say what you want but aa3 feenris was extremely real in terms of an old connection that left an impression so permanent that they still know each other extremely well no matter what feelings remained. the thought of them drives me insane. what happens after the game ends? was the trial and the truth that got discovered everything needed and did they decide that was the end of it? does one of them wish to talk but the pain and the complications don't allow it to happen? does phoenix visit? does iris, when he is disbarred? do they fall into the quickest friendship in the history of friendships because of that mutual understanding and faith in each other? does one of them ever entertain the idea of trying again but then think "no. too much has happened" and the thought ends there, a pure hypothetical, and it's for the best, really, and it's not like there are any feelings of that nature left... but there could be, right? but there also couldn't. right? what were the odds of two young people meeting and loving each other so very much that that love burned each other into their minds and made them have so much faith after all these years. what were the odds that young love would end so strangely and so painfully. what were the odds of them meeting again. screw endgame, screw ships, what a fucking story they are is what matters.

and the impact of that story that they carry! love may leave you forever but the memories stay, and that's how it never actually leaves. i like to think, believe, more like, that those memories slowly turn into something neutral overall: "there were good times and then there were bad times; a shame, a pain, but now an acceptable one, so i remember the hurt as one looks at a faded scar and remember the good as one looks at a photo in a dusty frame", and i hope the last impression those memories and that relationship leaves on them is a soft smile and an "i hope they're well", because lord knows they both deserve some peace.

I was not expecting to have so much fun with Elle. She fits in so well with the reality tv format. Even if it means we've got L-with-an-L and Elle-with-two-Ls.

Smth smth abt how both of them were treated back then and how they treat people now

Like,, Diantha was hurt physically. Her mother would hit her, she burnt her skin, would slap her, even pour liquor on her, telling her to stop crying, crying shows weakness. And then there's her acting career and such and how some roles would often demand more from her body and it'd fuck her up sometimes. There's Ignis, one of the former Elite Four, how he tore apart the LucarioMan cape and hat Drasna got for her, kicking her to the ground, going on how she's a Champion, she should act like one, not act like a child. But she was a child. She was just a child and everyone fucking hated her. Scars and burns littered her body beneath all that concealer and make up and she fucking hated it.

Iris was hurt emotionally. No one ever hit her or anything like that, but rather they'd make fun of her, taunt her, make snide comments on anything abt her. Even as she grew up, everyone looked down on her. Always a shadow of Drayden, a shadow of Alder, a shadow of Hilbert and Hilda. She'd hear comments on how she's just trying too hard, how they still don't see her as a Champion, how could they if they never even saw her as a proper Gym Leader back then. She was always seen as a child by everyone, even after years, still going on how she's just embarrassing herself w how hard she's trying and failing. No matter what she does, everyone fucking hated her. Underneath her faux persona of optimism, her heart was already broken by their piercing words.

But Diantha lacked the physical strength to hit back, instead, she relied on her wits. She was a smart kid. Drasna always told her that, she was rather smart for her age, she knows a lot. About people especially. She knows how to break someone with just her words, knows their deepest fears and insecurities, knows all their imperfections, knows all their flaws. And she'd be the one to voice it, she'd be the one to tell them how they're unfit to live in this world, tell them how useless they truly are, how weak they were.

Iris didn't lack that strength, rather the people of Unova denied she was ever strong in the first place. And if they didn't see it the first time, then she'll show it to them again. She spared no one, made them see how powerful she truly was. The people of Unova didn't appreciate her strength, but Kyurem did, Plasma did. Plasma became so much better with her as the new leader now. They were stronger, even the Heroes were struggling against them. She knows how weak the people of Unova are, and here she is, taunting them about their own strength. She watches them from above, watches them run and cry and scream and fight, fruitless she'd say, as they continue to struggle under Plasma's power, and their fate being sealed with Kyurem's Glaciate.

number 4: try to play killer with bad wifi AND while mmr cap is altered so good killer players (me) are primarily playing against good survivors (usually swfs)

I just want to progress the rift!!!! #and boy does it grate on my nerves to go against players I KNOW I could beat. but lose bc lag. #it keeps stopping me for periods of several seconds. #if you play dbd you know that losing even 3 seconds of time is a fucking disaster. #because that's all it takes. one mistake. and the whole game will go in the other side's turn. #especially if you're the killer. and especially if you're playing against swfs with even mediocre skill level. #like am I glad to have learned that. yes. I am high mmr and therefore good at both hux & ghostface? eeeyes. #I have self confidence issues. Of course the affirmation is nice. #but does learning this in the most blood boiling. skin tearing. teeth gnashing way possible piss me off a bit? also yes. #am I ultimately angry about losing though? no. #my priority is the rift and completing it so I get the exclusives & earn back the currency I used to pay for it. #I'm going to have to grind the bloody rift when this internet issue resolves itself. #it is doable within like. a week. i'd wager. but ugh that is a lot of gameplay nonetheless. to go from tier 35 to tier 83. #ah. the joys of living in the middle of fucking nowhere.
