You bounced in your studded heels, fishnet stockings ripped around the toes, the aftermath of walking barefoot to try and get to the pit, jumping and screaming the angry, heavy lyrics with the rest of the audience. You'd shimmied your way through the drunken, inked up men, punching the air and screeching, adrenaline from the performance hot-wiring a new kind of rage. You couldn't blame them; the heavy bass shaking the stadium, the screams of the fans, and most importantly the band, Corroded Coffin, standing right in front of you, putting on a performance of a lifetime.
He was on his knees, so close to you that you could smell his cologne, mixed with the reek of weed, booze, and sweat that exuded from the audience. Eddie Munson, bad boy, front man of the band, always shredding the guitar and grunting filthy lyrics into the mic. Parents around the world were repulsed with him, with the entirety of the band, their vulgar ways and even worse press, scandalous and obscene. It's what excited you, and millions of other horny, rebellious ragers- that was apparent with their album sales and the size of this stadium, sold out and rocking.
Their recent press had really stirred up a fury with the media. Eddie, along with Gareth and Nick, seen strutting out of a well known BDSM club in West Hollywood, some leather clad, desperate girl clutched to him, collar and harness on, his leather jacket covering the rest of her- furious red hand prints on her ass that showed through the paparazzi pictures.
They'd never been conservative, quiet about the kind of sex they had, rough and nasty. It's probably why they had a line of groupies waiting behind the venue after each show, hoping desperately that their manager would pick them to come backstage. That they too might get a chance to be used and abused by the rockstars, leaving on shaky legs to tell their friends unimaginable stories.
Eddie's eyes locked with yours. How you'd managed to get that close to the stage, sneaking in behind a burlier man, was beyond you. His tongue was out, lewd licking suggestions between two wiggling fingers that mimicked a 'V' shape. You grinned, winking back at him, sultry and flirty- the way they liked it, all rockstars were the same, after all.
Eddie smirked, eyes flitting to the next screaming desperate girl, picking up another lacy, thong that was thrown on stage. He pushed the crotch of the panties to his nose, eyes closed dramatically when he inhaled, the crows roared. "Whew, that is one sweet pussy right here." Eddie grinned salaciously into the mic, twirling the panties around his fingers.
"Y'all need to get a whiff, here," Eddie pulled the strings of the thong back on his fingers, a make shift slingshot that he launched into the crowd. The crowd bustled, fighting and tearing each other apart for the tiny piece of lace, Eddie laughing in amusement from the stand.
"Animals. I swear." He laughed, shaking his head, looking over at Jeff. "I love it." Eddie grinned, downing the water bottle of vodka beside him. "This one goes out to that sweet pussy out there, whoever you are. Here's Super Soaker."
You blushed, tummy twisting and erupting in butterflies. You looked around carefully, trying to eye the girl who's panties he'd claimed, a tinge of jealousy in your veins. What if he picked her over you? Maybe you should've thrown your panties on stage- Well, you would've if you were wearing any.
Under the nylon, black tights you were bare, for easier access. Tight, red, leather mini skirt that hugged and squeezed your ass deliciously. Your top, a black corset with hooks and zippers- you had to go to the seedy part of town, a run down sex shop, where you'd picked it out amongst the whips, masks, gags, and paddles that lined the walls. It made you clench, mind trailing back to the girl Eddie had on his arm in the tabloid. You picked up a little collar, black and snug, tossing it on top of the corset.
You hoped he'd see it and be reminded of that night. Not that he remembered the girl or much of anything- his coke blown eyes told you that- but the actions of the night. The handprints on her ass, his seed spilling down her legs, cheeks red and neck bruised with hickeys. You wanted that so badly you'd do anything for it. Your copy was worn, corners tearing where you clamped it, rubbing yourself furiously at night to the image, the thought that he might do that to you. You prayed he would.
The concert had ended nearly an hour ago, the bitter cold of the air outside the stadium left you shivering and shaking, clambered together with the other desperate girls near the backdoors. The large, black SUVs were still running and parked behind you, so you knew they were still in there. Your breath clouded and fogged in front of you, teeth chattering in the chill of the night, but you refused to cover up- that was rule number one. Which is why the three sweet, doe eyed girls next to you, covered and cozy in their coats, would be the first to get rejected.
"Alright, alright, back!" The door opened, a gruff looking man, dressed in all black and a shirt that read 'SECURITY' in white, blocked letters. "Make room, ladies! I know you're desperate, but c'mon, make a path!" He barked.
You pressed your lips in a hard line, huffing when you moved back, shuffling to create a very narrow path with the rest of the girls. Then you saw him. Wild curls, frizzed and puffed with the aftermath of the show, leather jacket and heavy boots stomping through the wet asphalt, the other five members following behind him. He didn't look up, lit cigarette between his lips, blowing air and ignoring the cries and pleads from the other girls, stomping to the car.
Your heart sank, smile dropping when they got in, not even so much as an arrogant grin or snarky comment; nothing.
A disheveled man in an opened button up, eyes blood shot and nose twitching scrambled out the doors, security beside him. He scanned the rows, then looking at the writing on a torn piece of paper, rubbing his nose furiously with a twitch.
"Ok, I need, you, you," He scanned the lines, eyes flickering back from the lists to all of you, lined up and desperate like call girls. Like this was an audition and you were chosen for a call back. "You, You-wait, not you, sorry, sweetheart. You, yeah in the red, and," He turned, eyes locking on yours bored, looking down at the paper, then back at you. "You," He nodded.
Your heart stopped, fists clenching and biting back an excited smile. The man didn't wait, shoving his hands in his coat pocket, and motioning to the security guard to let the chosen girls follow. "C'mon, quickly now. Once in a lifetime ladies. Let's go."
The six of you scurried behind him in a line, ducklings to a mother goose- a very coked out, manly, mother goose. Heels clacking against the asphalt, eyes cutting to each other with excited grins.
Your head craned over your shoulder, looking at the desperate girls who pouted and cried, envious glares shot towards all of you as you piled in the car. You pulled yourself in, hunching over to find a seat in the rows.
"Back there, sugar," The man from before pointed from the passenger seat. "Very back. Last row with Ed."
Your heart raced, ducking down to hide your smile, shimmying through through the small area towards the back. Each of the girls were cuddled up, close with their chosen member. A haze of smoke filled the van already, blunts and cigarettes blurring and clouding your vision.
"Hi there," Eddie greeted, brown eyes half lidded. He looked so cool, so calm, spread out in the seats, thighs wide and arm laid out down the length of the leather. You could see his inked skin, the tiny etchings and details you'd seen a million times, now more prominent.
"Hi," You grinned. "This seat taken?" You purred in a teasing tone.
Eddie took a long drag of his cigarette, flicking the ash into the cup holder by the tinted windows. "All yours," His words poured out with the cloud of smoke. "Saved it just for you, baby."
You smirked, thankful the darkness of the van and the smoky haze concealed your blush, sitting next to him, close but not desperate. Thighs touching, but leaned back so you could see him, so he could see you.
"What's your name?" Eddie asked through slow drags of the cigarette. You told him, eyes batting and a little grin on your lips. He repeated it slowly, letting every letter, syllable roll slowly off his tongue.
"That was a killer show." You smiled. "One of the bests I've seen."
Eddie nodded slowly. "You see a lot of shows?" He asked, but you knew what he was implying. You do this often?
"Not all the time, but I've been to a few." You answered cooly. I'm experienced, but not a pro.
Eddie smirked, dimples deepening on the right side of his face. He bummed his cigarette, shifting so his hand was on your tight clad thigh, rolling high up towards the hem of your little leather skirt. "I appreciate you saying that. Glad you had fun." He purred, sweet.
You were shocked, intrigued. Most rockstars wanted you to smother them in praises, tell them how great they are, whether it was their performance on stage or through whiny cries in the back of the tourbus or hotel rooms about how good they were making you feel. Eddie didn't have to be nice to you. He had a million other options that would do anything to be where you were now, some of them even in the car with you, cuddled next to Nick or Darius.
"Yeah, I did. Thanks." You smiled, biting back a flustered blush. His hands were toying with your skirt still, fingers moving and traveling in teasing slow circles towards your hot center. It had you clenching, thighs squirming and pressing together. "It was really entertaining. You don't slow down, do you?" You grinned, teasingly.
His brow lifted, amused. "What was your favorite song?" He asked, fingers tickling the hem of your tights that ran through your slit, warm and damp.
"Hm, that's a tough one." You purred, breath stuttering with his movements. He'd done this before too, that was obvious. "Triple G is always my favorite. It was so cool to see live." You mewled, eyes batting towards him, hips grinding into his touch.
Triple G or Good, Giving, and Game was one of their raunchier songs. Risqué and vulgar from the newest album, all centered around the motto used in BDSM play (according to the expose piece you'd read in a gossip column). The track featured snaps of a whip in the background, and Eddie always brought out a crop or paddle on stage, swinging it around then throwing it into the audience when he sang the infamous lyric about "having his ways to make bad girls behave".
Eddie seemed to like your answer, brows lifting in amusement, but his eyes darkened int something sinister, it made you pulse. "Yeah?" Eddie asked, his thumb pressing hard through the material of your tights to your clit, making you whine and jump. "You GGG, baby? You even know what that means?"
"Of course, I do." Your voice wavered, not nearly as sincere and strong as you wanted it to be. You were melting under his touch.
Eddie hummed, blowing air from his nose. "I see a million girls like you, all dressed in this cute little leather stuff because it's what they think I like." His mouth was near your ear, breath tickling you, goosebumps covering your arms. His thumb was painfully slow, teasing you. "And I do. I think you look hot, 's why you're back here." He grinned.
You whimpered, grinding into his hand, eyes watching his wrist flex and rotate between your legs. "But are you really into it?" Eddie asked, eyes dark on you. His other hand grabbed your jaw, pulling you to look at him, noses brushing in the closeness. "Are you really Triple G, or you just looking to tell all your friends about how you fucked another rockstar? Another notch in your belt?"
Your head spun, heart hammering in your chest. His question was dark with an unfamiliar edge. Degrading and mean you could take- you'd been tag teamed by Nikki Six and Tommy Lee last summer- but this was making you falter. You supposed that's what he wanted, judging by his intense stare, thumb still mercilessly working you.
"You really game, baby?" Eddie purred, low and gruff, voice raspy from the show and the cigarette.
"I'm game." You croaked out, teeth clenched, coming closer and closer to the edge.
"That why you wore this little collar?" Eddie growled. "You want me to use it?"
"Yes, please." Your eyes rounded, biting down on your lip, toes curing. The coil in your tummy was getting tighter and tighter, his stare and fingers making you grow hotter, melting into his touch. "Please, sir." You whimpered, pathetically.
Eddie's eyes lit up, shocked or impressed, you weren't sure. Either way, you knew you'd done it. Sealed the deal. You'd finally get what you wanted, to be ruined by Eddie Munson.
"Oh?" Eddie grinned. "Alright, baby, alright." He purred, lips brushing your jaw, electrified under the light touch, leaving you shivering and squirming. "Let's see how game you are. How good you can get for me."
Eddie pulled his hand away quickly, falling back into his seat, legs spread, cock hard and straining against his pants. You gasped at the loss of touch, looking at him with betrayed, rounded eyes. "My first rule," Eddie reached for his lighter, tapping his pack of Marlboros against the heel of his palm, his eyes lifted to you darkly. "You don't cum without Master's permission."
You squirmed but nodded obediently, eyes trained on his growing erection. "Yes, Master," You muttered, the flick of the lighter and Eddie's inhale buzzing in your ears next to you.
Eddie smirked, lips curling around the cigarette for a long drag. "We're gonna have fun tonight, baby. I can tell."
The van ride was longer than you expected, but you were sure time was slowing down, inching and crawling because you were buzzing with excitement. Their hotel was in the neighboring city from the concert, hopeful that it would be concealed from badgering paparazzi or crazed fans.
Unfortunately for them, the flashing lights of cameras flickered, lining the front of covered entrance all the way to the door, hotel security lines with roped and pushing them back.
"Goddammit, Nelson, I thought you said we'd be good!" Gareth's open hand palmed slapped against the door.
"I thought we would!" Nelson, the coked out manager of the boy, exclaimed from the passenger seat. "I bet it was that little bitch at the venue. Fuckin' knew she heard. Probably called to make a buck." Nelson seethed.
Your eyes, wide and watching the flashes and screams of the paps as you pulled up. Eddie blew a cloud of smoke at you. "When we get outta here, you don't stop, you don't talk, you don't even fuckin' look at them, or this is ends here." Eddie threatened. "You just follow me. Don't try to be cute, or they'll get a picture of me leaving your ass at the doors. Make you the rejected girl for all these vultures to tear apart. Got it?"
You nodded obediently, heart hammering at the threat. Hotel security opened the doors to the car, helping each of the boys out, the cluster of girls that followed them. Nelson was out, screaming and threatening the paps, then berating the manager of the hotel at the door.
Eddie climbed past you first, not helping you out, but pausing so you could follow him, clambering with your head down, eyes trained on his heavy boots that pounded into the concrete with every step. The flashes were furious, blinding out of your peripheral. The hotel staff greeted you kindly, opening doors and ushering you towards the private elevator.
You were quiet, eyes still down casted. The elevator rose, dinging and climbing the floors until it reached the top. The boys scattered, grabbing their keys from Nelson with the playful threat to "behave".
Room 1029, the end of the hall, secluded from the rest. Eddie pushed the door open, watching you. You stood, waiting his command. He grinned, impressed. "Good," He grumbled, nodding towards the opened door. "Go in."
You padded in, looking around the large, extravagant room. Mini fridge stocked, fruit basket on the table, Eddie's things already inside, including a rather tempting black, leather case on the center of the made bed, constructing against the crips, white linens of the hotel sheets.
"You sure you wanna do this?" Eddie asked, arms crossed leaning against the counter of the small kitchen. His cigarette was dwindled, nearly gone. "Don't want to make you feel like you have to."
You nodded, shoulders shuddering gently. "Please, Master," You purred. "I want to please you."
Eddie grinned, stepping slow and calculated towards you. He cupped your face in his hands, and you could smell the nicotine on the tips of his fingers. "I give all my girls a safe word. In case you don't want to or it gets too much. You say it, we stop." You nodded obediently. "Bat." He said simply.
You fought the tinges in your expression that wanted to smile, pressing and rolling your lips. "Bat?" You repeated.
Eddie nodded firmly. "You say that, we stop, no questions asked, no judgements. Got it?"
You nodded, heat pooling deep in your belly. You hadn't expected it to be this intimate, personal. He really was a pro, more than a flashy, bad boy using this angle for his image.
"So tell me," Eddie's fingers ran down your cheeks, towards your lips. "What do you think about when you put this on? What do you think about me doing to you?" He whispered, thumb pulling your bottom lip, soft and plush.
You shivered. "I-I saw the pictures in the magazine." You admitted, feeling the pad of his thumb across your cheek bone. "The girl you were with coming out of the club. She-She..." You whimpered, his left hand creeping down your jaw, massaging it lightly.
"She what?" Eddie pushed, dark eyed and intense.
"She looked... wrecked." You shuddered at the admission, swallowing thickly when his fingers ghosted, feather light and teasing over your throat.
"And you want that?" Eddie pressed, lifting a brow. "You want me to do that to you, too?" You nodded furiously, his thumb circling your pulse point on your neck, feeling your rapid heart beat under his touch. "You want me to ruin you like that?"
You whimpered behind closed lips, nodding furiously, blushing under his gaze. You were still closed but you felt so exposed, so seen.
"Or do you want me to show you off after too?" Eddie pressed, lips curling into a snarl. "Want me to parade you around after, show everyone what I did to you so some other needy little thing will get off to those pictures too?"
"Please," You whined out, core throbbing.
"That what you want, huh? Want everyone to see?" Eddie teased you, mean and calculated, his grasp around your neck tightening just lightly, cutting off your air supply.
You gasped a little, but kept your hands by your side, your eyes still on him. Eddie squeezed tighter, snarling at you. "I asked you a question."
You wheezed, mouth opening to get air in. "Yes," You rasped. "Please, Master."
Eddie let go of your throat with a shove, stomping towards his bed. "Strip. Everything but that pretty little collar." He ordered, opening the fastens on the case.
Your hands trembled, excited and anxious, unzipping your skirt, shoving it until it was a puddle on the floor beneath you. You kicked off your heels, yanking down the straps of the harness and squeezing it over your frame, tights following. You kicked your discarded clothes into the corner of the room, eyes trained on Eddie, the satin, rolled bag on display in front of him.
Eddie's gaze lifted to you, shirt discard showing you his porcelain skin littered in tattoos, his scars that some had tried to cover. He lifted a ringed hand, motioning you forward with two fingers.
You took a step before he huffed. "Crawl." He barked.
You lowered down to your knees on shaky legs, hands and knees moving against the ivory floors towards the carpeted bedroom. You kneeled in front of Eddie, eyes up and awaiting his next instruction.
Eddie's hand cupped your jaw, rolling it so he could better see your face. "Such a pretty thing," He purred. You blushed furiously, biting back a smile. "Stand up, arms behind your back."
You stood slowly, barely steadied before Eddie clasped your folded hands, pushing you face first towards the bed. You barely registered the cool metal on your wrists before you heard the click, cuffs biting into your skin, closed tight and hard around you, binding you.
You lifted your head out of the pristine linens, the smell of bleach and laundry detergent filling your nose. Eddie's hand found your hair, yanking your hair tight by your scalp, tipping your head back to him.
"You gonna be a good little slut for me?" Eddie growled, his free hand rubbing roughly down your ass and thighs. "Gonna do what Master says?"
"Y-Yes, Master," You shuddered, clenching when his hand swiped through your slick folds.
Eddie hummed. "What's the safe word?" He challenged, fingers working on your clit.
You bit back a moan, squirming against the bed. "Bat." You answered, hips rocking towards his fingers.
Eddie grinned, letting go of your hair, pulling his other hand out of your aching pussy. "Good." He smirked, smacking your ass hard.
You gasped, shockwaves flooding into your aching core, leaving your sighing out contently, raising on your toes to arch your back further, silently asking for more.
Eddie scoffed, rummaging through the black container again. You weren't sure if you were allowed to look, opting to keep your eyes forward, leaning up just a bit to see into the mirror on the dresser. You could see Eddie, wild curls and bare chest, hunched over his menacing black box of what appeared to be toys.
You saw him move closer, feeling his presence behind you. "Here, I'll take care of your wandering eyes." Eddie growled, back skull patterned bandana in his hand. He spread it between his hands, stretching out the folded material and bringing it over your eyes, your vision going black. You recognized the material, usually tucked under his bangs as a make shift headband on stage, now tied around your head, leaving you reeling and tingling with anticipation.
Your vision was blacked completely, Eddie's hand on your back suddenly making you jump with anticipation. His touch was soft, light, teasing and tracing all the way down your spine.
"So," Eddie purred. "You're a professional star fucker, hm?"
You shivered under the touch, fists clenching behind your back. "Something like that." You sighed, breathy and airy.
Eddie's hand cracked down on your ass, leaving you yelping and lifting with the impact. Eddie hummed, fingers swiping between your legs. You gaped, shoving your face into the sheets to try and conceal your sounds.
"Seems like it." Eddie scoffed, pumping his fingers slow in and out of you, your slick coating his fingers easily, slipping further and further inside you.
You moaned, hips swirling in pleasure, grinding further and further onto his hand. His thumb circled your clit. "Any other rockstar fuck you like this?" Eddie asked lowly. "Or am I the first one?"
You gasped, the heat in your tummy was building quickly, much faster than you expected. Now with the blindfold and the restraints, you were sure you'd come soon.
"P-Please, Master," You whimpered, whining high pitched and nasally. "Oh, fuck, please may I cum? Please, 'm so close."
Eddie's fingers kept pumping at the same pace, thumb circling your clit without any signs of letting up. "Hm, let me think about it..." He sighed dramatically, mocking. You couldn't see his face but you could picture his salacious smirk, dark and unfair.
Your thighs clenched, waves of pleasure already beginning to flood your system, teetering you closer and closer. "Oh! Please, please, please, Master, please let me cum, please!" You begged, writing to escape his touch, grip unforgiving even as you closed around his hand.
"Hold it," Eddie hissed into your ear, hair tickling your neck. Your thighs trembled, clenching shut, body twitching with pleasure. "I said, hold it. You better not cum if you know what's good for you."
Your eyes pinched shut under the bandana blindfold, jaw clenching so hard you were sure your teeth would crack. He was making you feel so good, too good. You knew you wouldn't last.
"Ah-ah, fuck, please let me cum!" You squealed, back arching, a last resort to try and get away from his fingers that teased you, free yourself from the orgasm you were so close to having.
"I don't think you deserve it." Eddie grunted, his chest dropping on your back to keep you from moving. You could feel his hot skin on yours, smell the remnants of sweat mixed with spicy cologne. It only made you hotter, small whimpers leaving your lips, pathetic and begging.
"You think you deserve to cum? A little slut like you?" Eddie pressed, his teeth grazed the lobe of your ear, biting around your dangled earrings, pulling at the flesh so you cried out. It sent you over the edge, your body convulsed, gushing hard over his fingers.
You heaved, falling into the mattress, body quaking with the shockwaves of pleasure. Eddie's fingers didn't leave you, pumping hard and punishing into you, the vulgar squelch your pussy made around his fingers filling the room, mixing with your breathy cries and the buzz of the radiator.
Eddie tsked behind you, his fingers making you squirm, overstimulated from his touch. You shuddered when he did finally pull them from you. "Oh, now why'd you do that, hm?" Eddie cooed, mocking and mean.
You could hear him move behind you, clatters and rummaging through what you assumed was his box. Eddie's boots were muffled on the carpet, but still hard and menacing when they came towards you.
"I told you not to cum, and what did you do?" Eddie sighed. You whimpered, feeling his sigh of disappointment on your shoulder blades, goosebumps erupting on your skin.
Cold, leather rubbed across the globes of your ass, making you jump, gasping loudly enough for Eddie to hear. His mouth was next to your ear, ringed hand pressing on the small of your back. "I'm gonna make you regret that, honey." He purred.
Your only warning of what was to come was the soft taps on your upturned cheeks, before the leather paddle cracked down right in the center of your backside.
You cried out, back arching, bound hands clenching into white knuckled fists. Your senses barely had time to register, pain just setting in before another searing swat came fast and hard to your left cheek, then again to your right.
You bucked, hips shimmying to dodge each hit, but your pussy ached, filled again with that desperate, deep need and want you craved.
"Wanna be a bad girl?" Eddie grunted, another resounding smack! of the paddle colliding with your ass. "I'll show you how I treat bad girls."
You sobbed, tears heaving the itchy cotton of the bandana. Your arms wrested to get free from the handcuffs, to reach down and stop the assault on your behind, but were stopped by the metal digging into them.
"Yeah, you wanna act like such a bad girl, such a little whore." Eddie seethed, paddle swinging and striking your red, angry cheeks.
"You want to go tell everyone about how Eddie Munson fucked you? Make sure you tell him about how I fucking ruined you. You got that?" Eddie growled, spanking you hard, sending you flying further into the bed with a gasp. "Tell that to your friends, sell that story to the tabloids. Tell them all about how I handle bad girls."
You sobbed, abs clenching and pleasure rolling through your body again, the final hit close to your center, making your legs shake. Eddie scoffed, mocking and mean, but he set the paddle down, threw it on the floor with a loud thud.
"How you doin'?" Eddie asked lowly, hands smoothing, squeezing and kneading your hot flesh.
You shuddered, sniffling hard. "G-Good." You cried, thighs rubbing together.
"Good." Eddie repeated, you could practically hear his dimpled grin through the words. The kiss he gave to your right cheek was unexpected, wet and loud, making you jump slightly, staggering back into his touch.
Metal on metal scraping behind you, then your right hand was free, falling onto the clean linen beneath you. You rolled your wrist only for a second before Eddie rolled you, sore ass colliding with the cool sheets. You recoiled, hips lifting, only for his hand splayed on your tummy to push you back down.
"You took that beating well." Eddie purred, pulling your free hand in front of you. "Better than some of the girls at the Hellfire Club, and they're supposed to be professional. Maybe you should go work there."
You grinned, glad the bandana covered your blushing cheeks under the compliment, but you were sure he could see it on your exposed chest. "Thank you," You sighed.
"I'll call Marco, the manager. Put in a good word for ya." Eddie quipped, the handcuffs snapping back onto your wrists just as tight as before.
Eddie pulled up forward by the metal chain between the cuffs, your legs steady and unsure when you stood, legs shaky, following blinding behind him, his guiding hand on your cuffs. "After this, you'll have a hell of a resume." Eddie's voice was teetering on the edge of playful and something dark, salacious. "They'll be beggin' to have you in the dungeon."
The sound of the sliding door, squeaky and heavy through the hinges could be heard, the cold gust of the air on your chest, nipples pebbling hard.
"You sure you wanna do this?" Eddie asked, his hand gentle on your hip. You could hear the sound of the paparazzi, clambering and shouting beneath you, arguing with hotel security and each other. "Last chance. Call it and we go inside."
You shuddered, pulsing between your legs though your heart hammered in your chest. "It's alright." You said quietly.
Eddie adjusted the bandana, pulling it further to cover your eyes and some of your nose, hand cracking down on your ass. "Good girl." He growled, pulling your cuffs behind him.
"Hey!" Eddie yelled, a loud, piercing whistle following. You froze, body stilling and breath catching. You were doing this, you were actually doing this. "Up here, you bastards!" Eddie roared down to the paparazzi below. "Here's your money shot!" He cackled loud, electrified like he was on stage down at them.
You grunted softly, pulled over the cool concrete, then pressed forward onto the cold, wet steel, your hands leaning over the rail. It hit just below your ribs, sending you forward just slightly, Eddie's hand steadying you on your hip.
You could hear him shoving his boxers down to the middle of his thigh, condom wrapped crinkling before his erection was flush, rubbing against your ass through the latex. "Give 'em a show for me, alright, baby?" He purred in your ear, before you were bent over.
You could see the faint, blinding flashes through the material of the blindfold, the roars and clambering of the paparazzi beneath you as they screamed frantically, deafening. You gasped loudly when Eddie pushed in, hard and quick, filling you swiftly with no warning.
