I think they should meet. I think Dread should have a massive crush on Shadow because he looks and feels like a shard because of his chaos energy. I think Dread should flirt with Shadow very very aggressively and Shadow, who has never been flirted before in his life, has no idea what he is supposed to do.

DuLac AU!

The AU where little twins Percival and Lamorak adopt their new playmate Galahad as a brother, and Galahad’s dad Lancelot as their Dad! 

- Percival, Lamorak, and Galahad are all essentially the same age! 

- Percival and Lamorak are twins! Aside from the fur color, the other big significant different between them is that Lamorak has a beak and Percival has ears.

- Percival and Lamorak’s father is Sir Pellinore the Gryphon. He is tasked with catching the elusive Questing Beast, so he is hardly ever at Camelot Castle. So Lamorak and Percival were being essentially raised by nannies and tutors, until they became too big and wild to control so they just kinda... run around.

- Percival has fire powers, and Lamorak has wind powers- which they can’t really control very well, but used to exploit to the fullest. Lancelot is helping them train to control their powers. Galahad has psychic powers, too, so he is uniquely well-equipped to deal with powerful kids.

- Lancelot also hates being cooped up in the castle and goes on adventures frequently- he just brings his kids along with him. No better teacher than experience, and they know to get out of his way.

- This Lancelot leans more on the feral, Shadow side of characterization- he’s impulsive, gruff, seems incredibly annoyed and done with his kid’s antics....  but he does genuinely love them and care for them very much. He’s fiercely protective of them, a very “yeah, they’re annoying brats but they’re *my* brats” attitude.

- All the kids want their Daddy’s eyeshadow, so every morning, he has to put some red paint around their eyes so they’ll leave him alone. (If he doesn’t they’ll do it themselves with whatever red thing they find in the castle.)

Galahad Design test!

Design notes:

His crest/symbol is based off of Silver's circle line pattern on his gloves, and the phoenix design on the flag of Soleana! C:

Ok, so, his footwear is my own weird- headcanon that the fae are super-connected to the earth, so they don't like footwear. Nimue doesn't wear anything on her feet, Lancelot has a sort of simple sandal (but goes barefoot often) and then Galahad has these weird sandals!

Galahad's sandals are the closest to being more standard footwear since he is the farthest removed from the fae, but it's still a part of his heritage. (Much to his chagrin. He's got Daddy issues in this AU.)

That thing on his head is called a torse! According to wikipedia: “In heraldry, a torse or wreath is a twisted roll of fabric laid about the top of the helmet and the base of the crest. It has the dual purpose of masking the join between helm and crest, and of holding the mantling in place.”

Jet is probably the only guy who would wear a ceremonial object as an everyday headband lmao.

Trying to make her and Lamorak look more like siblings by incorporating some of his elements, and vice versa! Instead of Blaze’s red jewel, Percival has a little red mole and another on her shoulder.

(And before anyone asks- Percival and Lamorak are half-sibling who share a father, Sir Pellinore, and he is a Griffin. Their daddy is part bird and part lion. C: )

Freckles gawain makes his comeback! C: I made heraldy for him, too! Combination of master emerald on a pattern isnpired by Tikal’s skirt. 

Also, I like the idea that the master emerald is like, a treasure of Orkney and Lothian, so Gawain gets a shard he wears like a necklace. All the Orkney kids do. C:
