Social media comparison
Alright. I've tried different new/alternative platforms lately in hope to find something I really liked, and there are very promising ones. I didn't try everything, of course, but this is a kind of overview of my journey so far? Or just my thoughts on the matter.
I've tried Pillowfort, Bluesky, Mastodon (didn't last long enough to have much of an opinion, it simply didn't click), Dreamwidth and Cohost (as of today, can't post there yet).
My comparison under the cut:
Tumblr media
► I appreciate that they're algorithm free, whether it's because they truly believe in an Internet rid of the most invasive of them or because it's too expensive to implement on a brand new platform or some other reason. Only the future can tell, but for now it's nice.
Tumblr media
► Pillowfort: beside the post formatting that I find extremely comfortable, my favourite thing is probably communities. I feel like this is the strongest "pro" in favor of Pillowfort because this is where they truly distinguish themselves from other social media.
Communities, in a way, remind me of forums. They're however easier to take in hand since you don't have to deal with as many options and choices. In my opinion, communities on Pillowfort are a bit lacking in functionalities though. I think more tools to easily organize them would help, like a widget or something to link stuff so you can create and animate events within said communities.
(I also feel like Pillowfort would gain from not being dark blue. We have more than enough dark blue websites, and it doesn't go well with the warmth invoked by its name in my opinion, but that's a minor detail and just a matter of taste.)
Tumblr media
► Bluesky: basically Twitter but better. No algorithm, for a start. The curated feeds are nice. They're a bit like communities on Pillowfort since they can be moderated but from a non-mod user, it's even easier to post in them: you just have to use the right keyword for your post to appear there. Well, if the mod left it open to all rather than chose to vet who can or cannot post in it. Lots of flexibility and control over your timeline overall.
I don't like the 300 characters limit, however. Never liked it with Twitter either. It's not really conductive to conversations, and the general design tends to make the website feel rather impersonal. It's really more like parallel talking than community building.
Overall I think it's a good tool to promote your (visual) art or website, etc. but not great for hosting conversations past commenting briefly what others are doing. I mean, you can make threads but it'll never be as good as Pillowfort or Tumblr for this.
Tumblr media
► Dreamwidth: I'll start with saying that Dreamwidth isn't a social media, it's a journaling platform and I haven't used it much yet. Had in plan to post my headcanons about my muses there and stuff like that so I did spend some time trying to figure out how it works.
First, there is a lot of options to let you have complete control over who can see what. Like, a lot.
You can entirely personalize what your journal will look like. It's a bit easier than having your own website—since I reblogged a post about that yesterday—because you don't start from 0, so it might be a good option if you don't feel comfortable jumping into Notepad++ to start coding. You can just change a thing here and there, or nothing at all, or almost everything. It's pretty old school though, so for those completely unfamiliar with early/pre-web 2.0, it might not look very appealing at first. However, I'd say don't let that stop you! If anything, it's a good opportunity to learn a bit of code without pressure.
You can also create communities, which as you might have guessed is very important to me. When creating one, you can set up whether everyone can join, everyone can ask to join but has to be approved by a community admin or to limit the access to those you have personally invited. Like for your own journal, communities are completely customizable, and Dreamwidth allows adult content.
I'm not sure you can top DW communities in terms of functionalities—aside from making a forum—but it's not as intuitive as Pillowfort (though in exchange you get more customization). You're also more limited regarding image hosting (see here). That said, hosting services exist, many are free, and that's without mentioning that you can post on Twitter and the like and use the picture link in your DW posts. I don't think many will only use Dreamwidth anyway.
Tumblr media
► Cohost: I was expecting nothing when I registered earlier today, but this is an overall good surprise: it's Tumblr, but better.
More control of what you see. More user-friendly UI. It's not fucking blue. Adult content allowed. You can change your main blog page and make it private.
The only two downsides I'd mention here would be that you can't customize your blog page appearance and you have to wait for one or two days before being able to post. Although if it means less bots, I'd rather wait.
Tumblr media
And this ends my rather non-exhaustive tour of the social media/blogging/journaling platforms. If you catch any mistakes let me know. I didn't dive deep, this was just me sharing my thoughts.
(As far as I know, they all allow adult content and give you tools to not see it if you don't want to.)

Johnny Lawrence x Reader
Tumblr media
Tags: Angst, Gender-Neutral Pronouns, Alcohol Abuse, Depression Matter - Chapter Two Seeing Johnny had lifted your spirits for a long while. He looked better, he had opened up his own dojo, he had kids who relied on him as their Sensei. But as time passed, you only seemed to miss him more. Johnny had always been tactile, he'd constantly have his arm around you, he'd knock his shoulder into yours as he teased you, he'd tackle you onto the sofa before pinning you down and tickling you. When you watched movies together, he'd sling his legs over your lap and grin smugly as he hogged the popcorn. It was a habit you had never truly appreciated. The loss of his touch made your body feel unsettled. It felt unnatural. The regret of breaking up with him grew in strength each day. Johnny had probably moved on by now anyway, what you had with him was over.
As you walked up to the grocery store, a yellow flyer on a utility pole caught your eye. Slowing down to take a look, a smile spread across your face when you recognised Johnny's face on it.
Learn to fight! Join Cobra Kai.
Had he been putting up these flyers around town? There was an address on it too. You pulled out your phone and took a picture, unable to help yourself. Maybe you could drive past one day, just for a quick look.
You ended up outside the dojo the next day. You were impressed by its sign and the logos on the windows. It might have been in a strip mall but he'd made the best of it. Getting out of your car, you walked up to the doors and cupped a hand around your eye to try and see anything through the blinds.
The sound of Johnny's Firebird pulling up made blood rush to your ears. Oh fuck, he'd caught you red-handed. Your eyes clenched shut at the thought of him seeing you like this, coming here unannounced and trying to pry into his business. When he turned off the engine, you turned around and forced a smile on your face. What were going to say? You were passing by? You needed something from the mini-mall? He lifted a bag onto his shoulder when he got out of the car.
“What are you doing here?” He asked before taking off a pair of sunglasses.
“I uh. . .” you trailed off as he approached and pulled out a set of keys from his jean pocket. You swallowed nervously, you couldn't lie to him, you weren't sure how he was going to react when he was told the truth. “I saw one of your flyers.”
He stopped in front of you, eyebrows raising like he was waiting for the rest of your explanation.
“I was. . .I was just curious. I don't mean to intrude.” He eyed you up and down carefully before he unlocked the door and held it open.
“You wanna come take a look?” You agreed and tried to temper the smile on your face. After going inside, your mouth parted open as you took in the dojo, the mats on the floor, the logos and the motto painted on the wall, the full length mirrors, and the fitness equipment. Johnny's trophies stood proudly on a shelf rather than gathering dust in the back of his closet.
It really was something. The dojo looked better than you'd imagined. You were taken back when Johnny's hand reached out to your face. His finger gently lifted your chin to close your mouth. He slowly pulled away, his slight touch almost making you shiver. He looked away like he had forgotten himself.
“I'm pretty sure there's a fly hanging around in here somewhere,” he mumbled as he went to close the door. His eyes avoided yours as he took you further into the dojo, pointing out shelves where the students would put their things and the corner where he was planning to put a couple more punching bags.
“There's an office here too.” It had a window to the main dojo, a desk, two chairs, some filing cabinets, a refrigerator and a whiteboard with a list of current students. Johnny starting to gather up the paperwork which was strewn all over the desk. “I've got a lot of forms to go through.”
“Do you need help?” The question came out before you could stop yourself. What were you thinking offering to help him? This was his place, you'd already come here uninvited and now you wanted to involve yourself in his work? He looked at you then, his expression blank and unreadable. You were such a fucking idiot.
“I mean. . .maybe Miguel wouldn't mind helping,” you explained, hoping that you had covered yourself enough.
“The kid's busy training.”
“Oh. . .yeah.” You bit the inside of your cheek, why didn't you come up with something better? Looking around the office gave you the chance to avoid Johnny's gaze. You didn't remember the last time you'd ever felt embarrassed in front of him, but now you felt it acutely. “How's Miguel doing?”
“Good, he's learning fast. He'll be here soon. I've got a class in half an hour but he always comes early.” He had given you an out to take, he needed to get ready for his class, it was time to go. You'd already intruded enough.
“I'll leave you to it then,” you replied, waiting for him to lead you to the door, but he didn't move.
“Did you. . .really want to help?” He asked carefully, there was something vulnerable in his expression. Your eyebrows furrowed, did he think you were lying to him? That you'd offer your help and not mean it at all? The hurt sunk down to your gut. You wanted to retort back, question how he could think you were lying about that. But Johnny wasn't trying to antagonise you, it was like he wasn't sure whether asking for your help would be crossing a line.
“I can try to sort some of this out,” you offered nonchalantly.
“The only downside to a lot of students is a lot of paperwork,” he commented as he moved to the desk and started to pick up some of the pieces of paper. “Are you free right now? I can take you through it?”
“Yeah, I'm not working today.”
“Good,” he put his hand on the back of the chair by the wall. “It's all yours.”
You sat down and Johnny perched on the edge of the desk as he began to explain all the various admin that needed to be done. There were insurance forms to fill out, student contact details and parental consent waivers to review, and class fees that needed to be processed. When you asked about his filing system, he stared at you blankly. You couldn't help the small smile on your face and offered to help him sort out the paperwork he'd already done.
“That'd be great, but it would take too long to finish today,” he replied, not presuming that you would come back and help him out again. Knowing how carefully he was treading made you feel both grateful and awkward at the same time.
“I can come back another time. If you want.”
“Yeah?”
“Sure.”
“I'd appreciate that,” he murmured, his voice lowering slightly. He laid down a handful of forms before shifting closer to you so that he was sitting right on the edge of the desk. He opened his mouth to say something else but a knock on the door interrupted him.
“Sensei?” Miguel asked, he was dressed in a white gi.
“Mr. Diaz,” Johnny said as he took to his feet. You didn't miss the note of disappointment in his voice, you hoped that Miguel did.
“Can I talk to you for a second?” Miguel asked, his eyes flicking between you, the empty chair on the other side of the desk, and then back to his Sensei. Johnny had been sitting on the desk right by you the whole time, he hadn't bothered to sit in the other chair. “About class?” Miguel clarified.
“Alright,” Johnny agreed, he turned back and said that he wouldn't be long. Miguel seemed to give you a meaningful stare before he walked to the storage room with his Sensei in tow. Had Johnny told him about you? About the break up? You'd only ever waved at the kid, the only things he'd know about you would come from Johnny. Shit, this really was a stupid idea, you were going to make things difficult, weren't you? This was supposed to be his place, his dojo, and here you were, trying to be somewhere you didn't belong, just like always.
You got up off the chair, wrestling with the idea of bolting out through the door and never coming back. Surely that would be worse? You needed to wait for Johnny, come up with some excuse to leave. He already knew you weren't working today, what other possible reason was there for you to suddenly take off? No matter what you told him, he'd know you were lying anyway.
The way you looked at it, anything you did was going to end up with Johnny being hurt. The realisation was making your gut twist in nerves. You tried to distract yourself by looking at the paperwork again, you shuffled a few bits around, sorting the various forms into piles.
“Uhh. . .hi?” You turned around to see a kid standing by the office entrance, she was dressed in a gi like Miguel's.
“Hi,” you replied, she was probably wondering who the fuck you were. “I'm Johnny's. . .your Sensei's friend. He's with Miguel in the storage room I think.”
She nodded in understanding but the curiosity on her expression didn't wane at all. “Do you know karate then?”
“No. Well. . .sort of.” Your mind flashed through memories of Johnny teaching you various moves and more often than not it had ended up. . .rather differently to how it began. “He's taught me a few things.”
She introduced herself, and you followed suit without further specification of what your relationship to Johnny was. Before you had told her you were his friend, but would he even want you to say that? What were you to him now? An acquaintance?
“It's nice to meet you, Aisha.” You managed to smile at her.
“Miss Robinson!” Johnny's voice called out.
“It was nice to meet you too. I better go,” she replied before heading off down the corridor. From the lack of judgement in her eyes, she didn't know who you were. Obviously she hadn't been apprised of the truth like Miguel had. Sitting back down, you focused on sorting out some forms.
Johnny came back into the office a few minutes later, and he was wearing his black gi. You had to force yourself not to stare, remembering the last time you'd seen him wearing that. His cheeks reddened, he must have realised what you were thinking about. You were making him uncomfortable.
“I'll let you get on with your class,” you told him, standing up from the desk. “Do you want me to come back some other time to help?” You asked vaguely, giving him the option to agree without any specific time frame.
“Tomorrow?” He responded immediately. “I mean. . .if you're not busy.”
“Is seven okay?”
“Yeah. . .yeah that'd be great.” He led you back through the dojo. The kids were setting up some equipment but they stopped as you passed by. Aisha eyed you carefully, almost exactly like Miguel did in the office. Guilt began to bubble to the surface. It wasn't right you being here. Johnny's students cared about him, it's why they were looking at you so cautiously. You'd hurt him before, and you'd do it again.
You mumbled thanks as Johnny opened up the door for you. He said that he'd see you tomorrow and you didn't manage to tell him otherwise.
- - -
He was already there when you turned up the next day. After nervously knocking on the door, you heard him call out that it was open. Only a few of the lights were on in the dojo, the main light was coming from the office. He was standing up when you went inside, gesturing for you to take his chair. It looked far more comfortable than the fold out chair on the other side of the desk. It was obviously meant as temporary seat for his students.
You felt bad that he was offering you the nicer chair, but it seemed rude to deny his offer so you sat down without a word of complaint. He gave you a funny look, like he knew what was whirling around in your mind. Rather than waiting for him to say something, you asked what you could help with.
He began to explain in further detail on what records he needed to keep, outlining what paperwork each student needed and what had to be signed where. At first you'd been anxious, concerned that you had inserted yourself back into his life when you had no right to. But the constant rhythm of Johnny's soft voice gradually eroded every ounce of anxiety you had.
It was easy to imagine that you were still with him, even if the conversation was strictly civil and professional. Vague enquiries had been made regarding each other's well being. The topics mostly centred around the dojo and how his students were doing. Miguel was his most promising student and he'd been training him for the longest. Johnny also mentioned how Aisha came to join Cobra Kai, describing her fight with Miguel which took them both by surprise. He smiled as he recounted how she had tackled him right down onto the floor. There was a look of pride in his expression.
When the conversation naturally lulled into silence, you stared blankly at a parental consent form. This was the perfect opportunity for you to say what you'd been meaning to ask since you got here. You opened your mouth about to pose the question but wondered how you could broach the subject more naturally. Were you really just going to blurt it out? What if you asked him about-
“What did I say about the fly,” Johnny said. “What is it?” You stared at him for a few moments, trying to work out what he was talking about. You realised that your mouth had been hanging open as you tried and failed to speak.
“Are you sure this is okay?” You asked.
“What do you mean?”
“Me being here.”
“I asked you, didn't I?”
“Yeah, but. . .”
“But what?”
“Am I. . .making you uncomfortable?”
“How would you be doing that? By showing me how bad I am at doing paperwork?” He joked.
“I just. . .” you trailed off, not really knowing how to say it. “After everything that happened between us. . .”
He looked away from you then. His hand that was resting on top of some forms clenched into a fist. He quickly pulled his hand away from the desk out of sight.
“It is what it is, right?” Your heart twinged at how casual he sounded, like you were nothing more than a mild inconvenience soon to be forgotten.
“Yeah,” you mumbled. Your nails dug into your palm as you attempted to offset the pain in your chest. He didn't say anything else for a few minutes, giving you the chance to try and hold yourself together. You stared aimlessly at the desk, the tension between you and Johnny was stifling. The steady truce from earlier was long gone.
“Let's call it a night,” he announced, his eyes averting your gaze. You quickly separated the finished pile of forms from what still needed to be done, but realised that you'd mixed a few up. As you tried to sort it out, he watched your hands muddle around with the paperwork. The pressure of him eyeing you made the embarrassment even worse. You stopped and took to your feet, leaving the forms in a mess. He didn't get up to leave as you moved passed him. He wanted you to go.
He said goodbye and you couldn't say anything back.
- - -
It had been almost two weeks since you'd last seen Johnny. What happened at the dojo constantly played on your mind, what he said, how small you felt, the way he wouldn't even look at you. It was different to the hurt you'd experienced since breaking up with him. This was like rejection, this was him snuffing out any embers of hope you had on getting back together. Did you really believe that he was going to get sober and come running after you?
You left him. Even if he's in recovery, he'd never forgive you, he'd never trust you again. You were just like everyone else.
Work was somehow getting worse. You never seemed to get away from it what with all the extra shifts and overtime. At least it kept your mind off of Johnny. After finishing a particularly tiring shift, you went back to the apartment filled with relief that you had the day off tomorrow. Maybe you should buy some weed so you could relax, take your mind off things. As soon as you got back, all you did was eat some food and go straight to bed.
You didn't remember dreaming at all, you must have passed out a few minutes after your head hit the pillow. You woke up in the late afternoon the next day, eyes widening as you'd been asleep for more than fourteen hours. Checking your phone, you were surprised to see two missed calls from Johnny which were from yesterday. You swore under your breath and immediately called him back, not wanting him to think you'd purposefully ignored him. It kept ringing and ringing until the call went to voicemail. You didn't bother to leave a message. He struggled to work out how to listen to them.
As you wiped your eyes and managed to get out of bed, the phone rang.
“Hello?”
“I had to start another class because one of them is full.”
“That's great, Johnny,” you replied when he didn't say anything else.
“So uh. . .I know you're busy but. . .if you had some time, would you mind coming down to the dojo? This paperwork is kicking my ass.”
“I can be there in an hour, if you're there?”
“An hour? Okay, I'll see you then.” You could hear someone talking in the background, but couldn't quite make out what they were saying.
“I'll see you.”
After showering and getting ready, you grabbed something to eat on the way and drove to the dojo. You parked next to Johnny's Firebird, thinking about how you'd been saving up some money to get it resprayed for his birthday. The paint was still peeling off. You headed into the dojo, the bell ringing above the door, and you stiffened as you saw a full class of students staring back at you.
Amongst the sea of white, you spotted Johnny's black gi. He gave you a nod and you bowed in response, wanting to be respectful of his class. When he continued his explanation about jab punches, most of the kids focused back on him. Some of them still watched as you walked around the mat. You breathed a sigh of relief as you reached the safety of the office.
It felt wrong to take Johnny's seat without him offering it so you sat on the other chair. You weren't sure whether to start going through the paperwork that was on the desk, it might be confidential. You didn't know what to do. Your leg started to nervously shake as you realised that it had taken a bit more than an hour to get here. Focusing on Johnny's voice, you listened to him critic and correct the students' stances.
A few minutes later, he came in while the kids were practising. From the window you could see that Miguel and Aisha were in front of the rest of them.
“What are you doing there?” He challenged, staring at you like you were an idiot.
Uhh, I. . .”
“Use that one,” he gestured to his chair before opening up one of the cabinet drawers and pulling out two large box files. When you sat down, he placed them both onto the desk in front of you. “This is the older stuff I was telling you about. You alright to go through these?”
“Yeah. Of course.”
“Good.”
“I'm sorry I was late, I didn't know you had a class,” you apologised. You had arrived maybe five minutes later than you were supposed to, but it seemed like he was right in the middle of a class rather than the start.
“You weren't. I told them you were coming anyway,” he replied.
“Oh.”
“Would you mind answering the phone and taking a message if anyone calls?”
“Sure.”
"Thanks." He hovered by the door for a few moments, his hand resting against the frame. You thought he might say something else but he walked back into the dojo and resumed his teaching. The loud noises the students would make each time they practised a move should have been distracting yet it didn't bother you at all.
Over the course of the class you worked through one of the box files, managing to get most of it organised. When Johnny dismissed the kids at the end, instead of rushing out the door like you'd expected them to do, the kids hovered. They chatted to each other and to Johnny, took their time stretching and drinking some water.
You were sorting through some insurance forms when you saw something in the corner of your eye. Aisha, Miguel and another kid with a mohawk were at the water fountain by the window, staring at you. Aisha offered a wave, Miguel managed a polite smile whereas the other kid simply grimaced. Thankfully Johnny caught their attention and all three of them turned away. You wondered why their approval was becoming important to you, they were just kids after all, you didn't know them. But it was the fact that they meant something to Johnny.
You chastised yourself for the thought. He didn't need or want you to be on good terms with his students, you weren't here for that. All he wanted you for was paperwork. Previous 16: He Feels His Heart Break
Tumblr media
In all your millennia, you’d never actually thought about death. Sure you were surrounded by it every single day, but you never pondered what it meant to die—to cease to live. Death was nothing but a term to you. It meant that another soul would be joining your kingdom. It meant that a mortal’s life had ended. It had no place in your life. And yet… Now it seemed that you were staring your own death right in the face.
The spirits in Elysium had all described it in different ways. Some said it was peaceful—a sweet release from life. Others said it was the worst pain they’d ever experienced—an excruciating way to go.
You had never known such pain before. Your body was alight with angry fires. Your limbs hurt at the slightest of movements. You were always parched, your mouth never moistening. It hurt to breathe. Every ragged breath you drew in lead to a round of severe coughing. The air in your lungs was tainted gold. Ichor flowed freely from the corners of your mouth, running down your chin in thin rivers.
You’d been poisoned.
It was the only diagnosis Pietro could come up with. Natasha and Carol had dragged him down to the Underworld after they and Peggy got you laid up in your bed. Though he was reluctant to venture down under as it was, he did his job well. As the god of medicine and stuff like that he was the only one capable of figuring out what had ailed you. “She’s been poisoned,” he said, pulling his hands away from your head and chest. He’d done his assessment, letting his magic flow through you through the two entry points, and that was the only explanation he could come up with.
“But you can cure her, right?” Natasha’s voice had been desperate, begging. She feared for you when she saw you collapse in the throne room. You, her strong, older sister, had never once caught a cold, and you had suddenly started throwing up ichor. She was terrified; it was a strong poison if it could cripple a goddess such as yourself so much.
Pietro has hung his head before delivering the harsh news. “I can’t... I’ve never seen anything like this before. It’s old magic, old poison. I didn’t even know that it still existed. I don’t know of anything that would heal her… I’m sorry.”
No cure; no choice other than to wait it out, let the poison run its course, and pray that you would recover.
He’d left you with some medicine that might alleviate the pain and make you more comfortable, but that was all he could do.
There was no hope for an immediate recovery, you knew that much when you looked into Pietro’s eyes. They had been full of pity, of sadness, like he was looking at a woman who was already dead and just didn’t know it yet.
Your sisters were optimistic, setting off on a fool’s quest to find you a cure. Just because Pietro had never heard of one didn’t mean that it didn’t exist. He was a newer god, after all, and so he didn’t know everything. There was always a chance that there was something as old as the poison itself that could act as the cure.
You, however, knew better. You’d seen enough death and pain yourself to know that chances were this was not going to end well.
And so, after the first week, you began to make arrangements for your absence. It had to be done anyways, after all. It would be a long time before you recovered if you did at all. The Underworld would still run, but you wouldn’t be able to do it. You barely had the strength to sit up without help, how could you have the strength to run a kingdom?
So while your mother, your sisters, and Peggy took turns watching over you and helping you do basic human things, you divided up the responsibilities of the kingdom.
Peggy, bless her heart, took over the paperwork you had to do. All the Elysium applications and the renovations and other paperwork went through her. She’d shadowed you enough to know how to do it. When she wasn’t nursing you or helping you do basic things, she was down in the office trudging through the endless mountains.
Pierce, helpful as ever, volunteered to lead the reconstruction efforts on Tartarus, directing gods and other beings on how to contribute, and take over the more official, executive aspects of the Underworld. Being the god of Death, Pierce had taken it upon himself a millennia ago to learn the way you ran things. Aside from Peggy, and obviously yourself, he was the only one fit to rule in your stead. While Peggy was managing the admin side of the Underworld, Pierce took over the engineering and execution of all other functions.
Together, the two of them completely filled your role, leaving you with the peace of mind necessary to get better and recover.
Though after the third week of pain, it didn’t look like you ever would.
Natasha and Carol told you not to think like that, but you knew. You knew how death worked. You knew how death felt. You knew that the chances of you pulling out of this were slim to none. It was only a matter of time now.
———
“Mrs. Thomas from Elysium called again.”
“Oh yeah? What’d she say.”
Peggy shrugged as she took a seat on the chair that had been set up at your bedside. “Oh, you know. Just calling to ask how you’ve been doing, wondering if she can bring you over her famous soup. She’s certain it will help you get better.”
You croaked a laugh, the breath stinging your chapped lips. “She always thinks food will solve everything.” Your eyes followed Peggy as she sat down, looking at the bowl she held in her hands. “If we can get me to keep food down, maybe take her up on that offer. I miss her cooking.”
She only smiled as she reached into the bowl. From it she pulled a damp washcloth. The white was vibrant in the darkened room as she wrung it out, letting the excess water fall. She reached over and began dabbing your face with the cloth. “I’ll be sure to do that then.”
