fic rec friday
Things that are not covered in the absolutely USELESS parenting books that Sirius Black, recently freed from Azkaban and new guardian of Harry James Potter, bought in a recent panic:
- How to balance parenting and wooing the hot Dark Magic Exterminator from Lupin & Co that you hired to clear out your parents’ creepy townhouse
- How to convince your five-year-old that the basilisk, boggart and ghoul you planted in the house so said hot exterminator would have to keep coming back are not, in fact, his new best friends
- How to walk your child’s pet basilisk (when you inevitably fail).
Today fic by OptimisticDinosaur is absolutely just vibes and happy thoughts! It's a very fluffy one-shot fic with a tiny sequel and it's so lovely.
Favourite tropes included are:
•Remus Lupin never went to Hogwarts
•Harry is beeing raised by Sirius
•idiots falling in love
•Harry gets a snake!!
I feel like this fic is me making up for the somewhat angsty fics I have recommended lately, so do with that what you will.
As always, give lots of love and kudos to the author and have an amazing rest of the week.

Sirius went stumbling forward, hands flying out and grabbing onto whatever he could reach, which happened to be the slippery polyester of the windbreaker on James’ shoulder. His fingers slipped over the fabric and Sirius went tumbling down onto the sidewalk, his feet hanging over the gutter he just tripped over, his laces soaking in the murky puddle there. James looked down at him with a gasp, shocked to see Sirius fall, unable to catch him. He fixed the frame of his glasses and made eye contact with his best friend, and they both burst out laughing.
James stumbled back, far too overcome with laughter, already unstable on his feet from all the alcohol they’d been drinking, and crashed into a post-box. Sirius rolled onto his back, splayed out like a starfish on the pavement and wiped the tears forming in his eyes from laughing too hard.
They were far gone.
“You fucking git.” He managed to get out before clutching at his stomach with a new wave of laughter. James’ hair was even messier than usual, his glasses askew, and his jacket now practically half off as he gripped onto the post box behind him for stability. He looked like a mess, and it was hilarious to Sirius.
“You tripped over first!” James howled, standing upright now, “I told you the gutter was there.”
“I thought it was further away.” Sirius smiled, reaching his hand up for James to take. “It’s not my fault everything’s blurry.”
“It certainly is your fault.” James smiled, pulling Sirius to his feet, not without another stumble from the both of them, where they were gripping onto each other for dear life, “No one told you to skull that long island iced tea.”
“Actually, James dear… you did.” Sirius smiled, petting his friend on the chest as he slung another arm around his middle.
James smiled, thinking about it for a moment as he wrapped his arm over Sirius’ shoulders. They needed to rely on each other to stay upright, now. “Oh, yeah…” He started laughing again, “You’re right, I did.”
Sirius chuckled as they stumbled along the street. The air was cold out, crisp; it had rained whilst they were in the pub. Tonight had been an ABBA themed night, down at their local, and the pair had desperately wanted to go. Remus and Regulus had given them a stern no for an answer the minute they were invited, so it was just these two tonight. The original troublesome two… the ultimate duo.
They had a blast, dancing with a big group of girls dressed in glitter and flares. It was one of their eighteenths, her first night legally drinking, and James and Sirius had bought her a couple of shots. They all screamed and danced together when Gimme Gimme Gimme! came on, but James and Sirius screamed the loudest. The regular, older, more conservative patrons of the pub were not exactly pleased, but that just egged the pair on.
“Knowing me, knowing you…” Sirius slurred, swinging his arm out for dramatics.
James leaned further into his space, his breath like vodka and sugar, “Ah haaaaaa!”
“There's nothing we can do!”
“Knowing me, knowing you.” James bopped along, wiggling his body and hip bumping Sirius to take the next line.
“We just have to face it, this timeeeee we're through.” Sirius sang, rather terribly, actually. Sirius has a nice voice, James thinks, when he sings in the shower, and in the car. It’s nice to listen too, a good baritone, and he can hold a note. But now he was singing high pitched and without any intention of sounding good, and one could certainly tell. It almost made James’ ear ring, but he was too drunk to care.
James laughed, setting his voice significantly deeper to sing backup to Sirius, “This time were through. We're through.”
“And breaking up is never easy, I know…” Sirius broke out, tearing himself away from James and grabbing his hand, making James twirl under his arm, taking his voice up a notch, “But I haaaaave tooooo go!”
James pointed over to Sirius, setting his voice deep again, egging him on, “I have to go.”
“Knowing me knowing you,” Sirius sang, and then closed his eyes, pressed a finger to his ear and on the other hand he held up a finger as he practically screeched, “It’s the best I can doooo-”
“Shut the fuck up!” Someone yelled, half hanging out of their window of the building beside them, “It’s three in the morning you fucking slag.”
Sirius burst out laughing, his hands clasped over his mouth as he fell into James’ shoulder. James tried his best not to laugh, but he was struggling. He looked up to the person and gave them a little wave, “Sorry!” He shouted, before ending up in hysterics too, muffled by the wild frizz that had taken to Sirius’ hair.
They continued to stumble down the street, laughing into each other and trying their best to stay right way up, but it wasn’t easy. They finally reached their apartment block and took a good three and a half minutes trying to find the right key for the front door.
“I’m a bit hungry, how about you, mate?” James asked, pushing the door open for Sirius.
“Bugger.” Sirius tutted, trying to quietly make his way towards the stairs. There are lots of old people living in this building. There are lots of angry old people that Sirius enjoys pissing off, but mostly there are really lovely old ladies that bake the boys cookies from time to time, and old men that let Sirius and Remus flick through their record collections and borrow a few vinyls. So Sirius would rather not get on their bad sides. “We forgot to stop for yiros.”
“Bloody hell.” James muttered, clambering up the stairs behind him. They were both clinging onto the railing, occasionally climbing the stairs on all fours when the drink made their head spin. “I knew we did something different this time.”
“Do you reckon old Dimitri will have missed us.”
James snickered, whacking Sirius on his back, “I’ll bet he had an easy night without you there, do you know how long it takes for you to order? You get the same bloody thing every time.”
“Well I want to be sure, James.” Sirius said with a roll of his eyes, “Besides… he loves my company. I’m sure of it.”
“Ah huh.” James nodded, surpassing Sirius on the stairs. They’d initiated some silent race to see who could get to the top first, as they often did when drunk.
“Oi! Get back here, wanker.” Sirius whispered harshly, yanking James back by the belt loops.
Sirius managed to get past him, but only because James tripped back and down the stairs, onto the fifth floor platform. Sirius turned when he heard the clunk, and had to bite down on his hand to stop his laughter from waking Little Lucy, whose bedroom was right on the other side of the wall beside him.
“You bloody idiot.” Sirius cackled, his back sliding down the wall as he clutched at his stomach.
James sat up, rolling his shoulders and fixing his glasses, “You pulled me, you wanker.”
“You’re a wanker.” Sirius buried his face in his knees.
“Shut up, you’ll wake the whole building.” James said, clambering back up the stairs on his hands and knees, “Come on, we’ll never make it home at this point.”
Sirius let himself be yanked to his feet by James, and once again, they clung onto each other for the rest of the hike. Once on the seventh floor, James fumbled with the keys for another two minutes before Sirius snatched them away, insisting he could do it. He just tried shoving every key in the lock until one worked.
“You’re an idiot.” James mused, shaking his head.
“Actually, I’m a very smart and handsome young man, according to your mother.” Sirius said, pushing the door closed behind them with a bit of a bang.
James rolled his eyes, “Yeah, she said that when you were twelve.”
“Actually, she said that last night.” He grinned, grabbing James by the face and pumping his eyebrows at him, “When she was in my bed-”
“Ew!” James pushed Sirius away, pulling him into a headlock, “You repulse me, you git. Shut up.”
Sirius burst out laughing, and they roughoused a little before Sirius got free, and his hair stuck up much like James’. They were both wiping tears from their eyes, again, by the end of it.
“You know what would be fucking amazing right now?” James asked, walking into the kitchen with Sirius trailing behind him.
“Hmm,” Sirius thought with a little shrug, grabbing two glasses from the pantry, “Remus.”
James huffed, glaring over at Sirius deadpan, a bottle of fireball in his hand, “No. And unless you want me making similar comments about your brother, I suggest you shut your smart mouth up.”
“Ew!” Sirius fake gagged, “Disgusting, Prongs.”
James just grinned, a proud one. Sirius shoved the glasses on the counter in front of him, and James poured them each a very generous shot. “You know, Marlene told me that this tastes brilliant with apple juice?”
“Apple juice?” James asked.
“Yeah.” Sirius shrugged, “Wanna try?”
“Go on.” James nodded, “S’not like we’ve got anything to lose.”
Sirius pulled a funny face and laughed at James’ commentary, opening the fridge to get the juice out. “Oh, we’ve only got apple and blackcurrant…” He looked up at James, holding the bottle awkwardly in his hands.
“Oo, extra flavour.” James said, with an excited waggle of his brow, and Sirius laughed.
He moved over and very messily poured the juice into their glasses, “Wait… what were you going to say before?”
“What?” James asked, licking up the side of his glass where Sirius had spilled.
“Before…” Sirius shrugged, doing the same as James because he was really quite drunk and prone to mess, “When you said something about… you wanted something.”
“Oh.” James nodded, taking a sip and pulling a strange face, “Pasta.”
Sirius took a sip too, and made a face much similar to James, “Huh… this tastes…”
“Funny.”
Sirius nodded, “Yeah…” He shrugged and went for another sip, “Not half bad though.”
“I’m sure it would be better with just regular apple juice.”
“Probably.” He sipped some more, leaning his hip on the edge of the counter before slipping forward and stumbling into James again, “And what kind of pasta would you want right now?”
James laughed and helped steady him before speaking, both of their drinks sloshing over the edge of their glasses, “Hmm, cheesy… spicy… creamy.”
“Oooh.” Sirius grinned, all big with teeth as he set his glass down. He wandered over to the pantry to have a look, “We’ve got a million canned tomatoes… and a massive packet of penne.”
“Do we have cream?” James asked, and Sirius moved to the fridge to have a look.
“Yup.” He nodded, smiling over at James. He looked cheeky like that, as if he was up to no good again. And he probably was.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” James asked with a mischievous lilt.
Sirius flung his hand in the air, slamming the fridge shut, “Dibs not cutting the onion!”
***
BANG!
Remus sat up in a flash, heart beating in his throat.
CLASH!
He was quick to his feet, not even taking the time to pull on his slippers like he usually would. He scrambled across his room with one sock on, the other lost to his bed somewhere, in his boxers and a Metallica shirt that was actually Sirius’.
There was an umbrella sitting by his bedroom door, and he grabbed that before heading out into the dimly lit hallway.
He came face to face with Regulus there, standing in his own doorway, a pocket knife clutched between his teeth as he was pulling a creased shirt down his front. He had sleep rumpled hair and bags under his eyes, his feet bare and James’ gym shorts on.
Regulus pressed a finger to his lips, and Remus nodded, both staying dead silent as they turned towards the threat. They could hear voices echoing through the apartment, it sounded like they were arguing, hurrying each other on. Intruders, they were both thinking. Had to be.
They crept down the hall, getting closer and closer to the light coming from the kitchen. The pair stayed close as they approached, silently communicating with one another. Remus would take the one to the left, and Reguls would take the one to the right.
They took a deep breath together, and stepped into the kitchen, weapons raised, ready to attack when-
Oh.
They both lowered their weapons immediately, staring at their boyfriends and the utter mess they’d made of the kitchen.
There were half drunk bottles of alcohol on the island, cups half full and liquid spilt all around them. There was dry pasta scattered over the stove and floor, and tomato sauce fucking everywhere. There was a bag of grated cheese covering half the bench top, a half cut onion there as well. Not to mention the amount of used dishes lying around. Really, how many pots and pans does one need when making pasta?
And the fighting the pair had heard, well that was coming from James and Sirius, standing over a pot of red sauce, bickering over the stirring spoon.
Remus looked over to Regulus with an un-amused expression, who had a similar one plastered on his own face. They both sighed and looked back to their boyfriends, who looked up with the sudden sound, startled.
The both of them, caught like deer in headlights, dropped the spoon and pulled their hands to themselves. The spoon clattered down into the pot, causing some of the sauce to splash up onto them and-
“Ah! James!” Sirius whined, covering his eye, “You bugger! Why’d you drop the spoon?”
“Why’d you drop the spoon?” James fought back.
Sirius sniffed and cried out, “Why’d you put so much chilli in there? It burns.”
“God help me.” Remus muttered to himself, dropping the umbrella and rushing over to Sirius, “Give me your face.”
“Oh, okay.” Sirius smiled, his cheeks crimson as he pulled his hands away, one eye squinted shut. He leant forward, lips puckered for Remus.
“No.” Remus tutted, tapping his cheek a few times before dragging him over to the sink, “Your eye, you knobhead.”
“Why are you being mean?” Sirius whined as Remus shoved his face under the now running stream of cold water from the tap. Sirius cried out, slamming his eyes shut as Remus did his best to rinse the spicy sauce out.
“Because you woke me up.”
“James!” Sirius gasped and ended up with a mouth full of water. He spluttered it out before continuing, “I told you to be quiet.”
“I told you to be quiet!” James bickered back.
“What was that bang?” Regulus asked.
“Padfoot dropped a pot.” James said, easily dobbing his best friend in, even pointing over to him with a thumb, acting like a five year old who just got caught drawing on the walls.
“James!” Sirius scolded, kicking his leg out and nicking James on the calf.
Regulus rubbed his head, “Both of you, shut the fuck up please?”
“Yes, Regulus.” Sirius muttered, ending up with another mouthful of water at the same time as James said,
“Yes, Reggie, my love.”
Sirius kicked him again.
“Alright.” Remus muttered, lifting Sirius and turning off the tap, “Blink for me?”
Sirius did as he was told, moving his now soaked hair out of his face.
“You look like a wet rat.” James said, snickering to himself.
Sirius gasped and flipped him off, still trying to fix his hair, “Remus, you still think I’m pretty, right?”
Remus deadpanned him, grabbing a tea towel to wipe his boyfriends face clean, “I think you’re a very pretty wet rat.”
Sirius kicked him too.
“Why the fuck are you making pasta?” Regulus asked, rounding the counter to turn off the stove.
“We wanted pasta.” James shrugged.
“It was all Prongs’ idea.” Sirius said and poked his tongue out at James.
James poked his tongue back out of Sirius, which got him a swat across the chest. So, naturally, he swatted Sirius back, which led to Sirius then retaliating, and they were roughhousing again, on the messy floor of the kitchen.
Remus rubbed his eyes, looking at the mess before turning to Regulus, “Tomorrow?”
Regulus nodded, “Tomorrow.” He agreed, and they both turned to head back to their rooms.
“Where are you going?” Sirius poked his head up, his hands shoving James’ face into the ground.
“Don’ you wan’ some pastha?” James asked, his cheek awkwardly smushed into the tile, slurring his words.
Regulus and Remus shared another look. They were both tired as shit, being woken up at who knows what hour of the night to deal with this atrocity, but unfortunately they were burdened with stupid love for their stupid boyfriends.
“Fine.” Regulus sighed.
“Just a little bit.” Remus agreed, “But then bed.”
“You’re cleaning this up tomorrow too.” Reggie said, arms folded as he jutted his hip out, “We expect to wake up to the kitchen being spotless.”
“Yessir.” Sirius saluted him, clambering off of James now.
“Anything you want, Reggie bab-” James started, but Sirius tackled him to the ground again.

