Did you kNoW?
Stimulants affect people with ADHD differently because our brains are not processing the naturally produced dopamine as effectively as a neurotypical brain would. The stimulant helps boost us to a 'normal' feeling level.
This is why when a neurotypical person takes ADHD medication they have extreme bursts of productivity and write their thesis in one night or I dunno remodel their house, while an ADHD person might just take them and be like 'Hooray I managed to wash my clothes and hang them up in the same day!'
Jokes on them though, because I can drink coffee at 11pm and sleep right after. Take that society.

ADHD + Caffeine Poll
examples of a "reduced effect" may include, but are not limited to:
needing to consume much more than others to get a "wake up" effect (eg drinking a full pot of coffee by yourself in the morning)
a set amount of caffeine improving focus/attention, without a major increase in energy (eg an energy drink that helps you study commonly causing extreme energy boosts in others)
need and/or ability to consume late in the afternoon/evening/night and not impact your ability to sleep (culture norms notwithstanding, ie cultural practice of after-dinner coffee may not count)
EDIT: due to some very good points, "reduced effect" can also be interpreted as "opposite effect"

How i manage to work 8 hours a day from home with unmedicated adhd?
I just drink enough caffeine to kill a small elephant herd, gain the focus of an electron microscope, the heartbeat of a F1 car engine and forget to sleep for the whole week

Drug manufacturers: "Sorry ADHD sufferers, we don't have enough people to make all of the medications you need to be functional people :/. There's a shortage :/:/:/"
Coffee companies: "Oh? Hold my drink :)."

Out of all the Vinland Saga characters, Thorkell should be the one to avoid caffeine intake... We all know what happened with Björn after his mushroom intake... But Thorkell on caffeine... 💀
There is a small chance that caffeine might counteract his wild behavior and make him tired, like… he has adhd brain. But yeah, most likely he would start moving at Mach 1 and kill absolutely EVERYTHING in his way😭

Am I the only one who thinks we should start classifying ADHD like this:
Type 1: I just took my meds for the first time it's 5 milligrams of methylphenidate and HOLY SHIT I can focus more than I ever have in my life I just got 5 weeks of work done in an hour is this what neurotypicality feels like
Type 2: I need to talk to my doctor about giving me a higher dosage for like the third time this year. I know it's weird, but 40 milligrams doesn't seem to be cutting it. For example, since we last upped my dosage (like four months ago) I have 34 missing assignments, regularly forget to eat for over 6 hours, and lose my phone every four and a half minutes no matter where I am and how often I'm checking it's still there. Basically it is business as usual and I dislike it.
