The First Night - Ch 2 of 9
Ponk has important plans that night, but first they'll spend the evening with Sam.

Mafia AU masterpost
~ Ponk ~
“I don’t understand how this will help you all.  Like, passing stuff along is one thing, but this is getting really dangerous, you know?” Ponk shifts nervously from foot to foot.  They’ve been in this office many times by now, the far wall made a deep red by a floor length curtain, bookshelves on either side, gunmen just beyond the mahogany doors, and a desk half cast in shadow in front of them.
“We’ll have them for an hour at most.  You won’t have to do anything else,” Antfrost reassures them.  He remains standing, leaning against the front of his desk, his button up another splash of red and his gun visible in its holster alongside white suspenders.  These mob types are always so overdressed.
“You said you could do it.  If you can’t anymore, we won’t have any reason to uphold our end of the deal.”  As always, the leader of the Badlands is sharp, leaned back in his chair, twisting his rings around his fingers absently.  All that authority with so little effort, his very presence tinging the air and making everyone tread lightly.
“I’ll do it, I will,” Ponk says quickly.  “It’s just… Sam has been getting really stressed lately, and like obviously he’s noticed shit being off, so…”
The pair exchange glances, amused at the notion that they should be concerned for a cop.  “This is the last thing we’ll ask of you,” Antfrost says.  “After this, you’re out.  Out of all of it.  We won’t let Schlatt touch you.”
Ponk nods, “or Sam.”
“Yes.  Or Sam.”
Ponk takes a deep breath and hardens their resolve.  “Right, then.  Won’t be able to get out until late.  Normally I’d just use the volunteering excuse but this time I’ll… I’ll have to wait until he’s asleep.  I dunno how late that will actually be, but I’ll meet you at the bridge, alright?  Don’t try to find me.”
Ant nods.  “Someone will meet you there.”
“Someone?  Who?  I’m not gonna walk up to a damn stranger and pass off the Police Captain’s keys,” Ponk folds their arms over their chest.
Another exchange of glances Ponk doesn’t understand.  Ant replies again.  “We’re not going to get too closely involved.  I believe you’ve met Punz, right?  We’ve hired him to… carry out the rest of the mission.”
Ponk relaxes.  “Punz.  Good.  He’s good at what he does.  There can’t be anything left out of place.”
“We don’t want that either.”
“Okay.  Er.  Good,” Ponk gives them a nod.  “So, that’s all?”
“You’re free to leave,” the man waves a jeweled hand to the door, diamonds flashing in the dim light.  Ponk is quick to make their exit, still unnerved by the whole business.  They’re used to a mob boss whose threats are more transparent.
Ant watches as the door shuts behind them, turning back to his boss.  “You’re too good to him.”
A hint of defensiveness enters an already unforgiving tone.  “To who?”
“To Bad, obviously.  Who do you think I meant?  Ponk?” Ant scoffs.  “I know if you had your way, we’d use Ponk until it got them arrested or their pig boyfriend dead.  You’re striking up a pretty generous offer, losing a very useful source, just to… I don’t know, indulge whatever fantasy Bad has been trying now.”
“Careful, Ant.  You shouldn’t belittle your boss so easily,” Skeppy continues to twist the many rings around his fingers, giving Ant a warning look.
Ant stares at Skeppy, who had been the primary resident of this office and its affairs for years now.  “You’re right,” Ant responds coolly.
“Go.  I’m done for today.  Just make sure this gets done.  Have Punz leave it here, I’ll take it to Bad myself,” Skeppy dismisses him.
“You shouldn’t stay here alone.”
“I won’t be long.  I said you were dismissed.”
Ant sighs, knowing there’s no more room for argument, leaving his old friend behind.
~
Ponk is late.  Sam does his best not to worry, but lately everything had been worrying him.  He’s given up trying not to pace the length of their messy– albeit far too fancy– West side apartment, Fran sitting patiently by the door, watching him with mild interest.
“I know, I know, Fran.  We’ll go when they’re back, promise,” Sam reassures her.  “Ah, you know what– I’m just gonna call–”
Sam breaks down and goes to the phone on the wall in the kitchen, spinning a familiar number.  It rings.  Once, twice, six times.  Nothing.
“Nothing.  That means they’ve left the museum, so they’re probably on their way home now, right?” Sam keeps Fran posted, trying to reassure himself.
She ignores him, ears pricking up and looking to the door, hearing the lock turn well before Sam does.
“I know, I know I’m late–” Ponk knows exactly what to expect when they come in the door.
Sam grabs them in a hug, picking them up off the ground.  “Yeah, really late.”
Ponk smiles into his shoulder, endeared.  “Sorry, Sammy.  Didn’t mean to have you up in a fuss.”
Sam sets them down.  “What took you so long?”  He pouts.
“Er, you know, got held up at work.  Had to talk business with Eret.  Should’ve called and told you,” Ponk shrugs off their jacket.
“No, it’s okay, I’ve just been you know… all out of wack, lately,” Sam sits at their kitchen counter, gesturing vaguely to the air.
“Any more weird shit at work?”
“Huh?  Oh, yeah.  Yeah, of course,” Sam rubs his forehead, a constant headache had made a home there these past weeks.  “Y’know that sting I told you about?”
“Huh?” Ponk feigns forgetfulness, despite knowing exactly what Sam is going to say and what the problem had been.  “Remind me.”
“We were trying to shut down one of the Warehouses– one of The Captain’s– but– I dunno, something tipped her off!” Sam sounds so frustrated.  Ponk only feels fond.  He still calls her the Captain.  “It’s really starting to scare me, Ponk.  If we have a mole in the precinct– trusting the people there is all we have in this.  The Badlands keep pushing and– god, it’s like we’re trying to win a war, not protect a city and-and people are still dying.  Rookies are getting taken out of commission by an unexpected firefight because these fucking criminals are suddenly not where they’re supposed to be and- and I’m tired.”
“I’m so sorry, Sammy,” Ponk murmurs.  There’s nothing more to say.  The whole reason they’ve been trying to change this is because of the burden it’s put on Sam.  Already they had been trying to get out, to get away from Schlatt, but this deal will be the last for the Badlands.  It had been a necessary evil, the cost of protection from Schlatt for them both, but that doesn’t mean Ponk won’t regret it.  Sam’s job had always been hard and had always been dangerous, that was the nature of things in this town, but Ponk never again wants to know an incident that almost pushed Sam to a breakdown could be traced directly back to them.
“It’s okay.  Nothing you can do.  I just gotta…” Sam clears his throat, refusing to let his voice tremor, “keep pushing through it, I guess.”
Ponk tries to distract from the pang of guilt in their chest by exploring the kitchen, counters cluttered with dirty dishes and mismatched mugs and probably a fair amount of dog fur.  It’s sparse.  Not from lack of funds, rather the two of them rarely have time to get groceries, Sam almost glued to the station, and Ponk drifting from their job at Eret’s museum, their own less reputable business ventures, making house calls as the doctor of the worst mob boss on the map, and funneling information to the Badlands to boot.  Thankfully, two of those things would end tonight.
“Hey, uh, I’m thinking of stopping volunteering,” Ponk says.  It had been such a charming cover, lying and saying they were volunteering their skills as a doctor at a homeless shelter over on the East side of the river.  It had been easier than now having to lie and say they were stopping, far less noble and far more questionable.
“What, why?” Sam is distracted from his work troubles.
“It’s just… been running me ragged, if I’m honest,” Ponk shrugs.  That part is true.  “And the people… I want to help people, you know that, but, uh.  Certain patients get rude and– and violent.”  Also true.  Just one patient, but true.  “So.  I don’t really want to anymore.”
“Violent?” Sam frowns, grave and endearingly protective.  “Wouldn’t the shelter keep people like that out?”
“Yeah, but there’s only so much they can do,” Ponk shrugs.
“Do you want me to speak to the department?  I could have someone sent out there.  Not usually something we do, but if I say it’s a favor for me– I could send them to you,” Sam offers.
“No, no there’s no need,” Ponk says quickly.  “They’ve, er, got their own security figured out.  Really, Sam, I’m just tired.  And… I don’t like what it’s doing to the two of us.  I feel like I never see you anymore.”
“I’m sorry, Ponkie, I know that’s my fault too.  When I come home I feel like all I do is talk about work,” Sam sighs.  “Sometimes I think I’m not cut out to be Captain.  Feel like I just stay there out of obligation nowadays, but– But at least I know I’m doing something important.  Doing good work,” Sam almost sounds like he’s trying to convince himself.  “Maybe I should… cut back on my hours.  I make more than enough as Captain, it’s not like we need my overtime.  I don’t know.  I feel like they always need me there.”
Ponk hadn’t thought about that.  Not Sam’s hours– But it reminded them of another problem this quitting business would draw up.  Ponk hadn’t gone to help Schlatt out of the goodness of their heart, they had gone for some very compelling pay.  They’d explained that away with a raise from Eret, and while Eret definitely pays them well, museum curators are not supposed to make that fucking much.  They have no idea how to lie their away around that one.  Say Eret started paying them less?  Say the museum has run into some hard times?  Eret will run out of money when Schlatt quits drinking, and Sam won’t believe it for a moment.
“Nothing, huh?” Sam says.  Ponk realizing they’d been staring into an open fridge for almost a minute.  “I was gonna go walk Fran.  Wanna come?  We could get food while we’re out.”
“Yeah, yeah, I guess,” Ponk sighs.  “Don’t expect us to get any good street food this side of the river.”
“I know, I know,” Sam rolls his eyes, fond, Fran’s leash in one hand, taking Ponk’s with the other.  Ponk holds Sam’s hand, and for all the risks they’re going to take tonight, all they can feel is relief.  Sam is once more apologizing to Fran for walking her so late, looking in far better spirits as they return to gleaming city streets and Ponk thinks they could listen to him forever.  He never lets go of their hand.  One last job, and they go straight.  One last job, and this whole mess ends.  For Sam.

lost boys au -
yknow how im going to introduce skeppy?
bad is baking muffins, it's actually pretty early in the morning, and he is preparing more than a dozen muffins for an event that will happening tonight. he's wearing a white with pink muffins and pink frills apron, courtesy of captain puffy of course.
he's taking out his first batch and he hears the door open and he must be thinking it's either punz or antfrost coming in from a late night out.
"dont forget to close the doors you muffinheads, I've been having to close it so much that mosquitos starting nesting in here! we may be blood-sucking but we're not as vicious as those suckers" bad says to practically thin air. his confusion grows as he didnt hear the usual grumble or snide remark.
he looks around the corner from the kitchen and looks to the living room to see some random stranger chilling on the floral couch. He sees an outline of a human body covered in a bright blue windbreaker that made so much noise as the person shifted on the couch, and he can see some dark floofy hair peak over their shoulder as they lay down on their side.
Bad started blubbering before he made a coherent "HEY" and was about to start heading over to scold or shoo away till he started hearing snoring.
Bad's anger has left to become more of a curious "oh..." and he figured since it's a human, they won't be able to do any harm in the face of a vampire. So bad did what any good samaritan did and shrugged and continied baking the dozens of muffins he needs to prepare for tonight.
two hours pass and the human is still on the couch as antfrost walks into the living room and could hear the clanking of dishes in the kitchen and the snoring of a person on the couch. he stops in the doorway and just looks between the couch and kitchen.
"uhhhh, bad? who is this?" ant asked.
"hmm?" was the only thing bad asked as he peaked his head out of the kitchen to look at antfrost.
antfrost pointed to the couch a little worried that bad might be going senile. bad trailed his eyes to wear ant was pointing and sees the human.
"oh!" bad said as he fully steps out of the kitchen in his pink and white apron, dusting of flour and glances at the human as his stance takes on a questioning one.
after a few moments of silence bad says, "yeah, i dont know, but he's been here for quite a bit"
"what the fuck bad" ant said as he pinches the bridge of his nose.
"language!"

