Ice! Kwami Power ups! What better way to stay warm than the softness of fur? I changed some of their colors to be lighter since the colors that represent winter are mainly light colors with white. We’ll be seeing these power ups in Timey Wimey as well ;)

[ID: A set of four gifs featuring the kwamis; Barkk the Dog kwami, Kaalki the Horse kwami, Orikko the Rooster kwami, Sass the Snake kwami, Daizzi the Pig kwami and Xuppu the Monkey kwami, talking back to the offscreen Gabriel Agreste when he berates Orikko.
In the first gif, Gabriel says, “So, you’re utterly useless!” and Orikko exclaims, “I won’t be talked to like this, sir!”. In the second gif, Barkk reprimands Gabriel, “Oh, very nicely done! You’ve offended him!”. Despite being offended, Orikko claims, “Not at all. I’m not offended!”.
In the third gif, Wayzz adds, “Are you proud of yourself?”, and Orikko, again, claims, “Really, I’m fine!”. In the fourth gif, the rest of the kwamis start yelling at Gabriel, “Meanie! Meanie! Meanie!”, and Orikko finally accepts that yes, he is offended.

Zodiac Kwamis
Tumblr media
Mullo is an energetic little imp. She discovered long ago that people were startled by rodents, and it's been her favorite game to prank new users who weren't expecting her. Mischievousness aside, Mullo likes to encourage activity and productivity, to be clever, observant, and to develop her human into being a multitasker. She likes to touch on the promise of their own independence and self-reliance, but to also be open to being a team player and learning how to share leadership. Mullo can be a bit antagonistic, and will recommend betrayals and being petty/spiteful. Eons later, she and Plagg still have yet to make up when she lied to him about the race.
Stompp is strict, gruff, dedicated, and a little short tempered. He's very serious about responsibility and staying on task, he likes humans to take their time and be efficient. He dislikes dishonesty and dicey behavior. He demands integrity, for people to embrace who they are and work off their true strength. When his humans are strong, he likes to encourage his humans to shoulder the burdens of others when they are in need.
Roaar is bold and wily, she likes to see confidence in her humans, ready to face challenges, and likes to see them be mischievous and ambitious. She wants humans who are able to toe the line of being elusive but charismatic, and will guide them so they will be able to do so. Roaar would also work to develop her humans to be leaders, know how to direct and use people.
Fluff is energetic and observant and aims to be productive and on task, though she can be easily distracted and literally hop between tasks. She is a restless kwami and is impatient to see things completed quickly, but efficiently, though she does understand she needs to take care to not rush or stress out her humans. She is a kwami who doesn't really recommend confrontation, that it is better to flee and escape, to face that opponent smartly and resourcefully.
Longg is talkative, ambitious, and eager. He's a kwami who can recognize the hidden potential in others, and know that they just need to find a goal and reach it, aim for it, and what's kept within will arise and thrive. He's a very optimistic kwami, knowing well that good things will come to those who endure and persist, even in the face of failure, failure is not an end but a stepping stone, and he urges humans to keep going.
Sass is observant, a little quiet, manipulative, and patient. He's a rival of Trixx for having the most silver of tongue, and knowing how to direct and influence humans. While overall benevolent, he is willing to dabble in questionable choices, especially when dealing with enemies. He can be one of the greatest allies a human can have, and one of the scariest kwamis to irk.
Kaalki is the most elitist of the kwamis, very egotistical and poised, she demands a certain standard from her humans, desiring them to be wealthy or famous. She'd be put off by any human beneath her standards, but if she sees that potential, she will work to elevate them to her standards, make them famous or wealthy. In spite of her prestige, Kaalki stands that her humans must become the ideal heroes. Those who champion on in the face of hardships, who have a noble heart that step up for others; anyone who doesn't act like the ideal hero is bound to get quite the earful.
Ziggy is curious, ambitious, clever, sweet, and reckless. It was often recommended by Guardians that she was to be paired with hardheaded humans with her tendency to ram her head against theirs, either out of excitement or annoyance. She likes to urge humans to be creative, look upon the world in a new perspective, to be independent and ready to solve their own problems. She's also a notorious escape artist, back in the days of the Order, she rivaled Plagg in how many times she'd just disappear and go exploring.
