what do you think of purists, analog people at the time who didn't like and criticized digital cameras specially now over a decade later where there seems to be revival/ interest of the aesthetic of digital cameras from 2000s

generally they fell into two camps

digital cameras really hadnt caught up to film at that time. especially cheap ones so it was a very legitimate point that film usually did have better quality, medium and large format especially was not reproducible digitally. Also there are many great compact film cameras, where as most decent quality digital cameras at the time were large expensive slrs that were annoying to lug around.

But also a large amount of people shooting film at that time, especially point and shoot film party pics, were just like the people now shooting point and shoot digital camera pics. mostly just fun/cheap nostalgia for an aesthetic they experienced in childhood and missed out on in adulthood that became trendy again. it'll seem cringey in a couple of years but teens and people in their early 20s cant help but fall for that kind of empty aethetic nostalgia. I definitely did at that age too

One does not simply say ''why do you complain, Tolkien never actually gave such a precise aethetic/physical description for a place/character''.

Specially not in Tumblr.

Because they don't know who you are, they don't know what you want, if you are looking for easy internet fame, they don't have any to give you, but what they do have is a very particular set of books, books they have read over a very long time, books so detailed it makes them a nightmare for trolls. If you stop trying to explain to them feanorians where not cannonically black-haired or no one cares about the date the humans were created, they will not pursue you. But if you keep going, they will look for the info. They will find it. And they will take a pic and post it with highlights on the words that disprove you.

One doesn't simply take on the Tolkien Fandom.

I saw Lana del rey trending I though it was because of the stalker case and sadly no..bruh instead it was juste filled with pics of lana from 2012,#coquette and edited pic of her head on other's pple bodies. I actually hate how a lot of fan on tumblr are just all about her early carrer appearence and aethetic wich is fine but like why ? It's tough because I used to care a lot about honesty in a way that only was annoying to my coworkers, the only example I really care about is when people talk about taking their "lunch" break at 7pm, but I believe a dinner break is actually an hour which is longer than our meal break (<I try to say meal break, or just break but I really care about eating at work so... But the other problem is at work I have to eat at different times than I would at home, but I don't think having a silly eating-schedule as bad as having a silly sleeping-schedule which they say is like torture. Still it seems unfair that you can't control when you eat, at work, it's a bit dehumanizing).

But there's another one which is climate change, they say if people forget that autumn used to be cold that cedes a lot of ground to denialists. But it's dishonest to post cuddly sweater pics and 50's aethetics. I think. I don't remember, surely it gets a little bit cold? No, that might be December, which we think of as winter. If so, it's like lying and saying everything is fine, nostalgia, an unobtainable ideal. September, what is it? Still summer, right? What about the later weeks?

Nevermind, post canceled, the news said it would be 106 but it's only gonna be 102, my plans to go to the pool are looking okay so I no longer have anything to complain about. It better not have closed, it's still August and I just said--well Labor Day, I guess, is the end of the summer. It would be sad to close the pool and still have 3 weeks of high 90's, that would just be an excuse to save money on chlorine not that we don't pay a little bit every month for that kind of stuff so it should stay open as long as the weather is good. In fact, it should be closed today for our safety. Guy who brings a six pack but no water. Not me! I'm bringing soda.
