Hey so I realized I had something to share… I’m not a canine myself, but I thought it could maybe help some who are!

So my dog doesn’t really have a tail, or rather, what little he does have is all twisted up (called a corkscrew tail) and he can’t wag it, much like one with a human body

However, he instead just… wags his whole body when he wants us to know he’s happy. He’ll move his shoulders and hips like he’s pretending to be a little worm

So if you don’t have a tail to wag, I thought some might like to know that there are other ways to get around it… just in case it helps you express yourself better

As a child I would genuinely obsess every day about “proving” myself to the people around me and becoming some sort of bird — occasionally it’d be a crow, or just the wings, or a hawk, or an eagle — but it was always the same dream. I don’t know if it was the obsessive need to be better than my peers ( oops. ) or the need to prove I was what I thought I was ( early childhood ideas of being a shapeshifter or an angel ) but it filled my waking thought every moment I was outside in the presence of others.

I think I’ve always been alterhuman. I’ve always existed with one foot in reality and the other in my dreams.