some of ya'll think that remus' biggest secret was litlle furry problem, don't you? how incorrect you are. remus' biggest secret (okay maybe as big as the litlle furry problem) was his childhood plushie. and u are fucking right it was a dog. a fluffy, big ass dog, that he was sure sirius were dressing up as or vice versa. he would have this plushie, named oscar (later he would be like "OSCAR WILDE?") since he was his curly-haired baby self. walking, traveling and sleeping as him. when he went to hogwart for almost half of 1st year he would hide him in his bed, just in case when he would need a portion of comforting. when sirius showed him his animagi form for the first time his jaw literally DROPPED OUT OF AN ORBIT.

The soles of his shoes clacked against the damp cobblestone path. Sirius wasn't entirely sure where he was going, but he'd arrived a full 45 minutes early on campus, so he was really just killing time. He'd just begun thinking of heading to the library when he came across a small building, with a sign overhead that read "Coffee on Campus". Sirius had heard of this cafe before- his friend Marlene had preached to him about how "Utterly amazing!" their mochas were. Hell, Sirius thought, why not?
Or, Sirius makes an impulse decision to try out a new cafe. He leaves with a mocha, and a crush.

-------- This is an old fic, part of some drafts of a oneshot collection I had on Wattpad that I'm moving here! Writing quality is probably questionable, and I'm still trying to get a hang of using this website, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!

i was reading a fanfiction recently where remus was manic pixie dream boying sooo hard and i almost stopped reading because i was like “ugh nobody acts like this” and then i remembered the irish guy i dated who befriended every stranger ever, acquired free concert tickets for us because his friend used to date the lead singer, and died (twice) before being revived and then i was like “okay maybe this isn’t that unrealistic”

Long tags. Gratuitous complaining.
#rant that is irrelevant to everyone#i enjoy silently complaining#but like I'm looking through the most popular fics on ao3 in general#and wolfstar is the top top fic with 7mi plus#like that is absolutely insane#the thing is I don't fully grasp the appeal of their ship#like the fanart is cute and I can understand as a broader concept - pretty boy that is kinda bad boy and pretty but damaged sad boy#(please don't come for me if this isn't their by the book definition)#but like I don't ship them....#i kinds enjoy them individually from time to time. a very diet enjoyment. but I don't love either#and the next popular hp fic in the list. one would think maybe drarry. but nope nope worse#drami*ne like 😖 i hate this ship so much#maybe cause I don't like the bad boy trope. but also cause he's straight up a blood purist who bullied her for years and was vile to her#i hate the 'bully secretly has a crush on bullied trope'#bullying fucking sucks and makes so many kids wish they never had to go to school again. that shit turns school into hell#i don't understand the people who likes this trope. like sorry but they probs never been bullied or ostracized to be writing stuff like dat#there's also pure shameless and unapologetic sm*t. it's not even plot with prn. just harry fucks everyone like#i don't love dr*rry either but the fic themes are less disgusting than the drami*ne ones.#in another note#the rest is anime. minecraft yt (🙄 ok). and chinese fics#and is funny seeing the variety in sizes#the w*lfstar one is 500k+ words with 188 chapters which is insane.#then a few places below its a one shot with 20k words#the harry sm*t galore is 1 FUCKING MILLION WORDS LONG 🤯 and this started this year.........#btw I don't hate Draco (I don't love him either) it's just that I ship him with some therapy and some chille dude#and I love ronmione too much and I bet these fics are full of unfair ron slander#anyway#this has been my ted talk#rambling#vent post (i've reached the max tags 🙈🤡 the power of pettiness)

