I didn’t realize people hated Agravaine bc they interpret his sliminess as creeper-ness when this whole time I’ve just been assuming he’s a villainous gay fop who loves drama. “But he’s obsessed with Morgana” yeah a lot of gay men are obsessed with dramatic girlboss divas. It’s a whole thing. Morgana is his Lady Gaga but granted she also did not ask for that

The princes as Knights from Arthurian legends
Leon - King Arthur, brave and noble
Chevalier - Lancelot du Lac was extremely intelligent and known as the greatest fighter and swordsman of all the Knights of the Round Table
Clavis - Gawain, closest to Lancelot and because It was this rift between Lancelot and Gawain that ultimately set the stage for Mordred’s (Gilbert's) takeover of the Kingdom.
Note: at first I thought knight Meliagraunce would make a hilariously good Clavis because, oh boy, he 1. kidnapped the queen betraying Arthur 2. Lancelot was forced to come on a rescue facing an ambush and sacrificing his white horse to about 50 arrows 3. When they showed him mercy he challaned Lancelot to a duel in several days and then proceeded to drag Lancelot for a sightseeing of his castle 4. Betrayed him AGAIN when Lancelot fell in a trap pit, because of course 6. Waited for him on the day of the duel with Arthur as a witness (Lancelot showed up which Meliagraunce didn't expect) but then I thought Meliagraunce made a better "lord Flandre"
Yves - sir Gareth (Beaumains) he comes from noble blood, but would rather be known for his actions than for his illustrious lineage. He is said to be very good looking or "the goodliest man I ever say" as Arthur Leon put it. He's mild mannered and polite no matter how harshly others treated him because of his dubious lineage. Lancelot Chevalier and Gawain Clavis looked after him in their own ways and Gareth looked up to Lancelot Chevalier a lot. He was also a kitchen page for a year.
Tumblr media
Jin - sir Bedivere, loyal to Arthur til the end.
Nokto - Agravain mostly because "Agravain is known for this sharp tongue and at times his ungentlemanly-like conduct. In some instances, he is even portrayed as being malicious and villainous" but maybe Agravain should be Clavis or Silvio because he helped in Mordred's (Gilbert's) insidious plot? Then idk maybe Tristan would make a good Nokto substitute because of his knowledge in arts and his romance with Isolde, still not sure about this one. The only fact stopping me is Agravain is Gaheri' (Licht) brother while Tristan is not.
Licht - sir Gaheris, often acted as Gawain's voice of consciousness and in one version beheaded his own mother (but that's another story)
Luke - Percival, came from humble beginnings raised by his mother. He has a sister too. He's sometimes portrayed as simple and almost foolish but his natural prowess lead him to Arthur's court.
Sariel - Merlin, no explanation needed
Keith - sir Kay, also known by his epithet, the Tall. Also "At times, Sir Kay was unpredictable and had a cruel and violent temper (alter Keith), but he was Arthur’s (Leon's) guardian and one of his most faithful companions.
Gilbert - Mordred. Come on, even the name is evil. Set up the stage for King Arthur's downfall by planting the seed of jealous feelings in Arthur of the closeness of his best knight, Lancelot (Cheva), and the Queen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Emma - Guinevere, the queen, fairest of them all. Was wrongly accused of treason (twice) and sentenced to burn. Many a times did Lancelot rescue her, the last time accidentally killing Gaheris(Licht) and Gareth (Yves) because they were in the crowd and whisked Guinevere(Emma) away to the castle of Joyous Gard till the Kings anger was past. Lady of the water is an alternative

me explaining how agravaine should have been the big bad of the first season so that we couldve seen his relationship with uther and built a foundation of the pendragon du bois family dynamics and how all the Magic things that nimueh brought about Should Have still happened but everyone though it was agravaine when really it was a hidden entity the entire time helping agravaine. and then after he died in 1.13 the plot of season two shouldve been morgana realizing her magic and then figuring out in 2.13 that shes uthers daughter and how That shouldve lead to season three being morgana being a little evil and trying to learn magic from an UnKnown Source that turns out to be NIMUEH who has been engineering magic attacks and atuff against camelot from s1 from the sideline. and then morgause and nimueh are finally officially introduced mid way into season three and while morgause takes morgana under her wing nimueh tells arthur the truth about his mom in 3.13 WHICH LEADS to season four being arthur and nimueh teaming up and killing uther so that arthur gets crowned king. and then at the end of season four when magic is finally legalized after a bunch of logistics are solved merlin Tells Him about being emrys so then season five is mostly about merlin and arthur reconciling and their relationship building while camelots golden age is flourishinf in the background and

MerGana Wedding
be like
Tumblr media
they spend the wedding night sobbing and vomiting on the floor 😭
theyre The Power Couple that poisoned each other on their wedding. No one has a bond like theirs 💀
with. @wandrenowle
From the au where s5 Merlin and Morgana transmigrate to their 10 year old selves (and still retain their scars and memories).
