#YOU WRECK MY HEART ZOE

Note
I'm bothering the my fav authors with their hypothetical love lives.
Apologies if I'm being weird.. it's been my life unfortunately lol
But if you had to choose an RO to romance irl who would you personally choose and whyyyyy with motivation!
Also love the story and i hope you have a BEAUTIFUL week ♥️
You're fine! Thinking who I would romance from this train wreck cast was a lot of fun-
Anyway my college self would have been enamored by Beck no question skskd
Lars is someone I would have gotten in a fist fight with (lmfaO), Rook has an iron wall around his heart and plenty of personal issues ajsjs + jealousy, ??? is mostly the jealousy I'd be fine with them possessing me tbh-
Rhea I'd love and admire and wish I could be best friends with So Bad but we're too different solely in what we want from life to date.
Zoe is my second contender because I like quiet people I can relax with and we'd share in our love of books (Also I love people who I can tease and Zoe delivers in that department).
But Beck is just so soft and I'm a sucker for Soft Boys. I think we could relate on a lot of personal feelings, both good and bad, and we both just want a normal and peaceful life. Also while all ROs would be fine with it, I imagine Beck's response to me being grey romantic ace as just "ok, we're best friends who are in love sometimes" and that easy acceptance would make me cry lol

Okay, doing my worst.. rank all the main characters we’ve ever had on The Rookie! 😇
As you wish:
Tim Bradford — This man. From that very first episode, I was invested. The way I went from thinking he was the biggest asshole on the planet to just wanting to wrap him up in a big hug in a single episode?? LOVE. His journey has been spectacular, and I'm a total sucker for character development, which is the only reason I placed him ahead of Lucy (*ask me again in five minutes and they'll swap places)
Lucy Chen — How could anyone not adore her? (Seriously, how?? I've seen some negative takes and I just cannot fathom how anyone could think a single bad thing about her.) She's kind and compassionate, whip smart and a total badass. She deserves everything!!!!!
Nyla Harper — I love her, her take-no-shit attitude is amazing, and she's such a badass. She, too, has had so much growth since her debut, and I've loved seeing her go from "I don't care about anyone, I'm just here for the pay bump" to being an integral part of the team family.
Aaron Thorsen — I'll be honest, this one surprised me. I still remember how I initially disliked him, and now here I am ranking him close to the top of my list. He just adds so much fun to the show, and I particularly love seeing him play off of both Tim and Lucy.
Angela Lopez — My queen. She's sassy and witty, but has so much heart! And I basically live for her friendship with Tim. I really hope we'll see more from her character this season and beyond, because between her pregnancies and Elijah, we haven't seen nearly enough of what she's capable of!
Wade Grey — Listen, I'm nowhere near as invested in Grey as I am most of the others, but I still love him. He's like the Papa Bear of the show. He cares so deeply for his team (and the man sees everythiiiiiing).
Jackson West — I think Jackson is the most difficult one for me to place, in part because it feels like forever ago that he was part of the show, and also because I like him less upon rewatching as I did originally? Listen, I like the idea of Jackson more than Jackson himself a lot of the time. I absolutely adore the fanfic version of Jackson, but I think he fell short in a lot of ways on the show itself. Especially following DOD, I think he could have and should have been a better, more supportive friend to Lucy. And I've never loved his sort of holier-than-thou attitude. But his place in the original crew earns him a special place in my heart (and on this list), because his good moments definitely outweigh the bad ones. And the money I'd have paid to see him reacting to Chenford?? RIP.
Bailey Nune — Is she my favourite? Absolutely not (as evidenced by her place on this list lol). But I don't always understand the way people hate on her. She's definitely shoehorned into a lot of scenes/storylines, but that's not the character's fault. And I've enjoyed her more and more as we've seen some flaws in the "I'm a master at everything I do" façade. The episode where her college(?) friend visits and she's trying to keep up? Fun! When she thinks a coyote is a puppy? Love! Calling Lucy a badass? You go girl! I hope we continue to see her interacting more with the other characters, because they're doing Bailey/Jenna a massive disservice by not mixing it up more!
Wesley Evers — I really, really like him, but compared to so many characters that I absolutely adore, he has to fall toward the bottom of the list. Hate to say it, but he doesn't really add anything to the show (🙈)? Maybe we'll see more of that now that's working for the DA's office, but as of right now, I just don't get excited when I see him on my screen.
Celina Juarez — She's fun, and I enjoy her, don't get me wrong. But I just find her behaviour as a rookie jarring when I compare it to our original trio. Though to be fair, these are more reasons to dislike Nolan as a TO than faults of Celina herself...
Zoe Andersen — Did I love her? Yes, absolutely, she was fantastic! (And her death still wrecks me every single time!) But it feels unfair to rank her higher, simply because we only had her for a short time. I often think about how things would be different if she was still around. I think she'd be a fantastic mentor for Lucy in particular.
John Nolan — Look, this ranking doesn't mean I hate him. I don't. I actually like all of these characters, that's the beauty of this show for me. But of them all, I am the least invested in Nolan. Maybe that's a byproduct of how he's been written over the last few seasons - it's hard to care too much when you know that, no matter what happens, everything's going to work out perfectly for him, you know?
Talia Bishop — She had some good moments, don't get me wrong (I especially enjoyed her dynamic with Tim), but I just didn't get on board with her character like the others.
Thanks Pauli, this was super fun, you can keep the 😇 title... (I wonder what people would say if I put Nolan at the top of my list? 😂😂😂)

What are your guys' favourite songs?
*camera shoots onto Jim, as he stretches, caffeine rush finally over*
Jim: Shameless by Camilla Cabello, Train Wreck by James Arthur or the whole of the Atlas album by the Score. I can't choose.
*camera turns to Claire, who's holding Jim's hand to stop him from running off*
Claire: Anything Papa Skull. Probably Breaking Heart.
*Toby pokes his head in, grinning like the maniac we know he is*
Toby: The Rita and Rolli theme song >:)
*Jim turns to Toby, gasping at the Trollhunter*
Jim: NO!
Toby: *sighs* It's a good song!
Jim: IT RUINED MY FUCKING CHILDHOOD-
*camera turns to Douxie as Jim and Toby continue to cuss and shout at each other*
Douxie: *interrupts* Sorry about my brother- he's a bit of a heathen nowadays- has no utter shame, honestly. Anyway, if I had to give a song that wasn't ADP, it has to be either Advice by Cavetown or I Wanna Be Yours by Arctic Monkeys :)
*Darci grins, next to the wizard*
Darci: Papa Skull or Arctic Monkeys. If I had to give a song though, I would say Daylight by David Kushner.
Douxie and Darci: *high five*
*Mary looks up from filing her nails, looking annoyed*
Mary: Papa Skull- Grey Roads. I'm not as uncultured as Jim.
*Jim lets out a shocked scream*

Mary: SHUT UP!
Toby: *hoots* SHE GOT EXPOOOOOOSED!
*camera turns to Eli, who had clearly had enough*
Eli: *fixes glasses before speaking* Hail to the Geek by Deaf Pedestrians. Next.
*Steve sighs*
Steve: The Horrid Henry Theme Song. And that was when I was twelve- OI, BUTTSNACK, WHY YOU LAUGHING?! WANT TO GET PUNCHED?!
*camera turns to Jim, who's cackling*
Jim: And people call me an uncultured swine-
Steve: FUCK OFF!!!
*camera turns to Shannon and Zoe*
Shannon: Taylor Swift. Her 1989 album. Or any anime or K-Drama music.
Zoe: Anything ADP. My music is the best.
*camera pans out to look at everyone, sitting side by side*
Douxie: That's because you love the sound of your own voice.
Zoe: *rolls eyes* Shut it, Casperan.
Douxie: *gulps* Yes, ma'am.
*suddenly there is loud music being played through the speakers, and everyone is shocked to find it's Shameless*
Speaker: So many mornings, I woke up confused, In my dreams, I do anything I want to you, My emotions are naked, they're taking me out of my mind....
Jim: RIGHT NOW I'M SHAMELESS, SCREAMING MY LUNGS OUT FOR YA, NOT AFRAID TO FACE IT, I NEED YOU MORE THAN I WANT IT, I NEED YOU MORE THAN I WANT IT, SHOW ME YOU'RE SHAMELESS, WRITE IT ON MY NECK, WHY DON'T YA-
*camera turns to an exasperated Eli and Claire as Darci, Shannon, Steve, Toby, Mary and Zoe all join in*
Eli: And that's it from the Guardians of Arcadia. See you next time, guys.
Claire: And if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to hit that ask box and write them out.
Douxie: Now to go kill my idiot brother for hacking into the speakers.
Everyone apart from Eli, Douxie and Claire: NO UH, UH, DON'T WANNA DO THIS NOW, NO, UH, UH, DON'T WANNA DO THIS NOW, NO, UH, UH, DON'T WANNA DO THIS NOW, NO, UH, UH, DON'T WANNA DO THIS NOW-
*camera cuts to black*

Sunday, September 19, 2021 London, England
The Undisputed British Women’s Championship felt heavier in Nellie’s hand leaving the ring than it had entering it. Of course, it wasn’t heavier—she was weaker, her lungs on fire and her muscles taxed after a grueling twenty-minute two-out-of-three-falls match. But as spent as she was, Nellie hadn’t felt this much pride in a while. Successfully defending her title for the fifth time since winning it in July was one hell of a birthday present.
“And still.”
Kyle Fletcher greeted her with a wide smile as she returned backstage. Aussie Open’s winner-take-all match against Destination Everywhere for both the PWA Tag Team Championship and RevPro Undisputed British Tag Team Championship was next.
“That was a hell of a match, Nell,” Mark complimented.
“Thanks,” she smiled and bumped each of their fists in turn. Nellie had known Kyle and Mark for almost as long as she’d been working RevPro, but for most of that time they’d been little more than acquaintances, not to mention one-time rivals—Aussie Open had won their first RevPro tag team championship by beating Suzuki-gun back when Nellie had been dating and managing Zack.
However, when Nellie had defeated Zoe Lucas to capture the vacant RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship for a second time—ironically, on July Fourth—she’d decided right then and there to be a fighting champion. And that meant working more dates for RevPro, which in turn meant seeing the Aussies more and having the chance to actually get to know them; and soon enough, Nellie, Kyle, and Mark had graduated from acquaintances to friends who texted and sent each other memes and made plans for when she’d been in England next.
And she’d been there quite frequently lately.
“How many defenses is that now?” Mark asked.
Nellie hoisted the title up onto her shoulder. “Five… in three months.”
“Jesus,” he breathed.
“I think I’m in love,” Kyle added.
