i'm posting about this again for extra reach, but i highly encourage comic book fans to back and add these tags their previous original non-mcu loki posts:
#moon queen and magic theatre — god(dess) of stories loki
#the magpie who whispers — ikol/magpie/agent loki
#the echo of a scream — kid loki
shitposts, comic panels, meta content, fanart, what have you, everything is needed! we're trying our best to reform our fandom tagging system in light of the loki series using names from the comic books, causing unavoidable cross tagging. so if you're a comic book loki fan, these are the tags for you to post and follow.
again, these are only for comic book posts! please do not post the MCU versions of any of these characters in these tags.

okay, I am legit convinced most of the post AoA comic writers didn’t actually read AoA, except for maybe Kibblesmith in the 2019 run.
because why the fck did aaron make him part of the dark counsel, or king of jotunheim, or literally anything that happens in the war the realms.
why is it suddenly that loki is all pity party “I have to do bad to do good” when he already found the middle ground, he already decided he didn’t want to take sides, explicitly said that he doesn’t want to be King, because he realized that stuff trapped him and made him miserable. why are we making it seem like he has to learn it again?
her sometimes calling herself “god of stories” literally does nothing when she doesn’t act like it, and even the chapter descriptions continue to insist on calling her the “prince of lies”. it’s down right disrespectful to even pretend this is the same character as in AoA.
now in the Mighty Valkyries we have him not giving his own grand kids a chance and him implying he wants the throne of Asgard. like. come on. why are we doing this again. does that sound like the god of stories? or better yet if we are gonna take 2019 into account, the God of Outcasts??
Loki was going somewhere new! being someone new! and we were all so excited to see how she would interact with the rest of canon.
but no, comics can’t let anything new stand, it’s cycles of the same story over and over, make the characters have the same existential crisis and conflicts over and over.
King Loki was right, People won’t let him be anything new, and those people were the comic writers all along.
