“There you go,” said Ron. “We got as much as we could carry.”

A shower of brilliantly colored sweets fell into Harry’s lap. It was dusk, and Ron and Hermione had just turned up in the common room, pink-faced from the cold wind and looking as though they’d had the time of their lives. 

 “Thanks,” said Harry, picking up a packet of tiny black Pepper Imps. “What’s Hogsmeade like? Where did you go?”

 By the sound of it — everywhere. Dervish and Banges, the wizarding equipment shop, Zonko’s Joke Shop, into the Three Broomsticks for foaming mugs of hot butterbeer, and many places besides.

“The post office, Harry! About two hundred owls, all sitting on shelves, all color-coded depending on how fast you want your letter to get there!” 

“Honeydukes has got a new kind of fudge; they were giving out free samples, there’s a bit, look —” 

 “We think we saw an ogre, honestly, they get all sorts at the Three Broomsticks —” 

 “Wish we could have brought you some butterbeer, really warms you up —”

I can't believe it took JamCity so long to let MC say "Hey, I don't like pranks" and it was in one of the dumbest TLSQs ever. At least we saw more of Tulip but I certainly could have done without Merula.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t really hate pranks in HPHM. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t love them either. But I’d say I’m mostly indifferent about them. My feelings are nowhere as negative as for most of the fandom, I believe.

Also, I have to point out: I don’t think it’s the first time we can say we don’t like pranks. I’m not entirely sure if we could ever say that we don’t like them in general, but we definitely could speak negatively about certain jokes:

I also recall having options to tell Bilton we don’t find his jokes funny, for example. The problem is – just like with most options in the game nowadays – that our choices change absolutely nothing. So… y’know.

As for the “Saving Zonkos” TLSQ in specific, to be frank,  I was considering skipping it, but not because of the theme. I just don’t really feel like doing a TLSQ this weekend – and I’m noticing that most of the recent TLSQs have very bad timing for me (like, in real life). Admittedly, it doesn’t help that I’m simply tired of a TLSQ formula in general. But in the end, I started doing it, mostly because I really want this month's Magical Milestone (and I’m still a little short on points). I’m not sure I’ll finish the quest, but based on two parts I completed so far… it’s not that bad.

Tonks and Tulip are always a big plus for me. And now on top of that, we have Rita Skeeter? I actually got a bit intrigued about what kind of a beef she might have with Bilton. As I said, I didn’t finish the story yet, and I was rushing through it a bit, so I don’t want to express any strong opinions, but I honestly don’t think I’d call it “one of the dumbest TLSQs ever”. Of course, to each their own.

Oh, and I agree that the quest would be just fine without Merula, but JC was probably dying to include her because if I recall correctly, she wasn’t featured a lot lately.
