Help My Family Evacuate From Gaza, Urgent
Hello,
Firstly, I don't have many friends or followers to support my donation link, and I don't have the funds to advertise it. I really need your help.
Tumblr media
My name is Menna Musa, and I am from Gaza. Let me briefly tell you my sad story. My brothers were killed in front of our house. They attacked the neighborhood where we live, destroying our home and cars, and even killing our cat.
Tumblr media
I feel like I'm in a nightmare. I can't believe I will never see my house and my cat again. My life will never be as beautiful. They took from us the most precious things we had. My brothers, Abd and Ahmed, were the kindest souls. Abdullah was my best friend, and Ahmed was like a father to me. I really miss them.
After what happened to my brothers, we were forced to evacuate to the south. We were transported in an animal cart, and my family and I became homeless without any clothes or food. My surviving brother did his best to get me, my mother, and my sister out of Gaza, but he is still stuck there with his wife and children amidst bombing, hunger, and fear. My nieces, Alma and Dania, are very young. They need milk, diapers, and clothes. The weather in Gaza is very cold.
Tumblr media
I ask for your help to get my brother and his family out of Gaza. I really can't handle any harm happening to him, so please donate to us.

Nasarawa Buys N500m Cars For Lawmakers Despite Having No Single Ventilator In The State
Tumblr media
Nasarawa State Government has reportedly purchased 24 new expensive cars for state lawmakers, estimated at over N500 million, despite having no single ventilator to help fight coronavirus in the state.
The Speaker of Nasarawa House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi, on Monday stated that the state governor, Abdullahi Sule, gave the 24 Toyota Hilux to the lawmakers as official vehicles.
Daily Trust reports that some Medical and Health Workers in the state on Thursday protested non-payment of their March salary by Doma local government. They threatened to embark on industrial action from Friday, if they are not paid.
Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) threatened to embark on strike over non payment of their March salary by Doma local council.
Mr Adamu Musa, the Secretary of Ekye branch of the union in Doma Local Government, made this know on Thursday in Lafia when they appeared to defend their petition before the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, (NSHA) Committee on Public Complaints, Petitions and Security chaired by Hon Danladi Jatau.
”We petitioned the Chairman of Doma Local Government, Alhaji Rabo Sani over non payment of our March salary to health workers and we are set to commence strike by Friday 17th,2020 if nothing is done,” Musa said.
Some stakeholders of Nasarawa State have faulted the purchase of the cars for the state lawmakers, stressing that the money should have been channelled to equip its hospitals with modern equipment like ventilators.
An activist, Omar Nurudeen, said the presentation of new Toyota Hilux cars to the 24 lawmakers was unnecessary.
He lamented that the cars were presented at a time most states have cut down their spending to meet the economic challenges brought on in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
Omar noted that each car which allegedly cost N21m could pay for at least three ventilators, which would have improved the health system of the state.
Umar Angibi, the immediate past state chairman of Inter Party Advisory Committee, and now a member of All Progressives Congress, said the purported purchase of cars may appear to be irresponsible at this point in time because of the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic, but not necessarily an illegitimate act.
“If the resources used by the House of Assembly to acquire the vehicles are their entitlement, then let it be, after all government is a continuum,” Angibi said.
Chairman of the leading opposition People’s Democratic Party in the state, Francis Orogu declined with “No comment for the moment.”
Explaining why it bought the cars, the state government claimed the vehicles were bought for the members of the assembly to facilitate their oversight functions, in line with existing practice as provided by law and other extant regulations.
This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Tijjani Ahmed.
“It is a tradition that the state government normally purchases official vehicles for newly-elected members to enable the legislators perform their oversight functions among other legislative activities effectively,” the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdualahi, said during the presentation.
The State commissioner for Information, Dogo Shammah added that the choice of car was because of the bad terrain in the state, stressing that the state has made order for ventilators and expecting delivery soon.
“We have some area that have bad terrain in the state, that is why they were given Toyota Hilux for them to go back and meet the people of their constituencies and hear their complaints instead of going to them during elections only.
“The ventilators have been ordered and we are expecting anytime soon,” the commissioner said.

True Picture Of Why Nigerians Are Suffering
New Post has been published on https://www.thisdaynews.net/2018/05/25/true-picture-of-why-nigerians-are-suffering/
True Picture Of Why Nigerians Are Suffering
I have been following closely the activities of this government and whenever I have the opportunity, I try to find out the opinions of people as regards the performance of this government.