She grinned. “Win the RevPro tag titles and maybe we’ll talk,” she teased him—and not for the first time. That was something else that had developed between her and Kyle in recent weeks. But he’d started it.
“I’m gonna hold you to that,” he smirked.
“Will you?” Nellie parried; but then she noticed the knowing smirk on Mark’s face and became suddenly embarrassed. Trading cheeky DMs with Kyle was one thing. Flirting with him in front of people was quite another.
“Good luck!” she quickly said, and she turned and continued down the hall, her heart rate picking up again.
* * * *
An hour after her match, Nellie’s phone was still pinging with likes, comments, and retweets of the sweaty post-match photo she’d shared to her socials with a simple but intriguing caption: And still. Three months, five defenses. And I’m hunting more hardware.
It was that last line that had everyone speculating—and they’d find out what she meant soon enough. Recently, Nellie and Torrance had decided to bet on themselves and enter the upcoming Goddesses of Stardom Tag League as a team. It was a bold move, not only because they’d never tagged together before, but because they were in separate factions: Nellie in Queen’s Quest, Torrance in Cosmic Angels. But they’d both been looking to shake things up in their careers, and the tag league presented the perfect opportunity.
“We seriously need to come up with a team name,” Torrance said as she sat in the dressing room scrolling through her own social media feeds. “They’re announcing the entrants in two weeks, I think.”
“I know,” Nellie agreed, pausing to swipe mascara over her lashes. Of course they were going out; it was her birthday. “I’ve been trying to think of a play on our names, but all I’ve come up with is Team TKO and I don’t think that fits us.”
Torrance’s eyes turned pensive. “Cosmic Queens?” she finally said.
Nellie started to reject it—but she snapped her fingers. It had come to her just like that. “Cosmic Queendom.”
“Yessss, that’s it,” Torrance smiled. “Although it kinda sounds like we’re trying to join United Empire, too.”
Nellie stopped what she was doing. “Oh God, it does,” she realized. But Torrance shrugged.
“Fine with me,” she grinned. That time, Nellie decided to keep her comments to herself.
Initially, Torrance hadn’t planned on coming to London. But she’d made a spur-of-the-moment decision last week to book a last-minute flight—and it wasn’t just because she wanted to be there to support Nellie. She had other, more personal motivations; ones that involved Will Ospreay.
From Nellie’s perspective, Will had come completely out of left field. She knew that he and Torrance had gone on a few dates back in 2017—Nellie had even gone on the most awkward double date of her life with them and David Finlay—but up until about a month ago, Torrance had been involved with Robbie Eagles. Casually involved, admittedly, but involved nonetheless—and Nellie thought he was a much better match for Torrance than Will was.
But when it came down to it, Torrance seemed happy; and after everything she’d been through surrounding the contentious end of her and Ishimori’s relationship earlier that year, the last thing Nellie wanted to do was rain on her parade.
“Speaking of United Empire,” Torrance added. “Is Kyle gonna end up in more than just your DMs tonight?”
“Torr!” Nellie proclaimed; but she couldn’t help her grin. “Jesus.”
“I’m just saying; I’d support it one hundred percent. It’s your birthday and you deserve to get dicked down.”
Nellie flushed hot at Torrance’s frankness of speech; but it would be a bald-faced lie to say she hadn’t been considering doing exactly that with Kyle. He was the perfect candidate on paper for a night of no-strings-attached fun. They were friends but not close enough that it would complicate anything; she was less than two months out of a heartbreaking relationship, and he was only twenty-two—neither of them was looking for anything serious. And besides, Torrance was right: she did deserve to get dicked down.
“Well… maybe I will,” she smirked and her phone pinged again. But the notification sound was different that time; the one she’d set for text messages. She finished up her makeup and then reached for her phone—and nearly dropped it when saw the text was from Jay.
Happy birthday, Nell. And congrats on the win. Five defenses in three months is insane.
“What the fuck.”
“What?” Torrance asked, and Nellie realized she’d said that out loud.
“Jay just texted me happy birthday.”
“What?” Torrance was just as taken aback. “No.”
“Yes,” she confirmed, and she handed her phone over so Torrance could see it for herself. Her mouth dropped.
“Oh, what the fuck.”
“Now you see why I said it,” Nellie commented.
“Have you two even said two words to each other since you broke up?”
She shook her head. “No.” It worked Torrance up even more.
“And he just pops up to wish you happy birthday like nothing happened,” she said. “Honestly, I don’t even know why I’m surprised; it’s just like Jay to pull something like that.”
Now that she'd said it, Nellie wasn’t surprised, either; that was exactly how Jay had acted throughout the final three months of their relationship. After he’d won the NEVER Openweight Championship, Nellie had felt like he would put her on the backburner for days at a time until he’d suddenly remember they were together. That they needed to communicate, check-in with each other, be there for each other even while thousands of miles apart, especially while working through the uncertainty of their situation.
Except, they hadn’t worked through it. And months later, Nellie was still trying to work out why.
“You’re not thinking about texting him back, are you?” Torrance asked.
Knock! Knock-knock-knock! Knock-knock!
A rhythmic series of knocks on the dressing room door spared Nellie from having to answer, and then Will’s voice shouted through to them.
“Oi! Are you two ready?”
Torrance looked back at Nellie as she stood to answer the door. “Don’t text him back. You have better things to do tonight—like a six-foot-four Aussie.”
Nellie scoffed. But her fingers hovered over the keyboard as she looked back at the text, until she locked her phone and put it away.
* * * *
It was a challenge to find anywhere to get a drink after 11 p.m. on a Sunday in London, unless you knew where to look—and of course Will knew where to look. So, he called an Uber X and a black Range Rover arrived to take them away. On the ride, the conversation naturally turned to all their success that night and what shows they had booked next, at which point Nellie asked Kyle and Mark if they had any plans to wrestle in Japan soon, given that they were the newest members of United Empire. Kyle told her he hoped it would be sooner rather than later. And when Nellie grinned and said, “I hope so, too,” she really meant it.
But it was less than ten minutes before they reached their destination—and it really was the kind of place you needed to know about, tucked away on a side street in between much newer and taller buildings. On the outside, it looked like a typical English pub, a weathered brick-and-wood front adorned with an elegant hunter green sign hand-painted with gold lettering. But as soon as Nellie got out of the Range Rover she heard the pulse of dance music and saw the flash of strobe lights through the windows. It was unexpected, to say the least.
“Why does this seem like exactly the kind of place you’d know about?” Torrance said to Will.
“I’ll take that as a compliment,” he returned, and he took her hand and led them all inside.
The pub was cramped as it was, and it was packed wall-to-wall with people—at the bar, on the dancefloor, crowded around tables in the back. It was a dive for sure, and the atmosphere instantly transported Nellie back three years, to when nearly every trip to England had seen nights out with Riley to places just like this, and they would have drinks and Nellie would act coy even though she knew she’d fall into bed with him again.
And when Kyle put his hand on the small of her back, it felt like history might repeat itself with someone new.
“You want a drink?”
He’d leaned in to be heard above the music, and the ghost of his lips against her ear sent a pleasant tingle up Nellie’s spine. She nodded. “Yeah.”
She wasn’t sure if his hand found hers or the other way around, but their fingers intertwined, and he led her through the crowd to the bar. When they arrived, he guided her in front of him, his hand on her hip, her body tucked against his side.
“Shots?” he asked.
Nellie unintentionally leaned her head back against him as she laughed. “You would suggest shots.”
“Well, yeah!” Kyle returned. “It’s your birthday! I want you to enjoy it.” He squeezed her hip. It made more than just Nellie’s spine tingle that time.
He ordered a round of shots for the group, and they toasted to Nellie’s birthday and United Empire—“And Torr and Nell, consider this your unofficial initiation,” Will had said—and then they ordered more drinks and made their way to a booth in a less-crowded area on the second floor (Will's handiwork, of course). But Will didn’t stay long himself; Torrance pulled him away to the dancefloor, and once Mark realized he’d be third wheeling it, he disappeared, too, and Nellie and Kyle were left alone. They sat close, his arm resting behind her on the booth, their knees touching under the table. Nellie propped her chin up by her elbow and turned to look at him. He grinned.
“Do you know how fucking hot you are?”
Nellie couldn’t help it—she laughed. It was exactly the sort of compliment she’d expect from a twenty-two-year-old at a bar. But that didn’t make it any less flattering.
“I’m serious,” Kyle added, and he started ticking off her praises on his fingers. “You’re a bad-ass wrestler, you’re smart, you’re funny, and to top it all off you’re a fucking smokeshow. It’s not fair, actually.”
Nellie bit back a grin as she stirred her drink. “I’m also twenty-nine.”
Kyle’s brow furrowed. “And?” He was clearly confused as to why she’d mention that. “What does that matter?”
“Are you into older women?”
Their seven-year age difference was something that had been lurking in the back of Nellie’s mind from the day she and Kyle had started their flirtation. Not because it mattered—it didn’t, not if they were two consenting adults just getting their rocks off for a night—but just because it was there. Fact. And Nellie had never been with someone that much younger than her.
But it seemed to be a complete non-issue to Kyle. “Older women?” He laughed. “No—I’m into you. And I don’t think of you as an ‘older woman.’”
Nellie grinned again. “Oh, so you’re into me, huh?”
He nodded. “Yeah. I thought that was kind of obvious with all the flirting and compliments, but I can be more obvious if you need me to.”
“Oh, yeah? What’s more obvi…”
She trailed off as he pulled her into him and kissed her. And while Nellie had half-expected him to do it, she hadn’t at all expected her physical response to it. Kyle’s lips were soft, and so was the kiss, slow and sensual, one arm wrapped around her shoulders to draw her close, his other hand cradling the side of her face, his fingers reaching back into her hair. It was a purposeful kiss; attentive. Nellie hadn’t felt so coveted in months.
He broke away, nipping at her bottom lip just so. When Nellie opened her eyes, Kyle was smirking at her.
“Mommy? Sorry. Mom—”
She shoved him away. “Oh, fuck off.”
“I’m sorry, it was right there!” he laughed. “But is that a bit more obvious?”
Nellie smirked. “Obviously,” she returned. And then, like an intrusive thought, she remembered Jay’s text, still sitting left on read on her phone.
* * * *
Thanks. I’ve been trying to keep busy.
Nellie sent the text as they all walked out of the pub, when no one was paying attention. It was after 1 a.m., and alcohol had weakened her resolve. Between Kyle’s lips, his smile, the way he touched her, and the ghost of Jay still haunting the empty rooms in her heart, Nellie’s head was a mess.
“Nell! You coming?”
