#seriously if anyone is looking to invest in a pair of bone conduction headphones: get these #shokz has several models at varying prices; the pro model (which is what i have) is currently retailing for about $180 #(plus tax where applicable) #they are very worth it! sturdy; lightweight; good sound quality for what they are; great battery life #seriously they have something like a 14hr active playtime battery plus a special quickcharge feature #so you get 3hrs of use out of 10mins of charging #i use them all the time - at work; out doing errands; while im sleeping #theyre so so good #obviously they must be; both mags AND i use them #thats two whole fantastic tumblr people. what more endorsement could you possibly need???

These vibrating motherf**kers are the AfterShokz Aeropex (Shokz OpenRun) and they are my favorite headphones I have ever owned.

First, I can hear what's going on around me, even when listening to my favorite Mongolian Basket Weaving podcast. Honestly, they're really just great for when you're in public and want to completely disassociate but still need to be prepared for active threats.

Second, the sound quality is pretty good. But because it is "shake-based" technology, if you turn the volume up too loud, it will turn your ear drums into maracas. Same goes for heavy bass music. But for casual listening, especially in public or even in your car if you have a piece of shit broken radio, they're pretty great.

Third, this pair specifically is remarkably comfortable. They only weigh 26 grams, which is 10 grams lighter than the pair that I had before them, the AfterShokz Titanium, that weighed 36 grams. They're very smooth and have a soft texture, no bumps or anything digging into the side of your head. Honestly, they're so comfortable I have spent literally tens of minutes looking for them while they've been sitting on top of my head. Now I don't know necessarily if that's a testament to how comfortable they are or how stupid I am, so take that how you will.

Fourth, the battery life is completely insane. I forget to turn them off all the time. I'll leave them in my car, find them a week later, think I'm turning them on, put them on my head, hear a "POWERING OFF", get really disappointed, and then turn them on and hear a triumphant: BATTERY LEVEL MEDIUM. Truly stupendous.

Now I was gonna try to be fair and mention some cons, but the only cons I've really got are the ones I've already mentioned and those kinda come with the territory of having your Spotify stream delivered to you via a pair of bullet vibrators attached to the side of your head.

So, all in all, excellent product. I give it 10/10 cinnamon apple bars.
