Mommy… Master List
Requests & Prompt-List
#5. “Shut up and kiss me already”
Warnings: NSFW, 18+!!, smut, kissing, fingering, pet names, exhibitionist kink, etc.
Enjoy (;
Another slip up of yours and you were on the floor, pinned down beneath the brunette once more. Your breath hitched at the compromising position you were in. She chuckled, getting off you, and offering you a hand. You took it, standing up with a huff.
“Again.” Agent Carter instructed.
You nodded, as you two began sparring again. This time around, you ducked a good amount of the brunette’s jabs and even got in a one or two good hits yourself. But once again bam!, She had you on your back, this time with her foot on your chest. Your breath hitched and your eyes widened.
“Alright, That’s enough for today…” she spoke, relieving the pressure of her heel.
You sighed in relief. Once again, the brunette helped you back up.
“You are getting better, you know…” she encouraged.
“Am I…?” You joked.
“Yes, you really are.” The brunette insisted, “When S.H.I.E.L.D first assigned you to me, you were physically defenseless. Now, you are able to hold your ground for a longer amount of time.”
You blushed slightly at her praise.
God were you glad that it was only you too in the sparring room today… With the amount of reactions the brunette was pulling from you today…
“Don’t think I don’t notice your little reactions…” Agent Carter chuckled amusingly.
Her words pulled you back to reality. Your throat went dry. The brunette was now a mere inches away from you, her eyes trained intently on you.
“I… What…?” You chocked out.
She cocked her head to the side slightly, letting eyes eyes roam up and down your frame.
“I… I’m sorry the impression… that I may have given you… b-but I… I don’t—” you stuttered.
“Shut up and kiss me already…” she interrupted you.
Your eyes widened but you didn’t need to be told twice… You crashed your lips eagerly into the brunette’s. She met your fervor passionately.
“I… people… camera…! They’ll see—!!” You stammered, into the kiss.
“I don’t care…” she muttered, then going back to ravaging your lips.
“M’mmmm Agent…” you breathily moaned, as she slid her tongue into your wet cavern.
Agent Carter pulled away for a moment.
“Peggy. Call me Peggy, Darling…” she panted.
You nodded breathlessly, before Peggy smashed her lips back into yours, pushing up against one of the wooden beams in the room.
Her tongue slid into your mouth and started to explore your wet cavern, while one of her hands snaked down your training pants. You gasped as she moved your knickers to the side.
“Tell me what you want, Darling…” she purred, “I need to hear you say it.”
“I want… want your fingers inside me…” you whimpered.
“Good girl…” Peggy cooed, before sliding two of her fingers into your aching core.
Her fingers began pumping and curling inside you fast and hard. Your head was thrown back against the beam in pleasure, your eyes screwed shut tight.
“Oh GOD—!!” You moaned out.
“Not god, Darling…” the brunette chuckled, adding another finger into your slick cunt.
Her fingers curled inside you relentlessly to hit that deliciously spongey spot in your walls. Strings of whimpers and moans spewed from your lips, as the brunette worked you with ease. Your legs were trembling as she pushed you closer and closer to the edge.
“Say my name…” she lustfully purred.
“Peggy fuck!! I’m so… fuck please…!” You moaned.
“Cum for me, Love…” she cooed.
Her words sent you over edge. You clenched around the brunettes digits, and your legs were shaking. Peggy had to muffle your mouth with her other hand, your screams were so loud. Your knees suddenly buckled, and Peggy quickly pulled out of you, catching you with both of her hands. You were panting heavily
“You did so good, Darling… So good…” she gently cooed.

Jack Thompson x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Written for Fictober 2023!
Fandom: Marvel
Day 14 Prompt: "If you don't stop now-"
Summary: When Y/N is the first female agent allowed to work the night shift, side by side with Jack Thompson, Peggy and Daniel want to make sure she doesn't miss the hint.
Word Count: 1,108
Category: Fluff, Humor
Requested by @bandshirts-andbooks! This was so fun to write Babs lol, hope you enjoy!
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"Ehem."
I scribbled away at the report I was working on, completely ignoring the pointed throat-clearing from my friends on the other side of the desk. The workday was almost over, so if I could just block them out for a little longer-
"If you want to pretend to ignore us, that's fine," said Peggy, her voice light and teasing. I fought back a sigh. "Daniel and I can just have the conversation with ourselves. We know you can hear us."
I made a face, glancing up long enough to make eye contact with both of my friends before slowly and deliberately raising my hands to my ears and plugging them. Since I'd already decided to be this childish, I figured I'd go all out, so I stuck out my tongue too.
Peggy and Daniel shared a look, and then Daniel reached up and grabbed my wrist, pulling one hand away. I glared at him, ready to yank my hand back and continue ignoring them both, but he spoke lowly before I could.
"You know, if you plug your ears, we'll just have to raise our voices so you can hear us."
I narrowed my eyes at him, wordlessly threatening murder, but Daniel didn't blink as he stared back. Finally, after a minute, I sighed.
"Fine. I won't plug my ears. But it's basically five, so maybe you two should just head out. You know, get a jump start on the weekend-"
"And leave you alone with Thompson sooner?"
I turned to glare at Daniel. Like before, he didn't flinch.
"Y/N, listen," started Peggy, leaning forward and looking at me like she was being the reasonable one. "Everyone in this conversation is aware that you have feelings for Thompson. All we're trying to get you to hear is that, since Thompson actually agreed to let you work the night shift with him, making you the first female agent to work a night shift... he might return those feelings."
I sighed, long and hard, through my nose. I put up with so much from these two.
"Great. I've heard you. Now mind your own business, both of you."
"We've long ago made this our business," Peggy responded, an all too pleased smile on her face.
"Yeah, come on," continued Daniel. "I have no idea what you see in Jack, but you clearly like him a lot. And you didn't let up when you saw me and Peggy dancing around each other. So we're not letting this go, either. Not when you spend every minute he's in the room moon-eyed staring at him-"
"Daniel, if you don't stop now-"
"What's going on over here?"
Peggy, Daniel, and I all whirled around at the sound of Jack's voice next to my desk, like kids caught digging in the cookie jar.
"Nothing!" I answered quickly, before whirling back around and glaring at my two friends. "Daniel and Peggy were just saying goodbye before they left for the night."
"Well, then, goodbye. Now get out of here, you two are off the clock and I'm not paying you overtime."
Peggy and Daniel shared a loaded look that I didn't miss, and that I also doubted Jack missed. I rolled my eyes, then the three of us stood.
"You don't have to tell us twice to get us out of here," said Daniel, stretching a little as he got to his feet.
"I sure did," I muttered. He ignored me.
"You two have fun tonight," said Peggy, giving us a pointed smile as she turned away. I narrowed my eyes at her and Daniel as they linked arms and started heading for the doors of the agency together. They didn't look back once, the bastards.
"So... what was all that about?" asked Jack, turning to me the second our friends had cleared the agency doors. I huffed a laugh and turned to face him with a small smile.
"They're still trying to play matchmaker."
"They make any good points?"
I grinned. "Well, they did point out that you must like me if you let me stay to work the late shift with you. They really might be onto something there."
Jack scoffed. "For two of my best detectives they're sure oblivious sometimes."
"I'll say."
Jack and I shared a smile, and then he slowly leaned in until we were almost nose to nose, our breath mingling. His smile widened as his hand moved up to cup my face, and then he closed the rest of the distance and kissed me.
Jack and I had been together for a few months now. It had all started as we worked towards our mutual goal of setting Peggy and Daniel up, mostly so we wouldn't have to watch them exchange longing glances every day at work. In the process, he'd stopping being a dick to me, and I'd realized I actually really liked him. The rest was history.
To be fair to Peggy and Daniel's skills as agents, Jack and I had intentionally been keeping our relationship a secret from the beginning. It wasn't all that high-stakes, but we'd wanted to enjoy the beginning of our relationship without everyone in the office chiming in about it, to our faces or otherwise. We still hadn't told anybody, but our interactions had changed enough for Peggy and Daniel to pick up on the energy. They'd been hounding us both for three weeks to try to set us up, and for our part, Jack and I had just laughed when they weren't looking.
After a few long moments, Jack pulled back, both of us still with grins on our faces.
"So... we gonna tell them?"
I hummed in thought, hopping up to sit on my desk, swinging my legs a little as I fixed Jack with a mischevious smile.
"We probably should. It's gone on long enough that they should probably know."
"...But?"
"But there's still a lot of fun to be had in how we tell them. And, unless some emergency comes in that we have to deal with tonight... we've got plenty of time to figure out the best way we can think of."
"Have I mentioned lately that I love you?" he asked, leaning down to kiss my temple before taking a half step back towards his office. "Because I do."
"I love you too. Now come on, go get a notepad from your office so we can brainstorm ways to mess with our friends."
"Honey, you don't have to tell me twice."
I grinned after the swaggering form of my boyfriend, my heart singing. I really did love him. And this was gonna be fun.

Both were asleep in bed, when little 7 year old Tony walked into the bedroom and climbing into their bed.
Jason woke up first rubbing his eyes and sighed, "Bubba what you doing? We built you a new big boy bed last week.."
"Bad dream.." Said little Tony balling up his fist and getting under the covers, "..and Daddy is out."
"Oh right Momma visiting Aunt Peg for the week.."
"I'm sorry..c-can I stay?"
That moment Elizabeth woke up ruffling her nephew's bed head and yawned, "Sure, Bambino. But you wanna talk about the bad dream first?"
Tony looked down holding his teddy bear and mumbled, "I was in a dark and scary cave with a dragon..and I could not fight him, I was running but there no way to go.."
"Aww sweetie, look it's okay not every dream is gonna be a good one but you're okay. Everything is okay, you hear me?"
" I know..it's okay, b-but I was lost and scared..I did not save the princess..I fail.."