She looked up at the sound of Kyle’s voice and realized she’d fallen behind. She pushed her phone into her back pocket and hurried to catch up, looping her arm through his and falling in step next to him.
The guys had decided they wanted a late-night snack, and of course Will knew of a 24-hour bagel shop a short walk away. The guys went up to the counter to order while Nellie and Torrance stood against the wall, out of the way. It took all but a few seconds for Torrance to ask exactly what Nellie knew she would.
“So… will Kyle be giving you a birthday present?”
Of course Nellie had told Torrance that Kyle had kissed her back at the pub, and she was almost certain Torrance had gone and told Will. She stole a furtive glance at the guys out of the corner of her eye. She couldn’t hear what they were talking about, but by the way Will nudged Kyle and the grin on Kyle’s face, she had some idea.
“I don’t know.”
Torrance frowned when she heard that. “Why not?” she asked—and as if in answer, Nellie’s phone buzzed in her back pocket. She pulled it out without thinking about it—again: alcohol—and saw that Jay had responded.
Well it looks good on you.
Her head spun. Torrance noticed—and she already knew. She came around Nellie’s side and looked at her phone. Her lips parted in disappointment.
“You texted him back? Nell.”
“I know, but I don’t need a lecture about it right now, okay?” Nellie returned. She was tired, and a bit drunk, and a lot confused. And thankfully, Torrance was the kind of friend who could recognize that.
“Okay, but don’t reply to that one,” she urged.
“Everything alright over here?” Will walked over and handed a blondie wrapped in cellophane to Torrance. He nudged his chin at Nellie. “You look a million miles away, Nell.”
“Oh,” she quickly shook her head. “No, I’m fine. I think the night’s just catching up to me.”
“I’m sure Kyle could sort it out for you,” he commented, and her face burned. She barely had a moment to recover before Kyle and Mark joined them, bagel sandwiches in hand. Kyle took a big bite out of his and hummed in satisfaction.
“This hits the spot, for sure,” he said. He offered the bagel to Nellie. “Want a bite?”
She eyed it; it did look good. So, she grabbed Kyle’s hand and took a bite.
“Jeez, taking my food already!” he proclaimed.
“You offered!” Nellie returned through a mouth full of food. Kyle just grinned and winked at her.
“Well, shall we?” Will said then. “I’ll call the Uber.”
* * * *
When Kyle had leaned into Nellie’s ear in the backseat of the Uber and quietly asked if she wanted him to come back to her hotel room, she’d looked up at him and nodded yes. But she didn’t know if she’d hook up with him. She still didn’t know as they walked through the door, or as she changed into sweatpants and a t-shirt, or even as they cuddled up together on the bed, atop the covers. They didn’t turn on the TV or look at their phones; and even though Nellie still wasn’t sure, she did notice that the silence wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable. It didn’t feel like she’d made a mistake inviting Kyle back to her hotel room. It was nice just having his company.
“I want you to know I don’t expect anything to happen tonight,” he eventually said. “I know it hasn’t been that long since you and Jay broke up.”
Something ached deep inside Nellie’s chest. She did her best to ignore it. “How long do you think it’s been?”
It was a genuine question. She and Jay had kept their relationship out of the public eye even when they’d been at their happiest, and they’d handled their break-up just as privately. But there had been clues. Ones that Nellie assumed Kyle had picked up on.
“About a month, I guess?” he answered. “At least, that’s about how long ago I started to notice you sharing certain songs to your Instagram stories and posting thirst trap photos.”
A corner of Nellie’s mouth quirked up. “Oh, so you noticed the photos?”
“Of course I noticed the photos, are you joking? Those photos could make a blind man see again.”
She laughed out loud that time. “Well, I’m glad you noticed,” she said, and she saw him smirk out of the corner of her eye.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,” she nodded, her voice small but genuine. “It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve been noticed like that.”
Kyle’s eyebrows arched. “Did Jay go blind?”
“It sort of feels that way,” she said, and she started to withdraw again, into those empty rooms.
But she pulled herself out and looked up at Kyle. “But it’s his loss.”
Kyle smiled at her, warm and wide, just like he had when she’d returned backstage from winning her match. Just like he had been all night. “It’s absolutely his loss,” he said, and Nellie pulled his lips against hers, getting lost in the feel of him.

Jumping into your inbox with another song from the musical that made me think of your fic. (sure is funny that it happened twice 😶) Got all emotional just now 'cause 'Requiem' from Dear Evan Hansen started playing, and I thought of Don't Say My Name.
Specifically Saeyoung as Zoe, who's left bitter and angry at the way things ended, leaving him with no closure whatsoever; Jumin as Larry, who's deeply hurt and upset at his best friend leaving them all behind the way he did, with so many things left unsaid; Rika as Cynthia, which, in this context, is honestly even darker, 'cause she's very much in a worst state of mind as we see her in the Secret Endings...
Overall, my heart is broken, and I had to share my thoughts with you <'3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mia you've done it again! I used to love this song, it never struck me how fitting it is for this situation (though it's not surprising that Zoe's anger was always so interesting to me).
While (obviously) the Zoe/Saeyoung parallels really stick out to me, the parallel that hurts me the most is Larry/Jumin. Jumin would have done ANYTHING to help out V if he only knew the situation he was in. He gave him so many chances to explain himself, would probably have forgiven him if he did. But he did the most unforgivable thing of all instead, and sacrificed himself. I don't think that's something he will ever be able to come back from, and that thought wrecks me.
Tumblr media
And the parallel between Cynthia and Rika is fascinating! You could probably explore this concept better than I could but I pictured this as her finding solace in the sun and the promise they've made to each other to find each other in the next lives. She cannot face the reality that he's gone without falling apart completely, so she holds on to those little things.

magic mike franchise

one month ago i was admitted to the hospital with some crazy shit and i haven't been able to move around well ever since. luckily, i have some cool friends who have come to visit me at my dad's house in the middle of nowehere. but basically the only thing we can do is watch movies and my one friend doesn't like scrabble. but tis magic mike experience happened with a different friend. so anyways my friend came for two days to hang out and you know sometimes we're a little thirsty for looking at hot guys so we decided to watch magic mike and we enjoyed it so much we watched magic mic xxl the next night. i'm going to talk about the two movies as one.
first off, i didn't know channing tatum is currently dating zoe kravtiz.. um what? have you seen photos of them together? he looks like a 16 year old that hit puberty too fast and is trying to look unbothered and cool by riding a bmx bike everywhere. maybe he wants an escape plan when zoe kravitz gets approached to talk about her dad's dick after his pants ripped open on stage that one time. in magic mike though, he looks like a 20 year old who looks up to eminem and is really good at sex. i have to say, channing tatum is very charming and funny, he honestly reminds me of my himbo ex (bless his heart).
so there are six strippers and one mc: magic mike (aka white chocolate), the guy from blue collar, tarzan, the guy from csi, big dick rick, the kid, and matthew mcgounghoy.
below is my rating of hottness for each one from least hot to most hot:
7. the guy from blue collar: he is too pretty. his dancing is ok, it's not that bad but he's not good at gyrating. they describe him as the guy they have for married moms, and idk maybe that's true but he's like the kind of guy i would want to step on and not in a good way.
6. the kid: he was supposed to come across as super hot but yuck, he was not. he looked like someone stepped on his face and not in a good way. something about him made me think about this kid from the 8th grade who had a crush on me but i was best friends with his girlfriend and one day he told me he had a crush on me and i told him he was a pussy bitch.
5. tarzan: bless his heart, i liked tarzan the most personality wise, he was so cute and so big. he actually could not dance at all. i'm not sure why they cast him for this movie. there was one scene where they all did jumping jacks on stage and he didn't jump. he also couldn't gyrate. the last dance scene he didn't even dance, he just ripped his shirt off. i wonder if someone owed him a favor or just knew him and liked him and put him on this movie.
4. magic mike: i'm sorry mr. magic, but i just don't think you're that hot. you had the best moves out of all of them and you looked sooo good doing them, especially in the final dance scene in XXL but you're really beefy and you don't have enough hair... it just doesn't do it for me.
3. matthew mconoughy: he was only in the first movie and went by the name Dallas. he wasn't in the second movie cause he went to film dallas buyers club. i am honestly confused about my feelings for him. sometimes i think he's so hot and sometimes i think he is a bit wrecked. but his voice is like molasses and draws me in. i would call him if he was a phone sex operator. his dance scene at the end of the first movie made me feel things. i actually don't think i can talk about it.... to my future lover - please dress like a cowboy and dance for me PLEASE
youtube
2. big dick rick: ok um.. in one of the first scenes of the movie he is pumping his dick and it's literally in the foreground. he also has the funniest scene in the mini mart. and in his last dance sequence he pretends to marry a woman and then puts her in a sex swing and humps her to i want to fuck you like an animal by nine inch nails. i'm starting to sweat just thinking about it.......... maybe he is my number one....
youtube
youtube
guy from csi: i hestitate to put him as number 1 hottest cause in the first movie he had no hair and i wasn't that into him but in the second movie he had this curly mop that made him look SO good. but he is deffo not the best dancer but he's probably the most my type but keep in mind i am most attraced to twinks so you can't trust me but overall he is a hot latino guy with a big smile and out of a lineup of beefy white guys i'm sorry but he takes the crown.
youtube
basically these movies had horrible boring plot lines and incredible dance sequences and really hot guys. i think the best scene in the entire franchise was the stripper club in savvanah run by jada pinket smith, but i WILL knock some points down for childish gambino being in there making up love songs and looking frail - if the film makers could take anything back they should take him back. i was here for HOT GUYS and against the lineup of beefcakes he was NOT HOT (not saying he is not hot but in this environment he should have stepped away).
these movies were literally only made for people who like looking at hot guys and imaginging them doing them. you don't need to watch the movies just google the dance scenes. i'm here for it.
*** 10/10 ***

ANOTHER crazy Miraculous storyline I came up with this morning: Adrien dates Chloe
I don't mean in a 'what if' scenario.
I'm thinking like this is at least an episode or the status quo of the show for awhile.
See, whilst I want Adrien and Marinette to wind up together and be together, if this show is going to last 12-55 seasons, lets at least explore different angles. Lets at least see the characters in different relationships, including bad ones.
Sure, you could argue Marinette and Luka or Kagami and Adrien were bad relationships, but that's not quite what I am talking about. I'm not talking about people who could make Mari and Adrien happy (at least in the short term) but between emotional baggage and extenuating circumstances it doesn't work out. I'm talking about relationships where it is plain and obvious it is never going to work out and in fact be a train wreck. But, like many people (too many people, lets be honest), Adrien and Marinette make a bad, naive choice led by their hearts not their heads.