Your head tipped back, crying out when his hips were flush against yours, barely giving you anytime to adjust before he was fucking you hard. Unrelenting, fast thrusts that had you crying out, sobbing and moaning beneath the bandana, handcuffed hands balled over the rail.
Eddie's free hand went to your jaw, grabbing tightly as his other stayed on your hips, balls slapping hard against your abused ass. His face was next to yours, cheek to cheek. "Yeah, this what you want? This what you want, you sick fucks?" Eddie mocked them loudly. His tongue licked a long, wet stripe down the side of your face.
You cried out loudly, mouth stretching and contorting around his ringed grip, bottom lip tucking between your teeth dramatically. You didn't need to play it up this much, it really did feel that good, but Eddie told you to, so you did.
You clenched hard around him, squirming into his touch. "'M close," Eddie muttered in your ear, before his hand moved, tracing lightly over your collared neck, squeezing your throat lightly. You gasped, clenching hard around him. "Fuck, keep doing that, baby." Eddie growled, fingers pressing further into your neck.
The paparazzi never quieted down, shutter of the cameras and flashes never stopping, but they seemed to wash away, drowning out when you fell forward, hard metal rail cutting into your ribs. You laid limply, whimpering and crying as Eddie fucked you, hard and fast, his face still against yours and his hand still around your neck.
You heard him groan, low and guttural in your ear before he slowed, hips rocking to a slow stop, hand dropping from your neck. You fell limp against the rail, Eddie's hand pulling you back. Your legs were weak, knees falling and colliding onto the hard cement. Eddie laughed wildly back at the crowd, taunting them some more while you tried to catch your breath.
"Here," Eddie whispered, bent down with a hand on your shoulder. He helped you up, slow, before you felt the familiar ivory on the ground instead of the cement, hearing the closing of the sliding door.
"That was pretty sick, honey." Eddie laughed. Your blindfold was falling down your nose. "You can take that off. We're done now."
You pushed the soaked, black fabric over your eyes, letting it rest on your sticky forehead. Eddie stood by the balcony doors, cigarette back between his lips, dimpled grin on his face. "I gotta say, you impressed me." He shrugged. "Didn't think you'd really be down with it."
You let out a breathy laugh, smile lopsided. "What can I say? I told you I was game." You said sweetly, eyes glassy and dazed.
Eddie grinned, blowing the smoke out slowly through his nose. "There's a car for you 'round back, so the vultures don't see you alright? Unless you want them to, whatever you want." Eddie shrugged.
You sighed, legs shaky, and skin burning with every step. You reached for your corset, pulling it up your legs, hissing when it touched your sensitive flesh. "I'm serious about the Hellfire Club or even the White Lotus Lounge," Eddie said, arm propped in a lean by the doorway. "You'd be really good down there." He grinned, dark and suggestive.
"I might take you up on that." You smirked, zipping your skirt up. "Will you be my reference?"
Eddie snorted. "After that? Fuck yeah." He grinned. You reached for the bandana around your neck, pulling it off and reaching to give it back to him. Eddie shook his head, ashing his cigarette on the floor lazily. "Nah, you keep that. You earned it." He winked.
You blushed, rolling your eyes lightly. "Thanks for this, and the show tonight. It really was great." You padded to the door, heels and bandana in hand.
Eddie walked towards you. "Thanks, means a lot." He smiled. "This was fun too, by the way. Real fun."
"Yeah?"
"Oh, yeah." Eddie smirked. "Don't be surprised when I sing about it on my next album."
You snorted lightly. "I'll be looking forward to it." You smiled, opening the hotel door. "See ya later, Eddie. Best of luck with everything."
"You too, sweet heart." Eddie winked, leaning out the doorway. He watched you pad towards the private elevator, legs still a little wobbly. "You make sure you talk nice about me to those tabloids alright?"
You laughed, pressing the elevator button. "I would never." You bantered. "I never kiss and tell, baby." You purred playfully, winking back at him. The elevator dinged, and you stepped on. "Thanks for a good time, Eddie. Have a good one." You called through the closing doors. Eddie grinned wide, inhaling the cigarette deeply before shutting his door.
The next day, the tabloids were booming, buzzing with the pictures of the bad boy rockstar and his mystery woman, fucking wildly on the hotel balcony. The buzz from the press was enough to have the media talking about Corroded Coffin for months, selling out most of their shows, and scoring them more covers of gossip columns than they knew what to do with.
It was good for you, too. You got to brag to your friends that you were Eddie Munson's infamous 'Balcony Babe' (the name was questionable, but the song made the top 100, appearing on the album like Eddie told you). A history making, raunchy hookup the world would never forget.

warning~ alc0h0l, bar, 3ating out, d0m seokmin, use the word baby, darling, and honey.
summary~ you’re the owner of a bar in the 20’s and it’s illegal to sell/drink alcohol. as an owner you have priorities until, a man comes in with a devilish smile and your whole mindset changes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
author side note: oml i had so much fun writing this! i literally had this plot in mind when i was listening to smooth operator and i was listening to light a flame as well lol~ i hope you guys like this story as much as you liked ceo jeonghan! more stories to come!
It was late at night and you were opening your secret bar. It was the 20’s and booze was illegal so you had to hide your bar from the outside world. only the elites are allowed inside your bar; business men, ceos, wallstreet guys,
and everyone else expect cops. if cops came in you would be gone, your whole business would be over. your bar was hiding underneath a book store named semicolon however your bar was named light a flame after your favorite song.
your bar was boomin and business was going good. however tonight’s business is going especially well “free shots for eveyone!” said a business man “my business is good and so are these drinks woo!” he abruptly sits back down into his seat. you smile and giggle of course because it’s a good atmosphere people are laughing and having fun. you pour the shots and hand it to everyone. everyone says 1..2..3 go! and they all take the shot together expect you of course. Jazz was blaring loud and suddenly you smell smoke. “hey you! can’t you see the no smoke sign?” you point at the sign.
the man was devilishly handsome, tall nose, nice smile, broad shoulder, and whew that build. you get kind of embarrassed once you realize all of this, he puts his lighter and cigarette box away “i’m sorry mrs. 1st time” he said smiling. you blush a little bit and cough “well i guess that’ll be fine but don’t you do that again mr.” “it’s mr. lee but just call me seokmin” he said with a small smile “right..i don’t want no cops showing up here askin why is there smoke coming out of a library shop”. “no no i understand mrs?” he asked his eyes were begging with an answer “mrs. y/l, but you can call me y/n”. “y/n tell me why a book store?” he asked sipping his whiskey “actually this was my father book store but i renovated it to be a bar” you say proudly as you’re cleaning glasses. “you know..alcohol is illegal right?” he says as he’s sipping whiskey. you froze is he a cop? a spy? fbi? he chuckles and you stop being tense. you chuckle as well “my, well then have me arrested” seokmin voice lowers “you know your laugh is cute”. your ears blush “why thank you”
a man drunkly calls for your name “y/-n g..et ov..er he-re!” you smile at seokmin “duty calls” for the rest of the night you attended to everyone and haven’t spoken to seokmin even though he’s been staring at you the entire time. by the night ends there was only him at the bar “it’s 1:00 am in the morning, shouldn’t you be heading home?” you say cleaning up the bar. “yes well, i wanted to have you all to myself before i leave” he responded grabbing your broom away and placing his hand on your waist. you blush, flustered by the way he’s staring into your eyes. “i’ve been observing you seeing how you run this place, it made me curious about you, what more secrets are you hiding?” he says leaning over you “my well.. you know you’re quite forward” you chuckle nervously. he smiles back “i’m only like that when i want something..and you know…i always get. what i want.” it’s as if he’s telling you to fuck him in your bar but you stop yourself and create distance. “well seokmin you’ll have to wait for it” you say dusting yourself and fixing your hair nervously “did i also mention i am also quite patient” he says smiling “well i bid you a good night my darling”. seokmin exists your door and leaves for the night. for the rest of that week you continue thinking about him, wondering when is he going to come back? is what he says true?
every since you met seokmin you’re always looking at the customer who enters the door hoping it was him then on Friday you hear a similar voice. oh that might be him you thought to yourself and it was, however he brought his friends. a man with blonde hair asks for 2 bourbon and 1 scotch. you look over at the table where seokmin was sitting and asked “is it for them?” you point. “ah yes you see my friend over there he was saying how this bar was amazing and the owner hospitality was like no other” he responded “ah thank you, could i ask what your name is? i like to remember my customers” you say smiling. “you can call me seungkwan”. you guys shake hands and you hand him his 2 bourbons and 1 scotch.
as the night goes on, it got chaotic to the point where you didn’t even check on seokmin because you were too busy with customers.
again, when you closed seokmin was the only one left. “don’t you have somewhere to be?” you laugh “actually yes. here with you” he responded smiling as he sips his scotch. “what happened to your other friends?” you ask “they got too drunk and had to leave, they wanted me to come with them but..i wanted to stay here” he says, you notice there was a little bit of blush on your ears which made you blush a little bit. “oh well that’s too bad” you say “you know..you might make me jealous by asking about them” he says wrapping his arms around your waist, hugging you from the back.
“seokmin..i don’t do that one night stand type of stuff” you say“me too..what made you think that i did?” he asks having a concern look on his face. “well i- you know what i’m sorry i shouldn’t have assumed” he turns you around to face him “you should know that i don’t intend to do this with just anyone..” your head starts spinning, your mind is telling you know but your body is telling you go. you hop on him, his arms around your legs to hold you up “is this a yes my love?” he says, you nod. he smiles and says “i’m gonna need you to tell me with your words” you sigh and whisper into his ear “please..fuck me”.
he throws you over his shoulder and puts you down on the bar counter “that’s all i needed, wasn’t that not so hard?” he grins. he starts kissing you, to your neck, chest, thighs, and reaches to your cunt. he spreads your thighs apart and looks up. “i want you to remember every. single. thing. i’m gonna do to you. i want to engrave it into your mind”. he starts licking your clit, twirling around while grabbing your tits. you never felt this way before and you’ve never been fucked inside your own bar. “m-mm seokmin!” you yell “honey, you’re gonna have to lower down your voice, you don’t want the cops to hear you” he smiles. fuck that cocky little devil. he continues eating you out, putting his fingers in and focusing on your clit. it wasn’t enough, you needed bigger. the way he’s eating you and the view you were at, his little cute mole and his nose. you grab his hair and start riding on his nose “mm-m seokmin! i’m close!” you groan. you ride out your orgasm and you cum all over his face, white paint is all over his face. “oh wow..you’re so fucking hot” he licks his fingers and leans over you “put your ass up darling”.
you go down from the bar counter and lean your body on top of the counter. the cool surface on the table feels nice on your tits. “fuck, i can’t hold it in longer..” he puts the tip in and you can already tell it’s big. you’ve had sex with other guys before but you never had this big. he puts it all in and groans “uh-h so warm..” you moan “hm ple-ase move..” something in him lights up. you can tell he got even harder when you said that, he starts grabbing your ass and hitting you deep. your whole core is shaking it feels too good to be true. “you like that huh? you like it when i fuck you like this? hm?” he says grabbing you face and leaning over your body fucking you. “hm-m ye-s” you mumbled. “sorry you’re gonna have to say that louder darling, or is my cock that good that you can’t say anything?” he says grinning. you start uncontrollably moving on his cock. “f-uck!” you moan. “i’m close darling” he says. he starts circling your clit and pumping you even harder, hitting your stomach. “i’m cu-mmingg!” you yell gripping on the edge of the counter, rolling your eyes back and tears dripping down your face. “me too” he says. he grabs your face and you guys start kissing passionately. you came and so did he, “fuck baby that was so good”. your legs gives out “oh shi-“ he quickly grabs you and puts you on top of the counter. you can’t even move your legs “fuck my back is so sore” you hiss and hit him “don’t be fucking me from the behind again!” he giggles and says “i don’t know you seem to like it, but hey if you say so” putting his hands up as if he’s guilty.
you guys both laugh and it’s already 2:00 am, “oh no i gotta head back to work, my break is over..” seokmin says “right now? really? wait- what do you even do?”. he puts on his pants, his jacket, and grabs something from his left pocket as he’s making his way through the door “i’m a cop” he says grinning showing you his badge “bye honey~ see you next time” he says. your jaw dropped opened. you can’t believe you had sex and with a cop!?

Chapter 14 Time
Chapters 1-13 here
18+... still
Hello guys! thank you for the likes on my chapters, this chapter is more filler, its wholesome, and gives some good vibes ^-^ hope you enjoy!
RECAP:
- "She is dying. My blood can save her" I realized. "That's not how it-"
"It's how WE work. This is what TCRI engineered me for. I can fix mutants like her with my blood, get that syringe. Hurry. I don't know how much time she has left" I frowned. Splinter and Ana didn't seem very happy with my idea either, but they were too busy working on the boys to really argue.
- "Whew! Lets get shit faced!"
- "Oh damn. You get stabbed?" The former marine looked at Ana when she saw all the blood gushing out.
- "Why do you smell like blood?" Mikey trotted up to Ana, doing his best to look around at her, trying to see if he could spot the injury.
"Are those bruises on your knuckles??" Raph's voice was crescendoing, making me shrink up in panic, I should have covered my hands. Oh nonononono.
No warnings on this one that I can think of, cussing is a given, if I’m wrong lemme know guys!
Chapter 14 Time
"I…. You can smell that?" Anastasia raised her brows, she looked impressed.
"Yes, along with the booze and-" Mikey cut himself off, his brow ridges shooting up as he looked down at her. Again, she surprised him again, despite the situation? It was a LITTLE funny, not that I was going to react to it.
"Good lord! You can smell that too? Sorry. It's just…. That's…. That's SO fucking hot" she bit her lower lip, I swear, my sister had the attention span of a goldfish, amongst other things. Though I knew she didn't mean it in this situation.
"Man you're weird" Vicky actually looked shocked, but like, so shocked she couldn't really portray it on her own face, she kind of just seemed to come to peace with it overly quickly so we could move on with the lecture.
"No, like for real- Sorry. You're upset, you have a right to be, didn't mean to change the subject- or do that... I was just caught off guard" Ana remembered what was occurring, a bit nervous as she fiddled with her hands carefully to not aggravate her stab wound. She was taking on more of a submissive behavior at the moment, which wasn't usually her style but I always remember her being incredibly respectful to her loved ones. Let alone a significant other. The ones she respected anyway.
"Abby. Please tell us what happened" Raph seemed to be pleading.
"Ana got us to go out and live a little. How long has Abby been cooped up here or under your 'supervision?'" Vicky defended.
"There was a reason for that: You're putting your lives at risk, For some alcohol" Leo was so not happy, he stood towards the back of the room with Donnie, arms were crossed as he stared us all down
"Oh don't you try to pull that load of horse shit! We aren't children. Stop treating us as such!" Vicky did not seem intimidated by the leader. I was still intimidated by him, well, when he went leader mode/big brother mode like this, even his brothers did. Aside from maybe Raph, he tended to take it as a challenge.
"No. You're not children. You're an experiment for some very evil people, who we are trying to protect you from" Leo was quickly losing his patience.
"Damn, didn't ask for your protection! Or for you to boss me around! In fact? Pretty sure I asked the exact opposite of you. The one thing I did ask for was too much, huh?" Vicky was getting sassy.
"'Protect' why would you protect me?" Vicky said as an after thought, her emotions were starting to surface, many years of pent up frustration, torture, and isolation was coming out, and unfortunately, Leo was what she was aiming it at.
"Because you're a living, breathing person that deserves freedom" Leo insisted.
"Oh please, if the military drives anything into your head, it's that you're not a person, that aside? You should see what that god forsaken lab drilled into my head! And you're going to look me in the eye and tell me this is freedom?" she held her hands out to the lair.
"being stuck in here, underground, surrounded by strangers I can't even trust? I can't go back to my family or they'll kill them, trying to get to me! if they haven't already killed them!" Vicky huffed at Leo.
"You are a person, someone who deserves to be with your family, deserve your freedom, deserve to be where you want and be surrounded by who you want to be surrounded by" Vicky glared at him, her eyes glossy with moisture.
"If you don't trust us. That's fine. That comes with time. And we'll fix this. So you can see your family" Leo took a few steps in front of her, but stopped, giving her, her space.
"But why. Why would you do that?" Vicky's suspicion seemed almost to double.
"Because we want to help you" Vicky gave an unamused laugh.
"Oh just stop. You freaking boy scout. I'm not falling for it" in the back of her scarred brown eyes, you could tell she wanted to trust, but she was so scared.
"Like I said… That's ok that you don't trust us. That will come with time, when we give you reason to" Vicky wanted to continue the fight, to let it all out, but what could she even say to argue with that?
"You… You can sleep in my room tonight, if you want" I was going to be surprised if Raph wanted to be together tonight, I upset him pretty badly, I'd figure it out the sleeping arrangements, though. Vicky swallowed hard, and nodded. She started to walk in that direction, remembering where it was from earlier, right before our shit show of an outing.
"Abby. What happened?" Raph asked with a sigh, I could tell he was fighting for patience to hear me out. As he repeated the question again.
"We just went to get drinks, had a few at a bar, Ana went to go dance, some guy started grinding up on her-"
"Yeah apparently goofy drunk dancing translates to: "I want to be dry humped by a fucktard" to that fucktard" Ana interrupted with a low, annoyed mutter, I figured she would.
I definitely didn't miss Mikey straighten a bit when explaining the situation. He didn't look to happy, and my bet was that the man made her uncomfortable more than anything. There was something else in his eyes, pride that she didn't take it from that guy, and that we were being honest with him.
"She told him to go away, he didn't, so she kneed him in the balls and punched him in the face. His friends came, one… Injured. Her. Vicky got him, two more came, Vicky and I fought them, we were getting kicked out, and ran into Clarice. Who patched her up"
"The police officer" Donnie recalled. Pretty quickly too at that. I smiled at his remembrance on the woman, he did a lot of work with her probably.
"She has magic healing hands. But no healing drugs" Ana announced.
"I can help with that" Don assured, quickly.
"Fabulous, you're a fantastic team already" Ana was relieved that she'd get some, well, relief from her pain.
"Ana. Are you ok? What did he do to injure you?" Mike looked so serious and concerned, again, trying to look around at her, figure out where he injury was, but her leather coat did a good job hiding it.
"I'm fine. Shit'll buff especially with Don's help" She assured.
"I'm sorry for going out without telling you. That was shitty. And dangerous" Ana realized. Mikey put a hand around her waist, and pulled her to him very gently, since he didn't know where her injury was at.
"I'm very sorry Raph. I won't do it again" I'd literally give up anything to be with him, let alone to not upset him.
"Abby. It's not even the fact you ran off. It's just that you didn't say anything. I wanna protect you from dirt bags like that guy and his friends, and I know Mikey does too. You're giving us heart attacks not letting us know what you're doing. I've never cared for anyone as much as I've cared for you, and losing you would not bode well for me" Guilt. So much guilt. Oh I am such a terrible person, why do I keep doing stuff like this and making him worried? I needed to fight my stupid ideas off more. The old tendencies I thought I had buried so long ago. They haunt me.
"I'll make sure to communicate more with you then" Unless you're putting yourself in danger and won’t let me help… But he doesn't need to know that one…
"That's all I can ask for. Thank you" Raph did the same to me, that Mike did to Ana. Tugging me to him and I gratefully accepted it, pressing my body to his calming presence, a smile on my face as my cheek squished up to his plastron.
"So you're not mad enough to not cuddle with me tonight?" My blue orbs avoided eye contact with him, but I was hoping to not push my luck. Raph chuckled a bit.
"You OWE me cuddles" he clarified. The smile that came to my face, guys. I can't even describe it.
"Wait. So you really think me catching all those scents is hot?" I snickered at Mikey when he asked that, a bunch of amusement all over his features. He and Ana both had small attention spans, they were perfect together.
"Yeah. I don't know its predatory. Like a shark or something" Ana was totally inflating the orange banded turtle's head, you could almost physically see it, she could mess around with him again and be fun since he seemed to be at peace with their conversation and her apology.
"Jesus Christ" I was laughing pretty hard at Raph being weirded out and expressing it.
"You guys are weird" Mikey was giving his brother such a big grin at this revelation, but looked down back at his lover, a little cautious now.
"So… You don't think it's weird? I'm a bit of a freak?" Mikey clearly tried to be as human as possible, but his fear weeded that out so he could find out if my sister was ok with what he was. He was trying to have a humorous undertone to his voice like he always tended to, but I could tell, he was self conscious, no doubt from the abuse especially.
"Babe. You're not a freak. I'm a freak" the devilish and prideful grin she gave him.
"Babe, there is so much I want to do to you right now-" he said honestly, the smile right back on his face with excitement, relief. My sister was so good for him, they were adorable and I was so happy someone was taking care of Mikey now, I'm sure all the turtle brothers were.
"Gross" Don said quickly
"-But you have a mystery injury Don needs to treat so let's go do that" his gentle blues eyed her.
"Damn. I really am my worst enemy" Ana appeared to be reevaluating her life, I don't think I've seen so much regret in her eyes in a while, she was pouting.
"Sealed your own punishment" I giggled.
"Yeah… I demand a do-over…. Baaaabe. Please?" She pouted, Mikey snickered at her, he seemed so giddy with how this worked out, and just in general.
"No, you're gonna get hurt more. Come on, let's go" he was trying to be more serious but failing at it.
"After I go back to the bar and kill the mother fucker that stabbed me" her face grew dark as she pulled a knife.
"He WHAT?" That was all 4 turtles.
"FORGET YOU HEARD THAT. Let's go" She grabbed Mike and Don to nudge them towards the medbay with her good shoulder, so they could get this over with already.
"What even is your sister" Raph was staring at the three as they walked away and I began to have a laughter fit, she was a god amongst men is what she was. Leo was just stunned into silence, but I could tell he was with his red banded brother with this one. They thought Mikey was unpredictable? Ana was on another level.
.
.
Vicky felt a little better after a shower, food, and Abby changed the sheets out on her bed so she could sleep in a fresh set. The woman laid on her side, but she wasn't getting any sleep, the blue banded turtle, what was his name? Leo. She wanted to believe him, so badly. She wanted people to trust and confide in.
And she thought she could do the same with her leadership, she should have been able to. She couldn't even trust them, why would she trust the turtles? Complete strangers? They could harm her at any point, sell her out, or just kill her. It felt like Silver all over again, and it was haunting. Would everything from here out feel like this?
But the way he spoke, it was like it was out of a movie. Did he rehearse it? What was his endgame to gaining trust and getting in her head? She already proved even dissociated that she can defeat he and his brothers in a fight. Was that why?
Lull her into trust. Sell her back to them? Use her for a weapon as well? Experiment on her? The purple one seemed shady.
But that didn't explain Abby's situation. She trusts them entirely, clearly. Gave her heart to the biggest. They would've sold her out by now if that was the case, right? Unless they wanted both of them, and to the biggest bidder...
A soft knock was on the door, just loud enough for her to hear. Vicky sat up, and stared a hole through the door practically.
"Come in" she was going to regret this. The door opened, a large outline of a turtle took up the entire door way.
Vicky leaned over to the lamp on the nightstand. Turning it on, to reveal the leader of the turtles. And just like that, instant regret she invited him in. They got into a heated argument, and then he gets all righteous on her. Tries to get into her head and gain her trust.
"Are you ok?" Vicky watched him, he stayed in the doorway, respecting her space, still. What was he doing, why was he here?
"You unpacked some heavy burdens in the living room. I just wanted to make sure you're alright" he explained.
Vicky couldn't help it. The more he gave the notion that he cared the more stand off she became with him. She stayed silent, observing the turtle. He leaned against the doorway, and he patiently waited.
"I want you to know you can talk to any of us. I know you and I got off on the wrong foot. I'm sorry for that. But even then, you can talk to me too if you wish" Leo frowned at her. She didn't need his fucking pity though.
"I'll leave you now-" Leo was quickly getting the impression this was going to take more time than he thought. He had patience, he would take however long she needed, he gave her the offer, it seemed he would just have to let her come to him.
"Wait" she didn't make eye contact with him. The turtle turned his head to look at her curiously.
"Why are you helping me" it wasn't a question, it honestly came out more like an accusation.
"Because we want to" the woman finally looked at him, eyes narrowed with her suspicion.
"We were created in a lab, stayed there a good portion of our lives. And We've been hunted for the mutagen in our blood which lead us right back to a lab, albeit not for long. April helped us escape it. We can all protect ourselves, but we can protect each other far more efficiently" the first reason Leo gave this woman was truth, but he knew she was stuck on logic and logic alone.
"And if I can't protect you?" She raised a brow.
"I'd never expect you to" He said honestly.
"But you just said-"
"Yes. I did say we can protect each other. But like it or not, everyone in this family is under my protection" he was admitting he was the first line of defense.
Vicky clung to one of the words he said the most: Family. There was no way they saw her as family, was it? No, he was tying to get into her head! He had to of been. Right? She needed to talk to someone else about this, her only bet right now would be Ana or Abby, maybe she'd talk to her in the morning. How does she just trust these guys? Or anyone for that matter?
"Take your time with this, what you went through was traumatic, you just need to give yourself time" Leo promised. Vicky was furious to admit it, but he was right, she really did need time, and to talk it out. The turtle closed the door behind him, and she laid down in the bed again, turning the lamp off. But she wasn't about to go to sleep
.
.
Everyone had finished up in the dojo, the boys were out in the living room watching the news, and Vicky found me, winded, in the kitchen downing my protein. I was actually able to do my cardio uninterrupted today, not that I EVER had any problems sparring with Raph.
"Morning" she said as I started to whip up some eggs for everyone.
"Morning Vicky" I smiled at her as I whisked the eggs in a large bowl.
I placed a hand over the pan to see if it was warm, not quite yet, so I moved to the fridge, and grabbed the shredded cheese inside while I waited.
"How" I was stunned by the extremely broad question.
"Elaborate?" I asked.
"How can you trust them, they could sell us off to a lab and get millions if not more and then we would never be a problem for them ever again, no late nights, no babysitting, risk to their lives on multiple levels, nothing" Vicky was asking me in such an intense way. I pursed my lips at the last one, I was a risk to them, and I will always feel bad for that one, especially.
"They're my family. They would never do that, they wouldn't do any of that stuff if they didn't care" I said without a stitch of doubt in my voice, because I knew I was right. They would go out and drag us back if their whole motive behind us was malicious. They wouldn't be worried like they were, they'd be just angry.
"But how do you know they never would?" The woman huffed, growing frustrated.
