I REGRET TO INFORM EVERYONE THAT ACCORDING TO THE OFFICIAL SW DATABASE (via starwars.com) TECH IS NO LONGER 6'4" AND NEITHER IS CROSSHAIR
(i typed these out in the notes app with meters to feet conversions)
on the bright side, Hunter is still short king, and Wrecker got TALLER than previously thought
EDIT: i was slightly off (this is why we don't do sleep-deprived math), here's the corrected heights:
Tech is still 5 inches shorter than previously!!!

The way you describe Jason makes me think of our dog Teddy.
Teddy was half chow/half lab all fluff and literally looked like a teddy bear as a puppy.
He believed he was the size of a teddy bear when he was full grown...he was not...
Thought he could lay under the coffee table, he would lift it up on his back, thought he could snuggle with the cat, ended up plopping on her and pissing her off, thought he could sit in your lap, you would suffocate from his sheer size and fluff.
Jason makes me think he doesn't exactly register that he is bigger then his family at times. Remembers he had a hidden stash of books underneath his childhood bed, gets stuck and doesn't understand why he is stuck. Doesn't even think about just plopping on the couch and accidentally squishing his siblings.
Just completely forgets his size.
Bruce doesn't help, because he too forgets he can't just pick up Jason for random cuddles anymore...doesn't stop him from trying...

Billy, having a nerf gun war with the kids, when he's backed into a corner by Max and El, both holding their guns up at him with sinister smirks.
"Any last words, blondie?"
With his hands held up in surrender, Billy sighs, "tell Steve I love him. And he better not remarry!"
Before the words are even fully out, the two girls are pelting him with nerf bullets, cackling at his dramatic display of falling over the couch, a hand clutching his chest.

Jegulus Microfic: Silver
“Regulus,” Sirius called out into the hall, “can you come here for a second?” He listened for his brother’s footfalls to switch direction, and they did.
Regulus walked into Sirius’ room, and shut the door when he was asked to.
“Andromeda gave me this,” Sirius said, holding up a beautiful silver ring, “it’s an old family heirloom. She wanted me to have it, but I…can’t wear it.” He tried not to let the pause linger, but it did.
Regulus’ eyes narrowed.
“Why can’t you wear it?” he asked.
Sirius just shook his head vaguely.
“I just can’t, okay? Do you want it? I know you were talking about taking the next step with James, do you want to maybe give it to him? Seemed like you were headed there.”
Regulus held a hand out for the ring, and Sirius dropped it into his palm.
“Why don’t you-” Regulus began, but his words died once he’d looked at the ring up close. “Oh, silver,” he said. He looked up at Sirius for a moment before speaking. “Then James probably can’t wear it either. You all spend loads of time together, wouldn’t work.”
Sirius just watched him. It seemed like- but he couldn’t know.
But Sirius didn’t say anything, and just waited for Regulus to go on.
“Don’t make me say it, but I know okay?” Sirius’ eyes widened, but Regulus answered his thoughts before he could voice them. “James didn’t tell me, you all just aren’t as subtle as you think. But James can’t wear this. You should just give it to him, and tell him to give it to me whenever he wants.”
Sirius collected himself at the last sentence enough to smile.
“Awww, my little brother’s getting engaged.”
Regulus nodded and handed the ring back.
“Thank Andy for me,” he said before walking out, dismissing Sirius, the knowledge about Remus, and his own engagement all at once.