I just realized that the hardship faced by many Nigerians is simply as a result of the fact that almost everyone of us benefited from the cycle of corruption.
The bricklayer, plumber, laborers, tiler are all complaining because building construction has slowed down massively because the thieves no longer have money to spend on real estate.
The car dealers are grumbling because their cars are begging for buyers. Thieves can no longer spend wastefully.
The private school owners are shouting because parents can no longer pay outrageous sums and are withdrawing their wards.
I was shocked when I learnt that in a popular private University in Abuja, parents are writing undertaking at d account section for their children to be allowed to write exams, it goes on and on.
The fact is, a lot of people are returning to what someone referred to as ”default mode”.
We mostly have been living above our REAL MEANS.
We have been staying in houses that ordinarily our incomes can’t afford.
Our children going to schools we can’t afford. Driving cars we ordinarily can’t maintain.
We have been living a FAKE LIFE all along. Now the reality is before us and we don’t want to accept it.
This shows how morally bankrupt we are.
You can’t eat your Cake and have it. Take Note…”GOD HELP AND BLESS NIGERIA”
You got billions from bank without collateral using your political influence. You put half into your business and spent the other half on exotic cars, jeweleries, etc.
Your business employs 100 people normally. You get illegal waivers and concessions to import raw materials at rock bottom prices, you get over-inflated contract to supply Govt some goods your company produced. In short your company is kept afloat by corruption.
Now the new SHERIFF in town says:= No more ridiculous waivers, No more inflated contracts, No more bank loans without collateral, in fact its time you or your company pay off d billions of debt owed…..
AMCON takes over your company, staff are laid off……And you go on air to say the new sheriff is killing business and causing unemployment..
The truth is….you & your company were never in business, you were only feeding off the system.
Too many companies and banks are funded by corruption. Remove corruption from the system & they collapse we then end up blaming the person that removes corruption for the collapse of the corruptly run fake company.
Its like our system and corruption are so interwoven and inseparable that removing one may kill the other.
Maybe we should tolerate and learn to live with corruption so that Nigeria can survive?
Recession: What recession? If you think Nigeria is broke, then you are living in another planet. Now, please read the information below and tell me why Nigerians crying of hardship are comfortable with the bold looting of their collective wealth by the politicians.
A COUNTRY CALLED NIGERIA
Twenty-one senators currently receiving pensions from Govt as ex-Govs and Deputy governors.
Current senators who once served as Govs are Bukola Saraki of Kwara, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano, Kabiru Gaya of Kano, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, Theodore Orji of Abia, Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa, Sam Egwu of Ebonyi, Shaaba Lafiagi of Kwara, Joshua Dariye of Plateau Jonah Jang of Plateau, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto, Ahmed Sani Yarima of Zamfara, Danjuma Goje of Gombe, Bukar Abba Ibrahim of Yobe, Adamu Aliero of Kebbi and George Akume of Benue State.
The former Del Govs in the Senate are Ms Biodun Olujimi of Ekiti and Enyinaya Port Harcourt Abaribe of Abia. Danladi Abubakar Sani served as the acting governor of Taraba state.
Many former governors are also in Buhari’s Cabinet as Ministers. This includes: Ngige, Fayemi, Amaechi and Fashola (SAN).).
In Akwa Ibom State d law provides that Ex-Gov & Deputy Gov receive pension equivalent to the salaries of d incumbent. The package also includes a new official car and a utility vehicle every four years; one personal aide; a cook, chauffeurs and security guards for the governor at a sum not exceeding N5 million per month and N2.5 million for his Dep. Gov.
In Rivers, d law provides 100% of annual basic salaries for ex-governor & deputy, one residential house for the former governor “anywhere of his choice in Nigeria”; one residential house anywhere in Rivers for the deputy, three cars for the ex-governor every four years and two cars for the deputy every four years.
In Lagos it is alleged that a former governor ‘ll get two houses, one in Lagos and another in Abuja, estimated at N500mill in Lagos and N700 million in Abuja. He also receives six new cars to be replaced every three years; a furniture allowance of 300% of annual salary to be paid every two years, and a N30 million pension annually for life.
This is the reality for all the 21 ex govenors and deputy governors who are currently serving as senators. This same is also true of ex governors who are now serving as Ministers.
NOW I ASK: How many years did these guys serve their states as governors and deputy governors? Is it more than 8years? Is that a reason to be entitled to pensions for life? Even if they are entitled to pension for life, must it be so outrageous?