santa doesn’t know you like i do
james potter x f!reader (smut)
summary: you and james had been distant for a month, until you saw him at a christmas reunion. you thought he didn’t see you the way you wanted him, until he couldn’t help but bringing you over to his apartment next door.
a/n: did this in a rush but i needed to do a christmas james fic, also stream fruitcake (i love you sabrina carpenter) happy holidays!! didn’t really check for mistakes so just tell me if you see any (please), also keep in mind english isn’t my first language so sorry about any errors.
warnings: smut with plot, muggle + modern day au, afab!reader, she/her pronouns referring to reader, reader knows how to bake, james is taller than reader, wolfstar, friends to lovers, petnames (love, darling, sugar), casual drinking, use of y/n once, kissing, hickeys, swearing, praise, fingering, oral (f receiving), slight dom!james and sub!reader dynamic, james loves biting, orgasm denial?, a bit of a size kink, unprotected (sorry) penetration
you loved the winter time, specially christmas.
gifts, snow, hot chocolate, good food, what could be top that?
you and your friends had planned a christmas reunion, you were so excited you felt stupid. sirius and remus were hosting the party in their apartment, which was right next to james’, so you assumed he’d be there.
even though you and james were very close friends, since you had developed a crush on him you both had been a bit distant, specially because he was in a situationship with a girl you barely knew and you didn’t want to get in the way. even if you were attracted to him, you wanted what has best for him, though you couldn’t handle being around him while he was obsessing over her.
you told your roommate, lily, about it and she said that you were acting silly distancing yourself from him like that and that you should try and talk to him normally at the party. you guessed she was right, you just wondered if he was going to bring the girl there, you would absolutely hate it.
you and lily went separately, which you realized was a bad idea once you stood in an elevator with a very heavy glass tray filled with chocolate mousse not being able to press the floor buttons without dropping the dessert on the floor or getting your dress dirty. and so you heard him.
shit.
“remus, are you sure she’s not coming?” you heard james say from far away. “no, i just don’t want to-” he saw you. “listen, i’m getting on the elevator, see you soon” he stepped in, cheeks flushed looking at you. you knew he was talking about you in that phone call.
“hi, it been a while” he says, trying to look away from you.
“james, could you press the button please?” you request, signaling to the buttons on the elevator with your head.
“oh, yeah, of course. going to the party?” he asked, already knowing the answer. you nod a yes, hating how awkward the situation felt. the elevator doors close and you feel obliged to say something
“how’s anna?” you question, remembering the girl he had been with for the past month.
“alright, i think” he looks at you. “it didn’t work out between us, you know? we broke up one or two weeks ago”
“sorry to hear that” you weren’t sorry at all.
“it’s whatever, i’m not even sure if i really liked her, just felt like i was trying to get over someone” he stated, the doors open and he held up his arm, holding the door so you could get out before him.
“that sucks. thank you” you step out, staring at him as he got out. he looked pretty like this, his hair looked messy cute, just the way you liked it. he was wearing the black pants you bought him once and a sweater. he was probably freezing outside. sure, you weren’t wearing the best clothes to keep you warm, specially with the length of the dress, but you took an uber, he walked everywhere.
“hey, could you help me out with something?” he asked, opening the door to his apartment.
“sure” you follow him, closing the door behind you with a bump of your left shoulder, gently placing the tray you were holding on his entrance table. he looks at you, blank look on his face, he looked like his mind was fully empty. “so, what is it you want help with?"
“right, hm, could you help me pick out a sweater?” before you distanced yourself from him, he would always call you randomly and ask you to pick out his clothes. you loved it, it felt like playing with dolls again. you nodded a yes and he went to his room, you looked around his living room. it looked the exact same it did a month ago, except it had a small christmas tree in the corner between the tv and the framed mirror. you got on your knees to look at the ornaments. they all had pictures of him and his friends. once you saw a picture of you and him in one, you felt like crying, it was the cutest thing. you were smiling and his face was glued to the side of yours, pretending he was biting your cheek. you quickly took a photo and put your phone back in your cardigan's pocket.
“you like the tree?” he smiled, you turned your head and got up, straightening your dress. he had given you quite the fright.
“it’s cute” you smile back, he was shirtless, holding two options in his hands.
“did you see that photo of us from thanksgiving?”
“yeah, i did” you look away. he holds up two sweaters, a cream colored one with little blue patterns and an awfully ugly one that had christmas lights. you were sure he had worn the ugly one to last years holiday party, it was ugly sweater themed.
“i would go with the one that doesn’t have lights” you were sure he was joking when he brought that one. “also, that has to be some sort of fire risk.” you joke as he put son the cream one.
“good choice, thank you, love” he referred to you like that, you just didn’t expect he would feel okay with doing it now.
“you’re welcome, james” you smile, looking at him, but not directly into his eyes. he goes to the door and picks up the mousse effortlessly.
“i’ll get this for you, don’t worry” he said before you could question him. you follow him and open the door.
once he steps out, you close the door behind him and he looks at you that way again.
“we’re doing okay, right? we’re not fighting or anything like that?” he asked, your brows furrow, feeling bad for not treating him like you usually did this past month.
“of course we’re okay, aren’t we? i’m okay” except you weren’t okay with loving him, you weren’t okay at all, but it was better to love him and him not corresponding than not having him in your life at all.
“good, ‘cause i wouldn’t know what to do without you, darling” he said, smiling.
“i wouldn’t know what to do without you either” you smile back and ring the doorbell to the apartment next to james’. it takes him a while but remus opens the door, looking at you and james in shock.
“hey, guys” he said in an awkward tone, the one that his voice turned into when he was nervous. “come in” he said, opening the door wider and mouthing something to james as he held the door for you.
“i’ll take your dessert to the kitchen” james says to you as you head over to lily, who was talking to mary.
“okay, just put it in the refrigerator, alright?” he nods and sirius follows him as he goes to the kitchen.
“why’d you lie to me?” he interrogates remus as he opens the door of the refrigerator.
“listen, i knew you wouldn’t come if i told you she’d be here. i didn’t want you to spend christmas all alone in your apartment, plus, you guys weren’t even in a fight, you’re just distant” he explains himself nervously moving his hands.
“he saw her?” sirius questions, coming into the kitchen and seeing his boyfriend nervous.
“went up the elevator with her.” james stated and looked at remus again “she could’ve heard what i was telling you on the phone, you know?” james said almost whispering, scared you’d hear that too.
“please, everyone knows that you’re in love with her. don’t torture rem’ over it” sirius jokes, giving the man next to him a kiss on the cheek.
“listen, chill out, drink a bit. it’ll be fine” remus says, looking at james with empathetic eyes.
james was trying to not think about you. he had been trying for the past year. until he met anna a month ago, as time passed and he spent more time around anna, he realized that everything she did reminded him of you. it seemed like he had been falling to someone who was a bad copy of you and he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he stayed with her. that month was by far the worst in his year, it was the one without you. you pulled away and he didn’t understand why, so when he saw you that night, he thought you hated him. he didn’t know what to do.
until you talked to him.
that was when he felt like everything good was happening to him, like somehow the universe had brought you back to him. and when he saw you taking a picture of his christmas tree his heart could’ve just melted. he knew you didn’t hate him and that was the biggest relief possible. so he stayed at the party.
“hi” you greeted him, sitting down next to him on the couch. everyone was doing their own thing. james would usually be around the boys joking and drinking, but that night he had spent most of his time sat on the couch across from you eyeing your every move. when mary, who had been talking to you for the past twenty minutes, saw him, she announced that she was going to get a drink and chat with peter for a bit. and so you were left making eye contact with james from across the room. after thirty seconds you got up and sat next to him.
“hey” he smiled, you took his drink from his hand and took a sip, not breaking eye contact once. the heat burned your throat in the best way possible, it was way stronger than what he usually had.
“changing it up for the holidays? you’re usually a beer guy, aren’t you?” you ask, putting his drink on the coffee table in front of you both.
“decided i needed something more for tonight, 'was feeling kind of tired, you know?” you nod in answer, your leg brushed against james’ and you immediately looked away from him, he casually put his right hand on your knee and lead it up to where your dress ended in the middle of your thighs. you were so incredibly close it was driving you insane, what was he even doing?
“have you baked those cookies recently?" he looks at you, like he wasn’t doing nothing at all. was he drunk?
“i haven’t, but i can bake some for you another day, i know you like them. how much did you drink?” you ask, his tolerance was high, the party had been going for about an hour and a half, he didn’t drink much, did he?
“almost nothing. two cups of that you drank” his hand there was driving you crazy, you tried to hide it but your nervousness was pretty noticeable. “i really like the cookies, what do you put in them that’s different?” “hm, usually i put more salt and vanilla extract than what’s recommended by recipes but that’s it” you felt a lump in your throat, he was making you so nervous. he looked so good and you felt like screaming because he had never touched you like that before. sure, very long hugs and sometimes cuddles, but not hands on thighs and whatever it was he was doing to you.
“are you alright, love? you seem a bit pale” he questioned, smiling at you, that damned smile.
“i’m fine. i’m going to the bathroom to freshen up, but i’ll be back soon” you got up and walked quicker than usual to the guest bathroom, locking the door behind you as you walked in. you looked at yourself in the mirror, trying to calm down. no, he wasn’t flirting with you, you were just being delusional, it was all fine. plus, you both were really good friends. it was completely normal for friends to touch each other like that, you were just letting your feelings for him get in the way of some friendly physical touch. that was probably it. you checked your makeup and flushed the empty toilet, to at least fake you were actually in the bathroom.
as you opened the door, you were faced with james potter, in all his glory, staring at the door of the bathroom you were just in.
“sorry, did i take long? i-” he interrupted you.
“listen, y/n, i have been trying to brush this off for about a year now but i can’t. i hope this doesn’t affect our friendship, but im interested in you. as more than a friend and i really like you. i think you’re pretty, funny, i think you smell great and have an amazing taste on basically everything. i want to take you out on dates and treat you better than anyone ever has, this past month i have felt so bad without you around me and when i saw you again today i just felt better. well, that was until i realized about half an hour ago that i hadn’t bought you a christmas gift, but just text me your wishlist and i’ll get you whatever you want because i just want to make you happy. that’s all i want this christmas. also, is this bad timing to point out the mistletoe on the doorframe?”
you couldn’t believe it. you loved everything he had just said, you wanted him more than you’ve ever wanted anything in your life. you loved him.
“kiss me” you said simply like your heart wasn’t pounding crazy quick in your chest.
“what?” “kiss me. isn’t it bad luck not to kiss under mistletoe?” so he did. his lips crashed with yours, his right hand holding you by the back of your neck and his left on your hip, closer to your ass than it normally would be in any kiss. he spent a while like that, lips glued to yours, taking the situation in. he pulled away, looked at you from top to bottom and then went back to the kiss. his tongue entered your mouth smoothly, but the kiss was feral and hungry. he craved your taste, he kissed you like a starved man.
soon enough, the left hand was grabbing your ass for dear life. he pulled away again, leaving you craving the feeling of his mouth on yours.
“you’re not feeling well, can i take you home?” he asked, looking at your lips. it took you a while to understand what he was implying.
“please” you whisper, he takes your hand and leads you to the living room, grabbing your cardigan from the chair it was on.
“wait here” he said to you, going over to sirius and telling him you were feeling a bit sick. sirius waved to you and mouthed a get well soon, it was sweet he believed james, specially since his mouth looked pink from your tinted lipgloss.
as soon as you stepped out of the apartment you looked at james with a big smile on your face.
“this is so weird, i suddenly feel better” you joke.
“really, huh? should take you to my apartment just to be safe” he picked you up, holding you with one arm.
“james!” you shouted, laughing.
“don’t worry, darling. ‘gonna take good care of you” he opened the door to his apartment, closing it with his foot. he took you to his room, throwing you on the bed and jumping to lay down on the spot next to you. he took his shoes off lazily and took off your heels for you.
“you’re so stupid, you know that?” you comment, rolling your eyes at his gesture. you loved it.
“yeah, i am the one who’s stupid” he smiled, crawling over you, his legs between yours and his face right over yours, giving you a sweet smile. he kissed you again, that same starved way, this time he wouldn’t have to stop though.
his hands roamed your body, cupping your breasts through your dress. your hands went over to his hair, tugging on it lightly. he chuckled into your mouth when you did it the first time, but he liked it more than anything. he pulled away from your mouth, now kissing from your cheeks to your neck, biting it lightly, leaving marks. you gasped at the feeling of his teeth nipping on your skin, the wet patch on your underwear becoming absolutely undeniable.
his kisses turned sloppy once they reached your chest, he pulled down your dress to get a good look, you weren’t wearing a bra. your breasts looked absolutely perfect, your nipples perked up because of the cold.
“you look so fucking gorgeous” he whispered “hate to mess you up like this” no he didn’t. he was loving every second of it.
his lips sucked on your right nipple, his hand grabbing your left boob. you moaned at the warm feeling of his mouth on you. his tongue flicking your nipple before moving onto the other.
“james” you gasp, shivering under him. he’s loving the way you react to him. your hand goes down to palm him through his jeans, he can’t help but groan.
“needy, aren’t we?” he teases. he’s been waiting for this moment for so long, at the same time he wants to take it slow, he wants to absolutely wreck you.
“please” you beg, he wants something else first.
“not yet, princess. be patient” he slips his hand under the waistband of your underwear, feeling how wet you were. “all for me?”
“all yours” you tried not to stutter, holding back a moan once he pinched your clit.
“good girl” he says, putting one finger in you, using his thumb to stimulate your sensitive bud. you bring the back of your hand over your mouth to hold in a moan but he stops you.
“nonono, none of that. i wanna hear you, love” he puts another finger in and you moan, lightly arching your back. he smiles and trusts his fingers into you whilst stimulating your bud.
“you’re being so good, sugar. so pretty like this” he praised you, your walls clench around him and you moan loudly at his words. he smirks, already knowing how much you love being praised like that. being told you’re a good girl. he pulls out his fingers and you whine at the empty feeling. he pulls the sweater he was wearing from off of him, discarding the piece of clothing you had picked for him earlier that night. he takes your lacy underwear off and opens your legs, holding apart with his wrists and getting a perfect view of you.
he kisses the inside of your thighs upwards in the direction of your pussy, he was kissing you everywhere except where you most wanted him. until suddenly he kitten licked your hole, his thumb moved in circular motions on your clit. you groaned at the feeling of his mouth on you. he sucked on your clit and put two fingers in again, flicking over your sensitive bud with his tongue.
“fuck!” you moaned once he nipped at your clit with his teeth, you were so close. your hands tug on his hair and you can feel his cocky smile against you. he kept on thrusting his fingers into you, sucking onto your bud harder. you moaned loudly at the feeling, not being able to hold it in.
“shit, james, i’m gonna cum” you say in between moans and groans. you were almost reaching your high but he pulled his fingers out, giving your cunt a peck before pulling away, making you whine.
“not yet” he took off his pants hurriedly, he was wearing white underwear and you could see his hard cock pressed against the fabric. he was bigger than what you thought was. james took himself from out of his underwear, he was on his knees towering over you, not breaking eye contact as he stroked himself before penetrating you. it was probably the hottest thing you had ever seen. he gave you a quick kiss before lining himself up against your entrance, the tip against your aching hole.
“tell me if you want to stop, alright?” he asks, looking into your eyes as you nod. you close your eyes as he begins to put it in.
“no, look at me, love” he demands, you open your eyes and look at him over you. holy shit. once he’s fully in he groans, not moving an inch. “you’re so fucking tight, feels so good” he whispers, pulling out almost fully and then trusting back in. you moaned at the exciting new feeling.
it took him a few thrusts, but once he finally picked up his pace he didn’t hold back, hitting your g-spot perfectly with every thrust. he made you a moaning and shivering mess beneath him, scratching harshly his back. you were sure it would leave marks.
his head was in the crook of your neck, biting the soft skin beneath him. it felt better than anything, it didn’t take long for you to start feel your orgasm coming onto you. he thrusted deeply, hitting the perfect spot even harder.
you moaned loudly, your walls clenched around him, he groaned at the feeling.
“are you alright?” he teased you, voice sounding strained as his thrusts hit deep inside of you. he lifts your hips, thrusting harder and hitting everywhere you needed him to. you threw your head back, completely taken by the pleasure he was causing over you, your eyes fluttering shut.
“shit, james. ‘m gonna cum” you state, scratching his back roughly.
“do it, be a good girl and cum for me” he said, groaning as your walls tightened around him. your climax hits you hard and you're moaning and arching your back as he holds you against him. his thrusts don’t stop once you’ve finished.
“gonna cum in you, is that alright?” you nod in answer, not being able to form a coherent sentence because of how fucked out you were. the sound of his hips slapping against yours filling up the room along with your moans and his swearing. after a few thrusts you felt his cock twitch inside of you, his hot juices mixing with yours.
once he’s finished he collapses over you, not pulling out. he leaves a trail of kisses from your collarbone to your mouth, kissing you firmly once he gets to the end.
“i think i should take you out on a date sometime” he says, grinning. he was so stupid.
“you really should” you kiss him softly and you knew what it was. he was also in love.

'The Horcrux Hunt' by Keysie on ao3
He is a Slytherin, a Black, and an ex-Death Eater. Of course he makes it out of the cave.
Regulus sets out to destroy the Dark Lord's Horcrux with no one but a house-elf to help, until he realises his task is bigger than he alone can handle. Reluctantly he turns to the only man Voldemort fears for assistance - Dumbledore - who loans out his pet wolf for the job, much to Regulus's dismay. Together they embark on a hunt for Horcruxes - a long and arduous journey that both makes friendships and destroys them. And a few people get hurt along the way.
Slowburn Wolfstar, Regulus character development, a very flirty (but platonic) Regulus and Remus friendship, and a canonically manipulative Dumbledore.
Yeay, I'm back to recommending fics that are more in the regular scope of what I read and this one is the fic that actually got me back into the fandom after a long break, wich already makes it one of my favourites!
fovourite tropes included in this one are:
not drowned regulus black
enemies to friends
friends to lovers
(these two points are not related... or are they?)
platonic moonwater
so much fun
(somewhat) healthy comunication
amazing writing
I will also say that this fic has a sequel (both fics can be read as standalones but work great together(maybe some animagus tomfoolery in the sequel?))
as always leave lots of love and kudos to the author and have a great rest of the week <3