"I mean, they trust me to even drink their blood, live in their homes which is very intimate for them, trust me to cook and take care of them when they're really sick or injured" I told her physical things. She seemed to be teetering.
"Think about it, if their home is compromised down here, where are they going to live? If I lost control drinking their blood I could kill them, and when they're sick and injured? Prone? They still completely trust me"
"They could be playing the waiting game" Vicky reasoned.
"Raph gave me his heart. When he doesn't trust or like someone, he makes sure they know. And he did for a few months there" I assured. That time period stunk, but I understood why he did it, and I wouldn't ever hold it against him.
"If you want to trust them, it's because something is telling you to. Within you. It's not because of what happened to you, manipulating you" I assured.
"What if you're wrong?" Vicky looked at me intensely.
"I'll call myself an idiot, pick up my decimated heart, and figure it out later" I said truthfully. I started to dump the beaten eggs into the pan, an immediate sizzle happened as I got the spatula and began to move them around.
"You're just willing to take that chance?" I know why she was having this conversation with me. She was so scared to trust again, she wondered how I dealt with it.
"They are. So why not? We could kill them at any point. They haven't sold us over, locked or chained us up, or ever gave either of us a reason to not trust them. The opposite. They gave us a home, protection…. And family" I shrugged, quickly moving to the cabinet to get plates out. What a family I had, I was so proud of them, and so happy here. Vicky seemed caught up somewhere in that sentence.
"Spending more time with them, especially master Splinter, their dad, it'll ease you up. I promise." I smiled.
"I was actually about to go meditate with him. He said he could help me control myself better in my other forms. Might be good for you too, if you want to join us, there will be tea" Vicky shrugged, it would at least be something to do today instead of sitting around alone.
"Alright, let me finish making them breakfast" I began to make their plates, 5 eggs each with plenty of cheese on them, except Mikey's, I swear it didn't settle well in his stomach, and a couple pieces of toast.
"You hungry?" I looked at her, she was deep in thought.
"I'm fine"
"I already made you some" I giggled, presenting her plate. She needed to eat regardless.
"Here. Ill help you bring these out to them" Vicky decided. Aww. That was so nice of her.
"Thank you" she grabbed two and I grabbed two as we headed out to the family room. The boys seemed surprised that she was serving them, but were thankful regardless. We got back into the kitchen, ate our own breakfast quickly while I made tea, and then we both headed to the dojo.
"Splinter?" I knocked on the door gently. I really hope I wasn't ruining his meditation or interrupting something important.
"Abby, hello" Splinter was already meditating, I felt so bad for doing just that.
"Come. Sit, you are not interrupting, Vicky, you are very welcome to join us" Vicky gave me a look, she almost looked unsettled.
"Leo has to get his witchcraft mind reading from someone" I giggled, then nodded her towards the gently smiling rat master, following her with the tea pot, setting it down in front of the table he was sitting at. He even had three glasses waiting, seriously. He and his eldest son were something else entirely.
"Would you like to meditate with us Vicky?" I placed all the cups upright, and began to pour the jasmine tea in each one, Excited to meditate and relax.
"Sure" Vicky seemed tired of it all, she was just humoring herself I think, but I knew this was going to be good for her.
"Very well, close your eyes, relax your body, and just listen to my voice" The rat gently called out to both of us. I released tension in my shoulders and lower back I hadn't realized I had.
"Think of all your bad emotions, things that compromise you, why they do, and face them" he walked us through.
"Love them. Love your stress, your anxiety. Love everything that is apart of you. Come to peace with it" it really was ingenious, how would we ever get an emotional rise if we were so at peace with everything?
"With the power of peace, you will face your greatest demons, whether emotion, or alternate forms" I released a breath, I opened my eyes, feeling them change, from blue to amber the feeling right before I shifted to my fox form. But this was different, it wasn't a heat of the moment or in battle transformation. This was controlled, and I was actually ok with it surfacing like this.
I turned my attention to Vicky, her eyes were practically glowing gold, she looked surprised at the rat master, both our irises calmed down. Vicky was left stunned, her eyes wide, and she was even panting a little, the feeling was probably nothing she's felt. I recall the first time I did this, and I could relate to her.
"Woah" she breathed. I smiled at her as she looked at Splinter, as if trying to see if he was casting a spell behind his back or something, he merely kept up his genuine smile at her breakthrough.
"I… I saw memories. From when I was in my hunter form" Vicky swallowed.
"That wasn't you. Remember that" another feeling I understood to my core, with every fiber of my being, just like with what I did to the cutthroat, I had to remind myself that that was not me.
"My dear, Your emotions are valid, and will always be valid here. In your home" Vicky looked at Splinter her face going hard, and then, just like that, tears started to pour down her face. She let go, she was finally letting go of everything, but she was going to be ok, the bottle of three years of suffering blew its cap and she was able to react to everything, and release her pain.
Someone knocked on the door, Splinter moved his gentle brown eyes from the recovering woman to the door, welcoming whoever was on the other side of it. The door opened to reveal Leo, Vicky wiped some tears away with the palm of her hand, clearing her throat as she looked at the blue banded turtle.
"Thank you" She went from him to the rat master, his ears twitched, and he nodded, gently placing a hand on her shoulder, which she seemed to appreciate. I knew he would be able to help out, he was so damn good with stuff like this!

SMELLY ENCOUNTERS WITH ETHAN PT 2
So it had been a few months after my last encounter with Ethan where he basically made me his foot bitch. I had moven on and taken It for what it was. A one night fantasy come true because he was drunk. I still jerk off frequently thinking about that night. The whole thing still feels like a dream.
I hadn't really seen him much since then and I hoped It wasn't because he would feel awkward after what had happened. Honestly I question if he had even remembered with his intoxication.
But that day, he texted me out of nowhere:
ETHAN: Hey man. Wassup.
ME: not much hbu?
ETHAN: It's been a while... what are you up to?
ME: just playing PS5... I was able to snag the last one at target.
ETHAN: The fuck dude... and you weren't going to ask me to come play? I wanna try it out to see if it worth it before I get one.
ME: I mean, you are welcome to join me. Sleepover video game party? Haha
ETHAN: Fuck ya! I'll be over in about an hour.
I got butterflies in my stomach. Video game sleepover???? Was he gonna make me his bitch again? I was getting hard just thinking about it. I quickly picked up my apartment a bit. I was tempted to pick up some booze to hopefully recreate the last time but decided against it. It would look too desperate.
Some time past and Ethan arrived. He looked as hot as ever. I noticed myself acting a little nervous around him. I looked down at his shoes and they were a pretty beat up pair of Globes. Different from the converse he wore last time. He typically always wore skate shoes.
"Hey man how you been? I brought some snacks. " Ethan said as he brought them over to the counter.
"Cool thanks! Yeah I don't think we've seen each other since um... new years ?" I said awkwardly.
"Ha. New years that was a fun night... so show me this ps 5 you lucky bastard." Ethan said.
Fun night. Ugh. I just want to talk about it. And make it happen again.
We went to the couch and I handed him a controller. We played for a good hour.
"This is pretty sweet. I think i might have to get one." Ethan said.
"Yeah ... so what did you do all day?" I asked
"A lot of running around. Went and worked out a bit at the gym. Got pretty sweaty. And then came here" Ethan said.
"Not even a shower first? Is that what that smell is " I asked.
"Bitch you know you love it." Ethan said as he shoved my head into his armpit which was definaly strong. I resisted and pulled away.
We went back to playing games for a bit and somehow I ended up sitting on the floor leaning against the front of the couch while Ethan was still on the couch. At some point we switched from video games to watching a movie and I feel asleep on the floor.
I woke up to Ethan whispering my name.
"Guess he's sleeping. Fair game." I heard him say under his breath. His big shoes were hovering inches above my face. His feet had to be size 11 at least. He then removed both of his shoes and looked down at me. I shut my eyes quick to pretend I was still sleeping. The smell hit me like a ton of bricks. When I heard Ethan lean back I opened my eyes again. His big smelly feet right above my face. Not only that but this time the red, white, and black socks he was wearing had a bunch of holes in them like they were years old. The smell seemed almost stronger than the last time I had an experience with him. It was so overpowering. He lowered his feet a little more so my nose was right in his toes. His big toe poked out of one of the holes which I honestly found pretty hot. I couldn't belive this was happening again. How long should i pretend to be sleeping? I didn't want to move. I continued sniffing them trying not to inhale too deeply so he'd know I was awake. He suddenly took his big exposed toe and pried it in between my lips. I could feel it rubbing my teeth. And while he did this, his other foot remained hugging my nose. I heard him unzip his pants. I had no idea what he was planning.
"You awake yet?" Ethan asked. I didnt know what to do. But I guess it was time. I pretended to wake up.
"Huh wha..." I pulled his toe out of my mouth
"What are you doing! Ew not again" I yelled pretending I hated it.
"Excuse me! Did I say you could do that?" Ethan said sternly. He slapped my face with his stinky foot and I layed back down.
"Remember when we were young? At sleepovers, anyone that falls asleep first would get hazed." Ethan said. He was determined to make me his bitch again. Who was I to stand in his way? He reached down and pulled his socks off and leaned back again. His big rank feet centimeters from my face.
"After my work out, and wearing these socks for a couple days, I could use a good cleaning. Stick your tongue out" Ethan demanded. I obliged. What immediately followed was Ethans big foot sliding across my tongue. I could taste the workout and the days old socks with every lick. Ethan kept doing this and then started on the toes, sliding my tongue between each one. I could feel the sock lint on my tongue. After what seemed like forever, Ethan switched to the other foot and it was the whole process all over again. My tongue was so dry and so smelly.
After about 20 minutes of vigorous torture to my tongue Ethan took his feet off of me.
"Good boy. Now re-lubricate that tongue." He said. I pulled my tongue back in my mouth and all I could taste was Ethans feet. Once I gained enough saliva, I swallowed and could feel the dirt and grime go all the way down. It took me a minute to catch my breath. I started to get back up.
"Nope." Ethan said as he pushed me forcefully back to the ground.
I was confused... his feet were clean, what was coming next?
Suddenly I could see Ethan's huge balls coming down from above me. He layed them over my nose and they smelled phenomenal. Like they had been excessively sweating all day long.
"Tongue out" he said. Once again I obliged.
His huge nuts started to slide across my tongue. I could feel the stubble on his balls, but they were mostly smooth. He was stroking his large uncut cock while he did this. This was way further than we got the last time we hung out. Ethan suddenly used his hands and stuffed his huge nuts into my mouth. I had to open very wide for them. I could barely breathe. His balls were gagging me and his sweaty taint was over my nose. As he would jerk off I could feel his precum dripping down my chin. I was so turned on.
"Yeah clean off those balls good like you did my feet." Ethan said.
I could feel Ethan reaching climax as I swirled my tongue around his balls. I watched him reach over and grab one of his stinky holey socks, and put it over his cock. I watched him cum in ecstacy while my mouth was stuffed with nuts. He pulled his cum filled sock off his dick and pulled his balls out of my mouth and sat back up on the couch.
"Whew. So yeah. You can expect that when you fall asleep first. " Ethan said laughing. He went back to playing video games and I didn't even know what to do. I started to get up and I was about to grab the other controller to play with him and he grabbed my hand.
"Nah you aren't done yet." He said. He took his cum filled stinky cock and stuffed it in my mouth.
"Chew on that for a while and tell me when it's clean." Ethan said.
So i watched Ethan play video games over the next half hour while sucking on this cum filled filthy sock. This was probably the best night of my life, even better than the first time. I couldnt wait to see what would happen next time we hung out.

Me X Lee Chang-jin. Part 2
Tumblr media
After a couple of drinks, we were on our 11th drink, me and Chang-jin was very drunk. My first time being drunk, too. We were loud and laughing randomly. I was right next to him. The bartender looked over at us and wondered if he should kick us out, but Lee Chang-jin was his regular and didn't want to kick his best customer out. Chang-jin looked at me and smiled. "You...you are...you are the...greatest...friend...ever," he said. I laughed and punched his shoulder. He almost fell, but caught hold of the table. "Hey now....bartender around round here!" Chang-jin yelled. The bartender heard him and got more drinks for them. "Fuck...we...I...am...drunk...wait...we are...friends now?" I asked and hiccupped. Chang-jin laughed as he nodded. "Ya...we...we are. I...don't have...much friends," he said, and he finished his drink. "People...they don't...like me much." I put my hand over his, and he smiled then took my hand. The bartender came with the 12th drinks. Chang-jin got his drink then took a sip of it. I looked at our hand then took a sip of my drink. "Hey...I...like you," Chang-jin said suddenly. "Oh...shit." He didn't think that would slip out, but he was drunk. I looked at him. He looked at our hands. Did he say what I think he said. I smiled and leaned towards him. "What?" I asked. Chang-jin laughed then took another sip of his drink. I watched him take another drink and smiled. "Well...ya know...I was in love with...you...when I first...saw you," I said. Chang-jin was surprised. "Really?" he asked. I nodded and took my hand from his. He looked at his empty hand then put it in his lap. "I...uh...need to...go back," I said then took a sip of my drink. I slowly got up from the chair and almost fell over. "Oh...no. You come..." Chang-jin stopped then got to his feet. He took his cane. "You come home with me," Chang-jin said. He took a step and fell to one knee. I kneel down and put my hand on his shoulder. "We are both drunk. Remember?" I said then laughed. "We need a chauffeur. I don't want to get in accident if you drove." Chang-jin got up on his feet with the help of his cane and me. He sat down on the chair and sighed. I looked at him up and down. His hair was messy and his suit disheveled. I sat back down, too. Chang-jin got his phone out and texted somebody. After a few minutes, Chang-jin looked at me. "I got a person coming," he said. I nodded and Chang-jin ran his hand through his hair. "You...are a...mess. Wait...am I?" I asked looking down at my shirt. Chang-jin looked at him and smirked. "Your hair is messy. Shirt looks fine. We smell of booze though," he said and laughed as he tapped his cane. "Oh. I'll take a shower later," I said. "Same here," he said.
Chang-jin's chauffeur drove us to his home. While on the drive, I was getting sleepy, so I leaned my head against Chang-jin's shoulder. He looked over and smiled then put his head against mine. He slid his hand over to my lap and laid it there. I felt it and smiled then slide my hand over his. "Falling for someone you just met, Chang-jin?" he thought to himself then smiled. "I am." Once we got to Chang-jin's house, he gently shook me. "Hmm," I said. "We are here," he whispered. I slowly opened my eyes and a street light shine into the car. "Ugh...okay...help me," I said. "Sure," he said. We got out of the car and Chang-jin helped me to the front door. Well, we helped each other. The chauffeur opened the door after unlocking it. We went inside and to the living room while the chauffeur turned the lights on. "Whew," Chang-jin said as we both sat down. I leaned my head against the sofa. Chang-jin looked at me then at the clock on the wall above the TV. It was past midnight. "You can have...my bed," he said as he looked over at me. I turned my head to the side and looked at him. "I don't want to intrude on your bedroom...um...I'll sleep in the guest room," I said. "You got one, right?" "Yeah, but I insist you take it then I take the guest room," he said. The chauffeur went over to Chang-jin. "I got the lights on Mr. Lee," he said. Chang-jin looked over at him. "Thank you. You can catch a uber back home," he said. He bowed then left the house. "I need water then I am going to the guest room," I said as I got up and stumbled to the kitchen. Chang-jin frowned and followed you. "No. Look you can sleep in my bed just once. One night. It's cozy and not cold like the other bed. It hasn't been slept in for a while," he said. I heard the tapping of his cane on the floor as he followed behind. I glanced around for a glass then stopped. "Where are the glasses Chang-jin?" I asked. He came up behind me and put his hand on the counter next to him. He pointed to a cabinet next to the fridge. "Right of the fridge," he said. I looked at his hand then walked over to the cabinet. He watched me without saying anything. I got the water from the fridge. A second later, I heard the cabinet open and close. I looked over at him. "I need some, too," he said. I nodded and moved out of the way. He got his as I walked over to the stairs. It was late and surprisingly I was tired. "Show me your room. I'll decide for myself if I want to sleep in your bed," I said and looked back at Chang-jin. He took a sip of his water then nodded.
When we walked into the master bedroom, I stopped and looked around the room. Chang-jin was behind me and looked over my shoulder into his room. It had white walls and some black decorations. I looked at the bed and smiled. "King bed?" I asked over my shoulder. "Yes it is," he said and took a sip of his water. I nodded as I walked in and looked at the pictures of himself with some people, probably friends. Chang-jin went over to the bathroom. "This is the bathroom. Not big, but it has what I need," he said. I went over to it and looked in. I saw a shower and smirked. "I still need to take a shower. I know it's past midnight, and I am exhausted, but I stink so bad," I said. "Sure you can take one," he said. I put the glass down on a table and sat down on the bed to feel it was. "Hmm...this could work. I will sleep in here, Chang-jin," I said. He smiled. "That is good. I'll go and let you take your shower," Chang-jin said. I got up and put my bag on the bed then looked over at him then remembered something. "Wait, the clothes. I don't have anything to get dress in. Do you have anything I can borrow?" I asked. He stopped at the door, turned to me and thought about that. He put the glass down on his drawer and looked inside some. I watched him and smiled. Soon he found a shirt and PJ bottoms that I can borrow. "Here you are. Hope they fit you," he said as he handed the clothes to me. I took it from and nodded. "I think they will. Thank you," I said. He bowed, took the glass and left. I watched him leave then went to the bathroom.
In the guest room, Chang-jin sighed loudly as he put he glass on the table next to the bed. He put the cane on the bed and took his tie off. "I need her to be mine," he said. He sat down and took his shoes off then sat there for a moment. He thought about the moment that he first saw her. He smiled at that thought. He was taking a walk around the courtyard when he first saw her. He noticed that she tried not to look over at him a couple of time. He saw her talking to a friend. He licked his lips then took a sip of his water. Chang-jin got up and took his suit jacket off then his shirt. He laid them on the bed. "I will have to do the laundry later," he said. He took his pants off and remembered he needed to get a change of clothes for bed, so he went back to his bedroom wearing only his boxers. He heard the shower going. He bit his lips and thought about sneaking a peek. He shrugged and sneak to the bathroom door. He poked his head around the door frame and saw Jamie in the shower. He smiled and looked down at his feet. "I am going to do it," he said and pulled down his boxers. He went to the shower door and pulled it open.
I heard the shower door and spun around. I was surprised to see Chang-jin in the shower with me. I covered up my private parts with my hands as much as I can. "Hello? I was here first. Remember?" I asked. I didn't look down even if I wanted to. Chang-jin laughed as he nodded. "True, but I thought, 'hey, why waste the water twice when I can just take one with you.' Is that okay?" he asked. I turned around and shrugged. "It's your bathroom I guess. Do whatever you like," I said. He watched the water run down my body and looked at my ass. He turned around and waited for me to move. I looked over my shoulder and his back facing me. I glanced down at his ass and bit my bottom lip. Chang-jin glanced around the bathroom then glanced at me. He turned around and put a hand on my hip. "In our drunken state, I remember saying that I like you and you saying that you are in love with me. Right?" he asked. I felt his hand on my hip and I looked down at it as he talked. I nodded at his question. He stepped closer to me and I felt his dick against my ass. I gasp and bit my lip. "Um...yes that is right. Why? So you want to...fuck?" I asked as I turned around. Chang-jin smirked and put his other hand on your other hip and nodded. "Yes I do, Jamie. Please. I know it's not right, and we should wait, but I want you now," he said then pressed his lips against mine. I smirked and kissed him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck. He moved me up against the shower wall as the run down our bodies. He ran kissed from my jawline to my neck then sucked on it for a bit. I titled my head, so he can get to it easy. Chang-jin moved his hand up to my breast and thumb my nipple. "Oh fuck," I moaned. Chang-jin lifted his head and looked at me. "Want to go to the bed. It would comfy there instead of here. I don't want us to slip and I don't want to waste water,” he said.
All I could do was nod. He gave me a quick kiss, shut the water off and got out. He got a towel and dried off then I got out and did the same. I finally looked down at his dick and it was hard. Looks to be about 7 or 8 inches. I gasp as I thought about it being inside. Chang-jin smirked and set the towel in the laundry basket. "Come on. Let's not waste a moment," he said. I put the towel in the basket, too and followed Chang-jin to the bedroom. He took me in his arms and we kissed more. I was happy to be in this position. Soon he turned me around and bend me over the bed. I put my hands on the bed and looked back at him. "Have you had sex before?" he asked. I bit my bottom lip then sighed. "No. You'll be my first," I said. "Ah that is very good. I am honor to be your first," he said. I smiled and put my head down on the bed. He placed his dick at my hole and I felt it. "Please be slow and careful with me at first," I said and closed my eyes. He placed one of his hand on my back and the other on my right hip. "Okay. I am going in now," he said. I nodded then gripped the blanket when I felt him slide in. He went out and back in. He went slow as he didn't want to hurt Jamie. Chang-jin looked at the back of her head. I loved the feeling of his dick in me. I moaned at each thrust. Chang-jin also moaned as he thrust into me. We were both getting hot and sweaty. After a few minutes, he stopped and pulled out. I frowned and looked over my shoulder at him. "What? Why you stopped. Continue please," I said as I was breathing heavily. Chang-jin was breathing heavily. "Yeah...I want to face you...as we fuck now," he said. "Oh. Yeah," I said then got on the bed. I laid down in the middle and watched Chang-jin crawl on top of me. I opened my legs and he got in between them. "You are so damn hot," he said. "You are the sexiest man ever," I said. He smirked and kissed me. Then he suddenly pushed into my vagina and I moaned into his mouth. He put a hand on the headboard to keep himself from falling on me. I wrapped my arms around his waist. "Deeper," I moaned as I leaned my head back. Chang-jin rocked his hips faster. He placed kisses down my chest then sucked on each of my nipple. "Chang-jin!" I yelled. He smirked and looked up at me. "How am I doing?" he asked. "Oh God. You are doing fantastic. Don't stop please," I said. He nodded and continued.
After a few minutes, he looked at me. I looked at him and his face was red and his hair was messy. "I am about to cum babe. It's okay that I can call you that?" he asked. I nodded and kissed his lips. "Call me anything and cum inside me please. I am close, too," I said. He kissed me back and rocked his hips a bit more then cum inside of me. He screamed my name as he did. "JAMIE!" I cum when he screamed my name. He slid out and laid next to me breathing heavily. I was breathing heavily, too. Chang-jin ran his hand through his sweaty hair. I looked over at him and smiled. "I love you, Chang-jin," I said. He turned his head to the side and looked at me. "I love you, too, Jamie," he said and smiled. I moved closer to him and put my head on his chest. Chang-jin wrapped an arm around me. I put my hand on his chest and I felt his heart still racing. "Hey, can you tell me something in Korean then translate it?" I asked. He smiled and put his hand on my arm. "I can do that," Chang-jin said. I smiled and looked up at his face. He looked down at me. "dangsin-eun ije nae salang-ibnida. dangsin-eul bogo geuleon yeppeun yeojaneun na-ege gwansim-i eobs-eul jul al-assneunde yeogi dangsin-i issseubnida. dangsin-eun jigeum nae ma-eum-eul gajigo issseubnida. naega dangsin-eul bohohago dangsin-i eotteon eolyeoum-e cheohaess-eul ttae dowajul geos-ibnida. dangsin-i na-egedo ttoggat-i hal geos-ilaneun geos-eul algo issseubnida," he said. I smiled as he talked Korean. When he finished he kissed my forehead. "Now I will translate, I said, 'You are my love now. When I saw you, I thought a pretty woman like that would never be interested in me, but here you are. You have my heart now. I will protect you and help you in any trouble you get into. I know you will do the same for me.' Which is true right?" Chang-jin asked. I smiled as I nodded. "Yeah you are my love, too. You also have my heart. I will protect you and help you when you are in trouble," I said. Chang-jin smiled and I looked over at the alarm clock. "Almost 3 AM. I guess we should sleep now," I said. He rubbed my arm and nodded. "We can. I want to talk about us in the morning," he said. "Oh shit, he wants to talk about us," I thought to myself. I smiled and nodded. "Okay," I said. We slept together on top of the blanket.
During the night, I woke up and noticed that I was on my right side. I looked over at Chang-jin, who was facing the other way on his side. I sat up and ran my hand through my hair. "Now I got to use the bathroom," I whispered then got up. I went to the bathroom and left the door open. I turned the light on and used the toilet. After a couple of minutes, I wiped my ass, flushed, washed my hands and shut the light off. I nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw Chang-jin sitting up and looking over at me. "Oh hell. Chang-jin! You almost gave me a heart attack," I said as I went to the bed. "You okay?" I got in bed and Chang-jin took me in his arms then kissed the top of my head. "Yes. Thought you left then I saw the light in the bathroom," he said. I looked at his face and ran my hand down his cheek. "I would never leave in the middle of the night. If I did I would go back to an empty hotel room. I love it here and being with you," I said. He smiled as he ran his fingers through my hair. "I love being here with you, too. Come on lets go back to sleep," Chang-jin said. We laid down and I stayed in his arms.
(I am not sure if the Korean words are right on this, but I type what I wanted in the translating on Google Translate and it said that.)

Horns
Horns - Bryce Fox
THANK YOU SO MUCH @chromium7sky and @andthendk for your amazing art pieces (andthedk and chromium7sky) that you blessed me with a while ago. Sorry this took so long to get out! I just hope it’s okay!
(and lets be real here, there’s definitely more kicking around in my head)
- - -
Damian gritted his teeth together as he looked around the space, his lip curling up at the edges. It smelled of sweat, cheap liquor, and something sticky and sweet. God. He wasn’t sure how Raven even managed to be in here for as long as she had. After three weeks of this, he had half a mind to call her a damned saint.
With a hushed curse that slipped between clenched teeth, Damian adjusted the dark sunglasses on his face and shoved his hands in his leather jacket. He stepped deeper into the space, ignoring the dark stare from the bouncer and the bartender near the exit. It was just after 4:00 in the afternoon, and besides a few other men milling around the stage, there wasn’t anyone here. That was good. Less people could recognize him at least.
He wove between the tables and took a seat near the stage, kicking his feet out in front of him and spreading his legs wide to take up as much space as possible. The last thing he needed was to look approachable and have some dancer coming over and offering a private dance. Ugh. Damian picked up his phone and flicked through the messages, chewing on the inside of his cheek and trying to ignore the way his hair stood up on end. He felt like he was being watched, and every instinct inside him was telling him to run.