sidenote:
skeppy's role in the lost boys au, he will be a private investigator to locate the missing people of Santa Carla. since cases of new missing persons have dropped significantly, he has been tasked to investigate more aboit Santa Carla.
there isn't a reason why he dresses up locally, its his way to blend in more and to help him gather more information as he's seen more as a curious tourist then a prying cop. plus it's more of his style lmao
he's always tired cause honestly, there is too many missing cases and he's constantly searching and since his job literally hates him for being a good P.I, they tasked to do an "impossible" case all on his own to either waste his time or get yim demoted. little do they know, he finds 78% of the missing people out of hundreds of them.
anyway, when he does eventually wake him, he's surrounded by all three of them - punz, ant and bad all argue on what to do with the intruder as skeppy sits there and asks for a cup of coffee. bad of couse accomodates him and punz and ant just sit there flabbergasted as they witness this encounter
skeppy gets sus vibes from the trio and decides to hang around to figure out who they are as bad just finds that hanging with this particular human isnt bad and just lets skeppy does whatever he wants while ant and punz just decide to ignore bad's infatuation.
you didnt expect skephalo huh? welp it's part of the plot no take backs

- Ponk tests out his TNT launcher and attempts to fly
- After one of the test runs goes wrong, Ponk dies in an explosion and loses all his items, including the trident. Sammy Wammy is lost forever
- It may be time to activate Plan 69. As Ponk says, it’s all about leverage...
- Ponk retrieves some items, puts on the creeper head and grabs Warden’s Will, Sam’s sword, from his underground base
- Later, Foolish comes online and Ponk meets him at the bank, doing his best Sam impression in the creeper head. She informs him that the plan is coming together, but there is a setback (Ponk claims she was testing the security system on the bank with Sam’s voice)
- The time is soon for Ponk’s arm plan. They show Foolish a chest. Foolish opens it and looks at the contents -- the leverage -- with his screen hidden. He’s shocked
Ponk: “Foolish! It was never in vain! I am twenty steps ahead, Foolish! I am a master of chess! I am the master!”
Foolish: “Do you realize that thing -- that is nuts! Does anyone else know about that?”
Ponk: “No! No one knows, Foolish! No one knows!” (laughs)
Foolish: “And that was like -- I guess I may have to ask you later to explain where you got it, but...”
- Foolish gives Ponk some resources
Ponk: “Our time will come. We will meet again. Very soon, hopefully.”
Foolish: “But you realize -- like, what you have, though -- there’s more than just the thing that we could do, like there’s a lot more--”
Ponk: “Foolish! I am a self-centered person, Foolish. It is only for my gain! And maybe yours!”
Foolish: “Yes, but we could also do it for other gains!”
Ponk: “No! No, Foolish. No, Foolish...Some people are meant to be, in the places they are meant to be. Okay? Alright. I will see you -- I’ll see you later, Foolish.”
- They part ways

- The biggest challenge is the flag above the Community House, which is immensely prideful and an unfortunate image to destroy. Tommy takes down the Pride Flag. Antfrost simply watches
- They put the blocks in the Freebies Chest
- Next, they go to inspect the prison. Tommy hates the prison. Antfrost states that it would be a conflict of interest for him, since he works there
- Sam appears at the prison entrance and tells them to stop. Foolish tries to bargain with scaffolding

Puffy: “What in the corporation is this shit?!”
- She walks down the Prime Path, surveying the damage, until she sees that they got rid of the flag as well
- There is now room for retribution. This seems to have been targeted at her
- Puffy goes to Tommy’s house. She could either destroy Tommy’s base, or cover it in rainbows...or...
- She spies the Big Innit Hotel in the background. They could take it a step further...
- She pulls up the stream footage for receipts. She sees Tommy start to destroy the gingerbread house and learns that Antfrost stopped it. Puffy is enraged
- She wonders what Tommy’s favorite tower is and makes her way to the Disruption Tower
- Puffy gets disrupted by the Disruption Tower and then takes part of it down. She gets Disrupted for a few minutes mining before finding out that it was the wrong tower, and it was the Power Tower that was Tommy’s favorite
Puffy: “Blackstone? I thought Tommy hated blackstone.”
- After walking past it several times, Puffy finally identifies the right tower as the Power Tower
- She gets some TNT and explodes Tommy’s house. While storing the dropped items in chests, she notices that Tommy has Schlatt’s bones
- She still remembers when she was living out of a turkey and the turkey was destroyed. While others helped, Tommy was the one who incited it. The others will get repercussions as well though
- Puffy builds Tommy’s house into a mini L’Targay so that when Tommy uses his house, he will finally be using L’Targay as well
- Next, Puffy takes down Antfrost’s gingerbread house and comes across the bathwater chamber
- She goes to Foolish’s summer home to put mustaches on all the statues, but is disappointed to find that they already have mustaches. She starts putting a brown hat on the sphinx when Quackity joins VC
- Quackity asks why Puffy is putting hats on all of Foolish’s builds, and Quackity tells her to leave him alone. Puffy informs him that Foolish is her son. They go back and forth about Puffy’s full name (Puff Big Daddy)
- Quackity is not BadBoyHalo’s mistress
- Puffy tells him about Tommy blowing up all the rainbows, so she blew up Tommy’s house. They chat a bit
- Foolish logs on, Puffy asks him why he helped in the destruction of Targay and Foolish says it was character development
- Then Quackity tells Puffy about how Tommy got exiled. Namely, that Tubbo betrayed him (he does an impression of Tubbo). Foolish sneaks around behind them
Puffy: “Do you think it would be wrong to kill my son on the server?”
Puffy: “Like do I pull a Philza?”
- Quackity says not to even think about touching Foolish. Puffy invites Foolish to the call and Quackity tells Foolish that he is Quackity’s beloved and then starts talking about metabolism articles

Quackity: Imagine Bane and the Joker kissing
Foolish: Can we do that?
- They talk quite a bit about Wattpad
- Foolish changes into his Superman skin
- Quackity leaves and Foolish and Puffy continue to talk in Las Nevadas

Immortal council au
Technoblade is the literally immortal vessel of the Blood God. He can't die in battle no matter what he does but he CAN die by "normal" means. "Chat" are former vessels giving him advice.
Phil is the Angel of Death. He's not Death himself but he is (or was) one of the reapers who fell in love with humanity and earth a little bit too much and decided to stay. The sky is his domain, keeping his charges safe from his master a little bit longer.
Death is watching patiently. Eventually, his reaper will return to him. It is inevitable, just like Death himself.
Tubbo and Tommy are semi-immortal demigods, similar to Castor and Pollux in Greek mythology. If one of them dies, the other will follow him into Death too. On the other hand, they always know where the other is/what he feels and they possess mild teleportation powers.
Sapnap is a fire spirit but everyone always thinks he's a blaze hybrid. When he gets injured, no blood shows, only little flames dancing on his skin. He's also obviously fireproof and can change as quickly as the fire between moods.
I can see George as some sort of spirit of the seasons (maybe fall?) which would explain why he always sleeps so much. It's in his nature to miss most of the year until he's needed and if he decides to stay for longer than he should, it takes massive amouts of energy.
Nobody is really sure who or what Dream is. He's not human, clearly, but the others also know he's something else. Sometimes, when you look at him quickly enough, you can see the shadows moving ominously and a light from his mask that should not be there. Nobody has ever seen his face.
(Dream is something else, that is true. Far older than the others know, he's just grateful he's found a place where he's accepted no matter what. And if he enjoys the slaughter similarly to Techno sometimes or seems to know what others are thinking like Tommy and Tubbo or he plays with the elements like Sapnap, nobody says anything.)
Eret is Herobrine. No more explanation, they are just straight up Herobrine.
Niki is something similar to Hestia, a goddess dedicated to family and hospitality. She likes to bake because those were the offerings humans used to leave for her.
Fundy's a trickster god, having chosen the form of a fox a long time ago.
Ranboo used to be a spirit too but something went wrong with his body. When someone summoned him and forced him into a (mostly) human body, his memories and powers got screwed up in the process. Only Dream knows who he used to be.
Puffy is a benevolent goddess who watches over the weak and provides for the ones with good intentions. She used to be a human knight, many many years ago and will still sometimes act like it.
Wilbur... Now Wilbur's very interesting. Gods aren't supposed to die, after all. But as the (former) patron saint of a city, he lost himself when his city got reduced to nothing after a bombing. He's still a deity now but his powers are a lot more volatile since thry no longer really have an "anchor" or a duty.
Karl watches over the timeline. He no longer remembers who he was before he took up his duty but he'll never forget the people dear to his heart, no matter how many timelines he'll have to wade through. His guardian powers give him mild time travel and time manipulation abilities (freezing/speeding up time, etc.)
Quackity is a bird spirit. Freedom is his domain and he will stand in the way of everyone who tries to oppose this. Similar to Philza, he has permanent wings on his back which symbolize his position.
Punz and Purpled are both spirits of war. They're not the God of war themselves, similar to Philza and death, but they've always been there when there's bloodshed to be had. That doesn't mean they enjoy it.
Ponk is an ancirnt trading and trickster god, similar to Hermes in Greek mythology. He can manipulate deals and money and if you give him an opportunity, you will lose, but if he likes you, you'll suddenly find yourself enjoying riches you've never heard before.
Sam is the patron of inventors, Bad doesn't even have to change as a demon, Skeppy is a nature spirit who somewhere alsong the way picked up an unshakeable love for diamonds and Ant is a cat spirit .
This ended up way too long but enjoy. -V
:O
I enjoy this a lot! I enjoy it a lot! These are all so cool!