(Wolfstar Christmas Get-Together Coffeeshop AU Holiday Fluff!)
3304 words.
Sirius is the town’s most eligible bachelor, and while home for the Holidays, everyone seems eager to get him coupled up.
Euphemia wants to set him up with this sweet boy who frequents the library where she works.
Hope Lupin wants to set him up with her own son.
James wants to set him up with Lily's cute best friend.
Sirius, however, isn't interested in any of them, as he's already smitten with the adorable guy from the coffeeshop.
This Love We Got Is the Best Of All
Merry Christmas - Ed Sheeran & Elton John
“Oh my!” Hope Lupin claps her hands together. “What a handsome young man indeed!”
“I told you, didn't I?” Euphemia beams at her. “Hope, this is Sirius Black, James’ best friend, but more like my second son. Sirius, this is Hope Lupin, she has recently joined my book club and I invited her over for tea.”
“Nice to meet you, Mrs Lupin,” Sirius smiles.
“Oh, please.” Hope Lupin waves her hand. “Call me Hope.”
“How was it at the shelter?” Euphemia asks Sirius.
“Very good!” Sirius’ face lights up. “Mr Snuggles’ owner came to pick him up. You should've seen how happy he was that he had found his friend back, it was lovely, and Mr Snuggles wouldn't stop purring.”
“Sirius is studying in London to become a veterinarian,” Euphemia explains to Hope. “And while he's in town for the Holidays, he's volunteering at the animal shelter.”
Hope leans her elbows on the table and rests her head on her hands. “Handsome, smart and good for animals,” she sighs. “All the girls in town must be swooning over you!”
“They are,” Euphemia chuckles. “But he has already broken all of their hearts by having no interest in girls. Though he has never brought home a nice boyfriend for Christmas either,” she adds, with a stern look at Sirius.
“You know,” Hope says, directing a meaningful smile at Sirius. “My son is about your age and still single. And knowing my boy, he'd be quite charmed by you.”
“Now, wait a minute!” Euphemia protests. “If you want to set Sirius up, you'll have to get in line, my dear Hope. There's this really sweet boy who frequents the library, and I've been dying for Sirius to meet him! If only Sirius would let me introduce them…”
“You know I'm not-” Sirius begins, but he's interrupted by Hope.
“Well, surely my own son comes with a higher recommendation than some boy from your workplace,” Hope insists.
“But I know Sirius,” Euphemia counters. “And I know his type best.”
“Hello?” Sirius waves. “Does anyone care what I think?”
“My son is everyone's type,” Hope says firmly.
“And if my match turns out to not be such a match after all, then your son is more than welcome to shoot his shot…”
“Apparently not,” Sirius sighs, hoisting his bag higher up his shoulder and walking out of the kitchen.
“So now they're both trying to set you up?”
James chuckles.
“It's not funny!” Sirius covers his face with his hands as he drops down next to James on James’ bed. “Just mum was bad enough, but now her friends as well?”
James pops himself up on his elbows and waggles his eyebrows. “That's what you get for being the town’s most eligible bachelor.”
“Middle-aged women meddling in your love life?”
“You know,” James says. “If you want to be one step ahead of the nosy ladies, there's always Lily's friend.”
Sirius groans. “Not you too, Jamie!”
“Oh, come on!” James exclaims. “He's a really chill guy and hella cute! You'd totally like him.”
“Jaaaaames, you know that I'm not… open.”
“Right,” James says, rolling onto his back. “Coffeeshop guy,” he sighs exasperatedly.
“Coffeeshop guy,” Sirius sighs dreamily.
“He's so funny and kind, James. You won't believe.”
James snorts. “What I mostly don't believe, is that you still haven't asked him out yet!”
“I'm getting there, I'm getting there,” Sirius says. “But it's not like I haven't made any progress! Did I tell you that he knows my order now?”
James rolls his eyes. “You've been coming there twice a day ever since you got back in town. If he didn't know your order by now, I'd worry about his mental capacities.”
“You should've seen the way he smiled at me yesterday when he handed me my drink” Sirius says dreamily, as if he hasn't even heard James. “He's so pretty, oh my gosh.”
“I would've loved to see that,” James says dryly. “But someone-” He pokes Sirius in his side “-made me solemnly swear that I wouldn't go near that coffeeshop.”
Sirius huffs. “You admitted that you wanted to interrogate him about ‘his intentions’!”
James shrugs. “Only my brotherly duty.” Then he grins. “Lily's friend already passed my test, by the way.”
“Good for him,” Sirius says unimpressed. “I'm sure he'll make someone very happy someday.”
“Good morning, Remus!”
Remus looks up from where he had been rearranging the pastries in the display. “Oh! Sirius! Morning! A good one. To you as well, I mean.”
“Did you survive the morning coffee rush?” Sirius asks as he approaches the counter.
“Barely,” Remus chuckles. “Good thing it's still too early for most people to order one of our more complicated Holiday Specials.” He shudders. “I'm already dreading the afternoon rush. Luckily some customers are thoughtful enough to always come when the rush is over,” he adds, smiling at Sirius.
Sirius’ stomach flutters. Sure, it's super inconvenient to always start his volunteer work at the shelter a bit late and always stay a bit longer, but that smile makes it all worth it. “Well, gotta make sure I get enough one-on-one time with my favourite barista,” Sirius replies with a wink, and he's pretty proud of his smoothness.
Remus’ cheeks colour, and that could be a good sign, though there's always the chance he's just making Remus uncomfortable.
“You charmer,” Remus mumbles, awkwardly bumping Sirius’ shoulder. “Are you looking for a discount?”
Sirius places a hand over his heart and gasps in pretend-shock. “I would never use my charm for such purposes.”
Remus has given him a free cinnamon bun once, and while Sirius is not much of a sweet tooth, he savored every bite.
“No,” Remus chuckles. “Great power and great responsibility, I suppose.”
“Can imagine rush hour is the worst around Christmas,” Sirius says, looking over the menu. “Must be rather frustrating when you have ten people waiting in line, four coffees still running, and someone goes and orders…” He narrows his eyes at the sign above Remus. “A caramel cookie dough vanilla bean syrup latte moccachino with whipped cream and hazelnut topping.” He looks back at Remus. “What even is that?”
Remus leans over the counter and smirks. “Wanna try one?”
“Remus,” Sirius says emphatically. “The day I walk in here and order something like that, please take me to the ER, because I must've slipped and hit my head on the way here.”
“Booo, you're no fun,” Remus pouts rather adorably, as he pushes himself up from the counter. “Your regular it is.”
“Thank you,” Sirius says, pleased.
“You know,” Remus says, turning around to make Sirius’ double shot cappuccino. “You really gotta step out of your comfort zone every once in a while.”
“My coffee is my comfort,” Sirius replies. “So what would even be the use of my coffee moment if I'm using it to step out of my comfort zone?”
“A little adventure, maybe?”
“It's not that I'm not adventurous, it's just that I know what I like and what I don't like.” Sirius shrugs. “I'm actually plenty adventurous in other aspects of my life.”
“Are you now?” Remus asks, turning around to bring Sirius his cup.
“Oh yeah,” Sirius says. “I love going on spontaneous road trips on my motorcycle, for instance. Did I tell you that I drive a motorcycle?”
Remus’ eyes slightly widen. “That's hot.”
Sirius arches an eyebrow.
“Erm, the coffee,” Remus says, putting the cup down in front of Sirius. “Very hot, so, erm, be careful.”
“Thanks,” Sirius says, giving Remus an amused look. “After having ordered it about twenty times already, that hadn't occurred to me yet.”
Remus immediately hands Sirius his cappuccino as he walks in that afternoon. He's got cacao powder stains on his apron, whipped cream on his cheek, cookie crumble in his hair, and a bewildered look in his eyes, making him look like a very cute mess.
Sirius arches an eyebrow. “You're not gonna try to push one of your Holiday Specials on me?”
Remus shakes his head. “I feel like I've made enough moccaccinos, frappuccinos, chococcinos, hazelnuccinos, or whatever kind of ccinos for the rest of my life. If you ordered one, I might have actually refused.”
“Well, not to worry,” Sirius says, taking a sip from his drink. “And here I thought my impeccable argumentation had convinced you.”
“Well, the motorcycle was a strong argument,” Remus says, leaning over the counter, resting his head on his hand. “Guess there's a whole other side of you outside of this coffeeshop that I do not know yet,” he murmurs, looking at Sirius intently.
Sirius tries to school his expression into something more collected than how he feels on the inside, because yet? Does that mean Remus wants to get to know him while he's not just doing his job? And god, must he be looking at him like that?
“Well, yeah,” Sirius says, surprising himself with how normal his voice comes out. “I suppose there is more to me than double shot cappuccinos.”
Remus smirks. “Who would've thought?”
“Excuse me?”
Remus jumps, only now noticing the woman standing at the counter. He quickly rushes to her. “Hi, yes, I'm sorry, how can I help you?”
Sirius finishes his coffee and slips on his jacket, staring at Remus, who's still having a conversation with the woman about the difference between a latte and a flat white. He's trying to work up enough courage.
“You!” Remus suddenly says, pointing his finger at Sirius while the woman walks away with her gingerbread latte. “You're not thinking about leaving without showing me, are you?” He turns his hand around and wiggles his finger, beckoning Sirius over. “Come on, let me see, let me see!”
Sirius rolls his eyes fondly as he walks over to Remus. “I wouldn't dare,” he says, as he whips his phone out of his pocket and opens his photos.
Remus eagerly looks at the screen. “Oh my, did Purrkins get her fur brushed? What a lovely lady!”
“She did, and she was quite the drama queen about it.” Sirius rolls his eyes. “You'd think we were trying to torture her.”
“Look how proud Bowie looks!”
“Well, he was a really good boy and found two sticks in the yard!”
“And who’s that fuzzy ball of fluff?”
“That's Myta! She was brought in today, and already made many friends.”
“And there's our dynamic duo!”
“Yes, little Adrian and his big brother Bram are still as inseparable as ever.”
“Oh! Is… Is this what I think it is?”
“It is! Siepie got adopted today!”
Remus sighs deeply as Sirius has swipes to the last photo. “God, I envy your job. I mean,” he adds quickly. “I know it's not always fun and very hard work as well.”
“I guess it is,” Sirius says. “But everytime I walk in and see those faces, it more than makes up for it.”
“That's what my friend who works in kindergarten always says,” Remus says. “But I could never quite imagine. In this case, though, I immediately believe it.”
Sirius grins. “Wanna quit this job and come volunteer in the shelter with me?”
“Too bad,” Remus says. “Getting paid is a non-negotiable for my job.”
“You'll get paid in cuteness!” Sirius insists.
“Cuteness doesn't pay college tuition, I'm afraid.” Remus chuckles. “Otherwise you'd be studying for free.”
Sirius opens and closes his mouth.
Remus turns bright red and runs a hand through his hair. “I… Erm, I mean…” He claps his hands. “Well, I better get cleaning! Considering my brain-to-mouth-filter apparently stopped working, I must be very tired. I should start closing up.”
“You know,” Sirius quickly says. “If you really want to know more about me outside of this coffeeshop, my chosen family is hosting a Christmas Eve party. Maybe you'd like to come?”
“Christmas Eve?” Remus replies. “Oh, I'm sorry. I already promised my mum that I'd go to this event with her on Christmas Eve.”
Sirius face falls. “Right. Of course. It's short notice, after all. Well, better luck next time.” Sirius turns to walk away.
“Sirius!” Remus grabs his wrist. “I really am sorry.”
Sirius looks down at Remus’ hand and then up to his face. “It's okay. It's Christmas Eve. You can't cancel on your mum, of course.”
Remus bites his lip. “Would you think me a terrible person if I kind of wish I could?”
Sirius smiles. “Your secret’s safe with me.”
“That's amazing, mate!” James beams at him.
“We should not get ahead of ourselves,” Sirius warns. “I mean, he did say no.”
“But he obviously wanted to say yes!” James exclaims, grinning broadly.
“He did, didn't he?” Sirius’ face also breaks out into a grin. “I mean, he wouldn't have called me back to emphasize how sorry he was if he was just trying to blow me off.”
“Definitely not,” James assures him. “He's totally into you, just really couldn't make it. And now he knows you're interested, so nothing should be stopping him from asking you out next! Which is good, as the sooner we know if it's going to work out with coffeeshop guy, the better. Lily's friend is single now, but he won't be forever. Ow!” James rubs his arm where Sirius just punched him. “But of course I'm rooting for you!” He adds, upon seeing the glare Sirius is directing at him. “I'm just saying, it's a shame Lily's friend can't make it to the party either. It would've been good if you could've at least gotten to meet him before completely making up your mind on coffeeshop guy.”
Sirius lies back on the bed, folding his arms behind his head, staring up at the ceiling. “I hate to break it to you, Jamie, but my mind is already completely made up on coffeeshop guy.”
James looks at Sirius and shakes his head. “You're really gone for him, aren't you?”
Sirius sighs. “I can't bloody stop thinking about him.”
“Good heavens,” James says. “You're down bad!”
“I'm glad mum's library boy couldn't make it to the party either,” Sirius says. “Now the only person I have to politely reject is Hope Lupin’s son. Though maybe he's completely mortified about his mother's meddling and isn't even into me at all,” he adds hopefully.
“Wouldn't count on it mate,” James says, lying down next to him. “A single gay guy seeing you and deciding he's not interested? That happened exactly never.”
Sirius groans, and James pats his leg sympathetically.
“I'm not even trying to boost your ego here. You know the effect you have when you walk into a room.”
Okay, so maybe Sirius does kind of know the effect he has when he walks into a room. Giggling, admiring glances, lingering looks, that sort of thing, but he had not exactly expected to have that effect on the middle-aged and elderly women of town.
At the Potters’ grand Christmas Eve party, it seems like every single one of them is stopping him. “Oh my, Sirius Black? Is that you? Look at you! My dear, you get more handsome every year! Say, is there a special someone in your life already?”
This is mostly followed by them listing all their children or grandchildren who are still single, while Sirius tries to politely get away before they whip out the photos. He's grateful that at least he hasn't run into Hope Lupin yet, shoving her son in his face. Photos are easier to get away from than an actual person, after all.
When talking to seventy-five-year-old Mrs Markell, she hadn't even been mentioning any grandchildren, and Sirius is wholly unprepared when she suddenly takes a stack of photos out of her purse, with no chance for him to get away on time. But it turns out she heard Sirius is studying to become a vet, and she just wants to show him pictures of her beloved dog, Mr Barkell. And well, Sirius is definitely here for that.
“Oh my god, what a handsome fella indeed!” Sirius is just gushing over Mr Barkell in his brand new Christmas sweater, knitted by Mrs Markell herself when he hears a familiar voice.
“Sirius?”
He looks up and immediately feels his heart speed up, because Remus in an apron is adorable, but Remus in a button-up and suit jacket? Good god. “Remus?” He manages to say. “What are you doing here? I thought you had that thing with your mum?”
Remus looks just as surprised as he does while gesturing around himself. “This is the thing with my mum.”
Sirius blinks. “Your mum took you to our Christmas Eve party?”
“Apparently,” Remus says, smiling sheepishly.
Suddenly, Euphemia’s voice can be heard. “Remus!”
“Msr Euphemia?” Remus stammers.
“You're here! Oh, how lovely.” Euphemia gives Remus a warm hug, before playfully slapping his shoulder. “And you made me think you couldn't make it, you,” she tuts.
“You know Remus?” Sirius asked, stunned.
Euphemia rolls her eyes. “Why, of course I know Remus! I've been trying to introduce you to him for ages! Ever since this adorable boy walked into my library,” she says fondly, squeezing Remus’ arm.
Before Sirius can say anything else, another voice sounds. “Oh no, you two are already talking!” Hope Lupin rushes up to them. “And I wanted to be the one to introduce you two!”
Euphemia frowns. “Why did you want to introduce Remus to Sirius?”
Hope blinks. “...Remus is my son?”
“Remus from the library is your son?” Euphemia exclaims.
The two women stare at each other for a moment, and then they burst out laughing. “Can you believe it…?” “This whole time…” “We were just trying to get Sirius together with the same person!”
Remus’ cheeks turn bright red. “Mum!”
“Remus! Mate! You're here!” Sirius probably shouldn't even be surprised anymore to see James running up to Remus and slinging an arm around him. “Lily said you already had other plans, but I'm super glad you made it after all!”
James lets go of Remus and walks up to Sirius, grabbing his arm and pulling him forward. “Have you met Sirius yet?”
“Yes,” Remus replies, looking a bit dazed. “As a matter of fact, I have.”
Sirius stares at him and opens and closes his mouth a few times before managing to produce words. “You're library boy, and Hope Lupin’s son, and Lily's friend?”
“Wait, really?” James speaks before Remus can reply. “Are you serious, Sirius? That's all the same person? All Remus?” He starts laughing and clasps Sirius on the shoulder. “I know how head over heels in love you are with your coffeeshop guy, but mate, this sort of seems like fate, doesn't it?”
Now it's Sirius’ face that turns bright red, as Remus raises his eyebrows. “James!” Sirius hisses.
James looks from Sirius, to Remus, and back again and his eyes widen. “What? Do you mean… No way!” He gasps. “Are you for real? That's insane, mate! Insane, but also kind of amazing. Wow, this best man's speech is going to write itself!”
“James!”
“So,” Sirius begins, staring up at the night sky after Remus and he have stepped outside for a moment to talk. "Apparently, everyone in my life has been trying to set me up with you.”
“Yeah,” Remus says, awkwardly scratching his head. “Sorry about that.”
“Don't be,” Sirius says, turning to him to look him in the eyes. “I must admit, I kind of like that everyone in our lives saw you, saw me, and all had the same thought: these two should be together.”
The smile Remus gives him makes Sirius feel warm even in the December cold. Remus reaches out his hand. “Including us?”
Sirius smiles back at him as he takes the offered hand. “Yeah, we beat them to it, didn't we?” He squeezes Remus’ hand softly. “Including us.”