“Hey, handsome.”
Damian didn’t look up from his phone, but caught a flash of pale, exposed skin from the corner of his stare. He sneered and moved his thumb to check his emails, ignoring whoever was standing in front of him. “I’m not interested in a dance.”
“Good, because I think that would be pretty weird if you saw my breasts.”
Damian jerked and looked up into Raven’s face. She gave him a teasing smile, and he almost didn’t recognize her through the heavy makeup and extensions that curled luscious, black curls down her back. She tucked a waitress tray against her hip and her lips twitched as if she was hiding a secret about him even he didn’t know. He swallowed and swept his eyes down her body, taking in the sight of whatever she was wearing - a dark blue button down, with most of the buttons undone, tucked into a mini-skirt that barely qualified as clothing. It looked practically prim compared to what the other women were wearing, but there was something about it that set his blood boiling. He found himself thinking about ripping it off her and exposing whatever she was hiding underneath.
What was he thinking? His face burned red with embarrassment and he ran his fingers through his hair. This was his teammate and his friend. The absolutely last thing he should be thinking of, was Raven naked.
“Eyes up here, sunshine.”
Damian flushed and listed his eyes to meet her stare. His mouth tightened and he looked back into his phone, pretending not to be interested in her. “Any progress?”
“Mm.” Raven leaned over the table, pressing her hand to the dark surface. She dropped her voice low, barely audible over the heavy bass of the song playing. “You know most men usually order a few drinks and take in a show while they’re here. They typically don’t spend the whole time on their phone ignoring half-naked women traipsing around them.”
Damian picked up his head and tried not to look down her shirt, but he caught the edge of what looked like… webbing. Black, lacy webbing encasing her pale breasts. Oh, god. Now he was thinking about her breasts. He swallowed and looked back up in her eyes, grinding his teeth together to keep emotions from showing on his face.
“Fine. Then, get me a whiskey that doesn’t taste like swill and glitter, and then… do whatever you need to make it look like you’re…” He paused, biting back the taste of something heavy and needy in his mouth. “…working.”
She stood back up and shifted in her too-tall heels. Had her legs always looked a mile long? “Did you want a private dance, sir?”
His expression fell. Cheeky. He huffed in annoyance and glanced back up at her. “What does that entail?”
“Bottle service and five hundred dollars.” She gave him a coy grin. “But it’s very private. So… you’re free to do… whatever you want. You can even touch me if you want to.”
Raven leaned over in a move that was obviously practiced, and Damian wondered how many men she had tried it on before. How many private dances had she given? How many men had touched her? Ran their fingers over every inch of her body? Jealousy clawed at him, and he took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. She was undercover and this was her job, he needed to remember that.
Without waiting for an answer, Raven held out her hand, palm up. “Will that be cash or credit?”
His stare was flat and he handed her his credit card. “I’ll expense it later.”
“I’m sure Star will love that.” Raven snorted and took the card from him, disappearing to the bar for a few minutes before returning with a bottle of some subpar whiskey, two glasses, and a key on a ridiculous and flashy keychain. She fluttered her eyelashes and motioned for him to follow her into the back, and Damian trailed after her, trying not to look at the way her plump ass peeked out from the hem of her not-quite-a-skirt. Tried not to look… and failed. His tongue slid along his lower lip and he wondered what it would be like to grab-
No. No. This was his teammate. He needed to remember that. Raven wasn’t just some girl, she was his friend and the one person he trusted more than anyone else. In fact, he trusted her more than he trusted his own family. Raven had earned his respect a hundred times over, and he shouldn’t be ogling her like that.
Damian straightened his jacket and followed her through into a small, dark room in the back. Music poured in from overhead speakers, and the lights were low enough to cast secretive shadows over her body, but bright enough to let him see every part of her. The smell of salt and sweat and booze filled his nose again, but he choked down his response and sat down on the sofa against the far wall. Crossing his arms over his chest, Damian tried not to think about what likely happened on the black leather. Ew. Gross.
Raven poured him a drink with that sickly-sweet smile again, her eyes fluttering. When she stood back up, she let her hips move slowly, as if dancing to the music. Damian felt his heart pick up speed, slamming wildly against his ribs as he watched Raven’s fingers glide along the buttons of her dark blue shirt. She pulled the tails out of the waistband of her skirt, and unbuttoned the last few buttons.
Damian groaned at the sight of her dressed in black lace made to look like spiderwebs. It was dark and dangerous, and it reminded him so much of her. He bit the inside of his cheek and let his eyes wander down her body, hoping she didn’t notice how much he… he liked it. Her breasts were pushed high, gently bouncing with each movement she made, and- he shouldn’t notice things like that. Shame colored his cheeks and he looked away, rubbing his hand along the back of his neck. His friend and his teammate. His friend and his teammate. His friend and his teammate. If he kept repeating that mantra long enough, maybe he’d actually remember it.
Raven allowed her shirt to slip down her arms, gathering at her wrists before pulling it off her, and then tossing it carelessly behind her. Damian suspected she used her powers because it landed perfectly against the frame of a mirror across from him, covering the glass.
“Whew.” Raven’s hips stopped moving, and she kicked off her shoes with a curse. She bent down and rubbed her foot for a moment before limping over to the sofa, falling down next to him. “Thank god that’s over and you can stop pretending to watch me dance.”
Right. Pretending.
“Sorry, I had to put on a show. The mirror is a two-way mirror, and sometimes the sleazebag owner lets people sit and watch what happens in here - sometimes for extra money, sometimes for blackmail.” She gave him a sympathetic smile, kicking her feet up on the table in front of her. “And seeing a Wayne in here would definitely give him a reason to spy.”
“Oh.” He watched as she flicked a lock of hair out of her face, letting silence settle over both of them. Finally, he turned and stared ahead, careful not to look too long at any part of her. “So… how are you doing?”
“Hard to say. The emotions here overwhelm me, the owner is - as I said before - a complete and utter sleazebag, and… I would give anything to take these stupid extensions out.” She tugged at her hair and groaned, her head falling back on her neck as she stared at the ceiling. A long sigh escaped and she glanced at him from the corner of her eye. “I know that what we’re doing here is important, but I cannot wait until I get to go home. I miss my friends and teammates.” Pause. “I miss you.”
That made him look up. His heart turned over and he didn’t want to think about how he missed her too. How the noise of the tower was even more grating than usual, how he got up early and felt his heart sink when he remembered that she wasn’t there. Damian glanced over at her and remembered how he had made her a cup of tea this morning, out of habit, and when she didn’t sit with him at breakfast he felt his whole body sink with disappointment. He missed their late night conversations and quiet moments together - he missed her. Every part of her.
He chewed on his lip and looked away again, taking a calm, steadying breath. That was a bag of emotions he didn’t want to think about just yet. Right now, it was better to focus on her mission. “Did you find anything out?”
“Mm.” Raven nodded and picked at her nails, thinking. “We were right with our initial intel. He is trafficking women - Metas specifically. Most of the woman have low-level powers, but they’re still Metas. One woman has gone missing since I’ve been here, and another woman was taken about eight months ago. Long enough that it’s not raising suspicion with the police. Star and Cy are talking about how we need to do to get the owner to notice me. If he figures out that I’m a Meta, he’ll definitely cart my ass off to where he sent two other dancers.”
The thought of Raven purposefully putting herself in danger made him feel anxious and uncomfortable. He reached forward and took a drink of the disgusting whiskey before setting it back on the table. “And you… want that?”
“Not really.” Raven rubbed at her jaw, looking away. “But if there’s anyone strong enough to go up against whatever he has his fingers in, it’s me and Cy and Star.” She smirked and glanced back at him. “Unless Robin wants to join in?”
“You know I’m watching over you. But, I have to be careful with… this.” He waved his hand over his face. “If I bring too much media attention to this gross strip club, it can blow the whole mission. The last thing we need is for a paparazzi to catch me here. It would blow everything.”
Her expression softened and she leaned close to him, a small smile pulling at her lips. “I know.” She leaned closer to him, her hand resting on his thigh. “But I seem to remember a certain masked man hovering on the roof two nights ago while I was here.”
Damnit. He had hoped she hadn’t seen him. Damian flushed and shrugged, glancing away as he scratched at his neck. “I want you to know that you’re safe. You can’t blame me for worrying about you.”
“No, I guess not.” She pulled away, her hand falling back to her own side. “But, I’m the daughter of a demon and you think I can’t take care of myself?”
He looked back at her, frowning. “You know that’s not-”
“Shit.” Raven grabbed the sunglasses from the table in front of them and shoved them back on his face. Before Damian could question exactly what she was doing, he felt her swing her leg over his lap, and she settled onto the tops of his thighs.
No. Oh, gods. No. He opened his mouth to tell her to get the hell off of him, but before he could utter a word, she pressed her lips to his own. Oh no. Damian’s eyes widened as his heart picked up speed again in his chest, and he felt her hand slide up the side of his cheek while her other hand guided his fingers under her skirt. He could feel the roundness of her ass flex under his touch, and that was… not helping. That was not helping at all.
Damian ground his teeth together and tried not to kiss her back, or think about how soft she felt, or how lithe she seemed… but it was too late. Everything was too late. He could feel his whole body start to react to her, like she was his favorite meal and he was starved for her. He needed her. Wanted her. Beyond anything he had ever experienced before. Blood surged through his veins, hot and molten, and Damian’s fingers grabbed a handful of her ass, squeezing as his mouth matched hers in intensity. He needed this like he needed air. He would just have to find an apology later.
The door clicked open and Raven broke the kiss, pulling Damian’s face into her neck. Someone was watching them, and he had a good feeling it was the sleazebag owner Raven had been talking about before. He heard her whisper a spell, but kept his face hidden by her neck just in case. God. How did she smell so damn good?
“Oh. I’m sorry.”
It was the owner. That explained it. He was probably confused by the fact that the two way mirror was covered. Damian’s fingers stilled against Raven’s ass, but she pulled him tighter against her soft curves, and he realized that she was trying to hide his face from the owner. Smart. Of course, it was Raven, she had probably thought about this before.
“Oh. I’m sorry for interrupting.” He didn’t sound sorry. He sounded like a wheezing bag of misplaced lust. Tch. Like Raven would ever have any kind of emotion for him. “I trust you’re taking care of our guest, Rachel?”
Raven picked up her head, her fingers tangling in his hair. “Of course, sir.”
The owner gave a thick, fake laugh, obviously enjoying the fact that Raven called him sir. Damian didn’t dare show his face, but he could feel the leer that Raven was subject to, and he felt something possessive and angry rise up in him. Raven was-
Was what? His? Damian nearly snorted. He wasn’t even sure what Raven was to him. A teammate? Yes. A friend? Yes. But… what kind of friend admired her breasts encased in black webbing? Ugh. He kissed along her neck, his other hand sliding along her waist and pulling her tight against his chest. It was only to keep up appearances, obviously. It wasn’t as if he had… feelings for her…
…right?
“Good. Good…” He continued to leer at her and Damian finally growled, the sound muffled by Raven’s neck. The owner hummed, as if put out by not being allowed to join in with them. “Well, I’ll leave you to it. Let me know if you need any service at all.”
Raven nodded, and Damian waited until the owner left before he stopped kissing her neck. He wanted to let his hands and mouth wander, but he knew better. Damian looked up at her, his eyes searching her face. She looked exhausted, frustrated by the situation and uncertain about what their next step should be. The tension between them was thick, and he was almost certain that she could feel the press of his erection against her thigh. That was embarrassing. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, and Damian watched her lift her hand to brush a lock of hair out of his eyes, fingers trailing along the side of his face. It was surprisingly tender, and it made his heart turn over in his chest.
“You should go.”
“Yeah…” His fingers trailed down the backs of her thighs, feeling the soft nylon of her stockings under his touch, and he licked his lips. “I should go.”
But, he didn’t move, and neither did Raven.
Finally, as though he had lost all common sense, Damian leaned up to press a slow, gentle kiss to her lower lip. Raven groaned and she shivered, leaning into him. Her mouth felt… hungry. Desperate. His hand disappeared under her skirt again, and he grabbed a handful of her bare ass, pulling her tight against him. Raven moaned into his mouth, and her fingers buried into his hair, taking every kiss he offered as though she were a parched woman and he was a drink of water. She tasted of curses and mint chapstick, and Damian knew he would never taste anything better in his life.
Raven pulled away, gasping. Damian watched as her soft breasts tightened against the cups of her bustier, the black webbing straining with every breath. Finally he closed his eyes and let his hands fall to his sides. If he kept touching her, he was going to make terrible decisions. “I… shouldn’t have gotten carried away. Sorry.” He didn’t feel all that apologetic, but that sounded like something he should say.
“O-oh.” Raven crawled off his lap and adjusted the few scraps of clothing she was wearing, as if she needed something . “I’m… sorry too. I shouldn’t have… you know. Surprised you.”
“Mm.” Damian watched as she went to her shirt still hanging from the mirror frame, pulling it on and tucking it back into her skirt. It was like she was erasing every part of their exchange, and he… he didn’t want that to happen. He wanted to feel her bare skin against his fingers, and feel every part of her tremble and shake.
But…
He didn’t know what they were before.
And…
Raven gave him a soft, almost shy smile and turned away as she finished redressing herself.
…he definitely didn’t know what they were now.

Can I get a scenario for Zoro opens up to his s/o about Kuina?
Zoro/Reader: A Single Step
Tumblr media
It had all started when Zoro had been enjoying a nighttime bottle of sake with his s/o on the deck, laughing and looking up at the stars together. When Zoro turned over the bottle to find that it was empty, ____ had stumbled their way up to a standing position and headed to the kitchen to grab another one from the cellar below-deck. Zoro followed behind them, and the two of them slurred their words as they playfully nudged and shushed each other to not wake the rest of the crew.
"Ok...Okay, you turn on th' light," Zoro said, "And I'll open the door to the booze room."
"The cellar," ____ corrected with a titter, flicking on the light to the kitchen and then moving to swat Zoro's head. "You can store stuff in a cellar that isn't booze, you know."
"Like what?"
____ blinked and racked their fuzzy memory for an example of one of the many things one can keep in a cellar.
"You know...Stuff?"
The two of them laughed and made their way to the large wooden floor panel leading to the cold cellar underneath the kitchen. While Zoro leaned down to slide it, ____ took the opportunity to eye their boyfriend's backside with a grin while he was bent over and crouching. The panel easily moved aside, and Zoro took a step down the wooden staircase; suddenly, he felt ____ pushing up against his back as they tried to worm their way around him.
"First one down there gets to pick the sake," they declared, squirming to push past Zoro. "No more cheap shit; I'm getting the good stuff!"
Zoro tensed as they tried to maneuver on the narrow steps and groped around in the dimly-lit entrance to the cellar. Before he could snap at them to not rush down there, he saw ____ stumble on the next step and then start to fall backwards. They let out a sharp gasp that sent a cold chill down Zoro's spine; whether it was because of the sake he'd had, or from the sudden adrenaline rush as he saw ____ fall, time seemed to slow down to a crawl. They're going to fall. They're going to fall, they're going to die if they fall, just like--
Even if he wasn't sober, Zoro's reflexes as a swordsman were still lightning fast. He immediately grabbed ____ by the front of their shirt with one hand and jerked their body forward towards him, and then he immediately put his other arm around their back to keep them secure and close to him. His heartbeat was pounding in his ears, and he felt a thin layer of sweat forming on his forehead. The sound of his s/o's breathing and the small puffs of air against his skin helped calm him down slightly. Still breathing. Still breathing… Zoro's chest rose and fell, and he held them a bit tighter in his arms. They're still here.
____ snorted out a laugh and rested their head on Zoro's shoulder. "Whew, you saved my ass there," they giggled, their cheeks warm and the smell of sake lingering on their breath. They rocked back and forth against Zoro on the staircase while talking in a sing-song-y voice. "I need to be more carefuuuuul--"
They cut off their drunken little ditty with a small gasp as Zoro abruptly marched up the stairs while still holding them. When they were just about to ask what the hell he was doing, or where he was going, he firmly put his hands on either side of ____'s shoulders and glared at them. Now that they were no longer in the dim, barely existent light of the basement, ____ could see his features clearly; their eyes widened a bit when they saw the intense look on his face and the angry tears in his eyes. "Never, ever do that again," Zoro demanded. His voice was no longer relaxed and breezy the way it usually was when he was drunk, but tense and thick. ____ couldn't remember the last time he was this close to tears around them. He shook them a little bit as he held them, trying to put some sense into them and make them see how dangerous that was just now. "What if I didn't catch you? You could've broken your damn neck!"
____ blinked up at Zoro, feeling a wave of shame wash over their chest. "It...Ok, sure, I won't," they said slowly, confused and taken aback by his extreme and emotional reaction. "Look, Zoro, I'm fine. Okay? Just calm down." They were hesitant for a second, and then spoke again. "Why are you acting like this over one stupid trip down the stairs? I mean, you're protective, but…" ____ looked up at them. "I probably woulda just fallen and twisted my ankle. It's like, five steps total! And--"
"That doesn't matter," Zoro snapped. "You can still die from a fall down a short set of stairs, and I would've...I would've…" He trailed off and looked away, relaxing his grip on their shoulders a bit before sighing through his nose. "Just...be more careful when you go down the stairs like that. Okay?"
____ furrowed their brows and gently cupped Zoro's face as they guided him to look at them again. "Hey," they murmured, their voice laced with concern. "Tell me what's wrong."
Zoro resisted a bit against their hand and refused to look at them. "Nothing," he dismissed. "I just want you to be more careful."
____ pulled him to look at them again, staring straight into his eyes. "Zoro," they insisted firmly. "What is it?"
Zoro was silent, clenching his jaw slightly as he stared back at them. He bit a part of his lower lip and wondered what he should say; he hadn't talked about what had happened to Kuina ever since...well, since it had happened. It was already painful to think about, so he'd always try to think of something else before he started to feel that weight on his chest that never seemed to leave him completely ever since he had gone to her funeral. Talking about it would probably be even more painful.
Still, this was ____-- not just a friend, and not just one of his nakama either. He didn't want to keep anything from someone so close to him, they deserved to know the truth about his past without him closing himself off, just for the sake of his own feelings.
He finally came back to reality and out of his own head when ____ took a step closer to put their head on his shoulder again, putting their arms around him. "I'm sorry," they said quietly, their voice a bit wobbly, just like their drunken stance as they swayed against him a bit. "I. Um, I dunno what...this…is all about exactly--" They gently pressed their hands against his back. "But whatever it is, I'm sorry."
Zoro leaned against them and wrapped his arms around them. "It's not your fault," he replied, holding them close. "It's because of…" He felt the weight on his chest slowly starting to sink further and further as he remembered Kuina. "Of something that happened a long time ago, to a friend of mine."
____ was silent as they waited for Zoro to continue, not wanting to interrupt him. Zoro slowly pulled away from them and led them to the two seats near the kitchen table. Zoro sat next to ____ and crossed his arms while he leaned forward a bit. "I learned how to be a swordsman from an old man who had his own dojo," he began. "And he had a daughter named Kuina…"
The entire time Zoro told the story of his childhood friend, ____ was dead silent and their expression remained largely unchanged as he talked. When he finally explained Kuina's untimely death from her accident, the weight on Zoro's chest had made it hard for him to breathe, let alone talk. Still, he simply clenched his fists and powered through that suffocating ache, wanting to finish what he'd started now that he'd finally decided to talk about Kuina. When he'd finished explaining, he could feel the sting of his palms from where his nails had dug in and left imprints on his skin.
____ was quiet for a long time after he'd finished speaking, and when they seemed to have gotten their thoughts together, they simply scooted their chair closer to Zoro so they could rest their hand against his and squeeze it gently. "I'm...I'm so sorry," they said finally, their voice cracking a bit. "If I'd known, I wouldn't have done that."
Zoro shrugged. "There wasn't any way for you to know," he replied, his voice a bit hollow and flat. "Not unless I had decided to tell you. But I didn't want to talk about it--about her." His chest burned with shame, and he looked down at the table between them. "If I wasn't so afraid of talking about it until now, this wouldn't have happened. It's my fault, in the end."
"No, 's not your fault," ____ insisted, slurring their words a bit. They smiled a bit. "Even if I didn't know about her, it was still a jackass move for me to play around on the stairs like that while I'm drunk."
Zoro's lips had the faintest hint of a smile as he glanced back up at them. "You are pretty stupid when you're drunk," he replied. "I should've just kept that whole bottle to myself, since you're such a lightweight on top of that."
____ rolled their eyes and playfully punched Zoro's shoulder. "We all have our flaws, you know," they replied with a grin. "I may be a dumbass when I'm drunk, which is pretty often when you've got my lack of tolerance. And you're a clueless dummy who couldn't navigate his way out of a wet paper bag, even when you're stone-cold sober."
Zoro gently hit them back as they laughed a little bit, and then there was a beat of awkward silence. After a moment, ____ took Zoro's cheek in their hand again and gently squeezed it. "Hey...Is it weird if I thank you?"
Zoro raised an eyebrow. "For...what?"
____ moved closer and warmly kissed the other side of Zoro's face. "For telling me that, even when it probably hurts like hell to talk about," they replied plainly. "And for carin’ about me so much that you'd get this upset when I almost hurt myself for such a dumb reason. And for just bein’ with me, I guess." They smiled and kissed Zoro's cheek again, enjoying the lingering scent or sake on both of their lips as their mouth landed a bit closer to his this time. “Now...if I go extra slow down to the cellar, can I please be the one to pick out a bottle of sake?”
“You can pick it, but I’m gonna make sure you get down there properly,” Zoro said. He rose up from his chair and hoisted ____ over his shoulder before they could react. They let out a surprised laugh as Zoro walked to the cellar entrance and carefully escorted them down the stairs with the grace and dignity of a knight--a drunk knight, carrying an equally drunk and giggly sack of potatoes over his shoulder.

🍺-My muse gets drunk (For Slime Trish)
"BWOOORRRRRP~ WHEW... You humans sure do struggle alot when you're digesting, I don't think I've had that much of a fight In a while!" Trish said slapping her transparent pink belly causing her jello like body to ripple from the impact. Floating inside the slime girls body was the remnants of an unfortunate adventurer that was a little too greedy for free experience and decided to pick on what they thought was a helpless slime. The only thing left of them was their clothes and equipment which Trish slowly pulled out of herself. She'd make a killing selling this stuff later, adventures always had the best loot. "Now let's see what they had in here." The slime girl said chuckling to herself as she climbed her way into the Adventure's wagon. Inside was a simple sleeping bag rolled up but what really caught the monsters girls eye was the two large barrels stuffed in the back. "Oh I bet there's treasure inside!" She said happily as she quickly slid her way over to the kegs and used her magic to pop them open. Much to her disappointment instead of gold she found a rather sweet smelling brown liquid inside. "Aww where's the treasure? I thought adventure's loved that stuff more than dragons? Oh well might aswell see what it is." She whined as she stuck a pudgy finger inside, her skin absorbing the liquid and pulled it inside of her. Trish let out a slight giggle as the mystery drink filled her belly making her body even sloshier than it normally was. Instantly hooked Trish squeezed her way around the barrel greedily absorbing the whole thing inside of her before spitting out the empty keg. "BOURRP~. hick... thats the stuff~." She said with her speech slurred before doing the same to the second barrel. The intake of fluid made her growth significantly in size as the now drunk slime girl happily slid along the ground having abandoned the wagon in search of more booze. "I hope..thatsh the next human I catch has more of this shtuff..." Trish said giggly as she hickuped and sent tiny slime bubbles into the air.
Across the kingdom a barkeep was getting more annoyed as with each passing week more and more of their shipments of ale kept disappearing along with their drivers unaware of the monster girl that has fallen in love with their drinks.