Metal Elephant, Carried By Mice
The rain transformed the city.
Most people stayed inside, unwilling to venture out into the downpour. This city had been pouring toxins into the sky for decades, and the rain was a palpable sign of it. Acid burns from prolonged exposure were common, and were part of the reason tattoos and metallic skin implants were common. Normal people went inside when it rained.
It was freaks like Sam who stayed outside.
The rain pattered on slick, dark streets, capturing the reflections of neon lights and twisting them across puddles in the ground. Drops soaked into Sam’s vest, darkening the already stained yellow fabric, and dripped into his eyes as he made his way through the streets. A small gang of figures wearing rain resistant hoods were gathered in the mouth of an alleyway he passed, passing around a small pipe of something. It glowed bright green in the darkness. They noticed him pass, but didn’t move to stop him. There was an unspoken agreement between them, fools of the streets who dared to wander in the rain.
In the broad daylight he have gotten far more of a reaction—a seven foot tall hybrid walking the streets was hardly ever viewed as an acceptable sight, especially not one of Sam’s type—but he was in his element right now, the time designated for people like him. The hybrids, the assassins, the gamblers, the belly of the underground. The people who decided when the wars went down.
Hypixel City’s less reputable areas were split up among the various gangs powerful enough to take control. It was all about where the prices were higher, where the water was cleaner, where the toxins were least dangerous. Of those three only price really made a difference to Sam, but he chose his side anyway. He never got directly involved in the wars, that was too dangerous for everyone present, but he protected their area in his own way. Alarms, traps, security cameras, the works. He had been expecting this to happen ever since the rain first started, and he’d asked the others to be on the alert.
Boomer and Hannah were at the break site when he got there. The chain link fence between two areas had been cut open, leaving an area big enough for even someone Sam’s size to slip through. Both of the racers were arguing loudly, voices audible over the rain as Sam approached them.
“Sam!” Hannah called as he came over, whipping towards him and cutting Boomer off in the middle of his sentence. She had her helmet on, but it was easy to identify her by the glowing rose tattoos on her bare arms. “Where did they go from here?”
“I don’t know, they knocked out the cameras.” Sam opened his communicator to the channel the entire squad shared. Rain spattered on the screen and he wiped it away to read the messages sent most recently. “Punz went north to look for them, Ant and Gumi went west.”
“They’re not dumb enough to go south.” Boomer took off his helmet and tucked it under his arm, milky-blue eyes narrowed. “I mean, Bad’s place down there.”
“What’s he gonna do, serve them a muffin?” Hannah rolled her eyes, pulling her bike from where it leaned against the fence and kicking the stand up. It was a sleek, dark thing held together by magnetism mostly, with glowing pink lights on the tailpipe and the front and peace and love sprayprainted across the side. Sam had built most of it for her, as a favor for helping out at the plant.
“Come on, Bad’s more dangerous than that.” Boomer raised the pitch of his voice to a gratingly high octave. “oh, hello, are you Skeppy? You’re not Skeppy! Time to die, muffin head!” His voice returned to its normal bass rumble. “Then boom, they’re dead.”
“Bad has enough of a reputation to keep them out of his bar, but Ant’s sanctuary is past that. They may just have avoided him to try to hit in a place where it’ll hurt.” Sam tapped his communicator, pulling up camera footage from near the southern side of their territory.
“Do you want us to head down there and guard it?” The tattooed roses on Hannah’s arms shone luminous pink in the dark, twisting as she stretched them up over her head.
“That would be the best plan.” Sam nodded, flicking through camera views. “They know our territory better than they should. I’ll keep checking the cameras, you two patrol the area by Ant’s sanctuary.”
“Got it, big man.” Boomer swung one leg over the seat of his bike. It was bulkier than Hannah’s—Sam had helped him put it together years ago—and shone silver despite the grime of the streets. He revved the motor, green light flaring up from the tailpipe, and took off with the splash of water beneath him. The lights left a visible trail in the air, caught on the mist of falling rain. Hannah’s bike darted after him, catching up within a few seconds.
Sam returned his attention to his communicator.
What if they’re baiting us out or something? Gumi had messaged in the past few seconds.
Baiting us away from what? Sam typed back.
Maybe they want a hostage. Antfrost sent. They’re rats enough for that.
The most available hostage is that DUNDERHEAD Skeppy >:[ Red replied.
If they take Skeppy I’ll destroy them Bad typed quickly. Typical. He had been offline for most of the evening, serving the customers in his bar, then as soon as Skeppy was suggested to be in danger he jumped into the chat.
Yeah, like you destroyed his asshole last night. Red sent. Sam sighed and shut his eyes.
Focus. He told them. Boomer and Hannah are going to check around the sanctuary. Gumi and Ant, I’m assuming you haven’t seen anything.
There was a nope, from Ant and a negative, Samuelson from Gumi
Punz, what about you? Sam asked.
No reply.
Dammit, he shouldn’t have let Punz go out alone. If Punz saw them he would probably just move in immediately, try to injure the intruders and slow them before he even called in with info.
Punz you WHORE give us an update!!! Gumi sent.
Sam groaned and put his communicator in his pocket. He bent to inspect the severed wires of the fence. It was a divider between the Pummel Squad’s territory and that of the NeoSkars. The wires were cut cleanly, not with clippers, but seared straight through. They had actual gear to infiltrate with. The size of the hole they’d needed to make also hinted that they had a few hybrids on their own side, or at least heavily modded humans.
They could take care of the intruders eventually. He knew the squad well, trusted them to handle themselves in a fight—well, most of them. The problem was what they would do while in Pummel territory. If they managed to make a hit at something that belonged to a member of the crew—like Ant’s sanctuary or Red’s enhancement dealership—they would deal a blow to both the gang’s reputation, and the members themselves. Ant would be heartbroken if any of his animals died. They were all strange creatures, chimeras created for the enjoyment of rich patrons, that were eventually decided to no longer be novelties and tossed out on the streets. Ant was probably the only person keeping abandoned creatures like them from dying on the roadside.
Boomer and Hannah would keep the sanctuary safe. They may argue and scream about it, but they would do it. Sam’s greatest worry at the moment was whatever was happening in Punz’s area. Everyone else was grouped up, had a buddy to keep them safe. Punz was being too reckless.
As always.
All Sam could hope was that it wasn't too bad this time.

DSMP OVERWATCH AU
Name still pending and I don't have everyone sorted yet but here you go.
Basic Plot:
The Overwatch were the united protectors of the planet. Key word is were. The organization disbanded after two of its biggest members reportedly went MIA failing to stop the collapse of a large trade building and the public turned on them in the ensuing chaos. It's been inactive for over 5 years now. With the rise in international crime and the growing threat of the Crimson organization, one hopeful desperate kid starts trying to reform the Overwatch.
Overwatch Members:
Tommy Craft- Damage hero, uses two guns, youngest member and the aforementioned kid, honestly just wants his family back together again
Ultimate: Hero's Sacrifice- Upon reaching 0 hp, he goes up in a fiery explosion that causes instant half damage to nearby enemies
Awesamdude- Tank hero, one of the OG Overwatch members, has a lot of cybernetic enhancements and is the head technician for OW, helped Tommy send out the distress signal to try and get the old members back
Ultimate: Supercharged- He can send a flood of power to his electronics, causing them to explode and damage enemies nearby. This leaves him immobile for 30 seconds
Technoblade Craft- Tank hero, Tommy's older brother, best with melee combat, OG Overwatch member that begrudgingly joined to try and find Phil
Ultimate: Wrath of the Blood God: Techno goes into a rage, taking half damage and dealing double for 30 seconds
Sapnap- Damage hero, uses a flamethrower, was not a past member of OW but answered the call to arms as his dad was a part of it, hates the Crimson
Ultimate: Blazing Molotov- Sapnap removes the gas tank of his flamethrower, lights it and throws it
Karl Jacobs- Support hero, engaged to Sapnap, uses a chronal accelerator to zip around and give heath to folks
Ultimate: Time Stop- He extends the zone that his accelerator works in, preventing nearby allies from losing health and ammo for 30 seconds
Punz- Damage hero, ex mercenary, decided to join the OW to make up for the stuff they'd done on some of their worst jobs and to set a better example to their younger siblings (Purpled and Hannah)
Ultimate: Set Target- they can chose one enemy/enemy structure to target and will keep shooting that one target until its HP is reduced to 0
Tubbo Underscore- Support hero, Tommy's best friend, hacks health stations and is quite reliant on his tech, secretly feral and Sam and Tommy have to drag him to bed a lot, bee themed gear
Ultimate: Swam- Tubbo fills the air around him with tiny bee bots that detonate on impacts. These linger in the area until the end of the round
Fundy Soot- Tank hero, has a fox themed mech and wears a fox helmet, Wilbur's very distanced son, joined the OW only to be his own person and be known as more then "Wilbur Soot's son", made the mech himself
Ultimate: Sneaky Fox- Fundy leaves his mech, sacrificing higher health for better movement speed and stealth
Jack Manifold- Damage hero, uses explosives, miraculous survivor of a gas expulsion when he was younger and started studying explosives to control what he fears, used to work with the Crimson/anyone that paid well until he grew a conscience
Ultimate: Spiteful- Upon dying, Jack fixes the enemy that killed him with sticky bombs. If they don't die in the next 15 seconds, the bombs go off
Other members of OW I need to work on: Eret, Puffy, Hbomb, Slimecicle, Niki and Foolish
The Crimson:
Wilbur Soot- Damage fighter, literally a dead man walking, wears a comedy mask and the trenchcoat, uses a gun that looks like a crossbow, has the lowest health in game
Ultimate: The Finale- He activates a huge explosion with him at the center. The line when it activates is "It was never meant to be".
Ranboo- Damage fighter, isn't there by choice, acts very much like a sniper, just wants to go home honestly
Ultimate: Enderwalk- Ranboo can teleport to any other loaction on the map, most useful when running from melee situations
Ponk- Support hero, bit of a mad scientist, Sam's ex, he can both poison people and heal people but causes very little direct damage
Ultimate: Scorned- he can create a lingering area of effect, enemies take damage and allies gain health
Dream- Support hero, literally in the Crimson for the chaos and the fact they fund his experiments, the one who brought Wilbur back, always wears his mask, heals and deals damage
Ultimate: Reoccurring Nightmare- He can revive fallen team members in the location they died with full HP and ammo
Other members of the Crimson that I need to work on: Bad, Skeppy, Ant and Hannah
Factionless:
Philza Craft- Damage fighter, winged sniper, faked his death to leave the OW, now works as a bounty hunter and assassin
Ultimate: Angel of Death- Phil flies above the battlefield to rain down explosives. He can't take damage during this.
Other factionless people I need to work on: Purpled, Quackity, Connor and Schlatt

