Okay okay, you all might've noticed I'm hyperfixating on 2010 Spartacus again. Here are some scattered thoughts on it, and also a desperate attempt to get my followers to watch it.

This show was so ahead of its time, guys. If this show came out today, the fandom would be insane I'm telling you. A Starz original series about slaves starting an uprising that's literally all about mostly naked men fighting and killing each other in the most brutal, bloody, hyper-masculine ways, but then also fucking each other and no one bats an eye because it's Rome? And also the main gay couple are the only characters that live at the end??? And go start a goat farm?? It's like an uno reverse bury your gays. It's a bury your straights. Bury your everyone but the gays.

Alright a decent amount of gays die as well, but not the mains!!

The fandom would be in the trenches. There would be Barca/Auctus vs Barca/Pietros ship wars. We'd be rioting over the Ashur reboot right now because it's not the nagron on their goat farm show we all wanted. I'm telling you this shit would rival Our Flag Means Death in its cultural impact.

I mean, it's also a pretty poignant show with great themes on freedom and humanity as well, but that's a whole other post.

For the anon with a metagros: I've been doing museum studies and our recent lab involved cleaning off old iron tools. One of the things we use for an extremely gentle scrub to get off rust is calcium carbonate powder, aka what is essentially baking soda.

Why do I bring it up? Well my aron is now obsessed with being "cleaned." Take a little baking soda + enough water to make it into a paste, and then dip a damp toothbrush into it to get a little bit. Then give your buddy a little scrub all over before rinsing them off. Seems to make mine feel clean, she now fetches the toothbrush whenever she's got even the littlest bit of dirt stuck somewhere she can't get it.

You'd probably have to get a big brush, maybe one of those push brooms, but your metagros may enjoy a good scrubbing, just like the donphan at the safari zone near me.

Scrubbing and cleaning are great ways to bond with a Steel-type, as they're not as "cuddly" as other 'mons (most of 'em, anyways!). That's really cute on your Aron's part, but I hope you don't plan on evolving her, or you're gonna spend 2 hours every day cleaning a metal behemoth.

As another recommendation, Shelly enjoys being scrubbed with a steelbrush on her steel parts as well; many Rock/Steel types have hard skin and they enjoy brushing against equally hard surfaces to get the dirt off 'em!