As if that is not enough: HOW on earth can any public servant with conscience collect salaries and allowances as a senator or minister, and still have the audacity to claim pensions equivalent to the salaries of a serving governor in Nigeria?
IT ISN’T ROCKET SCIENCE……
Once you are elected a senator or appointed a minister, you must forfeit any pension accruing to you from government at any level until you vacate office. This should also apply to senators collecting military pensions like former Senate President David Mark.
Yet these senators are in the Senate that is inviting d current finance minister to discuss the recession of Nigeria’s economy. A senator pockets approximately 30 million naira monthly as salary & allowances. Our “Honourables” are not interested to make laws that could restructure our country into economically autonomous federating States/Regions to save the country from sectional agitations that is threatening to destroy Nigeria. The sad and hopeless situation is that the rest of Nigerians are busy arguing based on party, ethnic and affiliations while these enemies of state continue to rape us.
Do you know that it costs Tax Payers N290m yearly to maintain each member of our National Assembly in a country where nothing works & 80% of Population earn below 300 Naira a day? A working day earning of a senator is more than a yearly income of a doctor; it’s more than the salary of 42 Army Gen or 48 Proff. or 70 Police commissioners or more than twice the pay of the US President or 9 times d salary of US congress men.
It’s high time the Country had a referendum on outrageous Salaries of Senators, House of Representative members and other Political office Holders.
If you are seriously against the looting of our commonwealth in Nigeria, in the name of democracy, you can let this piece go viral by sharing it with as many of your contacts and groups too!

Ganduje: 17 attempts to reconcile Kwankwaso and I failed
New Post has been published on https://www.blueprint.ng/ganduje-17-attempts-to-reconcile-kwankwaso-and-i-failed/
Ganduje: 17 attempts to reconcile Kwankwaso and I failed
Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state, has opened up on his relationship with his predecessor and erstwhile boss, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Ganduje and Kwankwaso, both of the ruling All Progressives Congress, are currently engaged in a face-off , with the governor saying he won’t allow the lawmaker to control his administration from outside.
Kwankwaso, the immediate former governor of Kano state, is the senator representing Kano Central at the National Assembly. Ganduje was Kwankwaso’s deputy when the two served two terms. Speaking to Blueprint in an exclusive interview, Governor Ganduje said some stakeholders, including governors, community and party leaders, had attempted 17 times to reconcile him with his estranged friend, but failed.
Ganduje, however, said he still has a lot of respect for his former boss, stressing, however, that he would not reconcile with him on his(former governor) own terms. He said the lawmaker has consistently evaded all reconciliatory attempts initiated by some prominent citizens and party stalwarts.
“First of all, the National Working Committee of our party and some stakeholders were invited to look into our matter. I was there and I made my case, he too made his case, and then they said, go inside the room and sort out yourselves. We met in this very house (Kano state Governor’s Lodge at Asokoro, Abuja), and the elders said, we should go and sort out ourselves.
He said he was not going. He banged the door and left, saying he was not a small boy. “There was a time some governors tried to reconcile us. They said he should come to Malam Aminu Kano House in Abuja, he said he was not coming. I said, don’t worry, that is not a problem, let’s go to him. We met him, and had a very lengthy discussion. We even shook hands, and yet there was no reconciliation. He was always abusing me. “And then one senator came and said he wanted to reconcile us.
I said I have been counting the number of attempts people have made to reconcile us, about 17 times, but to no avail. And then, he said what role can he play, and I said yes, there is a role you could play now. Go and tell him that it is even shameful for a third party to try and reconcile us, why not the two of us sit down together and iron things out.
“I said whenever I am in Abuja, we will go to his house, myself and himself will drive in a car, either he drives or I drive, because when I was a director, we used to drive around Abuja together. So, I said, tell him that when I come to Abuja, I will take him, then two of us will go around Abuja, sit and discuss and iron out our problems. Or he will come to my house, and when the sycophants aroundus see us drive together, they will leave us.
Believe you me; he said no, that he was not coming to my house. Th at man is still a senator. He said no, we are no longer friends and then I said well, good luck. “All eff orts for us to reconcile failed, and unfortunately, the problem has gotten to the local level. I did all what I could to reconcile us, but he refused. What kind of a person is he? He wants to control the government from Abuja. But till today I respect him,” the governor further explained. Ganduje said the former governor programmed his administration to fail because he allegedly set some traps for him even before he took over as governor in 2015. “After I won the elections in 2015, before handing-over, I started seeing some elements of undercuts from his body language.