Forgotten Stories 3: Baby hunter and Daddy vampire (you guessed it, Mortal Instruments)
jace signed softly as he waited at the cafe. He was annoyed something fierce as the former mundane turned vampire Simon had flat out SUMMONED here to the late night dinner, saying that they NEEDED to talk. Jace, who had better things to do, and money to make was understandably vexed and as he sipped on the black crud that this greasy spoon dared to call coffee, he mumbled to himself. "Swear to god, if it's more of my blood he's after.." the shadow hunter grumbled, then set the coffee down and reached once again for the sugar, pouring more into the crud. "How the hell do you not have diabetes?" Came the amused tone of the vampire and jace just rolled his eyes. "you know,. just because you're immortal and can drink anything doesn't mean the rest of us are. i have to make this drinkable SOMEHOW." the blond shot back and then nodded to the seat across from him. "Now you wanna tell me why I'm here instead of doing better things with my time? I'm not giving you more blood..or gum wrappers." jace smirked at that as Simon narrowed his eyes, taking a seat. "ohhh wow, soo witty. I was a rat for a few hours years ago. get over it. and besides, in terms of embarrassing things.. i think you've more then topped me being turned into a rat." Simon said and gave a big smirk. "what ever you think you've found-" Jace started to say, but even as he spoke he was getting a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach and then Simon pulled out a tablet, which was already on a certain naughty boys mycam page. Jace's to be exact. "..So did i ever tell you I have a twin brother wh-" "Bull.shit.diaper boy." Simon said and then pressed play on a video.
the video came to life and there was jace, at a playground. it was late at night and he was wearing a trench coat but was smiling into the camera. "Sup my peeps? this is your boy Stinky J and thanks to a generous cash gift from daddy V, yours truly is about to go and take a epic dump in his huggies, and go and play. remember, if you got the money and have a idea, PM me and you can see my cute twink ass doing all sorts of degrading things. don't forget to like and comment." Jace said, dropping the tench coat and revealing that he was only in a paw patrol pull up under the jacket. Turning around and slapping his butt, the blond demon slayer poped a squat and audible grunting could be heard and then with a MASSIVELY loud fart and a sign of relief the the back of the pull up expanded rapidly, puffing out and discoloring as Jace coo'ed in content. "Mannn that feels better.. though whew..y'all should be thankfully you can't smell this!" the blond brat teased, waving a hand and then waddled slowly (clearly making a effort not to let his hot load spill out of the poor pull up) towards the slide. "heh, what do you think folks? time to slip sliding? ..yeah thats what i thought too~" climbing up the ladder it was hard to make out his face from the distance he was at and then the big stinky baby plopped down on his butt (a oh fuck! and gasping heard) and then the big baby was sliding down the slide and-
Grabbing the tablet Jace turned the video off and was beet red, looking down at the table. "...Ok what do you want?" Jace asked. "What i want, for starters, is for you to stop using the money I send you to get stupid pull-ups when i clearly state diapers." Simon said and smirked as Jace looked up at him in confusion, the realization. "Y-Your daddyv!" "Ding ding ding! thats right, you've been a poopie pull up baby brat for a vampire the past three months. i wonder just how much trouble you'll be in when your little clubhouse finds out not only are you a diaper pooping big baby. but a vampires bitch too~" Jace whimpered, it was going to be humiliating enough if anyone else found out about his naughty way to make extra money. add in he was doing it for vamp.. this was NOT going to be good. "L-Look..I already spent the money if you want it back an-" Jace started and Simon cut him off with a sharp laugh. "what makes you think I need your money? I've been the one spoiling you remember dip shit?" Simon snorted. Jace huffed and actually started to pout a little at that. "awww look at it this way..at least I'm not a mundane anymore. that would make what I'm gonna make you do to shut me up even more humiliating for you." Simon added cheerfully. "...should I be worried?" jace asked with a gulp. "terrified." Simon confirmed with a shit eating grin.
half a hour later and there were at a old warehouse that was boarded up on the outside but Simon flew himself and jace in though a window where.. a makeshift nursery was set up among the ruins. "...this is going to suck even more then i thought huh?" jace asked faintly. "well if nothing else, you're more then free to use this for your videos." Simon snickered and then winked. "maybe I'll even be your camera man too." "pretty sure i'ma stop doing the videos after this." jace huffed. "You say that now.." was all Simon would say on the matter, leaving jace even more worried. "now then, who's ready to be put back in a good diaper for a change, not a pull up that'll leak the second you putt too much pressure on it?" Simon asked, going over to by the changing table he had set up in the ruins and grabbing out a stupidly thick and massive diaper that instead of the normal designs one would expect on it.. had diaper fag in baby block letters all over it. "..That has to be a custom job." jace whined and pointed. "No shit Sherlock." Simon chuckled. "Clearly you are the brains of your outfit." "you don't have to be a jerk you know." jace whined, starting to tug his jeans and undies down and Simon laughed again, "really? YOU of all people giving someone hell for being rude?" Jace paused and gave a sheepish smile. "well when you put it like that.., god.. am I even gonna be able to WALK in that thing?" Jace asked, naked from the waist down and shaved bald down there. "Fuck no. but you'll be able to crawl and get on your knees, which is what i want." Simon said and smirked, showing off his fangs. "...I'm gonna be sucking your dick aren't I?" "Awww who's a clever little baby? you are!" "look i uh.. I don't know if-" "oh don't try and tell me you haven't been slurping on Alec's dick like a greedy cock slut for the past year. just about everyone knows you're his cum dumpster." "W-what!? I am not!" jace squeaked and had a full body blush going on as Simon walked over and swatted his cute cheeks, leaving the shadow hunters buns slightly red. "ah ah ah..No lying." "I-I really don't suck Alec off..he uh.." jace's voice trailed off and looking down at the ground, and poking too fingers together, he finished in a tiny voice. "I..I pay him to fuck me.." "oh? don't you think he'd do it if you asked nicely?" "I..uh.. he said he would for free but I uh..asked if i could.." jace trailed off again as Simon started to laugh. "oh my god, your a total bottom bitch! begging to pay for the privilege of getting that cock.. you know i thought you were just shitting yourself in diapers rto buy booze or whatever.. not degrading yourself in public so you can get that dick!" Simon laughed. "Does alec at least give you a cum dumpster discount?" "D-Depends on his mood...c-can i get put the diaper on and suck you off already and get this over with!?" Jace whined and huffed. "...awfully demanding for a diaper shitting butt slut aren't you? you know..i was gonna make you shit yourself before sucking me off.." "...i'm not going to like where this is heading am I?" "Normally i'd say no..but with what a fucking bottom bitch you are you'll likely be creaming your huggies." Simon said.
the alternative to Jace loading his pampers was worse then he had thought, and after getting onto the opened diaper fag diaper, he'd had to watch as Simon gave himself a mild enema. "you know your fucking disgusting right?" jace whined, on the verge of tears as Simon pulled the tub out of his ass and walked over. "right. i'm gonna listen to someone who bounces up and down in shitty diapers for money to get fucked into submission on whats normal and whats not. though don't think i didn't notice all those silver scars on your ass.. does alec just wreak your hole so much you have to heal or need diapies full time?" Simon asked, squatting over Jace's cock and balls now. "Oh my god will you just shut up and do it already so i can suck your stupid dick and get out of here!?" Jace yelled. "alll right, but you know you just ASKED me to shit on you right?" "All of my fucking hate." "love you too." Simon grunted and as jace looked, tears welling up in his eyes, a thick brown log snaked out of Simon's ass and as the tip of it touched Jace's cock, his cock started to go limp and the tears were flowing. "S-Simon please! stop! I do-" he started to sob and simon just smirked. "Shut up diaper baby. it's going in your diaper or down your throat." Simon said and jace just blubbered. the hot shit coiled around his crotch before it broke off and the smell was horrible, making jace hold his nose. "Awww whats wrong, the stinky baby can't take a REAL MAN'S funk?" Simon teased and bore down, pushing out anther thick log and shifting slightly, making sure this would coat the baby fags balls. the third and forth logs didn't go on baby jac'es cock and balls though, it went right into the diaper so it was squish all over the big babies back side and jace had to give up holding his nose as he needed to suck his thumb and close his eyes to keep from just getting up and trying to bolt. "awww, such a sad widdle diaper boy~ don't worry buddy, Daddy Simon is almost done getting your diapie nice and stinky for you, then you can have a cock baba." simon teased. jace just whimpered. finishing up with his smelly load, Simon grabbed jace's boxers and used them to wipe his ass, giving jace a look that dared him to open his mouth to complain then tossed them in a diaper pail and stepped clear of the dumb baby fag. leaning down simon made a face and waved a hand, then grinned to jace. "whew! no more tacos for me! thats rotten huh buddy?" simon teased and the dumb baby just sucked on his thumb and nodded, then whined loudly as the diaper was taped up. helping jace roll onto his tummy and then get up on his hands and knees, Simon then patted and rubbed the back of the loaded diaper, making baby Jace whimper even more but any and all fight was clearly out of the former big shot. "D-Daddy pwease..cock baba." the stupid little diaper wimp whined. "Awww you wanna show daddy how grateful you are he 's letting you see how it feels to wear real man shit huh?" Simon teased. Knowing what the sadistic vampire wanted him to say, jace whined, then nodded. "yesh daddy. pwease wet stinky jace suck your dicky to say fank ku." he whined and despite how much he hated the load in his diaper, hated simon, hated all of this., jace was getting wood. 'whats wrong with me!?'
Simon took a seat far enough away that jace's knees got a little scraped up crawling over, and the crawling he was forced to do only squished the mess around even more but then he was on his knees and looking at Simon's 6 inchs of fuck meat. it wasn't as big as Alec's (hell, Jaces was sure there were horses who weren't as hung as Alec) but the fact that he was going to suck anther mans dick while wearing his shit just had the poor bottom bitch in total sub mode and he leaned forward and planted a big sloppy kiss on the cock head as Simon moaned. Opening his mouth he took the vamp cock in slowly, worried about gagging till the whole thing was in his mouth, going down his touge and he had a nose full of musky pubes. the taste..wasn't so bad as as jace pulled his head back, trailing his touge and making Simon moan he almost, maybe kinda, found himself loving the taste. Pushing back down a little more eagerly the blond bitch started to bob his head up and down the fuck meat with eagerness and Simon reached down and ruffled jace's hair. "Fuck..fuck..good boy Jace. I knew you'd love this.. just a little fucking diaper fag.. Fuck..I'm gonna have you in diapers 24/7..just a total fucking diaper bitch for my amusement." Simon was groaning and jace in his horned up state moaned around the vamp cock. "Fucking knew you'd like that..Not gonna out you to your widdle friends but you're gonna be my little diaper bitch from now on..Mine. and you're not healing your ass next time Alec breeds you either..i want you helplessly shitting yourself while hunting demons." Simon was panting now, regretting the fact that he had edged all day to the thought of what he was going to do to jace and knew he couldn't last too much longer. "Gonna fucking dress you like a toddler and take you to the park in the day. let all the kids see you in your t-thick massive diapers..L-let them spank you.." Simon added and then noticed that jace was reaching back, mushing the mess around in his poofy diaper while worshiping his new daddies cock. "Ha! knew you'd love my shit! Get ready baby boy, time for you first of MANY loads of daddy milk!" jace pulled back and with just the cock head in his mouth, reached around jerked Simon's cock hard. he didn't know why but he felt like he NEEDED to taste full on all of the vampire boys load and wasn't disappointed as Simon's cock erupted all over his touge, filling his taste buds with the taste of real man cum. as the last few ropes of nut juice fired off, causing some to start to leak out of Jace's nose, the stupid big baby came hard in his poopie diaper and collapsed, whimpering and moaning. Simon smirked and after making sure that jace was fully out, turned his attention over to a corner of the room, where a webcam was set up. "well everyone, thanks for watching! hope you all enjoyed seeing me use this shadow slayer as a diaper bitch cum dumpster and don't forget to like the video and comment on other things you wanna see me do to him. this is daddy v signing off." he said. After all, why should Jace be the only one to make a little cash on the side?
the end..for now.

6x10: Caged Heat
Then:
Tumblr media
Meet Crowley, King of Hell
Now:
Crowley is busy torturing...himself? Nope, it’s an Alpha Shifter. He informs Crowley that when he dies, he goes to Purgatory. Crowley wants more information.
Tumblr media
Crowley’s holding a bunch of baby shifters for leverage on information about Purgatory’s location. The shifter won’t budge so Crowley chops his head off.
At night, the Winchesters arrive at a factory to drop off one rugaru to a couple of demons. Dean asks about Crowley but they’re not on the Need to Know list.
Tumblr media
Dean and Sam head back to their hide-a-way home. Dean is done dealing with demons, but Sam points out they don’t have any other plan. Dean wonders if Sam wants his soul back. Sam points out that he’s working for Crowley. Dean walks off to get some booze and when he turns to talk to Sam some more, Sam’s gone. He pulls his gun and wanders to a side room, where he finds Sam passed out on the floor. A demon comes behind Dean and knocks him out too.
Cut to the boys tied up and Meg walking into the room.
Tumblr media
She’s looking for Crowley. She holds a knife to Dean’s neck for information when Sam laughs (much to Dean’s stress) and realizes that she can’t kill them. She’s running from Crowley. Sam tells her that they’ll work with her to find Crowley but they want the first stab at him before she finishes him off.
Once free, Dean is angry and asks Sam what the heck he’s doing making a deal with the demon that killed Ellen and Jo. Sam says they need her. Ah, soulless Sam is always the pragmatist. Sam assures Dean that they will kill Meg and her minions the first chance they get-- they’re bringing insurance.
Later, Sam is outside, praying to Castiel. Cas doesn’t appear. He then starts describing the plot to Raiders. That Biblical artifact thirsty boy is there in a heartbeat. Sam wants Cas’s help but Cas is in the middle of things upstairs. Sam threatens to kill Cas if he doesn’t help them.
Ahem, let’s all pause at Cas’s retort and bask in the pure BAMF energy.
“Will you...boy?”
Whew.
Anywho.
Sam does get Cas to come back to their place.
Tumblr media
Dean is surprised (ok, but like dude, if you really wanted him to show, why didn’t you pray? We’ve already seen him show when you pray to him. You don’t have a profound bond for nothing.)
Cas performs a locating spell, but it doesn’t work. They head to the Campbell bunker of knowledge and Samuel finds them. Dean demands to know where Crowley is. Samuel isn’t talking. Dean then asks Cas to leave (which kinda blows my season 15 brain ---they have so much more to go through to be a real family.) Dean asks Samuel what Crowley has on him. He pulls out a picture of Mary and tells them that Crowley is going to bring her back if he helps him. Dean tells him that it’s a path he doesn’t want to go down --this is how the bad guy gets them every time….AGGHh, Chuck!!! Dean also uses the word Achilles heal again (ahem.) Also, they will find another way. Samuel kicks them out.
Later, the brothers are busy working on research while Cas indulges in his favorite pastime: watching porn TV.
Tumblr media
He’s very confused. Dude’s been watching humanity for eons but he’s clueless AF. Dean is appalled that he’s watching porn without him in front of them.
Samuel arrives and is disturbed by their group activities. He has the location where they drop the monsters they’ve been collecting. The monsters never leave.
Team Free Will meet up with Meg and her gang.
Tumblr media
Meg hopelessly flirts with Cas. Then they get down to the business of tracking Crowley. Sam demands her knife and then proceeds to kill one of her demon buddies. He was justified though and they all know it.
Sam loads up on weaponry, while Dean spends some quality time (awkward silences) with Cas. Cas is glum. He expresses doubt about their plan to get Sam’s soul back. Cas describes the likely situation in the cage: Lucifer and Michael have been using Sam’s soul as a toy.
Tumblr media
Cas projects a future of madness and trauma on an ensouled Sam. Dean chooses to glibly ignore this because he has utter faith that with Cas’s help, they can do anything. (Crying noise) In the shadows, Sam overhears everything.
Outside Crowley’s compound, the team starts their assault. The side door is unlocked, making it laughably easy to get in. The Winchesters smell a trap! The interior is lined with cells, many of them occupied by monsters - dead or alive. A djinn from an earlier episode pleads for help. Crowley’s got some kinda reach, alright!
In the distant hallways, a hellhound snarls. The camera zooms in on poor, traumatized Dean.
Tumblr media
Everybody runs for it, and a demon falls to the hound. Meg is 100% done with the high death rate of demons in the Winchesters’ company and tries to smoke out. She opens her mouth to no avail - Crowley’s warded the place in such a way that it keeps demons firmly attached to their meatsuits. She’s in this for the (hopefully) long haul. Sam hands her Ruby’s knife so she can kill hellhounds, but Meg turns it down. The Winchesters will need that to kill Crowley. She’s got another plan.
But first, uh, she has ANOTHER another plan?
Tumblr media
Meg kisses Cas, her hands sliding under his trench coat in a way that we have definitely not ever pictured doing in any way. Nope.
He spins her around and pins Meg to the wall in a way that we have definitely not ever pictured Cas doing in any way. Nope.
Tumblr media
“I learned it from the pizza man,” Cas tells a stunned Meg.
Tumblr media
Meg shakes it off and hoists Cas’s blade, purloined from his coat. (What did she do, snake her arm down his sleeve? Lol) She’ll fight off the hounds with that instead. She slashes at the hound while the others move on.
A bright light flashes suddenly, and Cas disappears just as Samuel pulls his hand away from an angel banishing sigil. Samuel, you giant bag of dicks! He betrayed the Winchesters to resurrect Mary. Crowley and his demons swan in and gain control of Sam and Dean.
The Winchesters are tossed into cells. Meg, injured but victorious after her fight with the hounds, gets attacked by a demon possessing Christian Campbell.
Tumblr media
Samuel stops by Dean’s cell to explain himself, and Dean bitterly reprimands him for his betrayal. Samuel insists that Mary’s his blood, and Dean and Sam aren’t close enough to count. “What exactly are you supposed to be to me?” Samuel asks, further cementing my hatred of his character.
Dean looks up and his MASK OF REVENGE is clearly pulled over his face. “I’ll tell you who I am. I’m the guy you never wanna see again.” CHILLS. He promises revenge on Samuel.
Samuel walks away from his little confessional moment, and two demons arrive to drag Dean away.
Meg, meanwhile, has been stripped of her clothing for sOMe ReaSoN. The only things covering her up are the warded bands pinning her to a torture table. I. Just. Why? Why, show? (Excuse me while I glare directly at Robert Singer from across many, many miles.) To Meg’s credit, she looks like she’s ready to do some cool murder (I’ll help). Demon!Christian starts to torture her.
Tumblr media
Sam chews a hole in his own arm while he waits in his cell, which is not disturbing AT ALL. DAMN, soulless Sam! Dean arrives in Crowley’s interrogation room, and it’s full of bloody bays and intestines. SO unsanitary. The demons chuck two monsters in with him. It’s to be a cage match, I see!
When demons arrive to grab Sam, they find that they’re trapped in his cell. Sam grins with a bloody mouth at the demon trap he scrawled on the ceiling with his own blood. I mean…GROSS but mad props all the same.
Meg continues to get tortured when Dean creeps up and kills Demon!Christian. He frees Meg and they start operation, GET CROWLEY. Sam and Dean lure Crowley in with a fire alarm and trap him in a demon trap. (This one’s spray painted, thank goodness.)
Tumblr media
Sam demands his soul back from Crowley, but ye olde King of Hell refuses. He can’t get into the cage to rescue Sam’s soul. Crowley questions WHY Sam would want his soul back, after all his soft marshmallowy center is surely enduring in the pit. Dean hands Ruby’s knife to Meg and she heads into the demon trap to kill Crowley.
Crowley proves why he’s the reigning King (or at least how he’s stayed alive for so long) by tackling Meg and flinging the demon knife up into the ceiling to split apart the devil’s trap. Things are looking bad for our heroes when Cas flaps in. “Castiel,” Crowley smiles. “Haven’t seen you all season.” Cas presents a bag of bones and informs the room that he’s found Crowley’s skeleton.
Crowley bows to the threat and lets the Winchesters go. When he admits that he really, really can’t save Sam’s soul, Cas burns the bones. It’s…DRAMATIC.
Tumblr media
Outside, Cas confesses that the battle in Heaven is going poorly but that there’s nothing the Winchesters can do to help.
Tumblr media
“I wish circumstances were different. Much of the time I would rather be here,” Cas confesses. CAS! Dean forgives him and Sam gives Cas one more mission before he flaps off to Heaven: destroy the monsters locked up in Crowley’s prison. Cas flaps off (and into my spin-off show, SAD ANGEL ASSASSIN). Dean promises Sam that they’ll figure out another way to get his soul, but Sam argues against any plans at restoration. He’d rather be functioning and soulless, thank you very much. Sam walks away, leaving Dean shouting fruitlessly after him.
I Learned it from the Quote-za Man:
Remember when we used to gank demons?
Okay, officially over the foreplay. Satisfy me, or I please myself
Hugs and puppies all around
I can’t believe you fell for that. That was the plot of Raiders, idiot
If the pizza man truly loves this babysitter, why does he keep slapping her rear?
This what you boys do, sit around watching pornos with angels?
I learned that from the pizza man
I’ll tell you who I am. I’m the guy you never wanna see again

lady friends?
inuyasha pride month 2020 ::
day 2 - lesbian + day 10 - kagome
thinkin of kagome and sango together makes my heart flutter. please accept this one shot I wrote for pride month ヽ(^◇^*)/
inspired by dailyau prompt:
I thought I just didn’t like relationships but turns out I’m actually super gay AU
for reference! kagome inspo. sango inspo.
{kagsan. modern college au. 3,050 words. ff.net / ao3.}
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I hate college.
The classes are dragging, professors don’t care about study guides or reviews (do they want me to fail?), and, to top it all off, I’m alone.
Not that I can’t be by myself, but there’s friend groups here, friend groups there, a couple right next to me, and all of them look at me like, “Poor freshman, why doesn’t she have anybody?”
Well, everybody, I do have people! There’s Ayumi, Eri, and Yuka … but, I chose a different college than them…
Yeah, they all stuck together… B-But we still talk every day in our “Gal Pals 💕” group chat. Well, they do understand each other more than I do… since I’m out here by myself… but it’s fine.
I’m fine.
“Ms. Higurashi!” I snapped out of my thoughts, releasing my pen from my bite. Uh oh, did he notice I wasn’t paying attention?
“Y-Yes professor?”
The man crossed his arms as he gripped the smartboard marker, “Since it looks like you’re thinking so hard-” I really wasn’t “-can you name me some baroque-style paintings?”
“Of course,” I had to act confident. “Well, there’s the one painted by…” Shit, did we even learn a baroque painter? “Uh…”
Riiiinnnnggg!
“Hmm, saved by the bell,” he said.
Thank God.
I rushed to close my pink laptop and carelessly dropped it into my yellow bookbag. I refused to give my professor a chance to pull me aside after class because (1) I know I’m not a bad student (so please don’t talk to me like I’m one) and (2) I may have a heart attack if he tries to say otherwise.
As I got up, something knocked me in the head.
“?????” is basically what I said to myself as I bent down to pick up the crumbled piece of paper. “Are we in middle school?” I rolled my eyes and straightened it out.
PARTY AT INUYASHA’S DORM-
“Oi!” a guy shouted as he and another ran up beside me. “S-Sorry, that wasn’t…. Uh…. meant for you.”
Of course it wasn’t.
“No worries,” I smiled, handing back the middle-school note. Honestly, me? Party? Yeah right.
“Say, this invitation doesn’t have to go to waste,” said the guy from behind. His short ponytail, bangs, and gold earrings distracted me for a second. “Hmm…,” he looked at me from head to toe. “Well, you’re just as pretty as the girl we were trying to give it to,” he gave me a smirk that made me uncomfortable. “See you there,” he threw his arm around me and squeezed me.
Should I elbow or kick him?
Well, he’s gone already. Perv.
Finally getting out of that classroom, I minded my business walking through the crowded hallway. I guess let me take another look at this oh-so wonderful invitation:
PARTY AT INUYASHA’S DORM
10 P.M., BRONISLAW HALL
PLEASE BRING LADY FRIENDS 😉
Yeah, I was right. He’s probably a perv.
The next day…
“How is it already 7 p.m.?” I rubbed my eyes, waking up from a long-needed nap.
Those two tests today really killed me, I guess. I’m just not cut out for history nor business marketing.
I sat up from my bed and looked at the empty other side of the room. My roommate never moved in. I don’t know if I should be happy or feel even more lonely??
“Ah well,” I shrugged.
I could see the sharpie-written note “PARTY AT INUYASHA’S” on my cluttered desk. “PLEASE BRING LADY FRIENDS” was ringing in my ear for whatever reason.
“Should I even go?” I asked myself. Well, when in doubt, turn to the Girls.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Ah, the smell of booze and desperate boys. So this is college life.
Inuyasha’s place was a four-man dorm. There had to be like 40 to 50 people here already, and I’ve never seen any of them before. Yay, Kagome.
The music was pounding and all I could see were guys on girls, girls on guys, and, the occasional, girl on girl action. I shoved my way through the sea of people, eventually getting some breathable room near the small table in the corner that had Hennessy, Tequila, and Bacardi Rum.
Well, if I’m choosing my poison, tequila and sprite it is.
“Keh, Tequila and sprite?” I turned around because who the hell was talking to me? “I like your taste.”
His fluff white, silver hair was one of the few things that stood out in the near-complete darkness. He sipped his (henny and coke?) drink and leaned on the table, eying me up and down. Is that all boys do?
"I’m Inuyasha,” he smirked, taking another sip and fixing his backwards red dad hat. “If you didn’t know that already.”
Why did I decide to come again?
“Thanks for the housewarming,” I mouthed sarcastically. “But the bathroom is calling my name so-” I nodded my head to the side and shuffled to anywhere but there. But before I could even move --
“Oi, you don’t wanna talk a bit? Get to know each other?” he put his hand on my wrist. Why do they keep thinking they can touch me?!
I ripped out of his light hold, “Sorry, not interested.”
“W-Why you--”
“Inuyasha!” great, reinforcements. “There you are, have you seen all these ladies?! I’m so h-” oh even better, it’s the Perv No. 1. “Ah! You came,” he nudged Perv No. 2. “I knew you wanted to see me again.”
“As if,” I rolled my eyes. “Now, unless you want me to urinate on your floor,” I raised my glass and gave a sarcastic smile. Jeez, I really wasn’t wrong about the desperate boys.
The two bozos stepped in my way again as if I wasn’t cornered already (think: lap dances to my right; twerking to my left; beer pong behind me). And this is why I prefer my books and Netflix.
“If you think I find this flattering,” I raised my brow, sipping my drink. “I don’t.”
“Feisty,” Inuyasha nodded his head and Perv No. 1 did that weird smile again.
Should I kick them? I should kick them.
Before I could Inuyasha began to lean in, “Yeah alright, woman, suuure you will.”
“LEAVE MY GIRLFRIEND ALONE, YOU DICKS”
Eh?
“Ah, shit, Sango,” Inuyasha awkwardly scratched his neck. “You got a girlfriend already? Jeez woman.”
Perv No. 1’s mouth practically dropped to the floor, “W-What??? This goddess has a girlfriend??” he hung his head in disappointment. God bless this “Sango” chick. “Inuyasha, why didn’t you tell me?? SHE was the one I was trying to invite but then--” he eyed me in disappoint “--well we got her.”
“Excuse me?” Men.
“I got it, sweetie,” she winked and rubbed my cheek. God, why is my heart pounding? “I see either of you talk to her again and I’m ripping lil’ tweedledee and tweedledum off of you, ‘kay?”
She held my hand. Is my palm sweaty? A-Am I doing this right??
Inuyasha rolled his eyes, snatched his drink, and dragged Perv No. 1 away, whose mouth was still on the ground, “Whatever. C’mon, Miroku, the night ain’t over yet.”
“T-Thanks for saving me,” wow, she’s kinda cute.
She smiled and squeezed my hand. I didn’t mind this at all… but why is that?
“Of course, us girls gotta look out for each other, right?”
I felt myself get warm, and frankly I wasn’t sure if it was the tequila or because I was blushing. For the first time ever, I didn’t know what to say. Like, I was afraid of saying something weird and creeping her out… why is that?
“I hate guys,” she tightened her thick ponytail. “They think they’re so big and tough.”
“R-Right?!” we both laughed, and I could feel myself getting giggly. Was it the alcohol? Yeah, Kagome, of course it is.
She made herself a drink: rum and coke. She took a sip and I found myself staring at her, jeez I have to say something before I creep her out--
“So, where’s your friends?”
I snapped out of my thoughts, “Oh, they couldn’t make it… Kinda chose to come here last minute.”
She shifted her weight onto one leg, whew I really like her outfit. “Came to a back-to-school college party by yourself?” she nodded in approval. “I was wrong, you do have guts,” she sipped her drink, her lip gloss staining the red cup. “I like that.”