Of course, this scenario is so wacky you'd need to write it carefully to sell it. This is, off the top of my head, how you could maybe make it work.
On a weekend and there is some kind of social event that the school is participating in, Miss Bustier and Principle Damocles are attending too but it is optional.
Adrien is in two minds about going as it would have been his mother's birthday today. Obviously, Adrien is very low, but things go extra bad today. His father outright rejects him when he tries to do something with him to commemorate the day (it being just too painful for Gabriel). Nathalie is also busy, but, in one of her more selfish moments, side steps Adrien's attempts to talk about his mother because she is of course in love with Gabriel so it makes her feel uncomfortable/she has the opportunity right now to comfort Gabriel. Deciding that he is not in the party mood he opts for fencing practice instead and calls up Kagami for a sparring session.
Adrien loses at fencing bad due to being distracted. This has been happening a lot recently and Kagami has outright given up on him at this point. He tries to seek comfort from her, to open up but she also rejects him, throwing in his face how he's frankly not been all that nice to her (from her POV anyway, she doesn't know his secret) and now has the audacity to seek her out to make himself feel better, which was the real reason he called up Kagami today in the first place. She admits she wanted to instead go to the social gathering with Marinette and the others but chose him instead.*
Adrien next tries to seek out comfort in Nino, but he's too busy loved up with Alya to spend time with him, perhaps he is also at the gathering. Marinette is also seemingly unavailable, not returning his texts or calls, but this is because she is dealing with a villain, something Adrien is too down in the dumps to realise for awhile, forcing LB to fight alone.
When Cat Noir finally goes into action, they stop the villain but Ladybug rejects him for the umpteenth time, or maybe does it a lot more harshly than usual (if you wanna set this pre-season 5, he could also be redundant to the victory as LB has called in the other heroes, perhaps including Ryuko to rub salt in the wound).
Basically, Adrien is in an uber low and vulnerable place.
As for Chloe there are a few ways you can play this. But, what if her father is running for re-election and isn't around as much right now. Simultaneously her mother leaves for New York without telling Chloe, even taking Zoe with her. This pisses Chloe off big time obviously and when she and Sabrina gatecrash some kind of weekened social event involving her class, or the school, she sees everyone is displeased to see her there and is lavishing praise and affection on Marinette.
So, like in Penal Team, she actively invites Hawk Moth to akumatise her to ruin the day for everyone. In the course of the battle she very nearly kills everyone, including endangering Miss Bustier (who is still pregnant). The battle doesn't go well for her and Hawk Moth can tell she is going to lose. He actively withdraws the Akuma and tells Chloe he will never Akumatise her again because she has proven that she is simply incompetent.
When she is stopped everyone has had enough of her crap. The class, and school at large make it clear as crystal that they hate her. Even Miss Bustier can't bring herself to defend Chloe or implore the class into forgiving her this time. Principle Damocles suspends her from school, willing to risk the Mayor's wrath. Except her father doesn't intervene this time. He is actually furious because her antics have made his campaign all the harder and he isn't sure he is going to win. Her butler, aware of what she did, is cold and formal to her, having given up on her. Finally, even Sabrina walks away, saying enough is enough.
Basically, Chloe has been deconstructed, everyone having given up on her.
On this same bad day for both of them that Adrien and Chloe have a chance encounter. Both are lonely and desperate in this moment. In her vulnerability, Adrien sees not Chloe the mean girl queen bee of the school, but his first (and for the longest time, only) friend. Chloe of course has always been attracted to Adrien, but his status as her childhood friend right now is particularly important to her. Even if they were on the outs before, events have formed a perfect storm and they get together, Adrien now being too distracted to notice Marinette has begun replying to his earlier messages.
Obviously, Adrien and Chloe dating could cause turmoil amongst Marinette and the supporting cast. But at the same time, you could explore the full trainwreck between the two of them. Adrien could be turning a blind eye to instances of Chloe's bad behaviour (which there are fewer instances of since she is not going to school for the time being) and might even delusionally believe he can 'make her better'. Simultaneously, Chloe, having finally gotten Adrien like she always wanted, is starting to find he in fact isn't her type.
Obviously, it ends in tears but both have grown wiser as a result. Chloe might resolve to be a bit nicer or at least not go for boys like Adrien. And Adrien will try to be more wary of people like Chloe, realising it is foolish to try and change them
*Or, if you'd established this status quo beforehand, they might've been dating and she dumps him here.

You know. I’ve never properly been able to articulate how the Baker family makes me feel in my art, so I’m just gonna type it down here because my Madhouse playthrough has gotten me all emotional over them again and they deserve to be talked about just as much as the lords, because they are also Mother Miranda’s victims wether she knew of their existence or not, and wether she bothered to care if she did.
This is mostly about Jack and Marguerite with some Zoe in there for flavour.
We don’t get to see a lot of Jack and Marguerite before he infection (even infected, actually, they’re only in one scene together but that isn’t really them) but what we do tells us a lot. In the Daughters DLC, they’re in a far more stressful situation that you would guess by how they’re acting. Jack has found two unconscious people in a massive shipwreck, one of which is what he believes to be a little girl, and they have that to worry about on top of the storm that has already wrecked part of their property. But Jack and Marguerite manage to keep the mood light. They know how to make each other smile, they know what jokes to tell when the time is right, they had that whole bed and breakfast plan. They’re genuinely such a sweet couple for the small amount of time we do get to see if them, and it’s very intentional that their first REAL scene together as themselves in the Daughters DLC is just them being a sweet ,arrived couple. That’s who they were.
Marguerite was the first to go (and the first to later die, interestingly enough) and Zoe finds her first after the power outage. Marguerite attacks her daughter and Jack intervenes, but even still he’s not hurting her. He could, and he could have been entirely justified in doing so, but all he does is try to hold Marguerite back and tell Zoe to get rope to presumably tie Marguerite up. Jack is a strong guy as we all know, a single stomp from him would’ve ended the game then and there if the mould hadn’t picked up where Ethan left off. Marguerite isn’t as strong as he is even after being infected, her thing isn’t brute strength as much as it is Give Birth To Bug Baby Bodyguards, so he could’ve knocked Marguerite out or caused some kind of physical harm to her to keep her under control. He didn’t, though, and I’m guessing by his line after Zoe leaves the room (“don’t you make me do something I’ll regret”) that he didn’t even try to. The madwoman with the centipede flailing out of her mouth is still his wife. Jack never wanted to hurt his family.
This is the last we and Zoe ever see of Jack before the infection with the exception of the free my family scene with him and Ethan near the end of the main game, but we do hear him resisting. While Zoe is running from him in the Daughters DLC, he’s talking to Eveline with lines like “shut up, you ain’t real!” and laughter that eventually devolves into crying. I’d argue that there’s evidence of this in the main game too. Jack has some interesting voice lines to say the least, but one of them is him telling someone to shut up through grit teeth. Ethan stays impressively silent through the chase sequences with Jack aside from his breathing, so Jack isn’t talking to him. They are the only two people in the main house, so the only other conclusion I can personally draw is that he is talking to Eveline.
Marguerite doesn’t get to make an appearance alongside her husband when he asks Ethan to free his family because she is fully dead, unlike the rest of her family who are either saved (yay Zoe!) or killed off for good in the DLCs. This doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have her own heart wrenching cutscene though! In the Daughters DLC, Marguerite will stop Zoe to give her the key and apologise, saying that she doesn’t know what’s wrong with her and begging Zoe to go as she desperately fights for control. During this interaction, Marguerite strains to tell Eveline “don’t touch her, don’t hurt my family!”
Anyway, moving in from summaries, it’s made pretty clear from these interactions that Jack and Marguerite remember what they do under Eveline’s control. They are fully conscious but unable to do anything about it. Jack actually explains this in his cutscene with Ethan, and the idea of them being entirely aware of what they’re doing but unable to stop it is just so much worse.
Jack remembers drowning Marguerite, he remembers hunting down his daughter, he remembers cutting his son’s arm off, he remembers killing Ethan.
Marguerite remembers attacking Zoe and violently threatening her in the old house, she remembers infecting Jack, she remembers kidnapping Mia.
They both remember every victim, every moulded, every murder. They couldn’t do anything to stop it, but they remember every second.
The Lord’s were victims and they were prisoners, but they had some semblance of free will. Alcina in particular really revels in how violent she can be, going through maidens like the livestock she keeps them as and delighting in how much she knows she can hurt Ethan. Donna and Moreau are exceptions here (Donna especially, Moreau will kill to impress Mother Miranda and doesn’t seem too guilty about his own Cadou experiments though I doubt he fully understood what he was doing) but Heisenberg and Alcina are really just left to their own devices until the ceremony is brought into things.
The Bakers are different. They were never supposed to be a part of this. They were just a family trying to help a little girl. Their kindness is what killed them.
I’d also like to bring up how much pain they must have been in physically as well as emotionally. Jack sounds like he’s in agony during his mutated boss battle, struggling with all of his lines and crying out for his wife. I’ll re,mid you that by now Eveline has entirely abandoned him and Marguerite as her parental figures in exchange for Mia and Ethan, since Mia is her favourite anyway and now she has a father figure to go along with him. Jack is in this weird in between state where he’s not being controlled but he’s too far gone to the infection to ever regain who he was, so his sobbing for Marguerite and his family is very real emotion slipping through.
I know it’s funny to laugh at the bug pussy jokes, I make them too, but I want to take a moment to just think about that. Marguerite’s womb is tearing through her body. Insects are crawling out of her throat and through her raw flesh. Her limbs grow to unnatural lengths. Her womb is a big hive. It’s ripping through her body. The agony that poor woman must have been in, and sounds like she is in during her boss battle, is hard to consider when she’s taking bites out of you and laying bug hives left and right, but it’s heartbreaking when you do take time to consider it.
And Zoe, the unsung hero of Resident Evil 7, had to sit back and watch it all happen. She had to watch her family slip into madness without her being able to do anything and she coped by refusing to acknowledge them as still being her family at all. It’s Joe who has to remind her that they were still her family and that they did love her deep down in their true hearts in the End of Zoe DLC when she’s finally escaped the property. Zoe is stronger than I think most of us give her credit for, she shouldn’t just be looked at as the bad ending girl because she is honestly so much more than that.
I just love the Baker family, they really deserved better.

I saw a few people say that they wanted fatou to be the one to go see Kieu my to confort her, so this is it. Enjoy :)
(english isn't my first language so sorry for any mistakes)
Sunday, 18:05, Kieu my's apartment
She was a wreck. Kieu my had tried distracting herself as much as she could today but nothing seemed to work and when she saw Nora's stories she couldn't handle being alone anymore. She had texted Zoe about five (5) minutes ago and was now waiting in her room, on her bed, while watching Fatou's instagram stories over and over and over again. She was full on crying in her pyjamas and she knew it probably wasn't healthy to stalk her ex but she couln't help it. At least she looks happy, she thought.