10 year old Merlin searches for Baby Mordred to kill him. 10 year old Morgana searches for baby Mordred to protect him. Hunith goes to Gaius in Camelot to ask for his help but Gaius refuses because he is too busy babysitting Prince Arthur. Gaius gives Hunith Balinor's last known location instead.
Duke Gorlois, is surprised by Morgana's magic powers and is worried that she has disappeared from their palace especially with Uther's reforms being popular across the allied kingdoms.
Cue Hunith and Gorlois scouring the forests between Cornwall and Ascetir to find their idiot children.
Hunith, Balinor and Gorlois somehow find each other and their children in the woods. Then they all take sanctuary in Cornwall.
From the young Morgana, Gorlois is informed of Uther's and Vivienne's infidelity. Gorlois is also informed of how Uther tricked Balinor into giving up his kin's secrets. Gorlois silently cut ties with Uther Pendragon and allies himself with Balinor.
Nimueh finds out and goes to the court of Cornwall to investigate this change in political tide. Pleased with her findings, Nimueh sends a call out to the other surviving priestesses. Morgause appears with her son baby Mordred, happy to be reunited with her Sister and their father, Gorlois.
Vivienne also appears in Cornwall and tearfully admits the truth of her infidelity. She vows to pay for this by doing her best for Cornwall and its defense.
Cornwall becomes stronger with the high priestesses in its alliance. In time Ascetir (Cenred), Carleon (Queen Annis and King Carleon), Brittany (Tristan and Agravaine Du Bois), Deira (King Odin) and Mercia (King Bayard) join together with the Duke of Cornwall against Camelot's power as well. Uther's Camelot is surrounded by an alliance of powerful countries and cannot just do what it wants anymore.
s5Kid!Merlin and s5Kid!Morgana don't stop bitching and messing with each other for all the trauma they've been though. Balinor and Gorlois hate what their children became and both strive to fix it.
Among s5Kid!Merlin and s5Kid!Morgana's disputes are Merlin's unchanging sad wardrobe in their past lives. Kid!s5!Morgana saucily makes a suggestion to Gorlois to investigate in the potential of Ealdor fabric industry with Cenred of Ascetir's blessing, much to kid!s5!merlin's irritation. Morgana turns out to be right (which pisses merlin off). Ealdor becomes a booming trade center for fabric/textile. Thus Merlin is outfitted by both Gorlois and Balinor in comfortable and sturdy Ealdor clothing but in nobler and better styles.
Most importantly, the two semi-mature idiot and warfreak children get schooled by their parents and elders on their shitty extremist idealism and warped sense of ethics and politics from their past lives.
Balinor and Gorlois then decide to keep them apart to stop them from impeding each other's healing and reformation progress.
Morgana goes thru intensive and better high priestess training (with Nimueh, Morgause and Vivienne present alongside Gorlois' brand of politics and nation building.)
Meanwhile Merlin goes on sabbatical with Balinor in order to visit and live with the surviving members of different sects of magicfolk. This had to be done so that Merlin/Emrys can learn and understand their general politics, histories, ethics and values straight from the source and not just from books.
Gorlois makes Mordred his heir as Duke of Cornwall, Morgana prepares to become ambassador to Camelot as "Morgana Pendragon" and Merlin will be formally revealed as "Lord Emrys of the Druids" when he is of age.
10 years later Merlin Emrys and Morgana Pendragon, now 20, are reunited. They still hate each other but the council has unanimously decided to join them in marriage. This was done accordance with the various prophecies. Another reason for this was to solidify their position as powerful and feared diplomat-couples to Camelot and the rest of Albion.
They spend the days of their bethrothal by flirting with others while glaring daggers at each other from across the rooms, the halls and the forests.
Eventually, their handfasting goes off without a hitch... except that this is Merlin and Morgana who have still have the scars and memories from all 5 seasons. Since they transmigated to this alternate storyline, they both have an unhealthy fixation on foods and poison. These two don't trust anything until they're sure that it is not poison.