"Oh no sweetie, you didn't fail anyone. It was just a bad dream, there are no dragons here to hurt you."
"But the princess?"
"Maybe you will save her in the next dream."
Jason added with a tired smile, "Or maybe the princess already saved herself? Like auntie Lizzie or auntie Peg. And she's now waiting for you in the dream."
"Really?" Tony asked with a small smile.
"Yeah, sometimes it's the little prince that needs to go on journey to find the princess waiting for him in the end."
"Okay, I am ready to sleep now..and meet the princess."
"Out of curiosity, who was the princess?"
"Her name was Molly."
"Ohh nice name."
Elizabeth cut in with a chuckle, "Yeah very nice! Now we can please go to sleep and save the kingdom tonight in this dream?"
The boys nodded with a smile, cuddling up in bed with the lady of the house.
------
Elizabeth blowing raspberries on Tony's tummy as his giggles filled up the house with laughter. Jason was building up rocking chair in the living room and walked into the kitchen.
Jarvis was making lunch for them.
"Hey babe." He said with a smile, kissing her forehead then gave his nephew one on the cheek.
"Hi dear." She replied with a smile bouncing their nephew in her lap who giggled brightly.
It was a running gag but a sweet one calling each other pet names since the day they met. It went beyond, just them calling each other nicknames Jason called Jarvis's wife, Ana, honey and doll all the time as a term of endearment.
Tumblr media
"JJ!" Tony yelled in glee with a toothy grin, as both adults looked their eyes at his silliness.
Something that would carry on once Tony is older is that silly toothy grin of his, no matter what the situation is. Especially his giggles.
Jarvis set the table for them, as Jason rushed over to help him and cutting Elizabeth's food into smaller sizes. Ana joined them soon enough watching all of this in curiosity. However, it confused the British man, once they all sat down to eat.
"Why does Jason need to cut your food, Miss Stark?" Jarvis asked them as he ate.
"Just watch, dear." Ana added, curious knowing she will get an answer.
With Tony's booster seat resting between them. Ana grabs a glass of wine and sits next to her husband. Looking at the kid who are begin to eat but what caught Jarvis's eye was Tony’s other hand gripping Elizabeth’s left hand in a tight grip.
"Aww how adorable." Ana said with a smile eating her chicken.
"It is indeed but what exactly is happening? I might need an explanation." Jarvis questioned with a smile.
"Tony had this new habit where he only can eat if he holds Elizabeth or Maria’s hand. It started a few days ago." Jason explained chuckling as he ate.
"I don't mind it. It keeps him relaxed and allows me to make sure he's doing alright while eating." Elizabeth replied eating with her other hand.
"What happens if you remove your hand?" Ana asked, in love with the way Tony's happily eating.
Elizabeth lets go of Tony's hand and all of them looking at the youngest Stark who started fusing while chewing a piece of meat, one hand starts waving asking for his auntie’s hand.
Elizabeth just let Tony wrap his fingers with her own in the meantime as Ana chuckled and Jarvis snorted with a smile.
"Howard tried it yesterday, removing Tony's hand away from Maria and he just cried. Not pretty." Jason added chuckling.
"It was hilarious!" Elizabeth told them as she snickered, "My brother promised to let him sleep with their room last night, if he stopped. Howard was third wheeling."
------
“Will you please go to sleep now? You're a growing boy, come on please do it Uncle JJ.” Jason sighed and rubbed his own face with his palm.
“No way.” Tony runs “I wan Liz…”
“I give up.” Jason buried his face in the kid’s bed
Jason finally gets up and walks to the living room where his best girl is reading something from her notebook. Watching Tony just dive to her lap startling the woman.
“What the-?” Elizabeth jumped out of reflex “I-shouldn’t you be in bed and counting sheep?”
“I’m not sleepy.” Tony shakes his head.
“Well, I am.” Jason sighed and sat next to Elizabeth looking into her eyes hoping she understood the silent help signal, "No more kids, one is enough.."
Tumblr media
That was when Hank Pym called as Elizabeth put him on the speaker and started talking with him as she tried to put her kid to sleep.
"Lizzie is this a bad time?" Hank asked while on the phone, hearing Tony mumbling in the background and Jason's voice muttering something.
"No, Hankie it's fine. Someone's allergic to sleep just like his father, I'll pay you 500 bucks if you can get him to sleep." Elizabeth replied jokingly.
"I'll see what I can do. Do you remember the equation use for invention you and Howard were making?"
"Actually, yeah I do. The one for that android prototype? Yeah I do."
"Good because I thinking we can use for this new formula I was creating."
Both scientists go to work, talking with the equipment and possible new investments they would make that month to present to the others. Laughing and gushing about their week as well.
Jason was napping when he was accidentally smack on the shoulder due to Elizabeth's excitement how on they can improve the formula for the shrink ray.
"Ow!" He shouted softly, being woken up.
"Oh, sorry JJ. I was just, you know." She replied trying to explain with a chuckle.
"I know let me take this little guy off your hands."
"Alright."
Both expected to find Tony still awake on his auntie's lap but he nodding off as they spoke. They chuckled quietly thanking Hank's believing their science talk tired him out or something.
He picked him up as Tony's head rested on his shoulder, his eyes were trying to stay open as he mumbled, "I'm not tired...no sleepy.."
"Oh yes you are, Bubba. Very sleepy." Jason said with a soft chuckle with sighed, "Say night night."
Elizabeth stood up cupping his little face mumbling sweet nothing into his ears as Tony hummed a soft, "..night night."
"Night, my little star." She replied with a soft smile, deciding to help tuck him in.
They tucked in their little boy, turning on the recording on Maria Stark's gentle singing voice as background noise for Tony.
Moments like that, they both wished Howard and Maria were not busy sometimes but they're more than happy to raise the little guy instead.
----
As much as he is their little boy, he is Howard's son and that being said he was a little rebellious at time. Especially in his early teens and his years as an adult..
"Anthony Edward Stark, where the hell you think your going?" Elizabeth asked with her arms crossed and tapped her foot with a glare.
"Out!" Repiled Tony, who was 12 years old at this point with a classic smirk.
"It's Monday afternoon on a school night!"
"So?"
"So you're not heading out to whatever your heading off to! I don't care what it is, Friday it's another thing, I allow it. But Monday, hell no!"
"You're not dad, auntie Liz!"
"And thank god I ain't. Be lucky it ain't Peggy either, why do you want to head out anyway? To act cool with your friends?"
Tony sighed in defeat dramatically dropping the smirk and crossed his arms, "Well no shit. All my friends are doing it."
Jason stepped in after returning home from an getting supplies hearing his nephew, "Please tell you didn't just curse in front of your aunt."
"I just said 'shit'! Relax.." Tony replied with a sigh thinking of something knowing who's the softer parent, "And aunt Liz won't let me go out."
"First off no cursing at your aunt. And second, out where?"
"An party..all my friends will be there!"
"Is it on Friday?"
"Yup! It's on Friday, it's a small party."
Elizabeth scoffed, "No! It's tonight, an silly little stupid party with his friends doing god knows what. God knows if the parents will be there!"
"She's lying! She doesn't want me to have fun this week and stay stuck in this house, only invite to Rhodey or something." Tony shouted.
"Enough!" Jason yelled raising his voice, "I know she ain't lying and that you're the one who is actually lying. You know the rules Tony, no parties or anything on school night like Monday. And something tells me those kids parents don't know they're going to that party."
"B-but that's not fair! I should be allow to go." Tony yelled.
"No you shouldn't and it is fair, she’s saving you for tomorrow. She knows that something off is going on if it's on a Monday, simple as that. Doesn't that sound a little weird to you?"
"...yeah..it does."
"We will talk about this later."
A few more words were said before Tony left to the living room. Liz was pissed off and so was Jason.
He sighed and told her, "You were doing the right thing."
"I know.." She sighed, "I know. I'm just trying to protect him. Something tells me this won't be the last argument."
"Cause it won't. But we just try to lead him down the right path.."
"You got that right. Protecting him and all that.."
----
Road trips with the three of them tend to be something else. Tony always making himself known with questions, annoying them on purpose and snickering afterwards.
Tumblr media
"Where we going?" Tony asked in the backseat, playing with his jacket zipper.
"To meet Peggy and your parents in San Diego." Elizabeth replied like it was obvious with a smile.
"And why are you driving?"
"Because your uncle JJ has a bad history with driving."
Jason perked up, "I'm right here, you know?!
Tony snorted, "Okay what time we get there?"
"Midnight." Elizabeth said with sigh.
"What happens at midnight?"
"You're bedtime."
"Can I drive?"
Both shouted at the same time, "No!"
That resulted in Tony laughing at their response as both parents chuckled at his ridiculous way to make times like that a joke or two.
---
Sometimes Elizabeth tends to become a mama bear, as if she isn't already. Like when Tony started dating, Howard rolled his eyes chuckling at his sister and Maria gushed hoping her boy enjoys the dating scene.
Elizabeth on the other hand, she was so excited and sat beside Jason one afternoon while he was reading. He was reading a classic children's' book from the shelfs, 'The Giving Tree' when Elizabeth came with a grin.
"Yes my darling?" He asked looking up from the book with a laugh.
"Tony got a date!" She repiled with a smile.
"With who? I mean I'm not surprise our kid has been a cheeky little guy since the age of 3."
"You know that day Howard took Tony down to that event in Chicago? Well there was this nice girl there with her mother, Tony sneaked off to see her and now they met again due to her mother bringing her here for an clothing event. And according to Ana, he has a date."
"That's my boy. If he's not a gentleman, I'll ground him for life. Where to?"
"Ana said that caravel downtown this weekend. She was eavesdropping and I love her for it."
"Not bad for a first actually date with a girl he seems to like."
Elizabeth sigh assuming something, Jason knew that look on her face and ask her what's going on.
