What are your thoughts on Baroque music because from my experience people seem to either love it or think it's mediocre as hell so what do you make of it

well anon (who are you), i play a baroque instrument and love it dearly with my whole heart and therefore i am extremely pro baroque.

and i also especially love the grandness of the period. you hear the compositions and they sound regal and over empowering and that is especially fun to play.

one of my all time favourites from the baroque period would be Abdelazer Rondeau by Purcell (go check it out it explains what i mean) though my conductor conducted it a little differently and i do like his version better.

Uh.... you know I've been meaning to get back to practicing (it's such a stress reliever) so maybe later? it's probably going to be one of the following:

a) a duet version of the Rondeau from Purcell's Abdelazer that I will force my sister into playing with me (better known as the music from this pivotal scene:)

b) me reliving my regionals trauma with Kreisler's Praeludium and Allegro

c) me playing Vivaldi's Summer and once more remembering that it really doesn't sound so hot (ha see what I did there) without accompaniment