So.
in the privacy of the wedding room they make a pact to remind each other how they could easily die by the other's hands if they wanted to.
You are my destiny, You are my doom.
....................
aftermath:
Gorlois and Balinor are made aware of the pact while the two are suffering from the aftereffects 😂 Gorlois: i need the strongest wine. Our kids are insane. Balinor: ive got mushrooms too? U want some? Gorlois: sure 🤦 Mordred: i want a love like that too Morgause: please dont Nimueh: (cackling)
...........
to anyone reading this.
Merlin and Morgana settle in Perilous Land of the Fisher King. Their married sex life is intense rough and bloody and they always come out looking mauled but hey in time (maybe 30 years) they managed to produce five kids all while trying to keep albion from erupting into all out war 😅
arthurian age does actually happen coz merlin is a reformed idiot in this au. he's actually one of high status among the nobles and can watch over albion better coz of his political position. As a married couple he and his wife keep each other in check, ready to go for the kill if needed (much to their children's dread).
so! King Arthur lives long and happy with many knights. Eventually he and Duke Mordred piss each other off because of territory or an insult, Camlann still happens. They both die.
morgause goes into grief, attacks merlin and morgana's family. morgana deals killing blow. everyone tries to save morgause's body but they couldnt so it's sad.
tired of their world, merlin and morgana retire into the woods to learn more about necromancy, astrology and astronomie.

Could you talk about the “Long Live The Queen (Long Live the Monster)” wip?
[From this post of current WIPs, if anyone's curious :)]
Ahhh my Merlin fic! This is an Ygraine lives fic except she also goes batshit over magic! And a bit insane...so...
I have a lot planned out, because it starts from around the time that Uther and Ygraine met, but here's the basics:
Camelot had been in an era of civil war. Uther's father died without declaring an heir between his eldest (twin) sons and so they've been fighting. During this time, magic practise has been getting more and more difficult as people start using them as a scale goat for the civil war and then as a scape goat for anything that goes wrong, as often happens with persecuted groups throughout history.
Uther, who was younger than his brothers, won the civil war with the assistance and wisdom of the dragon lord's (and after one of both his brothers were killed). This was because the dragons had foreseen that his son would bring about the kingdom of Albion and free the people of magic from their current torment.
Having taken the throne, Uther invites all the noble houses of Camelot and the surrounding kingdoms to his coronation. Among those who come is Ygraine, representing the du Bois house for her elder brother Tristan (as Agravaine is not yet old enough and Tristan needs to stay in their lands as tensions are still too high) bringing with her her handmaid Bronwyn - who learned hedgewitch magic from her parents - and Tristan's trusted second-in-command, Captain Bedivere, who is probably having an affair with his wife.
They're attacked on the road but rescued by a young sorceress who says her name is Nimueh and that she too is travelling to Camelot for the coronation. She's the youngest of the nine priestesses and has been sent as a spy, of sorts, to see whether this man truly seems to be the sort of person to raise the king who will bring about Albion's return.
They arrive at Camelot together and go to the coronation; Ygraine and Uther meet when they are both wandering the castle at night (Ygraine because the attack on the road has rattled her and Uther because his new responsibility ways heavily on him) and they continue to make ways to see each other in between festivities before Uther asks her to stay on at the castle after the celebrations are finished.
Also on the castle: Balinor is the one who really helped Uther win the war as the main communication between the dragons and the crown, and so he is here to continue representing them and to continue to keep a firm eye on him (and Uther keeps him about because he Doesn't Trust Him).
Gorlois is the captain of the knights at this point, as one of the few people on the planet that Uther truly trusts.
Also, Gaius and Alice - they're both apprenticed to the current physician, Niamh, who is a very old woman who would have what we would call the beginnings of dementia - are there; as well as Cador, Uther's manservant and friend from throughout the war, who is an actual alcoholic and not a pretend one like Merlin.
Nimueh stays at the castle as well, both to keep an eye on the king like Balinor is doing and because she is genuinely very fond (read: probably falling in deep, unrequited love) of Ygraine. She gets the position of Court Sorcerer in Uther's court which makes her a permanent figure in the court life.
He and Ygraine are engaged to be married - and very happy about it - and during their engagement period, Uther puts out a declaration that all those practising magic must register their names and places of living; this does not help tensions as the magic people are furious because this new king was meant to start making things better and now he won't let them legally practise without registering.