You closed your eyes under the cool surface. It was a welcome relief from the constant fire you felt. One of the downfalls of this whole poisoning thing was the fever that came along with it. In all the three weeks of the pain, the fever had never once broken. If you were mortal, the constant heat would’ve boiled your brain by now. But, being immortal, it only caused you severe discomfort and the occasional delusions. The chill of the cold cloth was refreshing and it drew a shuddering sigh from your lips. “Thanks, Peggy.”
“Of course.” She continued to move the cloth across your face, letting it rest the most on your forehead. When it warmed she dipped it back into the ice-cold water and repeated her movements.
It was soothing—just a bit of comfort from the pain you were in constantly. You let out a shuddering breath as you sank deeper into your bed. Your chest rose and fell with labored breaths. It was getting harder and harder to breathe with every passing day. You had a feeling that it wouldn’t be long before you couldn’t breathe at all.
As if sensing your doubtful thoughts, Peggy’s hand stilled. “You’re going to be alright. I know it. Your sisters are searching for a cure and Pietro is getting everything he can think of.”
You didn’t want to point out to her that just yesterday he was almost out of ideas. You simply nodded. “Alright…” you rasped out. Carefully you inhaled sharply, letting the air scratch at your lungs. “But let’s not discuss that right now. Tell me how things are going. How’s my kingdom?”
Being laid up, you never got to go out and see how things were going for yourself. You had to rely heavily on Peggy and Pierce’s reports. You were paranoid. You’d never been away from the throne for that long and not having your hand in the workings of the Underworld made you anxious.
Peggy hummed. “It’s recovering. The Tartarus breech really did a number on things, but we’re rebuilding. Elysium renovations are going smoothly. The crack in the wall is almost fully filled. Pierce is doing well.”
“Then why do you sound uneasy?”
She blinked, surprised by your question, but you hadn’t missed the hint of malice and skepticism in her voice when she spoke of Pierce. Something was wrong, you knew it.
“What’s he doing?” You locked your eyes on her face, doing your best to read her expression.
Her brows furrowed and she tilted her chin down. Her expression was confused and she was confused by her own confusion. “He… He’s doing well, almost too well. (y/n), I can’t explain it, but the way he’s acting whenever he goes out to the cave… It’s like he knows exactly what he’s doing. It’s like he’s already had everything planned out. He’s doing too well, and it’s giving me this bad feeling.”
“You’ve tested him?”
“Of course I have. He’s not being controlled—not by Kronos or anyone else for that matter. He’s completely in his own mind.”
You licked your lips and gazed up at the ceiling. “Have you been down to the cave? To inspect his work?”
“No. I haven’t had the time to. Between keeping you alive and dealing with paperwork, I haven’t been able to.” She sighed heavily and dunked the washcloth into the ice water once more. Setting it on your forehead, she said, “But I will soon; cast a spell or two of my own to help. Do anything to make sure your father stays locked up in your absence.”
You nodded your head. “Thank you, Pegs. This is why you’re my second in command.” Your smile was weak as you grinned at her, but it was there and meaningful.
She laughed at that and shook her head. “I’m not sure that that’s the only reason why, but I’ll take it.” She sighed. “How have you been feeling?”
“Oh, shitty as ever. But hey, you’ll be proud of me. I’ve only thrown up ichor once today.”
“That’s progress!” Her eyes brightened with hope.
“Yeah… Progress…” You didn’t want to tell her that that one episode had lasted nearly a half-hour as you lay hunched over the side of the bed expelling what little you’d eaten that morning from your stomach and some more ichor with it. Your tired sigh ended with a half-hearted smile. “I’m tired now, Pegs,” you said softly.
She pulled the cloth away from your forehead. “Would you like me to leave you to rest?”
You barely moved your head in a nod. “Please.”
“Alright.” Her chair scraped the ground as she pushed it back and stood. “I’ll be down in the office working. Call me if you need anything.”
“I will.”
The sound of her footsteps echoed in the room, growing fainter and fainter until they were nothing. You were left in silence once more. It settled heavy on the room, enveloping you in the cocoon of solitude. You used to hate the silence, but now it was welcome. Even sick, you rarely had a moment to yourself. Everyone was always scared you’d die if you were left alone for even one second. There was almost always someone by your side.
It was overwhelming.
But you almost preferred the company. It kept your mind busy and away from unpleasant thoughts about your impending demise.
Though no one around you wanted to admit it, you knew it to be true: you were dying and there was nothing that could be done about it. It was a depressing thought, really. You didn’t want to die, but it didn’t look like you had much of a choice.
You were going to die, and that was just the way of things.
And that was…
Honestly, not okay with you. But the pain was just mind-numbing. Sure the medicine that Pietro prescribed for you helped ease it a bit, but it would always return with a vengeance. Nearly a month of this had sapped out all the strength and magic you had, and you weren’t sure how much longer you could take it all.
But you chose not to dwell on it. You couldn’t. It would only just kill you faster.
Approaching footsteps broke the silence, tearing you from your thoughts of dying and the partial-slumber it had been lulling you into.
Your face screwed up at the disturbance, but you didn’t open your eyes. “Peggy?” you called out, the hoarseness of your voice surprising even you. “Did you need something?”
A chuckle was your answer. “It’s not Peggy, Precious.”
At his voice, your eyes snapped open. “Brock,” you croaked, trying to muscle your way into a sitting position. You couldn’t see him when you were reclined and you refused to be prone in his presence. You hadn’t seen him since you’d sent him away all those months ago, and that conversation had been left on severely rocky terms. You’d told him to leave, ending things between you pretty harshly. You couldn’t believe your ears when you heard his voice and so you had to see him for yourself. But to do that, you had to sit up.
You didn’t get too far. The pain in your chest and abdomen flared with the movement and you cried out in agony.
Brock was at your side in an instant, his hands pushing down on your shoulders ever so gently to ease you back against the pillows.. “Shh, Precious,” he murmured softly. “Stay down, it’s okay.”
Reluctantly, you obeyed. Gods, you wanted to sit up and berate him for ever showing his face in your home again, but you weren’t strong enough to do so. So you settled for just glaring at him. “Why are you here?” you hissed in a low voice. “I thought I told you to never show your face again.”
“You did not say that, Precious,” he said, his voice was gentle and kind. “You told me to leave, you didn’t tell me to never come back.” When you were situated on the pillows again, he set one of his large hands on your forehead and brushed back your hair.
“That still meant leave,” you spat. You looked up at him, your eyes narrowing. “Why have you come? How did you get past Peggy?”
“I have my ways. You forget I used to frequent this room without anyone knowing I was ever here. I know how to get in undetected.” With that, he sat down in the chair Peggy had been sitting in not even an hour ago. He pulled his palm from your forehead and reached for your hand which was lying at your side. You were too tired to move it, so he laced your fingers together. “I’m here to see you, Precious. I heard you were sick, but I— I never imagined…” His voice broke as he looked at your face. You could only imagine how horrible you looked.
“You’re not welcome here anymore, Brock,” you growled. “You should leave.”
“No, not until you hear me out.”
“Th-There’s nothing left for me to hear! I told you to leave.”
“Precious—”
“And stop calling me that!” You yanked your hand out of his grasp and glared daggers at him. “I’m not your precious anymore. You have no right to come in here and call me terms of endearment like we’re still… Like we’re still together! You don’t have that privilege anymore and I want you—” Your lungs were arrested by a fit of coughing and your body convulsed. Pain wracked your body as you hacked and coughed, trying to expel the insatiable itch in your throat. You coughed into your hands, cupping them at your mouth to catch the ichor that was thrown from your lungs so they didn’t land on the covers.
Brock rubbed small circles over your back as if that would help ease the pain or the coughing. “Shh, just get it out.”
You wanted to curse his name, banish him from your home for forever, but you couldn’t. You didn’t have the energy to. When you finished coughing, you sat back against the pillows. Your hands were stained gold with your own ichor and it hurt to breathe.
He helped you get back the best he could, being nothing but gentle with your fragile body. He handled you like you were made of glass; like you could shatter at any second. When you were settled once more, he took his hand off of you and hung his head. “Please, Precious. I needed to come back; to apologize if nothing else. Please just hear me out.” His voice was desperate and soft; he was scared of what you would say.
You didn’t want to even give him the time of day, but because you were basically a captive audience, you really had no choice. You sneered at him down your nose but nodded your head. “You’ve got two minutes.”
“Thank you.” He inhaled sharply before he said, “I’m sorry for everything I ever did—or didn’t do—to you. I never wanted to hurt you. I was just scared of what you wanted. I thought that, if I committed myself to you, you would grow tired of me and leave or that I would lose myself in the process. I wasn’t ready for that.”
“But you are now?” You scoffed. “It’s a little late for that, Rumlow. You broke my heart too many times and I found someone who wouldn’t.”
Bucky…
Gods, you hadn’t thought about Bucky in weeks. Now, whether that was intentional or accidental, you weren’t sure; it had the potential to be both.
It could’ve been accidental—just something that happened as a result of being preoccupied with poisoning and worrying for your kingdom.
But it could’ve been intentional—a coping mechanism designed to keep your heart from breaking further. Your body had enough to deal with; fighting the poison was taking everything you had, you had no energy to spare to deal with the pain of remembering Bucky’s devastated expression. You couldn’t even think about him without hurting.
As if on cue, pangs of agony struck your heart as his face surfaced in your mind and you fought hard to shove it back down. You couldn’t dwell on him now. He was gone. You’d sent him away. You’d said awful things.
He probably hated you now or at least didn’t love you.
You didn’t know which one hurt worse.
“Ah, yes. The god of spring.” The words were bitter and his lips curled back in a snarl. “If he loved you so much, why isn’t he at your side? Why isn’t he here taking care of you, searching for a cure for your poison like I am?”
Your eyes must’ve widened in shock because he laughed. “Yes, Precious. I haven’t been at your side these last few weeks because I’ve been searching for the cure.”
“H-How do you even know what’s wrong with me?” Your mouth was agape, though it probably wasn’t hard to guess what had afflicted you. You showcased all the typical signs of poisoning. But he hadn’t been around to see them.
He smiled softly at you. “The water has ears, Precious. Your sisters and your friend are out in the yard talking about it constantly. I have heard it all, and I think I’m this close to coming up with something to help you.”
“Is that why you’ve kept your distance? You didn’t want to come crawling to my side empty-handed?”
“Yes.” He reached out and grabbed your hand, holding it tightly. “I didn’t want to come back to you unless I knew I had something to offer you. I know it may have been selfish, but please know that my intentions were nothing but good and pure.” He pressed his lips together as his eyes searched your face. “Please, (y/n), let me prove to you that I really do care for and love you. Let me help you. Let me stay.”
Every fiber of your being screamed “NO,” but you knew that he would argue with you and you had no energy or strength to deal with that. It didn’t mean that you’d let him weasel his way into your bed once more; it just meant that he could maybe pick up a shift in watching over you and give Peggy and your sisters a bit of a break.
Reluctantly you nodded your head. “Alright. You can stay,” you whispered bitterly.
He visibly relaxed, his lips falling into a soft smile and his eyes glistening in the dim light. “Thank you. Don’t worry, Precious.” He leaned down and pressed his lips to your forehead, letting them linger there for longer than you liked.
At one point in life, you would’ve reveled under his touch, but now that you’d had a taste of something different—something better that only Bucky could give you—it only made you cringe and long for the lips you really loved.
He exhaled sharply, letting his breath ghost your skin, before finally pulling away and replacing his lips with his hand. His skin was rough against yours as he pet your head, brushing your hair back. He smiled softly at you, his eyes holding a promise. “I’ll find a way to heal you; I promise I will. You’ll get better.”
———
You got worse.
Brock took over your evening schedule, taking care of your dinner by helping you choke down what little of ambrosia and nectar you could and holding your hair back as you later threw it up and by making sure you could sleep and were clean. He’d talk to you at night, telling you about how the kingdom was doing, how the rivers flowed, how everything was going to be okay.
If you didn’t absolutely loathe the man, you would’ve been grateful for him. He was a calming presence at your side, just talking with you. Not pestering you about cures or technicalities of the kingdom. He just talked about whatever came to mind.
For a while, nothing changed.
But then, a week after Brock came back, you started seizing.
Carol had been watching you that evening when you suddenly tensed up and blacked out. She said you suddenly went stiff as a board before shaking, eyes rolling to the back of your head as your muscles convulsed. She didn’t know what was going on at first, panicking as you just shook. She was unable to do anything to help you and you had a feeling that that kind of powerlessness made her scared.
Pietro was called right away and he made his entrance right at the end of the seizure as you were coming out of it.
You were confused and dazed; you didn’t know what was going on and it made you scared. You were tired and sore and your head ached.
It didn’t take Pietro long to diagnose what had happened.
It had been over a month since you’d been poisoned, and you weren’t able to keep anything down, so Pietro labeled it as a provoked seizure due to low ichor-sugar. With no food or drink able to enter your system, the levels had dropped dangerously low and had triggered the seizure.
And that was when they broke out the IVs and feeding tubes.
Your mother demanded them; she was growing desperate. While the gods didn’t need to eat to survive, they did need the nutrition to keep internal levels balanced. Such nutrition typically came from ambrosia or nectar, but you couldn’t get either down or keep them in your stomach.
So, if you couldn’t get the nutrition of your own volition, they’d force it in.
The tube and needle were extremely uncomfortable. They’d snaked the feeding tube into your stomach through your nose and you couldn’t move your head without it shifting weirdly. The IV stuck out of the back of your left hand, making it impossible to move it without pulling the needle out or jamming it in further.
You hated it, but it was necessary.
Your body was in desperate need of the nectar and ambrosia; the lack of it was only hurting your health more.
But even when you were getting the sustenance you needed, you still were not getting better. Your health continued to go downhill gradually until you didn’t even have the strength to lift your hand. Breathing alone was a chore, and it was clear that your days were numbered.
Even your family had to admit it.
You weren’t living; you were surviving and you were barely doing that.
It was only a matter of time before you were out of time.
Brock was at your side, holding onto your hand as he always did, but for once he was silent. His eyes were dark and hooded, his lips were set in a seemingly permanent frown. He was sour, brooding, thinking, and the silence that entailed was driving you mad.
“What’s on your mind?” you croaked out, breaking the silence. Your voice, though the only sound in the room, was hollow and ragged. It wasn’t yours anymore; it was nothing but a harsh ghost blowing away in the wind.
His brown eyes flickered up to you and his face softened. “Oh, nothing much, love. Just about you.”
“What about me?” You squinted at him, fighting to keep your eyes open. Even that was a struggle now; you were so weighed down by exhaustion that your eyes refused to stay open half the time.
He squeezed your hand gently. “How even when dying you’re still the most beautiful girl I’ve ever known. I’m sorry that I wasn’t good to you like you deserved. I’m sorry I was stupid and foolish. I’m sorry I ever let you go.”
“Brock…” His apology was sincere and it made you happy and peaceful, but it wasn’t going to change anything. He’d had his chance and, even though the odds said that you would never have your Bucky again, he was never going to have another one. You’d done that game and your death wasn’t going to make you want to play it again. Sure, you were grateful that he was here to help take care of you, but that didn’t entitle him to another shot at your heart. You’d learned your lesson and you were never going to let him in again.
“No, don’t say anything, Precious. I know what you’re going to say but I can’t hear it. Just… Just let me pretend for a moment that I have you back, that you’re mine once more; just for a little bit longer.” He let out a shuddering breath then, bowing his head and resting it on the bed. “Please…”
You stayed silent. You didn’t have the energy to burst his bubble. You closed your eyes as the room fell into silence once more. Maybe you could nap now, but you didn’t want to sleep. All you did anymore was sleep and you were tired of it.
“Rumlow,” called a soft voice in the dark.
You cracked your eyes open to see Peggy standing at the foot of your bed. She was looking down at the man that was sitting beside you, her eyes cold and unfeeling. You hadn’t even heard her come in…
He straightened up, letting go of your hand and standing. “Peggy.”
The woman’s eyes glowed softly in the dim light. “You can go home now,” she said, her voice low so as to not disturb you. “I’ve got her for the night.”
“Are you sure? Really, it’s no trouble for me to stay here and watch her.” You could hear it in his voice that he didn’t want to leave.
“I’m sure. Go home.”
Brock looked like he wanted to resist, but the stare that Peggy was giving him was withering. Eventually, he backed down, lowering his head in submission. “Call me if you need anything,” he mumbled before walking out of your room.
It was just you and Peggy now, and you cracked a weak smile up at her. “You got me?”
At the sound of your voice, she turned her attention to you and grinned. “Yeah, always.” She made her way over to the side of the bed and sat down in the chair that had become a permanent fixture in your room. “How are you doing?”
“Same as always,” you choked out. “I’ll be honest with you, Peggy: I don’t know how much longer I can do this.” Your voice cracked as you spoke and your chest rose and fell with labored breaths. “It… It hurts so goddamn much.”
“I know, love. I know.” She reached forward and placed her hand on your forehead, letting it sit there as her eyes fluttered closed. “I know it hurts. I know you’re suffering and I’m sorry. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more for you…” She swallowed heavily and took a shuddering breath. “I think we’re running out of time, (y/n).”
You figured; but it was different hearing it said. It had seemed that there was some unspoken rule that stated that they couldn’t talk about death or how fast you were dying out loud, but now Peggy was breaking that rule and it made the situation that much more real. If everyone was being honest, you had maybe a week left at this rate. It’d been two months and, while you’d put up as much of a fight as you could, you were fighting a losing battle.
You only nodded your head slowly. “I know we are… I think I’ll be leaving you soon. My mom and sisters don’t want to admit it, but I can feel it. And I can guarantee that if you had Pierce look at me, he’d know that I’m… He’d know that I’m dying.”
Peggy winced as the words were said aloud. Her eyes squeezed shut and her shoulder shuddered. “I don’t want it to be so.”
“But it is so, Peggy; whether we like it or not…” You inhaled sharply through your nose. “Which brings me to another point that neither of us are going to want to talk about, but it has to be done. If— When I die, I want you to take over as Queen of the Underworld.”
“Wh-What?”
“My sisters have their own kingdoms, my mother is retired, and I don’t trust Pierce enough to place him on the throne. You’re the next eligible candidate for the throne, and so I want the crown to pass to you.” You smiled up at her. “You’ll make a fantastic queen.”
She shook her head. “No, no I won’t, (y/n), because you won’t die on us. We can’t let you.”
“Peg, I don’t think you have a choice.” You took another deep breath but this one hurt you and caused you to groan. “I’m sorry.”
Peggy pressed her lips together and stood. “It’s not your fault, love. You should sleep now. I’ve got some things I have to do, alright?”
You were a little saddened that she was leaving you, but you understood. You just dropped a major bomb on her and you would want to get away if you too were in her position. “Alright.”
She left, leaving you all alone. The room was dark, silent save for the sound of your labored breathing. It was an eerie setting: you in bed—a corpse just barely living—in the dark with only the dim light from outside illuminating the room. If you weren’t stuck there, you’d be running out as fast as possible; but you couldn’t move. You didn’t think you ever would again.
Your eyes fluttered shut. You took a shallow breath. You clenched and unclenched your hands.
It’s almost over. It’s fine. It’ll be okay.
So why did your heart hurt so much?
Probably because you were leaving people behind.
That seemed like a common theme in death: it didn’t hurt the person dying, but it killed everyone left behind. You couldn’t help but think of your mother and sisters, of the few gods that had been your friends, of… Of Bucky.
Oh, Bucky. You wouldn’t ever get to apologize to him for hurting him, apologize for not being strong enough to protect him, apologize for not being strong enough to live for him. You just prayed that Peggy would talk to him after it was all said and done. Maybe he could go to your funeral. You’d like that—if he was there for one last goodbye even if you weren’t. Maybe he would forgive you anyways.
You started to drift to sleep, letting the darkness over take you, when you were disturbed by a sharp breath. Your face contorted in discomfort as you forced your eyes open, ready to chew out whoever had disturbed your sleep, but the air was sucked from your lungs when you saw the figure at the foot of your bed.
Red rimmed the man’s eyes and dark bags sat beneath them. His skin had lost its summer glow. A short stubble had covered his jaw; he hadn’t shaved in a long time. The blue of his irises was obscured by tears welling up in his eyes. His hands, large and worn, gripped your footboard with white knuckles as he stared at you, his lips parted in a saddened gasp.
Tears welled up in your own eyes as you gasped for the air that had been stolen from your lungs. Your mind must’ve been playing tricks on you; this wasn’t possible. But that didn’t stop you from croaking out, “B-Bucky?”

Erwin’s Niece - Eren Jeager x female reader - Part 1
To introduce a new fandom to this blog, I will start with some Attack on Titan stuff I wrote long ago but couldn’t post here because this was a Danganronpa only blog.
Female Reader - Season 1 Eren - After Trost - SFW

     "FORWARD!!"
     The loud roar of the commander still rang in your ears and gave you a sense of duty and confidence for your first mission beyond the walls. An hour had passed since then, and so far, all had gone according to plan. Flares shot up on all sides around your group, signaling for your uncle to lead you all in a different direction.
     On the horizon you saw an array of dark green trees forming the line of a dense forest. Anxiety filled your heart as you remembered the plan you were sworn to stick to, even in the face of death.
     "Uncle Erwin!?" You shouted up to the commander from your horse behind him. The whistling wind made your soft voice just barely audible. "Commander!?" You tried again. He heard you this time, letting out a loud grunt of acknowledgment.
     "Isn't that it, uncle? The forest!?" You yelled. His eyes widened, and he rose one stern hand in the air, signaling Levi and the others behind you.
     "Hey! Slow, everyone! Slow!" Erwin growled over the wind, and everyone's horses cried out, screeching to a halt before beginning to gallop again, but at a steadier, slow pace. Your horse rode up beside his, snorting excitedly. "Thank you, dear. I wasn't focused." You nodded to him, a small frown tugging at the corners of your lips.
     "Uncle Erwin, this is probably the worst time to be unfocused." You gazed at him with concern. “You're not usually like this... are you still thinking about it?" He did not reply, but merely looked away from you. “You need to stop that, it's gonna get you killed."
     "Hmpf, you just worry about your own life, (Y/N)." You pouted at his harsh tone. "I'm sorry, please don't be upset... I need you one hundred percent focused today. I can't have you getting killed because you're not paying attention."
     "The same goes for you."
     "(Y/N)...." He warned with a voice resembling like a mother scolding her child. He looked to the side into your eyes once again and sighed. "You look so much like your mother when you pout," he said softly, before turning his focus back to the ground in front of him. You looked ahead as well, your eyes feeling a tad glossy all of a sudden.
     "Uncle Erwin..."
     "I never should've brought you. Never should've let you join the scouts in the first place. I told myself I wouldn't but-"
     "Please, don't start this again. It was my choice so you don't have to feel bad about it." He only shook his head and your mounts sped up a bit.
"I promised your grandmother that I'd take care of my little sister and I let her down. Now I've promised your mother I'd keep you safe and look where we are. I can't fail again." You were glad you and your uncle were riding a bit apart from the group. He never would’ve spoken like this with anyone else but you in hearing distance.
     "Erwin, that wasn't your fault. She died serving humanity and she fought until the very end. No one could help her." You made sure he looked straight into your eyes while you said these words of validation. He still felt guilty about your mother's death and he just wouldn't let it go. It wasn't his fault that her 3DMG broke unexpectedly. He wasn't even in Trost until it was too late, but he wouldn't move on.
     "I just don't feel comfortable with letting you out of my sight in titan territory."
     "It’ll be ok... I'll be with Levi's squad. You said yourself that that's the safest place for me." You prepared to branch off with Levi, Eren, Petra and the others as you entered the forest at last. Once you reached the trees, you wouldn't see your uncle until the journey back to the wall.
     "No, the safest place for you would be behind wall Sina where you're supposed to be."
     "Uncle Erwin..." a tear threatened to fall from the corner of your eye, "I had to join the scouts... I had to come with you... You're the only family I have left." It rolled rebelliously down your cheek. His expression contorted into one of restrained pain and grief.
     "(Y/N)..."
     "Don't worry, Erwin. I'll come back. I'll be ok. I'll stay safe and I won't die... I promise. I have the will to live and I feel it. I'll fight for you and for humanity. I know I'm the only family you have left, too." His composure wavered for just a fraction of a second, and he refused to look at you any longer.
     The truth is, you would've joined the scouts even if your mother was still alive.Your Uncle was already your role model growing up, but when she was murdered, taken away from you, you decided for sure that you needed to cling to the only love you had left, and that was Erwin. You had lived with him and the scouts ever since you finished training in the 104th cadet corps.
     "Prepare to split!" He raised his flare gun in the air and shot it, plugging his ear with his free hand as the blast rang out. It was a golden flare, different then all the others, signaling that once the split was over, on the other side of the forest were the ruins of an old city that was destroyed when the titans took wall Maria. This was were they would make camp for the night.
     Your steed whinnied as you pulled its reins to find your place behind Levi's horse.
     "I'm here, Captain!" You called out and Levi nodded, taking your squad ahead. Eren rode close to your side, making you feel kind of uncomfortable. You looked back at your Uncle. He mouthed the three loving words that you knew he was too proud to say out loud, but he knew you needed to hear. You nodded and turned forward as his group of scouts disappeared from sight.