Xuppu is volatile and impish. He will be nosy, hey himself in everything, and is very sporadic and lively. He can be quick to connect with humans, but also quicker to fight them. He likes humans to be adaptable, open to change on the fly, have a sense of honor to live by, and be active. The Order actually tied Xuppu with Kaalki as the biggest handful of the Zodiac (much to Kaalki's offense).
Orikko is blunt, bold, and egotistical. He likes to think highly of himself, and eagerly welcomes humans into his "flock", already having high regards for them. He likes to urge his humans to be clever, honest, and ready leaders. He prefers humans to take time to think things through, have a good plan before they act, for as courageous as a rooster is, it's still quite limited in fights, so they need to be clever. Orikko will also take up the task of waking humans up at the crack of dawn, and he likes to do so with a song.
Barkk is friendly and embracing of all humans, and she's a kwami who mastered the line between work mode and play mode, knowing well there's a time for play and a time for work, and she likes to help humans develops this as she has found humans who overwork themselves or prioritize play too much. She's the most empathic kwami, having a lot of faith in humanity and can easily understand their reasoning. In spite of her compassion, she is able to draw the line when dealing with an unruly human, and she is willing to bite to back her warning barks.
Daizzi is an easy going, brilliant, and affectionate kwami. Daizzi loves to eat, sleep, play in the mud, then get bathed afterwards. A lot of humans don't initially regard him as clever as a kwami and he will make use of that to take it easy. He is one of the few manipulative kwamis, specializing with empathy. If needed, he will try to open up a human's perspective, consider what they may be feeling. He is not above feeding into a human's vices though, as his power is changing someone's true colors. Much like Kaalki, Daizzi does prefer to be with wealthy humans, though it's nor a deal breaker if he isn't.

IOTA Reviews: Destruction
Tumblr media
Well, I'm finally back. After saying some pretty stupid things about four months ago, I'm ready to get back in the saddle and review the rest of Season 5. And honestly, it's kind of funny that as soon as I announce a hiatus, we get an influx of new episodes that, for the most part, were actually in chronological order. So I'm going to have to play keep up and review all the episodes I missed, which is about fourteen of them.
So let's just dive right in and get into the third (chronologically the third) episode of Miraculous Ladybug's fifth season: Destruction
We start off with Marinette looking over the Ladyblog reminding the audience that Monarch still has all the other Miraculous. While Alya gets her some tea, we get a nice little bit of visual storytelling showing how nervous Marinette is when she sees a video of Alya telling Ladybug and Cat Noir to be careful. Even if Alya already knows Marinette is Ladybug, it's easy to see the pressure she's going through now that the odds are stacked against her and Cat Noir.
We then cut to... Good lord, how many times do I have to say this? We cut to Gabriel monologuing to Emilie's corpse, saying he's totally going to get the Miraculous for realsies this time. He actually thinks of something smart and decides to order Orikko, the Rooster Kwami, to give him the power to travel in time again. Instead, we get one of the most confusing explanations for how the Miraculous work, and totally isn't something the writers made up to justify how overpowered they made the Rooster.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
youtube
Oh goody, not even two minutes in, and the writers are already retconning stuff to justify the conflict happening.
First off, you can't grant a power that belongs to another Kwami? Then how the hell did Rooster Bold multiply Ladybug's Lucky Charm at the end of Season 4? That wasn't a form of creation? Even if you go along with the dialogue saying it was a form of multiplication, that still won't fly because the Mouse Miraculous already has the power of Multiplication, and Polymouse was part of the team during that episode. Also, what about Caprikid, who can also create stuff with Genesis? Is that not creation either? And does this rule apply to just the Rooster, or all Miraculous? Because all the way back in Season 1, we got three separate Akumas with the powers of other Miraculous (Copycat, Antibug, Volpina), and in Season 3, we got an Akuma with the ability to copy a Miraculous user's powers (Chameleon) and a Sentimonster copy of a different Miraculous user (Ladybug).