Still, life goes on. Balinor spends a lot of time with Gaius and Alice because he hates court life and this is the closest he gets to a real escape; Bronwyn gets married to Cador and he cleans up his act as they start a family; Gaius and Alice are engaged to be married but are waiting until they both finish their training.
Vivienne, one of Nimueh's two blood sisters, comes to visit quite regularly and ends up married to Gorlois probably for political reasons. She then starts living in the court as well.
Ygraine and Uther are soon trying for a child but having little success; both Gaius and Alice do all the research they can but nothing works. Because of this, the king gets angry and more aggressive in his work, and there is a clear bias in his rulings against the magical people.
Vivienne and Gorlois return to Gorlois' castle during this time as Vivienne gets pregnant and wants the peace that Gorlois' own place would give him. (also because she's REALLY worried that the whole affair with Uther will be very real when her baby is born - thankfully, Morgana looks just like her)
Much like the general populace is doing, Uther's blaming magic for his personal problems. Because of this, he turns to Nimueh and asks for her help in conceiving magically.
She does her magic, against her fellow priestesses wishes, because she knows how much Ygraine wants to be a mother and she would do literally anything for her; but she doesn't tell her because she doesn't want to hurt her with the fact that she can't conceive naturally or smth.
Ygraine survives the birth! Yay!
Uther gets assassinated! Shouldn't have been oppressing people, Love.
Ygraine is distraught. She's always been a supporter of magic, mostly due to being friends with people like Bronwyn and Nimueh, but the wound inflicted on Uther was magic in nature.
This begins the purge. Ygraine is queen until Arthur is old enough to take the throne (although what that age is keeps getting older) and she uses this power for EVIL.
No but really - she never makes magic illegal but if you are found practising unregistered magic, you'll be executed, if you are registered to practise magic, your chances of being executed just shot through the roof, if you ever had someone who practised magic in your family ever, you are now a suspect in her husband's murder.
(even though, in reality, it was a one person job without a scheme at all)
Nimueh and Bronwyn, and Alice and Gaius, are protected because they are Ygraine's friends, trusted to within an inch of their lives. But there are others in the castle who are not so lucky.
Balinor is her first, chief suspect - she knows that he and Uther only grudgingly got on, and suspects that he and the dragon lords were in on it. She gets them all killed, imprisons Kilgarrah but Balinor escapes with Gaius' help. Nimueh convinces Ygraine not to go after him, saying that he would be completely gone now and won't return again.
Balinor and Hunith are married, have Merlin and then have a little girl called Ganieda about ten years later - she's just a little younger than Mordred.
The priestesses are targeted next because Ygraine thinks they are jealous that Nimueh chose her. Nimueh has to then choose between her sisters and between staying alive at Ygraine's side.
She chooses the latter and spends the next two decades growing to hate Ygraine with her whole heart for what she's doing to her people but also loving her for the person she was before. She constantly wants revenge but also wants to make sure that those she loves who are still protected stay alive.
Vivienne dies giving birth to Morgause, and Nimueh uses this as an excuse to leave the court. She visits Gorlois to help with the girls, promising to take them in if anything happens to him, and then goes to return back to the castle after a few months, as much as she hates it.
Eventually, something does happen to Gorlois, and when Morgana is 12 and Morgause 8 (and Arthur 10), the two girls come to live in the castle too.
Anyway, time rolls ever onward and Merlin is sent to the castle. Balinor is against it but Hunith tells him that Merlin's magic is too much for either of them and that Gaius and Alice (and by extension, Nimueh) are his best shot at learning to control the aspects of his magic that are just not within their knowledge.
Arthur is slightly less obnoxious because there's not so much of being raised as a macho man's man - however he is a massive mummy's boy which counteracts whatever character development not being raised by Uther gave him.
Like the first episode, Merlin rescues Arthur from the vengeful mother and gets assigned as his manservant. Some of what happens in the first series happens with Nimueh trying to get revenge on Ygraine while not revealing herself and also without killing Ygraine because her feelings are complicated.
The plot obviously won't be the same as the show but it vaguely follows the plot where it can.
The end of season 1 is Nimueh's reveal that she's kinda evil and then it's Merlin attempting to keep Arthur alive while Nimueh and Ygraine go to increasing lengths to get at each other, using everything they can.
Arthur becomes king and works very hard to make magic a part of society again. With both Nimueh and Ygraine gone by that point, there's no real antagonist against his reign other than Political Tensions and so it's Arthur and his many good friends/knights/advisors creating the kingdom of Albion with Love and Friendship.