He didn’t attend my swearing-in; he just handed over and left for Abuja because he had something to do. I said okay and went for the swearing-in. “First, even before handingover, he said he has paid all the contractors in Kano, but the contractors went to radio stations and said he was telling lies. You could see that he was trying to heat up the system even before handing-over.
“Some months before he left, he declared free education at all levels, knowing well that it was clearly impossible. When he said free education, the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University said okay, Kano has the highest number of students in the university, this is the fi gure, please give us the money. Because, since you declared free education, what it means is that they will not pay single kobo.
He said the VC should divide the figure into four that he will pay and the VC said no, our budget is not based on that. Students in other universities were paying, and yet he said it was free education. “And also, few weeks before he left, he was sending students in thousands abroad; some studying Chemistry, Geography, Biology, Engineering, Medicine, thousands of them.
And you know how much it is costing us so far because of the fall of the naira. He paid N4 billion on foreign scholarships. “When we calculated that, each foreign student will get N68, 000 per month. It was huge expenses considering our challenges occasioned by the drop in the pump prices of oil at the international market.
In fact, some state governments returned their students from foreign universities because they couldn’t cope, but I didn’t return anybody. I’m still paying with tears.” Continuing, the governor recalled: “Again, he took pension money and built houses that up till now, we are finding it very difficult to dispose off . We put N4.1 billion from the pension fund and the liability we have on the houses is over N3 billion. So, even if we sell the houses, we have to pay contractors.
“So, what I am trying to say is that even before handing-over, he was setting up some traps so that the government will be a failure.
He even went to my senatorial district five days before my takingover and said he was establishing Technical College of Education in one of the local governments. How can you establish a school like that without approval from the federal government, without any legislation from the state House of Assembly, without any infrastructure, no plans for teachers, no plans for equipment? Just like that, you are establishing technical college of education. All these he did so that when I come, I will find problem on the ground.
“After he left, I told the people that it was a story-telling because there is nothing on ground to establish college of education. What I discovered later is that we have a Federal College of Education (Technical). The Provost told me that Kwankwaso told him he wanted to establish college of education, and he told him not to because we are not even filling our quota in the federal college.” On the bailout from the federal government, Ganduje revealed that his former boss wrote him a letter asking him to reject the off er. “How could I have paid salary if I didn’t?
When the federal government thought we needed bailout, he wrote me a letter that I shouldn’t collect bailout, knowing that he left a liability of over N300 billion. The Transition Committee was the one that gave that fi gure and then he started quarrelling. He said why should the Transition Committee say he left a liability of over N300 billion. I told him this was released even before the handing-over. “I held a press conference and said leaving a liability is not a crime.
This government is a government of continuity and I will continue to forge ahead. But he was still pained that the Transition Committee said he left a liability of over N300 billion, but that was the fact. So, you fi nd all these kind of things which I didn’t want to bring to the open until he decided to attack me.” Ganduje said it was obvious that his predecessor wants to have overbearing influence on his administration, which he said, would have been acceptable if he was a political novice.
“The crux of the matter is that he wants to be remotecontrolling me. How can I be remote-controlled by somebody outside the government? I was a civil servant at the state level after graduation and I got to level 17 at the federal level. I have been in politics for years. I was secretary to our party in my local government, assistant secretary of our party at the state level, commissioner for six years and deputy governor for eight years.
For goodness sake, if you are talking about government, I should know what it is all about,” he said. The governor also welcomed the appointment of national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, by President Muhammadu Buhari to reconcile aggrieved members of the party. He said, however, that in as much as he is open to reconciliation with Kwankwasso, it cannot be on the terms of the former governor.
“Yes, it is possible, but the state will not be on his palms. He cannot impose his will on us. We recently conducted local government elections in the state, he went to court to stop the election, but we defeated him. He took us to a court here in Abuja to stop us, but up till now the case is on, and the court did not stop us from conducting the election.
But still there is no permanent friend or permanent enemy. We will reconcile, but he has to agree to some terms,” he said. Ganduje also dismissed remarks in some quarters that the crisis with his predecessor would affect his chances in the 2019 elections, saying only God can decide what happens in 2019.

I ask for your help to get my brother and his family out of Gaza. I really can't handle any harm happening to him, so please donate to us.

EVERY year, President Muhammadu Buhari celebrates the Muslim big Sallah, known as Eid-el-Kabir, in his Daura hometown, Katsina State with his kinsmen and well-wishers.
President Buhari, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruq, among others, observing the two rakat Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the Kofar Arewa Eid praying ground This year the tradition didn’t change.