----------------------------------------------
Sunday, 18:00, fatou's house
Laughs filled fatou's room. The cashqueens had moved to the skater's room after they had finished cleaning up the kitchen. They were talking about Ava's birthday that was coming up and how they were going to throw the biggest, most covid-friendly, party ever.
"honestly, I just want to spend time with you girls." Ava said, smiling and looking at her friends.
"well, maybe we could do something like friendsgiving, you know with friends only and a cozy little vibe" Nora offered, looking at the cashqueens with raised eyebrows.
The memories of that time came flooding in Fatou's mind. How she was so ready to confess her feelings to the girl, how she had ended up crying and yelling 'Love is a fucking asshole' with her friends. She had tried not thinking about Kieu my but to no avail. She seemed to be everywhere, in every topic, in every memory. Her heart ached at the thoughts. So she quickly tried to focus on the conversation happening instead of her ex, who seemed to be clearly over her.
"yeah it could be fun." Mailin said looking at Ava for approval. "What do you think Fatou?" She asked
"A birthday party with my best friends? On a friday night? Hell yeah I'm in." Fatou said laughing. "And maybe we could do a jamming session or a karaoke sort of thing" The cashqueens nodded at her idea and they went on with their conversation.
A phone rang, cutting them off. "Sorry girls, it's Zoe. I'll be right back" Nora said standing up and heading towards the door but the second she's out she walks back in, phone still in hand. She looks at Fatou. "She wants to talk yo you." Nora said, handing her the phone. Fatou looked at her amused but took the phone and walked out of the room.
"Zoe?" She said holding the phone to her ear.
"Fatou, hi. I'm sorry to bother you but I'm in a crisis and you're the only that can save me." Zoe said at the other end. Fatou hesitated for awhile.
"I'd be happy to help... With whatever you're in a crisis with" she answered still confused.
"it's more of a who..."
"what are you talking about, Zoe?"
"look, Im gonna be as honest as possible without being mean but.." she stopped talking for a second.
"just get to the point please."
"okay fine, you and Kieu my are idiots and I'm tired of you idiots not talking about your problems, like some silly idiots in love." Zoe got out in one (1) breath.
"I'm not an idiot" Fatou said. "And you were there, Kieu my clearly said I should stay away." Just saying her name hurt at this point.
"oh, Fatou.. She is hurting and in her mind it's easier to push you away than to actually talk to you again. She's scared of getting hurt more."
The silence was awkward but she didn't know what to say. So what does this mean? She thought.
"it means that right now she's a wreck and she asked me to come over but I'm done waiting for you two to figure it out because it is infuriating at this point." Zoe answered almost out of breath. Shit I said that out loud.
"I don't get it what do you want me to do? And why do you sound so exhausted?" She asked still not understanding anything that the blond was trying to say.
"because I'm coming over to your place to pick you up so that I can drag your ass to Kieu my's"
"what?! No Zoe I really don't think that's a good idea okay, last time I tried to talk to her I-" Fatou got cut off.
"Fatou listen to me. Kieu my vu is a mess and she's trying really hard to play it cool but she can't right now. She's been stalking you on insta for days, it's embarrassing. I know you guys had a huge fight at the party but that was stupid and I'm deciding to ignore it. You two need to talk and make up. She didn't cheat on you and you know it. She was hurt and so were you. The point is you're both in love with each other and everybody knows it except the two of you!" Zoe yelled out loud enough for Fatou to pull away from the phone. Her words were sinking in. Zoe was Kieu my's best friend, she had no reason to lie.
"okay." Fatou answered.
"okay?"
"I'm gonna go see her and tell her everything"
"great, you do that. I'll be there in five. Byee!" Zoe hung up. Fatou was breathless, her mind was in shambles at the thought that she could fix this. Zoe said Kieu my was in love with her... Wow. She knew she was in love with Kieu my but the idea that her feelings were reciprocated made her heart skip a beat.
She walked back to her room and opened the door, ready to tell her friends she was going to go get her girl but the moment she opened it the three girls stumbled back from it. Like they were listening in at the conversation, which they were. Fatou looked at her friends and locked eyes with Ava.
"we might have been listening a little bit." She heard Mailin say. The question was hanging in the air, Fatou was just waiting for the answer.
"go get her, chibi" Her best friend said, smiling fondly at her.
"really?" Fatou smiled brightly.
"YESSS!" The cashqueens said excitedly.
And so they waited for Zoe. She got to Fatou's pretty fast and they shared their goodbyes with the cashqueens. They got in Zoe's car and drove for about 10 minutes. The drive was pretty silent, only filled with small talk. Zoe was a really good friend, Fatou had noticed over time, How the girl had become more mature.
She was stressed to say the least. Rehearsing what she was going to say in her head over and over again. What if Kieu my pushed her away again? But the thoughts were pushed back. She was going to say everything she had to say and nothing was going to stop her even if she has to get her heart broken again.
The car stopped and Zoe cleared her throat. Fatou looked at the building and swallowed the lump in her throat. It seemed so much taller than last time.
"ready?" The blonde broke the silence.
"as i'll ever be" she answered.
They took the elevator. Zoe walked with her to the door and hugged her goodbye once they reached it. She said something along the lines of 'goodluck' but right now Fatou could only focus on the pounding of her heart.
She rang the doorbell and waited. She looked at the door intensely as if it would open faster. There were some noises coming from inside and then the door opened and there she was..
"Zoe thank god you're here, I can't..." Kieu my looked up from the ground and stopped dead in her tracks. She had been crying, Fatou could tell from her red eyes. Her hair was down and she was wearing confortable baggy clothes.
"Hi.." Fatou said smiling lightly, Looking at her and rocking on her heels.
"Fatou...hey" Kieu my's voice was small. She looked small and Fatou could see her eyes shining slightly. This was the real Kieu my, vulnerable and fragile Kieu my. But as soon as she appeared she was gone and her walls were back up. "What do you want?" Kieu my asked, her voice cracking a little a little bit.
"your soul~" Fatou answered, laughing quietly. Kieu my didn't look amused though. "To talk" she said more seriously.
"I- I thought I told you to stay away.. where's Zoe?" The ice queen's walls were cracking and her eyes looked everywhere but at Fatou.
"she drove me here" Fatou was still looking at Kieu my intensely hoping that she would catch her eyes.
"what do you want to talk about?"
"Us..." Fatou said and Kieu my opened her mouth as if to say something but Fatou continued. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for running away from my problems. I'm sorry for not talking to you but I want to, I really want to. I'm sorry for making you feel like you're just a distraction and like I don't care because I do care. So much.. about you, I mean. And I'm sorry for doubting you and I understand if I lost your trust but I'm ready to try everyday from now on to win it back. But most importantly I'm sorry for what I said. Because Kieu my, YOU are my world. And I miss you. And I get it if you don't want to be with me anymore but I just wanted you to know that I haven't given up on us and I won't, because I-" her heart skipped a few beats. Fatou took a deep breath in.
"I love you, Kieu my." She breathed out.
She was crying now and so was Kieu my. A few beats passed and Fatou was about to continue her heartfelt speech but Kieu my stopped her. She had been looking at Fatou like she had just been starstruck but now she was getting closer.
She placed a hand on Fatou's cheek and kissed her. Fatou let out a breath she knew she had been holding since the elevator door had opened. They both relax into the brief kiss andwhen they pull away they rest their forehead together. When Fatou opens her eyes, Kieu my is already looking at her. She wipes her tears aways with her thumb.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry." Fatou said after a moment of silence.
"stop apologizing, please" Kieu my laughed lightly. They were both smiling now. "You love me?" Kieu my asked, looking insecurely at Fatou.
"I love you and I'm never gonna stop saying it"
They giggled, feeling lost in the moment. Kieu my kissed her again, this time more firmly. They finally walked in the apartment still attached by their lips. The kiss quickly turned into more and Kieu my pushed Fatou against the door to close it behind them. Kieu my's hands were around the smaller girl's neck while hers were on Kieu my's waist.
After several minutes of just kissing to make up for their days apart they finally pulled away to catch their breath.
Kieu my looked at Fatou lovingly. "I'm sorry too... I shouldn't have ran away. And I'm sorry for being so cold to you."
"okay, can we both stop apologizing now." The small girl laughed. "And Kieu my?"
"yeah?"
Fatou took a step back and took the tall girl's hands. "Will you be my girlfriend?" She asked with her puppy eyes on full display.
"of course Fatou" they laughed and kieu my reached for Fatou and hugged her.
They hugged for a while. Living in the moment. Together
----------------------------------------------
Sunday, 19:37
Somehow they ended up in Kieu my's bed, cuddling. Kieu my was laying on Fatou's chest and played with her girlfriend's fingers. Fatou was telling her about how Ava and her had made up and how she found out she had dyscalculia.
"...And now I have to go ask if I can change from physics to biology."
"that could work. And then you'd just have to work for math and you'll be good to have your abi with us. That's great." Kieu my said, excited.
"yeah, the girls thought that too."
The silence was peaceful. Fatou looked down and smiled at her girlfriend. Kieu my was looking at her like she was looking at her whole entire world.
"what are you thinking about?" Fatou asked wiggling her eyebrows.
"I love you too, Fatou jallow."
Fatou flipped her girlfriend on her back and kissed her then and there.
"i love you" she kissed her again. "I love you" she kissed her nose and her forehead and her cheeks and anywhere on her face she could, and between every kiss she told her she loved her.
"stop!" Kieu my giggled when Fatou tickled her sides still kissind her face. She slowed down and looked at Kieu my lovingly. "What?"
"happy Valentine's day"
"happy Valentine's day indeed" Kieu my shot up to kiss her again.
The kisses were slow and Fatou made her way down to Kieu my's neck. She sucked on her neck like she had done the first time they had spent time together in her bed, leaving a small red mark there, as if to say: you're mine and I'm yours.
The moment was short lived when Kieu my's phone rang multiple time in a row. They both looked at it and then at each other. Fatou's eyes were pleading to let it go but Kieu my rolled her eyes and smiled, reaching for her phone. She laughed and put her hand on her eyes.
"what's up? Who is it?" Fatou asked still on top of her girlfriend.
"It's Zoe" She answered turning her phone towards Fatou. It was a row of texts with a lot of emojis. It read:
"So are you guys back together yet?"