Chapter 28: If You Want BIood (You’ve Got It)
You were walking through the dark halls, wand raised with a lumus charm so you could see better. You already knew the path you had to follow, it was almost exactly the same one that you used to get to the fireworms but a little further and then 3 lefts and 2 rights.
You wouldn’t say you’d pride yourself on your sense of direction, you had gotten lost in the castle more than once, but you had been in the passageways so often, and you had explored them and gotten lost in them just as many times. You had already taken three lefts and were about to take a right when Sirius appeared in front of you.
“Oh hey–“ You started, but were cut off by the way he scooped you into his arms, hugging you tightly, he leaned his head on the crook of your neck.
“Missed you,” he whispered into your hair.
You frowned, what’s gotten into him? “I saw you in the morning.”
“But you sat far away,” he whined. You frowned but finally hugged him back. It’s not that you didn’t like when Sirius was clingy, in fact, you loved it. But most of the time he got clingy it was because something was up.
Could it be because of your wound? But he had known about it for a week, and he hadn’t been this clingy earlier. In fact, he’d been a lot more concerned and serious about it. Yeah worried, and definitely a little touchy when you fell asleep on his bed, but not clingy. You noticed he was still nozzled in your neck after a couple of minutes, and felt how he took a deep breath “Are you smelling me?” you asked in disbelief, a teasing smile slowly creeping up your mouth.
He pulled away, a sly little smile on his lip. Am I really the one that’s a fox? You wondered as his smile widened to a grin, “Got a problem with it trésor?”
You almost rolled your eyes, you had let it slip that you liked it when he spoke French to you and he was making a conscious effort to fluster you about it whenever he had the chance. “Non, mon coquin,” you replied with a little smirk.
He gasped “Take that back!”
“Is it not accurate?” you teased again.
“Oi! I swear if you–“
“Everything all right?” You heard Remus’ conciliating voice from behind.
“She called me coquin!” Sirius complained with a pout. Looking an awful lot like a small child.
He looks adorable, both you and Remus thought.
“So?” Remus asked, he did not speak much French.
You giggled and placed your hand on his shoulder, he leaned towards you “It means rascal, naughty or… mischief.”
Remus nodded and turned back to Sirius. “I’d say it’s accurate,” he said with a shrug.
You covered your mouth with your hands and attempted to hold back a laugh. “Moony!” Sirius complained, “don’t back her up! I was trying to be cute-“
You shook your head, “–he was trying to fluster me.”
Remus wasn’t sure what he was doing in the middle of such a silly discussion, but since both you and Sirius looked absolutely adorable, he wasn’t sure he cared too much “How come?”
“I called her trésor.” Remus looked at him expectantly. “It means treasure,” Sirius clarified.
Well, that one’s accurate as well, he thought before he spoke again “Well you’re both mo chailleachan àlainn.” He placed both arms over your and Sirius’ shoulders and prompted you to continue your way.
“Hold up! You’re back at it with the Gaelic?”
“That was Gaelic?” Sirius asked, “No wonder I understood shit.”
Remus shrugged and then with a cheeky little smile responded “You understood it perfectly then.”
Sirius gasped again, turning to Remus just a little, “You wouldn’t dare!”
“Wouldn’t I?” He asked again, pulling Sirius’ shoulder so he would turn back to the front. You just laughed.
“Yeah chachan àlain,” you mocked. Remus laughed at your miserable attempt to speak Gaelic.
“If I’m a chaillchan àlainn so are you!” Sirius argued. “He said it to the both of us.”
Remus sniggered “Indeed, you’re both my chailleachan àlainn,” the way the words rolled off his tongue made it sound as sexy as Sirius’ french.
You elbowed him, and he played hurt. But his fun lasted until the three of you fell into a comfortable silence and his mind started to wonder. Reprimanding himself for calling you what he had, had either of them actually understood, he thought. Of course, Remus knew neither spoke Gaelic, but sometimes words were similar and both you and Sirius spoke like 5 different languages in between each other. He had been stupid.
And more stupid than that, he was just casually hugging the two of you as you walked, not that either seemed to mind. Sirius had a bit of a frown but that was because he thought he’d been called a “shit”, you on the other hand, had a diverted look on your face as you leaned slightly into Remus’ shoulder, clearly pleased over the fact that he had sided with you. But he felt too content, too joyful, it felt –even if it was just for a second– like he could have the two of you, and that you’d be happy to have him as well.
He felt like it was the Halloween Party all over again and you both had your hands all over him, no restrictions attached, the three of you high to the heavens with that euphoric potion. Yes, it was delightful, but at the same time, it was torment. Torment because he knew he couldn’t just give in to his delusional fantasies, torment because he knew there was a limit to how close he could be to the two of you before either noticed, torment because his mind kept telling him to get away. Still, his body refused, refused to let go, refused to stop feeling your warmth. And he had been the one to place himself in that situation this time around.  Perhaps, it was he who was the cailleachan in the end.
Either way, he didn’t step away, he knew it would be more suspicious if he did, so he kept his arms around yours and Sirius’ shoulders, careful not to touch the section he had scratched.
“Took you long enough,” the three of you heard Prongs’ voice once you arrived at the meeting point.
“They were having a domestic fight.”
You gasped at that, “It was a small quarrel.”
“No, it wasn’t! You called me a–“
“But you are a…“
“–Guys?” you heard Peter’s voice rise a little as he tried to gather everyone’s attention, interrupting the two of you “Can we discuss your quarrels later on? We don’t have all night.”
“It wasn’t a quarrel,” Sirius muttered to himself. Remus had already stepped away from the two as he went to talk to James and you closed the gap between you and your boyfriend, extending your hand to chase his.
“Hey mischief?” you said, trying to get his attention. He gave you a side look. You leaned your head on his shoulder. “You did hear what I said, right?” He turned his head to you, eyebrows raised like, telling you with his face that he most definitely had, “Yeah, but did you really listen?”
“Yes, it was very clear when you called me coquin.”
You shook your head and leaned into him, to be able to whisper in his ear “I called you mon coquin.”
He turned to you with agape, a silent scoff rolling off his pretty lips. “Oh, so now you’re claiming ownership over me,” he teased, a smile plastered on his face.
“Well, if the shoe fits…” you replied, mirroring his smile.
He pulled you closer to him, brushing his lips against your earlobe before he spoke “Est-ce que ça fait de toi mon trésor?”
Your mouth went dry and you shivered, bIood rushing through your cheeks so fast you weren’t sure you’d be able to play it cool afterwards. Regardless you tried, leaning in closer to his own ear and actually biting his earlobe before speaking again. “Je peux être tout ce que tu veux que je sois…”
“Love puppies, time to focus, please,” James said when he noticed the way Sirius’ eyes had shone. He may or may not have been afraid of what the two of you would have done if he hadn’t stopped you.
You turned to James with a smile and nodded. Remus had averted his gaze, your back was to him, so you didn’t notice, but Sirius did, and he almost felt a pang in his chest when he realised Remus’ slightly bitter reaction. Well, he had felt the pang, but he pretended like he hadn’t. It made no sense for it to be there. You were his girlfriend and Remus was just Remus. Same Remus he’d always been, except that he wasn’t making him feel the same way he always had. His hand settled on your back as the two of you walked closer to Peter, who had the map in a hold.
“So, I’ll get in first and eavesdrop on the password. That way we know what it is. Then the four of you will get in through the door with the cloak on.”
“We won’t fit,” Remus said, remembering how close he had stood to Sirius in the library the previous night.
“Yeah, we thought about that yesterday while you were making the potions,” James spoke and then turned to you “You’re gonna have to turn into Vixen and let us carry you.”
You looked at James for a second, blinking as you processed the information, and then shrugged. “Okay, just be careful when you pick me up.”
James nodded in response, and Peter continued speaking. “Great, once we’re in, we’ll just sneak into their dorms and we’ll help you and Remus with the hex bags.”
“We’re not going to get anyone that’s not on the list,” you said as you looked at them, it was something between a question and a statement. You just wanted them to confirm it. Everyone nodded, except for Sirius, who looked a bit vexed. You threw him a look. “I have friends in Slytherin, you have friends in Slytherin. We can’t punish them all just because of a few assholes are in the same house.”
“They’ve been messing with you since you got here, Starshine.”
“Yes!” you agreed. “A small little group of them have. Not every single one.”
He looked to the side but eventually nodded , “Fine then. Just them.”
“Such a good boy,” Peter teased, in the same tone you’d use for a dog and Sirius almost hexed him. Which just had you all laugh.
“Everyone’s against me tonight,” he complained.
“I’m not,” James said as he placed an arm over Sirius, you gave Remus a diverted little smile, and he returned it with a bit of a shrug. “You’re our best boy after all,” James said, using the same tone Peter had used earlier, and making the rest of you laugh.
Sirius looked at James shocked, like he had been betrayed by his friend. He then removed James’ arm from his shoulders and lagged behind until he was beside you, you leaned towards him a little. “It’s all right Puppy, I’ll make it up to you later.”
He gave you a coquettish little smirk, “You promise?”
You almost rolled your eyes at his lightning-fast change of behaviour, he had never even been actually upset, but decided to humour him instead “Oui, mon amour.”
“I understood that!” James said teasingly.
You just chuckled, “As if it were a secret.”
Sirius’s smile widened. Yes, that was right, he was your love.
Once you reached the end of the passage, just a few metres away from the entrance to the Slytherin Common Room Peter shrunk into Wormtail and disappeared through the door. You looked at him go, still fascinated by how the animgus transformation was so seamless. Yes, you were one yourself, but it’s not like you’d ever seen yourself transform. It had never even occurred to you that the process would be so interesting.
And you were also thinking of how different it was to Remus’ transformation. His was painful, at least you assumed that it was since it had seemed pretty bad when he transformed back in the shack. You still remembered the way he’d yelped and bawled as his skin ripped and gave away to the wolf. The memory caused a shiver to run down your spine.
“You cold?” you heard Remus whisper after he leaned towards you. You all had to be a lot more quiet now that you were close to the Slytherin common room. But the three of you had sat down in the hallway. You were on one side, with Sirius and Remus on each of your side, and James was in front of the three of you, Sirius had been leaning towards the front to be able to talk to him.
“Me?” you asked as you turned to Rem. “No, no. It was more of a… It was just… nervousness,” you lied in the end.
“You’re nervous?” he asked with a bit of a frown, emphasising the “you” as if he didn’t believe it was possible.
“Well, I’ve never sneaked into someone else's dorms to cause havoc,” you argued, digging yourself deeper into your lie. “It’s only natural that I would-“
He shook his head, “That’s not it. I know you, Miss Let’s Add The 100-year-old Veom Instead.”
Sometimes it was annoying how well Remus could read you. You sighed, “well, I’m not nervous, but I’m not cold either. Let’s leave it at that?” He tilted his head to the side as if analysing the situation before nodding, you pulled your feet towards your chest and rested your head over your knees. “You think he’ll take much longer?”
“He has to wait for most of them to be asleep. We can’t risk the door opening up and having no one get in.”
“We should have just gotten Slytherin ties and walked inside like we were part of them…” you huffed.
Remus chuckled “As if the entire school didn’t already know the faces and names of three of the Gryffindor Quidditch Players.”
“Polyjuice potion?”
“And you just have that one around?”
“Well, we made a pretty good one with Slughorn at the beginning of the year...”
“Maybe we should have kept some of it in a vase before handing it over.”
“I did,” you said casually.
Remus looked eyebrows shot upwards as he looked at you, trying to decide if you were joking or not, “You did?!?”
You nodded, “it’s safe and sound on my trunk, in case we ever need it.”
Remus had opened his mouth to speak again when you saw Wormtail returning through the small hole in the wall. He quickly turned, he was still crouching when he turned back, his teeth slowly shrinking to their normal size, which was already a little big for his face.
“It’s emerald enigma,” he whispered, loud enough for the four of you to listen.
You raised your eyebrow, “emerald enigma? really?!?”
“Slytherins aren’t ever particularly clever with their passwords,” James said.
“Once upon a time it was clever schemes,” Sirius said as he turned to you.
You looked at him even more shocked and  Remus nodded beside the two of you.
“Time to go then,” James said. Peter was a rat in seconds, and then it was your turn. Just seconds afterwards, you had already turned into your own animagus form and walked towards Sirius’ lap. It’s not that you were certain he’d be the one carrying you, but it made sense.
“Hey Kit,” he said softly as he allowed you to climb over one of his legs and then wrapped his hand under your belly, picking you up as he stood, and then placing his other arm underneath so you felt more secure. You leaned your head on his chest and paid attention to the reaction of the boys. Remus was wrapping the cloak around James and Sirius, while James had leaned closer to you and was staring at you from the side.
James had never seen a fox up close, well he had seen you back at the full moon but it wasn’t the same thing. He seemed genuinely interested, but when he extended his hand to touch you, Sirius pulled back protectively, accidentally crashing into Remus. “Oi!” James complained as he stared.
“She’s still hurt,” Sirius said defensively.
“But she likes to be rubbed behind the ear,” offered Remus.
Sirius nodded, the fact that Remus knew, or how he knew, didn’t even cross his mind. James looked directly at you “May I?”
You didn’t hiss, or emit any other protest sound, so he leaned his hand again, staring at Sirius for permission. Your boyfriend nodded, a little apprehensive still and James pressed his hand onto your head. He was soft, like he was with cats, but then he scratched you the same way Padfoot liked being scratched and all of your hair stood on end.
Involuntarily you turned your head towards him and opened your mouth to bite, your snout was already around his wrist when you realised what you were doing and pulled back, being helped by Sirius who also pulled you back. You looked at James and he had an apologetic look in his face, you too looked like you were sorry for trying to bite him.
“Sorry,” the boy whispered, you nodded and that was that. James did not try to pet you again, at least not for a while, he’d seen how sharp your teeth were.
Remus finished arranging the cloak around the three of them Sirius and you had ended up in the middle, James and Remus on each side, they were all standing pretty close to each other as the three walked outside of the hideout and towards the dungeons. You saw the potions classroom,  the boys passed by it as you stared around carefully, as a fox your senses were a lot better than theirs, except perhaps for Remus’ so you kept a close eye on the boy in case either you or him, heard something that would require you to warn them about something.
Eventually, you reached the bare wall that would lead you to the Slytherin Dorms, you felt excitement piling up in the form of a knot in your stomach. You’d wanted to see their dorm for a while now. You had already seen the Ravenclaw and yours, obviously, and for some reason, the goal to sneak into all the different common rooms prowled into your head.
“Emerald Enigma,” James whispered towards the door and slowly the bricks from the wall started moving and opening into a relatively long passageway. The four of you stared ahead, paying close attention to the way the bricks moved and stepped forward as soon as they could comfortably fit through the door. The passageway opened into a rather long room, the ceiling was clearly very high above you, making the place feel almost nothing like the dungeons. In fact, you’d go as far as to say that it felt more like a palace since it was rather regal. The windows were looking straight to the black lake, with a few water creatures passing swiftly through them every now and then, it looked rather peaceful, which you wouldn’t have ever imagined the dungeons to be.
The boys, who had to actually pay attention to where they were going, and who clearly had been there before, weren’t as awed as you were, in fact, they looked a lot more on edge, as they were checking all around the common room to make sure it was empty. Still, Remus and James continued to hold the cloak tightly, to make sure it wouldn’t fall, tumble or get caught into something.
Once they were sure it was mostly empty, Remus removed the cloak from atop of you, and Sirius laid you gently on the ground. You turned back in a matter of seconds. “The boy’s dorms are to the left,” Sirius informed. “Barty’s number 15, he’s with Regulus.”
“Evan, Snape and Mulciber are on the 24th,” you said. Sirius turned to you with a frown, as if asking how you knew, you shrugged, “I got it from Minho.”
Sirius’ frown deepened “You asked him?”
“Of course I didn’t straight up ask him, It’d be too suspicious, although I’m sure Minho wouldn’t rat us out.” On purpose, you thought, after all, he had been the reason you concluded Remus was probably bi, or maybe pan.
“So how?”
“A magician never reveals her secrets,” you said with a sly smile. It really hadn’t been a particularly smart conversation that you’d had. You just mentioned that Mary was telling you about the power of numbers and that she thought our room numbers had significance. It was partially true, at least she did talk to you about the power of numbers, after divination a couple of weeks ago. You then told Minho your room number and the boys and he started sharing all of the Slytherin ones you knew.
He hummed in response, “Fine then, we split.”
“That’s the worst idea ever.”
“No, it’d be faster,” James added.
“You’ve never seen a horror movie, have you?”
Remus smiled, he understood exactly what you were referring to, and then leaned a little closer to you. “Don’t worry, you’re already hanging out with the most dangerous monster in the castle,” he joked.
You turned to him, almost a little surprised by his statement, “Who knows, maybe there are vampires hidden somewhere, or acromantulas, or basilisks, or magical armours that want to cut you in half.”
“You need to tone it down with the fantasy books Vixen,” James said with a teasing smile, “you and Sirius go to Barty’s. We’ll go to Snivellus', Peter, look out. Deal?”
You huffed, but nodded, “Keep the cloak,” you said before casting a disillusionment over yourself and Sirius. Remus, who had heard from Sirius how good your charm was, was still somewhat shocked by it. It really was almost as good as James' invisibility cloak, unless he paid really, really close attention.
“Damn she’s–“
“Really fucking good, I know!” Sirius finished. You handed a small bag to Remus, who took it as it slowly became visible.
“I’ve kept what I’ll need, use the rest,” you told him, and finally split ways. You and Sirius moved to Barty’s room.
“Alohomora,” he whispered, along with a silencing charm so the door wouldn’t creak. Four boys were soundly sleeping on each of their beds. The first one you spotted was someone you instantly recognized and you gasped, covering your mouth when you realised you had been a bit too loud.
Sirius threw you a look and walked closer, “It’s Nox,” you whispered, the muffliato you had used earlier helping you be as stealthy as possible, “from the reading club, didn’t know he was Barty’s roommate. He hangs out with Neil and Todd most of the time.”
It’s not like Srius didn’t know you had friends other than your friend group, but it was sometimes weird that you knew people in the castle he barely even recognized. “Want me to add a ward around him?”
You thought about it for a second, and nodded “We really should,” you said “I don’t want the prank to affect him…”
“What about the rest?”
You turned around, there was a silver-blond haired boy who you didn’t actually recognize, Sirius leaned closer to you and pointed at the boy, “Solacis Gaunt, he’s close to Reg and Barty,” he said as he pointed.
“Gaunt as in…?” You turned to him, in disbelief.
“Yeah…”
You bit your lip, even if this Solacis was friends with Barty and his group, he hadn’t been there that night, and you had no idea how he would have reacted, and regarding his last name, well you refused to believe that was any sign of people’s character. After all, you being who you were and Sirius being who he was, had never actually altered your actual selves… What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, you remembered. “We’ll ward him too.”
“And Regulus?” he asked, you could see the apprehension in his voice. You turned to the boy, last time you saw him he had tried to approach you in a friendly manner and you’d blown him off. Being asleep he looked so unguarded, so little preoccupied as his chest rose up and down, you almost felt bad for the way you had treated him. But then you remembered what he had done and the anger boiled back up to your chest. He had knowingly betrayed you and Sirius, all those lost years…
You had two hex bags, you could easily slip one under his pillow as well, have him suffer the fright of his life, bring him down to desperate cries, overpowered, helpless. But Regulus had stayed on the sidelines, he had tried to stay out of your way since that time at the race when you basically told him to piss off. It was like he had been trying to make you less uncomfortable, even if it pained him, not that you knew. But you did notice that you saw him around a lot less, he avoided you, and even if he did stare at you and Sirius from the sidelines, he never even dared to accidentally cross paths. That you had noticed.
And laying there, his head resting on his pillow, his hair pulled back revealing his delicate features, he looked every bit a Black, every bit like his brother. You took a deep breath, it was in his graceful nose, in his long dark lashes, in his thin, pinky lips. All of those features that drew you to Sirius, the things that made your boyfriend as beguiling as a Siren’s call. They really are brothers, you thought. And how? How would you be able to hurt him? What he did had been years ago, and he had been a kid too, pressured by his parents. It’s not that you wanted to be friends again, but you didn’t want to cause him sorrow either. “He’ll too be warded off.”
Sirius frowned, “But after what…”
You turned to him, your dark expression clearly telling him you knew exactly what he had done, even if he could barely see it due to your spell. “He was not there that night. He didn’t do this to me,” you said, pointing to your wound, “this isn’t about some old grudge we have against him, this about Monday. This about what happened that night and the people that allowed this bastard to do it,” you said, giving Crouch a short glance “And Sirius, he is your brother.”
He swallowed, “He’s a Black.” Every bit a Black, you recalled your earlier thought. You also wondered how such a messed up gene pool could make such beautiful children.
“You are one too,” you whispered as you walked closer, “and I still, I lo- like you very much. Every bit of you,” you added in the end and pressed a few kisses to his face for good measure, perhaps he would have missed the slip of your tongue. Not that you didn’t mean it, but you wouldn’t expect Sirius to comprehend it, you’d barely been dating for a few months. “You’re still my Puppy, no matter what last name you have.”
Sirius gave you one long look and smiled when you kissed his nose, placing both hands around your face to bring your lips to his, he had heard the slip of your tongue, and it only made him want to kiss you even more. When you finally separated for air, he was the first one to speak. “I’m gonna have to kiss you again if you keep it up with the sappy stuff,” he joked.
You raised your eyebrows at that and then placed your finger over his lips, “You have a terrible habit of kissing me in the middle of stealth missions.”
“What do you mean I have the– You’re literally the one that starts it!” he added with an accusing finger.
“Yeah but you always kiss back,” you shrugged.
He gave you a diverted look as he bit his lip, and leaned in again, you leaned in as well, but he stopped right before your lips crashed against each other and smirked, “yeah, I’m not the only one who’s eager to kiss back.” You pushed his chest playfully as you narrowed your eyes at him, and then you heard Nox stir on his bed. The two of you leaned down and gave each other a look.
Both realising how stupid you had been by flirting –and making out– in the middle of the room where you were supposed to place the hex bags. You gave each other a look and almost chuckled. If Remus had been here, we would have stopped us, you thought, he’s the most reasonable of this bunch. And perhaps Remus would have, but only because he wasn’t able to join you.
When Nox finally stopped, you took a deep breath and both stood again. “Warding, I’ll place this.”
Sirius nodded and the two of you started with your tasks. You walked to Barty’s bed and smirked when you realised how easy this would be. You took a deep breath and leaned over the boy. Asleep, he didn’t look as wicked as he did on a daily basis. There was no sneer on his face and he almost looked peaceful. Not for long, you thought as you bit your lip to stop yourself from chuckling. You took a deep breath and raised his pillow slightly, placing the hex bag in its place. Then you looked at the leftover bag and decided to place it under his pillow as well. You shrugged, the more the merrier.
He instantly stirred on the bed, a small frown appearing on his face as his breath quickened. Let's see how you liked being scared, you thought and turned to Sirius. He was just finishing with his castings. He gave you a questioning look and you nodded, the two of you slid out of the bedroom as soon as possible. As you got out you spotted James and Remus just below the stairs, giving you questioning looks.
“What the hell took you so long?” James asked, “I thought there was only Barty there.”
“We had a bit of a pitfall, but we did it.” Sirius responded.
Yeah, making out is definitely a pitfall, you thought.
“We’re ready to go then?” Peter asked, he looked rather nervous.
Remus nodded, “We just have to make sure Jackdaw does his…”
At that moment, from all the different walls, ghosts started sliding in, you smiled, Richie had actually convinced them. He approached your group with a smile, “You owe them some rotten meat,” he informed.
“Rotten meat, that’s all it took? Should’ve told me sooner, I’ll take you all the rotten food you want,” you replied. He gave you a wink and flew towards the rest of the ghosts.  Sirius frowned at the flirty wink from Jackdaw but didn’t say a thing.
“Job’s done kiddos,” James said, and Remus pulled the cloak out. All of you stifled inside and walked together until you were away from prying eyes. You all knew it wouldn’t be a good idea to turn into your animagus in front of the ghosts. The muggle saying “silent as the dеad” couldn’t be further from the truth.
Once you were in the hall that led to the inside of the common room, and that both Moony and Prongs made sure there was no one watching, you and Peter turned at once. Sirius picked you up and held you in his arms, while Moony adjusted the cloak to make sure it was covering everyone up and finally, you left the common room.
That’s where things went south. Just as the bricks opened themselves again someone was walking inside. The three boys took a step to the side as Slughorn walked in. The three leaned against the wall, Sirius carefully squeezed you, or Vixen, against his chest, so you occupied as little space as possible. You noticed Peter trying to distract Slughorn by walking near his feet, but he still seemed focused on walking in, the first thing he noticed was the ghosts making their own little mess, the main distraction.
Thankfully the headless hunt was not about to be deterred by one teacher, and they continued with their task as Slughorn called for help. This wasn’t meant to be now, it should’ve been later. You turned to look at the boys, they all had apprehensive stares, you could practically smell their stress as they finally unglued their backs from the wall and started walking towards the hallway. Once in the dungeons, and away from the havoc you had caused, you thought you were safe. And perhaps you would’ve been, had Evan not been coming back from the infirmary so late.
He pretty much bumped into the invisible wall that was your three friends, and all would have been fine, except for the fact that he straight-up stepped on James’ feet and he grunted in response.
“Potter?” Evan asked, instantly recognizing his voice.
Fuck.
Evan extended his hand to grab onto the front but the boys pulled back just in time. Regardless, Evan didn’t relent, “Potter I know it’s you. Either you come the fuck out or I’ll hex your stupid rat,” he said, pulling a screeching Peter out of his pocket. James swallowed and gave each Sirius and Remus a look; you tried to jump down from Sirius’s grasp, perhaps you could distract Evan by biting him while Peter escaped, but Sirius tightened his hold as you tried to squirm away. He knew what you were thinking, but he also knew Evan could just kick you out of the way, and he was not going to risk you being hurt by his hands again.
Evan pointed his long and thin wand towards Wormtail and you felt everyone tense even more. “Come on Jamesie, you wouldn’t allow me to kill your stupid rat, would you?” he added. “How much damage do you think a confringo like the one your stupid little friend used on me earlier today would cause? Hmmm… Perhaps I could use him as target practice…” Evan tilted his head, “No?” he asked again, “well then,” he added and adjusted his wand in his hand. Peter shrieked again, “We’ll see if your stupid rat ends up better or worse than your friend after the Shrieking Shack.”
To your surprise, it wasn’t James who jumped to protect Peter, but it was Sirius. He handed you over to James who barely managed to react and grab you before he left the cloak and planted his fist on Evan’s face. Peter fell from his hands and shrieked as his face crashed onto the floor just before running off.
Evan staggered back, reeling from the sheer force of Sirius’ punch but he retaliated, shoving Sirius with eager ferocity as if he had been longing for a challenge. One where he actually won. Evan was much taller and broader than Sirius, and you squirmed in James’ arms yearning to intervene but he held you firmly, casting down an impatient glance before turning his attention back to the boys.
Evan managed to land a solid on Sirius’ jaw, but the longer-haired boy didn’t even flinch, instead he used the momentum and the loss of balance from Evan to throw himself towards his opponent, effectively managing to throw the blonde on the ground. You winced as Evan turned the two of them around and started hitting Sirius’ defenceless face.
In response to the escalating violence, James panicked –handing you over to Remus who cradled you with a lot more consideration– and he too left the cloak, leaving only you and the werewolf inside. However, Sirius had already managed to turn things around, he had started to punch Evan repeatedly in the face. James lunged forward to intervene, but he got accidentally elbowed by Sirius, who, swivelling in concern, was met with another punch from Evan.
When you figured James wouldn’t be able to stop them, you started squirming again, a lot more intensely now but Remus’ hold didn’t budge. So instead you turned back, which surprised the boy only for a second as you ended up pretty much shoved against him. You were just about to leave the cloak too when you heard a voice.
“STOOOP!”  Slughorn roared.
After looking at the man using his wand to pull Sirius and Evan apart, you were ready to jump out, but Remus’ strong arms tightened around you, not letting you out. You weren’t sure if it had been intentional or not, but somehow he hadn’t touched your wound while he did.
“Remus what–“ You started to complain, but he placed his hand over your mouth and started dragging you back and away from the upheaval.
You tried to fight it, but it was useless. Remus was much more stronger than you, once you were far away enough he whispered, “It’s okay, they’re okay.” You frowned, he must have felt how tense you were, because he continued talking, voice a lot more soothing now, “if I had let you out there, you would have achieved nothing other than getting punished along with them.”
You knew he was right, and yet that didn’t reduce the urge you had to bite him for talking your agency away. You jerked your shoulders in response, still angry, feeling a sharp pain in your arm that should have calmed you down, but Evan being such an ass to Peter had made you angry enough. Hitting your boyfriend in the face? You were actually considering hexing him again, intentionally this time around. You took a deep breath, you felt Remus’ hand brushing up and down over your good arm, still attempting to relieve your anger… And as much as you hated to admit it, it was distractingly relaxing.
You tried to shake him off one last time before completely relaxing into his arms. He leaned in closer to whisper again, “Remember I was telling you about not getting caught?” He asked. And waited for you to answer. His hand was still over your mouth, you raised your eyebrows at him. He gave you a look, not moving his hand away. And eventually, you just nodded. He was smart, he knew you well too, you could have screamed, you could still see Slughorn talking to Evan and the boys from where you stood.
You could have also bit him, force him to remove his hand from your face, but you had no intention of hurting Remus. Perhaps you didn’t want to get punished along them either, the more you thought about it, the more sense it made to try and stay in the sidelines and make sure the prank was completed, even if Prongs and Pads had gotten caught.
“Well, this is one of those moments in which staying behind, and in the quiet is best,” he said softly, vocalising your own thoughts. “James and Sirius are going to get detention regardless of whether you intervene or not. Trust me, I too wanted to punch Evan in the face after he said that about the Shrieking Shack but I knew it was best to hold back. I don’t think he would’ve hurt Peter.”
You wondered if Remus had seen or heard about the way his hands had dug into your skin that day in the Forbidden Forest, about the bruises Sirius later covered up with his kisses. Even then, some of the marks still fading in your skin, you didn’t think Evan would actually hurt Peter either, in fact, you weren’t even sure he had hurt you on purpose. That’s not something you would’ve said of Barty, he was completely unhinged.
Remus was still holding you flush against his body when he took a deep breath. He had felt how much more relaxed you were now, somehow his voice and his touch had gotten you to calm down.
He shouldn’t have been surprised, it wasn’t the first time it happened, but you had been so much more rilled up this time than back when the boys threw you and Sirius from your brooms that he wasn’t even sure if you’d forgive him for stopping you.
“I’m gonna take my hand away from your mouth, okay?” You nodded again, he did, and rested his forehead on your shoulder, sighing when he realised you really weren’t going to scream. “I’m sorry,” he added then, “shouldn’t have grabbed you like that.”
“It’s okay,” you said quietly, “I don’t mind it if you hold me Remus…” you mumbled. “I mean… Thank you.”
“What?!” he asked, baffled.
“You were right, it would have been stupid to join the fight. I wouldn’t have been able to do anything, I need to be more calm instead. Like I was in the library with the howler, like you. It’s just that Evan punching Sirius fucking vexed me.”
“I know…” he managed to say, me too, he thought. In fact, if you hadn’t been around, he might have actually been the person to throw punches after Sirius got the first one. Evan might have been taller and broader than your boyfriend, but he was no match against Remus, let alone if you factored in his werewolf strength.
You leaned back against him, the back of your head resting against his shoulder as you too sighed, “Does it always feel so terrible when a prank goes wrong?”
He hummed in response, “they’ll be all right, detention is just sitting in a classroom being bored or writing an essay most of the time… Don’t worry too much about them.”
“Feels bad that we’ll get out of this scots free but they won’t, though.”
“Survivors' guilt.”
You hummed, closing your eyes, “Thanks for holding me back,” you said again, “I don’t know what I’d do without you Rem.”
He stifled a laugh at that, you’d probably be more than fine without him. He, on the other hand… “Count on your good old werewolf friend to help you hold those murderous tendencies,” he joked. You actually laughed at that, and then covered your mouth with your hands, looking around.
“It’s all right, you can laugh, I cast a silencing spell,” he said, motioning to his hand with a small nod, he had his wand in a hold.
“Was that before or after you took your hand away from my mouth?” you asked. The guilty look on his face was hidden by your shoulder, but his lack of a straight answer gave him away regardless. “Dumbass, I wouldn’t have screamed, I’m not that reckless.”
“You literally left your wand on the floor with a werewolf in front of you. You ARE that reckless.”
“Well it wasn’t just any werewolf,” you said in self-defence, even if you were only digging yourself in a deeper hole. There was a comfortable silence and you sighed one last time, “We should finish up, the grand finale,” you said, finally separating from him, the lack of warmth almost made you shiver, “gotta make our boys proud, don’t we?”
He smiled, his eyes shimmering with mischief, “Let’s do it.”

