All of my friends and acquaintances who have primarily used Twitter (and FB) for social media, who most unfortunately are panicking (and I do feel for them), are trying to figure out where to go.

But they don’t ask me!

Why? Bc as far as they are concerned, I am only reachable via SMS bc despite having original or very early social media accounts on all the big players who emerged in the 00s, I saw the handwriting on the wall 12 years ago and deleted all of my content and left empty shells behind (yep, even LinkedIn and I can tell you I have never needed that service— it was irrelevant at best and annoying as fuck at worst— I’m looking directly at two very annoying recruiters at goog who literally harassed me for not responding to their efforts to suck me into that hellhole especially after I was pretty public on everything goog was doing very wrongly and what I though about them back them ).

You see, as of 2010 I have not been on social media!!!

Anon's Random Thought of The Day: 1 Year of AO3

300,457 words written in that time (and counting)

I know that this might not be a big deal to anyone else, but it's important for me to acknowledge my progress. I'm a person that tends to focus on where they're going rather than appreciating how far they've gone.

And a year ago, I wasn't doing so great.

Firstly, let me just appreciate the fact that I had the foresight to change my username from anonymoususername (seriously, that was always such a pain in the ass to type) when I made the move to AO3. Seriously, for years on FF I went by that pseud, so terrible. I was also forcing myself to post daily (!!) without even the shortest break, and I'd get so mad at myself for not physically able to adhere to that entirely self imposed schedule.

(People are also nicer on AO3 and Tumblr too.)

Okay, I'm ending this post here, because there's absolutely gonna be a longer, even sappier post for one year of the Grumpy Sunshine series.

So thank you, so, so much, this year has meant more to me than anyone will ever know. 💛💛💛
