Sometimes.
sometimes agere isn’t all cuddles and glitter,
sometimes it is.
sometimes agere is sad and stressful,
sometimes it’s not.
sometimes you can’t regress for months at a time,
sometimes you can.
sometimes agere is a happy place,
sometimes it’s not.
sometimes other people share experiences,
most times they don’t.
your agere is yours. doesn’t matter what someone says it should or shouldn’t be. it’s yours.

how to keep a little regressed !
——
꒰ 🩰 ꒱ call them cute pet names !
these can be whichever names you and your little have agreed on and are okay with, or you can try out a few of the ones below and see if those are a good fit, or brainstorm some ideas !
kiddo
little one
peach
sweetie
petal
gummie
angel
squishie
꒰ 🩰 ꒱ refer to yourself in third person !
idk why,, but smth abt my dada referring to himself as dada just helps me stay teenie !
꒰ 🩰 ꒱ ask your little questions !
things like “can you hold up how tinie you are on your fingies ?” and “do you want a fun coloring page to do?” can help keep your little entertained n regressed !
꒰ 🩰 ꒱ helping them with self care !
if you’re irl,, this is easier since you can help them brush their teeth or help change your little into pjs,, but if you’re long distance you can still help out ! giving your little reminders on when to brush their teeth, drink water, and do other things is a great help and motivation to take care of ourselves !
꒰ 🩰 ꒱ praising them !
telling them that you think they did such a good job and that you’re so proud of them always makes a little squeal with joy !
꒰ 🩰 ꒱ have them introduce you to their stuffies !
i lav doing this one with my cg whenever i get a new one ^_^ he likes to know all about them ! ask for their names,, how long your little has had them for,, and what their stuffie likes !

🦇Ways to help your tiny with a meltdown/breakdown🦇
🎃first, if possible, get them away from sensory input or whatever triggered them🎃
🖤provide them with comfort items, it could be a plushie, a blankie, pacis or anything🖤
🦇use grounding exercises like finding 5 things that are blue, breathing exercises or similar🦇
🎃hold them if physical touch helps them regulate and put on calm music🎃
🖤tell them a story to distract them from scary stuff going on🖤
🦇reassure them that everything is going to be okay and that their feelings are valid🦇
🎃ask them to talk about something they are interested that can take their mind off stuff🎃
🖤put on their favorite cartoon or comfort show, get them a paci, a plush and cuddles🖤
🕷️Most important of all be patient and don't pressure them to talk about what's going on, don't yell or make them feel bad for being scared🕷️

the cold is coming soon, little ones! grab your blankies, your plushies, and prepare to snuggle up! it'll be time to sip on some tea, hot milk, or hot chocolate soon. make sure to keep your plushies warm in bed with you, they don't want to go cold either. get your warm jammies out and go bundle up.

Supporting Non-Voluntary Age Regression
Non-voluntary age regression can be a challenging experience for both the little one and their caregiver. As a caregiver, it's important to provide understanding, support, and a nurturing environment for your non-voluntary regressed little.
🩹💜✨🩹💜✨🩹💜✨🩹💜✨🩹💜✨🩹💜✨
Create a Safe and Comforting Space: Establishing a safe and comforting environment is crucial for a non-voluntary regressed little. Ensure their physical surroundings are calming, free from stress triggers, and filled with familiar items that provide comfort and security. Soft blankets, stuffed animals, and soothing music can help create a peaceful atmosphere that promotes relaxation.
Offer Gentle Reassurance: Non-voluntary regression can be confusing and distressing for your little one. Offer gentle reassurance through kind words, soothing tones, and physical touch. Let them know that you are there for them, providing unwavering support and understanding. Validate their feelings and emotions, reminding them that it is okay to experience involuntary regression and that you are there to help them navigate through it.
Establish Predictable Routines: Structure and routine can provide a sense of stability for a non-voluntary regressed little. Establish predictable daily routines that include meal times, playtimes, and quiet times. Consistency in activities and schedules can help your little one feel secure and develop a sense of control amidst the involuntary regression.
Engage in Soothing Activities: Engaging in soothing activities can help distress and anxiety during non-voluntary regression episodes. Explore activities that promote relaxation and comfort, such as gentle sensory play, reading calming stories, or engaging in creative arts and crafts.
Encourage Self-expression: Non-voluntary regressed littles may have difficulty expressing their emotions and needs. Encourage them to communicate through various means, such as drawing, writing, or using visual aids. Be patient and understanding, providing gentle guidance to help them express themselves effectively.

a serious talk about pacifiers
Please, no matter what anyone says, it is not 100% safe to use pacifiers.
this isn’t just about baby pacis. I’m talking about adult size ones too.
over time your teeth will shift if you use a pacifier intensely and for a long time. They will, after prolonged use, cause your teeth to splay/ flare out as well as potentially develop an Over/ underbite. If you feel your bite feels weird after using a pacifier, it’s not all in your head.
I’m not saying these things to scare you but it’s a common misconception that if you have a fully developed mouth than it’s perfectly okay to use adult pacifiers without any repercussions and that’s just not true.
I know our pacifiers can be essential to our mental health, our regression, etc. (plus they’re super adorable) so I’m not telling you to stop using them all together (i myself, am still going to use them). I would however recommend limiting usage to 15 minutes (25 max), try your best not suck incredibly hard on it, clean them before and after every use (because bacteria), wear your retainer or Invisalign regularly if you have them, and most importantly talk to your dentist or orthodontist because everyone is different. You may not experience these issues in the way I have or at all.
Please be careful ♥

Friendly reminder you're still valid and you're not "weird" if you:
dont have/dont want a cg
wear/want to wear diapers in a sfw way
wear/want to wear a collar or tail/ears in a sfw way
dont have/want any little gear
dont use any community labels
are still figuring out your regression
you have a fully adult life outside of agere (e.g if you are sexually active, drink, work, etc)
dont fit the stereotype of the "agere aesthetic"
aren't white, skinny, neurotypical, etc.
are a boy, nonbinary, trans, etc
are lgbt+ in general
are disabled and/or mentally ill
get sad/struggle with your mental health while regressing
regress because of/to deal with trauma
your regression is yours, you know yourself, and as long as you're staying safe and not hurting anyone, no one can tell you otherwise.
Dni: lgbt+ exclusionists, r/adfems, ns/fw, e/d, s/h or discourse blogs, pr0ship, anti-agere/petre/sfw cglre or if you call people cringe because of their interests.

Agere journal prompts you can do in a digital agere journal.
when it comes to journaling, not everyone can have a physical journal, or find it hard to maintain. With that, I present digital journal prompts, simple prompts you can write the answer to in anyway you want. Personally, I like to use Waffle cus it has so many cute journal covers for free.
What's your favorite cuddly toy or stuffed animal?
Describe the coziest blanket you have.
Share a giggle-worthy moment that made you smile today.
What's your go-to comfort snack or drink?
If you could have any magical animal friend, what would it be?
What's a lullaby or comforting song that makes you feel safe?
Tell me about a bedtime story you'd like to hear tonight.
What color makes you feel the happiest and safest?
Share a simple, happy word that makes you feel warm inside.
If you had a super special playtime, what activities would you include?

Oh baby, did you get an owie? Come here so I can see. Does it hurt a lot? Just wait here for Papa, I'm going to grab some stuff that will help you feel better. Alright, this is going to sting a little bit but I need to clean your owie. I'm sorry baby, I know it hurts. Do you want to pick out the bandage? I have one with fish, a princess one, and this one with stars. That one? Good choice, baby! Alright, you're all good now. Thank you for being so brave, little one.