~
     Beautiful, giant trees surrounded and loomed over you. You had never been past wall Rose into Maria, and after Trost you certainly didn't think you'd ever see it.
     It was fine as far as these missions went. A quiet ride with no titan interference so far. Levi rode along quickly in front silently. You could sense fatigue in your horse, but she trudged on dutifully. You had now fallen behind Eld and Petra, and your horse was uncomfortably close to Eren Jeager's once again.
     He looked over to you, a look of determination lining his features. He loosened up a bit though when he noticed you looking at him.
     "This is crazy, huh? You nervous?" He grinned. You didn't answer, but merely looked down at your hands tangled in the horse's ebony mane. You didn't know what to say to him, or how to answer that.
     To be honest, the thing that made you the most nervous was him. After the events at Trost, even though he had proven his loyalty to humanity, he still didn't know how to control his new abilities very well and you weren't sure if you were alright with that. You saw him in his titan form stomping through Trost destroying other titans like it was child's play... You still had nightmares about it all.
   After watching your mother perish in Trost while you and the other cadets escaped, you were very uncertain about having a titan anywhere near you. And that's what Eren Jeager was to you: a titan. He was a ticking time bomb of anger that could turn into a fifteen meter killing machine and that scared you to death.
     You didn't want to be rude to him, though. You were never really friends as cadets but you’d seen him around and knew he was a good kid. He was decent at sparring and moved well in his 3DMG. You saw his trial and he was obviously determined to help, but having him next to you made you uneasy. Titans made your bones shake. Titans ruined your life. Titans took your parents away from you, and Eren's presence made you feel like breaking down into an emotional fit.
     "Miss?" When you didn't answer he became concerned. "Uh, Miss... Smith?
     "(L/N)..." you corrected him, now shaken out of your trance.
     "Oh, yeah sorry. I just thought since you were the Commander's niece..."
     "His sister was my mom. She got married, s-so I have my father's surname. Y-you can just call me (Y/N) though."
     "Yeah... (Y/N)" he looked up, remembering the past,"Oh yeah! I remember you! We've never really talked much, huh? I remember you handing Jean's ass to him that one day though, so you're welcome to be my pal any day!" He smirked mischievously.
     "Haha, y-yeah." You laughed anxiously. You just wanted to get away from him, and quickly.
     "Hey, brats!" Levi hollered from the front, "Shut up! Enough chat back there unless you wanna earn us some unwanted attention!”
     You instantly sat up straight and alerted at the sound of his voice. Eren looked over at you, chuckled in slight embarrassment, then rode ahead.
     A few silent minutes passed, and you were beginning to get a bit antsy. Fidgeting around in the saddle, you wondered why there were no titan encounters yet.
     "The end of the forest is just ahead," Levi stated calmly. "Be on your guard. The ruins of that old town should be just beyond as the Commander said and after that, an even bigger abandoned city. Place could be crawling with titans."
     His last words made your skin crawl. Again, you weren't in this for revenge on the titans. You weren't looking to beat other scouts’ kill count or build a reputation as a famous titan slayer, either. You just wanted to do something to aid humanity, and stay close to Erwin. If he was gonna die out here, you wanted to go with him. Trost had scarred you for life, and you never wanted to encounter another titan again. Of course, you knew that would be impossible out here.
     "Follow Levi's orders, no matter what," you whispered to yourself, repeating the words your uncle had burned into your brain at least fifty times before the expedition. You looked down at your trembling hands as your mare followed the others and exited the forest.
     Eren took notice, looking over with worried eyes.
     "You alright?!" He yelled.
     "Left!" Your horse abruptly galloped and hesitated like a rusty engine before shifting left. You gasped in terror as to your right you saw the reason you were going left. Levi shot a flare into the air.
     It was a small one, maybe four meters tall, and it just walked slowly toward the group. It's hands crossed over it’s chest and held onto its shoulders tightly, and it's short messy brown hair stood out against it’s sickly pale skin. It grinned widely, staring intently at you as you lagged behind.
     "Cadet! Speed up!" Levi yelled furiously, his throat rasping with the strain.
     You shrieked as the titan dove for your horse, and it screeched, leaping far ahead. You joined Eren as the titan fell on its face.
     "That was too close! You ok?" Eren questioned.
      "Y-yeah," you panted.
     "Damned things! Hey, you gotta shake that one off," he encouraged. "Just forget about it. Stay focused." You nodded shakily.
     "Look, there!" Levi yelled back, pointing to his left, "Ahead and to the left, that cluster of trees leads to an open field then to an arrangement of caves just outside a city!" He pointed directly in front of him. "The city we want to camp in is way past that one in front of us! Should we get separated, avoid the left, that city is sure to be completely infested!"
     "Yes, sir!" You all responded in unison.
     Moments passed. Your breathing began to steady as the remains of what was once a fairly large barn passed by on your right side.
     "Move!" You saw Eren's hand reach out and you flinched as he smacked the rear of your horse. It cried out wildly into the air and jerked to the left violently.
     You spun around just in time to see a fifteen meter burst out of the barn, destroying its splintering red walls. Bits of wood flew everywhere and you shielded your faces as the debris showered down around you.
     It chomped at the back of Eren's horse with its large teeth and a vicious, malicious smile crossed it's visage.
     "Eren!" You yelled, reaching back for him.
     "I'll be fine, keep going!"
     "Look forward, cadet! Keep moving, Jeager's fine!" Petra yelled
     Eren's horse was faster then the titan, fortunately, but it was still on your tail as Eren rejoined the rest of you.
     "Captain! Should we engage!?" Petra yelled out, but before Levi could even give the order, his horse was startled by the sight of two more titans that came out from the trees beside him.
     "Damn it!" His horse kicked its legs and shifted to the side, almost stumbling. "Steady, boy, steady!"
     Now with two nine meter titans and the one from the barn following you on all fours, you were starting to panic. Your heart was beating so quickly you could barely think. At this rate, it seemed like you'd never get to Shingashina for Eren to repair the wall.
     "Erwin..." you whispered to yourself the only name that brought you comfort. Thinking of him calmed you down a bit. Memories of him and your mother and father flashed before your eyes. You retreated into yourself, a coping mechanism you’d often resorted to.
     "(Y/N)! Get outta there!" Eren called from ahead of you. You snapped out of it just in time. The three titans dove to grab you all at once, but your horse sensed the danger before you did and dashed.
     "Good girl!" You stroked the mane of the black mare as she galloped on, praising her generously for picking it up where you slacked. It seemed you had finally reached the town ruins, and the sight before you made your blood run cold.
  "Oh... My God..." You spoke softly.
     A horde of titans wandered around the town, and just as soon as they smelled you, they saw you. Now, at least seven pairs of titanic, hungry eyes in many ugly shapes and sizes stared in your direction. Some faster ones were already in front of you, while the bulkier, slow ones waddled toward you from the sides. The horses were running out of room to run as the titans circled in.
     "Aghh!" You heard Jeager cry out. A crawling titan had leapt into the air, and landed with a thud right next to Eren, sending him flying off his horse. He landed flat on his back, knocking the air out of his lungs. A deep, choking noise rose from his throat. His horse landed farther away, and with a shriek of pain and a crack of its neck, it was dead.
     "Eren!" You tried to ride over to his rescue, but a nine meter blocked your path, and your horse refused to go any further, startled out of its mind and possessing far more common sense than you.
     "No! No!" Eren rolled onto his side and screamed toward you. “Leave me! Don't die for me - just go!"
     "No! Pick up Jeager, (Y/N)! He's essential to this mission! If he dies, everyone who dies today dies in vain!" Gunther screamed, pulling out his blades. He waited for Levi's orders. You looked back and forth, conflicted.
     "Hyah!" Snapping your horse's reins, you forced it forward. Diving under the titan's clawing hands, you reached down, grabbing onto Eren's outstretched forearm. "Ugh!" You struggled to heave his weight up. "Eren, you have to help me out here!" He grabbed onto your shirt and the horse's saddle, assisting you in pulling him up. Now sitting up fully, he held on tightly to your back as you sped off toward Levi and the others again, snaking through large trunk-like legs.
     Levi's horse at the lead came to a screeching halt. Now the whole group was completely surrounded. Your horse stopped abruptly, almost smashing into his.
     "What do we do, sir?!" Oluo screamed in dread of the encroaching peril. Levi deftly pulled out his blades in response.
     "Engage! Take 'em all down!" He growled confidently. You reached for your blades as Eren's weight pressed down on you. He leaned back, reaching for his as well. "No! Not you two! Cadets, ride into the forest!"
     "Sir! We must keep Jeager with us! We can't split up!" Petra attached herself to a nearby sunken-in rooftop.
     "These kids won't last two minutes in this mess it’s too concentrated! You wanna keep Jeager safe? Well I say this is the best call! Now go!" He turned to you. It was probably true, it was your first time beyond the walls and you were pretty inexperienced, other then the attack on Trost.
     "Wh-What?!" You scrambled for words.
     "You heard me! That's an order! Cadet (L/N), take Jeager and get the hell outta here!"
     "But-!"
     "It's safer this way! Erwin will kill me if anything happens to either of you! Don't make me say it again! Now ride!" He roared. You knew him well enough to be able to that tell he was losing his patience, though his emotionless expression remained the same. He sprinted off of his horse and attached to the shoulders of a fifteen meter tall monster. When you just sat there, your hands shaking uselessly, you felt Eren's weight press down on you once again.
     "The hell are you doing?! He said go!" Eren screamed angrily in your ear, before reaching around you to snatch the reins and smacking your already jumpy horse into motion. You shrieked, holding tightly onto Eren's arms for balance as your mount kicked up its front legs and ran at full speed into the trees behind it. Levi was right, it was much safer this way. The swarming group of professional titan killers had the titans' undivided attention as they flew around the air. Only one tried to follow you, but Levi quickly cut it down, nodding at you as you looked back at him over Eren’s shoulder.
     "Levi..."
     “They'll be fine. Don't look back... just- just focus." Your trembling lip wanted so desperately for you to let tears fall, but you wouldn't allow it. Eren's arms stayed wrapped around you, holding the horse on track firmly.
     You didn't know what to do now. You knew everyone's goal on this expedition was to keep Eren safe at all costs. He was humanity's hope. But how were you supposed to protect the titan boy that was much stronger, much faster,  and much more capable than you anyway? No one ever told you specifically that you might have to put your life on the line for Eren, but you knew every other scout would, and you weren’t about to be the one pathetic little cadet who didn't take that risk for the mission. You had to prove to the others that you weren't just a stupid kid that got into the scouts even though she's a wimp just because her uncle was the commander. You had to prove that to yourself as well. You could still protect Eren while maintaining a safe distance, right?
     Eren did scare you. Titans did scare you, but you made a silent promise to yourself in spite of it all.
     "Make my uncle proud..." you whispered, forgetting Eren was there completely.
     "What?" He asked.
     "Nothing!" You tensed up, feeling the heat of his chest against your back again. It made you feel very uncomfortable, but you would just have to deal with it for now.
     "A little further until we are sure it's safe, then we'll stop to rest.”

The Words I Always Wanted to Say
Summary
Overall Word Count
Chapter 1: The day of the proposals arrives with neither member of the couple suspecting what's in store.
Aasim had felt like puking all day. It wasn’t the sort of mood he’d hoped to be in on the day of his proposal, but he knew deep inside that postponing it wouldn’t make him feel any better. He’d already rescheduled three times and each day that was supposed to be the day had brought the same queasiness. His nerves would get to him no matter what. He simply had to power through.
Still, if he waited a bit longer then maybe he could rethink the whole picnic aspect of the proposal and spare his stomach the struggle…. No. Clementine would kill Aasim if he told her he was moving back his plans again. She’d already given him enough grief about the ring he’d held onto for a year. If he rescheduled for a fourth time, Clem wouldn’t need to throw Aasim to the walkers. She’d bite off his head herself.
Walking toward the front of the courtyard, Aasim spotted the object of his affections, his one true love. Ruby was making conversation with Clementine, something about the weather and what they should do about the vegetable garden if things got too stormy. Clementine spotted Aasim coming their way and excused herself, giving Aasim a knowing look before walking off. She and Omar were going hunting today.
Ruby noticed Aasim coming toward her a moment later. Turning toward him with a smile, she started to speak just as he did.
“Do you-” Both of them paused, waiting for the other to speak but the silence lasted a moment too long and they both started again. “I wanted to ask-” They stopped again, chuckling at their timing.
“You go first,” Ruby said, waiting patiently.
Aasim cleared his throat, swallowing the lump in it before he spoke again. “I was thinking today would be lovely for a picnic. Are you free?”
Ruby’s brows furrowed slightly. “Well, actually, I had some work I needed to finish up in the greenhouse,”
“I can wait,” Aasim leaned back against the picnic table, trying his best to look casual.
“Actually, it could take a while. Maybe you’d like to join me?” A small smile played on Ruby’s lips.
“…No. We need to do the picnic. Now,”
“But you just said you could wait,”
“I-I lied!” Aasim could feel his face heating up. This was a terrible start. Maybe he should abort today’s proposal after all.
Just as Ruby was about to say something further though, Prisha’s hand appeared on Ruby’s shoulder. “It’s alright, Ruby. I can make sure everything is sorted out in the greenhouse. It’ll be ready for you once you’re done with your picnic,” She looked meaningfully into the redhead’s eyes till Ruby sighed and nodded.
“Alright. It can wait a bit longer, I guess,” Turning back to Aasim, she slipped her warm hand into his. “Now whereabouts did you say this picnic was?”
“If you’ll just follow me…” Aasim turned toward the admin building, his breathing gradually returning to normal. His heart however still beat a frantic staccato within his chest. As they walked, he looked down at his love. “I’m sorry if I was forceful back there. It wasn’t my intention,”
“I know,” Ruby gave her boyfriend’s hand a small squeeze, a soft smile on her face. “It’s sweet of you to put a surprise together for me. My plans can wait,”
“As soon as our picnic is done, I can head over to the greenhouse with you and help finish up whatever work needs to be done,”
“That’d be heavenly,” The sparkle in Ruby’s eyes set Aasim’s heart fluttering. He knew how much the greenhouse meant to her. And time spent together after the proposal, just the two of them, sharing kisses over the planters full of turnips and tubers, would be the perfect ending to what Aasim hoped would be a truly magical day.
Ascending the staircase within the admin building, the pair made their way to the headmaster’s office. Ruby looked round in mild confusion. “Are we grabbing snacks from here and then heading out?”
“Actually, I had a special spot in mind for our picnic today,” Aasim nodded toward the double doors that led out to the balcony. Ruby quirked an eyebrow then headed over to the closed doors. Opening them slowly, she gasped when she saw the spread set out before them.
A faded gingham picnic blanket held the treasure trove of treats Aasim had amassed in the last few weeks. A multi-tiered tea tray constructed out of welded pieces of scrap metal held a multitude of tiny sandwiches. Each was composed out of a pair of old saltines with various fillings in the center from sliced spam to stewed rabbit Omar had prepped in the fashion of pulled pork to garden veggie sandwiches with all manner of fresh vegetables nestled between the stale crackers. Beside the tea tray lay their three teapots, each chipped and broken but still retaining their original dignity and grace. The varied aromas drifting from them told Ruby they each held a different blend of tea. Their finest set of china was also stacked neatly to the side, ready for fine dining. A cracked porcelain container held a good portion of the sparse supply of sugar the group had stowed away accompanied by a small jar Ruby knew to be the last of their honey. A huge bouquet composed of various wildflowers gave the finishing touch to the romantic display.
“Oh, Aasim…” Ruby was at a loss for words as she took everything in.
Silently, Aasim wrapped his arms round Ruby and gently kissed her cheek as he hugged her from behind. “I wanted to put together a surprise worthy of you,”
“This is all too much! Why, if we use up the last of the sugar-”
“Then I’ll trade for more. Don’t worry, my dove. I always find a way,” Loosening his embrace, Aasim sat upon the picnic blanket and motioned for Ruby to do the same.
The two of them settled in for a decadent lunch, both of them eating their fill as the world went by around them, the clouds drifting lazily across the warm, sunny sky as the day went on. As Aasim poured another cup of chamomile tea for Ruby, he found himself lost for a moment in her bright blue eyes. He really could stay like this forever with her. And that’s exactly what this proposal meant: a promise of forever. Not just for things to stay the same but for them to build a future together. Feeling the panic rise within once more, Aasim did his best to keep his composure.
“Something bugging ya, Pookie?” Ruby looked at Aasim over the rim of her teacup as she took a sip.
“It’s nothing, my love,” Aasim paused for a moment, looking out at the courtyard below. Willy was on watch with AJ beside him. Both boys were chatting excitedly, clearly intrigued by something just beyond the walls. Likely a funny looking walker knowing those two. Louis and Violet were at the picnic benches, Louis mending a pair of pants while Violet worked on one of the rabbit hides she was in the process of tanning. Prisha had just emerged from the cellar with a box full of metal pipes balanced in her good arm, likely continuing her seemingly endless quest to restore the school’s plumbing. Turning back to Ruby, Aasim grinned. “Do you know why I chose the balcony for our picnic today?”
“The view?” Ruby mused, glancing through the repair section of the railing down at their friends below.
“That was certainly a factor, but not entirely the full reason. I wanted us to have our lunch up here in order to celebrate all we’ve accomplished. From up here you can see it all: the greenhouse, the vegetable garden, the paddock for Molly, Milky Way and Comet. Even a few years ago, we didn’t have any of those things. It shows how far we’ve come, and I think a primary factor in our success is each other. Together, you and I truly can accomplish anything, even returning a former wilderness to civilization,”
Ruby nodded, admiring their work along with Aasim. “We certainly have accomplished a lot these past few years. And that’s thanks in no small part to you. I don’t think anybody could compete with your work ethic, ‘Sim, not even me,”
“Oh, I doubt that,” Aasim turned back to Ruby, his eyes on her. “Perhaps it isn’t the most romantic thing to say, but one of the things that first drew me to you was seeing how hard you worked. Every day, rain or shine, without fail. At first I thought it was simply a matter of pride, as it is with me. But the longer I observed you, the more I realized why you really work so hard. It’s out of love. You work so that those you love can have better lives and I can’t think of anything nobler than that,”
“Sounds like you were watching me for quite some time,” Ruby looked down at the picnic blanket, her cheeks ruddier than usual. “Now that I think about it, I never asked you what the moment was that made you realize you were falling for me,”
“I don’t think it was any one moment. For a long time, I saw my admiration of you simply as mutual respect. But as the years went on, my feelings gradually shifted into something more. Seeing you grow from the girl who stole my pencil case on my first day at Ericson into such a beautiful, fiery woman of integrity and valor, I can’t remember when I crossed that line from liking to loving you. But I do know this, Ruby O’Donnel. I have loved you for a long, long time,”
Reaching into his pocket, Aasim pulled out the wedding ring. He’d spent the last few weeks polishing it night after night till it glowed with its original radiance once more. It was far too large for Ruby’s finger, likely a man’s ring before, but the beauty of the symbol was there nonetheless. Shifting so that he knelt with one knee forward just as he’d always seen it done in books and long-lost movies, Aasim held up the ring in both hands. “Ruby, my love, will you marry me?”
Ruby was quiet for a second. Then another. Aasim could feel his heart pounding in his ears as he held his pose wondering if someway, somehow, this had been the wrong move to make. Finally, Ruby broke the silence. “I want to show you something. Come with me,”
She could tell Aasim was nervous. Hell, she would be too if he’d left her high and dry after asking the question first. Ruby felt a twinge of guilt at leaving him so perplexed just for the sake of her pride, but she couldn’t say yes just yet. There was something she needed to do first, the very thing she’d been planning in the greenhouse before Aasim sprung the surprise picnic upon her. It wasn’t far to the greenhouse. Once they were there, he’d see why she’d brought him.
The courtyard was empty as they walked through it and the area surrounding the greenhouse too. Aasim looked more and more nervous with each step he took but followed Ruby willingly, obliging her when she opened the greenhouse door for him and motioned for Aasim to enter first. As soon as he did, Aasim let out a reverent gasp.
The entire greenhouse was aglow with candlelight. Mason jars of purple, red and green covered every inch of the space, lined up along the shelves, on the edges of planters, tucked along the sides of the walkways and even a few suspended above them. Some strands of twinkle lights also ran along the bases of the planters, bartered in a recent trade Aasim had been a part of. Flower petals were scattered over the ground, all leading to a central point before their feet. The petals there formed a simple message: I love you.
“Do you like it?” Ruby whispered, causing Aasim to turn round.
“Ruby, I… it’s glorious,” Aasim’s voice caught a bit, his eyes watering lightly.
“Now that you’ve seen it, I bet you’ve figured out why I wanted to go so badly to the greenhouse earlier today. And why I didn’t want to say yes just yet. Cause first I want to say my piece,” Clearing her throat, Ruby pulled out a neatly folded piece of paper from her pocket and began to read. “My love, I can’t remember the first time my eyes turned in your direction in that special way. I’d always thought you were cute, but considering that our early days started with me being more than a bit of a bully to ya, I never thought anything would come of that. Then the world fell apart and we were both so busy surviving I didn’t even let myself believe love was anywhere in my future.
But somewhere along the way, deep within my heart of hearts, I think I always wanted it to be you. Truth be told, our first kiss might have happened a couple days sooner if you’d just asked more politely. I’m happy with the way things ended up though. I’ll never forget our first kiss and I’ll never stop thanking the good Lord you came back to me that day.
This has been something I’ve wanted to do for a while. More than a while, probably from the very start. But I had all sorts of silly thoughts in my head that you had to be the one to propose first or it wouldn’t be proper. That was all a load of horse apples though. So, I put all this together to ask you a question, a question I hope you’ll answer the way I’ve been dreaming. Aasim…” Ruby paused, fishing something out of her pocket. Lifting it up, she revealed a tiny, glittery pink ring, so small it would probably only fit on Aasim’s pinky. “Will you marry me?”
“Yes! Yes!” Before either of them could say anything further, Aasim cupped Ruby’s face and pressed his lips to hers in a deep kiss. That kiss turned to another then another till finally Aasim pulled back and took the ring Ruby had offered. Slipping it as far down as it would go onto his pinky, Aasim held his hand out to admire it.
“Darn, it’s an even worse fit than I thought,” Ruby mumbled. “I’ve been searching all over God’s green earth for a proper ring of some sort and all I could scrounge up was this dress up ring I had from way back before the school even fell,”
“I love it,” Reaching toward the table behind her, Aasim grabbed a length of twine and the gardening shears and snipped off a portion of it. Slipping the ring onto the twine, he tied it around his neck, letting the ring rest just below the zipper on his hoodie. “Honestly, mine is probably an awful fit too. It’s embarrassing really,”
“Are you kidding? You propose with a bona fide gold ring while I use a cereal box prize and you’re acting as if it’s the same thing?” Ruby shook her head, taking the twine and scissors from him and cutting her own piece. Gingerly taking the ring from Aasim, Ruby looped it though the twine then tied it round her neck where it lay snugly just below the collar of her shirt.
The two of them smiled at each other, lost in the happiness of the moment before chuckles escaped their lips.
“I can’t believe it,” Aasim murmured, shaking his head. “For both of us to choose the exact same day… what are the odds? When you didn’t answer my proposal and brought me down to the greenhouse instead, I wasn’t sure what to expect, perhaps a rejection, but certainly not this.”
“Now that’s the silliest thing I ever heard!” Ruby exclaimed, lightly whacking her betrothed on the arm. “As if I’d ever say no to you! I just didn’t want you to steal my thunder!” Her eyes turned to the greenhouse, admiring the décor. “Thank goodness Prisha knew the last few pieces of the plan to get this greenhouse gussied up. I don’t know what would have happened without her help,”
“Prisha knew? She and Willy were the ones who made that tea tray for the picnic! She was in on both plans,” Aasim looked toward the door. “Was she the only one who helped you set this up?”
“Well, Louis was involved too. He was the first one I told about the proposal,”
“And if Louis knew then Clementine knew. Clem was the first one I confided in about the ring,”
The couple shared a look. How far did the others’ involvement go? The courtyard had suddenly been empty as they were heading toward the greenhouse. Was it still empty now? Hand in hand, the pair opened the door and stepped outside.
The courtyard was no longer empty after all. In fact, everyone was there. The others stood round one of the picnic tables, chattering excitedly. As soon as they saw Aasim and Ruby though, they suddenly went quiet. That was until AJ stepped forward.
“Happy wedding!” he shouted, tossing a handful of tinsel into the air. Willy joined him, throwing his own handful and blowing enthusiastically on an old kazoo.
“Boys, remember, it’s ‘happy engagement,’” Prisha corrected gently before her eyes returned to the happy pair. “Congratulations, you two. We couldn’t be happier for you,”
“It’s like I’m giving away my own children,” Louis commented, wiping a mock tear from his eye. “They grow up so fast,”
Clementine shook her head good-naturedly, taking Louis’ hand in hers. “Congratulations, both of you. Seeing as we all knew both your plans, we’ve been working on a little surprise of our own,”
“It’s PANCAKE DAY!” Willy shouted, jumping around ecstatically. Omar lifted up a plate of pancakes that had been hidden on the picnic benches, Violet holding a second plate. Both of them smiled at the happy couple.