Marauders & co - cooking skills hc
Remus and Sirius are both extremely lazy, they survive off of pot noodles and chocolate bars, and they don't really care about their diet lmao (Effie, Hope and James are appalled).
James knows 3 traditional meals his mother forced him to learn how to cook (a man should know how to feed himself and his family) and is hopeless in cooking anything else.
Regulus had a cooking obsession when he left his parents, he bought every cooking book, watched every cooking vids he could find, learned everything by himself. He loves to cook bc he can make very delicate and fancy meals (like him), and bc he's picky so he likes to know exactly what is in his plate. (also he mostly cooks French meals (obviously)) (James is utterly fascinated by his cooking process and always watches him)
Evan and Barty are also extremely lazy like wolfstar but they're also filthy rich bastards so they always order.
Pandora and Lily are obviously always cooking together, every meal is an excuse to spend time together it's way too cute. Between Lily's seriousness and skills and Pandora's eccentricity and ideas, it's also always delicious. They could open a vegan restaurant or something.
Mary is a queen who somehow always gets herself invited everywhere and almost never has to cook.
Marlene and Dorcas are trying to have cute cooking dates like Pandalily but Dorcas always ends up chasing Marlene out of the kitchen whe she burns herself or the food for the third time.
Peter eats cheese like the rat he is lmao.