🧁 BadBoyHalo reborn as a demon antagonist AU 🧁
This AU is part of the DSMP Reborn as a “villain” AU multiverse, the link shows the masterpost which explains the AUs & has the index for more AUs that I posted.
If an AU has no link attached, it's coming soon.
Holy crap I went hard for the angst on this one.
CWs for:
Non-consensual body modification (cause of the Egg), Parasites (because Egg), Loss of a limb (Not Egg's fault surprisingly), & Derealization in a paragraph
Let me know if I need to add any other CW or anything else.
--------------------
As a child Bad wakes up 1 day to learn that in his 1st life, he played a video game/read 2 novels where his current life, became 1 of the Demon Lords who willingly worshipped/was possessed by the Egg & worked for it. In fact OG him is the Egg's future 2nd in command & poses as the leader of the empire dedicated to it, & he was killed/defeated late in the story.
(Up to you if it's a game or novel, w/ a game maybe there's multiple routes/choices meaning multiple endings while w/ a novel, in canon the Demon Lords were all killed while in a spin-off they were just defeated not killed or maybe it's the other way around w/ the novels, or maybe it's a single novel w/ a mix of some Demon Lords dying while some survive.)
It was pretty ambiguous if some of the Demon Lords were wholy possessed or willingly worshiped the Egg w/o possession, or a mixture of the 2.
(If we want to we can have this world be the same world where Techno is reincarnated as Billiam, because then they could discover they're in the same boat & bond over it but I'm making those worlds/time periods seperate for this post.)
The Demon Lords & the Egg formed the Eggpire. 1 by 1 in the story they are killed/defeated by Puffy, Sam, &/or Technoblade, the protagonists. If the Demon Lords weren't killed they were defeated at a terrible cost for themselves & others.
Bad won't accept being a villain, or being killed or worshipping/being possessed by the Egg.
The good thing is that he remembered this before the Egg has enough power to get him & the other future Demon Lords under it, so he has time to plan. Actually Bad has a few decades to prepare!
On the off chance that the Egg possessed the lords, he wants to find the future Demon Lords & other major charaters so as to prevent that.
In the original story, Puffy & Sam are demons who betray the Eggpire which they help found early after it's formation due to realizing the Egg is bad. They flee, & later form 'Pro-Omelette' in opposition of it, w/ Technoblade joining their cause at some point in the story after OG Bad & the Egg fails to recruit him.
Unfortunatly, while fleeing, Puffy & Sam fail to do some things/do some things which they regret then & in the future that also has major consequences as they feared.
Another close ally is Hannah, a dryad/nymph who aids them w/ her powers. At some point the Eggpire captures her meaning she has to be saved & after that as the story progresses Sam, Puffy & maybe even Technoblade if he's also a demon starts feeling a strange kinship & repulsion towards & against her.
There's also the starborne mercenary Purpled who isn't willing to work w/ the Eggpire due to them taking his big sibling figure.
(Starborne means the starborne origins from the Origins mods for Minecraft).
Everyone has their own motifs, Puffy the sheep demon pirate has pirate & sheep motifs. Sam the creeper demon redstoner has a redstone motif. Techno has a pig motif. Purpled's motifs are stars, galaxy patterns & just anything to do w/ space.
Ponk, the chicken demon w/ a lemon (tree) & chicken motif is Sam's ex who was heartbroken by his sudden disappearance. He joined the very Eggpire Sam betrayed & had his heartbreak used to harden his resolve for the Egg's desires.
He is the 1st Demon Lord to be killed/defeated. If defeated he's turned against the Egg w/ the power of love leading to Sam & Ponk making up, maybe they never go back to dating or Ponk's ability to love was taken away by the Egg after he goes against it.
Maybe early in the fight Sam is holding back his emotions, cuts of Ponk's arm which leads to Ponk's reaction snapping Sam out of it & then Sam has to convince Ponk he geniunely loves him & regrets leaving him the rest of the fight, just angst.
(Sam saving Ponk from the Eggpire w/ the power of love only for Ponk losing the ability to love after betraying the Eggpire, oh yeah the angst).
If Ponk is killed, well Sam is extra vulnerable to the Egg's influence & risks getting brainwashes by it while carries the guilt of killing his lover w/o reconciling.
Maybe Ponk isn't killed but Sam's tunnel vision to defeat him causes Ponk to die of broken heart syndrome (maybe induced by the Egg?) oof & Sam regrets not contacting Ponk after escaping the Eggpire & forming Pro-Omelette & is extra vulnerable to the Egg.
Also there's these these flowers called Carnations that have different meanings depending on color, maybe the 2 have a shared magical carnation flower that Sam ends up taking w/ him while fleeing from the Egg, so the dark red flower (love & affection) becomes almost fully yellow (disapointment & rejection) which makes Sam truly realize the extent of what he's done by leaving Ponk w/o like a note on what's going on.
Maybe to Sam's horror the flower sometimes flashes to being striped (regret love can't be shared) before going back to being yellow w/ a tiny bit of dark red some where.
During the battle, if Sam manages to convince Ponk to defect from the Egg, the flower flashes fully dark red but then the Egg take Ponk's ability to love. This takes away Ponk's connection to the flower making it half dead & the flower permanently is striped.
If we go the route of Ponk's death, the flower doesn't flash dark red at all, it goes from yellow to striped when Ponk dies, disconnecting his magic to the flower making the flower half dead.
Punz is next to go, they are a human mercenary turned into a demon after joining the Eggpire be it because of possession or there being promising gains of wealth from joining the Eggpire. He has a wealth motif.
Since Punz was turned by the Egg, he has Blood Vine's for horns & said vines for a tail.
Punz fights his own brother & talks about how the money is worth more than Purpled, how they don't love Purpled, etc., which Purpled refuses to believe is true.
Punz either dies (meaning a grieving Purpled for the rest of the story vulnerable to the Egg) or ends up in a coma (extra angsty if Purpled thinks he it himself).
Purpled is scared for his big sibling's health, will they be okay when the Egg dies? Well, after the Egg's defeat Punz wakes up some point afterwards but his health is awful, said awful health will last a long time & they can never do mercenary work again, both he & Purpled are distraught by this.
Punz's demon features are especially sickly & act like a parasite for a while before just dying. Punz basically didn't/couldn't have his connection to the Egg & his new demonhood removed, now he's here w/ maybe chronic fatigue because the Egg seriously fucks people over even in death.
Skeppy, a blue-turned-red diamond golem-turned-demon, goes down after Punz's defeat. Skeppy has a gem motif, & in the past made a purely proffesional deal w/ OG Bad, while OG Bad would forfeit his immortality to make Skeppy harder for death to claim, & as a result became a demon, Skeppy would provide OG Bad w/, let's say 1/2 of the gems & riches he owned.
Remember that if Skeppy dies, Bad dies but Bad can't die w/o Skeppy dying 1st.
Skeppy basically helps fund the Eggpire. When the Egg decides to give Skeppy some demon stuff itself, Skeppy not only is made of red diamonds now, but his body is cracked if not before & there are roots & flowers sticking out of said cracks.
Skeppy joins the Eggpire because of possession &/or promises of an even longer life through a connection w/ 2 demons.
After his defeat, the Eggpire is more desperate than ever due to losing a big funder, putting effort into getting Skeppy back. The vines also act parasitic after the Egg's fall before dying but not w/o Skeppy's mind & body being damaged by the vines.
If Skeppy is killed then OG Bad's connection to the Egg is the only thing keeping him alive if barely meaning Bad's easier to kill & the Eggpire more desperate than in the route Skeppy lives.
Antfrost, the demon w/ a cat, ant & ice motifs, the '2nd in command' of the Eggpire to the everyone. Only alone w/ the Egg & OG Bad is he called the 3rd in command since that's what he truly was.
If Ant is killed/defeated, OG Bad has to deal w/ getting a new “2nd” in command, this time keeping her in the shadows so as to keep her from being taken on by Pro-Omelette. Security is tightened as much as it can be.
The Eggpire becomes even more stressed if Ant is defeated & is w/ Pro-Omelette 1 way or another because Ant knows a lot of stuff they'd rather never get out.
If Ant's defeated & a prisoner of the protagonists, maybe they get some info from him but soon he is released by a traitor but as he escapes he winds up stranded somewhere in a place that won't be kind to him unaware of how to get back to the Eggpire. Perhaps for the rest of the story.
At this point Pro-Omelette also tighten security since they have a traitor in their ranks.
Althought Hannah is acting suspicious, she isn't like vanishing at random times or acting that off so they can't exactly suspect her. She's got sick this once & has been pretty unwell but who can blame her? So many of her flowers got destroyed & leeched off of in Ant's escape.
The demons of Pro-Omelette are feeling a strange repulsion against her but also a strange kinship towards her.
If Skeppy is dead, Bad when being confronted by the enemy instantly is sapped of all his power & life left since the Egg realizes it's about to loose him. Or his connection to the Egg is severed by Pro-Omellete before it can happen leading to him naturally dying.
If Skeppy isn't dead however, Bad is captured but not w/o the Egg taking all the power it can from him severely weakening him on a level of power & health.
OG Bad was a very powerful demon & so if Skeppy lives, the Egg gets a major power boost before his capture, but in the route of Skeppy's death, the Egg doesn't get that much since it had to keep Bad from dying.
After Bad is down, Hannah goes missing again & there are 2 groups, 1 to find Hannah & the other to take down the Egg once & for all.
Either 1 or both groups find the Egg & to their horror they find out since Hannah's 1st capture the Egg brainwashed her, has been leaching off of her & replaced the flowers she wears w/ it's vines.
The Egg holds Hannah's life over them. If the Egg took the power of OG Bad in the route Skeppy lives it's much for difficult to try & defeat the Egg & save Hannah.
Also the Egg turned Hannah into a demon that has the power to grow vines & flowers. She's powerful but even more if Skeppy lives.
Egged!Hannah does a number on Pro-Omelette. She goes as far as to maim, kill controlling the vines & worm parasitic plants in people. The Egg has these powers too.
There are 4 directions at this point.
Pro-Omelette succesfully kills the Egg while getting Hannah out of it's grasp in the process, of course there's the parasitic plants & other damage done to the protagonists' side as well as Hannah who's health is super fucked liked many in the final battle (it's kinda like what happens to Punz if he lives).      Like Hannah who was turned into some egg-demon who's egg-demon parts act like parasites & others w/ the parasitic plants in them have to deal w/ the plants till said parasites die & even then there's the stuff to deal /w the parasites deaths.
Hannah is killed by the Egg sapping everything from her & fighting w/ all it's new might but still killed. The damage done to everyone else is significantly worse.      I'm not even accounting for the background characters brainwashed, genuinly worshipping the Egg dealing w/ the fall of the Egg, the aftermath, etc.
The Egg & Egged!Hannah win, some Pro-Omelette members in battle are killed while the rest are captured to be egged.
Hannah dies to the Egg sapping everything from her & the Egg wins w/ it's rejuvenated power. Many Pro-Omelette members in battle are killed while the rest are captured to be egged.      Basically 3 & 4 are the bad endings, while 1 & 2 are the 'good endings.'
As I said before, there's so much I'm not considering. I can't bring myself to further work on the canon of the game/novel(s) Bad played before being isekaied.
But yeah the game/novels were full of angst & Bad was super into it so he wants to give everyone (especially his favorite character(s)) a happy ending.
People around Bad notice he's changed his behavior but lets say it's not enough to warrant any investigation.
Bad starts studying defensive magic since he doesn't want to die, he also learns all he can about summoning, deals w/ summoners, etc.. While he's at it he's tracking down all the major characters & is going to make sure they know what he's learned to prevent any possession.
When Bad finds the major characters, he becomes close friends to them but he's still nervous at the idea that the people he's befriending like Sam, Puffy & co. will kill/maim him.
Or we could have it so that Bad becomes cofortable w/ his friends & confessed about having a past life & all the knowledge of future events he has. You're choice.
When Skeppy summons him & he makes the deal w/ Skeppy he makes sure to hang around his #1 favorite character because, in his 1st life Bad loved Skeppy's character & now he has the chance to geniunely know & become friends w/ Skeppy. Skeppy even warms up to Bad & geniunely begins seeing him a a friend!
Uh, I didn't exactly develop the world much, oops, let's say that Bad is born into a high enough position to change the living conditions of those of lower class of those around him.
Bad out of fear of the Egg makes sure as many people as possible have the common sense to not do anything stupid, has the knowledge & defense to not get possessed, & more, regardless of whatever barriers are in his way.
Since the Egg makes promises, he makes sure to nip that bud as much as he can, such as making sure that even in death, loved ones can communicate via like necromancy/something else, everybody has their needs met, prejudices are squashed as much as possible, etc.
Bad, while earning the ire of many who liked things the way they were, also earns the support of those who benifited from his actions. He also actually listens to what people are saying because he can't let the Egg have any chances.
The main cast of the game/novel(s) Bad read also help out, even more if Bad confessess about his past life.
(The next paragraph has some derealization, said section of derealization being in bold.)
If we want angst, we could have Bad (& co. if they know?) overworking themselves sometimes because the Egg can't have any chances, maybe sometimes he (& others) can't go to bed because he/she/they are terrified of the Egg, terrified of it, worried about the Egg already being here, worried about the Egg already somehow possibly controlling & possessing them & already being possessed, sometimes wondering if their own mind & eyes can be trusted—
On the bright side we can hopefully have some comfort & fluff after that angst & hurt.
Also there's this 1 guy also helping Bad out as much as the main cast called Karl, he disappears at random times but by the looks of it, he isn't connected to the Egg in any way & is really helpful so there's not much to worry about.