Second, mind explaining what exactly the difference between a power and a wish is? It was already confusing when Astruc explained it, and you repeating the “explanation” isn't clearing anything up at all.
Tumblr media
What even is the difference between a power and a wish when the Rooster literally gives you the power to get any power you choose? That was literally how Rooster Bold described it in “Penalteam”.
Rooster Bold: Actually, my power is to choose a super ability, and I choose to score a ball anytime I shoot.
How is asking for the power to score a goal in soccer whenever you shoot the ball anything but a wish?
Okay, fine, the phrasing of wanting to locate the Miraculous of Ladybug and Cat Noir can be seen as a demand, not a power, but there are plenty of ways to work around it here. You could ask for the power to teleport certain objects to you when you're near them. You could ask for the power to sense the energy of the Kwamis associated with each Miraculous. You could ask for the power to teleport to any place you know a Kwami has been, like where the Miracle Ball is. These can all be powers and not wishes.
Finally, you already broke the rule about not being able to disrupt the powers of other Miraculous a while ago, as there have already been Akumas and Sentimonsters specifically created to fight Miraculous users (Miraculer, Kwamibuster, Ephemeral, Strikeback).
I get it, the writers needed a way to explain why Gabriel couldn't use the Rooster Miraculous to automatically win, but they wouldn't need to resort to these mental gymnastics if they didn't give the Rooster the power to use any power the user wanted.
Gabriel decides to get to Ladybug another way, by ordering the Kwamis to reveal Ladybug's identity, but because Ladybug never technically renounced their Miraculous, they can't tell him thanks to the failsafe that prevents Kwamis from revealing their holder's identity, something previously established in “Sandboy”. Gabriel has another idea: He makes the Kwamis tell him where the Guardian lives. This is honestly a really clever battle of wits here. If they did something like this when explaining why the Rooster had limits, I don't think I'd be as harsh to the use of that Miraculous as I normally am.
Marinette tries to go to sleep to get the recent events off her mind for now, but Monarch, currently unified with the Butterfly, Horse, Bee, and Turtle Miraculous, breaks in using Voyage. He asks for a “gift” Ladybug gave her, since the Kwamis didn't tell Monarch she's Ladybug. Monarch takes out the Bee Miraculous' top, essentially holding Marinette at gunpoint while she tries to get the “gift” for him. It's a very tense scene with the main hero in a helpless situation... so obviously, we need to throw in some Unfunny Marinette Slapstick to ruin the mood. It's brief, but I still don't get why the writers think this is the only kind of stuff they can tell jokes with.
Rather than a killer robot belonging to the Deathgalians, the “gift” is a key. Since the Kwamis technically don't know the Guardian's address, she supposedly set up a treasure hunt for them to follow in case they get lost. As Marinette lies about Ladybug not trusting her that much, Alya comes in with some tea and snacks. Monarch assumes Alya knows who Ladybug is, and right after he demands she tell him, Alya decides to cancel him on social media—I mean, broadcasts Monarch in Marinette's room, potentially exposing him to the world. Monarch simply breaks the phone and takes the key, breaking the Ladybug-themed keychain to reveal a piece of paper with a little note on it.
Tumblr media
You know, if I actually knew anything about The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy other than the significance of that number, I'd be all over this.
The number is actually the same one as a locker at the local ice rink, so Monarch uses Voyage again (even though he didn't recharge) to teleport there. Philippe, a figure skating teacher, assumes that Monarch is there for a skating lesson, and then takes a selfie with the dangerous supervillain. You know, Monarch, it's late at night, and there don't seem to be any witnesses. Just saying...
After opening the locker, Monarch finds another piece of paper with a picture of a wax statue of Cat Noir and the word “street”, making him realize the papers contain an address. Monarch heads to the Musée Grévin, a real life wax museum that we first saw in “Puppeteer 2”, and even has wax statues of Ladybug and Cat Noir on display whose creation was overseen by Thomas Astruc and Jeremy Zag themselves.
Tumblr media
No joke here. I just thought that was really cool.
Monarch breaks into the exhibit with the in-universe statues of Ladybug and Cat Noir, only to reveal the entire treasure hunt was a trick to corner him. Ladybug ties Cat Noir's hand to Monarch's arm and uses her Lucky Charm, some kind of fire hose, to tie him up while the doors of the exhibit are locked down.