Here's a little snippet from what I've written so far - this fic is mostly a bunch of disconnected snippets so far, so this is one of those:
The funeral is three days later.
Bronwyn stands two paces back from Ygraine – crowned Queen at her wedding, yes, but crowned ruling Queen again at her husband’s death – as she always has, holding the baby prince while her own children stand somewhere near the back with their grandparents. Thank the goddess for magic and her mother’s patience with a needle, or else none of them would have had the appropriate clothes.
Thank the goddess (although Bronwyn would never dare utter the words aloud) that Uther was the only victim that day.
Bronwyn does not know what might have happened if Uther had been the one to go through this grief, nor what might have happened if Arthur had been left parentless, nor if Uther and Ygraine had lost the child they had sacrificed so much for.
The vipers who Uther had fought for the throne some five years ago would be circling again if the throne was left empty, if there wasn’t someone showing a strong face to the crowds. If there wasn’t someone doing the job that Ygraine was doing so beautifully and with such a grace.
Still, Bronwyn had been uncertain if they would have managed a crowning so soon.
It had taken a bit of cajoling by the excellent seamstress in the castle’s employ and a little bit of magic to get Ygraine looking as if she hadn’t been through a very traumatic birth a mere few days before, and Nimueh now stands closer to the Queen than even Bronwyn as her ever-present pillar of support.
There’s the ceremony, led by Geoffrey, where the King is laid in the crypt and Ygraine is given the crown of state.
She stands on that dais for a few breathless moments, cutting a striking image of dark grief and power against the red drapery, and then she descends, sweeping out in a flurry of fabrics and skirts.
Nimueh is at her arm, and Bronwyn can barely keep up with the two of them.

OMG, so Soft™, Merlin bby, ofc they like you.
I put my vote in for Roland being Merlin's unofficial squire, bc A) just as Extra as Merlin, and B) gets many more excuses to Stab. Like, "Yes, sir, I'll stay right back here while you fight sorcerous assassin du jour and if your magic doesn't work, this dagger will."
A child learning morals from the morally dubious would be A+ content.
Merlin: Agravaine is the traitor, I'm certain of it.
Roland, immediately: I can put a viper in his sheets.
Merlin: ........as much as it pains me to say, please do not do that.
Roland: Well, okay, but if you ever change your mind, I can get one in, like, an hour.
Merlin: *deep inhale*
Also, I don't know why, but I'm picturing Roland as a girl. Like, maybe she heard about Morgause challenging Arthur or even saw the duel happen herself and was like, "Huh," and when Arthur does away with the 'nobility only' rule, she's like "Huh," and immediately goes for it. But girls still can't apply for knighthood (yet, bc gotta take baby steps with social change like that) so maybe Roland is her family name or a brother/cousin, and she just lops her hair off, steals some trousers, and falls in with the lads. She's young enough when she joins that she can pass for a boy. When they get a little older, well, by then her bros have all twigged but also know she can and will kick their asses, so they just make sure she gets tunics that are always a little too big. Bonus if legit nobody else notices this, including Merlin, and the only person who does know is Gwen, and she ain't saying a damn thing. Double Bonus if the first person to notice is Arthur, and the Squires immediately and without hesitation straight up lie to the fucking KING.
Arthur: *squinty eyes*
Arthur: Is.....is Roland......a girl?
SotRT: What? No, of course not, sire, don't let him hear you say that, you'll hurt his feelings.
Arthur: ........uh-huh.
Cue Gwen cracking tf up in the background like, "JFC, I married the biggest himbo in the Five Kingdoms, Arthur, you're lucky you're pretty."
(Also, here are my tokens of returned affection in courtship: 🌹🌸🌼🌺💐💍👑💎)
same gwen lmao
*slams hand on table* ROLAND IS ONE OF CAMELOT'S BEST SQUIRES AND YES SHE WAS INSPIRED BY MORGAUSE
she didn't really ask merlin if she could be his squire. she just started hanging around him, helping him with chores, being his lookout until a couple knights asked and she said: "uh duh, i've been his squire for three months now" "your my WHAT?!"
roland had and will cut a bitch if they threaten merlin. oh, you're glaring menacingly at the king's manservant? roland is breathing inside your walls, have fun sleeping bitch. you told merlin to count his days?? count your seconds, bitch, roland is behind you, axe poised and ready to strike--
all of agravaine's inconveniences, that's roland. ok sure, merlin said no to the snakes, but he never said no to rats! he didn't say yes either but why would you question the method to the madness? his saddle never fits right. his food is always cold. his clothes are always dirty. agravaine knows something is up, but none of his spies are able to find out who is causing all of this???
the other squires help her plan the pranks and very illegal tampering with noble goods, but he called merlin "nothing more than a chair for the king" and they are out for blood.
agravaine complains to arthur about how unruly the squires are but arthur cannot believe it. because that meant that his knights couldn't handle them, but they could and that's a slight on his men which he cannot forgive. it's one of the only things agravaine couldn't trick arthur into believing. roland later soaked agravaine's sheets with spoiled mead, serves him right!