today i was so exited i made a dsmp hannibal au, at the expense of my friend ollie to whom i texted all of it as i thought. anyway, here it is
phil and techno as a duo of serial killers- phil hasn't been discovered, has connections and shit, but techno has
except he has all his millionaires so he's never caught
schlatt's heart being eaten by quackity is thought to be a ripper case at first
dream may or may not be a serial killer but his family's so fucking shady that you know something is going on
sapnap as a serial arsonist
karl documents serial killers- that's how he, sapnap, and quackity meet
they like him and his work so much that their entire community agrees to leave him alone
all the totsmp versions of techno are just his disguises when travelling between millionaires
the egg might be a drug empire
or a cult
bad and skeppy are co-leaders- you could make that play off so badly
skeppy was abducted and stockholmed into it so when bad went to rescue him it went bad
(hah)
anyway so bad decides to join it to be w skeppy and take it over to make it better for him
ant joined with bad
hbomb is just out there cheerfully being a cat maid who's bffs with serial killers
he might not know but it's unlikely so it seems he just doesn't give a shit
foolish is a contract killer. he's just an architect and builder normally but he's got connections and it's easy enough for him
bench trio are fbi interns who are helping w the cases
wilbur was an agent who turned serial killer after schlatt threw him out- he briefly regained the position when he died but used it to set explosives in the base
phil's his mentor- fakes his death, sets him up with a new id, new life, the works
dream is still not confirmed killer or anything but he delights in gaslighting kids so he does that while going in and out of fbi
i feel like ghostbur could be incorporated if you include will graham's encephalitis- oh shit, fundy
not tommy- it'd be cool but maybe just as general nightmares, but fundy sees shit that's not there in canon
he has his mentor/pseudo father figure haunting him
pupled’s dad might or might not have been arrested for several murders that made him determined not to be like him- however he just picked up a job at Las Nevadas and it’s not looking pretty
charlie- i feel like you could play off charlie’s character in so many directions, but i want to make him a cartoonish henchman so badly just bc it’d be such a jarring break from format and it allows me not to have to give him a tragic backstory. however he is an illegal immigrant and got all his ids and papers from quackity. this is both bc i want big q to name him and bc the ”i’m bones and meat! i’m so much bones!” gag makes me laugh hysterically
sam’s still a warden, but i can’t decide if it’s better to have him as a normal warden or a criminally insane hospital warden
dream was in prison at some point and i will not elaborate
ranboo might also have encephalitis! i think i’m smart. also two ppl having the same sickness at around the same time would be nuts and smth nobody would think would happen, besides being funny for me personally.
punz’s deal is exactly the same. this man is delightful i don’t have to do anything
might expand more on this later! there’s still so many details to play around with

I got bored last night and realized I’d never seen a Swap AU for the Dream SMP so I decided to think one up. Just cause I was bored. Some of these swaps were way more obvious than others and some I’m still not sure about so I’d love to hear suggestions.
Character swaps below-
Dream - George: Let’s get some of the obvious out of the way, DreamNotFound is too easy of a swap. Most characters switch their attire around to match their swap persona but Dream and George keep their mask and goggles respectively. Naturally it’s now called the George SMP and the infamous Dream smily face is replaced with George’s goggles.
Tommy - Tubbo: Maybe even more obvious, the Clingy Duo gets swapped. Not too much of a change, just two feral boys being their feral selves except now Tubbo’s the more bold one wearing a white shirt with green sleeves and Tommy’s his bestfriend wearing a red, button up shirt.
Bad - Skeppy: I almost swapped Bad with Ant just because of the Eggpire but then I realized that was stupid and Skeppy was standing right there.
Wilbur - Schlatt: The season 1 villains get swapped with each other, fitting with how often they were brought up together in season two. Schlatt is now the founder and 1st president of Manberg and when Wilbur takes over he changes it to L’Manberg to make it sound more Eurpeon.
Technoblade - Philza: These best buds of course get swapped, when Wilbur takes over Manberg Tubbo calls his old friend, Phil, to come help deal with his son. And Technoblade has some sort of new, past bond with Schlatt to make his arrival still impactful. And instead of an Anarchist fueled rage, Phil is driven to vengeance after Wilbur dies, believing the war caused his heart attack.
Niki - Jack Manifold: I had SO much trouble figuring out who to swap Niki with because she just had too many canidates! In the end I swapped her with Jack simply because I couldn’t think of anyone better to swap him with. I’d also add that Jack becomes close friends with Schlatt so that we can have that same mental breakdown Niki had when she saw Ghostbur but now with Jack and Glatt.
Sapnap - Quackity: I’m a little unsure about some of these next ones, I figured two of the more prominent figures in the El Rapids arc should be swapped, plus they’re still fiances.
Sam - Ponk: Recently found out AweSamPonk was a thing, plus I’ve seen Ponk and Sam in a weird game of cat and mouse for a while now so I figure this swap would work.
Punz - Purpled: I’ll be honest, I really don’t know much about these two aside from they’re both hired guns and people headcanon them as brothers, so swap it is.
Fundy - Ranboo: They might not interact much anymore but these guys had a thing going on for a while. I’m keeping relationships the same so I figure the platonic marraige of Tubbo and Ranboo just happens faster in Manberg. Plus Fundy joining right after Manberg vs Pogtopia works as a way for him to come and mourn his father who had just died of a heart attack.
Eret - Foolish: Okay I only came up with this one after all the lore that Foolish apparently knew Eret years ago. Two possibly immortal gods with a knack for building switch places.
Puffy - HBomb: Once I ruled out the Puffychu swap HBomb was sorta all I had left. But it fits! The Knights of Eret swap places, now the Knights of Foolish, plus they’ve both dressed up as maids.
Karl - Connor: I very unfortunately haven’t had time to catch up on Tales but from what I understand Connor’s been playing a role in it so I thought swapping him and Karl would work.
Alyssa - Callahan: Natural fit. Need I say more.
Vikkstar - Lazarbeam: Kinda forgot they were in the SMP but since they’re on the wiki I’ve included them.
Ant - Hannah: I ran out of ideas. I had absolutely no idea where to put either of these two and I ran out of people to swap with so they get swapped out of necessity.
Slimecicle - Mexican Dream: This was just cause it was funny AND I needed a last spot for Charlie. Plus it kinda works, hardly lore relevent, funny, green men. Though hilariously Mexican Dream is becoming much more lore relevent.

In my opinion how DreamSMP season 2 should have started. This is essentially the Crimson Egg plot if it was the main storyline. (Just pretend that all the new characters from Philza to Ranboo all joined straight after the war) This isn't meant to offend or exclude anyone I just think it'd be nice for someone other than a SBI member to be the main character. I know not all of SMP want to get involved with the plot and roleplay but just pretend they do.
Also this is a rough idea that is based purely on how much I remember from various streams and tweets. This is in no way perfect it's just a fun idea. I wanted to see how the plot could have been if a different storyline was front and center.
So Wilbur blew up L'Manberg, Techno spawned withers, Wilbur and Schlatt died. That's all the same however Tommy and Ranboo don't destroy George's house, Tommy doesn't get exiled etc.
The ending of season 2 was everyone being split up and a lot of different factions of people. (L'Manberg, Badlands, Boomerville, Team Chaos, etc)
The next plotline starts with everyone dealing with the aftermath of L'Manberg being destroyed so for example SBI are grieving Wilbur.
A group of people try to distract themselves by starting to rebuild L'Manberg (Niki, Tubbo, Fundy, Ranboo, Puffy, Hbomb, Purpled, Ponk, Eret)
Dream Punz and Sapnap remove Schlatt's body and move it out of site so people aren't going to be more traumatized.
George finishes his little lesbian mushroom cottage.
Everyone else either hangs around helping when needed or goes for a small walk.
The Badlands(Bad, Skeppy, Sam, Ant) decide to distract themselves by continuing to dig out the big statue room beside the spider farm only when they enter they notice a corner of the wall being covered in something Crimson.
They plan on telling everyone but keep a secret for now since everything that's just happened seems more important.
An undisclosed amount of time passes and L'Manberg looks like a functional place, people are healing and 2 funerals are held. SBI have a private one for Wilbur only allowing Niki, Fundy and Tubbo to join. Whilst Schlatt's funeral is a chaotic dumpster fire with people stealing body parts and trying to trade and sell them for a lot of money.
Bad Ant and Sam all keep an eye on the Crimson after noticing that it's growing. Sam accidentally tells Punz who in turn tells Dream so now The Badlands, Punz and Dream know about the strange Crimson thing.
Punz and Sam try to destroy the crimson after getting concerned at how fast it's growing. Only for Bad to turn and attack them for hurting the 'egg'. Everytime someone threatens the egg Bad becomes violent no matter who they are. Ant also quickly starts to act the same as Bad threatening to blow up Sam's base if he touched the egg. But the minute the egg is safe Bad is back to normal.
The next to know about the egg is Niki and Puffy they're inside the flower shop when the notice a red stem. This is the first time the egg seems to have appeared in a new place over than the statue room. Puffy doesn't think anything is wrong with the egg and gets annoyed when Niki suggests removing it from the shop.
Next to notice it is Ponk, Hbomb and Sapnap who all see Schlatt's grave being over taken by some red vines. Like Bad, Ant and Puffy Ponk becomes protective of it.
Sapnap tells Dream who in turn has to tell the rest of the server that places are quickly being taken over by a crimson egg and crimson vines. He warns that people can be possessed/hypnotized by the egg and everyone should stay clear and tell him if they spot any. Tommy and Tubbo mention that they saw red stems around Targay.
In an effort to stop the vines growing a team lead by Sapnap attempts to blow up and destroy the vines by Targay only for a group of people consisting of Bad, Ponk, Ant, Puffy, Karl, George, Fundy, Ranboo and Eret to start throwing raw meat and flesh at the attempted destruction chanting about "healing and protecting"
Techno, Skeppy and Quackity come up with a plan to incase the egg in obsidian as it's harder to break and might be the only item other than bedrock to block the eggs weird hypnotizing power.
After covering the egg in obsidian majority of the people who were previously desperate to protect the egg were wanting to help destroy it.
Dream then commissions Sam to build the Pandora's vault under the guise that it's a fail safe for keeping the possessed people secure incase they turn feral so they can't blow people's houses up.
A small volunteer team decide to take samples of the egg to try to understand and figure out the egg and how it works. How to free the possessed people. How it infects and alters blocks and objects. If it has requirements in order to grow so if they environment is changed then the egg can't survive.
Niki and a few others begin to build an underground city that's incased in obsidian for people to retreat to if things go wrong.
To be continued when I get the chance. It might be a cliffhanger for a while. Please share opinions and ideas though.