"I was waiting in my car but I left after 30 min"
"You guys are my favorite couple💗💗"
"I hope you're not mad tho😘"
"I did my duty as your bff"
"love u Q!!💛💜💛💜"
"don't do anything I wouldn't do🤭😉"
"happy Valentine's day babe😗✌️"
Fatou laughed at the blonde's childish texts.
"what did she tell you exactly?" Kieu my asked still hiding her face with her arm.
"nothing really.." fatou answered "Is it true that you were stalking me though?" She smiled when the tall girl hid under the covers.
"oh my god, this is so embarrassing! It's just because I missed you, okay?"
"you're so cute when you're flustered"
Fatou grabbed the covers and pulled them down untill she could see Kieu my's face.
"I missed you too" Fatou admitted
"Is it true you had a crush on me?"
"is it true YOU had a crush on me?" Fatou shot back, pulling the covers down and tickling Kieu my's sides.
And just like that they spent the rest of the evening together. Cuddling, kissing but most importantly, actually talking.
That's how you do it. I meant to post it yesterday but then Nhungi (Kieu my's actress) went live on Tiktok and then I fell asleep and today my mom decided to have some quality family time and forced me to go on a three (3) hour walk. But here it is anyway. Hope you enjoy. sorry if there are any mistakes. constructive criticism is always appreciated
(I actually don't know if Zoe has a car but in my head she does and sorry if I forgot other things)

Battle of the Bands
Attack on Titan/ Shingeki no Kyojin
Levi/Reader
Modern Band AU
Summary: As the guitarist of The 104th, you are invited to play with your favourite band The Scouts.
Warnings: slight profanity but not much
Author’s note: I listened to Queen of White Lies by Orion Experience 10 times in one bus journey and couldn’t help but imagine Jean singing it about Mikasa. And voila! This imagine was born :)
Tumblr media
From a young age, you’d always been obsessed with music. From your dad playing jazz on a lazy Sunday afternoon to your mum playing R&B as she cleaned, you had always been surrounded by it. It followed you everywhere so it was no surprise when you were gifted a guitar for your 9th birthday.
You spent hours each day practising fingerpicking, then moving onto chords and then fully-fledged songs. As you grew so did tastes - and your guitar collection.
Before moving into the 6th grade, your family moved for a new job, leaving you without friends and having to start a new life in the city of Trost. The one thing that was ever consistent was the strings of your guitar and the beats from the speakers, which became your solace in the coming weeks. And said beats caught the attention of your new next-door neighbour.
Jean Kirstein was also massively into music, and when he walked past your house he could hear the amp blaring from your open window. He became enthralled and would often leave his window open to catch even just a few notes.
The Saturday before school started, Jean was forced by his mother to introduce himself to you (she said you had to have at least one friend before starting school) and by doing so Mrs Kirstein caused a life long friendship to bloom. He was forced into your house by your mother and lead upstairs to your room. He was greeted by band posters, from MCR to The Beatles, and an acoustic and electric guitar hanging on the wall side by side. But what caught his gaze was the massive “SCOUTS” poster above your bed.
“WOW! That’s so cool, you like The Scouts!” He exclaimed as he entered your room, causing you to jump from your magazine and stare at the brown-haired boy invading your space.
“WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?” You shouted, giving your mum a quizzical glare as she smiled at the boy's excitement. Your voice seemed to pull the boy out of his oasis and he met your eyes with a blush and a shrug.
“I’m Jean. My mum sent me, we live next door.” Before you could introduce yourself, he had already started to speak again “I’ve heard you playing your guitar. You’re really good!”
At this your mum left the two of you two it, only returning 3 hours later to find you both on the floor, with you playing whilst Jean sang along. Noticing the time, Jean jumped up remembering his mum warning to be back by dinnertime.
“It’s been great meeting you! If you want I can meet you outside on Monday and I’ll introduce you to my friends. They’d love to hear you play too! Connie’s really into the drums and Marco has been learning bass.”
Hearing this your eyes lit up and your mum’s heart warmed at the idea of you finally enjoying your new life.
“That sounds great, I’ll see you then!” You called as your mum lead him out.
                                         4 YEARS LATER
The years passed quickly and it didn’t take you long to forget the pain of your old life and become enamoured with your new friends. Jean did indeed introduce to his friends Connie, Sasha and Marco, and it didn’t take long for you to become the best of friends. The five of you would all meet Connie’s garage, sometimes just chatting but more often than not bringing along your instruments for a jam session. Four years went by of you playing lead guitar, Marco jamming on bass, Connie smashing on percussion and Jean accompanying with his gruff drawl, whilst Sasha sat atop of the counter, sadly not having any musical talents other than occasional tamborining. And the four years went by easily until Sasha let out a suggestion.
“You guys should start a band. Like a proper one, with gigs and shit” She declared, soon after stuffing her mouth with a cake Mrs Springer had brought in.
“See at least someone appreciates my musical talents” quipped Jean with a quirk of his eyebrows, causing you all to laugh.
“I’ve got to admit, I’m down! We’ve been playing for years, we even played at last years prom.” Seeing no reason against the idea, you voiced your opinion.
“Yeah but that was prom. We know all of them anyway, if we did gigs it would be to strangers and critics and stuff” Huffed Connie.
“Yeah, and potential talent scouts! Imagine if we got signed! What do you think Marco?” Jean turned to face he freckled boy awaiting his response.
“I guess it could be fun.” He said, tilting his head to the side and turning to Connie. “I think we should”
With a consensus of four out of five, all eyes were set on Connie, pleading him to agree. He spluttered, not expecting you all to be serious. After a moment of staring at you all incredulously, he finally gave in.
“Fine! But if we got told we’re shit it’s on you guys” He sighed, but was drowned out by all your cheers.
                       2 YEARS LATER
After that day, you had all put in the effort to perfecting your craft and coming up with your own songs. You and Jean would have weekly sleepovers, pulling all-nighters to get the perfect verses. And it wasn’t long until you booked your first gig, which was a success. Nearly the whole grade had turned up to support you, and you soon became a local legend. And in honour of them, you had named your band The 104th, due to being the 104th grade since your school was founded.
Your increased fame, got you gigs outside of Trost, on larger stages than the small bars you were used to. You had released your first album and we’re having a small jam session, when Sasha’s, who had taken up the role as manager, phone rang. You all carried on with your conversation until Sasha quickly stood up and ran across the room, her voice getting slightly louder, causing you all to stare at her.
“OMG! That sounds great, we can be there for the soundcheck in less than an hour. Thank you so much, for this opportunity. We appreciate it! Thank you, bye!” She exclaimed with wide eyes as her smile grew and grew. After ending the call she whipped around, before letting out a screech
“OI, OI! What’s going on?” Asked Connie, as he walked up to Sasha flicking her forehead as she squealed again.
“GUESS WHO’S OPENING FOR THE SCOUTS?!” She all but screamed whilst running to the front of the garage and throwing your jackets at you all. Realising what she meant you stood in a state of shock before opening your mouth.
“What do you mean? Opening for The Scouts. As in THE SCOUTS? They’re playing tonight, we can’t open for them.” You justified, meeting Jean’s stunned gaze.
You two had always imagined what it would be like to meet your legends, let alone open for them. After your initial meeting, the two of you had gone on for hours about your favourite songs by the band and sang along to them. You had even let him in on your crush on the lead guitarist, Levi Ackerman, for heaven’s sake. As good as an opportunity this was, you were a nervous wreck. It was one thing to play on the same stage that your favourite band had stepped on, but to play with them and meet them. That was a thing of its own.
You were knocked from your thoughts by a shoe to your head, and as you focused back in you watched Connie running around like a headless chicken. Attempting to back up his drum kit, he panicked until Sasha assured him there’d be one there for him. The rest of you seemed to kick into action and you ran about gathering your equipment before rushing home to grab gig-worthy clothes. You all met up back at Connie’s house before all piling into Jean’s minivan. Connie and Sasha were as loud as always but you, Jean and Marco seemed to still be too shocked to talk.
As you rolled up to the venue, you saw a queue of about 20 Scout super fans lined up three hours before the gig even started. You wondered how many were your fans, as Sasha had sent out announcements on every social media site possible after you guys left. You hauled your guitar case out of the van before following behind Sasha into the main doors of the venue. The crew were rushing about everywhere, and if you weren’t already used to the atmosphere you were sure you’d pass out. As you walked into the main hall, your eyes fell to the band on top of the stage. All five of you froze, in the realisation that you were in the same room as your childhood heroes. Putting your kit down, you watched as Hange Zoe lazily sat on her drum set, tapping out a quiet beat, as the lead singer Erwin, counted in the beat. Miche Zacharias swayed his hips as he set out the bassline, and Levi almost languidly strummed his electric guitar.
The five of you were pulled behind the stage before you could watch their practice start but you could still hear it as they performed their soundcheck. Experienced in the world of gigs, the four of you prepped your instruments, tuning them in case they had been messed up in the hurry of your departure. And by the time you’d finished the Scouts were walking towards you. Hange greeted you first.
“HI! OMG, we’ve heard so much about you guys. You guys are practically famous around here!” She blurted out, her excitement surprising you all. Connie seemed to be frozen as his inspiration complimented you guys. Miche let out a greeting and moved on to sit down. Leaving Erwin and Levi in front of you. Erwin stepped forward and placed out his hand, shaking and greeting you all individually. Now there was just Levi left.
Your eyes met his and you couldn’t help but blush, as he gave a small nod. Appreciative of the small gesture, you calmed slightly until Jean ruined it
“HI! We love you guys so much. Y/N even has a crush on Levi!” He blurted, his face turning bright red after realising what he had said. You gasped and without thinking smacked him across the head.
“WHAT THE HELL’S WRONG WITH YOU? WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?” But before you could apologise and defend yourself to Levi and Erwin, you were escorted to the stage for your own soundcheck. Glaring at Jean, you got in position, and were done in half an hour.
After the soundcheck, you were given time to rest, giving you all time to calm down, after the more than lively introduction. You eventually forgave Jean for his outburst but not without consequences. He would be carrying your gear for the next year’s worth of gigs.
You hadn't yet gained back the confidence to talk Levi but had spoken to the other members of The Scouts. Miche and Erwin told you about how their touring band had ditched them last minute and how they needed another opening band pronto. You were astonished to find out that Hange herself had requested you guys, but it filled your heart with warmth knowing someone as famous as her held your small-town band in high regards.
Everyone could sense your apprehension to talking to Levi but we’re all shocked when the quiet man joined you whilst getting a drink. You almost blushed when you noticed him next to you but pushed the feeling down and smiled at him. Although Jean had embarrassed you beyond belief, there was no reason to push away your childhood dream and miss the opportunity to talk to him.
