I was going to pick this man up before he even had a skeleton. Cash has been a hovering entity for idk how long. It became an even deeper thought when someone mentioned b-coops as a perfect FC (and that’s my dude. I used to have a running joke of always having a Bcoops FC in my old RPs) However, I decided against Cash a) because I thought it would have been better to bring him in with a Reba and to link up their stories, and also because at the time, his story seemed a little too similar to Dodger’s. The second one...doesn’t exactly apply anymore. But.......I shouldn’t get another character. I LOVE HIM THOUGH.

I’m begging you. Take him from me. TAKE HIM. Look I even made a little banner to show how much u should take him. Adopt him. JUST TAKE HIM.

LOOK AT HIS FACE. LOOK AT BRADLEY COOPER (A Star is Born, Bradley Cooper specifically). LOOK. GET HIM AWAY FROM ME.

2. Fawn; Another one I have the basis of an app written for. But we know my track record with women (aka for some reason I have none) so therefor SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD BRING THEM YEAH? C’mon. She’d be fun. She’d be great. We need Chaotic-Good energies in the house.

3. ....Look - I’m still 100% saying someone should pick up Roger Rabbit - I just think it would be incredibly funny and I don’t think (?) we have a skeleton for him yet so like. World is your oyster. But imagine him being some kind of weird magic that allows him to fuck with the world kind of like a cartoon so he can have those over-exaggerated, cartoony, over the top moments, you know?

4. Piglet: This is just me selfishly wanting more of the Hundred Acre crew on board. There’s only 3 of us. I think that the series is full of wonderful characters and Piglet is a perfect diverse character who I think would be a wonderful addition and like... be friends with greg pls.

5. On that same token - I stopped doing this either out of choice or simply because I forgot but when I first started writing Greg, I’d force him to answer starters/be places because I gave him an NPC friend who was outgoing and friendly and did everything and dragged Gregory with. That friend was ‘Chris’. This was always a super lowkey NPC variant of Christopher Robin and so I think it would be delightful if someone brought the real Christopher Robin too. Obviously it also doesn’t have to do anything with the previous mentioned tidbit - but I just think he’d be a neat character.

6. Iago. I loved Iago. I love everything about Iago; his skeleton drew me to him the second it was posted and I ended up getting him twice but... He’s too big of a potential baddie for me. I lovingly accept the supporting artist category - and therefore big villains don’t work well with me. Now, technically Iago is a support/side character but - we know damn well he wants the world. He’s the true brains of the operation. He knows what he wants and he’s a powerhouse with SUPER COOL MAGIC. Someone please get him.

7. Similarly - It’d be cool if someone got Camilo. I have nothing to do with the Madrigals but like Iago, I just think mimicry is some of the coolest magic. Camilo is actually like....... my compromise in theory because he’s everything I want in Iago (aka the cool powers) but without the big character energy that always knocks me with Iago. I also love a sarcastic fuck mama’s boy. I won’t do it though - no.

8. Give me the baby;

9. Do we seriously not have any Lilo & Stitch characters?? What are we DOING. Doesn’t someone feel so inclined to get Stitch!? (okay I know some of you are traumatized but we can REBRAND. We can MOVE ON). Wouldn’t stitch be a fantastic little demon monster (not literally) to run around Swynlake? I mean please... imagine them vs most Swynlake disasters.

10. Pascal - please. While I don’t have the trio of characters that all had tattoos and the two of them that were tattoo junkies that would have severely benefitted from this - Gregory still has tattoos (and may or may not be working towards an entire sleeve slowly but surely but you didn’t hear it from me) and c’mon. I have ONCE AGAIN BEEN ASKING FOR YEARS.