So Monarch is pinned down, and with one wrong move, he's as good as dead if he tries to escape. Obviously, Ladybug learned from her mistakes in “Evolution”, and now, she's going to take back all of Monarch's Miraculous.
Tumblr media
… And now she's going to take back all of Monarch's Miraculous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
… And now she's going to take back all of Monarch's Miraculous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And NOW she's going to take back—Okay, you know where this is going.
Yeah, I'm not making this up when I say it takes 84 seconds, over a minute, to for Ladybug to explain her plan, once again say they're going to take Monarch's Miraculous, and casually stroll over to slowly take away the Butterfly Miraculous before Monarch decides to let Cat Noir Cataclysm his arm so the ensuing shock gives him the chance to use Voyage to teleport back. ARE. YOU. KIDDING ME?!
youtube
You had him right there, you idiot! After you failed to take back more than a single Miraculous because you kept saying you were going to do it, you decided to waste time gloating like this was a Sherlock Holmes novel. Even in Scooby-Doo, they usually saved the explanations for after the monster was unmasked, which you should have done with Monarch.
It's framed as a crushing defeat for the heroes, but it only happened because they spent their time screwing around instead of nabbing every Miraculous littered across Monarch's body. Also, check out Cat Noir's response to accidentally Cataclysming Monarch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, funny how you didn't act this way when you assumed Scarabella was a threat in “Hack-San”, isn't it? And spoilers for the next episode, he doesn't exactly let this affect him or the way he operates the next time he uses his Cataclysm on an Akuma.
Because Monarch ran off with Ladybug's Lucky Charm, Ladybug can't fix the damage, so neither of them really know what's going to happen to Monarch now. We then cut back to Marinette and Alya, where Marinette explains her plan... which is kind of redundant since the whole reason Monarch got away was because she took the time to explain it in the first place. Yeah, she explains the reasoning for it and how she prepared, but there's no reason for her to go into detail about this plan when we already saw it in action. She seriously explains all of this for almost four minutes, and I'm pretty sure it's just to pad the runtime.
We then cut to, of all things, Adrien telling Gabriel he doesn't want to model anymore. Yeah, in a pretty clever twist, this episode actually takes place during the events of “Multiplication”. We see that during that scene, Gabriel was still reeling from the Cataclysm wound, which somehow managed to go through his super suit and mark his skin.
Tumblr media
And remember that suit that somehow manages to make him look like he has the worst traits of Colonel Sanders, Steve Jobs, and the Tumblr sword lady? That was to cover up the wound and go with his new Miraculous. Because yeah, a bright white suit is the perfect way to hide a dark purple splotch on your skin. Somehow, Gabriel managed to use some lasers to break down the Miraculous (even though “Queen Wasp” established they were indestructible without a Cataclysm as the exception) and through his new partnership with Tomoe, turned them into the high-tech Alliance rings he can use to safely channel the powers of each Kwami through. Also, he finally shut them up by putting them in cages where they can't fight back. All of this is building up to Gabriel transforming into his new Monarch form for the first time. Yeah, the Monarch we saw for the first three episodes? That was just the prototype meant to look ridiculous, so obviously, this one's going to look better, right? Well...
Tumblr media
Yeah, this somehow looks worse. The purple bodysuit just doesn't look menacing, and once again, the skin being purple doesn't make sense. Also, I don't even know why the eyes are blue. It honestly looks like a worse version of Oblivio, but at least with Oblivio, the basic design was intentional. There's just too much purple, and it doesn't look as stylish as Hawkmoth's original design.
And of course, this means I have more jokes to make about his appearance.
He looks like a walking fiber supplement, and not kind you take orally.
Gabriel, you know you don't have to wear your swim cap outside of the pool, right?
Remember when the worst thing about Gabriel's villain form was the feather monocle? I miss those good times...
I wonder if this means Gabriel smells like grapes now.
My God, Gabriel's become an Anacondrai cultist, and a really stupid-looking one at that!
It's bad enough that the Rooster Miraculous' power makes no sense, but it can't even give Gabriel the power to have better sense of fashion?