"I don't want to sound cheesy but he's growing up so fast, JJ! I mean where did the time go? It felt like I was helping him add 2 + 2 yesterday! Now a date? Damn..he's my baby." Elizabeth admitted with a sigh.
Jason opened his arms pulling her into an tight embrace as she was nuzzling comfortably against his neck. She pouted, it was a rare moment but she did. He chuckled rubbing her shoulder.
Tumblr media
"Aw, Lizzie, darling. He's growing up, I don't like it. Hell I would rather stop time and let him stay the way he is now. But we can't. Before we know it, he's buying his own house or deciding to buy this one off his father." Jason joked with a smile.
Elizabeth chuckled, "He might as well do that. I'm not ready for him to keep growing up, what if he doesn't want hugs from his auntie anymore? What if he grows up hating the idea of living with us? I mean it's a packed a house, i don’t blame him."
"Hahaha no, honey he won't. I think he rather have a packed house than a quieter one. And he will always need his auntie, he's your baby. Tony knows it, hell he might make you an godmother one day."
"Oh god no, don't think that far hahaha! I want him live in the moment now, before he's old and gray. I'm still gonna baby him no matter how old he is! You know that right?"
"Oh I know. And he's gonna be annoyed but love you for it. No matter what you do, you will be there to protect him and stand up for him."
"You too!"
"Oh hell yeah I will!"
---
And they are right about that. Yeah sure, Lizzie was gone under the ice for years due to a freak accident thinking she was goner. Having Jason and Tony feeling down in the dumps for some time.
But when that girl returned, her mama bird side came with her. And the man who was her right hand was more than happy about that.
"He's insane!" Liz yelled with a sigh, pointing at her nephew, "You're insane."
"Hello?! Have you met me?" Tony replied with a chuckle, "I think Pepper would love a big bunny for an anniversary slash Christmas present."
"Okay I dealt the whole 'I'm Iron Man, I can do whatever the hell I want' thing. But your Tony Stark! My Tony Stark, use that head of yours is a big bunny a good idea?"
"JJ gets you big jewelry and spoils you! I blame him for my actions, the bunny stays."
"Oh jeez. Did you at least get dinner ready?"
"Yeah it's pizza tonight. Why are you acting so uptight lately?"
Elizabeth sighed, "I've been asleep for years in ice and I come back to find you as Iron Man. A superhero. I know it's been an year now, but a part of me is still scared your gonna blow it!"
Tony chuckled pulling his auntie into a hug, "Oh Liz, it's me we're talking about. Hell, JJ is still terrified for my life. And honestly, I've already it blew it last year, in New York. I am stressed but I will be fine.."
"I know about your late night snacking and sleepless night, Tony. I'm worried about you. We all are."
"I know you are..but if anything happens, I will tell you. I promise."
~~~
Last forward to Christmas time, once the house blew up and JARVIS announces Tony's anxiety problems to everyone after arriving at the snowy side of the U.S. before shutting off.
Tumblr media
Soon enough, they're dragging themselves across the snow to find a safe house. Rei's suit is being dragged across the snow, as he decide to start helping his godfather.
Liz snaps, "Anything you want to tell me?!"
"Okay in my defense I was gonna tell you soon." Tony winced.
"When?!"
"I was gonna make you an omelette and tell you about it!"
"Oh my god!"
Jason sighed dragging the Iron Man suit with them across with snow as the night fall onto of them.
"You two knew about this?! This whole time and didn't think of telling me?!" Jason yelled.
"I thought you knew about this! Or that he told you!" Liz yelled back.
"Great, now Ma and Pops are fighting." Rei added sarcastically, "Good job, Dad!"
Tony turned look at his son, “I’m sorry, how is this my fault?”
“Isn’t everything?”
“This is unbelievable.”
----
Other times, Jason and Elizabeth would be protecting themselves or their kids presence even when the guy isn't nearby.
Such as 2014, when they were called by SHIELD when it came to Alexander Pierce wanting their signature onto the new helicarriers.
Jason was tired as he asked, "Okay Pierce, what the hell is this?"
Elizabeth was standing next to him and pressed, "Mr. Secertary, what he meant is there a reason you've asked us to come here?"
"Signature, Mr. Underwood and Miss Stark." Said Pierce holding out pens, "As well, I was hoping you ask your nephew to stop by my niece's birthday party as a favor for Nick."
"He's our nephew, not a party entertainer." Elizabeth said with a raise eyebrow.
"Unless it's for his own children, and at the moment he's not dealing with your favors." Jason added, "What's the favor you're doing for Nick?"
"That's classified information, sir." Pierce replied.
"Of course it is..you know, it was a pretty long day and I don't want to be here. Matter a fact, none of us want to be to here! So good night Alexander." Elizabeth said standing up from her chair.
Jason stood up following her, opening the door for the girl as he gave Pierce an odd look before walking out. However that didn’t stop Elizabeth Stark to get information later on that day, returning to Alexander Pierce’s office after cooling down to get any information needed.
——
Sometimes due to Jason and Elizabeth being so close to Tony, along with their godchildren they get mistaken for the actual parents. Hell, even for being a couple more than once.
Such as in the early to late 2010s, Justin Hammer once asked, “Are theses your parents, Stark? I thought they were dead..”
Tony would give an sarcastic smile and reply, “Aw Hammer, you’re jealous? Too bad not everyone was given 3 sets of parents.”
“Three?”
“Oh yeah, didn’t you hear? Or were you too busy washing yourself in that horrible 80s cologne?”
Justin scoffed, “Damn. But seriously, are they giving out set of parents for free or what?”
“No. They’re mine, you can’t have them.” Tony added with a smirk.
~~~
Tumblr media
Or when Fury called Tony and The Avengers out a few times, he will tend to bring JJ and Liz names into conversation, using the term parents. Such as in 2015, when they are all in Clint’s Barn. Also known as The Safe House.
Everyone was in the kitchen, including the teens and kids. Some were at the table such as Natasha, Bruce, Rick, Ava, Rei and Rochelle. Others were surrounding the area near the sink and fridge across from the kitchen island, such as Tony, Clint and Steve with Liane and Luna.
Clint’s wife Laura was listening in as the younger kids were wondering around.
Elizabeth was drying dishes as Jason washed them, meanwhile Fury was finishing placing some orange slices on a plate.
Nat spoke up, “You know boss, when I was hoping I saw ya, you would have more than that.”
Fury replied, “I do. I have you. Back in the day, I had eyes everything, ears everywhere else. You kids have all the things you can dream to use, Stark’s parents didn’t have much to work with beforehand but they made do. Now here we are, back on earth with nothing but our wit and our willingness to do good.”
Jason added, “Just like old times, huh? Rehashing a plan during dinner, then collaborating in the morning to figure out what can be done..”
“Ain’t that the truth. Nothing but our strength to save the world and make a difference for others.” Elizabeth commented with a grin.
Fury gave them a half smile and continued his speech, “Ultron says The Avengers are the only thing between him and his mission. And weather or not he admits it, his mission is global destruction. All this lay in the grave. So stand, out with the platinum bastard.”
Natasha winked at Rick and Rochelle before saying with a smirk, “Steve doesn’t like that kinda talk.”
Steve gave her a humorous mock glare, “You know what, Romanoff?”
The teens and young adults in the room snorted and chuckled. The group kept talking, figuring out what will they all do next, with the young members of the team chiming into the conversations.
Even Jason mentioned, “You can try Pentagon's firewall, are they open this time?”
“That could work, they are still roughly open this time and hour.” Elizabeth comments.
“Should i know why you know that?”
“I had to message the Pentagon years ago to reach an barrier of systemic risks, for SHIELD’s locating tactics. And Tony did something he wasn’t supposed to..”
“Oh god, what was it this time?”
Fury ate his orange slice answering, “You’re boy cracked into SHIELD systemic burns, but beforehand he cracked their firewall.”
“That’s something, I do think I remember he did!” He replied chuckling, “We got mysterious calls afterwards for weeks.”
Tony chimed in with a grin sounding proud and said, “I cracked the Pentagon’s firewall in high school on a dare and got a sweet deal afterwards.”
Elizabeth grinned brightly, “That’s my boy! Definitely a win in my books.”
“And me? I cracked into SHIELD firewall too multiple times.” Rei added with a sly smile, as you could hear his godfather holding back his laughter in the background.
“I love you too, kiddo!” She replied to her sarcastic godson, “Both of you are the reasons for the facility's cyber-security sub-bar.”

Kitty's Daily Pride — Day 5
prompt ; strength
pairings ; Peggy Carter x Reader
summary ; Nothing went right today, anything that could possibly go wrong, did. It's all too much and all that you want is for your girlfriend to hold you in her arms and comfort you, to promise that everything will be alright.
+ fem!reader (no pronouns but reader wears a skirt and and reader's boss is sexist so yeah)
warnings ; pet names (love, darling, & dear used endearingly by Peggy, sweet cheeks used derogatorily by reader's boss) , swearing , sexism (reader has a shitty boss) , creeps trying to look at reader in places they should not be , talk of reader being overstimulated , talk about being/feeling sick , reader is overwhelmed and freaking out , basically just a bunch of bad stuff bc reader had a shit day
genre ; hurt/comfort
word count ; 1119
A/N ; hiii !! here's some peggy comfort <3 is this somewhat inspired by me having a bad day ? yes indeed sdnkfnk , i also plan on writing more peggy comfort because i love her sm <3
do not steal, repost, or redistribute my work in any way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To put it simply, you'd had the worst day. You'd arrived late to work due to the fact that your girlfriend Peggy, who would usually wake you both up, had stayed late at her job last night and subsequently not being able to come home that night, meaning by the time you woke up you were almost an hour late and rushing out of your apartment with the overwhelming worry that you'd forgotten something.
You had. You'd forgotten half of your work uniform, so then you were showing up to your job in yes, the right shirt, but you had completely forgotten to change your bottoms and now you were wearing dark grey pants to your job as a waitress. And your boss was not happy.