Aasim and Ruby shared a smile of their own then stepped forward, joining the group for the celebratory feast. The day hadn’t gone how either of them had expected, yet it had blossomed into something more beautiful than they’d ever dreamed. As Ruby sat down at the picnic table, Aasim’s hand in hers, her family surrounding her, her cheeks glowed with excitement. “Let’s get to planning some weddings!”

Title: Echoed Vexations (Part two)

(PART ONE)
Beginning, summary, and warnings can be found there. Story continued under the cut.

He regretted it instantly.
Catching sight of the white abyss behind Their eyes, the sanctions of his mind found themselves entangled in the monster's clutches. They weren't physically there, but he could feel them all the same-- tendrils like snakes burrowing into his brain, parasitic vermin that rooted themselves into his very core with a vice-like hold. He'd thrash, or fight, but that only ever ended in the pain spiking from a ten to an eleven, proven by the past, and again by Cub's screams of anguish as Scar barely bit back his sobs.
His thoughts echoed in his skull, looping over themselves as the Vex listened in like safe-crackers. He wanted not to think, not to have a single notion cross his mind, but an infinite number of processes scrambled through at once no matter what he tried.
Not being able to defend himself against such beings was humiliating in its own right. Rationally, he knew They were far more powerful than the average human, and a group of Them was nothing to sneeze at when they got serious. The Vex were a corrupt and cruel species who enjoyed little more than acquisitive riches and making others suffer, but as much as he was aware of that, it didn't make being beaten down by something an eighth of his size any less demeaning.
With that train of thought, Scar's auditory input from the outer world was replaced by ringing-- blood seeping out from his ears and from his nose not long after. The taste of copper was bitter on his tongue, mixing with the salt of tears and bile that had risen in his throat.
We're nothing but small, cruel, and materialistic? The concordats forget themselves so...
They will learn from this, mistakes make for better humans.
I think they've forgotten who they belong to.
He dared to think he didn't belong to Them, that he was his own, not even of his own accord, and still his air was cut off. His arms gave out next and he crumbled to the side, gagging on red and trembling as waves of pain crashed over his body. Scar gasped, but his lungs refused to fill, leaving him grasping at his throat and pleading internally.
Do you remember now?
One of Them, or maybe all of Them, had asked.
Do you remember our deal? Do you remember the emblem we burned into your skin when you agreed to join us?
I remember, he begged in his mind, I remember. I'm sorry. Please don't kill me, I'm so sorry. I belong to the Vex. I'm sorry.
Horrid laugher overtook his senses, and a feeble rush of air filled his chest before his consciousness began to fade.
You will never escape us.
They finalized, and his world went dark like the drawing of velvet curtains.
------
Back in the present, flashes of that day and many others raced through his head as if to mock his phobia of thinking itself. It was almost akin to watching his past unfold in third person, like he'd been detached from his body during the events. Bleary yet potent reenactments of metal patterns searing his flesh, of his bones shattering, of gashes and bruises and the life fading from his eyes. All the times he was made to expand their trade, slaving endlessly until his hands were stiff and immobile from overuse, but it still not being enough for Them. Annexing the rest of the industry, becoming number one, having two humans as their play things. Nothing was, or ever would be, enough for the Vex.
Scar's nails raked up his arms as he tried to feel anything other than Their coils invading his brain, doing all he could to reason with himself that they weren't real, for the logical part of him knew they weren't. His hands grasped for the brand ingrained into the flesh of his shoulder blade, fingers feverishly grazing over the risen tissue to find the divot and remind himself that the seal had been severed. His time with them was over. The symbol was broken.
"I'm- I'm safe..." he recited, "I'm away, I'm free, I'm okay…"
The words were more of a finding of his voice than a real reassurance, and Scar fumbled to pull his communicator from his pocket, aware of how much he needed to contact a proper support system. Tears blurred the screen, making the already jumbled letters more difficult to make out, but he managed to gather the necessary information.
He could call for Cub, but the man was away, and even if the notification were to alert him, such an event was likely to jump-start evocations of his own traumas.
Xisuma was available, but he didn't want to pester the already busy admin with his troubles anymore than he'd had to before. The kind man had already spent countless time and energy ensuring that they were all safe inside of the world barrier; a field in which no Vex could enter on Their own, nor abuse Their power if They were to be deliberately summoned by a rogue party. Admin magic, he was thankful for it to the nth degree, but he currently needed a real person in his presence more than anything.
Scar scanned the remaining names on his monitor. There was only one other Hermit who knew about what he'd been through, and he was practically imploring him to be around.
Grain.
There he was!
Scar would've sobbed in relief weren't he already weeping, left struggling to type out a private message to his friend.
<GoodTimeWithScar> Grian are you avaiavble?
<GoodTimeWithScar> i need your help, i'm at Mumbo's base
<GoodTimeWithScar> my base? i don't know, the monument
<Grian> sure am! whatcha need help with?
Scar's thumbs danced awkwardly above the keyboard, grappling with himself over what to say. It was always a struggle to express his troubles in the midst of panic, especially when doing so was a part of the problem. He knew he didn't have to go into depth with the other Hermit, however. That was another benefit of them being aware of one another's history; they didn't need to spill their guts in order to receive a helping hand.
<GoodTimeWithScar> i just need someone here
<GoodTimeWithScar> i can't seem to calm muself down right now
<GoodTimeWithScar> or type out messages poperbly it seems?
<GoodTimeWithScar> haha dang
<Grian> i'll be right there
<Grain> i'm at zedaph's cave, so the distance is a little further than usual, but you know i'm a fast flier
<Grain> so just hang tight, scar
<GoodTimeWithScar> i'm not going anjwhere
Scar dropped his hands to his side with a shaky breath, flinching when a sudden softness brushed against his hand. He glanced down only to see a concerned looking Jellie, the cat purring softly and nuzzling his arm. He cracked a feeble smile and reached out to pet behind her ear, her very presence providing a degree of comfort.
Much to his surprise, it truly wasn't long before the telltale beating of wings thumped through the air, Grain landing expertly in the grass and folding his feathered pinions snug behind his back.
"Scar?" he asked, cautiously approaching the other man.
Scar looked up to him, managing to raise a hand and wave as a greeting. Still wrought with trepidation, his shaking arms were scored with scratches he'd unconsciously inflicted while attempting to ground himself. Tear tracks lined his cheeks and his hair had become an unkempt mop, but he'd pulled through the worst of it.
"Oh, dude…" Grian said sympathetically, stepping over the rest of the way and crouching by his side. "It's alright, I'm here."
He nodded slow, "Thanks, Gri…"
The avian returned the nod and extended his hand, allowing Scar to take hold of it as a reminder of his security. "It's no problem. I see Jellie showed up to help, too."
"Yeah," Scar chuckled humourlessly, "She can always tell when I'm upset…"
"She's good like that," Grain confirmed, earning a well timed meow from the feline beside them.
They both let out a small laugh, Scar's being far weaker but present nonetheless.
"How about we get you away from all this noise and take care of those scratches?" Grain asked, and the other Hermit nodded again.
He helped Scar to his feet, leading him away from the distant thundering of the base's heart. They departed from the heights of the ruins, Grain ushering Scar to settle down against a tree once they were out of earshot of all the clamour.
"Let me see your arms, 'kay? I'll fix them right up."
Scar held out his scored arms after a moment of hesitation, finding them still stinging with the red drag of nails.
Grain produced a potion and gauze from his inventory, pouring the thick blue liquid onto the cotton before dabbing it across the irritated skin. A cool numbness spread over the area, and Scar relaxed at the alleviation of his symptoms. People often overlooked Mundane potions due to them having no official use, but anyone suffering from a mild ailment could tell stories of just how practical its effects could be. From soothing scrapes or minor burns, all the way to settling stomach aches or migraines, they could work little wonders. A Mundane potion for mundane problems.
"Better?" Grain asked.
"Much… thank you. Sorry for making you fly all the way over here."
"No, no, don't apologize, it's no big deal," he assured, motioning to brush off his concerns. "I needed to get out of that cave anyway. Not to bash on Zed's decorating skills, because the gadgetry is amazing, but the rest is all nonsense and greys and belch-- it was making my head spin."
Scar nodded, but couldn't help the guilt that crept into his chest, eyes darting to the side as if in anticipation for the hostility he sensibly knew would never come.
Grain smiled tenderly and placed a hand on his friend's shoulder, "I mean it, it's no trouble. Besides, you'd do the same for me. Geez, man, you have!"
"I guess you're right," Scar agreed, turning once more to face the winged man. It wouldn't be the first time either Hermit had coaxed the other down from a panic, for not only had Grain been there for him in the past, but vice versa as well.
Most recently, he could recall, someone had led a bundle of animals into the blond's mansion as a prank. Such a feat was usually harmless fun, as was the case with the challenges they'd created wherein a herd of chickens were set loose in the same manner. The problem, however, arose when the trickster wanted to break the chain of stunts involving birds, and instead released a colony of rabbits into the manor's grounds. It was intended to be innocuous, but to say it hadn't ended well would be making a molehill out of a mountain.
Mumbo and the baffled prankster themselves had immediately volunteered to clear the animals from the house, whereas Scar stayed with Grain at the man's starter base until the mansion was deemed clear, and he was able to find resolve. It had been a long day for them all, but Grain especially. He'd mostly adapted to seeing hares in the wilderness, but finding himself in an enclosed space with dozens of the creatures sent him spiraling. Scar had been told tales of a man named Sam; a heinous individual with ears of a rabbit, who despite the innocent appearance, caused Grain immense suffering.
He's from a chapter in my story that I'd much rather leave behind, Grian once said, I have a far better future to write now, anyway.
That last line always stuck with Scar, no matter how much time passed after he heard it. There were brighter eras ahead, they just had to move forward and stick around to see them. In the end, he of all people could respect wishing to leave one's past as just that. The past. Even so, he'd probably still deck that Sam character given the chance.
"Of course I am," said Grain abruptly, and Scar blinked back to the present after an internal game of catch-up to remember what they'd been speaking of to begin with.
Nodding and smiling faintly, he asked, "So, what are you doing for the rest of your free time?"
The Brit grinned in turn and ruffled his wings, "Well, my schedule is actually rather jam-packed. I'm spending the rest of the day with a friend who's in quite the pickle."
Scar raised his eyebrows, pointing towards himself, "Is it me? Am I in the pickle?"
Grian laughed, "Yes, my briney bro, you are. And I'm determined to stay by your side until you're feeling better again."
Thankful, Scar smiled as well, knowing it would do no good to feel remorseful for taking up his companion's time, or to try and convince him he would be fine on his own.
"Thank you, Grain," he said truthfully.
"Anytime," he replied, "Now let's find something nice calm to do."
"Now those are words I never thought I'd hear you say."
The two chuckled and made their way off, ready to waste the rest of the afternoon in a mellow rhythm to starve off any further panic. Scar knew he'd likely feel off for a while, not fully himself again until at least the following day. The lingering tension of his episodes always latched to his nerves and left him on edge, but he knew the company of an understanding friend would lessen the blow. They'd spend the coming hours in a tense yet manageable tandem, and to some degree, Scar could accept that.
He was still learning to trust the fact he was safe, no matter how much he already wished to embrace his freedom with open arms. Eventually, one day, maybe, he could believe it entirely, or at least to more ample extent. Until then, it was gradual steps forward on the road to recovery.
Grain skipped beside him, cracking light-hearted jokes laced with reassuring phrases, all made to help lift Scar's aching mood.
Wherever it was that road led, however, at least he wasn't walking it alone.

Trip
Pairing: MX’s Shownu x OC [Chaewon] || MX’s Hyungwon x OC [Siyeon] Genre: slice of life, slight fluff Word Count: 2,051 Summary: Siyeon later finds out that their Girls’ Trip turns out to be more of a Couple Trip instead much to her dismay. previously: Closer
Warning: semi-proofread
hihi. am back! and this is part two to Closer. but i still think that you can read it on its own accord. i may or may not write a third part to this, but shall see how i feel or whatever. anyways, this one was fun to write and actually not a re-written chapter, but inspired from one. lol anyways, i thin that’s it so yeah, happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
"Wow."
Siyeon stared at the place as she, Chaewon, and their two friends who were also sisters, Minjae and Jaehwa, arrived in Seogwipo and were staying at their friends' aunt's home.
"This place is really nice."
"Oh yeah. Aunt Narae uses it as a vacation home and allowed us the space this weekend." Minjae said with a smile.
"Yes" Jaehwa agreed. "And the best part is that we each get to have our own rooms"
Siyeon cast them an incredulous look.
"Wow, really? Usually we just share like always"
"Not this time. One for each of us." Chaewon confirmed with a grin. "We're going all out this time to fully relax."
"Only down side is that we gotta go shopping for supplies and groceries as she didn't have time to prepare us." Minjae stated.
Siyeon groaned and whined a bit.
"I went to sleep late. Woke up early. Flew on a plane, settle, and go out shopping? Boo."
"You'll live." Chaewon commented with a laugh.
"Alright, Siyeon, how about this."
Minjae suddenly prompted as Siyeon cast her friend a puzzled look.
"We'll go out shopping and get all the stuff while you make sure the place looks good and clear out anything before going back to sleep."
"I guess. Okay, alright, I'll do that. Thanks."
"Anyways, let's settled in the rooms first before doing anything else." Jaehwa suggested as all four entered the spacious villa.
~~~~~~~
Siyeon was fast asleep after clearing the villa while the others left for the store. While in her sleepy state Siyeon felt her body being pulled backward as she softly collided with something a second later. She caught a whiff of a very familiar scent, but dismissed it. Siyeon tried to scoot away, but whatever was keeping her in place held her firmly letting out a small chuckle. Huffing, Siyeon opened her eyes and re-positioned herself to face Hyungwon who lied beside her with a his body propped by one arm and the other on her with a mischievous smile.
"Aww, did I disturb my little kitten?" Hyungwon cooed while playfully patting Siyeon.
Siyeon eyed him with a frown.
"Yes. I thought I told you that it was a girls' trip this weekend."
"You did."
Hyungwon nodded as he continued to pat the female nonchalantly with his free hand.
"So what are you doing here, anyways, Hyungwon?"
"To spend more time with you and the others, but mainly with you."
"Hmm, right. Wait. The others? As in Changkyun and Jooheon came along, too?"
Siyeon's brows furrowed until realization hit her and she groaned into her bed.
"She's such a brat. They're so mean. It's like a couple vacation now."
Hyungwon chuckled before re-positioning himself to comfortably lay in bed and pulling Siyeon against his chest. She allowed him to pull her closer as she reluctantly nuzzled against him.
"You knew, didn't you? That's why you asked that day."
"Mmhmm."
He hummed as silence fell between them. He spoke a moment later when Siyeon didn't speak.
"Does that bother you?"
"Not really," She answered while looking up at him with a small smirk, "But now I have to deal with you even on vacation."
Hyungwon chuckled before placing a small kiss on her forehead. Siyeon's lips quirked upward upon thinking of something as she eventually wrapped her arms around him.
"Sing me a lullaby."
Hyungwon smiled before softly singing a random song. The pair soon fell asleep shortly after.
~~~~~~~
"What are we doing?" Hyunwoo asked Chaewon as the couple shopped around the market.
She cast her boyfriend a look.
"Buying food, Hyunwoo."
"Oh."
"You weren't listening earlier were you?"
"Uh, I was. No. Sorry.
Chaewon shook her head with a chuckle as she scanned the items.
"Anyways, what should we make to eat tonight?"
The pair along with the others were buying things. Chaewon and Hyunwoo were in charge of buying actual food. Minjae and Changkyun were in charge of purchasing the drinks and games while Jaehwa and Jooheon were in charge of getting the snacks and house necessities. Meanwhile Hyungwon and Siyeon would be picking up the cake for Hyunwoo.
"We can grill tonight and have a barbecue." Hyunwoo suggested.
"We could do that."
"Or we can have hotpot."
"We could do that, too."
"Unless, no one really wants to cook and we can order take out."
"That's a high possibility for tonight as we all just flew in."
"Is there anything you're craving?" Hyunwoo asked not sure himself on what they should eat tonight.
"Um, not really craving anything. Everything sounds pretty good at the moment."
Chaewon placed a few already packed trays of pork belly into the cart.
"Are we only going to eat pork belly this whole weekend?" Hyunwoo questioned his girlfriend.
"Because I would like to eat beef, too, Won."
Chaewon rolled her eyes while placing other packed meat into the cart.
"I was getting there. Calm down. I didn't forget about y'all."
"Sorry."
Chaewon brushed him off with a small smile knowing that he was just eagered to eat when possible.
"It's fine, but we have to make sure the food lasts for the remainder of our stay. I don't want to go shopping more than I have to."
"Yes, yes."
Hyunwoo placed more meat into the cart. Chaewon chuckled.
"You really love meat."
"As much as I love you."
"You're so cheesy."
Hyunwoo chuckled before sweeping his eyes over the other products.
"What else should we get?"
Chaewon glanced at their cart before looking at her boyfriend with a slight smile.
"We need to buy rice and vegetables, too. Because that's a lot of meat and I don't want to just eat that for the next four days."
~~~~~~~
Siyeon stirred awake as her eyes fluttered open to see Hyungwon sound asleep beside her. She remembered that he and company had joined her and the others on their supposed girls' vacation. Siyeon pulled away as Hyungwon continued to sleep. She checked her phone, saw the time, and a text message from the girls less than half an hour ago asking if she could check if the house had certain utensils to use for a barbecue tonight. Stretching and yawning, Siyeon slowly got out of bed and left the room to go and check. Once she left, several minutes later Hyungwon jolted awake upon his phone ringing. He fumbled about until he located his mobile device and answered the call.
"Hello?"
His other hand went to locate Siyeon's body, but he was met with empty spaces and frowned while looking over to where he remembered Siyeon was supposed to be.
"What?"
Hyungwon wasn't paying attention to the other person on the other line.
"Cake? Oh yeah."
He sat up in bed while ruffling his hair and let out a yawn before speaking to his friend.
"Yeah, me and Siyeon will leave in a little bit to pick one up. Okay. See y'all later."
Hyungwon hung up and got out of bed in search of Siyeon. He found her in the kitchen on the phone going through the cabinets.
"Yeah, we have that here. Probably just get more of those. Okay. See y'all soon. Bye."
Siyeon hung up and turned around to meet Hyungwon.
"Oh. Hi."
Hyungwon shot her a lazy smile with a head tilt.
"We have to pick up a cake. Let's get ready before going."
~~~~~~~
"Um, does the house have enough space for all this?" Hyunwoo asked his girlfriend once they were in line along with Jooheon and Changkyun.
"Um, dunno, but we'll find out." Chaewon answered with a laugh. "We should be fine. I think."
"Is this gonna fit in the car though?"
"Minjae already got another car rented." Changkyun answered with Jooheon nodding.
"Yeah, she and Jaehwa went to pick it up a while ago."
"Good thing we drove in two cars instead of one." Chaewon commented with a laugh. "Because I wouldn't wanna do another trip."
"By the way, already called Hyungwon and he and Siyeon will be picking up the cake in a bit."
"Alright, cool. Thanks, Jooheon."
"No problem."
Hyunwoo gazed at the loaded carts of things when Chaewon got his attention.
"Hey, I'll be back. Siyeon wants ice cream, but doesn't know which kind."
"Could we get ice cream, too?"
"Yeah, I second that."
Both Jooheon and Changkyun chimed in last minute with sweet smiles.
"Sure. What do y'all want?"
Chaewon looked at them expectantly.
"I'm fine with whatever." They answered in unison.
"Alright. I'll be back. Y'all know what to do if we're not back by then."
Chaewon walked off soon afterwards.
"Jaehwa left me her card." Jooheon stated while holding up Jaehwa's card.
"So did Minjae."
Changkyun held up Minjae's card. Hyunwoo chuckled as he followed suit.
"Chaewon gave me hers, too."
~~~~~~~
After everyone returned home and changed into comfortable clothing did they start prepping for the barbecuing tonight.
"Is this small enough?"
"I skewered all the chicken pieces."
"The grill's ready to go."
"Set the table."
"Stuff's on the grill now."
"I'm gonna eat an ice cream. Does anyone want one?"
"That's after the main meal."
"Ugh, fine."
Went the conversation between the group of eight as they maneuvered around the back patio coming in and out of the house.
"Let's take a drink first!" Minjae announced as she made sure everyone had a drink in hand.
"Of course you wanna start out drinking already." Siyeon commented as Minjae grinned before holding her can in the air.
"Happy birthday to Hyunwoo even though it's not until tomorrow!"
"Happy birthday, Hyunwoo!"
The group cheered before consuming their drink and went about the rest of their evening.
~Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Hyunwoo, happy birthday to you~
The group sang while Hyunwoo blew out the candles after eating their meal and moved on to dessert. They cut up the cake with everyone getting a slice save for Siyeon who opted for ice cream. Chaewon passed a fork to her boyfriend, but Hyunwoo had already took a bite out of his slice without it.
"Please, babe, use a fork."
Chaewon waved the fork for her boyfriend to take with a pointed look.
"Uh, thanks."
Hyunwoo took the offered fork with a sheepish look and used it to eat the remainder of his dessert.
"Anyways, what are we doing tomorrow?" Siyeon asked a second later while happily consuming the frozen treat.
"We can go hiking along the coast in the early morning." Jaehwa suggested.
"I thought we decided to check out the Cheonjiyeon Falls or the Jeongbang Falls."
Chaewon spoke next with Minjae chiming in.
"Didn't we want to ride the ATV or go shooting at Daeyoo Land?"
Siyeon then remembered something.
"Wait, we talked about those among ourselves before this trip became a couple trip."
"Oh, good point, Siyeon," Changkyun stated with a grin, "We can have an only couple outing tomorrow."
"Ooh, I second that." Jooheon agreed while slinging an arm around Jaehwa with a cheeky look. "Jaehwa and I can have all day together just the two of us while all of y'all can do the same."
"Hmm, that's sounds cool."
Hyunwoo nodded liking the idea.
"Chaewon and I can spend my birthday all day together without any of you disturbing us."
"Wow."
"Perfect."
Minjae grinned with a clap of her hands.
"So we agree that tomorrow we're all spending time as a couple away from one another, yeah?"
While a majority agreed Siyeon was about to decline when she felt a soft pat on her thigh from Hyungwon. She glanced at him as he cast her a lazy smile before looking at the others.
"Yeah, that's fine. Siyeon and I will be checking out the O'sulloc Tea Museum tomorrow just the two of us."
"Ooh, sounds fun for sure." Jaehwa said in excitement as she shot her friend a playful look.
"Oh, definitely, Jaehwa. Most definitely." Chaewon stated while wriggling her eyebrows at Siyeon.
Siyeon rolled her eyes at the two's words, but a small smile graced her lips.
"So," Minjae interjected while looking at the group, "Tomorrow is Couple Day meaning the couples won't be bother until later tomorrow night to plan the rest of the days."
Everyone agreed as they continued their night of merriment before turning in to rest themselves for tomorrow.
List 1 promt 16 & 17 with LOONA (and maybe a reader?) Thank you💕
Loona / Halloween Prompts
16. “I told you guys this Ouija Board wasn’t a good idea.” + 17. After deciding to conduct a test of courage, a group of friends ends up lost in the woods with an unknown animal hunting them.
Admin Kiwi
A/N: I used their real names in this (for the most part). Also this is long as heck but I hope you all enjoy!
Warnings: This is another horror-themed prompt. No happy ending here. If you don’t like horror, then I’d suggest you skip past this one.
Tumblr media
A full moon hung above the woods, casting shadows down against the girls’ faces as they looked up at the mouth of the trees. It was past midnight now, deep into the night, and the woods had never been so dark. Even the flashlights seemed to falter at the sight.
“So are we going to go in?” Sooyoung turned, her long hair flowing down her shoulders as she looked out at her twelve friends, flashlight sweeping over them, looking all too excited with her grin. Biting your lip, you took another look at the woods. This hadn’t seemed so bad when she’d first suggested it, but now….
“Do we have to?” Jiwoo squeaked, holding her flashlight close and Jungeun’s arm even closer. She looked pale in the moonlight, eyes wide as they darted from the woods to Sooyoung and then back again.
“Don’t chicken out on me now. Come on, we all agreed on this!”
“I agree, I think it’ll be fun to see who runs out first,” Hyejoo said, stepping forward to join Sooyoung at the front of the group. After a moment’s hesitation, Chaewon joined her.
With a sigh, Haseul shoved her hands into her pockets and stepped forward as well. “Why not, what’s the worst that could happen?”
“I can think of a few things,” Jinsoul said, but the girls ignored her. Yeojin, sporting a grin, grabbed Vivi’s arm and skipped up to join the other girls.
“Don’t back out just because you’re scared the youngest will out last all of you.”