ADVERTISING inRead invented by Teads The only difference is that it was the first time the natives would be seeing the President in flesh and blood since he returned from London where he stayed for more than 100 days receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
So controversial was the medical vacation that it was not only rumoured at some point that he was on life support, he was also said to be dead.
This created disquiet among Daura folks who comforted themselves with prayers that their kinsman will not die.
Relief came their way when Buhari returned to the country last month and decided to celebrate Sallah in Daura.
The President arrived Daura, penultimate Wednesday, in a helicopter from Katsina where he had landed in the presidential plane. On arriving Daura, his kinsmen gave him a tumultuous welcome as thousands of people waited to receive him at the helipad, hailing him as he walked to his home, a short distance away, amid tight security.
On Sallah day, penultimate Friday, natives trooped en-masse to the Kofar Arewa Eid Ground where Buhari prayed to catch a glimpse of Mr. President.
Despite the fact that security was tight at the praying ground and the natives were subjected to long queues by security agencies using sophisticated gadgets to screen them before being allowed in, they patiently waited to gain entrance.
Buhari arrived the eid ground at about 9:45 am to a standing ovation after which the two rakat prayers, led by the Chief Imam of Daura Central Mosque, Imam Salisu Rabiu, commenced and lasted two minutes.
The faithful, who were eager to see the President, ferociously waved at him and he responded by walking close to the barricaded area to wave back at the mammoth crowd as they chanted “Sai Baba”.
Earlier, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruq, who prayed alongside the President, had grabbed the microphone and, in excitement following the recovery from ill health and safe return of their son, said the natives were proud of Buhari.
He stated that God had put to shame those who were wishing him dead.
Faruq then prayed for the President to complete his remaining two years of his first term in power and another four years.
The Emir called on well-wishers not to relent in their prayer for Buhari to lead the nation to greater heights.
Buhari’s return brought relief to natives – 76 – year – old resident
A 76 – year-old Daura resident, who identified himself as Mai Anguwa Alhassan Chadi, told Sunday Vanguard, in an interview after the Sallah prayer, that Buhari remained their hero because of his pro –people nature, saying his visit had afforded the natives the opportunity to confirm he had fully recovered from his sickness.
“We are relieved to see him hale and hearty”, he said
Chadi said that, like most Daura natives, he was very sad and worried when Mr. President was away on medical vacation coupled with the raging rumour that he was dead.
“We are most happy with the return of Buhari to the country healthy and his visit to his folks for Sallah celebrations. I feel happy to the extent that, at night and sometimes till day break, I still listen to the radio to know how he is faring”, the septuagenarian said
“We were not happy when he was away on medical vacation to the UK. We were worried. But when he returned, we became happy and relieved.
“We were praying God to eliminate and destroy those wishing him dead”.
I can’t quantify my joy – Daura
Another native, 57-year-old Muhammadu Rabiu Daura, said he was excited with the return of the President and could not quantify how joyful he was.
Adnan Na Abu, who also spoke to Sunday Vanguard, described Buhari’s return to the country and visit for the celebrations as momentous.
“President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit for Sallah has electrified the whole town. Everybody is in high spirit”, Abu said.
“He made it a tradition to celebrate Sallah at home even when he was a military head of state. So it is something that has been happening for decades. But what makes this one different is seeing Mr. President in our midst after going on medical vacation and returning safely and fully recovered”.
To Ahmed Ahijdo Wali, Buhari’s visit added colour to the Eid – el – Kabir celebrations in Daura as people were jubilating that he returned safely from the UK.
“We performed the two rakat eid prayer with Mr. President and we saw him in good health”, Wali told Sunday Vanguard excitedly.
“Buhari’s visit for Sallah saw natives jubilating like never before. People were very happy. In fact, on his arrival, people in their thousands went to welcome him and so massive was the crowd that the President had to abandon his car to walk from the helipad to his house. And for the Sallah, people thronged the traditional eid ground, the Emir’s eid prayer ground, including people from Niger, just to see President Buhari. The occasion was most colourful”.
Why Nigeriens came –Kallah
The Treasurer, Buhari Youth Congress for Change, BYCC, Yawale Musa Kallah, who also spoke to Sunday Vanguard, confirmed that well-wishers from the neighbouring Niger republic joined Daura natives to celebrate the President’s full recovery from illness, safe return to Nigeria from the UK and visit to his ancestral home for Sallah, saying they also thronged the eid praying ground to catch a glimpse of Buhari.