Uh oh, there goes my heart again. Think, Kagome, say something, be cute. Be cute. “I’m Kagome by the way.” Really, that’s it?
“Sango,” she held out her cup and I met it with mine. We both laughed again.
When our giggles died down it looked like a light bulb turned on inside her head. “Let’s go have fun!” she threw down her drink and interlocked her hand with one of mine.
?!?!??!?!??!!?! is what I yelled in my head and, sweet Jesus, there goes my heart. I shouldn’t have watched The Notebook earlier.
Sango dragged me and I couldn’t stop the fuzzy feeling. We were inside of the makeshift dance floor -- how can anyone enjoy this body heat?! -- and she just started going.
“La Romana” by Bad Bunny made the house speakers -- and just about everyone, including Sango -- jump. Her body was moving to the beats as she shouted the lyrics into the air.
I was trying to let my body loose like her, but sheesh I couldn’t keep up!
🎶 PASAME LA HOOKAH, EH! 🎶
She chugged the rest of her drink and so did I. I think I need more liquid confidence.
Four drinks later…
“Are you having fun?!” Sango yelled in my ear, laying her hand on my back, trying to bring me closer. I may be a bit drunk at this point, but I know I can feel my heart pounding again.
“Yes!!” I giggled into her ear, moving my hips to the fast beat. I don’t even know what song is playing, but my body is going with it.
🎶 IF THEM BITCHES ‘ROUND YOU, BETTER BE BLOOOD
IF AIN’T ME OR YOUR MAMA, SHOULDN’T BE SHOWIN’ YOU LOVEE
PLEASE FORGIVE ME, I KNOOOW THAT I’M STINGY 🎶
“IS THIS?!-” my eyes widened in excitement, the song still in the background.
“SUMMER WALKER?!” Sango pushed her face near mine. If I wasn’t so excited about the song I’d probably be fainting right now.
“AND JHENE AIKO??” we exclaimed in unison.
We both immediately closed our eyes and put our hands to our chests, literally singing our hearts out to “I’ll Kill You,” aka my favorite song.
For the first time at the party, I felt like myself. My hopeless-romantic-who-couldn’t-sing-but-adores-r&b self. I don’t know if it’s the fifth cup of tequila and sprite, the Goddess Summer Walker, or Sango looking so dang attractive that’s making me feel bubbly, but I just… let loose.
🗣I BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR A LOOOOVE LIKE THIS
I BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR A LOOOOOVE LIKE THIS
“Ka-go-me!” Sango shouted as she smiled at me, nodding her head in approval.
I want to serenade her… Yes, Kagome, let’s serenade her.
🗣FUCK THAT MY BABY YOU ALLL MINE
GREATEST OF ALL TIME
YOU BETTER TELL THEM HOES, “FALL IN LINE”
I DO NOT PLAY ABOUT MINE
My voice is as angelic as Jhene right now. My arms -- with my near-empty sixth drink -- are wrapped around Sango’s neck and she’s smiling so big; I don’t know how my arms ended up here, but I… don’t want to let go.
I should keep going. Yes, keep going.
🎶I WANT YOU FOR LIIIFFFEEEE
DOOONTT, HAVE ME LOOKIN’ FOOLISH
DOOOONTT, HAVE ME FEELIN’ STUPID
Sango ran her fingers through my hair and just kept on giggling. “Okay, Ms. Jhene, let’s get out of here.”
“W-What?!” I let go of my grip. “W-Why are we l-leaving?” my words felt like it wasn’t coming fast enough out of my mouth. “T-The party j-justed start-ted!” I went for a last sip but she grabbed it so fast from my hand.
“H-Hey!” I tried to snatch it back but she was too damn fast. She’s lucky she’s cute.
Sango put down the cup on the corner table. She moved a piece of hair out of my face, “You’re suuuuuper drunk.” She laughed at me, making me even more flustered.
“I-I am n-not!”
“Do you realize how slurred your words are right now?” They are not. “Come on,” she lightly grabbed my hand. “Time for bed, princess.”
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I don’t know how I ended up back in my dorm room, but I did. And I don’t remember even falling asleep, but I did.
I slowly opened my eyes and just felt the room spinning. Jeez, I’m such a lightweight.
I held my head as I rose up; it was still dark outside and my wall lights were still shining a bright pink. Water… I need water.
“Woah, woah!” Sango said as she rushed to the ride of my bed with a glass of water. She has to be heaven-sent.
“Wow, it’s like you read my mind,” I laughed, taking the cup from her hand. “Thank you.”
She smiled as she pulled out my desk chair beside the bed, “Of course.” But then she looked at me and started laughing.
“What’s so funny?!” I nervously asked. What did I do? I hope I wasn’t too drunk because then I start… singing…
“You don’t remember what happened an hour ago?” I looked at her blankly. “At Inuyasha’s?”
“Ehhh,” I put my finger to my chin, thinking rather hard. “You saved me from the two Pervs, didn’t you?”
She giggled with her eyes closed, revealing her pink eyeshadow. I love that.
“Let me refresh your memory,” I don’t like where this was going.
🗣FUCK THAT MY BABY YOU ALLL MINE
GREATEST OF ALL TIME
YOU BETTER TELL THEM HOES, “FALL IN LINE”
I DO NOT PLAY ABOUT MINE
“No…”
“Yes.”
“...N-No…”
“Yes!” she chuckled, holding her stomach while I covered my face.
“I-I’m soooo sorry!” Jesus, she definitely thinks I’m weird now. “When I’m drunk I think I sound like Jhene Aiko… she’s just too powerful...”
“Yeah, I see that,” she pretended to wipe tears from her eyes. “But oh please, don’t apologize. It was so cute.”
“C-Cute?!” I accidentally yelled out loud. I immediately covered my mouth.
“Yeah, you’re so adorable,” Sango smiled. “When I saw you at the party today, I knew I wanted to talk to you. So I just went up to you and then I saw douchebag Inuyasha and his little henchman… It was only natural for me to chase them away,” she shrugged.
She knows she got it. I like that.
“Thank God you stepped in. I was really about to kick those guys in the hoohas.”
“The hoohas?” She just kept on laughing. I loved seeing her smile, whew. “You’re so cute.”
We both continued giggling because, let’s face it, I have no idea what I’m doing, saying, or hell, what I’m feeling.
“So, no friends with you tonight,” I shook my head. “How about your boyfriend?”
I shyly smiled, “Nope, don’t have one of those either… Never did.”
“Really?” Sango’s eyebrow propped upwards. “Same here.”
“What? No way!” I tried calling her out.
Sango giggled, “How can I when girls like you are so pretty?” Oh God, did my heart just stop working? “Ah, wait, that was weird,” she scratched her neck, chuckling nervously. “Now I feel like a Perv like Inuyasha and Miroku.”
“No,” I protested. “Not at all.”
Sango looked like she felt she crossed a line. She really didn’t. In fact, she helped me realize something.
“It looks like you’re sobering up now,” she smirked. “I’ll get out of your hair. Thanks for partying with me tonight,” she blew me a flirty-but-i’m-trying-to-not-be-an-obvious-flirt kiss as she got up.
“Wait!” I didn’t want her to go. “Can you actually… stay with me? I’m here by myself, and I really like being with you.”
Sango looked at me relieved, “Of course.”
I moved more towards the wall to motion her to lay next to me. She kept looking at me and I knew my cheeks were already red, so I tried to look away. Her weight slightly pressed the bed down, but we fit. Perfectly.
I began to think back to my past “relationships” with Hojo, Koga, and Bankotsu. None of them ever worked out for me because I hated it. I hated relationships. I hate cuddling, the affection, the over-protection. But now I know, it was because I wasn’t with the right person.
“Sango?” I turned my body towards her.
“Yes, princess?” she smiled sarcastically.
I giggled, I couldn’t let this opportunity fly by me. I’m going to go for it.
I leaned in 100% for the kiss. Her lips were so soft that I realized her lip gloss was already all gone. I felt her kiss me back and honestly? fireworks. I never felt like this before.
She smiled mid-smooch, “So you do have guts.”

The Library Is Open- a drag queen AU
This is a little present for my boo @ladycakepops, with whom i have discussed 100000 Drag Race headcannons!! Luv u m8.
000
“Girl, you know she’s been using that same wig all week, yo, there’s flies comin’ outta that shit it’s so stanky.” “Oh no, here she comes, Miss Thing, lookin’ like she think she about to slay the runway but she left her fashion sense at home next to her ratchet-ass 100 Yen fake-lash kit. Oh no, sweetie.”
“And- oh, ladies and gentlemen boys and girls, you know the house gonna come down when Miss Kamui Woods strut on stage acting like she own the damn place, bitch looks like Groot, motherfucker.”
Club Hero erupts into joyous applause and roof raising laughter. It may be dark, the audiences’ faces obscured by the low lights, but Hizashi knows that they’re all smiling. Present Mic knows how to work a crowd. He can always count on his drag persona to keep the customers coming back with her witty one liners.
“And here she is- it’s Best Jeanist, girl, you know what I’m boutta say. Denim? Again? Where’s the variety? That doesn’t mean she don’t look good, though- whew, that waist is cinched to the gods henny. You’d. Betta. Work.”
At this point their careers, all the queens know that Mic will roast them till the cows come home. None of them take it personally. Any more, at least. At first, the obnoxious delivery didn’t exactly make Present Mic a very popular queen. But it didn’t take long for them to see the kind heart and smarts behind the overbearing facade.
They’re family, now.
“Here she is, Miss Tiger is here, hide your boyfriends, people, she comin’ for yo man- oh, nah, rewind, too late, she already run into him in the gym and snatched him at the weights section. Damn, you seen those muscles on that queen? Girl, she could lift me and through me out the window, I swear to Gawd.”
The laughter ripples through the place, a backdrop to the music that makes the floor vibrate a little, the queens strutting to the beat on stage in their runway looks. Mic sits backstage, watching with her microphone and peering at them over her sunglasses like she’s judging horses at the Kentucky races.
It all started out with presenting. That is how Present Mic found her drag name, after all. One night, Hizashi had come to visit Nemuri at Club Hero, having no clue how much it took to run a place like this. And, having never stepped foot in drag. He’d watched the runway behind stage with Nemuri, found a running commentary pouring out as the queens worked. The team backstage had loved it, and so had Nemuri. And Hizashi had been addicted to their attention, their laughter and encouragement to keep going. It lit a fire in him and gave him a purpose- entertaining. The last thing he’d expected was to find such a thing through drag.
“Mm Miss Shigaraki walkin’ on stage with that weird, spooky drag I know y’all love but come on, girl, I said it last week and I’ll say it again, put on some mothafuckin’ chapstick, yo.”
The audience screams at the burn. Mic grins.
“Mic.” He looks up from his seat to see Nemuri watching with a proud smile. She loves this place just as much as the rest of them. At the end of the day, if they really were to become a family, it’d be her family. House of Kayama.
“What’s up.” “They’re really rowdy tonight.” “You know I always give them what they want.”
The two of them watch as the queens step into formation for a dance routine. So very much not Mic’s thing. She has two left feet and could probably take someone’s eye out with her hair, styled the way it is.
Mic’s gaze drifts to the audience. And although it’s usually impossible to their expressions, there’s a small group of salary-men at the front, in the light of the stage, that draws Mic’s attention.
There’s a big guy. A big guy with red hair and a grizzly face, looks like he’d give Tiger or Vlad a run for their money. A mean looking fucker with a mean looking smile to match. The guy next to him, who looks, impossibly, even bigger, but more the gentle giant type- blonde and dopey and excited to be there. And then there’s the third guy. The third guy who’s shorter and less stocky but still broad shouldered. His tie is undone and his hair is slicked back, there’s stubble across his chin and a wicked looking scar on his cheek that makes Mic a little hot under the collar.
What troubles her most isn’t the big mean guy’s sneer as he laughs at the queens on stage- superior and mocking and all the things Mic hates. No, the thing that distresses her most is the look of utter indifference on the third guy’s face.
Bored? Here? Present Mic doesn’t settle for bored.
“Those assholes at the front,” Nemuri mutters, hands on her hips and a deathly look in her eyes.
Mic stares at them. The mean guy is shouting something, probably nothing worth getting kicked out over, but it’s getting the queens riled up. Nothing abnormal in a place like this- plenty come in just to laugh at them. But what they don’t know is that this place is protected. This is Club Hero. Every queen in here has her power, her own little quirk.
Mic’s about to show this dickhead her quirk.
“Don’t you worry, baby,” Mic assures with a grin and wild, wide eyes that she knows freaks people out. She lays a gentle hand on Nemuri’s arm. “I’mma get him, yo. I’mma get him.”
When Mic stands, leather creaks. Diamante studs shine from the disco ball above her head and her heels take her to six foot seven. With the hair- almost seven foot tall. And as she walks towards the stage, thigh-high boots squeaking and leather mini-dress riding up just the right amount, Mic feels as if she could take over the world.
It’s the confidence she needs to do this job. And do what comes next.
The place smells like hot stage lights and booze. The backstage crew sense her approaching quickly- a seven foot tall, leather and diamante clad drag queen is hard to miss. They all step aside and let Mic pass, business-like but hiding smiles, knowing what’s about to go down. Mic passes through, deadly and determined.
One of the crew speaks into the microphone. “Settle down ladies- the cockatoo is flying to the stage now.” As code names go, Mic supposes it’s pretty accurate. The wig is kind of bird like.
The sound of her heels click-clocking against the floor gives her the momentum she needs to step into the stage lighting and take a stand besides her sisters. They turn to measure Mic’s arrival, expressions mixed- some relieved, some just outright pissed at the fact that their dance routine has stopped. The red haired guy is drunk, it’s obvious- he’s shouting some bullshit that isn’t all that offensive, but it’s annoying. The blonde guy is trying to shut him up, looking just as angry as the queens. And the third guy- he looks downright threatening. The look of disgust and disdain that he’s throwing at the red haired guy is impressive. That’s some shade right there. And he’s saying something that the dude can’t hear, but Mic can guess is biting.
The queens hang around on stage, deflated- they’ve stopped the dance routine in anticipation, and look at Mic. The audience have noticed Mic appear, too, and applause and encouragement seeps through the sewage of heckling from red-haired guy.
“Read him, Mic!” “Slaaayyyy!”
“Yas, come through!”
Gunhead is the first to walk up to her, removing her mask to look her in the eye. “You’d better get out there fast. You know our security team won’t throw him out yet.” “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”
“You always do,” she smiles. So gentle despite that badass drag she’s got going.
The queens flow off stage. Jeanist stops her for a moment with a hand on her arm. She looks like she can barely breath in that corset. Why it gotta be denim, though? Mic thinks. “Don’t go too hard, Mic. I think this one could blow up in your face. This is one angry bastard.”
The grin that spreads across Mic’s face is evil. Jeanist doesn’t recoil from the expression- she’s used to it by now.
“I’mma have to try not to pop off too hard. Hold onto your wig, girl, I’m comin’ for him.” Jeanist rolls her eyes and huffs a laugh, before removing her hand and walking off stage.
Mic turns to the microphone that’s been quickly set up in the middle of the stage for her. She slowly steps towards it, painfully slowly with a cruel smirk, teasing the audience who know that she’s about to read this motherfucker so hard he’ll run out crying. The heeled boots click against the floor. And Mic is no pageant queen, or a pretty queen- especially not with the highly controversial moustache that she refuses to shave off- but she’s got legs for days. People whoop throughout the room as she stalks to the end of the runway.
She slowly wraps each individual finger, nails painted black, around the neck of the microphone. It’s particularly suggestive and earns a few more whoops.
The three salary-men are sat directly below her. The red haired one tch-ing like he doesn’t know what’s coming. The blonde one equally oblivious. And the third one- the third one is staring up at her, entirely transfixed. Looking like he’s already impressed, and Mic hasn’t even opened her mouth, yet.
Ooh. She likes this one.
“Yo yo yo, how’s everyone doin’ tonight, peeps?”
The crowd explodes with cheers and werks and slays and yas queens. Mic removes the microphone from the stand and twirls the cable around her index finger as she effortlessly steps across the stage in seven inch heels. Looks into the dark of the crowd through red tinted sunglasses.
“There are some ugly motherfuckers in here tonoit.” There’s sporadic of applause and laughter. No one is safe from roasting when Mic’s on stage. “You know I don’t like coming out here.” Some aaws, some boos. “Ok, I’m lying, I love it, I love reading y’all to filth.” Laughter. “I just know that whenever I come out on stage like this, it’s because some asshole is getting in the way of my sisters’ show, and you that ain’t cool, yo.” Some people clap. “Nah. That’ ain’t cool. We show respect in Club Hero, am I right or am I right?”
A chorus of whoops and cheers and yaaassssses. She feels all eyes on her, and whilst she feels more confident commentating backstage- she’s always half-joked that she’s got a face for radio, not TV- she knows that she owns the room right now. She just has to remind herself of that when the nerves kick in.
Her eyes fall on that handsome stranger again. He doesn’t look bored anymore.
“I need some help now, people, I need some help.” She walks up and down the stage, dragging the microphone cable with her as she paces. “Now I just- I just don’t know what to do this weekend, you feel? I need recommendations. I got a whole-ass day free tomorrow and I wanna do something nice, do something special, and I thought about getting out of the city for a bit, but I’m not about hiking in the mountains or some shit- I know some people have arbor ardor but I'm more of a city kitty ya dig? Nah, I wanna do something relaxing. Something super chill. Maybe I’ll go see a movie. Or. You know. Maybe I’ll take out a book from the library.” The crowd bursts into cheers. Mic grins, looking down at the table of highly confused straight boys. That red haired bastard is talking loud, angry nonsense to the big blonde guy, who’s glaring at him. Redhead isn’t paying any attention at all.
“Now, for those of you who need educating on drag lingo- when the library is open, and it’ll open real soon-” More whooping. “- it means that I’m gonna pick one person in this room and roast them so hard the smell of them burning makes everyone hungry, you feel me?”
Redhead continues to have a one way argument with the blonde guy, who’s now noticed Mic watching them. One hand on her hip and one hand on the microphone. Waiting.
“This bitch. This bitch doesn’t even know what’s coming, he ain’t even noticed that I’m staring at him yet, the disrespect, you know what I’m saying?”
Handsome stranger battles against a smirk, peers over at the two other salarymen. Blonde guy nudges red haired guy. And he finally notices Mic. He looks her up and down with a disdainful frown. Mic just stands there, seven foot tall and plastering on her most terrifying, shit-eating grin.
“What’s your name, sweetie.”
Some people applaud in excitement, the rest of the room hushes in anticipation. Red haired guy just stares at her, frowning and apparently unable to believe that he’s being addressed like this. Blonde guy is covering his mouth- he’s shaking with laughter.
“Sorry I- I couldn’t hear you, what’s that?” Mic stoops forward with a hand on his ear to listen to nothing. Red haired guy won’t open his mouth. “Right, right, right. I see what this is, you got some pride to withhold, haven’t you. I get it. He likes being centre of attention only until someone calls him out, huh.”
“His name’s Todoroki.”
Mic looks down at the dark handsome stranger who’s shouted out this name. He’s looking smug, not deigning to give his colleague any eye contact as he warns him to keep your mouth shut.
Mic steps to the edge of the stage and sits down, legs hanging off the edge and continuing to twirl the microphone cable flirtatiously.
Those dark eyes fixed on her. It almost makes her shiver. “And what’s your name, sugar?”
A grin. A grin, just as terrifying as Mic’s. “Aizawa.”
“Aizawa?” She says the name with a responding smile and blonde guy nudges Aizawa conspiratorially. “Aizawa, I think you and me gonna be friends. Can you help me read this son of a bitch right now?” He nods. Mic barks a laugh, loud and abrasive just like the rest of her. “Oh he don’t even care, he’s betraying his friend just like that-”
“He’s not my friend. He’s my boss.”
“Oh my- holy shit, yo, my boy’s shameless. You got more balls than I do, honey, that’s for sure. Shit, I like this one.”
People are calling out suggestive noises and laughing, and Mic has to admit she wasn’t expecting it to go this way. Flirting with audience members is fairly normal, but this is the first time that it’s been so reciprocated. This Aizawa man could snatch all of her attention if she isn’t too careful.
She looks out into the crowd and spots red haired dude, Todoroki, sneering with his chin jutting out.
Mic turns towards him, shuffling in her seat. “Oh shit, sorry girl, I totally forgot about you.” That sneer only increases. Ah, there it is- she could tell from the start. It’s always so, so easy to tell when a guy thinks he’s the most important and deserves all the attention.
This guy’s problem is ego, and egos are easy to deflate.
“I was just flirting with this nice man over here,” Mic continues. “What’s your name again? Todoroki, wasn’t it? Yo, you should move seats. For real, you shouldn’t be sitting next to your friend Captain America, he makes you look like his smaller, bitchier, less impressive version of him, you know what I’m saying?” That earns some cackles and cheers. Captain America’s eyes widen in shock and he continues to hide his face. Aizawa purses his lips against a smile. Eyes still fixed on Mic.
Todoroki goes rigid in his seat, squares his jaw, tenses his shoulders and clenches his fists on the table, beside the empty glasses.
“The library is officially open, people. Oh, shit, I knew that would piss you off- you’re a big man. Big important man who likes to be in charge and wants to be the best. Yeah, I’ve seen you before.” Mic pauses. “Bet you got a small dick.”
It’s not clever comment, but it’s an effective one, one that always gets laughs, and one that always, always works with a man like this- who looks the other way, fist clenching so hard his arm muscles are twitching.
“He about to hulk out, I can tell.” And Mic’s playing a dangerous game, but she knows what she’s doing. She slips off the stage, the spotlight following her as she steps towards the table. There’s a round of oooos as she makes her way with flamboyant purpose towards Todoroki. She pauses in front of him, looming above him, merely staring him down. It’s a testament to his pride that he plays that game, stare locked on her with his chin jutting out.
And then, Mic perches on Todoroki’s knee, legs draped over him and an arm around his shoulder. The audience scream in delight.
“I’ve got some nerve, don’t I?” Mic smirks. Todoroki looks both horrified and furious, in amusing measure. Mic bats her eyelids, puts on her best Betty Boop voice. “Am I making you uncomfortable, Mr Todoroki, sir?” Todoroki stares in the other direction, and he growls the following through his teeth. “Get yourself off of me.”
“He speaks!” Mic proclaims, and the room cheers. “Your voice, oh man, you’re sounding like the shitty porno version of Batman right now.”
She feels Todoroki tense under his arm. She hastily complies, though, removing herself and peering at him over her sunglasses. “Yo, he’s about to kill me just now. Well, maybe I’ll just resort to the safety of my friend Aizawa over here-”
She takes herself to Aizawa’s lap instead, settling on his knees with a feigned bashful expression. And Aizawa looks at her with a mixture of amusement and interest. There’s a furious blush on that face.
“Oh, yes, this seat’s much more comfortable. Shit, when I came on stage I thought this boy right here was straight, I was wrong.” Aizawa smirks, watching her as she speaks, eyes full of interest. “That’s a joke, right? Look at him now, he’s feeling right at home with a seven foot drag queen in his lap. Almost as funny as the joke that people are spreading around saying I’m a top.” Wow. This is one handsome bastard. And not only is he unfazed, he seems to be enjoying Mic’s performance substantially.
Mic likes the attention.
She leans forward a little, resting a hand on the back of Aizawa’s chair. Aizawa doesn’t lean away, eyes on her. “You a top, baby?”
The crowd is going insane, and she hasn’t even started properly roasting this guy Todoroki yet.
Oh shit, yeah, she’s meant to be reading that asshole right now.
This Aizawa guy is way too distracting.
“Oh, honey-” she says in realisation, turning to Todoroki, waving a dismissively apologetic hand. “-Shit, sorry girl, I totally forgot about you again. You’re just that forgettable.” And behind the joyous applause, she hears Todoroki say something. She can read his lips, and that’s the only reason she can pick up what he said: Fucking freak.
Captain America looks furious on her behalf, but sort of like he wants to stay to see how this pans out, rather than drag Todoroki out. And Aizawa doesn’t seem to be paying any attention to Todoroki at all.
That possibly makes her a little smug.
Mic’s had a lot worse before, though. People have called her all sorts of names. People have called Hizashi all sorts of names, even out of drag. But they’re resilient.
A hand flies to her chest theatrically and she makes a motherly gasp. “He called me a fucking freak, ladies and gentlemen!” They boo and jeer. “Mr Todoroki, , how rude. You eat asshole with that mouth?” Even the implication that he might be anything other than straight makes him shift angrily in his seat. The only reason he hasn’t got up to leave, like some people do when they’re being read, is because of his pride. Mic assumes, anyway. That makes it so much more enjoyable.
“No, no, no- I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Mic adds, waving another apologetic hand and crossing her legs, still settled nicely in Aizawa’s lap. “I shouldn’t be so mean to you right now, you didn't know what was coming. I should tone it down, huh. OK, let’s get to know you a little better- what brings a boy like you to a place like this?” Todoroki, predictably, doesn’t reply, just looks stoically the other way. Captain America takes this question, leaning towards Mic so she can hear over the rapturous audience. “My friend recommended it, she’s a drag queen too.” Mic’s mouth falls open. “These boys are full of surprises- what’s her name?”
“Nighteye.”
“Nighteye? Holy shit, you friends with Miss Nighteye? I didn’t think anybody was friends with Nighteye, the skinny, shady bitch.”
Captain America laughs knowingly. Mic drapes an arm around Aizawa’s shoulders, and is momentarily captivated by that look he’s giving her. Like he just wants to eat her up.
She stares back.
And then shakes her head, trying to snap out of it. “I’m gonna have to remove myself, yo, you distracting me too much,” she announces with a nervous laugh. This isn’t usually how this routine goes. Aizawa looks a little disappointed, but no less interested in her as she steps away, little leather mini-dress squeaking as she returns to sit on the edge of the stage.
Todoroki glares at her.
“OK, OK, so Mr Todoroki, you got family?” No answer, of course. Mic swings her thigh high boots off the edge of the stage happily. She gesticulates with her free hand as she talks, Todoroki looking at her like he’s willing her to burst into flames on stage, Carrie style. “He ain’t best pleased, ladies and gentlemen, he ain’t best pleased. Girl why you look so pissed? It’s just a game. And that’s what you get for disrespecting my sisters on stage, you know what I’m sayin’?”