“Oh, you’re on,” Hyunjin said, crossing her arms despite Heejin’s squeak of protest behind her. “You have the goods, right (Y/N)?” At her question, you nodded and held up the box holding the Ouija board.
“Yeah, but I’m not happy about it.”
“Let’s get a move on, then,” Sooyoung said, ignoring you and clapping her hands. “We don’t want to be out here all night.” With that, she turned and headed into the woods, not an ounce of fear in her. As you followed the group in, you looked up at the full moon one last time. Well, there were thirteen of you there. With that many people, you would all be safe. Right?
The inside of the woods was dense and dark. You’d walked around the woods during the day, and even then, it was spooky. But at night, there was an even heavier vibe. The trees blocked out most of the light coming from the moon, and everyone had to train their flashlights at the path as to not trip over any vines or rocks. Every few steps, something would brush up against your arm, but you tried to ignore it, hoping that it was just branches from trees or bushes. Jiwoo, up ahead of you a few paces, squeaked every few steps, prompting laughter from Yeojin. Somehow, the youngest didn’t seem at all scared. Next to you, Yerim took your arm, clutching at you tightly.
“Where’s the clearing you were talking about? ‘Cause all I see right now is trees,” Jungeun complained, kicking at a rock and sending it skittering into the bushes, much to Jiwoo’s dismay.
“It should be right up ahead,” Sooyoung said, squinting into the dark. “It feels further away since we’re moving so slow.”
“Oh, there!” Yeojin pointed, and everyone turned to look. Through the trees, there was a small sliver of light. An opening.
“Sweet, we’re here!” Picking up her pace, Sooyoung all but ran towards the clearing, pushing a few branches out of the way. Not wanting to be left behind, you followed with the rest of the girls, trying not to get scratches on your arms as you pushed away the branches and followed her through.
Sure enough, there was a clearing. It wasn’t huge, but it was big enough to fit thirteen people. The ground was slightly overgrown, and stumps of trees could be seen under the tall grass and vines. But for some reason, no trees had grown back, leaving the clearing open to the light of the moon.
“You know, some people say this place was used by cults or witches back in the day,” Hyunjin said, a grin on her face as she sat down on one of the stumps.
Whimpering, Heejin shoved her shoulder. “Shut up! You’re just saying that to scare us!”
“No, I heard the rumors too! Why else would there be a random clearing out here in the middle of the woods?” Sooyoung sat down across from Hyunjin and spread out, much too comfortable in the middle of the woods. “It’s got to be cult stuff.”
“We’re here for the cult stuff!” Yeojin called, loudly enough to make the girls around her jump. Groaning, Yerim slapped her hand over the other girl’s mouth.
“Shut up!”
“Whatever, I don’t believe in that stuff,” Haseul said, shaking her head. “Let’s just get this over with.” She sat down on one of the stumps, wrinkling her nose in disgust, and the rest of the girls followed her lead, sitting on stumps or rocks or whatever else the could find. The moon seemed to be directly overhead now, and you looked up at it for a moment, feeling something sink in your stomach. That was weird….
“(Y/N), pass me the Ouija board.” Yeojin held her hands out, her loud voice shaking you from your thoughts. With a sigh, you handed it over, happy to be rid of it.
“I’m not sure how I feel about this….”
“Not you too, (Y/N)!” Sooyoung pulled her hair back, grinning once again. “It’s Halloween, you have to do stuff like this!”
“But playing with an Ouija board in cult woods?” Jinsoul gulped as she looked around. “Isn’t that a little too much?”
“There’s nothing in these woods,” Jungeun said, exasperated. “Let’s just get this over with. I’m pretty sure I have at least five bugs crawling on me at this very moment and I’m ready to go home.” At her words, Jiwoo whimpered and brushed at her legs frantically, face scrunched up in a way that would be cute if you weren’t too preoccupied thinking about the moon to notice it. Even Hyunjin looked a little squeamish at the mention of bugs, her face turning white as she brushed at her legs.
“You ladies are wimps,” Yeojin declared, slamming her hands down onto the prepared board. “Now are we going to do this or not?”
“There’s no way all of us can do it. The board isn’t big enough,” Vivi pointed out.
“Then half of us will do it. I know I’m going to do it and so will Sooyoung and Hyunjin. Who else?”
After a moment’s hesitation, with everyone looking at each other, Hyejoo stood up and dragged Chaewon along with her. “We’ll do it.”
“Me too,” Jungeun said, making Jiwoo squeak in protest. Still, she managed to wiggle out of the other girl’s grasp to join the girls at the board. Whimpering, Jiwoo grabbed Jinsoul’s arm instead.
“I’ll do it too, I guess,” Vivi said with a sigh, getting up. “That’s enough people, right?”
“(Y/N), are you sure you don’t want to play?”
“I’m good, Yeojin.” You shook your head hard enough to startle Yerim at your side. “Just watching is enough for me.”
“Alright, then let’s get started!”
Chaewon jumped, looking up with wide eyes. “Wait, do you know how to play this?”
“I do,” Sooyoung said, placing her hands on the planchette. “I’ll be the questioner. Come on, gather in close and try to make sure your knees are touching each other in a circle.”
“Okay….”
“Now.” She paused for dramatic effect, making Yeojin groan.
“Hurry up!”
“Okay, okay! Now, let’s move it in a circle to warm it up. Blah blah blah, I’m only allowing good spirits to communicate with us. Hello to whatever is out here in these cult woods. Can you say hello?” Some of the girls hissed in opposition to her choice of words, but she shushed them, making them all be quiet. For a moment, nothing happened. Yeojin opened her mouth, probably about to say something snarky, when the planchette finally moved. She snapped her mouth shut, watching with everyone else as it slowly crept across the board.
Yes.
“Well,” the youngest said slowly. “I guess that’s kind of an answer.”
“It actually moved,” hissed Jinsoul, her eyes wide, making Jiwoo whimper again and bury her head in the other girl’s shoulder.
“I hate this!”
“Who are you?” Sooyoung asked, grinning again. You shivered, leaning into Yerim. For a moment, nothing happened again. But the girls waited patiently, until the planchette began to move.
“Is that an A?”
“Shh, Yeojin, shut up!”
Adam.
“Who the hell is Adam?” Hyunjin asked, glancing around. “That’s such a boring name.”
“Don’t be insulting,” Haseul said, nudging the girl’s back with her foot. Heejin was clutching onto her arm, eyes glued to the board and face white. “I’m pretty sure that’s against the rules.”
Shifting, Vivi looked at Sooyoung. “What else should we ask it?”
“Umm. How about this. How long have you been here?”
“Ooh, that’s good and spooky!”
“Yeojin, I swear.”
“Hey, shut up, the thing is moving again!” Hyejoo’s voice made everyone look back at the board. Sure enough, the planchette was moving again, faster this time.
600 years.
“I don’t like that one bit!” Yerim shook her head. “No ghost is that old!”
“You never know,” Sooyoung said, but Haseul shook her head.
“Seriously, I’m not sure we should be-.”
Yeojin interrupted her, not listening. “Ask it another question!”
“Okay. Why are you here?” There was no hesitation this time.
Hungry.
Everyone froze. Slowly, Vivi turned back to look at Haseul. “Uh. That doesn’t seem good.”
“I told you guys this Ouija board wasn’t a good idea!” Jinsoul threw up her free hand in frustration. “We should go, come on!”
Voice tight, Hyejoo called out. “Hey, it’s moving on its own again.”
Devour, devour, devour, 600 years, devour, devoured them, devour you. Hunt.
The moon was directly overhead now, bathing the clearing in pale moonlight as all thirteen of you sat frozen in terror. Everything was silent. Not even wind rustled through the trees. You felt as if you couldn’t breathe, eyes stuck to the board, heart pounding in your chest.
Sooyoung sucked in a deep breath. “I’ve never seen it do that before.”
“Say goodbye!” Jungeun was pale now too, turning to hiss at Sooyoung. You could see her shivering. “Say goodbye now, we need to go!”
“Right!” Sooyoung pulled on the planchette, and then her eyes went wide. “It won’t move.”
“Don’t fuck around,” Hyejoo said, shoving the piece. It moved, finally, flying towards goodbye. As soon as the piece hovered over “goodbye” a gust of wind ripped through the clearing, tearing the board from the hands. Screaming, the girls jumped up, the planchette still clutched in Hyejoo’s hand.
“D-did we close it?” Yeojin asked, looking scared for the first time. As if to answer her, a low, guttural growl echoed through the woods, accompanied by the snapping of branches. You turned to look at Yerim beside you, your mouth dry, body stuck in place.
“Run!” Haseul screamed, just as another growl came from the forest, and finally, your legs moved. You scattered with the other girls, leaving the board there as all thirteen of you tumbled into the woods, moving as fast as your legs could carry you.
-
You weren’t sure when it happened. It was only when you stopped to catch your breath, leaning up against a tree, that you noticed it was only you and Yerim, clutching at your hand. Your eyes widened and you stood up straight, frantically looking around.
“Where did the other girls go?”
“I don’t know.” Yerim was crying, tears screaming down her face as she coughed, gasping through her sobs. “T-they were all right here, and then…. We must have taken a wrong turn or something.”
Terror gripped your chest as you squeezed her hand, shaking from head to toe. The moon was gone and the woods were black, so dark your flashlight didn’t even help. Every tree looked the same, and the two of you weren’t even on a path anymore. For the last few minutes, the two of you had been tripping over bushes and rocks. Your stomach sunk as you had to accept the truth. The two of you were lost in the woods, separated from the rest of the group. You tried to rack your brain for solutions, but you couldn’t think. Your brain felt… fuzzy. Faint.
A growl shook the trees and you heard a shrill scream that sent chills down your back. You didn’t want to think of who that might be, yanking on Yerim’s arm to get her to run again. “Come on, we can’t stay here!” You didn’t know what was out there, in those woods. You only knew one thing: you couldn’t let it catch you.
-
“Vivi!” Haseul stood frozen in place, her flashlight shining up at the trees. She didn’t know when she’d lost the girls, or when she and Vivi had gotten separated from the group. But not even a minute ago, she’d heard a snap and a thump behind her, the light from the other girl’s flashlight going awry. And when she’d turned around…. “Vivi, oh my god!”
The oldest girl’s body hung suspended from the trees, vines wrapped around her neck. Her eyes were wide, body limp, blood dripping down from a mark on her shoulder where something had torn at her clothes. Letting out a scream, Haseul scrambled forward, with every intent to climb the tree and try to get Vivi out, but the crunching of leaves stopped her in her tracks. She wanted to run, wanted to cry, wanted to scream again.
But she couldn’t.
Against her own will, her body turned around. Standing there in the light of her flashlight was a creature she’d never seen. It looked like an animal, horns protruding from its head, but stood on its hind legs, red eyes peering at her. As she stared, unable to move, its red eyes dug into her head and it bared its teeth, slobber dripping from its mouth. It stalked closer, hoofed feet stomping against the ground, and she couldn’t pull herself from its gaze, even as its human-like hand reached up and wrapped around her neck.
Her breath cut off as it lifted her off the ground, long nails digging into the back of her neck. As spots of black clouded her vision, she saw it open its mouth. Then her world went black.
-
“That scream! That was Haseul!” Hyunjin stopped running, despite Heejin and Yeojin pulling at her from either side. Up ahead, Hyejoo and Chaewon stopped as well, gasping for breath. “Was she calling for Vivi?”
“Do you think…?” Yeojin couldn’t even bring herself to finish the sentence, her eyes wide and her hand gripping Hyunjin’s tight enough to make it go numb.
“Should we go after her?” Hyejoo asked, shining her flashlight in the direction of the scream. Chaewon, beside her, let out another sob and crouched down onto the ground.
“We should have never done this! We’re so lost, we’re never going to get out of here!”
“Don’t say that!” Heejin was clearly panicked as she stomped her feet. “There’s no way we can go help her, we’re no match for whatever thing is out there, we’re just people, we can’t-.”
“We have to at least try! We can’t just let our friends die,” Hyunjin snapped, yanking at Heejin’s hand. “What if-.” A growl cut her off, followed by a howl. Wind rushed through the narrow space and she felt goosebumps well up on the back of her neck. All thoughts of saving her friends left her mind. Somehow, she knew she couldn’t do it. “Run,” she said instead, rushing forward, but Yeojin went limp in her hand, and Hyejoo screamed.
Slowly, Hyunjin turned her head. A figure loomed in the dark, holding Yeojin up by the back of her jacket. Her eyes were wide and glazed over, her body limp, and blood was spilling over from her shoulder, seeping through her coat and running down her fingertips. She wanted to run, wanted to rip her fingers away from Yeojin’s limp hand, wanted to scream, but the figure had red eyes that dug into the back of her skull and nailed her to the ground.
Heejin dropped her hand, screaming, and ran into the woods. Well, Hyunjin thought, at least she might escape. Struggling to move, she watched as the figure emerged from the shadows and into the light of Hyejoo’s flashlight. It towered over her, some sort of half-animal and half-human creature, slobber dripping from its face as it’s growl shook the ground she stood on. As the creature dumped Yeojin to the ground, Hyunjin summoned all of her willpower to scoop the girl up into her arms, breaking free from the creatures spell.
Her feet felt sluggish and she felt as if she might faint as the creature roared, shaking her to her bones, but she still turned and ran, carrying Yeojin in her arms. Hyejoo and Chaewon had disappeared, leaving her running in the dark, alone, but she didn’t care. She ran and ran, the creature thundering behind her, until her legs wouldn’t carry her anymore and she collapsed, covering Yeojin’s body with her own in a small clearing where the moon peeked through the trees.
There was still some sort of recognition in Yeojin’s eyes as Hyunjin held her, unable to fight the creature as it dug its teeth into her neck. But it faded with the pale moonlight as Hyunjin’s body slumped into the dirt.
-
“Where are we, Sooyoung?” Jungeun’s voice was strangled as she held a sobbing Jiwoo in her arms, looking over at Sooyoung and Jinsoul, who was grasping the other girl’s arm as she swung her flashlight around.
“I-I don’t know. I thought we were headed for the entrance, but we must have taken a turn somewhere. I don’t recognize any of this.”
Jinsoul had been crying silently while they ran, but now she let out a sob and let her head fall against Sooyoung’s shoulder. “I keep hearing screams….”
“This is all because you insisted on coming out here,” Jungeun said, gritting her teeth, and Sooyoung glared back at her.
“You say like you didn’t totally agree with me! Don’t blame this on me!”
“Take a look at our situation right now, Sooyoung! We’ve been hearing screams for a while now, how many of our friends do you think are dead right now?”
“Don’t!” Jiwoo sobbed louder. “Don’t say that!”
“Let’s just keep walking,” Sooyoung said, clenching her jaw and focusing her flashlight on the trail ahead. “At least we’re on a trail.” She stepped forward and, reluctantly, Jungeun followed behind with Jinsoul, a still-crying Jiwoo in her arms.
They had only taken a few steps when Sooyoung stopped, letting out a strange gurgle. The three other girls ran into her from behind, and Jungeun opened her mouth to snap at her, asking why she stopped, but the words caught in her throat.
There, in the light of Sooyoung’s flashlight, lay three bodies.
Heejin’s eyes were still wide open, her arms and legs sprawled out on the ground. A foot away from her were Chaewon and Hyejoo. Chaewon was also staring up at the sky, tear tracks still running down her face, but her arms were still wrapped around Hyejoo, who lay on top of her, only recognizable by her black hair and jacket. Blood puddled on the ground underneath them, and hoof prints littered the mud on the path.
Jinsoul screamed, then slumped to the ground, fainting at the sight. Quickly, Jungeun hid Jiwoo’s face in her shoulder, not letting her see the scene as she tried to process it, stomach turning at the sight. Sooyoung stood frozen, staring at the bodies with her mouth open, struggling to breathe.
“They’re….”
“Sooyoung! Sooyoung, we have to run, grab Jinsoul and-.”
A roar shook the ground just as something slammed into Sooyoung, sending her flying with a crack. Jungeun watched in horror as Sooyoung fell to the ground with a choked groan, a boulder landing on top of her slender body. And then a creature was standing in front of her and Jungeun shrieked, tumbling backwards at the sight.
“What-.” Jiwoo look up, then froze, unable to even cry as the creature stepped over Jinsoul and snarled, red eyes digging into her own. Jungeun grabbed Jiwoo with every intent to run, but something sharp stabbed into her shoulder and she fell to the ground, paralyzed. She watched as the creature picked Jiwoo up, watched as Jiwoo screamed and kicked her legs, grabbing at its hand on her neck, watched as she struggled. She wanted to get up, wanted to run, wanted to try and fight the beast to help Jiwoo, but she couldn’t do anything but watch, waiting for her own turn as her vision fogged over.
-
Your legs could barely carry you anymore as you ran, lungs burning and heart pounding. You had no idea how long you’d been running, only that you couldn’t stop, no matter how many screams you heard. Your face and throat burned from the tears and your hand was numb from how hard Yerim was gripping it, but you kept running with her beside you, pushing your way through trees and overgrown bushes. The woods only seemed to be getting thicker, harder to walk through, when it happened.
Yerim’s gasped as her foot hit a branch, sending both of you tumbling forward through a cluster of branches and onto… a green field? You blinked up at the moon, gasping for air as you tried to process what was going on. The two of you were sat on a field a few feet away from the entry trail to the woods, overlooking the the city.
“We’re out,” Yerim gasped, “we’re finally out, we got out. Now we have to get help.” She jumped to her feet, pulling you up with her, and you stumbled, trying to catch up as she ran down the hill.
At the bottom of the hill, on the trail back towards the parking lot and the city, there was a figure, and you let out a sigh of relief. “Good, someone is there, we can tell them and then-.” The figure moved so fast, you barely caught it. You stopped in your tracks as Yerim let out a gurgle behind you, your heart stopping. No, it couldn’t be, the two of you had gotten out of the woods, this wasn’t-.
A creature with red eyes loomed in front of you, horns blocking out the moon as it boor its sharp teeth and growled. Then, somehow, it spoke, saying something you couldn’t understand, leaning in close with a deep, gravelly voice as if two rocks were rubbing together in its throat, sending a shiver down your spine. You stepped back only to trip over a limp Yerim, sending you sprawling onto the ground. It loomed over you, drool splattering onto your face as it opened its mouth and spoke again, its red eyes leaving you helpless to escape your fate as it chanted, getting close and closer with every word.
“Devour, devour, devour, devour….”
You arrived at the field set as the meeting point the exact same moment your sister did. Kanna jumped off her horse and the two of you tied the reins to your tachi then secured it deep into the earth.
“You’re certain Sasuke knows how to activate this barrier?”
“I have no doubt. I trust him like I trust you.”
“That’s all I needed to know.”
“Awfully careful when it comes to these boys aren’t we sis?”
“What of it.” You knew she was trying to ruffle your feathers, make the mood more casual before it got potentially deadly.
“Nothing.” A soft smile “let me see your stomach.”
“It’s no big deal” lifting your shirt high enough so Kanna could take a look “You’re right.” Her fist connected with your side, knocking the wind out of you.
“What the hell was that for?” you screeched, doubling over.
“For making me worry. Now, what way do you want to go? East or West?”
You had gone off to the west and were waiting, hoping the sky didn’t open up. You and Kanna had synced watches and had a general idea of when everyone should be arriving, which was anytime now, hopefully. Now you just needed to kill time, hopefully this was all for nothing.
You were squatting low, plucking at the single blades of grass when the air grew thick with the smell of electricity. A portal would open. Damn. That’s bad, very bad. Drawing your blade as space time ripped a hole in the sky you took off into the newly developing fray.
You were swinging like mad...because you were mad. There was a spy, someone was using you to fulfill their own needs and that sat terribly with you, lodging itself deep in your stomach. You didn’t stop, blowing through your opponents one by one as you got closer and closer to the group. The outline of the barrier could be seen peeking over the hillside and your body was buzzing, Kanna was close. Increasing your speed and the strength of your swing you pushed forward.
The two of you made eye contact and after two steps broke into a sprint towards the barrier, where a particularly large creature was trying to chip away at the protective bubble surrounding your friends. There was no hesitation, gripping your hilt you swung forward pushing all of your weight and momentum into the swing meeting with Kanna. Your blades crossed in dramatic fashion gliding effortlessly past the other as you halved the creature. Bursting into a fit of smoke, while always intriguing you didn’t have time to stand around and look. Spinning so you were back to back, you continued on.
The fight only last a few minutes once you joined with Kanna. You knew by the quick glance you had taken of the warlords that you looked as lethal as you felt. There were no words, a silent dance, one you and your sister had memorized to the height of its efficiency.  The last enemy met your sword, disappearing in a violent eruption of smoke. This was a problem, a very big problem.
[Mitsunari]
We rode back to Azuchi in tense silence, it was clear this was a serious situation. They looked ever the leaders they had claimed to be, sitting proudly atop their steeds clad in dark armor. The atmosphere was unsettling, mild uncomfortableness creeping in, their mannerisms so far removed from the daily personality we, moreover I, had gotten to know at the castle. Not that I minded. (YN) lead our caravan back towards Azuchi, while her sister took the rear, sure that with all of the attacks as of late it was mostly precautionary, until Kanna bellowed.
“Your seven!”
In an instant, (YN) pivoted her horse positioning herself directly between an assailant and Nobunaga. Sparks flew from the clash of steel, the blow was powerful enough to knock her back out of her saddle, in the moment it took to reset it’s swing, Kanna rushed the creature knocking it’s head clear off it’s shoulders. I hurried over out of concern and was stopped by a sharp look, and a motion I recognized quite well, though usually it came from Hideyoshi, telling me to pause take stock of the situation. I looked up.
Our company had been surrounded by a handful of hoodlums. When had that happened, looking towards the sky I could make out the faintest of purple vortexes closing. This was an ambush. The twins circled us, tightening our ranks, fighting off what they could until (YN) threw up another barrier and took off running in the direction of a  now opened orange and black portal in the sky. Four steps and she was gone, jumping up dissolving into the sky. As if trading places, Yuuto was dumped out in her stead. Clothes a mess, blood running down his arms and face, panic etched in his features.
Breaking into the bubble he pulled his sister with him.
“We were ambushed…(YN) responded to a mayday call. I don’t-” he swallowed hard “I don’t know if everyone’s going to make it.” He shared a look with his sister before planting himself in the grass and in a motion that looked similar to throwing, he moved a screen into view on the barrier wall.
“It’s a live feed, I use it to monitor all of our officers while they fight. I’m not there but I should be able to tell how it’s going based off of everyone’s vitals.” He explained, finishing by pointing out his Aunt Yui and Aoi, His father Haruto, and (YN) on the different screens, helping us differentiate them from the first through  fourth units. Adjusting the controls on his wrist voices could now be heard crystal clear within the bubble.
The distinct sound of battle echoed off the malleable walls of the barrier, you could hear shouts ringing out from each of the officers, all commands to update positions and re-work the battle formations. I closed my eyes, attempting to envision their positions based on the descriptions alone, trying to calm my mind, wishing I wasn’t just a bystander in all of this. Calculation after calculation to help perceive (YN)’s position, it all seemed alright and they sounded like they had made strides when a sharp cry rang out.
“HARUTO” “DAD” an unknown female and (YN) screamed simultaneously.
There was audible turmoil and his screen flashed, the lines jumping rapidly before it flat-lined and went black. Next to Yukimura, Kanna whimpered as Yuuto gripped the edge of his shirt harder. As his knuckles turned white another shrill cry ripped through the bubble as Aoi’s monitor shuddered and went black. Tears were now visible, welling in Kanna’s eyes, as Yukimura gripped her hard around the waist trying to offer some semblance of comfort. There was a grunt in a familiar voice...and breathing became haggard. My heart rate picked up matching the monitor on (YN). As it seemed to be losing control the familiar orange glow lit up the sky and a several bodies tumbled out of the sky, landing hard in the grass. Shutting with a powerful gust of wind that ravaged the treeline in the immediate area as all the monitors on the screen went black, all but Yui’s and the third and fourth regiments.
[Yukimura]
Kanna grew visibly more distressed by the minute as more and more screen blinked out into oblivion. She jerked in my arms as the bodies tumbled from the sky and a wail ripped through her chest, collapsing against me as everything went black but the screen for Yui. No...that couldn’t be good, I know Yuuto said people wouldn’t make it, it was par for the course when it came to war...but could they have been completely obliterated like that? (YN) had just been standing here minutes ago, participating in one of the most lethal of dances I had ever seen. Would they have succeeded if Kanna had gone or would she have succumbed to the same fate?
“Yuuto…” her voice quivered “someone has to go get them”
He gave a half-hearten nod, but something didn’t feel right. Everyone was on edge, and as he made to break through to collect his Aunt and fellow soldiers, Mitsunari stopped him.
“I wouldn’t.” bewilderment swirled about the enclosed space as he looked right at Kanna, the pain of potential loss clear in his eyes.
“Something isn’t adding up. I ran countless scenarios and only one resulted in the loss of (YN). All of which meant the demise of all others in the area, that includes Yui and your ranking officers.”
