Got misgendered by a superior at work today so I am having a GREAT fucking day. Happy pride.

#they/them acknowledges that I'm trans #but that ain't my identity #I have made it QUITE CLEAR that my pronouns are he/him at work #and not respecting that is hurtful #I know that you only became my direct report or whatever recently #but that ain't an excuse #We've been working together for 10 months #I really don't want to dm her and spell it out for her #because I already am under the impression that she doesn't like me #but I can't let this fly #This is a stressful situation for me to be in #I miss the other senior I was working under #I miss the trans senior that quit months ago too #she would have raised hell for me #But like here I am trying to get promoted so I can be an advocate for other trans employees #and I don't want to cause problems and jeopardize that for me #because no matter how much someone says that your emotions won't be held against you in the workplace #we all know that's not true #You can't show any weakness if you're not a cis white straight man #and it's going to take a lot to convince me otherwise