“Daura was agog for the visit of the President for Sallah and being the first time after his medical vacation”, Kallah said.
“He arrived the eid ground to a rousing welcome and the prayer commenced immediately. After the prayer, the faithful waved to him in excitement. They chanted ‘Sai Baba’. He waved back to the mammoth crowd”.
Meanwhile, natives and well-wishers kept visiting the President in Daura.
Among the well-wishers was Governor Aminu Bello Masari who paid Sallah homage to Buhari alongside the Emir of Daura penultimate Saturday.
The Nigerien leader also visited.
The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members in Daura zone were not left out as they thronged the President’s residence to show their solidarity.
Strategic areas of Daura, including the road leading to Buhari’s residence, were decorated with the President’s posters, banners and billboard.
Buhari returned to Abuja on Wednesday.

Twenty-one senators currently receiving pensions from the government as ex-governors and deputy governors. The current senators who once served as governors are Bukola Saraki of Kwara, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano, Kabiru Gaya of Kano, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, Theodore Orji of Abia, Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa, Sam Egwu of Ebonyi, Shaaba Lafiagi of Kwara, Joshua Dariye of Plateau Jonah Jang of Plateau, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto, Ahmed Sani Yarima of Zamfara, Danjuma Goje of Gombe, Bukar Abba Ibrahim of Yobe, Adamu Aliero of Kebbi, George Akume of Benue and Isiaka Adeleke of Osun. The former deputy governors in the Senate are Ms. Biodun Olujimi of Ekiti and Enyinaya Harcourt Abaribe of Abia. Danladi Abubakar Sani served as the acting governor of Taraba state. Many former governors are also in Buhari's Cabinet as Ministers. This includes: Ngige, Fayemi, Amaechi, and Fashola (SAN).). In Akwa Ibom State, the law provides that ex-governors and deputy governors receive a pension equivalent to the salaries of the incumbent. The package also includes a new official car and a utility vehicle every four years; one personal aide; a cook, chauffeurs and security guards for the governor at a sum not exceeding N5 million per month and N2.5 million for his deputy governor. In Rivers State, the law provides 100 percent of annual basic salaries for the ex-governor and deputy, one residential house for the former governor “anywhere of his choice in Nigeria”; one residential house anywhere in Rivers for the deputy, three cars for the ex-governor every four years and two cars for the deputy every four years. It is alleged that in Lagos, a former governor will get two houses, one in Lagos and another in Abuja, estimated at N500 million in Lagos and N700 million in Abuja. He also receives six new cars to be replaced every three years; a furniture allowance of 300 percent of annual salary to be paid every two years and a N30 million pension annually for life. This is the reality for all the 21 ex-governors and deputy governors who are currently serving as senators. This same is also true of ex-governors who are now serving as Ministers. IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE...... Once you are elected a senator or appointed a minister, you must forfeit any pension accruing to you from the government at any level until you vacate office. This should also apply to senators collecting military pensions like former Senate President David Mark. Yet these senators are in the Senate that is inviting the current finance minister to discuss the recession of Nigeria's economy. A senator pockets approximately 30 million Naira monthly as salary and allowances. Our "honourables" are not interested in making laws that could restructure our country into economically autonomous federating States/Regions to save the country from sectional agitations that are threatening to destroy Nigeria. The sad and hopeless situation is that the rest of Nigerians are busy arguing based on party, ethnic and affiliations while these enemies of state continue to rape us. Do you know that it costs taxpayers 290m Naira yearly to maintain each member of our National Assembly in a country where nothing works & 80% of the population earn below 300 Naira a day? A working day earning of a senator is more than a yearly income of a doctor; it's more than the salary of 42 Army generals or 48 professors or 70 commissioners of police or more than twice the pay of the US President or 9 times the salary of US congressmen. It's high time the country had a referendum on those outrageous salaries of Senators, House of Representative members and other political office holders. *If you are seriously against the looting of our commonwealth in Nigeria, in the name of democracy, you can let this piece go viral by sharing it. Ahmed Musa Divorces Wife : Super Eagles Star Set To Wed Calabar girlfriend It is official! Super Eagles player Ahmed Musa has let go of the mother of his two kids. This came days after the footballer was accused of beating his now estranged wife, Jamila at their mansion in England. According to insiders, Musa has already done a family introduction with a Calabar babe he met at a club in Lagos. Jamila who just returned to Kano from her base in England received a house as well as a brand new Honda car as her portion of the footballer’s fortune.
