RWDE: The Domestic Abusers Of The Fandom

This is a list of signs of domestic abuse, I am going to go down the list with all of you and show you what is goping on in the rwde tag:

Embarrass you with put-downs?

Not jusrt the above but also calling RWBy a ripoff of several shows who just use basic elements of other shows (http://dudeblade.tumblr.com/post/164474153651/birds-are-superior-to-colors) or saying that the show only worksd because of “white mediocrity” (https://bluepulserjaime.tumblr.com/post/163548032716/just-because-jaune-was-in-a-dress-and-camp-camp) or that they pander to weeaboos and so much more.

Look at you or act in ways that scare you?

Control what you do, who you see or talk to, or where you go?

Trying to say that the CRWBY aren’t allowed to make something for teh fans unless they make any queer ship with ship tease canon (queerbaiting everyone?)

Stop you from seeing your friends or family members?

Attempts to paint themselves as the ONLY fans of RWBY

Take your money or paycheck, make you ask for money, or refuse to give you money?

Make all of the decisions?

Anything that RWDE doesn’t like: They claim is an objective flaw and thusd must be changed.

Tell you that you're a bad parent or threaten to take away or hurt your children?

Threaten to kill himself or herself?

Prevent you from working or going to school?

Not this one.

Act like the abuse is no big deal or is your fault, or even deny doing it?

Again, the piracy thing.

Intimidate you with guns, knives, or other weapons?

Or in case, labels of bigotry and harssment!

Shove you, slap you, choke you, or hit you?

Threaten to kill you?

Again, no.

But that is only three things they do not do. Everything else the RWDE tag has done And that’s not even getting into how they claim to speak for LGBT and minorities and then when people from both communities tell them otyherwise, they will respond with accusing them of bigotry aor sasying they don’t count or how they will lie, cheat and misinform in order to make up flaws in the show.

I know this seems like an angry ramble to you and that you don’t care about the RWDE tag but remember what happened in the Voltron fandom with how a Klancer shipper tried using blackmail to make their ship canon? What about when Rebecca Sugar was forced to apologize for a “racist” depiction of a space rock alien? Or when the Tokyo Ghoul creator got suicide baited for sinking a homo ship?

This all happened because most people in the fandom ignored these people and let them fester until they reached that point. And as shown with the above, RWDE is rapidly reaching this point. And once it crosses that line, there is no turning back. We become a shame of the human race for having these toxic people be associated with us and we’ll be mocked and laughed at for being in this fandom because of them.

But we can stop it before it reaches that point. All we have to do is something very simple: start caring about the RWDE tag. Start caring if they are doing immoral stuff or if they start doing immoral stuff. And make it clear that is not what we are about, that we as a fandom do not encourage that, that they are a bunch of crazy people we do not associate with. We just need to stop ignoring the RWDE tag and start pointing out the disgusting stuff they do. I know it seems hard and a nusance but that is what people in the SU, Voltron and Tokyo Ghoul fandoms thought and that lead them to becoming shit. We can differentiate ourselves from them and make it clear that we do not endorse or condone what they do.

So please, take a look in the tag every once in a while everyone, call the people out when t5hey start doing nasty shit and make it clear that they are just a toxic minority that we refuse to let become the face of our fandom. We can be different, we can be better than our predecessors and we can grow beyond this.