He would never shut up about 'professionalism and presentation in the workplace' but really he just wanted to see his female employees in skirts and it was disgusting. You hated it but you couldn't do anything about it, you needed a job.
But sometimes, it was way too much for you to handle. The diner you work at just never stopped being overstimulating and overwhelming, it felt like a punishment for something you hadn't done.
Your hellish day didn't stop at being reprimanded by your boss for wearing the wrong uniform, and not just the wrong uniform but for wearing 'pants? I think you're a bit confused sweet cheeks'.
He forced you to wear a spare skirt from a waitress who had previously worked there, and it was not at all your size. It was dusty and torn at the seam, so every step you took you had to awkwardly pull it up to make sure it didn't fall right off you. You received weird looks all around you, and the occasional creep watching you carefully, waiting for your skirt to slip so they could see your exposed skin. You felt fucking sick.
And then every customer at the diner seemed to decide that today was the day they all turn against you, and make sure they were the rudest and most impatient people that is humanly possible, and push you to the edge knowing that you couldn't react for the sake of your job.
You'd had enough when you'd finally left your job, making your way home, and realised when in the rush of leaving for work this morning, you'd locked your apartment keys inside your apartment. Which in the grand scheme of things should not have been the mental blow it was, yeah maybe a bit of a panic before realising your girlfriend also had a key, and that'd be it. But no, today had been terrible. It had been so trying on you mentally and this, of all things, had been your last straw.
So now you found yourself sliding your back down the wooden door of your locked apartment, tears pouring out as you pull your knees up and hide your face.
You hate your habit of waking up late no matter how hard you try to change your sleep schedule in a way that would benefit you.
You hate your boss for being so backwards and idiotic.
You hate the customers at the diner for being so disgusting and rude.
You hate yourself for forgetting to get your key out of your apartment before you locked it in there.
But most of all, you miss your girlfriend and you hate how long it's been since you've last seen her.
You don't know how long you've been sat here, head between your legs, not even trying to calm down, just crying and crying and crying. You don't know if people have seen you sobbing in the hallway, and quickly turned the other way, or how many people have walked past you as quietly and rapidly as possible to get past and away from the weeping girl on the second floor of an apartment complex...
"Y/n!? Darling is that you??"
Your body immediately freezes at the familiar voice and hurried footsteps nearing your trembling figure.
"Oh love, oh dear c'mere, what happened?" Peggy asks you, bending down to rest the balls of her feet as she rests her palms on your shaking knees, her heart breaking as she takes in the view of you, broken and crying at the door of your shared apartment.
You try to slow your ragged breathing to answer your girlfriend, but all that comes out is a strangled whine, and Peggy's heart breaks impossibly more.
"Oh love, it's okay, i'm here," Peggy comfort you as she moves to sit next to you, pulling you to her chest and soothingly rubbing your back.
"It's okay dear, I'm here," Peggy whispers comforting things to you as you wrap your arms around her, she tells you about something funny she overheard about a co-worker, a memory of when she was a kid, she tells you anything sweet and funny that comes to mind, no matter how small.
She tells you about how her least favourite smell is that of strawberries, for no discernible reason other than the fact that it is far too sweet of a scent, and that 'really, strawberries taste nice so they already have that going for them, but then they also smell sweet? I don't trust it, no one needs that much going for them', which makes you giggle at your girlfriend, looking up from where you head is buried in her chest, to see your beautiful Peggy smiling down at you, love and adoration flooding her soft eyes.
"Thank you, Peg," you whisper, as she moves her sleeve to gently wipe stray tears off your cheeks.
"Of course love, I'm always here for you, okay?"
You let out a deep breath and nod your head, "Yeah.. Peg, I love you, ya'know?"
"I love you too Y/n," Peggy grins softly at you.
After a moment of you two just enjoying being in each other's presence, Peggy speaks up.
"Ok well, I don't know about you but it is so bloody cold out here," She laughs, starting to stretch her arms, "How about we head in, yeah?"
"Yeah, it is pretty cold," You smile at your girlfriend as she helps you stand up on shaky legs, still holding your hand as she goes to unlock the apartment door.
Smiling as the two of you walk into your shared apartment, you watch your beautiful girlfriend as she grabs her bag and carries it in with her, heels clicking along the wooden floor boards. You can't help but feel like everything is and will be okay, because as long as you have Peggy, the love of your life by your side, everything will work out.

Just Another Stray
Dottie Underwood/Fem!Reader
Fictober Day 16 of 31
Words: 976
Summary: When your girlfriend brings home a stray kitten, you can’t help but fall in love with it.
Dottie Underwood Masterlist
Tumblr media
It was not uncommon for your apartment to be filled with stray animals at any given time, you worked as a veterinarian - of course you were going to bring in animals from the street. Usually though, you were the one actually finding the animals, and your girlfriend had to deal with the fact that she occasionally shared an apartment with mangy and malnourished cats and dogs.
So when you walked into the living room one day after work to see a black cat sitting on the couch like their name was on the lease (and you hadn’t been the one to welcome that cat into the house), you were understandably a bit confused. It definitely looked a bit worse for wear, far skinnier than healthy cats should be, with tangled fur and what looked like a small bite taken out of its ear. Thankfully you didn’t seem to notice any violent tendencies (or at least it hadn’t started attacking you yet) and your heart immediately broke for the pain and struggle that this animal must have been through living on the streets.
A bed sheet had been laid over the upholstery, which was a good move because you never know what a stray animal could be carrying, and it’s yellow eyes stared unblinkingly at you, as if questioning what you were doing in its house. “Dottie?” you called out, hoping that your girlfriend would be home to answer your many questions.
“Yes?” she called back.
“Not that I’m complaining, but why is there a cat on the couch?”
Dottie didn’t respond for a moment, but when she appeared in your line of sight she had an apologetic look on her face. “It came up to me today and wouldn’t leave me alone. I thought you could look at it, if that’s okay.”
You nodded as you took a pair of gloves out of your bag and took a few steps closer to the cat, tentatively reaching out in its direction. The fixed stare did not go away, and thankfully it didn’t seem to move into a defensive or attack position, so you guessed that wherever this cat came from, they had some level of comfort around humans. “Hi honey,” you said, the saccharine voice you often used to talk to the animals slipping out almost instantly. Dottie always teased you about it, saying that they didn’t really understand what you were saying, but you maintained that intonation was incredibly important when talking to any kind of creature, and even if you slipped into what others called “baby talk,” it helped them feel more at ease.
The cat let out a soft meow as you gently pet its head, and you gently picked up the animal and lifted it in the air. Once it was established that this particular cat was a girl, you checked for broken bones and other injuries and did as much of a checkup as you could in the middle of your living room.
Dottie watched the entire process intently, fascinated by the way you gently handled the cat. You didn’t know too many details about your girlfriend’s past, but you knew that it was often harsh and cruel, so something like showing kindness to animals, which for you was a simple and immediate act, was something strange and foreign to her. You loved your girlfriend, but it seemed sometimes like she was a bit of a stray herself, always evading your attempts to get her to open up and talk to you about more sensitive topics.
You knew of her skillset (and you weren’t blind to the fact that she sometimes disappeared for a day or two and returned with a lot of cash in her purse and some blood on her clothes), and you genuinely didn’t care. Of course you wanted to encourage more ahem, legal, hobbies and pastimes, but at this point in your life it didn’t matter. You were already breaking the law due to the very nature of your relationship with her, something that if discovered would ruin both your veterinary practice and your life, so there was a part of you that simply didn’t want to know what she got up to this way you wouldn’t have to care.
“What are we going to name her?” she asked, pulling you back from your thoughts. “I was thinking Shadow had a nice ring to it.”
“What do you mean?” you asked. “We don’t name the animals that come in at the shelter.”
“Yeah, but I was thinking that she could be ours,” Dottie said. “Because I found her, and it doesn’t seem like she’s anyone’s pet.” The cat, who at this point was still in your arms, gave a loud purr at your girlfriend’s words. “See? She agrees with me.”
You couldn’t help the laughter that came bubbling out of you, and you knew you couldn’t say no. “How about I take her into work tomorrow and get her checked out better?” you asked. “And we’ll see if anyone contacts us about a missing cat that matches her description. If no one comes forward, we can think about adopting her.”
Shadow jumped down from your arms as you spoke, apparently having decided that she had enough of your examination. Dottie’s face held a grumpy expression, and you walked over to her and pulled her into a hug. “I really want to keep her,” she said softly.
“Me too,” was your response. “Hopefully there won’t be any problems tomorrow at work, but I also can’t keep every stray either of us come across.”
“Why not?” she asked, a playful twinkle in her eye. “You kept me, didn’t you?”
“You’re a special case,” you said, leaning in to place a soft kiss on her lips.
You could feel her smile into the kiss. “I guess I can’t argue with that.”

i have an idea for some headcanons for your celebration, with the Love of My Life Peggy Carter!!
🍋 : where the reader is a suspect on a case (but is actually innocent) and peggy shows up suddenly after the case is over and asks them out :)
yes!! love it <3 and u!!!
your leg was bouncing up and down in anticipation
your mouth felt hella dry as you waited for the results of your hearing
Peggy knew that with the amount of anxiety you were feeling, you definitely didn’t hear the judge’s rule
so Peggy had you come into her office so she could explain to you what was going on
and wow, you were practically bouncing off the walls
she quietly opens her office door before sitting down in a chair next to yours
all while you’re chewing on your nails
“Listen, agent Carter—”
“Peggy.”
your head snaps up, “what?”
if you hasn’t stared at her very pretty face, you would’ve missed her bashful expression
“Call me, um, Peggy.”
you smile, “well, Peggy, give it to me straight. I can’t take it.”
the bright red lipstick that u definitely didn’t wanna smear with ur own lips on her lips was slightly faded, “it’s great news, love, you’ve been proven innocent.”
your mouth gaped, “wait what?”
before she could even respond, you crash into her with a bone-crushing hug
she swore her stomach bubbled with warmth
she wrapped her arms around yours and she really, really hoped it wouldn’t end
spending hours upon hours with you while she helped get evidence of your innocence made her have feelings
deep feelings for you
“I would do anything you ask” kind of feelings
you pulled away rather shyly because holy shit!! you just hugged peggy carter
you got your things and was preparing to leave, one hand on the doorknob
“hey, um,” you whipped around to see Peggy look extremely nervous, “would you like to go to the movies sometime?”