“Mitsunari, man, I know it hurts, and you’re scenarios are good in theory but in practice life is way more messy. You have no idea what went wrong up there. We can’t just let them lay half mangled in the field surrounded by enemies.” Masamune made a valid point
“No. he’s right.” red streaks prominent on Kanna’s face. Pain shot through my chest as I looked at her. “Something doesn’t fit. Why would everyone else go black at the same time, and why haven’t they started attacking? Also, (YN)’s barrier is still up. There’s no way that would be possible if she was dead right?” she looked at Yuuto for clarification “Right?”
“She put this up?” His eyes widened “Mitsunari. You may be on to something.”
“I think if we plan to go get them, we should be cautious. Did you ever figure out who the spy was?”
“I had it narrowed down...but all signs are pointing in one direction and that..doesn’t look good.” Gesturing to the members of the third and fourth regimen standing backs towards one another, circling Yui menacingly while keeping an eye on the growing army of QA soldiers.
That’s right, there was a spy wasn’t there. It’s why this entire meeting had happened like this in the first place. Giving Kanna a quick peck on the cheek, tasting the salt from her tears, she leaned into me before stepping forward towards Yuuto.
“I’ve got a plan.”
[YN]
You never got calls to your personal line. Ever. But in the moment the monster had been beheaded you received two, one from your Aunt Yui requesting back up and another from your Aunt Aoi pleading with you to keep you and your sister away. Something was wrong, you knew it was impulsive, but Yui had always been the planner, assuming your aunt’s pride as you mentor was getting in the way you sprinted off to respond to the may-day call. As it stood Yui’s order came first, and she had more authority over you than Aoi as the armies tactician.
The familiar rush of traveling through time hit you and you were spit out to your home on fire, every person embroiled in battle with the Q.A. Oh gods. Mizuko came running up to you, a wild rush of blonde hair and green eyes.
“What are you doing here? Aoi-sama explicitly stated she didn’t want you to come.”
You felt a chill run down your spine as you broke out into a nervous sweat, “Yui-sama called me, her orders for a may-day override Aoi’s”
“What?” her eye’s went as wide as saucers as she parried a blow from an encroaching QA soldier. Lifting her wrist to her mouth she spoke “Aoi-sama, it would appear that Yui is the traitor.”
You blood ran like ice in your veins. There was no way, but logically it made sense, she had known all your plans, every position, exactly how many soldiers you had at your disposal and where they were being sent. The only real question that remained unansered was why? Why had she done it?
“(YN) is here, she got a private mayday from Yui, after your call went out.” a pause “I understand” turning to me as she lowered her arm, eyes burning like the fire raging behind us. “Aoi has given you command of the second regiment as well. Yoshiyuki is headed our way. We randevu with the rest of the team to circle back and hold the line.”
You met up off in the forest just beyond the citadel walls, everyone gathered up. At your disposal you had four archers Hisame and Mari from the first regiment who would pair up with Koharu and Yumi from the second to give ground coverage from different vantage points throughout the citadel. Always making sure Aoi, Haruto, and yourself were in someone's sight. Four tachi, Tsubaki and Shiro from the first and Ohta and Tora from the second would be heading off with the Naginata wielders Hinata and Tatsuya; the first regiment going north and the second going west to hold the line. Mizuko your general and Yoshiyuki the leader of the second division would be coming with you entering through the middle of the fight to subdue Yui and the QA.
--
If you weren’t sure Yui was the traitor you were now. She stood on the crushed monument to the previous clan leaders, shouting orders to the QA, as she rushed forward. In the blink of an eye she had a sword through the stomach of your father. You couldn’t control it, your scream ricocheted off the tattered building in front of you. She smirked, as he fell from her blade with a sickening thud. Aoi looked up, eyes pleading with you as she engaged her own sister. You advanced in a blind white rage the only things holding you to reality was the swift metallic clang of Mizuko’s blade in tandem with your own and Yosiyuki’s revolver firing off at the enemy between deep swings of his uchigatana.
Everything was a cluster of noise and chaos, people were everywhere, fighting, running, hiding, the citadel was aflame, and now both your father and your Aunt Aoi were mortally wounded, lying side by side near the port crystal at your aunt Yui’s feet. You knew, instinctively, your father had passed already, the one sparring thing your traitorous aunt had done was grant him a swift passing, but Aoi lay in the dirt and blood groaning and gasping for air.
“Yoshiyuki, cover Aoi. Mizuko go find Ryoko and bring her here…I’ll take care of Yui.”
“But…”
“That’s an order” and they were off.
There were no words to be had, you collected your thoughts, centering yourself. No battle could be won off adrenaline alone, and you knew that. She smirked as she turned from her sister “I’m so glad you could make it to the party dearest niece. Shall I send you off the same way I did your loving father and teacher?”
Be calm. Stay calm. She was trying to goad you, she had a sharp tongue, and every mock battle with your sister had prepared you for something like this. You ignored her, as you both danced a dangerous dance. Sparks flying where steel met, you had to be guarded, pace this out, otherwise she could, and would take you. You were wearing her down, making headway, or so you thought, as if struck by lightning a searing heat ripped through your left arm. You followed her blade with your eyes noticing that it had pierced clean through your shoulder, she changed her grip and striking true once more pulled up cleaving your arm from its socket. You took two more swings, filled with the rest of your will, landing a glancing blow across her face, nothing deadly, but it would scar, a permanent reminder of what she had done today. The world around you tunneled, you heard a menacing laugh, and several shouts, many of which were your name. Your weight shifted and you fell to the ground, landing hard in the dirt just beyond your already fallen family members.
The ringing was getting louder and the deep black abyss you had been slowly growing comfortable with began to glow white. As it did you felt your sides prickle and you found yourself nauseous as you were rolled over, now looking at Mizuko and Yoshiyuki, no longer able to make out what they were saying. They looked worried. I wished the didn’t, I wanted to tell them that I felt wonderful. That there wasn’t anymore pain, that it was going to be okay. As I felt myself slipping I thought of my brother and sister stuck completely unaware of what had just transpired and I thought of Mitsunari, his sweet smile, his clumsy nature, his warmth - oh how I wanted to feel that warmth. My eyes burned as they closed. I’m sorry. Everyone I’m so sorry.
“Why did you do this to yourself?”
:Hello, this Among Us oneshot is an emotional vent for me. Which means, there will be angst, thoughts of suicide, cutting, attempt of suicide, blood, gore, and death. If these themes trigger or bother you, DO NOT read this. If these themes don’t bother you, you may proceed at your own risk. If you hardcore relate to any of the events in this oneshot, please do not hesitate to seek professional help. Thank you for reading this message.:
[Impostor! Black x White! Reader]
[Summary]
After the death of your closest friend, Lime, you become distant towards everyone on the crew. You behavior in such a time is over looked by your fellow crewmates, them seeing it as very logical to do so when the person you befriended could stab you in the back or be stabbed in the back at any moment. However, not everyone is able to brush off your new behavior so easily.
***
The time read 5:41 am, my eyes staring at the ceiling with frustration. What’s the point anymore? I should just eject myself and be done with all this...after all, the one person who would miss me is gone so there’s no harm in doing it right? Rising from my bed like the living dead, I approach my suit that’s hung on the wall. Should I put it on? I mean, everyone’s asleep right now except for me and possibly the impostor, but that doesn’t concern me right now. I sigh, deciding to stick with the baggy shirt and sleep pants I’m currently wearing since it’ll be over soon.
Walking past admin on my way to cafe the putrid smell of iron brings me to a near gag. What in the-! My thought is cut off by alarm, the gory sight before me bringing me to near tears. There, with blood sprayed around like dried paint, was Orange’s body. Her skull had been crushed in with her torso ripped open. Disgustingly, all her organs have been removed and are nowhere in sight, this includes her lungs and heart which were most likely removed when a blow to her chest caused it to cave in. Just like what happened to the killer’s other victims, their arms and legs have been severed, the bones within the flesh having been broken with inhuman force. It’s just like what happened to Lime! I thought bitterly, shedding silent tears for the one who stood up for me after the last body was reported. I didn’t know Orange too well, hell I don’t know half the people on this ship, but that doesn’t mean my bleeding heart isn’t going to sing the blues about a fellow innocent’s death. Instantly reporting the body, I have to force myself to look away from the dismembered body of the ship’s captain.
To my utter frustration, no one but Black and Blue show up to the meeting, “I’m going to assume to others are too busy sleeping, correct?”
“We tried to wake them up, but they just rolled over and went back to sleep,” Blue sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose while also sporting his sleepwear like me.
“What are you doing up this early, White? You should be sleeping like everyone else,” Black adds, arms folded to rest against the table.
The dark circles under my eyes feel as though they became a hundred times deeper at just the thought of sleeping, but my skin goes cold whenever my slow brain figures out what he’s asking, “I was sleeping, but woke up and got thirsty. So, I was on my way to cafeteria when I smelled blood and found the captain dead in admin.”
It was only a little white lie, but Black didn’t look too pleased as his eyes scan over my slouched form, “You’re lying, what were you really doing?”
A bitter scowl contorts my face, a look of surprise showing on theirs, “I don’t care whether you believe me or not. Good night.”
Storming away, I go back to my room, the sound of my foot falls making my scowl deepen. I should be floating in space right now, not going back to my room. I thought as my door closed behind me, locking into place. How fucking stupid could I be to report Orange’s body? I should have just let it be so I could finish what I was doing. Anger pools in my chest like thick tar, hot and bubbly like an angry volcano. I will end this tonight Taking the knife I found in a vent a few days ago when I tried to get an impostor to kill me, I run the blade across the skin of my arm, leaving deep lashes instead of making small cuts. How fucking idiotic could one person be? Honestly I should have done this sooner! No one will miss me! There’s no point in trying to out who the impostor is on this ship when there’s no future for us out here! Hot tears dripped down my cheeks, all my anger seeping away like the blood pooling around my knees. Why couldn’t it have been me instead? Why did the impostor have to take Lime away from me? Looking down at my lashed up forearms and thighs I begin to tremble. What am I doing, Lime wouldn’t have wanted this! He...he would have wanted me to survive, but...I just want to see him again.. My tears continued to flow, my body flopping onto its side. This is the end isn’t it? I thought as my vision started going spotty. I’m going to die all alone.
Suddenly, the door to my room is busted open, a darkened figure appearing by my side quickly. They looked panicked as they lifted me from the ground and rushed out or my room with me in their arms. I couldn’t see who they were due to my blurry vision, but I could see they were crying. Why are you crying? It it because of me? I’m sorry... My thoughts trail off as I slip into unconsciousness for the last time...
Or at least what I thought would be the last time.
When I eventually woke up I saw Black sitting next to me while I lay in a bed in Medbay. He is holding my hand as if he were to hold it any tighter it would break like fragile glass. Silently, I watch him, feeling the way he strokes his thumb over my knuckles so sweetly. After a minute or two, he draws my hand up to his lips, kissing knuckles like a gentleman.
“Black...” I breathed out to myself, the heavy ache I’ve felt in my chest for the past month disappearing.
His head swiveled quickly towards me, knocking his chair over from standing up so quickly, “White! You’re okay!”
He hovers over me, pulling me into a hug, “I’m so glad you’re alright!”
My eyes widen, “You’re...glad?”
“Yes, of course I am! Why wouldn’t I be?” the look in his eyes are sincere, but his voice seemed to hold an under tone of venom in it.
That’s when I realized it...Black is fully dressed in his space suit. His gloves are damp. Did he recently wash them? I thought-no... “Black...are you the impostor...?”
“What?! What would make you think that?” he asks, almost offended and hurt.
“You’re constantly having to wash your suit...I know people can be clumsy, but no one is so clumsy as to spill gasoline on themselves as often as you do...” I whimper, holding his hand so he can’t run away from me, “Tell me why...tell me why you killed them.”
Black sits in stunned silence, looking from our joined hands to my expression, “I...I had to do it...I had to get rid of them so I could get close to you! I-I didn’t want you to forget me! I had to get close to you so you wouldn’t toss me aside like a bad dream! I-I mean...look how torn up you are over the captain! You only spoke to her a few times! Yet here you are, mourning her as if she were your family!”
At first, I was confused, but then I remembered the others who died before Lime. I had forgotten them like a bitter dream, ignoring they had even existed. My free hand comes to my lips, hot tears sliding down my cheeks at my heartlessness. How could I do that? Am I really that cruel? I really am no better than the impostors...My thoughts are drowned away by my sobs.
“I’m so sorry, Black...I never meant to make you feel that way,” I sob, feeling the pit in my chest return to be worse than before.
“Don’t be sorry! It’s alright because now, you’ll never forget me. You’ll remember me for the rest of your life!” the way he laughs this makes me flinch, his hysteria making me unsettled.
“Black...” I tighten my grip on his hand, “What happened to you? Y...you used to be so sweet and caring! What changed?”
“You chose Lime over me, White. You wanted to be with him instead of me, despite the fact that I was the one who comforted you after the first murder. I was the one who made you feel safe! Why was he so much more qualified to be with you than me? Tell me White!” desperation played in his eyes, the red iris’ that used to love showing nothing but anger.
My already worried expression became one of absolute frustration, “Are you fucking serious? You killed Lime over your jealousy? Black, Lime was in a relationship with Pink! Y’know, the one who died first! I was comforting him after you comforted me! I stuck by him in order to keep him calm! To be his emotional support in this fucked up time of death and you killed him because he ‘stole me away’ from you? News flash: I was never yours in the first place. I could have been yours, if you had grown a pair and actually hung out with me, but all you did was hide and stalk me from the shadows!”
He scowls, his hand returning my tight grip, only to soften at the angry tears that are running down my cheeks, “You’re such a crybaby.”
He hums to me, wiping my tears away with his free hand. I lean away from him, still holding his other hand for dear life. He sighs, noticing my bitter scowl through my h/c hair.
“I know you’re mad at me, and I don’t blame you for feeling that way. Just know, I love you and I don’t want to see you doing this to yourself again. When I found you on the floor in your room I thought I had lost you to the other impostor,” he draws me closer to him, his words melting my anger away.
Seeing no choice but to give in, I lean against shoulder, “Why do you love me?”
“Because you’re perfect,” his response is said in a lovey dovey tone, his strong arms holding me close to him.
“Perfect huh?” I nearly laugh, “I’m far from it...but I’ll let you believe what you want.”
“Does that mean you’re mine?”
“Until I die...” I answer sadly, not having the heart to turn him down when he went through the trouble of saving me, “...I love you...”
I look up to see his expression light up, “I love you more~!”
I smile, fully prepared to fake this love for him to be happy. At least one of is getting a happy ending. Right, Lime?
This is shit and I hate it, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway.
Sex with Me - Taeyong
pairing: lee taeyong x reader
genre: smut, lil fluff
word count: 5,307 words
- admin g
It wasn’t often that you got the NCT members to yourself. They were mostly busy with schedules, and when they had free time, they would spend it resting or visiting family, if given the chance. You didn’t mind their constant work, but you definietly longed to have a good night with your friends. So when you heard from Yuta about them having a couple of free days, you jumped on the opportunity real quick.
“We should go out, I really miss you guys.” You said into your phones’ speaker, hoping Yuta could hear you over all the background noise.
“Yeah, actually we have something planned. We’ll stop by later tonight to pick you up,” He mentioned in a hurry.
“Uh, okay...” You said a bit surprised. You were never really thrown into plans so spontaneously with the boys. Usually there’s a set plan of activities you strive to accomplish, so it was strange to you having to spend a night out at someplace you didn’t know of. “Are you gonna tell me where?” You ask after a few moments of random screams from the other line.
“Huh? Oh no, we won’t,” Yuta replied. “Just wear something... sexy, okay?”
Before you could reply to protest to the idea, the line went dead. You weren’t entirely dreading the thought of a surprise location, but it didn’t give you the thrill seeking momentum it gave your friends. You usually get calls in the middle of the night from Yuta or Ten being outside your apartment door with some food and movies for you to watch, and you slowly grew accustom to their antics. But knowing their personality, you were a little worried about where they planned to take you on their night off, and why you needed something sexy.
Instead of pondering on the couch, you got up and decided to take a warm soothing shower. You finished the shower, gently drying out your hair and wrapping a towel around your body. You stood in front to the foggy mirror to view your self.
“I can be sexy,” You thought aloud. “Right?” You started to look and move your body at the same time. Trying out a few dance moves here and there, trying your best to reach the standards Yuta set for you. “I look ridiculous.” You said before leaving the bathroom.
You checked the time, realizing you had more time to spare, before heading into the kitchen to make a small meal to fill yourself enough for the night. Really, your meal was a very large bowl of cereal, but it was satisfying nonetheless. You sat at the kitchen counter in your towel eating your cereal while scrolling through your Instagram feed.
Time passed quicker than expected when you heard a knock on the door. You walked towards your door, eyes still locked on a meme on your phone, and you opened the door to a very excited Yuta, Ten, and Taeyong. You looked up without second thought before you took a double take at the three boys eyeing your nearly naked body.
“When I said sexy, that is not what I meant,” Yuta joked before you hurried into your bedroom, leaving the door wide open for the boys to let themselves in.
“I’m sorry!” You shout towards them. “I got carried away. Let me get dressed and we can get going.”
“Can I have the rest of your cereal?” Ten shouted back.
This kid was seriously weird. “Uh, yeah? Go for it.”
You shrug off the request and began to frantically search your closet for the sexy outfit Yuta demanded. It didn’t last long since you mostly had casual clothes, and you weren’t exactly the ‘sexy’ type. However, you weren’t entirely out of lucky. You managed to find three skimpy dresses that could fit the occasion. Your decision came down to a matte black strapless dress that hugged your body and expose every curve just right. You squezzed into the dress and ran into the bathroom to put on some basic makeup. You didn’t feel the need to put much effort into it, granted you were also a bit lazy. You left your hair down in its natural state of waves, and slipped some black heels on.
You walked out of your room and into the living room where the three boys made themselves at home. Taeyong was the first to notice your presence. His eyes did a quick search of your body before looking away as a flush red rose to his cheeks. You had to admit, you had a pretty big crush on Tae for a while. Luckily the only person who knew about it was Yuta, but that called for constant teasing and jokes when he was around. You quickly shifted your gaze away from the pink haired boy and onto your best friend.
“Is this sexy enough for you?” You joked, making a horrendous pose.
“Not much different from when we arrived.” Yuta joked, and you slapped his arm before grabbing your bag and heading towards the door.
“All right, you’ve had your fun. Where are we going?” You questioned as the boys rose from their spots on the couch and towards you.
Yuta only laughed as he placed his hand on your lower back to guide you out of your apartment. You locked the door and the three of you were on your way to some discrete location the three idiots refused to tell you. You couldn’t help but whine the entire ride, resulting in an argument between you and Ten about your patience level. But once you arrived at the secret location, you couldn’t help but stand frozen with your mouth wide open.
“A club?!” You shout at Yuta, who couldn’t help but chuckle at your reaction.
You weren’t the clubbing type, just like you weren’t the sexy type. Instead, you were into simple things. Going to coffee shops, seeing movies, going on hikes, reading, anything that was peaceful in a way. But clubs? Let’s say, it wasn’t exactly your scene. With your friends insisting you live a little spontaneously, you closed your mouth, straightened your back, and started for the line outside the enterence.
“I promise, you’re gonna have fun.” Your best friend reassured you, as the four of you made your way into the club.
You made it inside, and found a table take make of use. You sat down, not really wanted to dance with strangers as Ten followed a girl into the middle of the dance floor. You sat with Yuta and Taeyong in quite while slowly tapping your foot to the beat of the deafening music. It wasn’t uncomfortable just sitting there, but the lack of conversation started to get to Yuta. He sighed heavily before getting up and walking away towards the bar.
You and Tae exchanged glances as to Yuta’s gesture, but he only shrugged it off. Only a moment later did Yuta return with a few shots. He set them down in front of your and Taeyong before taking his previous seat. He rose his glass, staring at the both of you before taking in the drink. He swallowed with a hiss, and motioned for the two of you to join him.
“Yuta, you know I don’t–” You started before Yuta quickly put a finger to your mouth.
“Neither of you drink,” He stated sharing a glance with you and Taeyong. “And you both aren’t going to get up and dance on your own. So don’t think of it as alcohol, but more like... a helper.”
“Helper?” Taeyong said with a chuckle. “The only thing it’s going to help me with is a hangover tomorrow morning.”
Yuta opened his mouth to protest, but Taeyong beat him to it by taking the shot without hesitation. Both yours and Yuta’s eyes widened at his impulsive move, until all eyes were on you, waiting for your final decision. You didn’t want to loose your judgement abilities by taking a shot, but you knew that you would just sit at the table while your friends went out to have a good time. On top of that, if you have no inhibitions, maybe you could actually get something started with Taeyong. And if all else fails, you could blame it on the alcohol.
The pros outweighed the cons, as you slowly exhaled and rose the shot glass to your mouth. You look at both of the boys who were sitting on the edge of their seats as you chugged the drink down. The immediate bitter taste caused your face to scrunch up as the stinging taste flowed down your throat. You exhaled in hopes of getting the taste of alcohol out of your mouth, but only looked ridiculous in the process.
Taeyong and Yuta laughed at your reaction to the substance as you shook your head and rose from the table. You made your way to the bar and order a bottle of water to wash the taste out. You turned to your side to see Taeyong join you at the counter. He gave you a small smile before ordering two more shots. You gave him a shocking look at such a request after the both of you had already taken shots. But he only giggled and lowered his head.
“Do you really think one shot is going to be enough for the night?” He asked with a small devilish smirk. You could tell the alcohol has taken over his body. He must have been buzzed, but you must be too.
“You do this often?” You asked curiously, as the bartender placed two more shots in front of the two of you.
Taeyong smirked at you and took the second shot at ease before returning to your question.
“Enough,” He answered as you took your second shot and a few gulps of water to wash the taste out as quickly as you could. “Alright, let’s start having fun.”
You set your shot glass down, and Taeyong was quick to grab your wrist and pull you through bodies of people and onto the dance floor. The two of you found Ten and Yuta hanging on some girls in the middle of the mosh of people. The hip hop beats were catchy and allowed your three friends, who were dancers, to follow the tune very fluidly without trouble. You, on the other hand, on bobbed gently to the music, not putting much movement to your steps.
“C’mon, Y/N!” Ten shouted towards you over the music. “You can dance better than that, right?”
You only chuckled to yourself and attempted to move with a bit more rhythm. It’s not that you were tone-deaf or couldn’t keep to the beat, it just didn’t feel like second nature to you as it did to the boys. You tried to focus more on the beat and following along when Yuta shouted something at Taeyong.
“Wow, Taeyong why don’t you help Y/N out here?” Yuta said pointing towards your hips.
You head and eyes shot up instantly at your best friend trying to play match maker. You knew he made that request in hopes of getting you and Taeyong closer, and with the both of intoxicated, it couldn’t end well. At least, not for you.
Taeyong let out a laugh as he looked over at your dance moves and scanned your body. He signed and licked his lips before reaching for your hips from behind. His hands were calm and gentle as he leaned his mouth down to your ears.
“It’s all in the hips, ya know?” He said over the music. “Don’t think too much about the music, and just start moving.”
His hands remained in their position as he gripped your body and began to slowly move you. You tried to follow along to his movements as he guided your figure. It was a little unsettling to have Taeyong so close to, especially in such a setting, but the alcohol in your system told you otherwise. You could feel your impulses growing stronger than your own conscience, and you decided to follow along with whatever destructive decision your mind wanted to go with.
You lightly press your back against Taeyong’s chest, and your butt followed to his crotch. He, however, didn’t protest or reject you recent movements, and instead went along. His grip on your hips tightened as he began to add pressure onto your ass. You rigid movements so melted into his body as you grew more fluid and in tune with the music.
“Like this?” You asked, turning your head slightly to see his eyes in the corner of yours.
“Yeah,” He breathed. “Just like that.”
You placed your hands right over his and continued your dancing, occasionally grinding your ass into his crotch. The two of you continued your little “dance lesson” unaware of Yuta’s and Ten’s eyes on the two of you. They gave each other a glance before slowly backing away from you two before you could notice. The music transitioned from some house music into Rihanna’s “Sex with Me.”
“Ah, I love this song,” You said, you movements picking up pace and energy.
“Really?” Taeyong asked. “Think of anybody when listening to it?”
“Why do you ask?”
“Cause I’m pretty sure sex with me is amazing.”
You stopped dancing at Tae’s blunt response. You turned your body to face his, and a large grin was plastered across his face. He must really be proud of his sex. You didn’t doubt his claim; he was strong and athletic, he was built by God himself, and he had dancer hips which is almost a necessity for sex. The alcohol in your system didn’t provoke you to get out of the situation. Instead your wrapped your hands around his neck, and pushed your body flush against his. Chest to chest, and crotch to crotch. You kept your eyes on his though, and cocked your head to the side.
“Prove it.” You state, with a small smirk forming on your lips.
The smile on his face only grew at your challenge. He hands caressed your arms before pulling you in, only inches from his face. Taeyong took a glance at your lips, then his eyes flickered back to you. They grew dark with lust, and his smile disappeared. He let out a sigh and grabbed onto one of your wrists. In an instant, he dragged you out the crowd and towards the restroom. You couldn’t believe that two words would set you in such a situation, and with none other than Lee Taeyong. He quickly yanked you into the men’s bathroom, and scanned all the stalls for any unfortunate bystanders.