“You know you we’re what inspired me to start learning the guitar?” You said. Levi didn’t reply but you decided his silence wasn’t in annoyance. “My parents were always super into music anyway but when I heard your guys' debut album it pushed me towards the guitar.” You watched him finish making his tea and leave but before he sat down, he turned his head over his shoulder.
“I’m glad to hear it” He replied, turning again and leaving. You smiled, happy that he didn’t think you were a complete freak.
                      2 HOURS LATER
The time had finally arrived. From the side of the stage, you could see a sea of people filling the venue and could hear the symphony of chatter. The boys were stood next to you, panting with nerves. You had never performed to such a large crowd before. You took a sharp breath before turning to them.
“Come on boys! We’ve done this before and we’ll do it again. This is just another small step before we get our own main stage like this!” Your small pep talk seemed to calm the boys and caught the attention of Erwin and Levi who were waiting to watch your performance from the side-lines. You smiled at the two but we’re now filled with dread as you realised they would be watching. You threw that fear away and gave Marco a side hug as you fixed your strap, and then followed Jean to the stage.
The lights blinded you but once your vision cleared you all but gasped at the sheer amount of sweaty bodies in front of you. You beamed brightly and gave a wink to a figure in the balcony. At least you could seem confident even if you were dying inside.
The beat of the drum surrounded you and Marco’s strumming blared out from the amps. You started plucking at your guitar and forgot about the crowd. Jean’s gravely word floated out into the dark room, and it was easy to forget you were on a stage and instead it felt like you were back in Connie’s house. As the song reached the chorus, you and Marco joined in, accompanying Jean. Eventually, you loosened up to a point where all three of you were able to dance slightly to the beat during the bridge. This seemed to get the crowd going even more and you let out a laugh, completely forgetting your inhibitions. [I imagined them performing Queen of White Lies]
Once the song finished, Jean introduced himself, and you prepared yourself for another half an hour of playing and dancing. But it passed quickly and before you knew it you we’re all sat on the sofa. Connie was still flushed chugging on his 3rd bottle of water whilst the rest of you leant back with smiles upon your faces. Your attention was piqued as The Scouts took the stage and you all shouted words of encouragement to them. This brought a smile to their faces, including a small smirk on Levi’s. You all rushed to the sidelines to watch and we’re in awe as you saw the four of them play as if they were reading each other's minds. It was as if they were symbiotic, each knowing what to do without even the slightest hesitation.
Even though you tried to focus on all of them, your focus always came back to Levi. You watched how his brow rested into a scowl as he neared a faster part of the song and how he threw his head back when lost in the moment. Your eyes widened when he took his shirt off after four songs, which Jean noticed, and started to nudge you for. Time seemed to go by so quickly that you barely noticed them finish their final song. They waved to the crowd as they left but stayed in the wings as the crowd screamed for an encore. Erwin still seemed to smile and nudged Levi towards the five of you.
“Do you guys want to join us for the encore?” He asked gruffly, his eyes set on you. You looked at the rest of the band and you all nodded before you verbally replied.
“Of course! What song are you thinking?”
“Nirvana - Love Buzz? You guys know it?” Miche asked, wiping some water from his chin. You all nodded in unison and before you know it you were all kitted up and back on stage.
The crowd went wild seeing both The Scouts and The 104th back on stage and you couldn’t help but smile as you found Levi stood next to you. You guys let loose on the song and you even attempted to have a little contest with Levi during the guitar solo for dominance. This gained a smile for the man, and you guys finished the song in no time.
Leaving the stage for the last time, you gave out a clumsy bow before running off stage. You guys went to get changed and pack up your gear but before you could get in the van the Scouts we’re back in front of you. Erwin took the lead yet again.
“We loved having you guys on stage with us! And after some thinking, we’d love it if you replaced our old band with us on the rest of the tour.”
At this Jean slammed the van door and stared at Erwin in shock. The five of you looked at each other in shock. The silence was eventually broken by Connie, who let out a scream as he ran around the van, followed by Sasha letting out profanities. The rest of you gushed and thanked the other band profusely not knowing how to appropriately respond. After formally Sasha accepted the other, Hange launched into giving out hugs, whilst Miche and Erwin gave out handshakes. Levi ignored the rest of your bandmates and made his way to you.
“I look forward to more guitar battles.” Levi remarked as dryly as ever but with a small smirk playing on his lips. Luckily this time, the others were too distracted and you were able to reply with some confidence.
“You mean to look forward to losing right?” you quipped, knowing this would be the start of something great.

Hart of Dixie: Wade Kinsella - Type 9w8
Tumblr media
Wade is jovial, caring and insecure. While he may appear to be a reckless bad boy at first, Wade has a great heart and cares deeply about the people in his life.
At his best, Wade becomes more driven and wants to be a better person for Zoe. He works towards his goal of owning the Rammer Jammer and his business is quite successful.
At his worst, Wade is insecure and sabotages himself. He has little self-worth and reads negative intent into people. Wade is shifty and believes that Zoe is going to leave him because he isn't good enough for her.
In direct contrast to Zoe's sophistication, Wade is a fairly simple person. He finds comfort in the simple pleasures of playing video games and watching monster trucks. When we meet Wade he is fairly content with his life and does not feel a strong desire to move forward in his career.
While it is not immediately apparent, Wade is a very stable individual and handles his life circumstances quite well. We learn that Wade had a difficult childhood, as his father was the town drunk. As his brother Jesse went off to pursue his degree, Wade felt responsible for Earl and had to act as a caretaker of sorts to him. This led Wade to feeling a sense of resentment towards Jesse as he feels like he is always the one who has to stay behind. I think that Wade feels somewhat abandoned by Jesse and hates that he is bearing the brunt of the responsibility for Earl.
Wade tries to project an image of not caring about anything. I believe this is a defence mechanism he uses to avoid being vulnerable to being hurt. However, we see as the show continues that Wade does care very deeply. For example, every month Earl threatens to jump off a building unless Wade sings him off the ledge. Every month Wade does this without fail despite pretending not to care about Earl.
Tumblr media
We also see something similar in his relationship with Zoe. Wade is initially very scared to show how he feels for Zoe because he is afraid that his feelings will be rejected. When they are in the scavenger hunt together Wade is very happy and he thinks that Zoe is reciprocating his feelings. When he realises that this was a ploy to get to George, he is deeply saddened and his walls are built up again. I think that because of this, when Wade and Zoe are dating in season 2 he tries to play it off as casual. I think Wade downplays his feelings because he is so insecure that Zoe will pick George (even though she has told him that isn't the case).
Wade sees how smart and successful Zoe is and feels inferior when he compares himself to her. He is convinced that he is just a pitstop and that she will leave him. I believe that the reason Wade cheats on Zoe is because he wanted to sabotage the relationship. I think that he thought that if he is the one to ruin it he won't get hurt along the way.
I think Wade and Zoe bring out a lot of good qualities in one another. As I touched on earlier, Zoe’s ambition rubs off on Wade and he is motivated to better himself because of her. Likewise, Wade brings out a sense of community and connection in Zoe. She also becomes less elitist and more attached to the town.
Wade shows his wing 8 as he is more rebellious and laid-back than a wing 1 would be. I also think that his conflict with Zoe over the battle of the bands shows his wing 8, as I think he felt like Zoe was trying to control him.
Tri-type: 9w8 - 4w3 - 6w7
Some quotes to describe Wade’s traits and motivations:
“Maybe I'm not 100 percent sure that you [Zoe] wouldn't hurt me if we started things, but I know that I have never felt about anyone the way I feel about you. And I guess that I realized it's worth the risk.”
“Maybe I wasn't happy being a - a placeholder for George Tucker.”
Wade: “I know it's not fair, but you wrecked by heart, Zoe, and I can't do this again.” Zoe: “What if I promise that I won't hurt you?“ Wade: “I guess... I don't trust that you know how to stop yourself.”
Zoe: “What is our son gonna think? That he can shirk all his grown up responsibilities by batting his lashes and getting some woman to do it for him?“ Wade: “Well it is the Kinsella way.”
Zoe: “Do you think all small towns are like this one?” Wade: “I'd like to think so, but something tells me probably not. I know I love ours.” Zoe: “Me too.”
Wade: “Sometimes I just think you're just the saddest person in the world. You're always looking over your shoulder wondering what life should be instead of taking it for what it is. You're not honest about what makes you happy. You what I'm going to do tonight, I'm going to go home and play video games for two or three hours.” Zoe: “Oh, good for you. Dream big.” Wade: “What I'm not going to do is beat myself up for playing video games instead of saving the world. If I wanted to save the world, hell, I'll do it tomorrow.” Zoe: “If you have time between video games.” Wade: “EXACTLY! Cause it's my choice. Just like it was your choice to stay in Bluebell, just like it was your choice to be a G.P. instead of a super sonic space surgeon or whatever. And it was your choice to go to bed with me. Clearly and something about everyone of those choices make you happy. The problem is they don't match up with the picture you made up in your head about what your life should be.”

Miraculous Flash Forward part 7: The Reunion
A Miraculous Fan-Fic
Written By
AJ Dunn
The festivities were meant to begin around noon and carry on late into the night. Finishing up with the Super Hero team’s arrival and hanging out. Adrien dressed quickly, hoping that his outfit, while casual, wasn't too casual for Felix’s liking. He was wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeve black shirt, and a light blue short sleeve, button-down hooded shirt. The hood was his new trademark style and he couldn’t go without it. Although he hoped it wasn’t going to be too hot for the long sleeves. He had a few bruises fro m sparring in his father’s atrium and broke a few of his prized statuettes. It was a good way to alleviate some of the frustration, hurt, and anger he had allowed to steep in him all these years. The world didn’t need to see that side of Adrien.
He made his way downstairs to his coup and pulled it out of the garage. His phone rang through to the car stereo as Adrien clicked a button to answer it.
“There is a tent set up at the back of the Place De Vosges park behind the stage, meet me there,” Felix ordered. “I’ll announce you at exactly 12 noon.”
“On my way,” Adrien said. It only took a few minutes to drive there, and he had a good 30 minutes, in case of traffic. Adrien parked the car by the curb next to the tent Felix had mentioned then rushed inside hoping no one saw him. He sat down at a chair set up for him and waited. It reminded him of his modeling days and wondered if Felix had hired a make-up crew and expected him to wear a custom Graham De Vanily line outfit. No such thing happened. He sat alone for a while until his cousin joined him.
“You look nervous,” Felix said.
“I just haven’t been in the public eye in so long, I don’t remember how to act.” Adrien stared at his hands as he leaned his elbows on his knees.