Peggy’s eyes were wide because if she fucked up, thing would be bad
she was hoping you’d be her “roomate that shares the same bed” but it was still an entire shot in the dark
but then your smile got so wide, Peggy’s heart fluttered
“I’d like that, carter.”
and then you left, walking out the door and out of her office
she was about to call after you for your phone number, but then saw a piece of paper crumbled in her pocket
she smiled, when had you done that?
sure enough, your number was sprawled across the paper

Welcome to Earth-6677!
Do you want Agent Carter Season 3, or something close to it? Do you want that story to be a fanfic with various connecting fics taking inspiration from other Golden Age Marvel Heroes? Do you want stories that take place within the MCU, but are also a set-up for a soft reboot of the parts the authors don't like? You want gay shit? Then this project might just be for you.
Earth-6677 is a fanfiction project begun by @crash476, with assistance from @sparkyyoungupstart. Beginning as an idea of what happened to Peggy Carter's brother Michael, we have expanded it into a shared universe that slowly unveils a new history of the world that ties in both Marvel Comics, the MCU, and actual historical events.
Currently our focus is on the events of WWII and the post-war period of Agent Carter. Our main cast members are Michael Carter and an OC, Emily Gower, though we've combined them with elements of the comics characters Brian Falsworth (Union Jack) and Jacqueline Falsworth (Spitfire). So far a majority of our tales have focused on The Invaders, a team that in the comics punched Axis forces and starred Captain America, Namor, and the original Human Torch. They're not in our cast, but we hope the characters we did put in keep the same flavour.
We have hopes and plans to let the repercussions of our characters (and our own disappointments with several modern projects) echo throughout the timeline and into modern day - accompanied of course with more stories as long as we can find the time for them. For now, though, here's a rundown on what fics we have so far.
The Invaders series, focusing on the Golden Age (and in publishing order):
Death in the Golden Hour, a combination prologue and Flash Forward one-shot taking place immediately after the attack on Jack Thompson in the final moments of Agent Carter.
Sixes and Sevens, the story of Michael Carter's death being covered up during World War II. The Special Operations Executive see a golden opportunity, Carter is given a new identity - Brian Falsworth - and he's sent to join Operation Meridian, the British equivalent of Project Rebirth. When Dr. Erskine is assassinated in America, Major "Falsworth" is sent on a mission through the Middle East to track down an old colleague of Dr. Erskine's in the hopes that Britain can get their own super soldier. Joined by Emily Gower, the two must evade Nazis, HYDRA agents, and local governments in order to secure an advantage for the Allied forces.
Upon the Chaos Dark, a one-shot showing Roger Aubrey being captured and experimented on by Daniel Whitehall.
Shadow of the Eagle, where Carter's team embarks on a mission to destroy a U-Boat station in Greece, only to encounter several figures from his past.
Radio Chatter, a collection for various one-shots.
The Haunting of Villa Layla, where the members of the Fidonisi party regroup with their friends and share stories from their pasts.
Agent Carter: Phantom Pain, the point at which the story catches up to the prologue. Peggy and company must deal with Thompson's death, Dottie's return, the looming shutdown of the SSR, and Michael's return.
There is a House in the Mountains, where a contingent of Invaders are sent to rescue a spy on the inside of HYDRA.
Headfirst Slide into Latveria on a Bad Bet, where the other half of the Invaders go to Latveria to help a young Victor von Doom liberate his country.
We also have a TV Tropes page here; we've been updating it ourselves but our hope is that it can become self-sustaining if the series gets popular enough. After all, the more people who engage with our work the better our motivation to write more of it! So please, read and enjoy!

i made myself cry editing this one so i think it deserves some appreciation :’)
based off peggy’s line in season 1 when she says “i seem to have a habit of losing people closest to me. no, losing is too nice of a word. i get them killed.” (something to that effect, i don’t remember completely.)
there’s a lot more i could add, but i was focused mainly on her romantic relationships in this just to make myself as sad as possible lol

peggysous week is back!!
while i wasn’t originally going to run it this year due to the ongoing agent carter bingo, i managed to find a way to blend the two events so that people can do this event alongside agent carter bingo if they’d like (which i’ll explain a little farther down on this post)
first, here’s the basic information:
peggysous week 2022 will be held from sunday, july 31st to saturday, august 6th. it’s the same calendar week as the last two years i’ve run it, but it just dips into july this time.
here is the link for this year’s ao3 collection
when you post, please tag this blog so i can reblog it!! you can use the tag #peggysous week 2022 as a backup but it’s way easier for me to keep track of where i need to reblog things if you just tag me
each day is going to have a corresponding bingo board of 16 prompts to choose from, but if you are participating in agent carter bingo and you would like to use your own bingo board as prompts that it totally fine! the bingo boards are all labeled by day (and each day’s background is different)
rules and prompts under the cut!!
rules:
please make sure that peggy/daniel is the primary pairing of the work. an unhappy ending on a fic is okay, but not if that unhappy ending centers around another ship (because then it wouldn’t be a peggysous fic)
please be respectful of other ships and characters
if you are using your own agent carter bingo board for prompts, you can choose to post whenever you’d like during the week, but if you happen to have an open prompt that matches one of the daily bingo boards, i just ask that you post that fic/art on the corresponding day (if you choose to use that prompt)
you are more than welcome to combine a prompt from your personal bingo board with a prompt from any of the daily boards :)
you’re also more than welcome to combine several prompts from the same day if you’d like!
no word minimum/maximum for fanfic, no stipulations or anything for art
NSFW content is allowed, but please tag all warnings and place it all under a cut. same goes for other trigger warnings.
please mark which prompt(s) that you’re using for each post, and labeling everything by day would make things much easier for me.
content no-nos: non/dub con, incest, underage characters in smut, character/ship bashing
daily bingo boards:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(day seven is technically a free day, but i know sometimes it’s easier to use a prompt to get started, so i included a few for people to use if they’d like.)
i think that’s it! if you have any questions please feel free to reach out and ask!! messages/asks would be preferable because this is just a sideblog, but if you reply to this post and i need to respond it will come from my primary blog @fandomsandxfiles

A Reverse Steve Rogers
Jack Thompson x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Taglist
Requested by @hawaiianpizzaenjoyer !! Thanks for the request, and for being so patient while I got it done! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it!
Fandom: Marvel
Summary: Y/N, an Avenger, friend of Tony Stark, and the one who helped Steve Rogers adjust to the 21st century after he came out of the ice, gets flung back into the 1940s when something goes wrong on a training mission. She has no idea how long her stay in the 40s might be, but one way or another, it's going to be interesting.
Word Count: 4,684
Category: Fluff, Humor
A/N: This doesn't follow any of the season 2 timeline lol, just some vague stuff put together for the sake of this story.
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"We could always just find another ticket for her and make up a reason for her to be there on her own..."
"Yeah? Like what? At this event, anybody with the slightest hole in their story is gonna stick out like a sore thumb.”
I looked between Peggy Carter and Daniel Sousa as they talked, frantically trying to figure out what to do with me tonight. They were currently in the middle of breaking up a secret society in Los Angeles, and they had a mission disguised as a date tonight where they'd be infiltrating a fancy party being thrown by said society.
Unfortunately for them, I'd landed in their laps (pretty literally) this afternoon, and accidentally thrown a wrench into their whole operation.
One minute, I'd been doing a training mission with the Avengers. The next, I'd been falling on top of  a desk in the SSR in 1947. I still didn't know exactly what had thrown me back in time, but no matter what the cause, the fact didn't change that I was here, and would be for the foreseeable future.
I'd almost had a heart attack when I'd looked up to see THE Peggy Carter, founder of SHIELD and total badass, standing in front of me. I think I freaked her and Daniel out a little by fangirling the minute I got up off the floor, but a stranger landing in the middle of their super high-level organization probably would've landed me in the interrogation room anyway.
Thankfully, I knew Steve Rogers pretty well, and so did Peggy. I'd mentioned his name briefly when trying to explain how I knew who she was, but then I'd been able to use what I knew about Steve and the stories he'd shared with me to convince her I was telling the truth about time travel.
Since then, we'd done some brief introductions and I'd been let out of the interrogation room. I'd been given the bare minimum details of the mission to understand the conversation, and now I sat on the edge of a desk watching Daniel and Peggy talk as they tried to adjust their plans.
"Perhaps Mr. Jarvis would be available on short notice to take her as a date..." mused Peggy.
"Whoa, Jarvis? Oh my gosh, the real person Jarvis is alive and walking around right now. That makes sense," I said, mostly talking to myself.
"That still doesn't solve the problem of them not being on the guest list," continued Daniel, he and Peggy only briefly glancing my way at the outburst.
"Maybe Howard could help us secure another two."
"He already wore out his welcome with these guys to get you in there the first time."
"Did you just say Howard? As in Howard Stark?"
Peggy and Daniel groaned in unison.
"Don't tell me you're a big fan of him too?" groaned Daniel.
"His ego's already big enough as it is," Peggy agreed.
"No, it's not that, I- uh... nevermind." I pushed off the desk, waving off thoughts of Tony. I still wasn't clear on how this time travel stuff worked, and I didn't want to go telling people about Howard Stark's currently nonexistent son without more assurance it wouldn't have any crazy impact first. "Look, you guys clearly don't have space for me in this mission. The best path is a small team, specifically a couple, who can enjoy the night like a regular date while still gathering intel and handling the mission."
