Celebrity Women’s Wrestling League’s Sydney Sweeney’s competitiveness doesn’t end in the ring. The buxom beauty is often zealous in the locker room as well.
niche topic incoming i don’t post about wrestling very often but this one merits note.
professional wrestling company AEW has a transgender woman who works for them by the name of Nyla Rose. after running a show recently in Oklahoma where Nyla had a match on the card, AEW apparently got this letter from the state warning them against her ever performing in the state again.
the state of Oklahoma has officially worked themselves into a shoot.
My main problem with the AEW women’s division is that they don’t give them promo time, especially in ring promos. And that is an issue because I’ve seen comments of people saying “I don’t care about the division” and the thing is that promos give us the opportunity to know wrestlers, their personalities, some promos can result in catchphrases or nicknames, it’s an opportunity to give people a reason to care about them. How are we supposed to know their backstory, their mannerisms, their charisma, their freaking personality if they don’t let them? During the WWE Women’s Revolution, we fell in love with people like Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte and Alexa because they gave us a reason to care about them. We knew the facial expressions of Alexa and how great she is on the mic, it gave Sasha a catchphrase, it gave Charlotte the opportunity to show how a great heel she is, and more recently, it gave Bayley the freaking “Ding Dong, Hello!”. The women have great personality and charisma and they should be given this time to show them. One of the freaking reasons of why MJF is the most over person right now it’s because he have had countless opportunities to know and identify with him and his story… I think the girls deserve the same opportunity.
That’s why Toni’s new gimmick has worked so well until now. They have gave her the time to develop, to show how charismatic and funny she is and make us care about it. We need more of that.
what toni storm and deonna purrazzo are doing right now is such a perfect example of how sick women’s wrestling is when you actually let them do something
You know I’m generally a pretty easygoing, “like what you like, don’t like what you don’t, we can all have different opinions, it’s fine” kind of person, but there are exactly 3 opinions people can have when it comes to wrestling that fills me with blind rage
1. MJF/AdaMJF slander
2. Insisting that Adam being the Devil and turning on MJF is the only thing that makes sense (or that Adam being the Devil makes sense at all
3. Saying there shouldn’t be women’s tag titles. I don’t care how much TV time they get, if you think them having 2 championships (3 if you count ROH) and the men having 5, soon to be 6 (10 if you count ROH) is okay, you’re a fucking idiot