“All clear?” You ask, leaning against the wall.
He only smirked at your question before trapped your position against the wall, a hand on either side of your head.
“Do you know how long I’ve waited for this?” He asked, leaning into your neck. His breath was warm against your skin, causing you to physically shiver from the near contact. His lips left soft kisses, trailing up your neck. The simple act left you head over heels, anticipating what exactly he had in store. His hands moved from the wall behind you to your hips. He held you firm as his kiss became more urgent and rough. His soft kisses soon turned into nibbles as he made his way to your jaw.
Taeyong pulled away once he reached your cheek, and left a small peck. He kept his face close to yours as he stared at your parted lips. He quickly licked his own, and made a glance up to your eyes. Without a second thought, he crashed his lips onto yours, and rushed his own tongue into your mouth. You didn’t resist, allowing him the space. Your lips moved in sync, and his hands moved up and down your dress, aching to feel every inch and curve you possessed.
His fingers played with the end of your dress, just above your mid thigh, as his kiss slowed into passion rather than pure lust. Taeyong pulled away for a moment to catch his breath, and chuckled to himself as he tugged at the hem of your scandalous outfit.
“We’ll take this off later,” He stated, before quickly shifting your position. His back was now against the wall as you now stood in front of him, somewhat vulnerable. “But for now, you gotta prove to me that you’re worthy of my amazing sex.”
You knew exactly what that meant, and without hesitation you grabbed Taeyong’s arms and dragged the two of you into the handicap stall. You locked the stall door and pushed Tae against the tile wall and began to kiss him feverishly. The kiss itself didn’t last long; you pulled away and began to kiss down his body until you were set on your knees, and your face was right in front of his crotch.
You saw the tent in his pants that couldn’t go unnoticed, and you began to unzip his jeans and pulled them down, along with his boxers, to pool at his ankles. You grabbed his dick in your hands, and his body visibly reacted to the immediate touch. You looked up at Taeyong, who's eyes were closed tight, and his hands were fiddling at his sides, unaware of where to put them. At first glance, you could tell he was in your control. You were going to have fun with this.
You gently kiss his tip, but slyly slipped your tongue through to swipe the slit. Taeyong sharply inhaled as his hands found their way to your hair. You kiss around and on the tip and watched as Taeyong’s precut began to seep. You licked it up before moving towards the base of his cock. You laid your tongue flat against the underside of his length and licked up to the tip. You gave Taeyong a stare as you took his length in.
His eyes opened slightly as he watched your head bob up and down his dick, a small smirk planted across his face. His breath began to hitch when you hallowed your mouth then continued to take him in. His hands in your hair began to gab ahold, and guide your head along his throbbing length.
“Ah, that feels good, Y/N,” Taeyong cooed, stroking your hair with one hand and holding a firm grip with the other. “Just a little faster, I’m almost close.”
His tone was very calm and collected, but his facial expression told another story. You looked up at his eyes, which were shut again, and noticed his nose scrunch up and sweat dripping down the sides of his face. You quickened your pace, and took his full length in a few times, earning some gasps and quiet moans for Tae.
His grip on your hair tightened as he gained control of the situation. You placed your hands the front of his thighs as he moved your head up and down his cock. Taeyong stopped stroking your hair and grabbed the back of your head with his hand. He began to face fuck you, releasing moans and few curse words here and there.
“I-I’m–” He started, but his climax beat him to it. A few final thrusts into your mouth, and Taeyong was spilling. He pulled himself out, and you quickly swallowed the last of him. He looked down at your kneeling body, and reached for your chin, wiping off leftover cum. He smiled down at you, helping you to your feet. He threw his arm around your waist and guided the two of you out of the restroom.
“I think you’ve earned it.” He said, as he dragged the both of you out of the club.
The two of you made your way to the street as Taeyong summoned a cab in your direction. When the car pulled up on the curb, you made you way in and Tae followed behind you. You told the driver your address as Taeyong handed him some cash.
The whole ride was quiet and still. You and Taeyong didn’t do much, except his hand was resting on your exposed thigh. You didn't think much of the gesture until you realized his hand was further up your leg than anticipated. You looked over in his direction, but he didn’t spare you a glance. He didn’t appear anxious to you, but with the placement of his hand, you could tell he was ready.
When the driver arrived at your apartment building, Taeyong took hold of your hand and pulled you out of the cab. You shut the door behind you and went on a quick pace upstairs to your home. You took out your keys and unlocked the door. You tossed your purse and keys onto the counter in the kitchen as Taeyong closed the door.
“Do you want anything to–” You started, but Taeyong had spun you around to face him before you could finish your question.
“Bedroom.” He said in a hushed tone, determined to get one thing done tonight.
You grabbed his hand and lead him to your bedroom at a slowed pace. You weren’t in a hurry, but Taeyong seemed to be. You walked into your bedroom and turned on the bedside lamp; you didn't intend on turning on the lights anyway.
You made your way to Taeyong standing in front of the door and placed you hands on his chest. You slowly started to rub his torso before wrapping your arms around his neck. You pulled your body closer to his, only inches from touching him.
“Why are you in such a rush?” You asked seductively. “When I said I wanted to experience this amazing sex of yours, I meant for it to be long lasting,”
He exhaled and grabbed your hips, pulling you body into his. His lips found yours, and he kissed your much softer and more passionate than your early encounter. He slowed down his movements, but was still searching for some lust. His tongue swiped your bottom lip almost begging to be let in. At that gesture you pulled back and took a few steps away from Taeyong. You turned your body so your back was facing him and you looked over your shoulder at the gorgeous boy.
“A little help?” You cooed.
If it hadn’t been for the alcohol still coursing through your body, you would not have had the confidence to be so... sexy. Taeyong walked towards you, and let his hands adventure your body before unzipping your dress. He tugged on the fabric before it softy fell to the ground, leaving you in your panties and strapless bra.
His hands rested on your shoulder and you shuddered at the cool touch. His hot breath contrasting his cool hands; his lips softly landed at the nap of your neck. His trail of kisses began again as he made his way to the skin just below you ear. Already you back slight arched at the sensational feeling, and your leaned your head into the feeling.
Taeyong’s hands moved from your shoulders down your spine, leave no patch of skin untouched. When he found the top of your underwear band, he guided your body towards the bed. You reached the edge and Taeyong turned your body to face his. He cupped your face and dipped in for another sweet kiss. Only one, however. After the kiss, he laid you across the bed, allowing you to make yourself comfortable, as he rid himself of his shirt and jeans, leaving him only in his boxers.
He was quick to hover over your body, his knee inches from your already soaked core. He rested one hand near your head for support, while the other roamed your body. He reached around you, unclipping you bra and tossing it towards the pile of clothes you two have created. His mouth dove right into the crook of your neck, kissing and sucking at the skin, and leaving a wet trail up towards your breasts.
“Do you know that you have the most beautiful body?” Taeyong asked, searching your eyes for an answer.
“You’re only saying that because you’re drunk.” You argued, not buying his praise.
“I’m serious,” He replied, his tone and gaze awestruck at such a masterpiece: you. “I love how your body looks and works.” His mouth found your left breast while his hand messaged the other. He bit and sucked at your sensitive nipple, filling your body with such an overwhelming feeling. When he felt complete with the one boob, he moved onto the other to give it the same treatment. You involuntarily moan at his tongue swirling your nipple, and leaving small love bites around your breast.
“I love your breast, they’re so beautiful,” He continued. His body wasn’t only complimentary, but also a small ego booster; it gave you more confidence than you could ask for, especially coming from him. “You curves are artwork,” He stated as his hands roamed your sides and hips. “And don’t get me started on your ass.”
You giggled at such a response, but your throbbing core trumped you laying here receiving compliments. You began to squirm, a bit impatient, as Taeyong continued to worship your body to great lengths.
“Tae, I’m thankful for the praise, but my pussy is gonna need some attention, too.” You bluntly said, as your breathing increased it’s rate.
“Now who’s in a hurry?” He joked as he slid down to hover over your soaked panties. “Don’t worry. I’m gonna treat you so well, Y/N.”
You lifted your hips so Taeyong could slid your panties off and toss them to the side. His face lit up at your core, already so wet for him, and practically aching to be touch. He started to kiss your inner thighs, giving equal love to them as he did to your upper half, and not leaving a single spot untouched. He kissed and nibbled your hips as well, practically avoided your pussy altogether.
You started to move impatiently, wanting–needing–to be touched before you exploded. It seemed as though Taeyong read your mind (more like your body language), and let his tongue run across your slit. Your body tensed at the sensation, cause you to slightly arch your back and push your hips towards the hot breath you felt near your core. Taeyong, however, held your hips down in place, and started at his work at an excruciatingly slow pace.
Your moans turned into whines as Taeyong licked and sucked at your clit so softly. He wasn’t rough and fast, but his pacing was causing you to yearn for more. He lifted his face when he felt enough damage was done and whipped your juices away from his chin with the back of his hand. He smirked at you and, without warning, inserted a finger into you.
“Oh my–Taeyong!” You moan, louder than expected.
He began pumping in and out of you, and leaned down to give your clit even more attention. The feeling was intense and hard for you to handle. You grabbed at the sheets on your bed, hoping to grip onto something solid so you could let out your frustration. You right hand found Taeyong’s head, and began to lightly pull at his hair. The motion only urged Taeyong on, as he moaned into your core. The vibrations causing you to respond with more moan and whines.
Taeyong quickened his pacing, adding another finger in. His pumping grew more rough, and his fingers curled inside of you. You arched your back at the breathtaking pleasure Tae was giving you with just his fingers and tongue.
“T-Tae,” You began, but you could feel your climax building.
He took this as a cue to pump faster and hard, shocking you by adding a third finger. To say you were overwhelmed would be an understatement, His fingers and tongue drove you over, as your juices spilled over his fingers and you finished.
You breathed heavily, stunned by such pleasure. Taeyong crawled over your body, his three fingers hovering over your lips. You opened your mouth and sucked your cum from his fingers. Tae bent down to give you a kiss, and pecked your neck before whispering into your ear.
“If I have you trembling over my tongue and fingers, imagine what my dick will do to you?” He questioned, chuckling in your ear. You body was instantly covered in goosebumps as he started to kiss your neck and collarbone, leaving more love bites and wet trails.
You reached under him, and grabbed at his hard cock, and stroked him with light touches. Tae groaned into your crook, grinding his hips into your hands for more friction. You kissed his collarbone, biting and sucking at the skin in hopes of leave a mark of your own. You strokes grew a bit rougher with purpose, and Taeyong’s breath hitched at the sudden change of pace. He pulled away from your neck and grabbed your hand from his very hard-on.
He aligned himself with your entrance, teasing you by rubbing his tip along your slit, causing the both of you to hiss at the feelings. He pushed himself inside of you, and you groaned in return to the feeling of this thick dick pushing past your boundaries. Your lips parted at the sensation, and Taeyong took the opportunity to crash his lips onto yours.
The both of your mouths moved in sync as Tae slowly moved in and out of you. He detached your lips and began to nibble at the sensitive skin below your ears. You moaned and lifted your legs to wrap around his body. His slow thrust gave your sensitive clit an unbelievable feeling that had you begging for more. You hands rested on his shoulders as your heels pressed his lower back.
“More,” You breathed out, hoping for a deeper feeling.
Taeyong obeyed your request, and deepened his movements. As he filled you up, his pacing quickened and you were a moaning mess. His grunts rang in your ear as you verbally expressed your emotions. Calling out his name at loud volumes encouraged Taeyong to go deeper, eventually hitting your g-spot. The sudden sense caused a wave of pleasure to your body, cause you to quickly reach your second climax of the night.
“Keep going, Tae,” You moaned out, continuing to push your heels into his back for a deeper thrust. “Oh, fuck, I’m so close!”
Your noise became too loud for you to bear, so you bit down on Taeyong’s shoulder, in hopes of somewhat muffling the sounds. Tae grunted and groaned at your teeth sinking into his skin, sure to leave tooth marks later. His pace became rapid, overwhelming you to the ultimate max.
You nearly screamed out Tae’s name as you reached your climax for the second time, finishing around his cock. You almost laid limb, until Tae pulled out of you, hastily pumping his cock before finishing across your stomach and chest. He laid face down next to you, and the room was quiet except for the two of you catching your breaths.
After a few minutes, Tae rose from the bed to grab a warm towel to clean up his mess on your body. You made your way over to your closet and tossed Tae one of your pairs of sweatpants that were way too big on you. You grabbed a pair of boxers and a sweatshirt to throw on before climbing back into bed.
You made yourself conformable, and Taeyong swiftly wrapped an arm around your waist, cuddling into your back and resting his head into the crook of your neck.
“Sex with me is amazing, right?” Taeyong asked, breaking to calming silence.
“Yeah, okay,” You joked, laughing at his question. “Sex with you is amazing.”
Video Games > Girlfriend?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Kai/Jongin x Reader
Genre: Angst, Fluff
Word Count: 1213
Requested
You know, I may or may not have based some of this on my ex. Enjoy~
- Admin Kiwi
Kai was paying an awful lot of attention to his video game, but you had a plan to turn that attention towards you once again
You looked over at your boyfriend, draped over the couch lazily, scrolling through his phone. He hadn’t even noticed you coming through the front door, and to say the least, you were unhappy with his lack of interest. Giving up on waiting until he saw you, you dropped your bag on the counter and walked over to his area.
“Hey,” you tried to conceal your annoyance, but it’s not like he’d notice anyways.
“Oh you’re back?” he didn’t even glance up, but rather kept his eyes glued to the screen.
What the hell was he doing that was so damn interesting he couldn’t bother to even look at his girlfriend? Oh. Video games. Of course. Why were you even questioning it? Jongin’s been obsessed with this new game that Baekhyun told him to download (you swore you were going to hunt that lil shit down for introducing this god forsaken game to Jongin). For the past week he barely noticed you, and you always had to contact him first for a few words in reply.
“Yeah. Did you make dinner like I asked you to this morning?” you asked, starving from the long day at work.
“Oh uh, I totally forgot. I can order pizza or something.” he replies nonchalantly, and you sigh wondering where your attentive and caring boyfriend went to, and when he was replaced with this subpar look-alike.
“Forget it. I’ll just go out for dinner with some friends,” you shrugged your bag back onto your shoulder, and make your way out the door again. You were expecting a “alright be safe” or even a simple “bye” from your boyfriend, but all you were met with was silence.
Angrily, you scrolled through your contact information, finding someone you could go eat out with. Scrolling. Scrolling. Bingo.
“Hey Minjun! I haven’t talked to you in so long! I had free time tonight and was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with me? Okay sounds great, see you!” You hung up, bearing the first smile you’ve had all day. Damn, the opportunity to reunite with an old friend and make your boyfriend jealous? Sign me up.
“Minjun!!”
“Y/n!!”
You both embrace in a tight hug, glad to be with each other again. Minjun was one of your closest friends in high school, and you two stayed close up until after college. Your careers’ made it hard to stay close friends, but you two were still in close acquaintance.
“How’s the company going?” you started the small talk as you waited for your food.
“Oh it’s great! I just got a promoted a few weeks ago!” he exclaims, and you give a smile, genuinely happy for his success.
“Are you still dating Jongin?” at the sound of his name, your face darkens, and your smile fades, remembering the situation.
“Yeah, but it’s not going so well. He’s been ignoring me for the past week for a goddamn video game!” you threw your hands up in despair, letting your emotions fly.
“Oh hell no. Give me his number, I have a few words I’d like to tell him.” you let out a small chuckle at Minjun’s seriousness, and all tension was released. It was like the old times. When Minjun would rant about his girl problems to you, and you’d do the same with him.
Before the conversation about Jongin could continue, the food was delivered, and without hesitation, you dove in. In a matter of time, you completely forgot about Jongin’s indifference to you, and you were wrapped up in the fun you had with Minjun. Of course, you had no romantic feelings towards this friend, but other people could perceive it differently. Who in question? Jongin of course. He’d always been skeptical of your friendship with Minjun, and got jealous of how close you were with him.
“Oh god I’m stuffed. We shouldn’t have ordered so much.” you slouched back in the seat, trying not to let your bloated stomach show.
“Then I guess we’ll just have to burn it all off! Arcade?” Minjun asks with a glint in his eye, and you knew a competition was going down.
“That’s so unfair! You cheated.” you pouted, wondering how on earth Minjun beat you 7 times in a row at DDR.
“You have an idol boyfriend for fuck’s sake! Aren’t you supposed to be the one with the advantage?” he retorts, leaving you to roll your eyes. You could never follow your boyfriend’s choreos, no matter how hard he tried to teach you.
“Ahh I’m sorry Minjun! It’s quite late, and I have work tomorrow.” you said apologetically, wishing you could stay longer.
“No worries! Perfectly understandable.” he gives you a bright smile, “here let me escort you home,” and Minjun proceeds to start the engine to his car.
“I’ve had such a great time today, Minjun. It really took my mind off of some things I’ve been having a rough time with. Thank you.” you said as you neared your apartment building.
“Aish if you ever need something contact me. I’m always here for you! It’s been fun today, and have a good night!” he gives you a goodbye hug, and steps back in his car to return home.
“You went out with him?!” you jolt at the Jongin’s booming voice, not expecting him to be here.
“What are you doing down here? I thought you were too busy playing that video game,” you sneered.
“Well I was going down to get the mail but was pleasantly surprised to see the view of my girlfriend spending time with another man!”
“How many times do I have to tell you? Minjun is a friend! F-R-I-E-N-D Jongin! And I’m sorry I want to spend time socializing with people; you barely talk to me anyways!” with that, you storm off, taking the stairs because you didn’t want to awkwardly wait for the elevator with Jongin.
When you got into the apartment, you angrily threw your bag and coat onto a chair, and went straight to bed. You didn’t even bother removing your makeup, which you knew you’d regret later, and just shut your eyes, trying to escape reality. The peace only lasted for so long.
A familiar weight joined you in bed, and wrapped its sturdy arms around your torso, nuzzling its head at the crook of your neck. You tried to squirm out of Jongin’s grasp, but you knew it was no use to go against his strength.
“I’m sorry Y/n. I haven’t been noticing how much I’ve been neglecting you.” with your back still turned to him, you gave no reply, still a bit pissed at his recent behavior.
“I know I should’ve realized sooner, but that damn video game was just so addicting. I should’ve never listened to Baekhyun,” he lets out a deep chuckle before continuing, “Will you forgive me? I’ll make it up to you I promise.”
“How? How will you make it up to me?” you finally answered, curious. “What about this? I’ll decide whether or not I’ll forgive you based on how you try and make it up to me, alright?”
“Hmm for starters, let’s try homemade breakfast made by your very own boyfriend?” Jongin suggests, making you swoon.
“Well that’s a very promising start”
Hi! Could I request a nsfw scenario where Bakugou and his gf fight and Bakugou says something very mean to her and she storms out, but later she goes to her dorm and they make up? Ohh!! And BTW! I'm so happy that I found your blog, I love it so much! You're so good!
Admin Speaks: Glad you found me too! Always happy to have new kids to care about followers!
Sitting in his dorm room you could feel the tension. He had something to say, that was clear enough by the way he kept glaring at you and growling incoherent words under his breath. You could feel his eyes burning into the back of your uniform as you tried to focus on your schoolwork and couldn’t take it any more. “Bakugou, do you have something you want to say?” You turn towards him and he growls out a no before turning back to his schoolwork. Sighing, you turn back around to continue working.
The awkward silence filling the room was unnatural. Usually he would be boasting about how great he is and how he will become number one hero, but today it was silent. “Bakugou, I want to know what your thinking.” you state and turn back towards him again. “Fuck off.” he flicked an eraser at you before turning around again. You huffed and activated your quirk, slowly pulling his chair towards where you were sitting on the bed. “For fucks sake (Y/n) stop using your shitty quirk and get your school shit done!” he raged and stood up from the chair, tipping it backwards as it fell to the floor. “Shitty quirk?” you whispered to yourself, hurt from his choice of words. “Yes! That shitty useless quirk on yours! All you can do is pull and push objects to you! Do you know how fucking lame that is?! Shitty Deku’s mom has the same fucking quirk! I don’t even know how you think you’ll become a hero with that stupid ass quirk!” he seethed at you and watched your face as your eyes slowly began to water. You bit your bottom lip, trying to compose yourself and failing. You stood up and wiped your eyes, “Well at least I don’t destroy everything I touch.” you shot back at him before walking out of his dorm room.
You couldn’t be here any longer. Not in his dorm, not in your dorm, you had to get out. You wandered out of the dorm building and started walking around campus, tears still leaking down your face, trying to wipe them away as they trailed downwards to the ground. “Stupid Bakugou. H-He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. My quirk isn’t useless. The more I use it the heavier the objects I can bring or push away. Just because it isn’t flashy or obnoxious doesn’t mean its bad.” you slid down the side of the building and curled up with your knees to your chest. “H-He didn’t mean it.” you curled into yourself tighter, gripping your legs with your hands rather harshly and nearly tearing your socks. “S-Sometimes he says stupid things. He n-never means them.” you hiccuped out and gave up trying to wipe away your tears.
You pushed yourself up off of the ground, still leaning against the building behind you. You stayed slouched against it, trying to control your breathing until you sounded almost okay. You nodded a little to yourself and pushed off the wall, walking quickly across the grounds and back into the dormitory. You avoided all invites to join others, politely declining as you walked to get to the elevator. You hit the button to take you up to your dorm, hearing the ding as the doors opened. You stepped inside when you heard your name being called. You turned to the voice and hit the button to close the door, hoping it would close before he reached you. “I’ve been looking for you! At least fucking talk to me! I didn’t-” the doors closed and you were on the way to your dorm.
“DAMN IT!”  Bakugou punched the door of the elevator. He shouldn’t have insulted you. He should have run faster to get to you. You had been crying, he could tell. You always wore a pleasant smile and a calm tone of voice but if anyone actually looked closely at you anyone could tell your eyes were puffy from crying. He had fucked up. He knew he had. He needed to talk to you. But you had made is pretty clear you didn’t want to talk right now. He hit his head slightly on the elevator door before hitting the button. The door opened and his fingers hovered over your floor number. He sucked in a breath and hit his floor before he did something else stupid
You had collapsed onto your bed, not crying anymore, when you got to your dorm. You blankly stared at the ceiling, wondering if you could pull it closer to you or not. You shook the idea from your head, knowing that the room above you would fall through if you tried that. You rolled onto your side and saw a picture on your desk. You were smiling in the photo and Bakugou had an arrogant smirk that only he could pull off. You were smiling at the camera, but his eyes were on you. His arm slung around your shoulder, pulling you closer to him in a comforting embrace. You gulped, willing your tears away as you used you quirk to tip it down facing the desk and out of your line of sight.
You buried yourself in your blankets, deciding the best way to get rid of the empty feeling in the pit of your stomach was to sleep. Then you heard a loud bang on your door. “(Y/n) open this fucking door!” You let out a whine, “No.” “(Y/n) if you don’t open it I’m breaking the damn door down myself.” “Go ahead.” you called weakly to him. It wasn’t long until you heard a forced ticking and the door flew open. “You need a new lock.” he grumbled and closed the door behind him. “I don’t want to talk to you.” you whispered under your blankets, still not looking at him. “Then don’t talk and just listen.” you felt the mattress dip down as he sat down on the edge of it. “Look, I said some shitty things to you earlier. And I didn’t fucking mean any of it.” He turned his head to look at you to see if you had moved from your blanket cocoon. “I just got worried today. You’re quirk is getting stronger. Hell! I remember when we were kids and you could barely pull a pencil to you and now you’re moving slabs of fucking concrete! You’re quirk isn’t useless I’m just…..scared. Scared you’ll get hurt one day and I won’t be able to do a fucking thing about it.” He checked again, the cocoon still unmoving. He furrowed his brows and reached out, pulling the cocoon down and grabbing your cheeks before you could take cover again, “I really fucking love you (Y/n). I didn’t mean what I said earlier! Now can you please either tell me to get the fuck out or let me stay?!” he stared intensely into your eyes, waiting for you to eject him out of your room. “Even if I threw you out, my lock is broken.” you smile weakly and pull him towards you with your quirk
He had never wrapped you in a hug so quickly. “Let me stay here tonight… Please.” he grumbled into your hair and you nodded slightly, wanting to accept his full apology but still slightly hurt. “I fucking love you (Y/n). I’m so fucking stupid to say those awful things to you. Next time just fucking punch me. I was… Afraid…. When I couldn’t find you. I don’t want you to leave me.” He hadn’t let go of you and grumbled all of this into your skin, pulling your body closer to his and pressing kisses to it every now and then. “I’m so fucking sorry.” he squeezed you one last time and you nodded once, “I forgive you Bakugou.” you pulled back a little to see his face and kissed him. His lips lingering on yours as he poured his apology into you, no words were needed. Silence took over, a comfortable one. The kind of silence that two hearts have a conversation in, no words needed.