Applause fills the room, and Mic smiles down at Todoroki’s fuming expression. He won’t last much longer. She can see the security team stepping through the crowd.
“Oof. Look at that angry face. He’s so pissed. What’s the tea, sweetie? What’s the tea?” Mic leans forward, elbow on her knee and staring Todoroki down. “I wanna know, what’s the matter baby? Did someone steal that red sharpie pen you colour your hair with?”
And then he snaps. Todoroki finally stands up, but before he can get anywhere he has three security guards on him, pulling him away. There’s always that short moment when Mic is genuinely frightened. But she knows she’s safe. And she knows what game she’s playing when she’s reading men like this. She takes the risk because, in her mind, it’s worth it. And so she calmly watches Todoroki being escorted away, the audience exploding with applause and booing.
Meanwhile, Captain America picks up his stuff and confidently walks towards Mic, brows knit together anxiously. He leans forward so that only she can hear, and she removes the microphone so it doesn’t pick up his words.
“I’m sorry for my colleague. He’s a bully. Aizawa and I loved your show.” Even through all the hate in the world, little rays of sunshine like this man peek through. Mic smiles, heart genuinely warmed. “Thank you. Mr?” “Yagi. Yagi Toshinori.” She nods, committing the name to memory. “You’re a good man Mr Yagi Toshinori.” Yagi smiles apologetically and turns away, broad shoulders practically bursting out of the suit. And Mic is about to stand up and get back on stage, call the queens back out- but here comes Aizawa, a calm look of purpose on his face. He stretches out his hand, passing her something she can’t see in the dark of the audience. She reaches to take it.
There’s butterflies in her chest. Christ, it’s like she’s a thirteen year old girl.
It’s a card. Aizawa turns back into the crowd, walks lazily out of the club with his suit jacket over his arm. Mic looks down at the card.
His business card. With his mobile number.
She can’t help but laugh out loud in disbelief.
“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,” she announces with no small amount of excitement. There’s fireworks going off in her chest. Combined with the adrenaline of her reading, this is almost too much. “This is a Club Hero first. I just that nice man’s number.”
The crowd explodes. She turns to look behind her, where the queens are catwalking back on stage and waiting for their cue to being their routine again. Some of them applauding her and cheering her on. Nemuri peers from behind the stage curtain, giving a giant thumbs up. She’s never going to let Mic live this down.
Mic stands up on stage, looks into the crowd, who are still cheering. She laughs again.
“I’m clearly not doing this reading thing properly if I’m coming away with a date.”

The gentle hum of the Mans Am was enough to lull Henry to sleep. He looked over at Ray, who had zoned out as soon as they got on the highway, only making subtle adjustments when needed. He was in his pajamas, and his hair was a mess. I guess I woke him up, Henry thought. He felt guilty for calling Ray in the middle of the night, but he didn't know who else to call. He had snuck out, so he couldn't call his parents or Piper, and Charlotte would just say "I told you so". Jasper couldn't even drive, and Lord knows where Schwoz was. So, he called Ray. Ray, who dropped anything and everything whenever Henry needed something, anything. Ray, who cared more for him than his own father. Ray, who just needed some goddamn sleep. A wave of guilt rushed over Henry, who once again realized Ray was half-asleep. Trying to push the guilty feeling out of his mind, he thought back to what brought him here.
~~~~~
"Hey Henry, you coming to my party tonight?"
"Oh, h-hey Kendra. Uhh, yeah, I can make it," Henry said, blushing.
"Great! See you there." She gave him a once-over before walking off. Henry couldn't help but stare in awe.
"Henry, snap out of it! Are you actually going to Kendra's party?" asked Charlotte, concerned.
"I heard shes bad news bears. Don't go, Hen," added Jasper
"I'll be fine, guys. Besides, she's cute." Henry had a loving look in his eyes. Jasper and Charlotte looked at each other.
"Henry, she's known to get into some bad shit. Seriously, don't go. I worry about you sometimes," Charlotte told him. Henry frowned.
"I can take care of myself. I don't need you on my ass all the time," he snapped. Charlotte sighed.
"Just be careful, alright? Make good choices," she said, before grabbing Jasper's hand and walking off. Jasper resisted her pull for a second, until she gave him A Look, and he followed. Henry slammed his locker shut and went home for the night.
~~~~~
"Henry, your mother and I are going to a play tonight and we need you to stay home and watch Piper," Mr. Hart said, adjusting his tie. Henry stood up in protest.
" Dad, I can't! I have a party tonight!"
"Hah! As if. Your nerd friends wouldn't have a party," Mr. Hart pointed out, slightly mean.
"Hah. You're a nerd," jeered Piper, from the other room. Henry glared at her.
"No for reals. This girl, Kendra, she invited me to a party tonight," Henry insisted.
"Don't care. You, young man, are going to watch Piper and you are going to LIKE it!" Mr. Hart left in a huff, and Mrs. Hart left soon after.
"There's no way KENDRA invited you to her party," said Piper, looking at her phone.
"She did! It was wack," said Henry, gazing into the distance.
"Well I'm having my friend Marla over and we want you out of the house. Do you need a ride?"
"Nah, I'll be fine. Hey, if Mom and Dad get home before me, can you cover?"
"Duh. Go have fun." Piper pushed him playfully, and he walked out the front door.
~~~~~
"Henry! Glad you could make it," Kendra said, putting her hand on his arm. She smelled like booze. "Can I get you something to drink?"
"N-no thanks," said Henry, somewhat uncomfortable. "Is everyone, y'know-"
"Drinking? No, not everyone. I know I saw Bianca with a cup, but I know Bilsky's not. But he has a joint so that's probably why." Henry frowned. "You sure you don't want any?"
"I'm sure. I have uhhh, work tomorrow and I can't be like, hungover or anything." Kendra shrugged.
"Alright. Suit yourself." She grabbed his hand and led him towards the kitchen, where a couple people were, including Mitch Bilsky. "You have fun, I'll be riiiight back," she said, planting a kiss on Henry's cheek before walking off.
"Hart! Did Kendra really invite YOU?" Mitch looked almost happy to see him. He was oddly chill. "D'you wanna hit?" That explains the chill, Henry thought.
"I'm good, Mitch."
"Whatever. Hey, where's those other two?" Mitch questioned. "Y'know, the bucket fucker and the know it all?"
"You mean Jasper and Charlotte? They uh, couldn't make it." Henry thought back to his friends, and how worried they were about him. They wanted the best for him, and he treated them like shit. He considered leaving, until Kendra came back. She took his hand and led him to a more secluded area of the house. She pushed him onto the couch, climbed on top, and shoved her lips onto his. Slowly, he accepted. She tasted like the Man Cave air after a bad fight. The Man Cave. His friends - his family really. Jasper, Schwoz, Ray. And Charlotte. He recalled what she had said that afternoon - make good choices. He felt horrible about the way he had treated her. She was watching out for him, like she always does. She looks out for her boys, and in return she only gets Henry's bullshit. Henry realized that this wasn't something he wanted, he wasn't with the people he cared about - the people who cared about him. He quickly pushed Kendra off, to her surprise.
"What the hell, man?" She looked pissed.
"I uhh, have to go to the bathroom," Henry lied. She rolled her eyes.
"Down the hall and to the left. But don't take too long," she added, winking.
"Uh-huh." He ran to the bathroom and quickly locked the door. Trying his best to not break down, he hurriedly tapped the name he'd called so many times before. The phone only rang twice before he heard a familiar, sleepy voice.
"H'lo?"
"Ray! Oh thank God, I'm at a party and they're all drinking and Mitch Bilsky brought weed and I think I saw someone with Adderall or something and I just... I don't wanna be here. Can you please pick me up?" he said, on the verge of tears. The line was silent for a minute. "I didn't wake you up, did I?"
"Nope," Ray said through a heavy yawn. "Text me the address, I'll be there ASAP." Henry breathed a sigh of relief, and waited in the bathroom until he got the glorious "I'm here" text from Ray.
~~~~~
A hard swerve of the car broke Henry from his thoughts. Ray mumbled something under his breath, and his eyes were halfway shut. Henry once again felt guilty for waking him up and making him drive all the way to get him. He finally spoke up.
"Ray, I'm so-
"Don't apologize, kid. I'm glad you're okay." He put his hand on Henry's shoulder. "You're my kid, and your safety is my priority."
"No, really, you haven't slept in days
I could've Ubered, or stayed there, or called Piper, or anything. I shouldn't've woken you up."
"Henry, let me tell you something. When you love someone, whether it's platonic, or familial, or romantic, you would drop anything for them. You're my kid and I love you. Besides, we'll be back to the Man Cave in no time. Oh sHI-" Ray narrowly avoided another car after drifting into the other lane and quickly flipped the bird. Henry cringed.
"Look dude, you need sleep. I could've called someone else." Ray sighed.
"Henry, when you became my sidekick, you swore an oath to obey my orders, and right now I order you to stop worrying about me." He cracked a smile, and Henry felt better.
"Thanks.... Dad." And slowly but surely, Henry began to cry.
"Kid, it's okay, I promise, don't worry about me," Ray reassured him.
"It's not that, it's just... oh God, gimme a minute..." Henry said, wiping his eyes. "Whew... it's just... my dad's always leaving for DAYS at a time and my mom's like... GONE. I mean she was here tonight, but otherwise I don't really see her that much and I don't even think they WORRY about me... Piper was in the tubes for like a day and a half and he didn't even care until someone told him to. But when I call you to pick me up, you just come and pick me up and say you care and it’s just... it feels good to be loved by this." Ray was silent for a minute.
"Henry, anything you need, EVER, I can do for you. If you need a pick up, I can do that. If you forget your lunch, I can get that. And Henry, God forbid you need a place to stay? The Man Cave is always open to you. Piper, too. Now get some rest, we'll be there soon. Love you, kid."
"Love you too, Dad." The gentle hum of the Mans Am was enough to lull Henry to sleep, and so, basking in the love he felt, he fell asleep.

BLOG TOUR - Demon Assassins
DISCLAIMER: This content has been provided to INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS by Bewitching Book Tours. No compensation was received. This information required by the Federal Trade Commission.   INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHOR Thank you so much for inviting me to your blog! I appreciate your interest in my books.   What initially got you interested in writing? I’ve always been a writer. Poetry and the school paper in high school and interminable, far less interesting, writing as a psychologist. Words have always come easily to me, so I write fast, which helps. I’ve spent a lot of time in the backcountry by myself. Stories always ran around in my head and one day toward the tail end of 2008, I came home from a Labor Day trip to climb Bear Creek Spire, sat at the keyboard, and began breathing life into my fantasies.   How did you decide to make the move into being a published author? I started with short stories and after having about 15 of them accepted for publication, I moved into longer works. At the beginning, I wrote for publishers. It’s only been the last couple of years I made a full commitment to being an Indie author.   What do you want readers to take away from reading your works? Many of my books have a dystopian setting. I probably do that because I want others to understand how truly fragile our environment is—and how easily we could lose it. For my romances, I want readers to see that everything worthwhile takes effort. No one gets everything they want. Not in my stories or in real life, either.   What do you find most rewarding about writing? I love the flow. I feel more like a medium than anything else when ideas are flowing, and I live in that story world right along with my characters.   What do you find most challenging about writing? Marketing. I’ve had a love-hate relationship with it from the beginning. I went from a profession where I needed to be darn near invisible to one where I sometimes feel like I live in a fishbowl. The transition hasn’t been an easy one.   What advice would you give to people want to enter the field? Treat writing like a job. Be structured and disciplined about it. Set daily word count goals and stick with it until you’ve gotten there. Depending on how my day goes, I’m often at the computer late at night because I won’t let myself sleep until I have that day’s chapter written. Don’t expect instant success, or success at all. There’s not much money in books. This is something you do because you love it—not because you think you can be the next Nora Roberts. I’m finally making a decent income, but it’s taken years, and I still plow half of what I earn back into cover art, editing, marketing, and now audio.   What ways can readers connect with you? www.anngimpel.com www.facebook.com/anngimpel.author www.amazon.com/author/anngimpel http://anngimpel.blogspot.com @AnnGimpel I also have a presence on Pinterest, G+, and Linked In ABOUT THE BOOKS Witch’s Bounty Demon Assassins Book One Ann Gimpel   Dream Shadow Press 66K words   Release Date: 9/6/16   Genre: Urban Fantasy Romance   Urban Fantasy Romance with a heaping side of Hexes, Spells, and Magick!   Book Description:   One of three remaining demon assassin witches, Colleen is almost the last of her kind. Along with her familiar, a changeling spirit, she was hoping for a few months of quiet, running a small magicians’ supply store in Fairbanks, Alaska. Peace isn’t in the cards, though. Demons are raising hell in Seattle. She’s on her way to kick some serious demon ass, when a Sidhe shows up and demands she accompany him to England to quell a demon uprising.   Gutsy, opinionated, and outspoken, Colleen refuses to come. Witches need her help, and they trump everything else. Despite breaking a prime Sidhe precept concerning non-interference in mortals’ affairs, Duncan offers his assistance. Colleen fascinates him, and he wants to discover more about her. Lots more. The Sidhe might be the best-looking man Colleen’s ever stumbled over, but she doesn’t have time for him—or much of anything else. She, Jenna, and Roz are Earth’s only hedge against being overrun by Hell’s minions. Even with help from a powerful magic wielder like Duncan, the odds aren’t good and the demons know it. Sensing victory is within their grasp, they close in for the kill.   Amazon    BN    Kobo    iBooks    ARe    Google Play    Author’s Store   Excerpt from Witch’s Bounty:   Rain worsened from a steady drizzle to a pounding, punishing deluge of icy sleet. Colleen Kelly strengthened the spell around herself. It sizzled where it ran up against the droplets. At least she wasn't quite as wet as she would have been without its protection. Pavement glistened wetly in the last of the day's light. It was just past three in the afternoon, but December days were short in the northern latitudes and Fairbanks was pretty far north. “At least it’s not snowing,” she muttered as she pushed through a nearby glass-fronted door into the magicians’ supply store she owned with two other witches in the older part of downtown. Bells hanging around the door pealed discordantly. She sent a small jolt of magic to silence them. “I heard that. Not the bells, but you. It’s supposed to snow this time of year. How could you possibly be pleased the weather patterns have gone to hell?” Jenna Neil stalked over to the coatrack where Colleen stood. Blonde hair, hacked off at shoulder level, framed a gamine’s face and shrewd, hazel eyes. Jenna towered over Colleen’s six foot height by a good four inches, and her broad shoulders would’ve made most men jealous. Between her trademark high-heeled boots and a scruffy embroidered red cloak tossed over skintight blue jeans, she looked as exotic as the anti-hex hoop earrings dangling from each ear. Colleen rolled her eyes, shook out her coat, and hung it on the rack. “Spare me your lecture about global warming, okay? It’s cold enough to snow. It just isn’t, for some reason.” “Mmph.” The line of Jenna’s jaw tensed. Indian spices wafted through the air, mingling with the scents of herbs, dried flowers, and desiccated body parts from small animals. Colleen’s stomach growled. Breakfast had been at six that morning—a long time ago. Pretty bad when even dried newt smelled like food. “Did you cook something?” she asked. “And if you did, is there any left?” A terse nod. Jenna turned away, walking fast. Colleen lengthened her normal stride to catch up. “Hey, sweetie. What happened? You can’t be in this big a snit over the weather.” Jenna kept walking, heading for the small kitchen at the back of the store. “A lot of things. I was just having a cup of tea. Shop’s been dead today.” She disappeared behind a curtain. Colleen glanced over one shoulder at the empty store. The phalanx of bells around the door would alert them if anyone stopped in. The minute she tugged the heavy, upholstery fabric that served as a kitchen door aside, the pungent tang of Irish whiskey made her eyes water. “You said tea.” “Yeah, well I spiked it.” Colleen grunted. “Smells like you took a bath in booze. What the fuck happened?” She grabbed the larger woman and spun her so they faced one another. “We got another pay-your-tithe-or-die e-mail from our Coven.” Jenna’s nostrils flared in annoyance. “So? That’s like the tenth one.” There were new policies none of them agreed with, so they’d joined with about twenty other witches and stopped paying the monthly stipend that supported their Coven’s hierarchy. “It’s not what’s bothering me.” Jenna pulled free from Colleen, tipped her cup, and took a slug of what smelled like mostly liquor. Colleen fought a desire to swat her. Getting to the point quickly had never been one of Jenna’s talents. She clamped her jaws together. “What is?” “Roz called with…problems.” Jenna turned and started toward the steep staircase ladder leading to her bedroom above the shop. “You can’t just drop that bomb and leave.” Colleen made another grab for Jenna to keep her in the kitchen. Worry for their friend ate at her. Of the three of them, Roz was by far the most volatile. “What happened? I thought she was in Missouri, or maybe it was Oklahoma, visiting that dishy dude she met online.” “Didn’t work out.” The corners of Jenna’s mouth twisted downward. Colleen quirked a brow, urging her friend to say more. Jenna plowed on. “He only wanted her for her magic. Turned out he preferred men.” “Aw, shit.” Colleen blew out a breath. “She must’ve been disappointed.” Half a snorting laugh bubbled past Jenna’s lips. “Maybe now she is. At the time, furious would’ve been closer to the mark.” Colleen’s throat tightened. “Crap! What’d she do? She didn’t hurt him, did she?” “Not directly. She turned him over to the local Coven.” “Thank God!” Colleen let go of Jenna and laid a hand over her heart. Roxanne Lantry was more than capable of killing anyone who pissed her off. It was how she ended up in Alaska. Roz hadn’t exactly been caught when her cheating husband and his two girlfriends went missing, but she hadn’t stuck around to encourage the authorities to question her, either. Colleen and Jenna had already left Seattle when that little incident went down. Roz repressed her antipathy for Alaska’s legendary foul weather and joined them. Magically, she was strong as an ox, and she had a hell of a temper. Colleen’s stomach growled again. Louder this time. It didn’t give a good goddamn about anything other than its empty state. She pushed past Jenna to the stove, lifted a lid, and peered into a battered aluminum pot. Curry blasted her. The spicy odor stung her eyes and made her nose run. “Whew. Potent. Mind if I help myself?” “Go ahead.” Jenna sat heavily in one of two chairs with a rickety wooden table between them. She picked up her mug and took another long swallow. Dish in hand, Colleen slapped it on the table in front of the other chair and went in search of a mug of her own. There weren’t any clean ones, so she plucked one out of the sink and rinsed it. Back at the stove, she tipped the teakettle. Thick, amber liquid spilled from its stubby snout into her waiting mug. Jenna waggled the whiskey bottle in her direction. “Nah.” Colleen settled at the table. “It would go right to my head. Maybe after I get some food on board.” She tucked in. After the first few mouthfuls, when the curry powder nearly annihilated her taste buds, the pea, potato, and ham mixture wasn’t half-bad. Jenna drank steadily, not offering anything by way of conversation. When Colleen’s dish was empty, she refilled her mug with tea, filched a couple of biscuits from the cupboard, and sat back down. “Are you going to talk to me?” “I suppose so.” Jenna’s words slurred slightly. Colleen cocked her head to one side. “I suggest you start now, before you forget how.” “Oh, please.” Jenna blew out a breath, showering the small space with whiskey fumes. Colleen waited. The other witch could be stubborn. Wheedling, cajoling, or urging wouldn’t work until she was good and ready to talk. Finally, after so long Colleen had nearly chewed a hole in her cheek, Jenna finally muttered, “Roz called.” Colleen ground her teeth together. “You already said that. It’s how you knew what happened with the guy.” Jenna nodded. “There’s more.” She picked up the whiskey, started to pour it into her mug, then apparently changed her mind and drank right from the bottle. “She’s in Seattle. Checked in with Witches’ Northwest, just to say hello, and because she wanted to touch base with people she’s known for a long time.” Another long pause. Colleen batted back a compulsion spell. It wasn’t nice to use those on your friends. She shoved her hands under her bottom to reduce the temptation. Jenna lowered her voice until Colleen had to strain to hear. “The Irichna demons are back.” “But our last confrontation wasn’t all that long ago. Only a few months. Sometimes when we best them, they’ve stayed gone for years.” Colleen shook her head. Even the sound of the word, Irichna, crackled against her ears, making them tingle unpleasantly. Irichna demons were the worst. Hands down, no contest. They worked for Abbadon, Demon of the Abyss. Evil didn’t get much worse than that. No wonder Jenna was drinking. Colleen held her hand out for the bottle—suddenly a drink seemed like a most excellent idea—and picked her words with care. “Did Roz actually sight one?” “Yeah. She also asked if we could come and help. More than asked. She came as close to begging as I’ve ever heard her.” “Erk. They have a whole Coven there. Several if you count all the ones in western Washington. Why do they need us?” Colleen belted back a stiff mouthful of whiskey. It burned a track all the way to her stomach where it did battle with all the curry she’d eaten. Jenna just shot her a look. “You know why.” Colleen swallowed again, hoping for oblivion, except it couldn’t come quick enough. She knew exactly why, but the answer stuck in her craw and threatened to choke her. The three of them were the last of a long line of demon assassins, witches with specialized powers, able to lure demons, immobilize them, and send them packing to the netherworld. When things worked right. They often didn’t, though, which was what killed off the other demon assassin witches. It didn’t help that demons as a group had been gathering power these last fifty years or so. Witches lived for a long time, but they were far from immortal, and demon assassin ability was genetic. She, Jenna, or Roz would have to produce children or that strain of magic would die out. So far, none of them had come anywhere close to identifying a guy who looked like husband material… Colleen looked at her hands. Even absent a husband, none of them had a shred of domesticity. Certainly not enough to saddle themselves with offspring. “What’s the matter?” Jenna grinned wickedly, clearly more than a little drunk. “Cat got your tongue too?” As if on cue, a blood-curdling meow rose from a shadowed corner of the kitchen and Bubba, Colleen’s resident familiar, padded forward. When he was halfway to them, he gathered his haunches beneath him and sprang to the table. It rocked alarmingly, and Jenna made a grab for her cup. The large black cat skinned his lips back from his upper teeth, bared his incisors, and hissed. “Oh, all right.” Colleen clamped her jaws tight and summoned the magic to shift Bubba to his primary form, a gnarled three-foot changeling. The air shimmered around him. Before it cleared, he swiped the liquor out of her hand and drained the bottle. “Would’ve been a good reason to leave you a cat,” Jenna mumbled. He stood on the table and glared at both of them, elbows akimbo, bottle still dangling from his oversized fingers. “If you’re going to fight demons, you have to take me with you.” “No, we don’t,” Colleen countered. “You don’t follow directions well,” Jenna said pointedly. “Isn’t that the truth?” Colleen rotated her head from side to side, starting to feel the whiskey. At least once when they’d humored the changeling, he’d almost gotten all of them killed. Problem was she couldn’t predict when he’d follow her orders, and when he’d decide on a different tack altogether. Then there were the times his fearlessness had saved them all. Bubba might be a wildcard, but he was her wildcard. “You forgot when I welcomed your spirit into my body—and kept it alive—while the healers worked on you.” Bubba eyed Colleen, sounding smug. “If you hadn’t decided to play hero, and needed to be rescued, the demons wouldn’t have injured me.” Colleen winced at the sour undertone in her voice. That incident had happened five years before. Maybe it was time she got over it. “Nevertheless.” He tossed his shaggy head, thick with hair as black as the cat’s. “When you conjured me from the barrows of Ireland, and bound me, we became a unit. You can’t go off and leave me here. It would be like leaving a part of yourself behind.” His dark eyes glittered with challenge. “I hate to admit it—” Jenna sounded a little less drunk “—but he’s right.” “See.” Bubba leered at them, jumped off the table, and waddled over to the stove with his bowlegged gait. Once there, he opened the oven, climbed onto its door, and peeked into the pot. He started to stick a hand inside. “Hold it right there, bud.” Colleen got to her feet, covered the distance to the stove, and dished him up some of the curry mixture. “Get some clothes on and you can have this.” He clambered down from his perch and over to several colorful canisters scattered around the house where she stashed outfits for him. Keeping Bubba clothed had been a huge problem until she’d hatched up a plan, and sewn him several pant and shirt combos with Velcro closures, since he didn’t like buttons or zippers. The changeling dressed quickly and took the bowl from her. “I could’ve gotten my own food.” “Better for the rest of us if you keep your paws out of the cook pot.” Jenna stood a bit unsteadily. “I’ll be right back.” Bubba stuffed food into his mouth with his fingers. “Where’s she going?” His words came out garbled as he chewed open-mouthed. Colleen looked away. “Probably to pee. Maybe to throw up. Um, look, Bubba, it might be wiser if we took a quick side trip to Ireland and released you.” She glanced sidelong at the changeling spirit she’d summoned during a major demon war forty years before. He’d been truly helpful then, especially after he’d mastered English, which hadn’t taken him all that long. In the intervening time, he’d mostly clung to his feline form, eating and keeping their shop free of mice and rats. They’d lived in Seattle the first ten years or so after he joined them, relocating to Alaska to conceal their longevity. She dragged the heels of her hands down her face, feeling tired. It was getting close to time to move again, but she didn’t want to think about it. Bubba shook his head emphatically. Food flew from the sides of his mouth. He scooped a glob off the floor and ate it anyway. “I have to agree to being released. I don’t want to go back to my barrow. I like it much better here.” Colleen sucked in a hollow breath, blew it out, and did it again. Bubba was right. Rules were rules. He’d had a choice at the front end. He could’ve refused her. Witches respected all living creatures. The ones on the good side of the road, anyway. No forced servitude for their familiars, despite rumors to the contrary. Jenna lurched back into the kitchen looking a little green. “You okay?” Colleen asked. “Yeah. I drank too much, that’s all.” She rinsed her mug at the sink, refilled it with tap water, and sat back down. “Did you two come up with a plan?” “I’m going.” Bubba left his dish on the floor and vaulted back onto the table. Jenna rolled red-rimmed eyes. “That was the discussion when I left.” “Your point?” Colleen swallowed irritation. “Nothing.” The other witch sounded sullen, but maybe she just didn’t feel well. “I offered to free him—” Colleen began. “I refused,” Bubba cut in. He shook his head. “No recognition for all my years of loyal service. Tsk. You should be—” “Stuff it.” Jenna glared at him. “We have bigger problems than your wounded ego.” He stuck out his lower lip, looking injured as only a changeling spirit could, but he didn’t say anything else. “I suppose we have to go to Seattle,” Colleen muttered, half to herself. “Don’t see any way around it.” Jenna worried her lower lip between her