Top 5 Mustafar Quotes That Make Me Insane

1.After choking Padmé, fully high on the dark side, Anakin still offers Obi-Wan a chance to walk away. [+at the beginning of the book it's explicitly stated that Obi-Wan "frankly prefers to sit alone in a quiet cave and meditate" so... yes, anakin, it IS what he likes]

2.The iconic "identical, better than brothers, more intimately than lovers, complementary halves" quote, which is followed by Obi-Wan's inability to actually attack the man he came to the planet to kill.

3.Obi-Wan sensing death and deciding they should go there together

4. The repeated emphasis on how close they were and why this hurts so much more. It's personal.

5.The fact that "despite it all... Obi-Wan still loved him."

there's really no words for the cumulative impact of the 11 or so pages of the mustafar fight in the novel. it appears after about 400 pages setting the stage, and only 12 pages follow it before the end of the book. the fight stretches out on film as one of the longest of all time, but in the novel it's a harsh punctuation mark that pierces the paper and bleeds ink through the page. it stabs you, twists the knife, and fades away. i will never really get over it, i think.

Honestly shout out to fakiru for being so good at making me suspend my disbelief.

I’m always in the camp of “those kids would not fucking stay together.” Aang and katara? Im sorry but no fucking way do they get married. Your defining childhood relationships don’t always last.

But then you have fakir promising Duck he’ll stay with her all his life and I’m like like yeah no shit they’re staying together. I’m a queerplatonic fakiru truther but if ikuko itoh got on her phone today and tweeted that fakiru get married post canon I’d be like yeah that checks out. Those guys are gonna be friends if nothing else until one of them is in the grave or turned into a tree permanently. Maybe longer with the way dross is still kicking around.

Sometimes I think about how if Duck does become human again she’d be living the ken life: no house no car no money no job and she’d be totally reliant on fakir for access to those things. Which is a scary place to be and creates an absolute breeding ground for a toxic or downright abusive relationship. And yet? I’m like nah it’ll literally be fine. Not even worried. Which is INSANE considering fakir’s track record. What is it about fakiru that has me so bullheadedly confident that despite him having a significant amount of power over her in the relationship they’d always stay equals?? I don’t fucking know! Even if things did go sour between them of course fakir would make sure duck was well off enough to get by on her own, that’s not even a question.

Anyways those are my rambling musings. Thank u princess tutu for giving me two leads where I am absolutely convinced without a hint of doubly they will be the best of friends forever

My heart is still racing, but OH MY GOD! WHAT THIS COULD MEAN FOR THE FUTURE OF THE CAMPAIGN AND EVEN ASHTON’S STORY!!

They were told by MANY PEOPLE that a being cannot hold two shards within them, and although I would have loved to see what would happen with a Titan powered Fearne, I am SO EXCITED to see what happens now that Ashton has literally done the impossible!

As Matt said, at the moment Ashton is an unprecedented creature (whatever that means) and that could lead to some REALLY interesting story points and I’m also really excited to see how the group dynamic changes.

Ashton is an asshole. That is just common knowledge, but even though they have a huge heart of gold and did this so they could ‘protect everyone’, it was not the plan and everyone, even Fearne, is probably furious at them for being so careless with their life! What they are doing is going to cause more harm then good to the people he loves and he doesn’t realize that.

He is going to have to live with the aftermath of this and that might result in the Hells not trust him like they used to, and I am really excited to see the story, and character dynamic, implications of this even.

Also good gods above this is definitely going into one of the top CR moments now.