Wait a minute, that's just a giant crayon!
This form looks like what would happen if you could wear a type of wine.
Okay, I know cartoon reboots are the hottest thing right now, but who the hell was asking for a reboot of the California Raisins commercials?
You know, it'd be funny if Gabriel's favorite color wasn't even purple.
When Gabriel said he was planning on cosplaying as a Klingon, I didn't think he meant the Klingons from Discovery.
Nothing says “sinister supervillain” like a suit that's the same shade as a ripe eggplant.
It's sad that this new form was upstaged by the main villain of The Owl House possessing a teenager wearing a wolf shirt a few days before this episode originally aired.
Just remember, Gabriel destroyed the other Miraculous to achieve this form.
Wow, this form looks just as badass and menacing as Kamen Rider Horobi... in that it exists, and has a slightly similar color scheme.
The more forms Gabriel gets, the more I hate the color purple.
From what I've heard, the Monster High reboot gave one of the main characters pink skin for some reason. To the people who are upset at the change, be glad she doesn't look as ridiculous as Gabriel does now.
So is this what happens when a chameleon only knows how to camouflage with a single color?
Even Dark Truder would think this guy looks like a dork.
He looks less like a supervillain and more like a caterer for a color-themed wedding.
Just when you thought the MCU had the absolute worst incarnation of the Mandarin (the Ben Kingsley one, not whatever Shang-Chi did with the character's magic rings).
This form looks like the kind of clothes used to test the power of stain removers during a commercial.
Okay, come on, guys. What does Gabriel's new form actually look like? This can't seriously be the final draft, right?
I'm pretty sure this form counts as a crime against anyone who likes the color purple.
This looks like one of the few disguises Robbie Rotten wouldn't wear.
To paraphrase Bill Corbett, “Gabriel, you sold us out to Big Prune, man!”
Apparently, Gabriel's eyes were originally going to be purple too, but he thought that would make him look stupid.
But again, the funniest joke is the fact that Gabriel thinks he somehow looks cooler in this form. Anyway, the episode ends with Monarch saying that he's totally going to beat Ladybug and Cat Noir this time and that he won't be fooled again, even though he’s barely gotten close to his goal after four seasons (not counting the recent victory that was given to him thanks to Felix).
Anyway, this episode was just okay. There honestly wasn't that much for me to talk about, as the plot was pretty straightforward and answered some questions as to why Monarch can't easily win now that he's arguably the most powerful he's ever been. Admittedly, the problems lie more in how those questions are answered, like how the writers went out of their way to explain why the Rooster Miraculous is the definition of having the power to do whatever the plot needs it to do and not do.
Ladybug's plan was also pretty clever, and while I chided her for letting Monarch escape, unlike the other times she failed to take action when she had the chance, I'm more willing to let this time slide. Sure, her explanation took long enough for Monarch to weigh the pros and cons of seriously hurting himself if it means he can live to fight another day, but sort of like the fight between Dr. Watts and General Ironwood in RWBY, neither Ladybug or Cat Noir really thought Monarch would go through with damaging his arm like that. They were in a position of power, and thought they had won. If the scene ended with Ladybug belittling herself for being overconfident instead of just moping about how Monarch escaped again, this whole setup could have worked more.
One thing I thought was pretty weird was that despite being titled after the concept his Miraculous is based on, Cat Noir barely gets to do anything here. Okay, sure, the title of “Destruction” could refer to the fact that Monarch was wounded by the power of destruction, but he doesn't get any scenes after Monarch escapes. You could have easily thrown in a scene where Adrien was sitting in his room and talking to Plagg about what happened, potentially even calling back to what happened with Uncanny Valley in the New York Special. But instead, I guess the writers thought it would make more sense for Ladybug to take even longer to explain her plan to the viewers who didn't understand it the first time it was explained to them.
Overall, this is easily the least offensive episode of the season so far. The problems I have with it are very minor compared to ones I had with the previous two episodes.