i find it so cute that you and five have formed an alliance and discuss cock sizes of wolfstar like ten inches is even a common thing. why are you insistent on making sirius black so small in every way and remus so big. it’s unrealistic the idiot got that much right
Scooch in for me Anon we need a chat.
Firstly, you say all that with full bass and round it off by calling someone else an idiot. You brought that point to a home run my guy.
Secondly, Five and I have had several conversations relating to many a thing fandom related and not, as one who is capable of forming friendships (I know this might be difficult for you) often does, and yes one of those topics has been the size of Remus J. Lupin’s horse 🐓. Now, the point of you saying I, or we, are insistent on making Sirius’ everything smaller is bizarre to me as someone (you) with adequate enough reading skills to understand the ask of Five’s you’ve garnered this information from, I’m going to make the assumption you therefore have enough to read/view everything else on our pages. One of these things is that Five’s Sirius is exceptionally tiny in comparison to their Remus— their, Remus, their Sirius, and their work is of course going to reflect that. As a supporter of a good size difference, I’ve gobbled that up since the word go and supported Five’s vision through drooling over their story and making subsequent art to reflect this very representation of Wolfstar.
What I haven’t done, is expressed any specific sizing that I myself visualise my default Wolfstar to be, only spitballed a range of heights (I got you, these were: Sirius being anywhere between 5’7 and 5’11 and Remus, 6’2 to 6’5). To save you the question, I’d say my default headcanon is Sirius as 5’10 and Remus at a whopping, staggering, unrealistic monstrosity of 6’4. Forgive me for enjoying a short(er) but very much average Sirius next to a tall Remus.
Keeping in line with your hot poker tone, I’ll agree with you on one thing and that is, ten inches worth of 🐓 is very rare but I’ll let you in on a secret as to how I personally, came to that figure that inspired Five’s vision and my own separate one outside of her gorgeous story— the man I’m dating. Might shock you to know real men exist outside the world of fanfiction, with big hands and obnoxious heights (6’7) and huge extremities between their legs (10”). Double figures can exist outside of your IQ.
Also, even if anyone does enjoy absorbing a huge Remus and an exceptionally tiny Sirius as a constant theme in their experience here, who the fuck are you to shame them for it. Fiction, is what you’re getting a twist over. Fiction. Go run off into the corner of the fandom where what you enjoy does exist and take a breath because it seems you stumbled across an adult conversation here, and it’s got you feeling all out of sorts.