top five morgana apologism moments… alternatively top five merlin anti hero moments
they are both my favourite little war criminals so i'll do both <3
can i just say the entirety of the tears of uther pendragon... she was literally right to do all of that and she looked good doing it... SPECIFICALLY the scene where she just hugged uther and we see the first evil little smirk... slay babygirl!!!
ACTUALLY in part two when she had that whole conversation with merlin and she was like there is no other way... this was always going to happen! she's the dragon! she's the bad guy in this play!!! she's got the script and the casting fits so she'll play her part... ok i'll stop quoting random shit now but literally conversations of all time she should've put that man's head on a spike and burned that whole place to the ground
when she tried to stab uther with the knife arthur gave her. um imagine finding out uther doesn't even have the common morality the basic traditional etiquette he pretends to maintain even as he apathetically genocides a group of people even as he made YOU hate yourself. actually he never respected your father as he told (LIED) to you he never ever will respect you as anything other than a bastard and a mistake. yeah you'd fucking kill him. of course you would.
idk exactly what we're counting as an apologism moment but something that makes ME forgive everything she has ever done ever is when she grabs merlin's wrist frantic and terrified and so so tired and he just. silently brushes her off and walks away. i mean fucking top merlin anti hero moment as well. unbearably fucked up. what's something else violent she could do. she should've gouged his eyes out and left him in the wilderness to starve. yeah
one of the only two good things in the lancelot du lac episode when she revives him but he's only a shade of his former self completely reliant on another and while he'll maintain relationships with the others they don't mean anything because they don't love him they love who he used to be. and he lives only to ruin his reputation forever when he would've been better off to everyone dead and gone. functionally dead, living past his myth, came back wrong, etc. he's only a weapon. and she just looks at him for a long long time knowing exactly what he is and what will happen. yeah 😐
oh this getting so long merlin anti-hero lightning round
getting rid of arthur's free will - i STILL cannot believe he did that
killing the magical being that told him how to save gwen in s5 for like no reason
him being just soooo mean to my buddy mordred :( the shrug. the shrug!! i literally have that gif saved on my phone just to look at sometimes. he's like if a dark gaping void were a boy who was a girl who was more like wet cement. you understand
POISONING MORGANA. WHATEVER I DON'T EVEN CARE 😐😐😐
killing agravaine and all his men and then turning around and constructing the sword in the stone myth for arthur in the same episode. because kings were not meant to drag their hems in this sort of filth. killing myself. ruining the whole story and taking control of the narrative for the worse because you loved not wisely but too well. KILLING MYSELF. that was such a fun agonised jaunt through memory lane thank u beth :)

no genuinely WHY was agravaine on morgana's side??? WHY did he choose her side over arthur's??? i'm???? i KNOW uther is responsible for ygraine and tristan's deaths but like. arthur is ygraine's son as well as uther's??? the ONLY piece of agravaine's sister left, her CHILD and he's plotting to depose and kill him? like i get that ppl want to kill arthur bc of uther a lot and in many cases it works for the show, but this is blood family not warring kingdoms or vengeful citizens. and if agravaine blames ygraine and tristan's death on arthur's birth (something arthur had no say in) why not have him mention that at some point?? like ARTHUR blames himself for causing his mother's death we HEAR him say that, the first thing he does when her spirit is summoned to him is apologise for being born, could agravaine not have been given a moment where his motivations against arthur were made clear???

According to Gaius and Geoffrey, Tristan was the only person to have used such a crest (the white phoenix) as it is never seen to have been used by Agravaine. It is still implied that the white phoenix crest was the also the crest of the House of de Bois. (x)
EXCUSE ME. HAVE I BEEN A FOOL??? HAD THE OLD MERLIN FANDOM ACCEPTED THE CREST AS A WHITE PHOENIX AND I WAS SITTING HERE FOR OVER A MONTH DEBATING BETWEEN THAT AND AN EAGLE