THE BIGGEST IDIOT OF THE EPISODE IS... XUPPU
Tumblr media
Ever since Season 4, the Kwamis have all been relegated to annoying little mascots with the combined intellect of a kindergarten student, but Xuppu in this episode really took this to a new level. He generally kept screwing around even when he was basically being held hostage, and while the other Kwamis at least tried their best to calmly explain why Gabriel couldn't use the Rooster to get everything he wanted, he just went on this condescending little tangent about how simple the rules are for Gabriel. I get it's in his personality to be mischievous, but it was pretty dumb how he didn't seem to be taking things seriously.
While it might seem like Marinette should have won the award, I'm grading these characters based on their actions throughout the episode. Basically, if a character does something smart, it “deducts” points from their overall actions. For example, if Cat Noir did something reckless in a later episode when he came up with a pretty smart plan to defeat an Akuma early on, both actions would be balanced out, and it would be less likely that he would get the Biggest Idiot Award. Therefore, someone like Xuppu is more likely to get the award instead.

Fanfiction Prompt
Because they are the embodiment of concepts, kwami are strongly affected by things tied to their concept. For example, if the horse Miraculous were in the USA, Kaalki would get a huge power boost on the Sunday after Thanksgiving - the busiest travel day of the year. Thus it is that, at 11am on April 1st, Marinette finds a note lost in the bottom of some things Fu left her. "Master Fu: Note to self, Xuppu MUST be sealed on last day of March and not released again until April 3rd. DO NOT FORGET." Uh-oh...

Hero LineUp (1/3)
I finally finished writing up the pairings and reasons, but it was too long for one post, so I'm slicing them up and here are the first five... enjoy.
We first begin our roster with the golden child himself, Adrien Agreste. I thought this one was a no-brainer so I decided to give him Tikki as his kwami as I think the pairing is a very interesting one plus he could use a warm light in his cold dark room. Our next pairing is with one of my favorite characters Marc, but when it came to which miraculous to give them I decided on Barkk as their kwami for the sole reason that they're good at soccer which isn't a valid reason, but this was one of the kwamis I had difficulty, so cut me some slack, but I must say I can see the pair playing ball together and Marc deserves all the "Adoration" hehe get it. For this next one, I was okay with being Aurore and Longg since I would think Aurore would be very knowledgeable on the weather since she ran for weather girl and Longg's powers are the makings of a storm plus she would have a head start with the powers as she's been akumatized as Stormy Weather. Let me be honest with y'all, I loved Chloe's character since S1 and 2, so I refuse to believe what "Ass-truc" did to her character just because she's someone who bullied him in real life to me that's no excuse to waste a character, so with that ramble out of the way I gave her Xuppu to shake up the formula as I could see them having a rocky start, but slowly during a much-needed arc they become good friends. This next one doesn't deviate from canon that being Ivan and Stompp. I did try to pair Ivan with another kwami, but in the end, he and Stompp just felt right, so we carried on.

What do you think would be the canon kwamis favourite hobies?
Tikki - Planning out the next generation of giant reptiles that Plagg will not destroy this time. xD On a more serious note, I think Tikki would easily be consumed with the internet and all the information and stories and art on it.
Plagg - Cheese tasting. But not just flat out eating cheese, but I feel he would like to go all out fancy. And not just cheese tasting, but he would like things like wine tasting too, etc. Just luxury and food somewhere he can laze about and eat, but feel like the king he is.
Longg - I think Longg would enjoy reading a nice long book. xD But I do think he'd love to read.
Fluff - Watching history documentaries, just so she and her holders can mock them for how wrong they are.
Sass - Sass loves calming things; reading, music and the like. However he's also a big sucker for gossip, though he doesn't admit it.
Wayzz - Puzzles, whether it be actual puzzles or something like crosswords or Sudoku. He also loves learning about the modern world.
Orikko - He's definitely a singer. Vote's out on if he's a good one though.
Kaalki - I think outer space would capture her attention. Not that she's unfamiliar with it, but rather she loves seeing everything humans have managed to do with space, from space travel to powerful telescopes.
Barkk - I can see her becoming super invested in TV shows and their fandoms. (She's one of us!)
Daizzi - Looking at baby animal pictures. They are all adorable, whether it be dogs, deer, snakes, or larva.