i uh. realized people follow me now because of uh. you’re human tonight on ao3 asdjgfs
i have content!! behind the scenes content as promised. i do outlines for my fics as a general rule of thumb just because i personally can’t write things to a satisfying finish if i don’t Do That, and so - here are my chapter/plot outlines for you’re human tonight ^^ (i have no idea if this is interesting content or not i thought i’d put it out there because i think outlines are kinda fun hhhh)
chap 1 fundy
subtitle: an inkling
fundy makes an iron golem gone wrong, dream makes it go boom
chap 2 purpled
subtitle: uh oh social interaction
purpled shelters a fugitive, gets his house explosion-proofed as thanks
this is probably gonna be the only chapter with a funny title hh oh well
update: it’s not and i’m pleased with myself for branching out with my dry humor
chap 3 sapnap
subtitle: dust to dust
sapnap’s dying via wither effect, and he knows respawn’s around the corner but goddamn if it doesn’t hurt til then. dream skids in around the nether fortress corner, drops all his weapons cradles sapnap’s head in his hands, has always taken death much harder than anyone sapnap’s ever met. at the last few seconds, when death creeps up like a shroud, dream starts to hum to him hoarsely, pressing his forehead to sapnap’s, and in the final moments sapnap doesn’t hurt at all. the last thing he hears is dream whimpering. he visits dream’s bunker the next day, knocks on the door over and over, but there’s no sign of life there. sapnap shrugs, bites his lip out of guilt for forcing dream to sit there watching him die (if temporarily), and moves on.
the chapter that introduces dream’s primary ability of soothing hurts. put a lot of emphasis on the fact that sapnap ached up until the moment dream started humming, because for dream to do that is pretty frivolous considering once sapnap died he’d respawn and the hurt would just disappear but dream wanted sapnap to have a peaceful last few seconds. emphasize how abnormal it is that withering stops hurting.
chap 4 ponk
subtitle: beaches dry of sugarcane
dream visits ponk after george burns down the first tree. when ponk arrives to the second tree to move in, he realized dream made the tree flourish, grow healthier and bigger.
chap 5 sam
subtitle: fuck this shit i’m out (edit: the official subtitle is “oh god oh fuck”, i changed it last-minute)
dream picks sam’s brain for manhunt strategies while the latter is mining for redstone. sam stumbles upon a spawner and reels back, trips, nearly misses the moment dream sweeps him behind him and his eyes flash beneath the mask and when sam gets back up, dazed, there’s nothing but the splay of cobwebs all over the walls.
chap 6 punz
subtitle: lines drawn
in an unrelated skirmish, punz drives his sword up to the hilt in dream’s chest, relying on respawn for dream to not feel any pain and for punz to get paid. dream doesn’t die. this is understandably alarming.
can we get some funnies in chap? just a few laughs?? a lil funny for mr luke punz man?
can we get some panicky dry humor for real tho because punz strikes me as someone who copes with morbid humor and dream spluttering up blood is def a situation that punz would not know how to deal with
chap 7 wilbur
subtitle: so about that date
wilbur makes platonic moves on dream while dream fake texts his fiance under the table. wilbur also accidentally vents to dream about his little brother tommy and how afraid he is that tommy will get himself hurt for how reckless he is. dream siphons some of his anxiety from him, smiles as they depart from one another. wilbur notes that dream is shaking when they leave.
chap 8 skeppy
subtitle: get wrecked noob
dream walks skeppy through some pvp. when skeppy demands a rematch w tommy and gets a lil stage fright kinda sorta thing, dream siphons his anxiety and his nerves and goes full soccer mom with bad and skeppy loses 5-2 but like!! he won!! against tommyinnit!! HH
is there any mental image nearly as powerful as dream wastaken, the soccer mom
chap 9 jack
subtitle: mandatory volunteering
after tommy goes on another one of his destructive rampages lmao, dream enlists jack, newest-comer, to help him rebuild stuff bc underclassmen have to do whatever upperclassmen tell them to do thems just the rules. after rebuilding a statue near the community house, dream pats it fondly, and when tommy sneaks back to set in on fire for shits and giggles, he finds that it’s fuckin fireproofed AGAIN
rebuild efforts, i promised monuments rebuilt so thats what theyre gonna fuckin Get
chap 10 antfrost
subtitle: twist the knife
ant on what ends up being an unpublicized manhunt: dream stops the manhunt because he’s triggered a raid and by the time the hunters get there, alarmed by the screaming and the fire and dream’s unresponsiveness, the villagers are all dead and there are raider corpses everywhere and dream is lying near the bell on his side, whimpering. (what the hunters don’t know - dream tried to fight off the raid but was overwhelmed and witnessed the village get slaughtered, he took the pain of the villagers that weren’t dead but were dying.)
segment: There’s a reason they do the manhunts, and it’s not just for them to horse around and try to kill one another for a few days. Antfrost is the newcomer but he’s always been good at reading people and from the outset he knew that Dream was someone filled to the brim with the restlessness that characterizes humans, that never-settling wanderlust, and his brain works too fast for the rest of his body sometimes, and he just needs an outlet. It’s part of why he eggs Tommy on in their little war games, why he holds onto those discs even though he doesn’t need them, why he gets that delighted look on his face when someone tells him that Tommy’s griefed them or stolen from them or otherwise ruined their morning. Antfrost thinks the only times he’s ever really seen Dream silent, Dream waiting, Dream unmoving, are when Dream is
chap 11 karl
subtitle: head in the shallows
karl, sapnap, george, and dream have a sleepover after mcc 11. karl, nearest to dream, wakes up when dream starts tossing and turning from a nightmare. when he tries to shake dream awake, dream’s eyes fly open and he slams his fist into the wall behind him and the earth, the literal earth, the entire slab of it, shudders like an earthquake. sapnap and george sleep like the dead, so it’s just karl and dream staring at one another. finally karl asks, concerned, “do you want some tea or water or anything?”
chap 12 hbomb
subtitle: a maid’s burden
“i want to dress up as a maid for fundy,” says hbomb with false bravado. fundy’s fiance levels a very impassive look at him for an awkward minute or two and just when hbomb thinks he’s misread dream and fundy’s relationship dream says “i’ll get you a wig” and the entire chapter is just dream idly twisting the fabric of reality to get hbomb the items he needs to put the outfit together
pranks, i promised pranks, theyre gonna get pranks
chap 13 alyssa
subtitle: message in a bottle (edit: official subtitle is “ship in a bottle”)
alyssa’s leaving, at least temporarily.
alyssa tells dream it’s getting dangerous on his server, doesn’t relish the expression that brings to his face, but he holds her hands and nods and bids her safe journey. when alyssa returns, running for something (later we’ll learn she had heard that dream was bad, that he might be dying), she finds that her house is completely inaccessible by everyone save her, placed in complete stasis by someone.
start of the chapters leading up to festival arc. build unresolved tension in this one.
chap 14 niki
subtitle: life doesn’t discriminate
wilbur and tommy are relentless, they waste no time; niki is willing to wait for it.
the night before the duel, she goes to dream and holds a sword to his throat and demands he call it off, even though she knows it’ll mean little because of respawn, tells him she won’t stop hunting him down until he gives up l’manberg. dream smiles a little sadly and pats her hand and her fright, her rage, it simmers back down, and the anger that had swarmed her and made dream out to be the devil dies down until it’s just her friend, who was playing along with tommy til it got serious and he got cocky, who’s just as in over his head as she is, and maybe niki’s soft but she likes that about herself, that she’s always the first to forgive. niki is looking at the healing cut on dream’s neck, uncovered by any bandages, when dream shoots tommy, a clean shot that causes no suffering.
a long chapter, probably. i think at some point in this i want to mention niki’s respect for dream for apologizing during the first pet war, for not letting things get any bigger until fundy came back. some parallels can be drawn here - that dream let the fire die down in the initial stages of the pet war, that dream won’t let go of the l’manberg war now, and it occurs to niki that she doesn’t know dream nearly as well as she thinks she does if she expected him to act exactly the way he did during the pet war. she’s got what she’s wanted - dream’s remorse, proof of dream’s humanity - even though it’s not in the form niki wanted it.
chap 15 eret
subtitle: crown of thorns
the king in name only consults with the true leader.
they’re both upset about pogtopia’s exile, eret arguably more so because they think their early betrayal of l’manberg somehow butterfly-effected into the current dumpster fire, and as they talk eret works themself into a full panic attack reflecting on things that were, things that could’ve been - and the tide washes out all of a sudden, and eret’s left with the same looming hollowness they’d been feeling before, no dregs of the panic, they’ve never had a panic attack that left them feeling normal after - but dream is now wheezing like he’s about to die and eret immediately walks him through the panic attack, levelheaded even as they’re confused out of their mind.
chap 16 quackity
subtitle: water to blood
quackity is a snake in the grass.
quackity at schlatt’s side during the few weeks of his presidency. he knows schlatt from before, has been his friend, so he knows when his friend is acting off. the cynical, straight-faced humor is still there, his completely bland delivery and brazen showmanship, but it’s twisted to the left somehow, to make it so that those qualities that make up his friend have rotted, hurt people. quackity eventually goes to dream after schlatt first overdoses with a lot of questions, maybe even to confess that his allegiance has begun to shift because he can’t go to pogtopia and he can’t go to schlatt - and dream just gives him a long, sad look before lightly patting quackity’s shoulder and says “i can’t guarantee anything - just that you’ll be safe” and shooing him off and as quackity heads back to manberg he realises all the hostile mobs are avoiding him like the fucking plague.
it’s big q!!!! fattest ass in the cabinet!!!!! pog!!!
fun fact this chapter’s subtitle was almost “chekhov’s gun” until november fucking 16th of 2020
chap 17 tommy
subtitle: most disputes die and no one shoots
tommy learns how a legacy dies.
a compendium of tommy watching the madness consume wilbur. it needs to be emphasized in this chapter that wilbur becomes an entirely different person when they’re ejected from manberg, that he becomes obsessed with the legacy he’s created and watching it crumble is what twists him; when dream gives tommy his crossbow, tommy, out of desperation and a need to have an older sibling again, asks what’s wrong with wilbur; dream’s face hardens and he asks tommy to take dream to wilbur. it’s a terse meeting, the only one they have before techno and before wilbur completely loses it and demands the tnt; wilbur says a lot of things tommy doesn’t understand (it’s complex mythological jargon hinting at dream’s status as a god but could be misconstrued to refer to dream’s status as simply the world owner) and at one point wilbur sneers, “are you trying to play god, dream?” and dream lurches forward and grabs wilbur by the wrist, and there’s a completely silent moment where tommy feels the air suck out of his lungs and there’s an off buzzing in his ears and he fancies he hears something that sounds, just a bit, like dream, whispering desperately wilbur wilbur wilbur it’s me it’s me listen listen listen then a shrieking, acrid wave of no and tommy reels back and when he looks up dream has staggered back, his hand to his mouth, blood dripping from somewhere beneath his mask, sounding like he’s gagging or maybe he’s sobbing, as wilbur shrieks in a voice that is entirely not his “get out get out if i can’t have l’manberg...” and tommy understands, finally, as dream sprints out. that’s not wilbur.
a distinction needs to be made perfectly clear in this chapter, as with schlatt’s chapter: it’s not them. they’ve been twisted out of control by something bigger than them, something that wants to toy with the young god running an oasis of peace for his people. it doesn’t need to be outright said in this fic; in another we can delve into the madness and who did it and why. for now, just make it clear it’s not explicitly anyone’s fault.
chap 18 techno
subtitle: colosseum
dream had to let techno in first, you know.
techno and dream have interacted often - the duel, the championships, they’re friends more than acquaintances now. but techno was called in by someone wearing his brother’s face that he honestly doesn’t recognize from his voice and when he arrives at spawn, before tommy fetches him, he sees dream sitting cross legged waiting for him and they talk about the situation, dream giving techno a quick brief. when tommy comes, crying “techno, this way, this way to pogtopia”, and crossbow bolts are being fired at techno, dream gives him a lil wave goodbye (or what techno thinks is a lil wave goodbye but what actually turns out to be putting a swiftness effect on him).
“that’s not my brother, dream,” says techno, and dream’s mouth wobbles and he says, hoarse, “i know.”
techno Suspects, but only knows that dream has world-manipulating powers and thus standard minor god powers. he doesn’t let dream know he suspects.
chap 19 bad
subtitle: run devil run
bad trusts dream, perhaps against his better judgement.
dream comes to visit bad and skeppy on neutral grounds in the interim leading up to the festival that everyone on the server is side-eyeing and side-stepping. bad considers his friend and the owner of the world as he gives dream an impromptu tour through the escape route he and skeppy have dug out, wonders with a little reproach how dream could let things get to this point, then, soft, gentle as always, acknowledges that dream is only human kindly. when he says that, though, dream’s face crumples, as though those words hurt him more than any criticism bad’s given him in the time he’s known him, as though bad had driven a blade into his heart, and bad doesn’t understand but he lets dream run away from that. when a small flock of creepers explode over the tunnel the night before the festival and bad grumbles that he has to fix it, he learns dream left him with a fortified escape tunnel.
a/n: i’m sure the irony isn’t lost on you.
chap 20 tubbo
subtitle: cadmean victory
what say the sacrificial lamb?
tubbo is coming to terms with the fact that he might not make it out of office in one piece and it’s not his first time respawning but the older members of the server always, always did their best to shield the younger ones from death. he runs into dream by complete coincidence while he’s avoiding pogtopia (mostly wilbur) and manberg (mostly schlatt), caught between two strangers wearing his friends’ faces. he looks at dream, who looks back at him impassively, and tubbo starts to cry, because it finally hits him that even with his death and respawn nothing will be fixed, nothing can change, the poison’s run too deep into the veins of dream’s beautiful little world and now nothing can be right anymore and it feels like he’s shattering into tiny, aching shards - and then dream kneels before him, takes his hands, presses his forehead to them, sighs like his heart’s breaking, and tubbo feels a small calm thread back into him as dream stands abruptly, jittery. dream, with hands that shake, grips tubbo’s shoulder, hovers for a second, then his head jerks up and he bolts into the forest, clambering up a tree with admirable ease and disappearing away into the leaves as schlatt suddenly emerges from the bushes nearby with a joyous, plastic “hey! tubbo!”
chap 21 george
subtitle: lantern burns low
a moment in the night; george is visited by a specter.
dream comes, pale, and asks george if there is anything wrong, is everything okay with you? takes george’s caught-off-guard face in his hands and says george george george, are you - and george catches a glimpse of dream’s powers (is he safe safe does he hurt no but fear but anxiety there are dregs hush now quiet now he is safe all quiet quiet quiet he’s safe) and he says, stricken even as the constant thrum of nervous energy he’d kept with him fades out, “dream what was that,” and dream presses his hands to his mask where his eyes are and says, despairingly, “they don’t get to have you too,” and staggers back out.
george is the first person dream overtly “comes out” to. this is also why george doesn’t see dream til the festival.
chap 22 schlatt
subtitle: the empty throne
dream visits schlatt in his office.
schlatt, possessed by madness, has no idea what he’s saying but it feels right, it’s exactly right, everything is in his hands, and when dream approaches, his hands facing up, is he there is he there yes yes yes tainted polluted this is twisted this is madness madness madness dream reels back, shaking, and schlatt leans in and leers, not even knowing what he’s saying, “you can’t even fix it, young god,” and relishes the way all the color drains from dream’s face.
=)
chap 23 dream (edit: this monster ended up being split into three for pacing purposes and also if i left it together it was gonna be. h. 14K WORDS. also the drama of a cliffhanger at what most people thought was going to be the last chapter was too good to pass up don’t @ me
subtitle: do you feel like a young god?
running, running, running again
finale!! dream takes everyone’s old hurts into himself, takes the madness from schlatt and wilbur, promptly passes the hell out because no one should be doing that, wakes up, gets the shit hugged out of him, and explains a little, and gets told that he’s loved over and over.
i uh! take questions! i like talking about this story, there’s a lot i still want to show, and even apart from that i just really love mcyt haha

