Dossier : les plus grandes rivalités d’Alexa Bliss à la WWE.

Entre Bayley, Sasha Banks, Naomi, Shayna Baszler, Eva Marie ou encore Asuka, nombreuses auront été les rivalités d’Alexa Bliss depuis son arrivée au sein de la WWE en 2014 à NXT, et plus particulièrement dans le main roster : SmackDown et RAW. Mais parmi celles-ci, certaines se distinguent plus que d’autres et ont même mis le feu jusqu’à la plus grande scène : WrestleMania.

01. Becky Lynch

C’est à SmackDown que Alexa Bliss a été drafté après ses débuts à NXT. Little Miss Bliss, malgré le fait qu’elle n’ait jamais eu l’accès au titre de championne de la division “black and gold”, a réussi à briller par son charisme et son athlétisme. Dès lors, elle s’est confrontée à la première championne de SmackDown : Becky Lynch. Une rivalité intense s’est rapidement installée entre elles et Bliss obtient l’opportunité de combattre l’actuelle championne à TLC en 2016, qu’elle remporte en faisant tomber Lynch sur une table. Alexa, sacrée championne pour la première fois de sa carrière à la WWE, poursuit sa rivalité avec Lynch et sera amenée à défendre sa ceinture à SmackDown au cours d’un Steel Cage Match contre cette dernière. Grâce au retour surprise de Mickie James, qui lui vient en aide, Alexa conserve le titre pour enchaîner plus tard sur une rivalité avec Naomi.

En 2022, on les retrouve à RAW pour une nouvelle rencontre, très brève, mais d’ors et déjà enflammée. Alexa Bliss fait son entrée face à une Becky Lynch très remontée contre son adversaire sur le ring, déversant un flot de paroles vers son ancienne rivale : Alexa Bliss. Un jour, peut-être les retrouvera t-on dans une autre histoire, car de ce que l’on sait : Alexa est focalisée sur le titre de RAW, alors que Lynch est à l’heure actuelle blessée et donc absente des shows.

02. Mickie James

Une amitié est née entre ces deux femmes après que Mickie ait soutenu Bliss contre Lynch à maintes reprises. On les retrouvera à RAW, une fois que Alexa Bliss aura fait ses débuts dans la division rouge. Là-bas, elle deviendra la première Superstar féminine à avoir remporté le titre de championne de SmackDown ET le titre de championne de RAW, contre Bayley. Elle perdra la ceinture contre Sasha Banks à SummerSlam en 2017, pour le retrouver à nouveau quelques semaines plus tard contre l’actuelle détentrice du titre. Au début amie avec Nia Jax depuis NXT, celle-ci se retournera visiblement contre elle alors que Mickie James se détournera de Bliss suite à ses propos déclarés dans Raw Talk.

À partir de ce moment, Alexa Bliss semble prête à tout pour rester championne, et ce même si elle s’enfuit à plusieurs reprises du ring lors de ses matchs. Five Feet Of Fury pense “stratégie, manipulation et ruse” pour parvenir à ses fins : et cela fonctionne à merveille. James & Bliss se confronte à TLC en 2017, et The Goddess of WWE conserve le titre avant de le remettre en jeu à RAW quelques jours plus tard, de nouveau contre Mickie. Durant cette période, en tant que Championne, Alexa sera amenée à défendre le titre de RAW lors de presque tous les shows (la seule Superstar féminine à avoir autant défendu un titre au cours de sa carrière).

03. Nia Jax

C’est la fin d’une belle amitié, qui aura duré plus de quatre ans, entre Alexa Bliss & Nia Jax, lorsque cette dernière découvre dans une vidéo que Bliss s’est jouée d’elle depuis le début afin d’avoir un avantage contre ses adversaires. Se moquant ouvertement d’elle auprès de Mickie James, avec laquelle son amitié s’était renouvelée, cela a permis d’ouvrir la porte sur une nouvelle rivalité. Annoncé officiellement, le titre de RAW devait donc être défendu par Alexa Bliss à WrestleMania 34, en 2018, contre The Irresistible Force. Perte du titre pour Bliss et victoire de Jax. La même année, alors que Nia Jax défend son nouveau titre contre Ronda Rousey, Alexa Bliss remporte Money in the Bank et cash le même soir pendant le match de Jax/Rousey. Elle devient, par conséquent, la nouvelle championne de RAW pour la troisième fois consécutive.