Peggy and Daniel shared a look, and I could see an entire conversation passing between them. I continued.
"I might not know much about the forties, but I'm still a capable adult. I'm an Av- I was on a team with Steve to take on missions around the world. I'll be fine handling myself for a bit while you guys take care of business."
"Are you sure?" asked Peggy with a frown.
"We don't want to completely abandon you. Disappearing from your own time and reappearing in another can't be easy," added Daniel.
I gave them a faint smile, momentarily overwhelmed with memories. I'd first met Steve when he'd shown up in the future and needed someone to help him adjust. I'd been a SHIELD agent at the time, responsible for liaising with Tony Stark, so they figured helping a living legend adjust would be nothing compared to that.
They'd been right, and we'd hit it off the bat. When Tony eventually formed the team, I'd been on the roster. And now, I was the one being faced with adjusting to another time.
"It's not easy," I said to Daniel, the smile still on my face. "But I also don't need babysitters when those babysitters have important, world-saving duties to attend to. I actually have a little bit of an advantage, going back in time. I took history classes and whatnot, so I at least have some idea of how this world works."
"Well, if you're sure-"
"Alright! Sousa, Marge, fear not! The cavalry is here."
I turned at the sound of a new voice, but not before I caught Peggy and Daniel rolling their eyes so far back into their heads I couldn't see the pupils. A tall, blond man in a suit was striding across the room towards us, and a second after I started sizing him up he noticed me and did the same.
"Who's this?" he asked, coming to a stop in front of us. Peggy and Daniel didn't answer right away, apparently working together to gather mental strength before entering the conversation with this guy. I just leaned back a bit against the desk and watched.
Peggy and Daniel took a second to make significant eye contact, then sighed as one. Daniel turned to Jack, and Peggy subtly shifted closer to me.
"She's somebody who does a job like ours, but from the future," said Daniel. Jack just stared at him for a minute, then looked to me, and then back at Daniel.
"Sousa, despite what you might think, I'm not stupid."
"Jack, I get that it's hard to believe, but if you actually listen for two seconds-"
Jack huffed and crossed his arms while Daniel kept talking. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught Peggy leaning in towards me, and I blocked out the boys' argument as she whispered to me.
"Y/N, I have a favor to ask of you."
"Hit me," I whispered back. Peggy sighed.
"Jack has recently had a moral epiphany," she started. I took half a second to give her a curious glance, and she just rolled her eyes in response. "It's been mostly nice, both to have him on our side and to finally have him respecting me and Daniel and anyone that's not an older man already in power.
"That said, we don't have space for him on this mission. All he's going to do is be a nuisance, and he's far less likely to agree to being benched than you."
"And I take it you have a solution for this?"
"Yes. But it would require throwing you under the bus to keep him occupied tonight."
I paused for a second, giving Jack another good look. He and Sousa were still in the middle of a heated argument while Sousa tried to convince him I was actually a time traveler, and even though they both seemed exasperated, Jack also seemed to be enjoying the back and forth. A smile tugged at the corner of my mouth.
"Peggy Carter, it would be an absolute honor to assist you on a mission," I said, turning to her with a smile. "Even if it means spending the evening learning about the forties from a slightly questionable teacher."
"You're a lifesaver," she said, giving me a smile back. She pushed off the desk, moving towards Daniel and Jack to interrupt them but shooting me a wink first. "And don't worry, I'll give you an actual introduction to the decade after this mission is over."
I nodded, then Peggy got Jack and Daniel's attention to put their argument to rest and explain the situation. Jack raised an eyebrow when Peggy told him his job would be keeping me company, but she phrased it well enough that it didn't quite sound like babysitting for either of us. Finally, he agreed, and Peggy and Daniel headed out for their event, leaving me and Jack Thompson alone in the bullpen of the LA SSR.
He stood by the windows, staring out at the traffic below as I spun around in a swivel chair. I kept looking at him, but he didn't look over at me once, at least not that I could catch. Finally, after a few more rotations, I huffed a sigh and pushed myself up. I put my hands on my hips, but Jack still didn't look over.
"Alright, I'm bored out of my mind, which should not be a possibility less than three hours after I suddenly appeared in a different time period," I said. Jack finally looked over at me, raising an unimpressed eyebrow as he did. I continued. "You're supposed to be helping me adjust to this place, since I don't know how long I'm gonna be here. Believe it or not, it didn't take me that long to adjust to this office."
He sighed heavily, but stepped away from the window anyway, stopping a few feet in front of me with his arms across his chest. He stared at me for a few seconds without saying anything, and I just stared right back. I crossed my arms to mirror him and he snorted and rolled his eyes.
"You're really from the future?" he finally asked.
"Did the twenty minutes Peggy and Daniel spent convincing you not settle this matter?"
He grunted, then finally dropped his arms back to his sides.
"Fine. What do you want to do then?"
I grinned. "Any good places to grab a drink and a dance around here?”
****************
"This is only my first week in LA, so if this place ends up being terrible, it's the city's fault and not mine," said Jack as we stepped out of the cab together. I'd taken a second to find a dress to steal from Peggy's emergency disguise stash at the SSR, since my 21st century mission clothes would probably cause a riot if I went out in them, and then Jack and I had jumped in a cab to a spot in town he'd heard about.
"Boooo," I teased as he paid the driver and we headed in together. "You can't consider the possibility of the night being a failure before it's even started! It's a jinx."
"A jinx?"
"Yeah, you know. Like bad luck."
"I know the definition of the word jinx," he scoffed. "I just think it's ridiculous you believe in them."
"Oh, yeah, of course. Actually, I didn't want to tell Peggy and Daniel this, but in the future we've discovered that a lot of things people dismissed as superstitions or bad luck are actually true. Like jinxes. Oh, and breaking a mirror? That actually will mess you up! We didn't realize it until science advanced a little further, I think in the seventies, but it's true."
Jack stared at me for a few seconds, and I stared back with a perfectly neutral expression on my face. Then, he broke into a grin and nudged me with his shoulder.
"You're messing with me."
"I definitely am."
He scoffed and shook his head, but the smile didn't drop off his face. He sighed dramatically, looking up at the club in front of us, then held out his arm for me to take.
"C'mon. You're the one who wanted to experience the time period."
I smiled up at him, then looped my arm through his. He pulled me a little closer, and I'd be lying if I said my heart didn't speed up a bit as we walked into the club together.
Immediately I got hit with the music I associated with the swinging jazz of the 1940s as we stepped into a world of men in suits and women in old-style dresses, all twirling across the dancefloor together.
"Whoa," I breathed. Suddenly, it started to sink in that I was actually in the 1940s, more than 80 years from everything and everyone I knew. A new surge of sympathy for Steve welled up in my chest.
"You alright?" asked Jack, nudging me a little as we stood in the doorway. I took a deep breath in and out, then slowly nodded. "Okay, good. Let's go get a drink.”
I huffed a laugh as he pulled me through the crowd and towards the bar. We managed to find two stools, and Jack pulled my seat out for me before I sat down. I couldn't help giving him a slightly bemused look, which he grunted about as he took the seat next to me.
"What?" he asked.
"Nothing," I said, waving him off. "Just, you know... forties."
He turned to stare at me, his eyebrows knit together, but the bartender appeared before he could question what I was talking about.
"What can I get the two of you?" asked the bartender. Jack turned to me, letting me go first.
"I'll have an old fashioned, please."
Both he and Jack looked at me for a second, but I looked right back at both of them like they were crazy for questioning it (because they were). After a second, Jack shrugged and turned back to the bartender.
"I'll do the same."
The bartender nodded, then moved away to make the drinks. I turned and gave Jack a smile.
"Thanks for buying," I said. "I didn't have my wallet on me when I got sucked back in time, and even if I did, I don't think the bartender would be able to accept the kind of bills I carry. I'm not trying to get arrested for counterfeiting a few hours into being in the past."
Jack chuckled. "Sure thing. So, an old fashion, huh?"
"Yeah. It's Ton- uh, it's my friend's favorite drink. He got me drinking them, too."
"Hm. Future sounds like a wild place."
"Honestly, I'd say 1940 is a little wilder."
The bartender set down our drinks, and Jack put a few bills on the table. Then, once he was out of earshot again, I turned to Jack with a smile.
"Cheers," I said, raising my glass in toast. "To new experiences and getting to know each other and this weird ass trip back to the past."
Jack smiled, although I could tell he was fighting it, and clinked his glass with mine before we both took a sip.
"So, Jack Thompson... tell me about the forties."
Jack and I spent the next hour talking about everything from foods that hadn't been invented yet (ranch dressing!) to the weird, national popularity of baseball and how I couldn't wait to see people start getting the memo about the NBA. Some of it was informative, even helpful, but for the most part we just... talked. Laughed. Joked around and enjoyed each other's company like people who'd known each other much longer than a few hours.
For some reason, it just felt easy. Going into this, heading out with someone who was clearly a confident, if not arrogant, man from the 1940s, with Peggy's warnings on top of everything else? Well, let's just say I didn't have the highest of hopes. But by some miracle, whether it was our equally loud and teasing personalities or that fact that I proudly didn't know anything about baseball beyond the fact that games took way too long, rather than the ignorance or indifference he had been expecting... Jack Thompson and I got on like wildfire.
"I'm just saying, when you're watching a legend play, that's the only part of the game that matters!" Jack continued, defending his baseball stance. "And DiMaggio's a legend."
"Yeah, no shit," I scoffed, rolling my eyes to go with it. Jack snorted at my language, but I caught him grinning at me all the same as he took a sip from his drink. "But, unlike in other sports, your legend's only playing for like fifteen minutes out of every hour. Still boring!"
Jack opened his mouth, clearly ready with some other comeback that would do absolutely nothing to change my position, but before he could, the band started up with something I actually recognized.