Lost Hope AU
This AU is formed around a very vengeful George.
Tumblr media
He seeks revenge for those who had killed off his best friends; Dream and Sapnap. Donning Sapnap’s bandana and shirt, as well as Dream’s hoodie and mask, these items are the last he has of his deceased friends.
The man behind the death of his friends is nonother than Schlatt, who was resurrected by Quackity, in hopes of trying to puppet the man. After failing to do so, Schlatt once again took over L’Manberg, dubbing it ‘Manberg 2.0′.
He threatened anyone who get’s in his way. He has claimed that the Dream Team is dead, for they all died that day. George isn’t the same, and may never be the same again.
..
During these events, when a festival goes down in the new Manberg, George decides to strike, though fails horribly and is in the end, at Schlatt’s feet, on the verge of death.
Quackity regrets everything. He has regretted bringing Schlatt back due to the fact things didn’t go his way. So, he tries to help George, but is in the end, hurt as well.
Once everyone saw what was happening, they are forced to watch helplessly as things go down. Though, just before Schlatt kills off George... Technoblade swoops in to stop things.
..
There is a gap during this time, where Techno takes George in. Seeing the broken man, he offers a bit of support, despite their differences. He knows George want’s revenge, so he will support whatever anarchy George has to offer. So, he helps George back to health, with the help of Philza, Tommy and Wilbur (after they escaped Manberg 2.0).
George becomes close with the bunch, each week of training, they all become stronger and bond more together. It’s a weird family dynamic, but it works for them all. More so, a teacher-student bond forms between Technoblade and George. Techno teaches what he can to George, while George learns it all. He finds a higher level of appreciation towards Techno during these days, and on some occasions, calls him sensei or teacher.
..
After what seems like years of training, there comes a point in time where they fight Schlatt at the End Portal, the Portal now activated. George discovered that Schlatt has a book of resurrections and wishes to take it, in hopes of getting his friends back. Yet, he would need to betray Technoblade in order to get it. Meaning, he would need to throw Techno into the end with little to nothing.
There is a huge standoff, and for a moment, Techno believes George accepts the deal. But he doesn’t. Techno is stunned by the actions performed by George, going as far as to even quote his saying. George ends up throwing Schlatt into the void of the portal, as well as releasing the book with him.
..
The war for them has won. The evil was now banished to the realms of the End and everyone in the Dream SMP and Manberg 2.0 were free.
Techno wakes up home, with Philza shaking him awake, and Tommy and Tubbo by his side. He has no recollection on what happened and how he got here... all that he knows is that George isn’t with him. And that worries him.
..
So far, up to this point, everyone has no clue as to what happened to George, and have no clues as to where he is. George is missing.
---------- some fics/drabbles around this au below the line ----------
“George. Please.”
Bad spoke, hurrying along side his friend now as he tried to stop the other. But as he grabbed George’s arm...
“I don’t care, Bad. I don’t care what you say to me here and now. You cannot stop me.”
He yanked his arm right from Bad, glaring harshly towards him before fully placing the mask over his face. Turning around once more, he began to walk, making his way down the wooden path. Skeppy and Ant couldn’t do much... they had no say between their relationship. Seeing Bad in despair... begging George... it was hard to watch. Especially if George had a set goal in mind.
“George-” Bad tried once more, reaching his hand out...
“They brought him back, Bad. They brought that monster back from the dead and now he’s taking charge of L’Manberg AGAIN. He KILLED Sapnap and Dream, right in front of my eyes. So don’t you fucking dare try and stop me from going after him and those who brought him back from the hellscape he was in. Don’t even try to or else I will have to kill you as well.”
There was a tense pause, Skeppy himself now stepping forward slowly, his hand gripping his axe. Seeing that George just threatened Bad...
“...” What could Bad say? He was.. hurt... they all were hurt after what had happened. They were in utter shock when they got word that Schlatt was back...
“... If it were Skeppy, would you do it? Would you go after Schlatt, if you watched him kill Skeppy right in front of you?”
He gripped his hand, balling it into a fist. Bad... his gaze dropped down slightly, thinking on George’s words for a moment before he noticed George lifting the Mask up, revealing half of his face.
“If it were Skeppy, you wouldn’t hesitate with that answer.. because you’d be already fighting that bastard. Especially in the heat of the moment.”
...
Pulling his mask back down, he turned away, taking a moment to just breathe.
“... the day Sapnap and Dream died... was the day I too died. The Dream Team is no more. I am but a shell of who I once was... because I will never be the same without them here.”
and with that, George pushed forward, leaving Bad, Skeppy and Ant in his shadow.
--
Quackity winced as he watched George slump forward, the sword sticking right out of his chest causing his stomach to churn. The amount of blood spilling from George... he was shocked with how George still managed to keep awake.
He then turned to look towards Schlatt, who’s sickly form wobbled forward slowly, the glare in his dull eyes sending shivers down his spine. The liquid that oozed from his lips... his nose... that fucking devilish grin. The smug bastard. He thought this was the way... he thought this would fix everything... but...
“George.. oh George... Stupid, pathetic, George. Look at you... did anyone ever tell you... Red really is your color. Such a shame that you cannot see the crimson hues that mark your skin” Schlatt sneered, now pulling the arrow from his neck roughly, the darkened hue of red leaking from the wound on his neck. Throwing the item harshly towards the side with a little care.. Schlatt laughed, letting the liquid drip from his lips and teeth.
“You can’t get rid of me baby! No matter how hard you try, I’ll always BE HERE!”
George looked up slowly, his eyes glossed over as his hand gently gripped the sword in his chest...
“...”
That’s when Schlatt pulled the axe right out from his back, letting the sickening crunch emit from the wound, letting bits and gushes of blood to splatter from him.
“... I should’ve ended you right then and there. All this time, I thought my real threat was Wilbur and Dream.. but you... you’re just like them... I loath you all immensely. Your words filling the ears of those here on this stupid SMP... “
Letting the axe go to his side, his hand firm on the handle...
“... You abomination... I know you miss them both...”
Schlatt then gripped the axe tightly, raising it over his shoulder now..
“How’s about we fix that?”
And like that.. Schlatt charged at George, his eyes wide with intense hatred, the ooze flying from his form. George could only watch in horror as Schlatt darted for him.
This was it.
Quackity gripped his stomach, tears cascading down his cheeks now as he screamed, his other hand reaching out towards George.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”
Sam banged on the glass separating them, Bad and Punz trying their best to shatter the see through barrier. He was screaming... Sam was screaming as he watched Schlatt grew near towards George. Sam’s crown fell off, his mask slipping .. his voice echoing throughout the room they were in, the tone of despair growing.
“GEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORGE!!!”
Schlatt grinned dangerously as he stomped harshly on the ground, standing right in front of George.
“BYE BYE GEORGE!!”
With that... he swung the axe...
...
..
.
clank!
...
..
!
Schlatt’s eyes widened...
Quackity felt as if his heart stopped.
Sam let out a sharp gasp.
...
Silver eyes peered right up towards Schlatt, a glowing enchanted netherite sword being held up against the axe he held. A red cape slowly fell towards the shoulders of the man that stood there... man? or Pig.
“...”
Schlatt jumped back, stumbling somewhat over his footing, his eye twitching at the sight before him.
...
They stood tall, the look of utter anger lingering throughout their gaze. A shining glowing crown dawned upon their head... the armor they wore glistening from the enchantments given to it.
George just.. let out a shaken breath... his vision growing blurry with every passing moment...
“... T.. Technoblade...”
--
He couldn’t focus.
George watched as Schlatt made his way towards the end portal, letting out a shaken laugh as he glanced right back towards him.
“THIS IS IT GEORGE! YOUR DECISION DAY!”
Techno flinched as he dangled off the edge of the cobblestone he was left on, the potion of weakness given to him really taking its toll. He could barely keep himself together, his eyes slightly casting off towards the side. Each passing moment, he grew weaker, as well as his grip on the stone.
“Take your pick…”
Raising his sword high, Schlatt let out a heavy, sick laugh.
“Save your friends and bring them back while letting this disgusting pig fall into the end below, never to be seen again… or save this pig.. And never get the choice of ever bringing your friends back to life.”
George hesitated…
He stared towards the book Schlatt held in his other hand… then he stared towards Techno.
Sweat lightly rolled down his forehead, his eyes gazing back and forth between the two…
“Tick.. tock.. George…”
--
..
“oh, I just got some gold. It’s quite epic.”
.
“why are you talking like that?… quite epic, I’m Sapnap.”
.
“It’s quite epic indeed.”
.
Warm laughter filled the air.
..
“Let’s go!”
.
“Alright, let’s chill-”
.
Shocked yells and screams filled the air before … laughter, seeing that they were saved.
..
George stared up towards Schlatt… his eyes cold.
he made his decision.
--
Schlatt watched as George approached him.
A sly grin was on his face.
George had made his choice… and Techno watched as George went right up to Schlatt.
“…”
--
George held his hands out… waiting for Schlatt to hand him the book.
“.. you made the right choice George..”
Placing the book in George’s hand slightly, he still kept a firm grip on it’s edge. Schlatt turned to look at Techno, a wild grin on his face now as he chuckled.
“… you see Techno? This is all you’ll ever be… alone for all eternity. The king who finally falls… it’s about time you’re put to rest…”
--
Just as Schlatt turned to look at George...
Crack.
Techno watched as George full on slammed his fist against Schlatt’s face, breaking his nose right on contact. George then gripped the other’s shirt collar, glaring darkly towards those shocked eyes.
“... a wise Pig once told me of a wise mans words.”
Techno.. Techno leaned his head against the cobblestone, watching as George held Schlatt dangerously close towards the portal entrance...
“... Anger may in time, change to gladness.. vexation may be succeeded by content... but a Kingdom that has once been destroyed can never come again into being... nor can the dead ever be brought back to life.”
Schlatt’s eyes widened as blood trickled down his nose...
George leaned in, his voice near a growl...
“... Fuck you, Jschlatt.”
and with that... George shoved Schlatt right into the end portal.. with the book he held.
The echo’s of Schlatt’s scream filled the void before.. silence.