Quelques années plus tard, alors qu’un changement majeur s’est opéré chez Alexa Bliss depuis sa capture par The Fiend avant WrestleMania 37, on les retrouve plusieurs fois en confrontation lors des matchs, où Bliss prend plaisir à manipuler Jax, qui était à ce moment là en équipe avec Shayna Baszler, grâce à ses jeux d’esprits. 04. Ronda Rousey

Forcément, le coup du “cash” de Bliss, lors de son match contre Nia Jax pour le titre n’a pas été au goût de Ronda Rousey. Plus provocatrice que jamais, Alexa déverse sa haine contre l’ex championne de MMA, et les deux femmes sont transportées vers une nouvelle rivalité qui se résoudra à SummerSlam en 2018, où Mickie James sera également victime de Rousey, puisqu’elle s’était de nouveau alliée à Bliss. C’est la dernière fois que Alexa Bliss aura eu accès au titre de championnat de RAW, suite à sa défaite contre Ronda.

Les Superstars auront l’occasion de rejouer leur match quelques temps plus tard à Hell In A Cell, la même année, que Alexa ne remportera pas. Accompagnée par Alicia Fox et Mickie James, ses deux acolytes durant cette période de rivalité, Ronda Rousey sera quant à elle suivie par Natalya qui l’aidera à se débarrasser des alliées de Bliss. Avant sa défaite, Alexa n’aura pas manqué de se moquer ouvertement de son adversaire en face à face, se montrant encore plus machiavélique.

05. Nikki Cross

À l’instar de Nia Jax, son amitié avec Nikki Cross s’est crée sur le tas. Alexa Bliss et cette dernière citée ont été jusqu’à remporter les titres féminins par équipe à deux reprises. D’abord contre les IIconics à SummerSlam en 2019, puis contre les Kabuki Warriors à WrestleMania 36 en 2020. Après leur perte du titre en juin de la même année, Bliss & Cross ont continué de faire équipe jusqu’à ce que Nikki finisse par rejeter Bliss au cours d’un excès de colère à cause d'une défaite. The Fiend en profite pour faire son apparition, et capture Alexa pour la transformer complètement. Une rivalité vient naître entre Alexa & Nikki.

Alexa Bliss joue sur son côté “fun” et son aspect plus obscur, notamment en utilisant des jeux d’esprits pour venir à bout de Nikki. La rivalité se poursuit pendant presque deux ans, où Nikki tente de raisonner en vain Alexa Bliss, qui a révélé une facette bien plus sombre. Pendant cette période, mais après leur gros conflit, les deux Superstars sont amenées à faire équipe et à mettre de côté leurs différents. Cela ne va pas durer, puisque Nikki Cross (devenue Nikki A.S.H), va effectuer un heel-turn en 2022, ce qui lancera Alexa Bliss contre elle au cours de plusieurs matchs. Nikki A.S.H fait équipe avec Doudrop, contre qui Bliss était déjà en rivalité lors de ses moments glorieux contre Eva Marie, tandis qu’Alexa fait équipe avec Asuka, qui était également son ancienne rivalité au cours de sa période plus “dark”.

06. Charlotte Flair

Rivales à l’occasion du Survivor Series 2017, où Alexa Bliss est championne de RAW tandis que Charlotte est championne de SmackDown, les deux Superstars s’affrontent dans un match “championne contre championne”, que The Queen remporte contre The Goddess. Les choses se calment entre l’une et l’autre, car chacune étant situé dans sa propre division et n’ont plus l’occasion de se rencontrer.

Il faudra attendre plus de quatre ans pour voir renaître une confrontation entre les deux, et pas des moindres. Réclamant une opportunité pour combattre Charlotte Flair, détentrice du titre féminin de RAW en 2021, Alexa Bliss s’apprête à vivre une véritable descente aux enfers qu’elle ne voit pas venir du tout. La nouvelle création de Bliss depuis sa trahison envers The Fiend à WrestleMania 37, est une poupée nommée Lilly (qui l’accompagne partout depuis). Celle-ci va subir les foudres de Flair après sa victoire contre Bliss à Extreme Rules 2021, puisqu’elle va la déchirer complètement, mettant un terme à la période sombre d’Alexa, qui sera suivra plus tard quelques cycles de thérapie avant de redevenir “elle-même”.

Après cela, Alexa Bliss s’absente de la WWE et fait son retour à Elimination Chamber avant de commencer une pause qui dure quelques mois. Elle revient officiellement à RAW le 9 mai 2022 et enchaîne les victoires au cours de ses matchs, allant jusqu’à se qualifier pour Money In The Bank qu’elle ne remporte malheureusement pas (contrairement à Liv Morgan). Début août de la même année, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY font leurs débuts à SummerSlam puis à RAW, accompagnées par le retour surprise de Bayley. Ensemble, elles font face à Alexa Bliss, Asuka & Bianca Belair et une nouvelle rivalité semble être au menu. Quelle sera la suite pour Little Miss Bliss ?