"Oh my God!" I cried, setting down the now-empty glass that previously held my second old fashioned. "This song- we have to go dance!"
"You know this song?" asked Jack, only looking slightly bemused as he set down his glass and I dragged him towards the dance floor.
"Yeah. Steve plays it all. The damned. Time," I said, finally coming to a stop in the middle of the floor. I moved to drop Jack's hand now that I'd gotten him out here, but he just squeezed it tighter and pulled me closer. "It's one of the only songs from the forties he plays that I can actually stand."
Jack scoffed, wrapping an arm around my waist as we started twirling across the floor together. "You're actually friends with him? Sousa wasn't making that whole thing up?"
"What? No. Actually, I'm the one that helped him adjust to the future not long after he woke up in my time."
Jack nodded, looking thoughtful. "So that's why you recognized Carter? Sousa said you almost fainted from excitement when you first saw her."
"No. I mean, sort of, I guess. But I would've known her even without Steve. She's only the coolest, most badass woman and intelligence pioneer the world has ever known," I said. Jack snorted, and I scowled. "What? You disagree?"
He shrugged. "I mean, I'd probably argue there are some other intelligence pioneers that deserve mention. But... I guess no, I don't necessarily disagree. Just don't mention it to her, alright? I'll deny it, and I don't need her immortalization from a time traveler being thrown in my face every time I work a case with her for the rest of time."
I laughed, and Jack gave me a knowing smile before spinning me out and away from him. He twirled me across the floor before pulling me back to him quickly. We moved in perfect harmony, picking up our pace to match the band and putting the other couples to shame. We quickly got lost in our own little world, to the point that everyone and everything except the music disappeared. When Jack sped up, I sped up a little more, and we easily met each other's challenges, stupid smiles on our faces the whole time.
When a slower song started playing, Jack and I finally relaxed the pace, forgoing the elaborate dance moves to just sway in place and catch our breaths for a minute. I was still a little lost in our moment, enough so that I didn't notice someone else approaching us until he shoved himself part way between me and Jack.
"Hey doll. Mind if I cut in?" The guy leered over me, totally ignoring Jack as he reached for my hand without waiting for my answer. I scoffed, my tired-but-happy smile instantly turning into a scowl. Jack seemed equally frustrated and moved as if he was about to step in and do something about it, but I decided to just take care of it for the both of us.
"Actually, yeah, I do mind," I snapped, fixing the guy with an unimpressed look as I snatched my hand out of his reach. He seemed incredibly surprised by my response, but I plowed ahead anyway. "I'm dancing with someone already, and even if I weren't, I have no interest at all in dancing with you. So... scram. Or beat it. Or whatever people say now."
The man just stood there for a second, open-mouthed, blinking at me in stunned silence. Then, his expression shifted into a scowl and his face started to turn red.
"I- You- How dare you-!"
"Dude, get lost," I said, crossing my arms and staring him down as I talked over him. I glanced over his shoulder to Jack, who also looked shocked but in a pleasantly surprised way, and addressed him. "What's another good way to tell someone to go away?"
He shrugged, a delighted smile growing on his face. "Take a powder?"
"Really?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. Jack just nodded, so I looked back at the rude guy. "Alright, take a powder. Hit the bricks. Take a long walk off a short pier. Other creative ways to say leave. I want to dance to this lovely song with my dance partner here, who is not you, so... yeah. Take the blatant instructions."
The man whirled around to Jack, like he expected him to say or do something to reign me in. Jack just shrugged again.
"You heard the lady. I'm not gonna tell you anything she didn't already say."
The man scowled, whipping back to look at me again. I just met him with crossed arms and a look that told him I wouldn't be budging an inch. He spluttered a few more incoherent words in indignation, then stormed off the dance floor and out of sight. I sighed, then faced Jack again.
"How wildly out of place was that for the time period? Both him and me?" I asked. Jack grinned.
"Him? Not very. You? Insanely," he said, taking my hand again as we went back to gently swaying in place. He tugged me a little closer to his chest, and I smiled. "I gotta say though, I sure enjoyed watching it."
"Good. Because I don't actually care at all, and I had a lot of fun doing that."
Jack laughed, throwing his head back before fixing me with a brilliant smile. He twirled me out and away from him again, then pulled me right back into his chest. We swayed together, closer than we'd been all night, and to my surprise I started noticing more than a few butterflies squirming in my chest as I stared up at the SSR Chief. Hm, noted the more logical side of my brain as we moved across the crowded dance floor. Nice, my heart replied as Jack's strong hand laid firmly on my waist and my hand traveled to the collar of his shirt.
Jack and I spent the rest of the night at the club, enjoying the music, the dancing, and each other's company until the place turned on the lights and threw us out. A few times, other men came up to hit on me and "steal me away" from Jack. Each time, I dressed them down and sent them on their way, and each time Jack just grinned and watched me do it. I could still tell he was ready to jump in, that his instinct was to take care of it for me, but he seemed to enjoy watching the jerks splutter and babble in shock and surprise as much as I did.
Afterwards, when we wandered back out onto the LA street together, Jack insisted on escorting me back to Howard Stark's place, where I'd be staying with Peggy. It was going to be incredibly weird staying at Tony's dad's house, meeting him and the real-human Jarvis, but I could process that later. Right now, I wanted to focus on the amazing, less-weird parts of being in the 40s. Specifically Jack Thompson, who I'd just spent a wonderful night enjoying this new time period with.
Jack hailed us a cab, and I rested my head on his shoulder and watched the city go by as the taxi took us out of the city, to the massive Stark mansion. It was basically a 40s version of Tony's Malibu house, and a pang of sadness tightened in my chest when I realized I had no idea when–or if–I would see my friends again.
I took a deep breath and shook those thoughts out of my head as the car came to a stop. All of that was a problem for later, not now. Jack got out first, holding the door for me and offering a hand to help me out, which I took. Rather than dropping it once I stood, he wrapped it around his arm as he asked the cabbie to wait and escorted me towards the house. We stopped on the porch and turned to face each other, and I realized I actually really didn't want the night to end.
"Thanks for showing me around the forties," I said, giving Jack a small smile. "It was actually really fun."
"You don't have to sound so surprised," he griped, but a smile made its way onto his face all the same. "So... I don't know how long you're gonna be here, and obviously we've got a lot of other work to do with Carter and Sousa tomorrow, but... maybe I could take you out again sometime. There's still a lot of forties you haven't seen yet."
"I'd like that," I said, a warm feeling welling up in my chest. I hesitated a second as Jack and I stared at each other on the doorstep, then decided to say fuck it and keep doing what I'd been doing all night: following my impulses. "Quick question: in the forties, if I kiss you on the first date, is that going to scare you off or something?"
Jack grinned. "It might get a raised eyebrow from the cabbie, but I sure as shit won't be complaining."
"Good."
With that, I grabbed Jack's lapels and tugged him towards me, leaning up just a bit and giving him a kiss. It was short, really just a quick peck since we'd just met, but fireworks exploded in my chest at the sensation anyway.
Jack's grin stayed in place as we pulled apart, and his hand lingered on my waist an extra second before dropping to his side. He took a step backwards, towards the waiting car, even as his eyes stayed on mine. I rested my hand on the doorknob, watching Jack and trying to stay in the moment even as he walked away.
"Welcome to the forties, sweetheart," he called as he made it down the porch steps and into the driveway. "I'll see you at work tomorrow."
I waved, a smile on my own face to match his. "Can't wait."
Jack gave a short wave and one last grin before getting into the cab. I watched as he drove away, a smile still on my own face even after I knew he couldn't see it. Finally, after the lights of the cab faded back into the LA night, I turned on my heel and walked into the house.
I'd been in the 40s for less than twelve hours, and I knew for a fact that I hadn't even scratched the tip of the iceberg on exploring the time period, or what frustrations being eighty years removed from everything I knew would bring. But, despite all that, I'd had a blast tonight, and tomorrow I'd get to start working with THE Peggy Carter. Whether I was only here for another few hours or it turned into months or longer, I couldn't help being excited at the idea of everything that was yet to come for me, not least of all my next date with Jack Thompson.

Rare moment.. | Marvel Fanfic
Tumblr media
Timeline: Phase 1 Pre—Avengers — Phase 2 Pre—Iron Man 3
Non romantic-Pairing: Jason Underwood & Pepper Potts
Characters mentioned: Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, Natasha Romanoff, Maria Hill, Maria Stark, Tony Stark, Edward & Ana Jarvis and etc
Summary: You rarely see a man who’s face never looked like anything phases him, but what happens when the chips are down and his emotions take front line one night? It’s a rare moment but it makes you remember how human he really has been.
——
It was late or early in some accounts, when he awakened from his slumber. There were nights he didn’t sleep and if he did, it was short. Usually he would occupy his mind with whatever was on TV, packing for a trip and or, start cleaning up a small mess. But tonight, it didn’t suit him.
He sat near the open bar in the kitchen, leaning against the counter in his pjs rubbing his eyes and pouring himself another drink. He already had a snack from the fridge to not upset his stomach or anything. His mind looked crowded, it always seemed crowded in his opinion.
He sighed, taking a sip of his drink and exhaled.
And that’s exactly how Pepper found it.
She originally headed out to the bathroom but once she left, she noticed the lights on. That’s when she stumbled upon the blonde hair man of the house sipping a drink, it was a rare occasion. Jason was always a day drinker during a Sunday brunch or a simple weekday. But this, this was rarely the last thing she wanted to see at the moment.
She expected a late night snack at least, not a glass of cold wine.
“Jason?” She asked making her presence known, “Are you alright?”
“Huh?” He responded turning to face the strawberry blonde with a soft half smile, “I’m fine. Did I wake you?”
“N-no, I just headed out of the bathroom to pee, and I saw you here. Is something going on?”
“N-no, Pep it’s fine. I’m fine, just couldn’t sleep.”
