Wanderer!Reader
Hisui is a vast place, and it can’t only be occupied by the two clans and the village, yes? There aren’t many travellers, the only ones of notice being the Gingko Guild.
You, however, just like to wander. You travel by yourself, the only companions being Pokémon you’ve befriended along the way. People are exhausting, so you prefer it that way.
You don’t own any pokéballs because the knowledge of them hasn’t been passed around yet.
So one day you’re just hiking up the mountains when you come across a tall, yet slouching, figure ahead of you shouting. Upon closer look, you see that it’s a male wearing very torn and ragged clothes that look foreign to you, specifically the cap and coat.
- yui.anon
I’m rereading this and I’m starting to think you were just chatting about it instead of requesting a drabble. If that’s so then sorry! Have a drabble as an apology!!
🍓🍓🍓
The man notices you the moment you notice him. The cap he wears shades his eyes, but their still bright, if tired. Sharp silver pierces your skin, so you stop, a hand atop the Arcanine at your side. Your hiking companion growls at the new person, not soothed by your gentle pets.
“Good morning!”
The greeting bellows through the quiet mountains. You jerk back, ready to flee or fight, whatever the situation calls for. Arcanine barks again, smoke billowing from his mouth at the threat the man poses.
To his credit, the man backs away too, eyes wide beneath that brim. His hands are up, showing you his scarred palms as a sign of surrender, of having no arms or weapons. You relax a little, but not Arcanine. It steps forward to protect you, still spewing smoke crackling with embers.
“My apologies!” The man says, voice quieter now. He glances away, then pulls his brim down to hide his eyes. You relax further. “I didn’t mean to frighten you! I don’t often meet travelers out here.”
You cock your head. The man straightens, and does a strange pose. Both arms fire out, one pointing at you while the other points down.
“None the matter!” He says, his eyes bright again. “I will conduct you to your destination, dear traveler!”
“I’m a wanderer.” You correct gently, stroking Arcanine again. The lack of attack has it slowly easing off of its haunches. “So I don’t have a destination.” You rake your gaze down his attire, unashamed of your stare. The man squirms in place, but you’re able to see his tattered coat and clan uniform, as well as. . . “What’s that on your belt?”
The man pauses, glancing at his belt. There’s a wooden object sitting there, one he pulls off with ease. You creep a bit closer as he holds it out. The wood is two different shades, and there’s a clasp on it in the center seam.
“A Poké Ball.” The man tells you.
“A Poké Ball.” You repeat. You creep closer still. Arcanine makes gruff noises, voicing its obvious displeasure, but follows. “And what is it for?”
“To catch Pokémon.” The man says. Your silence has him squirming again. “Er, you throw one at a Pokémon, and it. . . catches them. And then you have it for your team. To battle.”
“Why would you need one?” You ask. “Do your Pokémon not follow you like mine?”
The man opens his mouth, then closes it again. His eyes are on your shoulder. Based on the sharp tingling you can feel, your Magnemite is peeking out of your bag at the new person.
“Er, well. . .” The man seems unsure of what to say. You smile at him. “I suppose they do. . .”
“Strange what the future holds.” You muse to yourself, turning to head down the cliff face. Arcanine and Magnemite are at your heels, or shoulders, in Magnemite’s case. “Goodbye.”
“Wait!” The shout makes you pause. To your surprise, the man follows you. Arcanine’s growling has no effect on him, for soon he’s at your side. “I will accompany you down the mountain. Safety checks are needed to ensure your safe passage!”
You cock a brow. “I will be fine. I’m a wanderer.”
“I will accompany you!” The man says, finality in his voice. You watch him start in the direction you were headed in a moment again. “Mind the rails. All aboard!”
Of course, you think to yourself, he lives here all alone. You’ve discovered the mountain madman.
Well, at least the trip will be interesting.
🍓🍓🍓
We love a slow build up. Ingo, alone in the mountains, immediately crushing on the wanderer he finds. The wanderer, thinking he’s insane and humoring him to not get bitten.
True love <3
~Renee

Ok, now that I've got my critical and as-objective-as-i-can Pokemon Scarlet and Violet review out of my system, I can give my biased, completely subjective opinion:
I LOOOOVE THIS GAME!!! I'm honestly having so so much fun with it! The story is so fun, the characters are so fun and well-written, all 3 of the storylines you can play are fun, everything about it is so much fun!! Like I don't wanna seem like I'm ignoring all its horrible technical issues, but I kinda wanna shake people and go "IGNORE THE HORRIBLE TECHNICAL ISSUES, GLITCHES ASIDE THIS GAME IS GREAT!!". But I won't.
It's just, man, like. On the one hand, I'm not surprised ppl are focusing on the glitches. They're unavoidable, bad, and shouldn't be there. But on the other hand, yeees we know this game has glitches, can we PLEASE have conversations about everything else?
I just wish they weren't there, cuz. The game underneath is fantastic. I can't really put into words how much fun I've been having with it. And most people I've talked to think the same! Glitches aside, this has gotta be one of the top 3 Pokémon games in the whole series. If they fix it it's gonna be a hard recommend to everyone.
But as I said in my other post, I can't in good faith recommend it in its current state. Which suuuuuucks cuz I really want to!! It's very, very fun!! So I guess I'm just gonna sit here and mumble to myself about how well written everyone is, and how fun Iono's battle was, and that I love what they did with Clavell, and that team star might be one of the best antagonist teams so far, and that the path of legends is so emotionally beautiful, and that *mumble mumble mumble*
In conclusion:

GIVING POKEMON TO THE DIABOYS BC IM BORED AND I LOVE POKEMON (Sakamaki + Yui)
Shuu: Stoutland
・He could use it like a pillow
・Shuu has said several time that he feels cold, so Stoutland’s long warm coat will easily warm him.
・It also match his color palette
・Also a reference to the dog that Edgar gave to Shuu
Reiji: Polteageist(☆)
・Do I have to explain why?
・Also matching color palette
・Is a tea pokemon, its definitely Reiji’s Pokemon.
Ayato: Charizard
・Ayato loves cool and powerful Pokemon, and here is it.
・Ayato is the most overrated character and Charizard is one of the most overrated Pokemon lol
・Likes to burn his brother’s things
Kanato: Alcremie (Vanilla Cream w/ Ribbon Sweet)
・When Kanato has anxiety attacks he eats parts of his Pokemon.
・He likes to decorate Alcremie as his favorite sweets
・Kanato onces asked Reiji if he could eat it. (THE WHOLE POKEMON)
Laito: Serperior
・*Insert original snake joke*
・Laito is not a big fan of battles, he prefers training his Pokemon for helping him in daily life
・Serperior wraps around Laito’s preys to not let them scape Laito
Subaru: Gallade
・Christa has Gardevoir and Subaru Gallade :’)
・It helps him to take care of the roses garden
・Gallade is like his friend, who always listen to him and tries to make him smile
Yui: Sylveon
・Yui really needs someone for her, and there is her Pokemon.
・Her father gave it to her as a companion
・She lets Sylveon comb her hair and put some ribbons on it.

My not-so-long, but hopefully comprehensive review of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
So I’ve been playing this game a lot lately. As of the time of this writing, I have 15:45 hours of play time. And I’ve got a lot of thoughts, so I’m gonna go ahead and share them here, especially for people who are considering whether or not they should buy this game.
Overall thoughts: I’ve been really, really enjoying this game. I’ve had a ton of fun with it, and I’m loving most of the design choices they’ve made. In some ways, it feels like they took the best parts of Let’s Go, Sword and Shield, and Legends Arceus to make it. They took everything that worked, put it together, and added brand new features that all fit really nicely and are welcome additions.
However, I’d be willing to bet that’s not what you’re gonna hear/see from most people saying their thoughts. And with good reason. The game is riddled with noticeable, unavoidable, and sometimes even game-breaking glitches. In most games, you usually have to go out of your way to find such oversights. But in this one, any given casual playthrough will see them every 5 minutes. They’re everywhere, so it’s no wonder people are focusing on them.
Good aspects of the game: A lot of the mechanics are very enjoyable. The open world works really well, the game gives you a ton of options about what to do, and almost everything you do is gonna give you immediate, noticeable benefits, so you never feel like you’re wasting your time. The music is really good, and the graphics for the models are very nice too, in my opinion. Your trainer character emotes a whole lot. Obviously, whether the aesthetics of the game are appealing to you or not is the most subjective aspect of it, but the effort that went into giving each pokemon textures that reflect their body types is undeniable. I personally really love the way steel types look in this.
This is an opinion rather than an actual aspect of Scarlet and Violet, but at least from my perspective, it really seems like they were trying to make a good game here.
Bad aspects of the game: Some nitpicks here and there about how it would be better if the game had a scaling system regarding your pokemon levels, so you feel less forced to play it in a “right” order. And I wish there was a way to look at the pictures you get with the medals other than screenshotting, because they’re very cute. Also, I wish there was more stuff to do together in multiplayer, other than the usual battling and trading. Right now, you can only do the raids together, and that’s about it. You can also have picnics and take selfies with each other, but other than that it’s just each of you playing on your own while also standing next to each other. Not a lot of collaborative or competitive things to do.
Now that the nitpicks are out of the way, the Donphan in the room: the game has a plethora of graphical glitches that are too numerous to count. Entire areas getting deloaded, characters and pokemon in the distance being low poly and walking at 2 frames per second (which is common practice but it’s usually better hidden so the player doesn’t notice), the textures in the environment are very, very blurry, the shadows on the floor are barely rendered at all, you can go through buildings if you walk through the door funny, you can sequence break with a little bit of effort, glitches glitches glitches everywhere. They are a part of the experience that will follow you everywhere.
I want to be sympathetic with the developers who I’m sure crunched like hell to get this out on Gamefreak’s insane timeframe. And there’s no doubt in my mind a lot of them really did put a lot of care into the game. But the objective reality is that the game shipped out in this state, and it costs $60. Fans have to spend a pretty penny to get to play it, and they deserve a quality product. And at this point in time, that’s not what you get when you pop that cartridge into your switch.
Do I recommend buying it?: No, not really. It’s a good game underneath the glitches, but to enjoy it you have to overlook so, so much. And not everyone is willing to do that, nor should they have to be. If you’re a Pokemon fan that’s excited about this game, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Just know what you’re getting into, and be prepared to deal with it for the foreseeable future. If you’re not a Pokemon fan and are just looking for a fun game to play in your free time, skip this one. In its current state, it’s not worth your hard-earned money.
If Gamefreak releases a patch, or patches, that fix all the framerate and graphical problems, this game will be an easy 8/10. Easy. But until that actually happens, I can’t in good faith recommend it. I hope this comes to pass eventually, because I really like it and wish it didn’t run so bad. But right now, I’d recommend to avoid unless you’re 100% aware that it’s broken in many regards, and are willing to put up with it.