“The boy who spent most of his life as the model, sunshine boy, and face of his father’s fashion company?” Felix snorted a laugh. “It's muscle memory Adrien, just like your… your kung fu.” he gestured with his hands toward Adrien.
“But that’s not me anymore, and I don’t want to present as someone I’m not.” Adrien scoffed. “That’s the same as lying,” he emphasized.
“I guess…” Felix thought for a moment. “Just be yourself.” he narrowed his eyes. “But let’s not start throwing kicks or punches while on stage save that for the drunken after-party.” Adrien laughed.
“Only if you join me with some kicks and punches of your own.”
“I’ll think about it.” they both laughed. “It’s time.” Felix stood up as he heard the emcee Nino introducing him. He slipped through the opening opposite the street and entered the stage. Adrien could hear the crowd clap for him.
“Thank you thank you,” Felix said as the crowd quieted.
“These past 5 years have been a time of healing for all of us.” Felix started. Adrien’s emotions already welling up in his as he tried to swallow it back. He decided to practice his breathing techniques while he waited for his cue.
“Some of us.” Felix paused. “Affected on a more personal level. The family of the man who wrought years of torture on all of us without anyone knowing who he was. We, the Graham De Vanily and the Agreste family felt the final blow of Hawk Moths’ actions just as much as the rest of you and because of that. We have had to work extra hard to ensure our place in YOUR lives would not be clouded by the actions of one man. We do NOT condone his actions, we do NOT acknowledge him. We DO, however, ask that you forgive us our ignorance in his actions, and accept us as one of your.” the crowd cheered as Felix went silent for a moment. “And when I say we. I am referring to myself and…” Adrien stood at the opening waiting for his introduction. “Adrien.” He stepped out of the tent hearing even the quietest whisper die out. “Now, let our Sunshine boy say a few words, then let us celebrate once again.” He stepped away from the mic as Adrien glanced nervously at Nino. Nino gave him a supporting nod as he stepped up to the mic.
“I… I can’t tell you all, how sorry I am for what my father did to you all, but…” He felt a hand rest on his shoulder. He looked up and found Luka smiling at him. The wrecking ball in his stomach settled down as he turned back to the crow. “I had a lot to process but that doesn’t excuse my actions in leaving you all without a word all these years and I hope you can find it in your heart to…” he searched the audience until he found her face in the back. A look of shock and bewilderment as if she had forgotten to breathe. “I am sorry.” His words were meant mostly for her. He stepped back from the microphone looking for a clear path to her. As if the audience saw what he was thinking they cleared the way all turning their eyes on Marinette. Adrien ran across the stage leaping from it. Landing softly on the grass he walked up to Marinette hoping his actions didn’t scare too her bad as he approached her.
Her face froze in shock as he reached her. Bright pink tinting flushed over her cheeks as her mouth gaped open. He rested both hands on her shoulders as he looked down at her. She didn’t move so he pulled her into a hug. Finally, her arms came up around his waist and she pressed herself into the hug. She began to tremble in his arms.
“Can we have a minute alone?” he whispered into her ear. He felt her nod so he releases one arm from her and used the other to pull her along to the farthest side of the park. They found a bench and took a seat in the shade. He watched her as her eyes focused on the ground.
“I am sorry, for the things I left unsaid.” his voice quivered as he fought back the tears. She was crying and he knew he would be too if he didn’t focus his breathing. “I can’t expect you to forgive me…”
“But I do.” her eyes shot up to his. The moistened eyes and cheeks made him choke. He never wanted to see her cry. “I know why you left, I know it must have been hard for you to face us, to face me.” Adrien reached his hands up cupping her face on both sides as he ran his thumb over her cheeks wiping away the fresh tears.
“About that too, but I meant…” he could feel his cheeks warm up as he remembered her words that day, how she had told him it was okay if he didn’t feel the same, but that she loved him. “I should have told you back then. But I...I do feel the same.” Her tears seemed to stop suddenly as she looked up at him in surprise. “It has always been you.”
“But you said…” She choked. “There was a girl that you loved.” Adrien smiled.
“How many times did you deny to my face that you had feelings for me?” Adrien released her face and folded his hands together looking at the sky. “Even you can’t deny how easy it is to love Ladybug,” he said.
“Ladybug?” she giggled
“Are you laughing at me now?” Adrien smiled at her.
“It’s just. Well, you should ask her when you see her tonight.” Adrien froze for a minute. He couldn’t be Adrien while he was Cat Noir, and Marinette didn’t know that about him.
“I won’t be staying for that part.” he frowned. “I have to return home, I have, responsibilities.”
“Home?” Her face dropped to the ground again as her arm came up around her chest to hug herself.
“I have another confession for you.” He said taking her chin in his hand tipping her face to meet his again. “I live in Shanghai, where I teach Kung Fu to kids and learn how to cook from the World’s Greatest Sifu.”
“Uncle Cheng?” Marinette’s eyes widened.
“And I stock my closet with Marinette designs.” her face lit up at the mention of her brand. “Thank you for the bonus Cat Noir Onesie.” A realization came across her face.
“That was you.” she punched him in the shoulder then pulled her hand back quickly. “OUCH!: Adrien laughed at her. “Wait, what about the week I spent there with my parents?”
“I saw you from across the street, when you went to the museum, and when I stopped by the restaurant.” He sighed, he didn’t want to get Cheng Sifu in trouble. “Don’t be mad at him. It was I who couldn’t face you.”
“So, you have been in Shanghai this whole time?” She looked confused taking his hand in hers.
“Well, the last three years.”
“But we have been searching for you everywhere.” Marinette scowled. “Don’t you think I would have checked there first?”
“Oh, uh, about that.” he rubbed the back of his neck. “I uh, I changed my name from Agreste to Graham De Vanily, because…”
“That part you don’t have to explain.” she sighed. “When are you leaving?”
“Tomorrow.”
“Then why can’t you be here for the Hero Celebration?”
“There is… something I have to do. I might come back afterward if you want me to.” Marinette smiled.
“Alright stop hogging the Sunshine boy,” Alya said, grabbing them both by the arms and dragging them back to the group.
“What about the wedding,” Marinette asked as they walked back. “Your best friend is getting married. He needs you to be his best man.”
“I thought it was you getting married. Besides I don’t even have a tux.” he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly hoping she hadn’t heard the first part.
“Oh, I already took care of the tux, just in case. I did a favor for Felix in exchange for your measurements. He tried to act like he didn’t know, but I knew better.'' The group was dancing to Kitty Section. Adrien began to move as he stood in front of Marinette. “Who would I be getting married to anyway?” Adrien froze for a moment
“Luka?” Adrien tried to sound casual about it. But Marinette began to laugh as she danced with him.
“He and Zoe got married a few years ago, they have twins now.” Adrien was surprised but also happy for his good friend. He glanced up to the stage watching him strum on his guitar. “He focus’ more attention on making stringed instruments, but they have a record deal and they play venues like this.” Juleka strumbed on her guitar as Rose sung and Ivan played the drums. Adrien marveled for a minute when he realized the old keyboard was set up with no one playing it. The song came to an end and as if he could hear his thoughts.
“Adrien, care to join us for old times sake?” Luka asked through the microphone. He could feel his face light up as everyone turned to him cheering. Adrien climbed up on the stage and took his spot at the keyboard. A microphone was sitting in front of it.
“Forgive me… It’s been a long time since I played.” Adrien said shyly
“Take your time, brother, we haven’t played this one since you left, so it'll be a refresher for all of us.” Luka smiled at him. Adrien beamed at the reference to family he hadn’t heard in forever. Rose's voice hasn't changed much, it was still squeaky and meek but when she began to sing, she became a total rocker. Adrien never really understood the song about Unicorns, but it did have a feel good beat and always made everyone cheer. They played out the song as if it had been yesterday.
“Thank you Adrien.” Rose hugged him before he left the stage to rejoin Marinette, Juleka grabbed him after Rose then Ivan and Luka.
“Welcome home.” Adrien blushed hoping his feelings didn’t expose him too much. On his way back to Marinette, his whole class took a minute to welcome him home, grab him into a hug, high five or some other friendly gesture. Marinette waited for him where he had left her.
“We’re going to slow it down now and give Kitty Section a Brake.” Nino said over the mic. A melodic piano tune began to play and Adrien knew it well, it was their song. The song he and Marinette had danced to every time they danced. It slipped his hands around her waist as she lifted hers over his shoulders and he pulled her tight against his chest. He had to stoop forward now that he was so much taller than her. He tightened his grip on her and slowly lifted her off the ground. He was so deeply entranced by her as her arms tightened around his neck. Her face now buried in his neck.
“I just remembered how you loved dancing with your feet off the ground.” He could hear her chuckle a little at the reference to their New York trip. She lifted her head up from his neck as he felt her lips press against his cheek, then tucked back against his neck. As the song ended he returned her feet to the ground. “It is better this way, so you don’t step on my feet and trip us both.” He said playfully scratching the back of his neck. She swatted at him and huffed. He reached out to grab her arms as she pulled away from him. With her back turned to him he wrapped his arms around her again then placed a kiss on her cheek. He released her just as quickly.
Kitty Section went on to play a few more songs. Adrien took Marinette to get a plate of snacks from the buffet table and sit back down at the bench from earlier. The day waned on as the sun began to set.
“Dudes and Dudettes lets’ give Kitty Section a hand as they are done for the night as we now surrender the stage to Jagged Stone his first song is a shout out to all you super heroes out there to join us up on stage. Here’s Jagged Stone playing Miraculous.” Nino ran off the stage and disappeared.
“Hey, Marinette, can we talk… You know.. Over there?” Alya grabbed her hand and drug her away before Adrien could say anything. This was perfect though. Adrien snuck off to the tent and called on his transformation. He found his way to Marinette’s old Balcony and scanned the area waiting for the others. Ladybug was the first to land on the stage with Rena Rouge and Carapace at her side. Soon, Viperion stood beside Ladybug with Purple Tigress beside him. Polymouse and Pigella were there too. One by one the team that took down Hawkmoth took their places on the stage and held their stance. Vesperia landed flawlessly. Suddenly the entire team began to chat together led by Ladybug.
“Cat..Cat...Cat...Cat...Cat” Ladybug called out.
“Cat Noir!” the entire crowd called as his face flushed with joy. He thrust himself into the air allowing his body to sumersault just before landing between Viperon and Ladybug. With one knee and hand on the stage, his other hand on his baton he looked up to see the crowd going wild and cheering.
“Welcome back Kitty.” Ladybug said as Viperion stepped aside making room for him and Ladybug at the center of the stage.
“What’s a Ladybug without her Cat Noir?” He recited the words from Marinette’s card. They all struck their superhero poses as the entire audience lit up in camera flashes.