completely brainless 1am ramble
On the topic of stagnation, and the geopolitical plot vs. character-driven plot discussion people are having rn:
Maybe this is just a nostalgia-blinded bias of mine, having started with the Disc War, but...I’ve never minded the more character-based plots? Anyone who’s followed my blog for a bit knows that I love the Pet War, but I also loved the Disc War and the Final Pet War too. In those conflicts, the factions served as a backdrop rather than being the main focus, and the plot was driven by the characters and their grievances with one another.
One of my favorite smaller plots from Season Two was Fundy and Ghostbur. That had absolutely zilch to do with factions, or L’manburg, or geopolitics, but it was honestly one of the most well-acted and heart-breaking plots I’ve seen from the SMP in its entirety.
I think that character-driven plots are places where the SMP’s really shined, at least to me personally.
Maybe that’s not everyone’s thing, but I don’t think it’s bad for the stories to be more character-driven! I think a lot more of the SMP than people realize has been like that this entire time. I think people sometimes overestimate how much the factions have actually mattered, in a sense?
Remember how the Disc War started?
Tommy and Sapnap were a pair. Punz and Tubbo were a pair. Ponk and Alyssa were a pair. Dream logged on to stop the fighting and Tommy and Sapnap killed him, leading to Dream allying himself with Ponk and Alyssa. These weren’t faction lines dividing everyone, but personal grudges. That’s how the SMP’s entire plot started. “You and me, versus Dream,” right?
While the L’manburg War was amazing and a game-changer for the SMP storyline as a whole, I feel like the motivations, the driving forces for that war were actually a lot weaker than the recent conflicts. It was a cool bit of political roleplay, yes, but it was kind of just a war for the sake of a war, to be honest.
L’manburg was founded because some Americans got in the way of Wilbur and Tommy stealing everyone’s blaze rods. It went from a hotdog-selling business to a literal independent country because...revolution, I guess? And Dream declared war because...sometimes you just gotta kill some people sometimes, y’know...?
It was the character-based conflicts from before that war that ended it. The discs ended the war even though they had nothing to do with the reason L’manburg seceded, because Tommy and Dream’s grudge against each other held more weight than the actual country. Who cared if L’manburg gained its independence as long as Dream gained the discs? That was a bigger win for him.
The conflicts that happened afterwards continued that trend of being character-driven rather than faction-driven. L’manburg kind of disappeared for a month as the Disc Saga continued with Tommy and Dream, Tommy and Quackity founded the Cartel and then the Pet War started up because of Sapnap.
None of these conflicts had anything to do with factions, really, and having all these little smaller stories gave a chance for people like Quackity, Fundy and Skeppy to get in on the drama more and throw their hats into the ring.
That’s what I think is happening right now, except since there are a lot more people on the server now, they’re starting up their individual plots around the same time so that they start to overlap.
And remember how Fundy and Tubbo started up the Dreamon Hunters plot, picked out new skins, built a new setting and everything just for that plot to never take off due to needing to prepare for the Manberg Festival? Such a cool plot idea, and it just never happened, really.
Well, now, the Badlands have been having fun creating their own Blood Vines plot, and since they aren’t very involved in what Tommy and Dream are doing, they have space to flesh out that idea and not have it be overshadowed by other things. Whether or not you, as a viewer, want to follow along with the side plot is your choice! But Bad seems to be having a lot of fun telling his own story.
Quackity creating Mexican L’manburg and having that turn into a five-day plot that ended in war? That’s basically just the L’manburg War 2.0, and if you don’t feel like following along with the plot -- again, no need to! But Karl finally getting his chance to shine, Sapnap and George having character development with Dream, and Eret, Puffy and H getting in on some drama was honestly pretty exciting!
The thing about the SMP is that it’s not really built to be just one storyline. It’s never just been about L’manburg.
While the Camarvan was built, Fundy and Eret were having their Prank War.
The same day Dream and Tommy fought to bargain with Skeppy, Fundy was getting into a court battle with Punz, Eret and Tubbo.
While the Election was happening, so was the Pet War.
In the middle of Pogtopia building its resistance, the Battle of the Lake happened with Tommy, Sapnap and the Badlands.
The SMP has always had storylines going on at the same time. It’s just that since most of the viewers have always focused on Tommy and Wilbur for the most part, a lot of the time those extra storylines slipped through the cracks of memory.
Now let’s get back to the geopolitics vs. character-driven thing:
This feeling of “stagnation” isn’t new! The SMP’s had periods like this, where it feels a bit slower and everyone’s a little confused about where it’s going before.
Remember that period from like, October 18th to November 6th or so where pretty much nothing happened to progress the plot? And since none of the other streamers on the SMP were doing their own plots, it was just kind of this period of...”who knows what’s happening right now?”
The thing about a politics-based plot vs. a more character-driven, million side-stories type deal is that as long as none of the country leaders were online, nothing could really happen to progress the main plot, and since the character-driven stuff wasn’t the main focus, that couldn’t drive much either.
So...yeah, you got the Tubbo Bathwater stream three days after the Festival happened. That’s just kinda how it went.
Schlatt only got on very rarely, Wilbur a bit less rarely, and Dream logging onto his own server was always more of a surprise more than a routine. Tommy and Techno were getting into hijinks, but there weren’t really any political stakes. Even though he was supposed to be exiled, Tommy just moved back into his house anyway, because who was going to stop him? The one person who cared about him staying out wasn’t there to do anything.
Yes, the Big Plot Days like the Festival and the Meeting were jaw-dropping and amazing! I loved them! Incredibly-written, incredibly-acted.
But what about what happened between them?
One thing I’ve enjoyed about the recent period is that it feels like a lot more streamers are keeping track of their characters and holding onto longer plot threads. It feels like more people are interacting with each other instead of doing builds by themselves. And even the main plot is progressing at this more subtle, bit-by-bit pace where there’s a bit of new development with each stream. The big event days still happen, like the New Festival and the Execution, but the pacing’s a lot more consistently spread out. And with all these other streamers keeping their own mini stories as well, it’s more of this melting pot of different people interacting, each with their own arc and tale to tell.
Ponk and Jack, for example, are keeping their ongoing rivalry. Sam, Bad and Ant are getting into their own storyline whereas before, the Badlands weren’t really doing much of anything. And Karl’s been doing the same fun side-things that he’s always done for months, but he’s recently started to try and find a niche for himself by trying these light-hearted events or his new Tales series, which could end up being really cool the more he refines it!
I feel like a lot of the “chaos” feeling isn’t really from how the SMP’s main storyline has been written; most of the main plot has still kept to L’manburg and Techno.
It’s just that more people are taking notice of all the side hijinks that are going on in the background all the time, and some of the people who weren’t involved in the main plot before have started creating their own storylines for fun.
I will say it again and again: you don’t have to follow along with every storyline! If it overwhelms you to try and keep up with the Blood Vines? That’s okay! You as a viewer have the freedom to create the viewing experience that makes you the most comfortable, that brings you the most joy!
But I also think people could try and branch out a bit too. Give some new creators a try. No pressure or anything, and it’s fine if you just want to stick to Tommy or Techno! But there are a lot of talented people on the SMP, and I feel like some of these smaller stories are worth paying attention to if you’re interested!
Aaaaanyway, this is just a long, long post with some nonsense thoughts that I felt like getting out. Feel free to disagree! The SMP’s an interesting piece of media that everyone’s going to experience slightly differently. What may be my cup of tea might not be yours, and vice versa! :]

what if tommy and tubbo went all loose cannon? and/or instead of siding with schlatt, kinda,, sided adjacent with dream, with only a very technical connection to schlatt, and basically just became their own side, just the two of them? i wouldn't put it past them
this would also be interesting and in that case i’d imagine niki would go along too, because them separating from niki after the three of them promised to be together would be heartbreaking. like tommy makes a deal with schlatt, because he doesn’t want manburg blown up, so they have the common enemy of schlatt? hmmm v interesting....
also the majority of the server is now parting from hard sides rn (no longer dream smp vs manburg) like bad/skeppy/ant are very much separated from manburg and the dream smp (badlands?? badboyhalo you know you’re stealing land from dream himself) karl and sap just made rutabega-ville (who knows how long that’s going to last) sam is the DEFINITION of a neutral party (he just likes fooling with redstone and giving people strength potions)
umm ponk is ??? he protected tommy today but he’s also been a hostile party. punz is also ??? because he’s never on the server. hbomb is literally jus vibing.
and we all know george is going to sleep through major events anyway so why place him
so it’d be like jschlatt and dream, techno and wilbur, tommy and tubbo and niki, with fundy and eret and quackity trying to find their place among the anarchists and the tight-knit unbroken family suddenly making deals with the devil