15.
1980. Very shortly after Y/N joined the Order.
“Dog.” Remus pointed out.
“Dog.”
Y/N and Remus were on a walk in a little London park.
“I need to pet it so bad.” Y/N said. Remus chuckled, sneaking a glance at her.
And luckily enough, as they walked past the owner, the fluffy golden retriever with a waggy tail proved to be friendly, running over to Y/N and Remus.
“Hi! Hello!” Y/N exclaimed happily as the dog ran up to her, sniffing and licking her legs. “May I pet him?” She looked up at the owner.
“Of course.”
“Oh, you’re so sweet aren’t you— oh!” Y/N giggled, kneeling down and petting the dog, giving him good scratches everywhere and letting him lick her face.
Remus looked down on her with fondness on his face before crouching down beside her to pat the dog’s head.
“Have a great day.” Y/N smiled as they got up. The owner tipped his hat at them, and they walked away from each other.
“Big dog lover, eh?” Remus said.
“Yes.” Y/N smiled. “I just love them so much, they’re so cuddly and happy. They make me feel better every single time.”
“That’s really cute.” Remus said, refraining from saying “you’re”. They had just began being friends, he was way too shy to let his crush on her show just yet.
+
It was a Tuesday evening in November and a few Order members were gathered at Number 12 Grimmauld Place after a meeting.
“Hey Y/N, you okay?” Remus said as he walked in on Y/N in the living room, laid down on the couch under a blanket.
“Yeah.” Y/N replied. “Just traditional seasonal depression. It makes me want to hole up and do nothing.”
Remus took a seat at her feet. They stayed in silence for a little while until Remus sat up suddenly. “Wait here.”
He went to the kitchen where Sirius was and whispered something in his ear.
A few moments later, a big shaggy black dog burst through the living room, running straight for Y/N.
“Oh my GOD!” Y/N sat up immediately, closing her eyes as the dog jumped on her and started licking her face. “OH MY GOD, WHERE DID YOU COME FROM—“ She squealed out of happiness as he wagged his tail, nuzzling her and happily accepting her scratches.
Remus felt warmth fill his chest and cheeks as Y/N’s hearty loud laugh filled the room. He realized that he loved seeing her happy like this. And he did like that it was his doing.
+
The kitchen was filled with the clunk of glass Butterbeer bottles hitting the table, the crunch of biting into a handful of chips and loud booming voices.
“Y/N, your turn.” Remus said.
“Mkay,” Y/N said, leaning over to pick up a card. She read it, “Question. Have you ever lied to me and if yes, what was the lie? Hmm…. I’m gonna ask it to the both of you, can I do that?”
Sirius shrugged from across the table. “Okay. So a time where both Moony and I have lied to you?”
Y/N nodded, leaning back in her chair. She looked at the two, smiling. “This should be good.”
Remus and Sirius looked at each other, pensively. Remus burst out laughing. “Well, there is a big thing that we’ve been keeping from you…”
“What?” Sirius looked at Remus confusedly. Remus stuck his tongue out and panted, and Sirius threw his head back in laughter upon comprehending. “Okay, yeah, Y/N there is one thing.”
“What?” Y/N asked in anticipation.
“You know that black dog that Remus brings around whenever you’re sad?”
“Yeah…” Y/N raised an eyebrow. This was not where she expected it to go.
“Well… it’s ME!”
Y/N spat out her drink. “The fuck you mean it’s you?”
“It’s literally me.”
“Shut up.”
Remus was laughing to the point of tears right now.
Sirius stood up, did a little twirl and transformed into the dog. Y/N fell out of her seat.
“WHAT? REMUS JOHN LUPIN, THIS WHOLE TIME THAT DOG YOU’VE BEEN BRINGING IS MOTHERFUCKIN JUST SIRIUS??? SIRIUS?!”
Remus nodded, unable to speak as he wiped the tears of laughter from his face.
“Hold on… SO THAT’S WHY THEY CALL YOU PADFOOT?” Y/N yelled at the dog. Remus let out a howl of laughter. Y/N was under so much shock that she didn’t even think of admitting that she herself was also an Animagus.
Sirius transformed back into human form and come up behind Y/N to hug her.
“I feel so betrayed what—“ Y/N laughed. “I let you sleep on my lap!”
“And you still can, darling.” Sirius winked.
Remus rolled his eyes.
“What, jealous Moony? Get over here.”
Remus joined his friends on the floor and the three tangled themselves in some sort of three-way hug.
“Guys?”
“Hmm?”
“I love you guys.” Y/N said, voice muffed in their embrace.
“To friendship.”
“To friendship”.
+
Y/N found herself watching Sirius undo his long mane of hair and comb his fingers through the knots before he threw it back into an updo.
“Siri?” She hummed.
“Yes?”
“You have such nice hair.” She complimented him.
He blushed slightly. “Well, thank you lovely.”
He walked out of the kitchen. Remus, who was sitting across the table from Y/N, lifted an eyebrow. He put down his coffee mug and a mischievous smile came upon his lips.
“Dove…”
“Hmm?”
“Can you come here for a sec?” He asked, leaning back in his chair and spreading his legs.
No need to ask twice for that. Y/N hopped up, and took a seat on Remus’ lap.
“What’s up?” She said, throwing her arms around his neck.
“Can I ask you something?” Remus said cheekily, tracing his thumb over the side of her hip. “Do you find Sirius attractive?”
That was not what Y/N was expecting to hear. She looked slightly taken aback. Her cheeks heat up. “He’s your best friend, Remmy!”
Remus shrugged. “I know. I just wanna know. I wouldn’t be offended you know, the opposite even.”
Y/N looked at him weirdly. Remus let out a shy chuckle. “I’ve never admitted this to you but… Sirius and I… we have in the past… occasionally…”
Y/N’s eyes widened.
“WHAT?”
That was even less of what Y/N expected to hear. “I’ve known you for a while now, and I’ve never heard of this!! What else have you not told me?”
“Just this, I promise.” Remus laughed, burying his head in her neck.
Y/N licked her teeth. “Damn. That’s kinda hot.”
“Really?” Remus lifted off her, reading her face for expression.
“Yeah…” Y/N said. She felt herself become shy. “And to answer your question, yeah Siri is cute. But you know you’re the love of my life, Remus.”
Remus smiled broadly. “I know. But it doesn’t mean we don’t get to have any fun, right?”
Y/N swallowed. She felt herself get aroused. And she knew that Remus would be able to smell it. It was a sense that had been permanently changed since his werewolf bite.
He did.
“You like the idea?” He whispered into her ear, hand sliding up between her thighs.
“Yes.” Y/N breathed, closing her eyes.
+
Y/N hummed to herself as she twirled around in her room in a bright red dress that she had just made herself.
She heard the apartment door open and two pairs of footsteps walk in. It must be Remus with one of the other Marauders.
“Knock knock.” A voice said.
She looked up above her own reflection in the mirror. “Siri!”
Sirius came in and gave her a quick hug. “You’re the only one who calls me that.”
“It’s cute. Do you mind it?”
“No, not at all. What are you all dressed up for?”
“Oh, nothing. Just one of my latest boredom creations.”
Sirius hummed. “It looks nice.”
His gaze was respectful. It always was extremely respectful with Sirius and Y/N. He was like her gay best friend, except he wasn’t gay. At least not fully.
“Thanks.” Y/N smiled. “If I were to go out in this, how would I do my hair?” She pondered, going back to look at the mirror.
“Up. For sure.” Sirius answered.
Y/N gathered her hair up. “Like this?”
“Hmm. Yeah, but— may I?” He asked. She nodded and Sirius made his way to her.
He settled behind her and ran his fingers through her hair to gather it up in a ponytail. His fingers felt soft as they grazed her scalp.
“Like that.” Sirius said, holding the ponytail with one hand as his other came to rest on her bare shoulder. She felt her pulse in her neck dangerously close to where his hand was.
She looked at him in the mirror’s reflection. He met her gaze.
“Well, well, well, what fun are we up to here?”
Remus stepped in the room, jolting Y/N and Sirius apart. He let go of her hair and it came cascading down.
“Hey!” Y/N whipped around to face him.
Although nothing really out of the ordinary had happened, the energy was different in the room.
“It feels like I’m interrupting something.” Remus chuckled, a hint of cheekiness in his voice.
“Course not.” Sirius said, plopping himself onto Y/N’s bed.
“I was just showing Pads my newest project.” Y/N gave a light twirl to show off the new dress. “You like?”
Remus licked his lips, stroking his chin. “Very beautiful.” Y/N grinned. From the side of his eye, he caught Sirius watching her too.
“Sirius, you like?”
Sirius broke off his gaze. “Hmm, wha- oh yes of course, our little bird’s quite the seamstress!”
Remus walked up to Y/N, greeting her with a hug. He leaned down placing a quick kiss on her lips. Y/N smiled through it.
She was about to pull away but Remus wrapped his arm around her waist. He slid his finger along her jaw and deepened the kiss.
Sirius looked away.
Y/N opened her eyes, giggling nervously. “Um, baby, Sirius is right there.” She whispered.
Remus opened his, glancing over at his friend on the bed. “Sirius, want to join?”
Both Y/N and Sirius looked at him, taken aback. They grew shy.
Sirius laughed it off, insinuating Remus played too much. But Remus didn’t drop the question.
“Listen, I don’t want to make any of you uncomfortable.” He began. “But… I do know for a fact that you two do find each other attractive.. and God knows it would be the hottest thing for me too. Maybe we can have a bit of fun?”
Y/N swallowed. She did not know what to feel except for a certain ache that began pooling between her legs.
“I- uh.” Sirius breathed. He ran his hand through his hair. He laughed, biting his lip. Y/N almost whimpered. “I’m down for anything if you are.”
Y/N let go of Remus. She nodded. Taking a hesitant step towards Sirius, she glanced back at Remus, who winked at her.
“Why don’t you climb onto his lap, dove, you love doing that.” Remus said, taking a seat in a nearby chair.
Sirius leaned back on his elbows, licking his lips as he watched Y/N climb onto him, a knee on either side of him.
“You’re such a pretty thing,” Sirius sighed.
“Could say the same about you,” Y/N responded as she ran her hands down his chest.
Sirius sat up, placing both of his hands on her hips.
“You can kiss her,” Remus grunted, thoroughly enjoying the sight of this.
Taking a deep breath in through their noses, Sirius and Y/N pressed their lips together. Letting out a moan, Sirius pulled her tighter against him, pressing her center to his.
Y/N cried out, the sound muffled by the kiss, as she wrapped her arms around Sirius’ neck and ground her hips under his hold.
“Merlin,” Sirius panted as the two pulled apart. “You’re exquisite. Can I touch you, sweetheart?”
Y/N nodded and Sirius brought both hands up, sliding up her ribs and coming to cup her breasts. He squeezed them, sending Y/N’s eyes rolling back.
“Such cute tits, oh I wanna see em,” he said, pulling the dress out of the way. He smiled when they were revealed to him, bringing his mouth to one of her nipples.
Remus loosened his tie from his corner, feeling hot.
“Isn’t she something?” He said, getting up and walking towards them. “I bet you’ve got Pads all hard and straining under there.”
Y/N grinned and nodded. “Let’s take care of that.”
She climbed off and Sirius undid his belt, pulling his pants off. Both Remus and Y/N kneeled down in front of him.
“Bloody hell,” Sirius swore again. It wasn’t even his birthday or Christmas.
He revealed himself. He indeed was already furiously hard.
“Gorgeous.”  Remus hummed. It had been a while. He placed a soft kiss on the head, licking over the slit.
Sirius hissed and squeezed his eyes closed. Y/N leaned forward, dragging her tongue down the base of his shaft as Remus sucked at the tip.
“Fucking hell!” He dared to look down, the sight of his best friend and his girl both sucking him off simultaneously enough to bring him closer over the edge.
He cradled both their heads with one hand, shaking and swearing until he finally came. Y/N wiped her mouth on the back of her hand. “Wow”.
Remus smiled, catching his breath. His eyes darkened. He could smell Y/N. And she was sopping.
“You wanna taste Y/N, Padfoot? I promise you she’s got the prettiest fucking pussy you’ll ever see.”
“Hell yes.”
Y/N whimpered, squeezing her thighs together before switching places with Sirius. Remus climbed onto the bed behind her, pulling her dress off over her head. Her breasts were still pink from Sirius’ hands beforehand.
Sirius’ eyes trailed down to her stomach, to the navy cotton underwear that hugged her hips. She spread legs and revealed a wet spot that had soaked through. Sirius almost fainted.
“Aw baby, you’re this wet huh? Sirius teased. He brought a finger to the warm fabric, spreading it and pressing against her clit.
Y/N cried, throwing her head back and Remus was behind her to bear her weight. “Who got you this wet, huh dove?” Remus asked, looking at her panting face as she settled her back nicely into his chest.
“You. You two.”
Sirius removed his hand and replaced it with his tongue, licking along the wet spot and dampening it even further.
“Oh fuck,” Y/N gasped, crumbling onto Remus. “Take them fucking off.”
Sirius slid her panties down her legs, her pussy so wet that it already dripped and stained the sheet beneath her.
“Open up darling, open up. Let Padfoot see.”
He slid his tongue up her folds once and wasted no time brushing it over her clit, taking it between his lips and sucking it.
Remus ran his warm hands over her stomach, then brought them up to her chest. With the pressure of Sirius’ tongue on her clit and Remus’ hands on her breasts, she moaned in ecstasy and threw her head back on Remus’ shoulder.
She cried, a string of half-gibberish swears leaving her mouth. Remus’ hand came and caressed her throat, then he ran his fingers over her lips, parting them so she can suck on them.
“So fucking good.”

Present day. 1993, Hogwarts.
Y/N took a swig from her goblet of orange juice as she opened the Daily Prophet that was laying around on the teacher’s table in the Great Hall. The headline wrote: “Sirius Black, newly sighted near Hertfordshire”. She lay her goblet down and quickly turned the paper to another page.
She glanced over at her side. Remus was quietly enjoying his breakfast.
“Anything interesting?” He asked.
She shook her head. “Nah.”

Thinking about James/Remus and seriously questioning why it's not a thing cause
1) the whole sun/moon lore I was talking about earlier
2) their shipname would be somn like "moonchaser" or "sunreader" or somn
3) it fits right into the running gag that James has a thing for people being mean to him
4) imagine all the possible angst mhmm mhmm Remus pining over James, finding out he likes his best friend, finding out she likes him back, losing him again and again ooooohhhhh just
5) but they're also perfect cause all Remus ever needs is to be loved and all James knows is to love someone else
6) ok but leave the angst, focus on the fluff. The possibilities omg friends to lovers just this time (minus all the usual angst that comes in wolfstar) and they're both just dumb oblivious idiots in love and it's so cute
7) thinking about all of this now I think what you said is right, people don't ship Remus with anyone other than Sirius but I think that's cause Sirius actually doesn't have many ships left then? Cause think about it like this: Sunreader, Bartylus, Marylily, Evan and Emmeline, Panda and Xeno, where does that leave Sirius? Sure Pete is there but...
8) ooooh ok going down this pipeline, for your consideration: Peter and Sirius. Omg it would make the "Sirius put in trial instead of Peter" thing sooooo much more ansgty ohhoo my brain is reeling rn
9) ok focusing back on moonchaser. They would make such a cute couple honestly. James would read all the books Remus reads and leaves lil doodles for him to find later. He would go to all the quidditch practices he can to support his bf. And he would right poetry and stuff about how hot James is.
10) ohhh They would share glasses omggg poor Remus grows up thinking everyone has shit vision then one day he wears James's as a joke and voila the world in HD
I'm so ngl, your influence on my brain has become on the best influences it has ever had cause omg all this potential all this angst and fluff I love this new me mhmm mhmm
hsirbdij omggggg I love this sm!!! thank you for sharing your brain with me.
sunreader sounds so gorgeous. I'm going insane. I love love LOVE the name!
1) yeah are literally the sun and the moon! they are perfect!
3) lmao. so true. I love the idea of remus being super sarcastic towards james and james swoons at every mean comment and tries very hard not to (he fails miserably)
4) urghhhhh not the unrequited feelings while having to be a supportive bestie trope (my beloved). I can imagine how mad it drives remus to watch them like each other, but being to scared to admit it. imagine the heartbreak when remus sees harry alias the combination of his parents
5) yesss. remus needs someone to love him even through all of his flaws, someone who isn't his parents and james who is literally the embodiment of love
6) "everyone can see it, but them" trope fr. it's them idfk
7) you make a fair point, but there are sooooooo many characters living in the marauders characters that no one ever uses. you could ship sirius with so many characters that no one ever talks abt (I'm currently working on a post with all the characters that I could find so that they're all in one place)
8) peter and sirius my loves <3 no one talks about them (me included whoops-). they have such a big angst potential that people just seem to be ignoring (once again bc most people refuse to leave the wolfstar bubble and just refuse to ship peter with anyone in general)
9) they would be the definition of tooth rotting fluff. they would make everyone sick with how sweet they are. couple goals fr
10) remus is me fr. the day I got my glasses was eye-opening lmao
glad to see that I have this kind of effect on people. I said it to you before but I'll say it again: welcome to the way more funnier side of being a multishipper hehehehe
also: I think I'm in love with you. marry pls, I'm begging 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 (/j... unless)
