As in certain other Southeast Asian states, the Toungoo throne aimed at the radical subordination of the principal elites— princes, ministers, governors, and headmen—to the person of the ruler. Styled "Lord of Life," the king was considered to be the ultimate owner of the resources of the country, while the administrative and military machine was regarded as his personal instrument. In theory all Burmese offices and incomes were temporary revocable grants; there was no feudal class whose political and landholding privileges enjoyed legal sanction against royal interference.25 In an edict of 1638, King Tha-lun (r. 1629-1648) explained his position within the state as follows: "I am the great and noble king who has dominion over eight realms that I have demarcated, and over every single person [who lives therein]. All people depend on the king alone [for their welfare] and there is no one who is not owned by him."26

How come Matashi runs the political matters in skyshrine?

Matashi's adoptive father Lord Yelinak has not been in the best shape to run them do to the fact that he is getting very sick as he is a very old dragon. So in return for Lord Yelinak adopting Matashi she runs political affairs, the council of the claws of veeshan, the kingdom of skyshrine, and the skyshrine royal guard as a whole. Though once her adoptive father dies and her younger brother becomes the king (Matashi is the oldest adoptive child but she gave up her royal title to join the skyshrine royal guard to fight the kromzek after the death of her adoptive mother Hgasara) She'll retire to kunark with her boyfriend Prince Selrach Di`zok and live the remainder of her days in Chardok

The top three dudes are my fave trio of buds I headcannon are best buds. I just love their interactions with eachother in the show.

In my little AU, Skekvar, Skekayuk, and Skekzok grew up the same village together were even friends back then. Though Zok and Var were closer friends with eachother than they were with Ayuk because they didn’t knew Ayuk that well. Until, when all three became lords of the kingdom and bond over the fine richest in life, such as food. Wine, lots of wine. And vodka. And Gin. And Vodka, and wine.

I see Skektek and Skekung relunctant partners working together to take care of the status on the Garthim army. Like creating more, training them, cleaning, belly rubs, and pecks on the shell-wait what. Skektek refuse to do all the dirty work and demanded that Skekung do his job as the GARTHIM MASTER to do some chores with him.

Garthim in my AU debated to keep them the same, huge ass dire mix wolf dogs, or even engineer dragon mixes of crab... but for now I picked Skekung holding cute puppies.

Bill Gates nắm quyền kiểm soát tập đoàn khách sạn Four Seasons

Theo Reuter dẫn lời người điều hành khách sạn vào hôm thứ tư, quỹ đầu tư Cascade Investment LLC của tỷ phú Bill Gates chính thức trở thành cổ đông lớn nhất của Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts bằng thương vụ thỏa thuận mua lại cổ phần của Hoàng tử Ả Rập – Saudi Alwaleed bin Talal – với giá 2,21 tỷ USD.

Thỏa thuận này dự kiến hoàn thành tháng 1/2022, mang lại cho Bill Gates quyền kiểm soát tập đoàn khách sạn giá trị hơn 10 tỷ USD. Trước đó, Kingdom và Cascade nắm giữ cổ phần bằng nhau tại tập đoàn khách sạn này từ năm 2007. Khi việc mua bán hoàn tất, Cascade nắm giữ 71,25% cổ phần điều hành khách sạn, trong khi Kingdom giữ 23,75% cổ phần. Người sáng lập Four Seasons và Chủ tịch Isadore Sharp vẫn giữ 5% cổ phần.

Four Seasons là một trong những thương hiệu khách sạn xa xỉ được biết đến nhiều nhất trên thế giới với hơn 100 địa điểm ở 5 châu lục. Mặc dù ra đời vào năm 1960 bởi kiến trúc sư trẻ tuổi Isadore Sharp, tuy nhiên, thương hiệu chỉ thực sự bùng nổ vào những năm 1970 khi Four Seasons London chính thức khai trương, mở ra định hướng phát triển trong tương lai của công ty và trở thành chuẩn mực cho hệ thống dịch vụ của Four Seasons ngày nay trên thế giới.