Mullo - I could see them being an avid collector, of what? Well that changes every few decades. Their corner of the Miracle Box is stuffed with random things they've collected over the years.
Pollen - I think Pollen would have a cute little garden. :)
Ziggy - Okay but Ziggy in a chefs hat cooking.
Stompp - She loves Janga, though her favorite part is when it all comes tumbling down.
Trixx - Disney movies. And practical jokes, of course. And Pokemon.
Xuppu - He loves games of any kind. Board games, party games, video games, card games, etc. Anything fun that he can do with others. The problem is that if he has no one to play with his favorite game becomes playing pranks on everyone.
Roaar - A connoisseur of music. From classical to heavy metal.
Liiri - Stargazing.
Nooroo - Not being used for evil, being with other kwamis, hugs, being treated like a living creature, drinking fine wine.
Duusu - Video games! And fanfiction. They are a huge shipper and you can't change my mind.

Derision Break-Up AU:
(Leak spoilers, I guess.)
So, I’m a HUGE Kimdine shipper, and Derision hurts my heart. I wanted them to stay together, but Kim was really out of line and I was really torn. So my brain made this! Enjoy, I guess!
-Ondine does end up dumping Kim after Derision. She’s angry with him about his actions, his lack of regard for Marinette’s feelings, and believes he’s still fixed on Chloé. She storms out and leaves him stunned.
-After the shock wears off, Kim is left completely heartbroken and breaks down in devastated tears. He nearly gets reakumatized, this time into Dark Cupid again, though thankfully he is able to resist, with some help from Ladybug.
-With her anger and the bad terms of the breakup, they don’t stay friends like they were before they started dating. She refuses to speak or have anything to do with him, leaving him even more crushed.
-Following the breakup, Kim is left extremely depressed, unable to find his usual motivation or exuberance. He starts falling behind even more in school and is even struggling with his various sports, shocking everyone. Thankfully, when he receives his miraculous full-time, Xuppu is able to snap him out of it, stating that he’s never going to get another chance, and he’ll lose his friends too, if he keeps moping around and pushing everyone away instead of working to be better.
- Motivated by the words of his Kwami, Kim decides to really start making up for his past behavior, be the good guy Ladybug believes he is. He starts by apologizing to all his classmates for things he’s done to hurt them, including Ivan, Alya, and of course, Marinette. He promises to work hard and do better, and everyone accepts his apology with some thought, seeing that he means it. (CLASS GROUP HUG💖)
-Later, he ends up having a one-on-one talk with Marinette, and he tells her about the breakup, and how much he misses Ondine, that he realizes he may never get another chance to be with her, but he wishes they could at least be friends again. She encourages him that, if he really loves her, he shouldn’t give up, to try and do things the RIGHT way. To be kind to her and try to be a good friend, because you never know what may happen.
-Kim struggled for a while with feeling like he was worthy to be a hero, despite affirmations from his team. (He actually bonds a lot with Miss Hound over it.) But he was able to work through those feelings by genuinely making the effort to be a better, more considerate person and friend. (Minding what he says, apologizing when he upsets someone, trying to be more helpful and less competitive, etc.) He even was able to pull his grades up more than what they were before his slump! (Max was so proud.)
-Kim took Marinette’s advice to heart, and he wrote a note to Ondine apologizing for everything and saying that he hoped they can be friends again if she feels up to it. It didn’t immediately earn her forgiveness, but it started to chip away at the ice between them. Kim just tried his best to be good to her while respecting her boundaries. Offering his help whenever he could and just going out of his way to be kind to her, show her that he still cared. He even gave her a birthday present he made himself, a shell necklace beaded with small pearls and clay beads (Nath may have helped him a little). (He got the idea when he found a shiny oyster shell that was almost a perfect heart.) (The girls gushed over it for hours)
-It was a slow process, but Ondine slowly warmed up to her ex again as she saw how much he’d changed, grown up. What finally truly broke the ice between them was when her boyfriend at the time forgot to pick her up from volleyball practice(she plays a lot of other sports too) while it was pouring rain, leaving her waiting for almost fifteen minutes, before Kim’s basketball practice had let out and he’d offered to drive her home. (Kim gets a Jeep that’s outfitted for off-roading, FIGHT ME.) He was able to cheer her up by just being his goofy self, and she admitted that she had missed this, the way they were before. After that, they were able to get back to their closeness before the Syren Fiasco.
