A Fire Inside, better known as AFI has finally been able to tour and play the long awaited Chicago date of their Bodies Tour. After being postponed and rescheduled to 2022 from 2021, many fans have been anxiously waiting for this show! I, for one, was super excited the tour finally happened. I have to say, this band knows how to get a crowd to move and let loose! Opening with "Strength Through Wounding" and right from the start they had a great stage presence. I had no idea where to look since Hunter Burgan, Davey Havok, and Jade Puget just kept jumping and running around the stage! It was so awesome and I was not expecting the show to start off with so much energy. And it continued... AFI shows are always so bittersweet. Possibly seeing & interacting with an ex friend & someone who's not 😬 it's really difficult for me & the songs they play..sometimes don't help. I try so hard for them not to hurt my experience especially since I have such good friends/family to spend time in line with. Then experiencing what we love so much together... It's amazing. I love everyone so much. Even if they can act a bit elitist (certain people). All shows are so different & I love them playing old stuff 💕 even if you think of one person during haha bc it transcends time & while I feel anger in some songs, I felt that way but doesn't mean I do now, just a very deep part of myself that hurts. I couldn't have done it without being connected to other fans that feel the same even if they aren't close. I would go to shows but I imagine it would hurt a lot too.
In all, don't kiss people during AFI or dedicate songs. EVER. Even if your think they're that person to break that with. Even fellow fans :/

20th Anniversary re-issue of the hugely influential & beloved 2003 AFI album "Sing The Sorrow" is finally here!
The band's 6th studio album & major label debut was initially only pressed in small quantities (reportedly around 10,000) and it's subsequent popularity & influence has far outgrown supply with OG pressings fetching $500+
A number of unofficial bootlegs exist, but this new 20th Anniversary pressing marks the first official re-issue since it's 2003 release.
2xLP cut at 45RPM on limited Black Translucent & Red Pinwheel w/ Red Splatter colour vinyl. Housed in a thick gatefold sleeve with printed inners. Out now for $95.