Năm 1986, công ty niêm yết trên sàn chứng khoán, nhưng đến năm 2007, gia đình Sharp cùng với những cổ đông có cùng chí hướng như Bill Gates hay Hoàng tử Al-Waleed bin Talal đã đưa công ty trở về sở hữu tư nhân để bảo vệ sự nhất quán trong quan điểm phát triển của thương hiệu.

Tập đoàn hiện sở hữu 121 khách sạn và resort cùng với hơn 50 dự án đang được xây dựng. Ngoài khách sạn và resort, tập đoàn cũng mở rộng kinh doanh bằng việc xây dựng các khu dân cư và chung cư sang trọng cho giới siêu giàu.

Ông Sarmad Zok – Giám đốc điều hành của Kingdom Hotel Investments cho biết: rất nhiều các nhà đầu tư đã ngỏ ý muốn mua lại cổ phần của Four Seasons thông qua Kingdom Holdings trong nhiều năm qua, từ các công ty bảo hiểm Trung Quốc đến các tập đoàn cao cấp của châu Âu. Nhưng Kingdom đang cố gắng tìm đúng nhà đầu tư và ông coi giá trị doanh nghiệp 10 tỷ đô la là một “con số kỳ diệu”.

Giám đốc điều hành Four Seasons – John Davison chia sẻ: với việc nắm quyền kiểm soát của Cascade, ông hy vọng công ty lưu trú sang trọng sẽ đẩy mạnh cam kết của mình đối với các công nghệ mới và khu nhà ở mang thương hiệu Four Seasons. Công ty cũng sẽ theo đuổi hơn nữa các vấn đề môi trường, đa dạng hơn và một số vấn đề khác nhằm thu hút khách du lịch trẻ tuổi hơn.

“Chúng tôi muốn bảo tồn thương hiệu di sản của mình nhưng cũng phát triển nó cho thế hệ người tiêu dùng xa xỉ tiếp theo,” ông Davison nói.

Quỹ đầu tư của Bill Gates lần đầu tiên đầu tư vào Four Seasons vào năm 1997. Chuỗi khách sạn này bị ảnh hưởng kinh doanh trong giai đoạn khủng hoảng kinh tế toàn cầu vào năm 2008 khiến Kingdom hạ mức định giá Four Seasons suốt từ 2008 – 2012. Nhưng hiện tại công ty tăng cường mở rộng trong những năm gần đây khi đang vận hành 121 khách sạn và khu nghỉ dưỡng và 46 khu dân cư, với hơn 50 dự án. Con số đó so với 74 khách sạn và khu nghỉ dưỡng và 19 khu dân cư có thương hiệu vào năm 2007, khi các đối tác thành lập Four Seasons đạt một thỏa thuận trị giá 3,8 tỷ USD.

Có thể nói, Bill Gates là nhà đầu tư mát tay trong nhiều lĩnh vực. Theo Forbes, ông là người sở hữu nhiều đất nông nghiệp nhất nước Mỹ, trải dài suốt 18 bang. Trong đó, bất động sản lớn nhất của ông nằm tại bang Louisiana (khoảng 279 triệu m2 đất). Ông có 194 triệu m2 đất tại bang Arkansas, 83,3 triệu m2 ở bang Nebraska. Theo Land Report, Bill Gates cũng mua đất nông nghiệp tại Florida và Washington.

Không chỉ vậy, vị tỷ phú còn sở hữu cổ phần trong 102 triệu m2 đất chuyển tiếp ở phía tây của Phoenix, bang Arizona, nơi đang được quy hoạch để trở thành vùng ngoại ô mới với gần 80.000 ngôi nhà. Bên cạnh bất động sản, quỹ đầu tư của Bill Gates còn đầu tư vào công ty an toàn thực phẩm Ecolab, hãng bán lẻ ô tô đã qua sử dụng Vroom và dự án đường sắt quốc gia Canada.