“So you decided to drink instead?”
“Not my best moment ever seen but I had worse. I’m sorry you had to see me like this. Go back to bed.”
“Tony’s knocked out cold in his lab downstairs, he won’t be waking up anytime soon.”
Jason sighed deeply, he wanted to be alone with his drink and crackers to be honest. He wanted to be miserable in his thoughts. But he knew he wasn’t going get free of Pepper that easily. She was tough and always knew when to stand her ground. He pulled up a chair for her as she nodded, thanking him.
“What’s on your mind? You can tell me, I promise I won’t try to judge you on anything.” Said Pepper, knowing the men in this household mindsets were beyond compared to hers.
He sniffled and sighed, “It’s a lot. It’s a lot more complicated than you think.”
“Try me. I’ve seen weird stuff lately.”
“Heh, uh, I have been thinking. When am I not thinking? I’ve been trying to ease my mind on everything. I know I can’t control half of it but theses thoughts keep me up at night.”
“What do you mean?”
“My lifetime achievements are nothing special. I mean—I enjoy what I do! I get to see you, Tony, Rei, Rhodey and visit Peggy whenever possibly. But it doesn’t..um..crap.”
“It doesn’t what?”
“It doesn’t ever take away the guilt and painful decisions I’ve seen happen.”
Tumblr media
Jason could’ve stayed quiet at that moment but the words just came out. He lived longer than expect, he has seen his own family fall and risk they’re lives. Sometimes he wishes he could end it, stop it from eating up inside but he can’t. It hurt, so much more than he knows. It was a rare occasion to see him say something like this, Pepper knows it. Tony knows it.
He always acts like nothing ever phases him and that he’s always fine. He has been doing that for a long period of years now. Always feeling like he has too, there is so much happening in the world that he can’t put that burden on anyone on how he feels. He never gets time to panic, react a certain way and or externally freak out.
But moments like this, he crumbles as his mind starts boggling and he can’t help it.
His voice hitches as he sniffed again, “It doesn’t take wipe away the whole truth. The guilt. The pain and the damage that happened…”
“What guilt? Sorry I’m not following me..” Pepper ask wholeheartedly, she knew of his story but not all of it.
“I’ve fought for paperwork, payed more than expected and traveled just to keep myself alive and safe..just for i don’t get questioned by authorities for how I look. Just for i can breath and watch Tony grow up. I thank Peggy every single day for taking care of him, her godson, when one of us couldn’t do it. But it doesn’t take away the fact that I was left behind..right where they left me..alone…”
His voice was shaky but he kept calm, taking a breath. Pepper put a hand on his shoulder.
“You seem happy now…?” She whispered, trying to be careful with her words.
“Not 100% happy.” He admitted, “I mean. Sometimes I just feel tired. It’s this tiredness and empty chest pain knowing I can’t do a freaking thing about it. I lost my sister cause she didn’t care about anyone but herself, I lost Howard and Maria…they were my family, as much as fought I loved them..Ana and Jarvis..t-they were the kindest people I met…but never had the chance to have their own children..it was horrible Pepper...i can still remember it all…what we been though..”
“What about Jack, Daniel and Peggy? I know you said Jack Thompson died being shot down during an investigation..i don’t know the details..”
“No one does..I still to do this day, as much as Jack was a pain my ass, I liked the man. I don’t know who murdered him or why..Daniel went on to almost married Peggy but he knew something was always holding him back. The SSR—SHIELD said he died during a mission, but I don’t feel like it was right..and Peggy…oh Pep..the times I thought I lost that women..”
“Oh JJ..it’s okay..it’s life and Peggy is still alive and kicking for the most part.”
“There’s peoples that I met but I don’t even think you or Tony know about. And now..”
Jason voice kept riding upwards and tears started to roll in, shaking his head, he chuckled. It would’ve looked hilarious to him, but how he carries so much weight on his shoulders and never felt like he can let some of it go. Pepper was kind enough to listen to him so late at night, when she should be asleep instead, in bed under the warm covers.
But she’s here listening to him talk, not interrupting him or telling him to stop talking about that. It was always the other way around, where he always listens and let everyone else talk. He was thankful for Pepper in that moment and hoped Tony married such an amazing women. She deserves to be more than just his assistant.
“..and now what?” She said softly, putting a hand on his shoulder.
“And now with how much the world is changing…I’m scared, no terrified what I will see next. We have gods, mutants, more men and women in suits, genetically modified people, and no knows what?! I um..shit i don’t know..” Jason replied sniffing, “The fact that Captain freaking America is alive still feels unreal to me.”
“Me too. It’s crazy. I think i had to get a drink after hearing that news.”
“I remember hearing the radio about his death during the war, Peggy crying her eyes outs that the fact she lost him, Howard feeling like he’s maybe still around wanting to search for him…and..now knowing how much I know..I think my pain will hurt more if..”
“If what?”
“If the people who I thought were dead were alive all this time but hidden behind some block of ice. It’s terrible how much I fear the thought I might’ve been lied to and it was not even justifiable that we’re only finding out now..”
Jason knows something that Tony and the public must’ve taken for granted. Must’ve missed out on and forgot about. Howard Stark’s little sister, Elizabeth Stark, Tony’s aunt and one of friends he cared for.
Lizzie or Liz for short.
Tumblr media
His friend group originally consisted of himself, Peggy, Angie, Howard, Hank, Maria, Jarvis, Ana, Daniel, Elizabeth and a few others.
And he remembers the day Lizzie died during a mission, they were heartbroken. He remembers the long standing nights, the wishes, the questions and everything. Where he thought he should’ve been himself. Replace his life, for she could live and see the world.
And he saw her again, he wouldn’t know what to do with himself. He would probably panic, hold back a sob or two, feel sick to his stomach, question how she survived for so long and god knows what?!
His mind would feel like it split in two, as if he didn’t feel like that already.
Trade his life for her. Take a bullet for her and all their friends. But now, he doesn’t know what to think.
“Pepper, what if I was supposed to be gone already?” He wondered.
“JJ, no, don’t say that. You were meant to meet us. I believe that you were given a chance to live longer and see the world.” Pepper exclaimed.
“What happened to the no judgement part? I’m kidding. It’s just feels like I can’t breathe sometimes. My life stopped being what I would considered normal the moment I fell into the water that night and my heart stopped. I was practically died for what must’ve been 5 long minutes…it took me forever to realize what happened that during nightmare of a week..”
“Do you regret it?”
“Sometimes more than most. I wished it wasn’t like this. Honestly, it acts like blessing and feels like curse..you can’t grow old enough to be with someone, you have to love and lose people. It’s why I never married or have any kids, that I know one.”
Pepper chuckled at that, they both chuckled at the last comment. It would be funny if a kid randomly showed up at they’re doorstep claiming that they’re father was him, but it won’t happen.
“I wish I could. I wish I could’ve had a wife or hell, even husband.” He said with soft chuckle, “But I don’t date. I don’t want to have a girlfriend where I can’t give them, everything they wished for.”
Tumblr media
He thought about Angie and Violet. But he knew he couldn’t give them everything they would’ve like, still he would’ve married at least Angie.
He fell for Violet deeply she was an Angel but his heart danced and flutter when around Angie.
Tumblr media
“And kids? I mean besides Tony and Rei, your nephews and nieces from Peggy’s family.” Pepper repiled with a chuckle, “If you couldn’t have a wife or husband, you could have one. You just need that push but what about a kid?”
“I would enjoy my own kid in my life, even if it’s just for a while.” He replied, “But I won’t make them sacrifice their lives, since the first few years would be great and we’ll have fun…but when they become older and I stay the same, they will have to lie. Not be able to introduce me to everyone as they’re father since the age difference. Or worse, they have to lie saying I’m they’re nephew or son instead, when they get into their late 40s and 50s. It will be a balancing act for them having to lie..”
“Hmm..wow, you come up with everything, don’t you?”
“No because it’s true. It happened. I didn’t ask for Tony, Sharon and Hope to keep up lie that wasn’t theirs to keep, they just did it. Subconsciously. Telling people that I’m an old family friend of some kind, which isn’t all falsely said. But still and I appreciate it. They’re kinda like my nephew and nieces…”
“But if you had to have one, would you? Because I think you would be a great husband and father. I mean, you’re already an uncle.”
“Yeah I would. A daughter. After helping babysit Sharon Carter and Hope Van Dyne, it’s different than a taking care of a boy. You girls look at your daddies, grandpas, godfathers, and uncles way differently than boys do. It’s cute.”
“But I do have a question.”
“Shoot.”
“Why all of this? What brought this last thought of yours?”
“Natasha.” He said softly, “You knew she and the other Avengers have kids, but they let fear and bruised feelings stop them from being great parents. It’s unbelievably understandable where they’re all coming from but still…i don’t know..”
“Jason, you know the reasons why. It’s hard for them…” She replied with a half smile.
“I know, Pepper. I know it is. Even if they had theses kids under odd circumstances, they deserve to get a chance to meet each other. There will be hurt feelings and mistakes made, but that’s part of it. No one knows how to be a parent! It’s something you learn along the way…”
“But it’s not easy as you say it is. You’re not in they’re shoes, even if you were, you would know it’s not gonna be easy.”
“Even if I had to give up my child for their best chance and to help me figure something else to make things better..I know, I’m contradicting myself when I say this but I had my own child out there and I knew where they are. I would make sure I would be their guardian angel and give them so advice, even if i don’t get to the part where I say ‘Hey I’m your dad!’. Make sure they’re okay…it’s hard concept, I know…”
“But you’re not all wrong. Things just take time..and you need to give things time for yourself.”
“Sadly, I have all the time in the world. But I’ll be okay..I’m always okay. Go to bed, Pepper.”
“But..”
“Go to bed. You got a long week coming up.”
“I know..but will you be actually okay?”
“Good night, doll.”
“Good night, Jason.”