He laid on top of you for a long while, nuzzling and kissing your neck. You let him get his feelings all out before he closed up again. His lips pressed down your neck until he reached your uniform blazer, “Can I take this fucking thing off?” he growled at the fabric, wanting to rip it off but knowing he was on thin ice right now. When you nodded he unbuttoned it and threw it from your body, starting to unbutton your shirt and working on removing his blazer and shirt as well. You reached up to try and help him but hie grabbed your hand tightly, kissed it, and put it back down onto the bed. “Don’t move alright....I want to... make you understand me.....Alright?” he continued unbuttoning himself as he finished yours. You nodded and laid under him, watching his eyes scan your body and watching the tent in his pants getting bigger.
“Tell me to stop now if you don’t want this.” he grumbled out and waited for you to look back up at him, quietly begging for him to take you. His smirk was back as he reached down to rub your clit with his fingers over your panties, “Of course you want this, otherwise you wouldn’t be this wet.” you slid your panties down your legs and dove between them, licking your clit and plunging his tongue into you. You let out a quiet moan and he smirked against you. He continued licking you until he couldn’t stand it. Your thighs around his head, your dripping sex exposed to him, the smell of your arousal filling the air around him. He fucking needed you.He pulled away from you and shoved a finger into you, searching around your room for any sign of condoms. “I know I left some in here.” he grumbled and you whined, pointing to a small silver box up high on your bookshelf. “Hm, tricky.” he said and he reached up and over and took one from the box, “You ready princess?” he asked as he pulled down his boxer and pants, causing his member to spring free and stand tall. He smirked down at you and flipped you over, making you shove your ass in the air as he rubbed small circles with his fingers onto your soft skin. He smirked as he tapped a finger against one cheek and set off a small crackling explosion. You whined as arched, showing him your dripping hole and he growled, leaning in to suck your clit before the rolled on the condom. He groaned into you and you moaned, waiting for him to fill you.
“I’m not going easy on you babe. Not tonight.” he growled and thrust himself completely into you, making you let out a small scream as he rammed himself into you without warning. “I want you hard and fast, right now. So I’m not letting up.” he groaned and ground his hips into yours. He reached around you to play with your nipples and pinch at the sensitive skin, watching goosebumps arise on your skin as you moaned and arched into his hands and dick. His thrusts getting sloppy and fast as he neared his climax, “H-Holy fuck (Y/n).” he growled and you moaned his name. “Say my name babe.” he panted as he thrusts hit deep inside of you making you moan his name louder, “Come on babe I know you can be louder than that.” he smiled as you tipped over the edge and came, screaming his name. He felt you tighten around him, his limit being reached as he arched and came into the condom, tipping his head back with a loud groan. He stayed inside of you as he caught his breath, not moving from his arched position and slowing pulling out of you.
He pulled out of you completely and went to throw away the condom in the trash bin. “(Y/n)...” he spoke quietly, surprising you.” “Yes Kastu?” you tilt your head as he comes back to bed, laying down next to you and bringing you into his chest. “I love you....” he grumbled and buried his face into your shoulders before you could see his blush. You smiled and brought one of his hands up to kiss it, “I love you too.” As the two of you laid there he kept you cuddled into his chest, falling in and out of sleep Bakugou decided to stop fighting the urge and go to bed, placing one last kiss on you head. He had finally nuzzled in and gotten comfortable when he heard the door creak, “What the fuck?” he grumbled and picked up his head to find Mina and Denki at the door. They both blushed brightly before stuttering they only wanted to know if you wanted to play Rock Band before booking it down the hallway. He growled after them and then turned back to you, pulling you further into his embrace and falling asleep with you pressed to him.
6/5/2017 - 10/3/2017: QuixolMC Changelog #19
Autumn is here, everyone! Looks like it’s time for another long-due changelog post. Quixol has been moving along at its own pace, and we hope you've all been holding up alright. To those of you that are in school again, we wish you good luck in your studies- plenty of the staff is taking classes again, now, and we'd just like to remind you that it's all worth it. The world is a scary place right now, but we hope you folks find solace in Quixol. As for QuixolMC itself, the summer was a time of much leisure- only a few smaller changes here or there to speak of, but a lot of work was happening behind the scenes. All that culminated last weekend with the update to 1.12.2 Public Beta, and the release of the brand-new party area, the Grove. There's a fair amount to get into, and it's possible we missed a few things, so we hope you understand. Also: we normally post these changelogs on the first monday of the month, but this time around we missed our window yesterday, so now it's going up on a tuesday. Sorry about that! last changelog post (#18)
about changelogs
That's quite a lot! Some of this stuff is rather minor, while others change the whole game up quite a bit. There's probably a few changes that got lost in the haste to update the server, and if there's anything you notice that's different from before, feel free to ask us about it. Some important information about this update to minecraft: MAKE SURE YOUR RESOURCE PACKS ARE UPDATED(!!!). If you are using an outdated resource pack in 1.12+, the new recipe book icon will be completely invisible to you, and many players end up not realizing it's there at all due to this.
On the topic of the recipe book, we'd also like to mention that, yes, QuixolMC's custom crafting recipes still work- HOWEVER, they are not accessible from the recipe book, you must still put them in the crafting bench manually. Sadly, this seems to be a minecraft limitation. The /recipe command is also disabled, due to a bug. There's not a lot we can do about this, so for the time being feel free to keep an eye on this page that lists the server's custom crafting recipes. If we ever add any more, we'll try to update this page (if we remember). 2017 has been a wild ride, and all we can really offer to you is a break from it all... we sincerely hope you guys have been safe out there. Thanks for reading, <3 Quixol Staff
Proposed Timeline for Amegakure
Boring Admin Note: I’m basically making this post for my own usage, since I have an Amegakure OC and am constantly forgetting the timeline that I made in order to work out her backstory. That said, I also invite other people to use my timeline as a reference (and I’ll post my justifications as to why I place certain events where I do for those who feel iffy about blindly following numbers!) or to point out any mistakes I might have made along the way (which, let’s face it, is probably bound to happen thanks to how tangled up the Naruto timeline is).
I also might neaten this and fix some vague details later on, but for now I just wanted to post it
Review of Known Facts: Alright, so as messy as the Naruto timeline is, there are a few things that are stated about Amegakure that we can likely assume are facts. In Hyō no Sho (Which was published as Naruto The Official Fanbook here in America) page 17 states that Amegakure is a “Secluded village known for creating unusual jutsu. This village pushes their shinobi to the limits of their abilities, creating many unique jutsu.Their assassination jutsu are in great demand by other countries. Many shinobi skilled in genjutsu illusions live here.” [This same book also states that Konohagakure was “founded about 60 years ago” on the very next page, however this passage also implies Hashirama alone founded Konoha and I am fairly certain that “60″ being an accurate number is contraindicated later on and not very well supported by the current fandom, but it is still a number to keep in mind with all of this.]. As another little well-known statement about Amegakure, Kabuto implies that Amegakure shinobi have something of a reputation for having short fuses (in chapter 39).
Other things that we know for sure include Amegakure’s location between Iwagakure, Sunagakure, and Konohagakure- Something that has historically turned the unnamed country that it resides in into a constant war-zone. We know from Konan/Yahiko/Nagato’s backstories that the Second Shinobi World War left behind orphaned children and made growing up in that country rather difficult and dangerous. [I am also fairly confident in the Second Shinobi World War being a large part of the reason why Hanzō adopted such an isolationist policy after its conclusion, possibly furthering the proof that this war was particularly harsh on those associated with Amegakure.] Speaking of Hanzō, we also know that he was the leader of Amegakure up until he was overthrown by Pein (and is the only other Amegakure leader mentioned aside from Konan). From Nagato’s speech towards Naruto, we can infer that Yahiko (and effectively, the first Akatsuki [Which, yes, would have had at least some modest fame in Amegakure whilst active- At least enough for the village leader to hear about it and grow worried]) died during a time of war (and common headcanon places it as the Third Shinobi World War). Although the timeline blurs a lot around here, we’re told that a civil war broke out at some point after Yahiko’s death and before Hanzō‘s and that ultimately anyone who opposed Pein or was connected to Hanzō died as a result (Or, at the very least, was forced outside of Amegakure- Chapter 369 makes mention of how those supporting the older ideals had still been trying to infiltrate until recently, but does also confirm that everyone close to Hanzō was hunted down and killed.). After Hanzō’s defeat, those remaining in Ame started to view Pein like a god (despite Pein never making public appearances, and only rumors standing to give his name any sort of image) and Konan as his angel. Those outside of Amegakure never came to know of Hanzō’s defeat until Jiraiya discovered it whilst infiltrating. At some point Nagato, under the Pein alias, reforms the Akatsuki and things spiral into what we know of the series- But the other relevant events to Amegakure include Nagato’s death in Konohagakure, Konan’s death not long after at the hands of Obito, and then a snippet I have seen stating that, in the Shikamaru Hiden, Amegakure is invited to join the Shinobi Union.
Okay, well that took forever.
To be honest the rest of the details in this aren’t going to be much easier to read or get through, if anything I’ll just delve into a deeper mess- But I suppose I may as well start off by boring you with some basic math. Because Naruto is what a majority of the story and events revolve around, for the sake of this timeline, the year that Naruto was born is going to be Year 0.
Figuring out the start of Amegakure is something I have yet to find any good markers for... I haven’t really been able to find any evidence to support that Amegakure had a formal mention in the First Shinobi World War? [If you guys know of anything, please let me know!] The first mentions I can find of Amegakure’s existence are tied to the Second Shinobi World War- With the only event that possibly pre-dates it being the Mifune and Hanzō fight. [ I am unsure when that particular conflict takes place. But I suppose, since Hanzō wasn’t given an official age, we can at least grab Mifune’s ‘65′ (which comes from the fourth databook, when Naruto is 17- meaning at some point 48 years (and given that Mifune isn’t exactly a baby in this fight, likely somewhere closer to the 30 year range) before Naruto’s birth [as I heavily doubt it could have been after that point]  Hanzō and Mifune got into a fight).
So, since I am at a loss for anything prior to it, the Second Shinobi World War is going to be my first timeline bookmark. We know that this is the war in which Hanzō fights Tsunade/Orochimaru/Jiraiya and names them the Sannin.We also know Nagato/Konan/Yahiko become orphans during this war and are taught by Jiraiya. Non-related key events include: Dan’s death and Sasori’s parents dying. Why is any of that relevant? Well... Kishimoto has a habit to make all his characters who are connected to one another the same age- even in cases where it doesn’t seem logical (examples: Naruto ending up as one of the youngest in his year despite being stated early-on to have been held back multiple times; All of the major Konoha Jonin being the same age; All teammates having the same ages despite having various graduation ages (like Kakashi was 5 and Obito was 9, but they’re on the same team and were confirmed to be the same age and just- Oh boy...)). Basically, as flawed as this makes other points you can end up basically assuming Nagato/Konan/Yahiko/Sasori were all the same age and Orochimaru/Tsunade/Jiraiya/Dan were as well. Sasori/Nagato/Konan and Orochimaru/Tsunade/Jiraiya are all confirmed for that to boot.
Nagato/Konan/Sasori have a confirmed age difference with Naruto of 19 years (Using ages given in the fourth and third databooks)- and were likely at least 5 when their respective parents died (though I have no bookmark for giving that number any solidarity, I doubt the Ame orphans could have survived at all if they were much younger than that) giving us a tentative bookmark of this war still being active 14 years before Naruto’s birth [This is also the time period where it is most likely for the Hanzō/Sanin fight and Jiraiya finding the Ame Orphans and taking them under his wing]. Assuming (without direct proof) that Tsunade and Dan were the same age, we can use Tsunade’s age (a 38 year difference from Naruto) to make Dan’s age at death potentially relevant. Dan died at the age of 27, so assuming Tsunade was also 27 at this time, it gives us the bookmark age of 11 years before Naruto’s birth. As this event makes her hemophobic, and we see that her hemophobia was rather extreme in part 1, it’s also likely that this bookmark is more towards the end of the war. Unfortunately, that is the best I am truly able to piece this timeline together?
However markers like circa ‘14 years before Naruto the Sanin/Hanzō fight happened and the war was still ongoing 3 years later doesn’t help much as far as concrete time periods for war go. So this is even more of a tangent than before, I’m afraid (and feel free to skip it). The First Shinobi World war has key events such as Hashirama giving the villages their tailed beasts, and Tobirama dying and appointing Hiruzen as the next Hokage. Hiruzen has an age gap with Naruto of 56 years. So- Let’s hope Hiruzen was at least an adult when that happened. Going on the low end of 18 at the time of appointment, that’d mark that as 38 years before Naruto’s birth. Since there aren’t too many concrete details on this war, I’m also going to hope that it’s a marker towards the end of the war... Kai no Sho evidently has information about how the war ended but I can’t read Japanese and it was not released in any other language. But, to play it as safely as I can, Let’s just broadly assume this war ended 36 years before Naruto was born. I can’t find the source, but I see it repeated so often that it is at least fandom canon that there are 20 years between SWW1 and SWW2, meaning the second shinobi world war would have started circa 16 years before Naruto’s birth. (which works just fine with our bookmarks of 14BNB and 11BNB).
So with that out of the way- We move on to the fun world of the third shinobi world war (since I am excluding the first’s timeline from this due to a lack of relevance to this particular village? Though I do find it a fun headcanon that Amegakure was made up of refugees from the first war now ;>w>). The third shinobi world war is kinda the “main” war in Naruto’s history. It’s where Obito and Rin died, the first Akatsuki was active, Minato got a reputation great enough to be appointed Hokage at its conclusion, and a lot of other things I don’t want to think too much about because it is 4 AM right now. So I have a good marker for the end of this war (which I’ll explain in the paragraph below this one) but as for the start... I don’t? Minato was extremely active in this war and is 24 years older than Naruto- But perhaps Kakashi/Rin/Obito will shed more light onto this war? Kakashi/Obito have a 14 year age gap with Naruto and this particular war was said to have involved kids straight out of the academy (shame those graduation ages mean nothing OTL). Using Obito’s “death” as a bookmark (as we are told he was 13 at the time) we have that event placed as 1 year before Naruto’s birth and- Oh dear... Let me jump ahead to that thing I said about the war’s conclusion...
To figure out when the third shinobi war ended, my main go-to is actually Itachi. Itachi is stated to have seen the war at the age of four (which is actually the last bookmark for the war that I am aware of). Given that Sasuke and Naruto are the same age, and there is a 5 year age gap between Sasuke and Itachi, the third shinobi world war (at the earliest) ended 1 year before Naruto was born (and given that Minato isn’t installed as the Fourth Hokage until after this war [as far as I have been able to find] that marker is off by a few months at the most as Minato was Hokage when Naruto was born.
Which now has me squinting at that Rin event... Since if Obito’s “death” happened around this time frame then what happened with Rin is probably at the very end of the war. So the only other bookmark I can think of that has numbers is Yahiko’s death? He died at 15 and with the assumed 19 year age difference we get that event occurring 4 years before Naruto’s birth.Which is, thus far, the furthest back I can find a bookmark for.
But it’s getting super late now and I want to recap the important details real quick (and convert them into start of series terms) so that this is actually vaguely useful?
* There is no mention of Amegakure before the Second Shinobi World War
* Hanzō is the only leader mentioned in a Historical sense, and was possibly the founder of Amegakure (I am also having fun with the headcanon that Amegakure is largely comprised of refugees from the First Shinobi World War and was created in its aftermath- but that is definitely not stated anywhere or anything more solid than the sleepy rambles of a girl up way too late).I would actually genuinely love to hear what anyone has to say on the subject? Particularly if they have an OC from this time period?
* 28 years before the series starts - The Second Shinobi World War starts
* Circa 26 years before the series starts - Jiraiya/Tsunade/Orochimaru fight Hanzō and are named the legendary Sanin; Jiraiya finds the orphaned Yahiko/Nagato/Konan and takes them under his wing.
* Circa 23-22 years before the series starts - The Second Shinobi World War ends.
* Circa 16 years before the series starts (though very possibly a bit before?) - The Third Shinobi World War begins. (This is the specific marker for Yahiko’s death, however)
* Circa 13 years (on the lower end) before the series starts - The Third Shinobi World War Ends
I need to make an Akatsuki-Specific timeline in addition to this one for my OC, so that’s where I’ll leave things for now? The events after the war have a lot to do with the Akatsuki and Pein in specific so...
I also don’t think I’ll tag this? I’ll tag a more finished and put-together writing than this.
Hello. May I pls request the RFA's reaction to an extremely creative and handy MC? (Like she uses pens for chopsticks COS COLLEGE LIFE or creates customized notebooks)
This was a cute ask! Thank you anon~
I used situations where MC does different life hack kinda things? I hope you don’t mind!
Yoosung
Yoosung usually insists that he cook dinner for you, considering that he actually got pretty good at cooking over the years.
But today… he was pooped after a long day of sick puppies
“MC~, honey, I’m so tired. How about when I get off I pick up pizza?”
“Are you sure? I can just cook and dinner can be ready by the time you get off”
“No, it’s fine really. It’s been so long since I’ve had pizza anyways. I use to eat it all the time in my college days, but I’ve grown since then. Haven’t I, honey? Do you think I’ve become more manly?”
“Of course, Yoosung. You’re the man of my dreams… And pepperoni is the pizza of my dreams. So don’t be too long!”
He laughed on the other end of the phone. “Alright, I’ll be home as soon as I can”
Once Yoosung got home, he had the pizza but.. It was cold -_-
“I’ll warm it up for you, honey! I’m sorry it’s just the pizzeria is so far away. I guess by the time I picked it up and drove home it got cold”.
Next time Yoosung called exhausted from work you insisted that time you get the pizza.
It took quite a bit of convincing but he finally agreed.
He got home before you and you showed up a little after.
“Honey! I’m so sorry you had to go all the way across town to get the pizza! Next time, I’ll fight through my tiredness and just cook for you, I promise!”
He took the boxes out of your hand.
“Woah, these are still warm. Did you speed getting here?”
You opened the box and grabbed a piece, cheese strings hanging down.
“Mmm~ I just turned the seat warmers on to keep the pizza warm”.
Mind blown
His brain exploded
Bye bye Yoosung
“Honey! You’re brilliant!”
“How’d I ever get so lucky to end up with a creative, smart, and amazing lady like you”
He praised you with a mouthful of pizza.
Which made it all the more cuter
ZEN
You walked into the kitchen to find Zen Chugging a water bottle.
There were two other ones already empty on the counter.
He had no shame standing there shirtless and sweaty.
His work out pants hanging low on his waist, revealing his defined V-lines.
You’re gawking was cut short as Zen slammed down the third bottle.
“Jagiya, hello~”
“What are you doing, Zen?”
“Oh this?” He picked up the bottle again.
“I gotta stay hydrated, babe. I started a new intense workout routine, so I gotta make sure I drink lots of water”
“So you just down three bottles at once?”
“Yeah? Why not?”
“Well” You reached in the cabinet and grabbed a reusable water bottle, then opened a drawer and pulled out a permanent marker.
“Instead of drinking a big portion at once,” you began to mark times on the water bottle, “you can use this to make sure you drink 8 cups by the end of the day”
Zen grabbed the bottle and looked at it confused.
“So you fill the bottle up when you wake up, and then throughout the day, you make sure you drink that amount of water marked at the time it shows.”
“So by 12 in the afternoon, you need to have half the bottle done, then at 3 you should have the bottle finished and refill it, and so forth.”
Zen pulled you in a tight hug.
“Zen, you’re sweaty!”
“Oh but you’re intelligent and creative mind is so sexy, Jagiya~”
“I just wanna kiss it!”
And you were smothered in kisses after that
And the rest of your night consisted in you convincing him to shower before he showed any physical affection.
You may or may not have joined him
Baehee
The cafe hasn’t been getting many customers lately.
So you both decided that maybe adding something new to the menu will reel them in.
You both wanted something rare, something you wouldn’t find at just any cafe.
You came up with the idea of cookie dough cupcakes.
You had just finished your first batch and they looked delicious.
“Alright, first batch done and ready to be tasted. Are you ready, MC?”
Jaehee looked nervous as she put down the two cupcakes for you both.
You admired the amount of care and effort she put into the cafe. You could really tell that she loved this.
And you loved it too.
You were both sitting at the counter, a cupcake in front of you.
She was just about to take a bite when she stopped to watch you as you completely cut the cupcake in half horizontally.
You then proceeded to put the lower half of the cupcake on top of the icing half, making a sort of cupcake sandwich?
You then proceeded to take a bite of the cookie dough cupcake sandwich and she watched you with curiosity.
She gulped at the site of you gleaming with a mouth full of cupcake and some icing on the corner of your lips.
“It’s good, but maybe a little less sugar next time. It’s already sweet enough with the cookie dough in it”
You noticed Jaehee was looking at you like she discovered a new species.
“You don’t think so? Do you like it?”
“Why did you… cut it and..”
“What, this?” You picked up your cupcake.
“It just makes it easier to eat, and less messy”
You watched her as she then made her cupcake like yours and took a bite.
She blinked rapidly and chewed slowly.
“You’re right. A little less sugar”
You grabbed your napkin and wiped the icing at the corner of her lip.
She blushed deeply
Ooooh Beahee is so pretty and cute with her hair tucked behind her ear and pink tinted cheeks >.
“I’m so lucky to have such a creative partner like you”
“I lack creativity, I stick to logic, so I strongly believe that I wouldn’t have been able to run  this cafe and make it as successful as it is without you”.
“I’m thankful that you asked me to be your partner, Jaehee. This is something I would’ve never seen myself doing, but I enjoy this so much!”
Cute girlfriend bestfriend hug!
Jumin
Jumin has been so busy lately
His father forced a project on him that took up a lot of his time
You two haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together, so Jumin said that tonight he wanted to have an elegant evening of dinner with you
A maid helped you set up the table and a top notch chef came to cook for you both so that when Jumin got home everything would be ready.
You wore a fitting red dress and black heels
You’re hair loosely curled
As you were patiently sitting at the table, sipping wine, you heard the door click.
You saw the black tuff of Jumin’s hair and you stood up to greet him, taking off his jacket and planting a kiss on his lips.
“Welcome home, love”
“I came back as early as I could. I was so eager to see my wife. I missed you.”
You both sat at the dining room table, near the window that had a view of the whole city before you.
“MC, would you like more wine?”
You smiled and handed him your glass, “Yes, please”
He grabbed a new bottle, insisting that night that you let him bring out his most expensive wine.
You watched as he struggled to get the wine bottle open.
He attempted over and over again, slowly getting more and more frustrated.
“I can’t remember where I placed the corkscrew. How irritating. I’ll call a guard up here”
“No, Jumin. Let me.. Please”
He could never say no when you said please like that. You’re eyes all big and lips so.. He couldn’t handle it
He handed the bottle to you and watched as you stood up and and went  to a drawer in the kitchen
Curiosity sparked in him as you pulled out a nail and hammer
“Please be careful, MC”
You hammered the nail half way into the cork and Jumin stood immediately, ready to aid you if anything happened
“MC, let me call a guard to get it, please”
“I have this under control, Jumin. After living by yourself for a few years with no guards or maids or chefs to assist you when you need it, you kinda learn a few tricks to help you get by”
Jumin was a stubborn man, but you were his even more stubborn wife. He knew he was not going to be able to stop you once you had your mind set on something.
Once the nail was halfway in the cork you put the top of the nail in between the legs of the hammer and proceeded to pull upwards.
The cork slowly began to slip from the bottle as you pulled on the nail.
You heard a satisfying pop as the cork came off and the wine bottle was open.
You smiled and returned to the table with the now open wine bottle, pouring Jumin and yourself a glass.
Arms were wrapped around your waist and warm breath cascaded down your ear and neck as that familiar deep voice spoke to you softly.
“I could use a creative mind like yours to help me with a new cat project I’ve been wanting to start”
“Are you offering me a position?”
“If you’re willing to accept”
“Well, that all depends on the pay, Sir. I accept no less than 10 kisses an hour”
“You play a hard bargain, but I might be willing to make an exception and pay it all forward now”
Saeyoung
“MC!”
“MCCCCCCC”
“MCMCMCMCMC”
“WHAT! I’m in the shower Saeyoung!”
“But I need youuuuuuuu!”
“Just wait I’m almost done!”
“But I need you nooooooooooooow! It’s an emergencyyyyyy”
You huffed and mumbled curses as you yanked your towel off the rack and pulled it around your torso.
Seven was sitting at his computers holding a PhD Pepper and a silly straw with a pout on his face
“What”
“The straw won’t stay in the soda”
-_-
:(
-______-
:(((((((((((((((
You snatch the silly straw and soda from him
Twist the tab so that its over the hole
Stick the straw through the tab and into the drink
And guess what
It stayed
“MY FUTURE WIFE IS A WIZARD”
“Future wi-”
He pulled you into his lap
Smothered you in kisses
And then you felt a breeze
You both stopped and looked at the towel on the floor
Who said Zen is the only one that has an inner beast?
This is my first request I’ve ever done so I hope I don’t disappoint! I will be doing more asks that have been sitting in the inbox from oldest to newest and feel free to send in more requests!