-Ondine ended up dating two other guys in the timespan leading up to the summer before their final year of Lyceè. Despite how unbelievably painful it was for him to see her with someone else, he supported her through both relationships. He himself went on dates with a few people, but it never went beyond that. They just…weren’t her.
-Ondine broke up with BF #2(another guy from the swim team) when she found out he’d been cheating on her with a girl she had considered to be one of her closest friends. (No need to kill BF #1, don’t worry! He was a longtime friend she was in choir with(I HC that she loves to sing and has a beautiful voice.), and they just decided they were better off as friends and broke it off on good terms!) She ran off in tears after cussing them both out, and ended up at the pool.
-Kim ended up being the one to find Ondine after the whole snafu, and being a good, caring friend, listened and tried his best to comfort her. (“You want me to kick his ass for you? I wouldn’t mind.”) But when Ondine started to say that maybe there was a reason her relationships don’t work out, that she’s just not good enough, he cut off that thought, telling her how sweet, funny, beautiful and all around awesome she was. His emotions were at a high, and he ended up blurting out “That’s why I love you so much!”, before freezing with the realization. Mistaking her stunned silence for her being upset about his (accidental) confession, he apologized and ran off in tears.
-After Kim ran off, Ondine was left alone with her confused thoughts and feelings. She knew her feelings for him had been coming back full force as of late, but she was lost on whether she should act on them. After talking with the girls for a while, both the Girl Squad and her own school friends, she decided that this was a good thing and she should take her chance while it was here.
-After she had sorted herself out, Ondine went to find Kim, hoping a butterfly hadn’t gotten to him first. Thankfully, he still had his magic charm, (I don’t think Chrysalis would be able to master Megakumas quickly) so no akuma. She had a lot of things she had thought of to say…but she ended up just kissing him. A LONG kiss, mind you. Afterwards, they had a good talk and decided maybe it was time to give this another shot.
-Despite knowing they loved each other, Kim and Ondine were both nervous entering a relationship again. They gave each other space for a few days, before going on a ‘second first date’, going on more dates after that went well. It was two months before they officially got back together, and another three weeks before they kissed again(aside from pecks on the cheek). They were both just shy, okay? But they were happy, and all their friends were happy for them.
-As happy as they were, there were still some things under the rug when they got back together. In the early stages, Kim was far more jealous and possessive than he had been before, stemming from a deep-seated fear of losing her again. (He was especially jealous of the ex she remained good friends with.) Ondine struggled with feeling secure in the relationship and it caused her to pull back at times. Fortunately, they were able to work out these issues through actually TALKING (and lots of cuddles❤️)
-With the early kinks worked out, their relationship flourished, strong and healthy. Their friends describe them as ‘disgustingly affectionate’, but they don’t care.
-Chloé DID eventually come back to Paris, more bitter than ever. (I am the furthest thing from a fan of hers(Scarlet Lady is MY canon, if that tells you anything(@zoe-oneesama>>>>Asstruck. You created a masterpiece, darling!)), but even I pity her being stuck with Audrey.) Under her mother’s influence, she wasn’t able to improve much. She tried to push her former “lackeys” back under her thumb, but Sabrina straight told her to f*$& off, and ya boi barely even noticed her presence. He’s perfectly happy with his girlfriend thanks!
-An epilogue, of sorts, I guess. Five and a half years after getting back together, they were happily married. She learns his identity, of course, and they eventually welcome two baby girls. (Kim just screams ‘GIRL DAD’ to me!)
So, I like to think that I’m good at thinking up ideas for stories, but I absolutely SUCK at actually writing them out as full fics. (I’m also incredibly anxious and fearful of people not liking what I make, so even posting THIS was a mental bAtTlE) But if you want to adopt this plot and make a story from it, have at it, it’s all yours! I’d love to read it, just make sure you credit me! Ciao! Feel free to let me know what you think!