teeth. “What exactly did Roz say?” “We didn’t talk long. Her cellphone battery was almost dead.” A muscle twitched beneath Jenna’s eye. “She’d just stopped in at Coven Headquarters and the group mobbed her. Said we had to come. They’ve already lost about twenty witches to stealth demon attacks.” Colleen’s heart skipped a few beats. Twenty witches was a lot. Maybe a quarter of the Witches’ Northwest Coven. “Crap. When did the attacks start?” “Only a few days ago. They’d planned to call us, but saw it as goddess intervention when Roz showed up.” “Damn that Oklahoma cowboy.” Colleen pounded a fist into her open palm. “If his Coven doesn’t flatten him, I will.” “He wasn’t a cowboy.” Jenna’s voice held a flat, dead sound. “He was supposed to be a witch. You know, like us.” “Doesn’t matter.” “Do you want to close things up here, or should I try to get someone from our Coven to fill in at the shop?” Jenna looked pale, but the tipsy aspect had left her face. Colleen shook her head. “We haven’t sold enough in the last few weeks to make it worthwhile to pay someone to clerk for us.” “Okay.” Jenna’s hazel eyes clouded with worry. “When do you want to leave?” “If you asked Witches’ Northwest, we probably should’ve left three days ago.” “How are we getting there?” Bubba squared his hunched shoulders as much as he could and eyed Colleen. “Excellent question.” Jenna looked at Colleen too. She raised her hands in front of her face, palms out. “Stop it, you two. I can’t deal with the pressure.” Colleen clamped her jaws together and considered their options. Roz already had a car in Seattle. It didn’t make sense to drive their other one down, plus it would take too long. Flying with Bubba was impossible. He looked too odd in his gnome form and his cat form didn’t do well with the pressure changes. They had to teleport, which would seriously deplete their magic and mean they couldn’t fight so much as a disembodied spirit for at least twenty-four hours after they arrived. Jenna screwed her face into an apologetic scowl, apparently having come to the same conclusion. “Look, I’m sorry I’m not more help. There’s something about that particular mix of earth, fire, and air that I always bungle.” Air whistled through Colleen’s teeth. It had been so long since they’d teleported anywhere, she’d almost forgotten Jenna’s ineptitude with the requisite spell. “How about this? You go down to the basement and practice. I’ll get a few things together…” “What do you want me to do?” Bubba asked. “You can help me,” Jenna said. “I’ll do better if I have an object to practice with.” The changeling scrunched his low forehead into a mass of wrinkles. “Just don’t get me lost.” “Even if she does, I’ll be able to find you.” Colleen tried to sound reassuring. She was fond of her familiar. In many ways, he was very childlike. Heh! Maybe that’s why I’ve been so reluctant to have a kid. I already have one who’ll never grow up. The bells around the shop door clanged a discordant riot of notes. “Crap!” Jenna shot to her feet. “First customer in two days. I should’ve locked the damn door.” “Back to cat form.” Colleen flicked her fingers at Bubba, who shrank obligingly and slithered out of clothing, which puddled around him. She snatched up his shirt and pants and dropped them back into the canister. “I say,” a strongly accented male voice called out. “Is anyone here?” “I’ll take care of the Brit,” Colleen mouthed. “Take Bubba to the basement and practice.” She got to her feet and stepped past the curtain. “Yes?” She gazed around the dimly lit store for their customer. A tall, powerfully built man, wearing dark slacks and a dark turtleneck, strode toward her, a woolen greatcoat slung over one arm. His white-blond hair was drawn back into a queue. Arresting facial bones—sculpted cheeks, strong jaw, high forehead—captured her attention and stole her breath. He was quite possibly the most gorgeous man she’d ever laid eyes on. Discerning green eyes zeroed in on her face, caught her gaze, and held it. Magic danced around him in a numinous shroud. Strong magic. What was he? And then she knew. Daoine Sidhe. The man had to be Sidhe royalty. No wonder he was so stunning it almost hurt to look at him. Colleen held her ground. She placed her feet shoulder width apart and crossed her arms over her chest. “What can I help you with?” “Colleen Kelly?” Okay, so he knows who I am. Doesn’t mean a thing. He’s Sidhe. Could’ve plucked my name right out of my head. “That would be me. How can I help you?” she repeated, burying a desire to lick nervously at her lips. “Time is short. I’ve been hunting you for a while now. Come closer, witch. We need to talk.” Witch’s Bane Demon Assassins Book 2 Ann Gimpel   Dream Shadow Press 66K words   Release Date: 9/6/16   Genre: Urban Fantasy Romance   Urban Fantasy Romance with a heaping side of Hexes, Spells, and Magick!   Book Description:   Last of the demon assassin witches, Roz, Jenna, and Colleen have escaped disaster so far, but their luck is running low. Rain pelted her from beneath a gunmetal sky, but it was better out here than inside. She fought an unfamiliar thickening at the back of her throat and balled her hands into fists. “I will not cry,” she muttered to an inquisitive ground squirrel that ran across her boot tops, but telling herself and controlling her emotions were two different things. One of her two best friends, Colleen Kelly, would be getting married in less than half an hour. Roz had been inside, in the midst of all the bride-craziness, but seeing Colleen swathed in cream-colored lace sent her into a tailspin. What the fuck is wrong with me? She kicked at a hummock of grass and yelped when it didn’t move, but the pain from her stubbed toes helped her focus. If she was honest, not an easy task when men were involved, she knew exactly what was bothering her. “Yeah,” she mouthed the words, lecturing herself. “Two failed marriages and a whole bunch of loser dudes before, after, and in between. I’m jealous and I need a good, swift boot in the backside. Just because Colleen finally stumbled across Mr. Right doesn’t lower my odds of ever finding someone who’s gorgeous and magical and worships me.” Now if I could only believe that… Roz was happy for Colleen and Duncan, the Daoine Sidhe she was marrying. They made a great couple, but surely there was enough connubial bliss in the universe to sprinkle a little her way too. Her last go-round with a strikingly handsome Oklahoman she’d met online had ended in fireworks when he’d admitted all he really wanted was to tap into her magical ability. When the rubber met the road, he didn’t even like women. Her stomach churned. She hated being made a fool of. She’d turned the guy in to his Coven for false advertising and laying a trap to delude a fellow magic wielder, but she doubted they’d done much to censure him. Water dripped off her nose. She stuck out her lower lip and blew upward, but the rain kept on dripping. Roz shook her fist at the low-hanging clouds, recognizing it for displacement activity. What she really wanted to do was pound her fist through the Oklahoman’s nice, straight nose. Enough of this. Give it a rest. That happened months ago. For Christ’s sake, I need to get moving, go inside, and trade my jeans and serape for fancy duds. Roz took a few deep breaths to settle her angst. She couldn’t show her tear-stained face to the world. She’d never live it down. When she closed her eyes, the Oklahoma asshole formed behind her lids, taunting her. Roz clenched her jaw and summoned a calming spell. It seemed like cheating, but time was short. As the wispy edges of magic caught her up, they soothed her frazzled nerves and she turned hard right and headed for the house at a brisk trot. She, Colleen, and Jenna Neil were the last of a long line of demon assassins. Witches with specialized powers, they lured Irichna demons, immobilized them, and sent them packing to the netherworld. When things worked right, she and her sister witches—along with Colleen’s familiar—shanghaied the demons and locked them behind the gate guarding the Ninth Circle of Hell. The demons didn’t go without a fight, though, which was what had killed off the other demon assassin witches. It didn’t help that demons as a group had been gathering power these last fifty years or so. Witches lived a long time, but they were far from immortal, and demon assassination ability was genetic. She, Jenna, or Colleen would have to produce children or that strain of magic would die out. None of them had a shred of domesticity, so no one had signed up for motherhood. At least not yet. I can’t put two weeks together without a major demon battle these days. How the hell could I take time off to raise a kid? Rain ran down her neck and Roz shivered. Thinking about demons chilled her bones. Realizing she’d stopped walking, she plodded toward the house again and forced her thoughts to the magicians’ supply store she owned with Colleen and Jenna in Fairbanks, Alaska. The other two witches had moved there months ahead of her. She hated the idea of all that snow and cold and winter nights that lasted twenty hours, but she’d boxed herself into a dicey situation and hadn’t had much choice. Her temper, never very controllable on a good day, had gotten the better of her, and she made short work of her cheating husband and his two—yup, count ’em—girlfriends. After that, she’d packed up and headed her aging Subaru north. Next stop, Fairbanks… That had happened a few years ago. So many, it was almost time to move on before anyone noticed she and the other witches didn’t seem to grow any older. Roz shook her head, not wanting to go there, either. She forced her mind back to the special skill she shared with Colleen and Jenna. She hated to admit it, but demons held the high cards these days, and she had no idea how to even the odds. Aren’t I just the queen of cheerful? She gave herself a mental shake with instructions to snap out of her funk. Roz made it to the huge house and tugged on one of the ground level doors. When it didn’t open, she hit it with a jolt of magic, and the deadbolt snicked aside. She stopped long enough to shake water off her and then loped down a long corridor with a concrete floor toward one of the old mansion’s many stairwells. Fluorescent lights, recessed into the ceiling, gave off a sickly yellow gleam that matched her sour mood. She’d just begun climbing upward when a rush of footsteps sounded from the hallway below. “There you are,” Bubba, Colleen’s familiar, cried out and leapt up the stairs after her. Roz glanced over a shoulder and saw he was in his normal form: a three-foot-tall changeling with oversized feet, long arms, and a bow-legged gait. His shaggy, black hair had been brushed until it shone, and his dark eyes glittered mischievously. Colleen had a hell of a time keeping him dressed, but today he sported black pants and a black jacket over a white shirt. “Yes,” Roz countered, still feeling out of sorts. “Here I am. The question is why aren’t you upstairs with everyone else?” “Colleen got worried. She sent me to hunt you down.” Bubba crossed his arms over his chest, looking pleased with himself. Roz rolled her eyes. “Bubba, look—” “Uh-uh.” He uncrossed his arms and waggled a finger at her. “Niall. Remember, you all promised to use my real name from now on.” “So we did. Crap! I don’t have time for this.” She unkinked her neck and trudged upward. “No kidding,” he agreed. “Everyone’s here, and you’re not even dressed yet.” Rather than focus on her shortcomings, Roz changed the subject. “You’re looking pretty spiffy, bud.” “Do you like it?” “What I saw of it. It’s sort of like a black tuxedo, but with Velcro instead of buttons.” “I hate buttons.” Roz grinned in spite of herself. “I know you do, sweetie.” She came to the third floor landing and pushed the stairwell door open, holding it for the changeling. “Run and tell Colleen I’ll be there in about fifteen minutes.” Without waiting for an answer, she walked briskly halfway down the long hall and let herself into her bedroom. Locking the door behind her, she unlaced her wet boots and toed them off. Next she shucked her sodden clothes, ducked into the bathroom, and gathered strands of coal black hair, pulling it into a ponytail with both hands. Once she had her hair together, she wrapped her head in a towel. She didn’t believe in hair dryers, so once she’d soaked as much water as she could into the towel, she grabbed her comb, made several sections, and plaited her knee-length, straight-as-a-stick hair, weaving it into a pseudo-French braid. Before she left the bathroom, she inspected her face in the mirror. She never wore makeup because it made her look like a clown. Her bronzed skin and stark bone structure declared her Native American blood more clearly than words could have. She smoothed her eyebrows with a few drops of water and considered which of two outfits to wear. Colleen had said it didn’t matter to her, so long as Roz didn’t show up in her usual tattered blue jeans and combat boots. With a snort of amusement, she padded back into the bedroom and pulled a long, beaded black buckskin skirt off a hanger. She stepped into it and laced the side fastening. Next came a turquoise deerskin top, also beaded, that clung to her like a second skin. In addition to not bothering with makeup, she also didn’t care for underthings, so the outline of her breasts was clearly visible through the soft leather. She slipped a heavy silver and turquoise necklace over her head, arranging her braid on top of it, and grabbed a matching ring off the dresser. The only thing left was her moccasins. Roz wriggled her feet into them, enjoying the way the deerskin warmed and hugged her feet. Jenna always wore high heels, but Roz had never understood how she could tolerate them. They’d had a few heated discussions years ago before Roz finally gave up. “To each her own,” she told the mirror. Satisfied she looked presentable, she focused the threads of her calming spell, strengthened it a bit to make certain she’d last through the ceremony without breaking down and bawling like an idiot, and let herself into the hallway. The buzz of a crowd reached her from the main floor. She glanced toward the stairs and then the other way, wondering if Colleen was still up here. Figuring it couldn’t hurt to find out, she walked two doors down and knocked. The door flew open almost immediately and she looked into an accusing set of pale blue eyes. “It’s about fucking time,” Colleen exclaimed. Auburn hair with lily of the valley woven into it swirled around her, falling to waist level. At six feet, Colleen was normally a good four inches shorter than Roz, but today she wore heels and they were of a height. “Huh?” Roz murmured, confused. “I almost went downstairs. I had no idea you were waiting for me.” “We’d planned to all go down together.” Colleen sounded sullen. “You know, like a proper wedding party.” “If we were all that proper,” Roz said, “Jenna and I would be wearing matching—” Jenna made chopping motions with both hands and unfolded her well-rounded frame from off the bed. Blonde hair, hacked off at shoulder level, framed a gamine’s face with shrewd, hazel eyes. Rather than her standard, thrift store couture, today she wore a short beige silk skirt, a lacy blouse, and her trademark high-heeled boots. Huge, golden hoops graced her ears. She walked to Roz’s side and looped an arm through hers. “Don’t think anything of it. The bride—” she waved an airy hand Colleen’s way “—has been antsy as a scalded cat all day.” Colleen closed her teeth together with an audible clack. “Maybe I’m making a mistake.” Roz and Jenna turned to stare at her. “What?” Jenna asked, incredulous. “Hey, if you don’t want him—” Roz began. “No shit,” Jenna interrupted. “Tall, blond, drop dead gorgeous. Those green eyes are to die for and those shoulders.” She made panting noises. “The couple of times I saw him without a shirt, I almost came just watching his muscles rustle beneath his skin when he walked.” Colleen rolled her eyes. “You two are impossible. Can’t a bride have a case of jitters without her two closest friends turning into vultures?” “No.” Roz looked down her nose at Colleen. “Considering how long and hard I’ve hunted for decent partner material…” She let her words trail off before the extent of her jealousy leaked out. The door blew inward and Bubba marched in, hands on his hips. “Come on. Everyone’s ready.” He lowered his voice, but not by much. “I think Duncan’s worried that you—” he pointed at Colleen “—got cold feet.” “She nearly did,” Jenna muttered. “Aw, crap. Guess I need to go tell everyone the wedding’s off.” Bubba did an about face, but before he could sprint through the open door, Colleen snatched him up. “You’ll do no such thing.” She swallowed audibly. “I’m ready. I guess.” “Let go of me.” Bubba writhed in her grasp. “Not before you promise to keep your mouth shut.” Roz smirked. Circumspection was not exactly the changeling’s long suit. She walked to Bubba’s other side. “I’ll take him.” She held out her arms. “I can walk,” the changeling said with a great deal of dignity, “as soon as Colleen lets go of me.” “You haven’t promised,” Colleen said. “Please, sweetie. It’s important to me. A girl needs to have some things stay private.” He blew out an annoyed sounding breath. “All right. I promise.” Colleen relaxed her grip. Shaking himself like a dog might have, the gnome-like changeling chuckled. “Too bad. Something like that’s a prime piece of gossip.” Colleen broke into a broad grin. “Right up your alley, eh?” Roz made shooing motions. “Let’s get going. You don’t want all that food the Sidhe catered to get cold do you?” “I don’t care about food,” Colleen mumbled. “I’m so nervous I probably won’t be able to eat a thing.” “Well I do,” Jenna said. “I’m with Roz. Let’s get this show on the road.” “Have a couple belts of whiskey,” Roz suggested. “It’ll do wonders for your nerves.” The hallway air brightened and shimmered. When it cleared, Titania, Queen of Faerie, shook floor-length silvery hair out of her ice blue eyes and pushed it over her shoulders. A diaphanous gown, more jewels than fabric, floated around her tall, thin frame. “Is there some problem?” she inquired with asperity, and her gaze zeroed in on Colleen. Colleen half curtseyed. Roz considered it, but didn’t because Titania wasn’t her queen. “No problem at all.” Colleen inclined her head. “We were just on our way.” The Queen of Faerie’s severe expression softened. “Thank the goddess. For a minute there, I was afraid you were going to break Duncan’s heart.” She strode forward and thumped Colleen’s chest with a bony forefinger. “If you ever hurt that boy, I’ll hunt you down and make you very sorry.” “That boy—” Colleen held the queen’s gaze “—is a thousand-year-old man.” Titania furled her perfect silver brows. “Details. Besides, it’s rude to contradict me. Privilege of age and rank and all that. Let’s go. I haven’t performed a marriage in centuries. I’m quite looking forward to it.” Colleen’s eyes widened. “I thought Naomi, the leader of this Coven, was going to join Duncan and me.” “We both have roles to play.” Titania’s mouth twitched. “Surely you didn’t think I’d let one of my own be bound in marriage without my magic involved.” “I have no idea what I thought,” Colleen managed, but she looked ready to throttle the queen. Before things got any tenser and Colleen started in about it being her wedding, Roz herded them out the door and down the hallway. Colleen stopped for a moment at the head of the stairway, tension rolling off her in waves. Roz wrapped an arm around her. “It will be fine,” she whispered. “Just fine.” After a quick hug, she let go. As if those six words did the trick—or maybe it was the hug—Colleen swept down the long, curved staircase, looking regal. Roz, Jenna, and Titania jostled one another as they made their way down the twenty-five steps. Bubba made an end run around them and fell in behind Colleen, where he picked up her lace train. They marched through the dining area where caterers and witches bustled about laying out a spread of food that smelled delicious, into a large, luxurious room that took up much of the bottom floor of the old Victorian. At one point, they’d talked about having the ceremony outside, but the weather put the kibosh on that idea. Roz wondered why they’d wasted their breath even considering an out-of-doors event. It was the winter solstice in Seattle. She bet there’d never been one when it wasn’t raining like crazy—or snowing. Chairs lined the wood-paneled great room, and a fire burned merrily in a huge stone fireplace that took up one end of the sumptuous space. Old-fashioned chandeliers were festooned with hundreds of blazing candles. Witches sat on one side of a center aisle, Daoine Sidhe on the other. Roz guessed between three and four hundred people were in attendance—more Sidhe than witches. Everyone turned in their seats to stare at Colleen, and a collective aaaaah surged through the room. Roz clamped down on a grin. Colleen really did make a lovely bride, with her Irish complexion and red tresses. The creamy lace dress was perfect. White would have made her look washed out. Titania strode around all of them and took her place at the head of the room. Roz noted with amusement that Naomi held her ground when Titania tried to push her to one side. Before she and Jenna left Colleen to find their seats, her gaze landed on Duncan—Lord Regis—and her heart nearly stopped. All Sidhe had an ethereal beauty, but Duncan practically glowed. Dressed in a black tuxedo with a crimson cummerbund and diamond studs, he cut an impressive figure with his high forehead, sculpted cheekbones, and strong jaw. Longish blond hair had been braided in tight rows, but the severe style suited him and make him look like an ancient warrior. Roz averted her gaze, afraid he’d catch her staring, but he only had eyes for his bride. She said a quick prayer asking the goddess’s blessing on their union and turned toward the witches’ side of the room. Because Ronin came up from her other side, she didn’t notice the Sidhe leader until he wove an arm around her shoulders. “I saved you a chair next to me.” Her heart slammed into double-time rhythm. She’d met Ronin two weeks before at his castle in northern England, and they’d shared several spirited conversations over meals. Something magical and electric had sparked between them, but she’d chalked it up to everyone’s emotions running full tilt. She’d just escaped demons by the skin of her teeth, and he was dealing with shame or guilt—or whatever he felt—about forcing witches into being demon assassins two centuries before. While his attentiveness had been welcome—and more than a little flattering—she’d been more focused on her relief at being alive than anything else. Besides, after the Oklahoman, she’d sworn off men—forever. Ronin smiled, not looking anything but glad to see her, and her heart did a funny little flip-flop, in addition to beating much too fast. Dark hair hung loose to his shoulders, and his blue eyes twinkled warmly. Every bit as handsome as Duncan, he was dressed in formal clothing, black with a blue cummerbund, and what might have been ruby studs. “I can’t,” she whispered. “I’m supposed to sit over there.” She gestured in the general direction of the witches’ side of the room. “No one will notice,” he assured her and hooked his hand beneath her arm. Roz didn’t fully understand why she let him guide her to a padded straight-backed chair near the front of the room and help her into it, but there was something irresistible about his energy. Too late, she recognized a mild compulsion spell. Anger spiked, but now wasn’t the place to give in to it. With every shred of self-discipline at her disposal, she forced her attention to Duncan and Colleen reciting their vows, and to Naomi, who’d muscled her way in before Titania could get rolling. When Ronin draped an arm around her shoulders, she shot him a harsh look that made him move it damned fast. Good, she thought. It’s about time the Sidhe realize their days of pushing witches around are over. Yes, he was gorgeous, and he seemed interested in her, but the last thing she needed was some overbearing mage mucking things up. She still wasn’t quite certain how Colleen’s marriage to Duncan would impact her and Jenna. They’d always been kind of like The Three Musketeers, demon style. The permanent addition of a Sidhe was bound to have some effect. Exactly what was hard to gauge. Who am I kidding? We didn’t just get Duncan. We’re stuck with his kinfolk now too. All of them. She bit back a sigh. If the series of meetings a couple of weeks before in the U.K. was any indication, she, Jenna, and Colleen would have to fight to be recognized as anything remotely close to equal. Roz snuck a glance at Ronin. He sat straight in his seat, his profile heartbreakingly beautiful. His long-fingered hands were clasped together in his lap. She couldn’t stop herself from wondering what they’d feel like stroking her body. Warm. Electric. Compelling. Maybe I should give him a chance, a tiny, inner voice piped up. Bosh. Roz tried for a stern note, but the other part of her brain wouldn’t shut up. It would be pathetic to get killed for lack of skills a teenager could master.   Tristan is a Sidhe warrior, but his primary gift is attunement to others’ emotions. He fell hard for Jenna, but hasn’t had an opportunity to act on their attraction beyond a few kisses because she returned to Alaska, and he’s been in the field fighting demons.   As seer for the Sidhe, Kiernan is haunted by visions, particularly an apocalyptic sending that seems to be coming true. A confirmed bachelor, he doesn’t understand his attraction to Jenna, but it’s so strong he can’t fight it. After a while, he doesn’t even try, despite recognizing Tristan’s claim to her.   Startling truths surface about Jenna’s magic, and then there’s the problem that she’s falling in love with two very different men. It’s impossible to choose between a seer with dreams in his eyes and a beautiful man who intuits her every need. Standing on the verge of Earth’s destruction, will she defy convention and follow the song in her heart?   Amazon    BN    Kobo    iBooks    ARe    Google Play    Author’s Store     Excerpt from Witches Rule:   Jenna Neil sank heavily onto her airplane seat and kicked off her high heels, shoving them beneath the seat in front of her. With a small sigh of relief, she rotated her ankles to take the pressure off her aching arches. She’d always loved heels—the higher the better—and insisted on wearing them, never mind they definitely lacked a comfort factor. Once she’d shot past six feet, she figured it didn’t matter if she added a few inches to her already overbearing height. A flight attendant leaned over to hand her a pillow and blanket. Jenna tucked the pillow behind her head as she listened to the safety briefing and estimates of their arrival time in London. She closed her eyes, but it didn’t ease how tired and gritty they felt, and smoothed her too-short denim skirt down her thighs. A red wool sweater and matching denim jacket finished off her outfit. She’d been so excited about getting out of Alaska and away from the layers she was forced to wear through the winter, she’d probably underdressed for the current jaunt. Less trendy clothes were tucked in her checked luggage, but they weren’t exactly accessible. The last few days hadn’t offered much opportunity for rest. She, Colleen Kelly-Regis, and Roxanne Lantry-Redstone—Roz to everyone who knew her well—were the last of the demon assassin witches. Having escaped Irichna demons by a ridiculously narrow margin—again—the three of them were on their way to the U.K. where they could do it all over again. Jenna grinned ruefully. Demons running amok through the British countryside had thrown witches and the Daoine Sidhe together after two hundred years of enmity. It had also netted impossibly hunky husbands for her sister witches, but that was beside the point. Staying alive was a much more front and center problem. Because Irichna demons had become so much more aggressive, everyone but her thought it would be best to travel separately. She hadn’t agreed, but she’d been the one dissenting vote. As far as Jenna was concerned, there was always strength in numbers, but the others were convinced their current strategy would confuse the demons long enough for everyone to regroup on the eastern side of the Atlantic. Colleen and Roz were teleporting with their husbands. Niall, Colleen’s Irish changeling familiar, was making his own way back home along with two Scottish changelings, Llyr and Krae. Jenna had never been much good at teleporting, so she’d opted to fly commercial. It would place her arrival at least twelve hours after everyone else, but she could live with that. At least the first leg of her journey, from Fairbanks to Seattle, and thence to New York, had been uneventful. Thinking about Irichna made her shiver, so she unfolded her blanket and draped it around her shoulders. Demons didn’t get much worse than Irichna. As Abbadon’s chosen henchmen, they played for keeps, and Abbadon was the biggest and baddest of Hell’s denizens, so nothing was off limits. Demon assassin witches had been a craw in his throat for a long time, and lately he’d upped the ante to get rid of them—permanently. Them means me, and I’d do well not to forget that. Jenna blew out a weary breath. One of her not-so-distant ancestors had been forced into demon containment two hundred years ago by the Sidhe, breaking every rule that bound magic-wielders, but the Sidhe hadn’t cared. In the intervening years, demons had managed to kill every single witch with demon-assassin ability—except for her, Roz, and Colleen. The Sidhe were primed to take back some responsibility for ferrying Irichna to the Ninth Circle of Hell where the gatekeeper locked them away, but that hadn’t exactly happened yet. She gritted her teeth and unclenched hands she’d balled into fists around the edge of the thin airline blanket. The aircraft backed out of its slip and headed for one of the many runways at JFK Airport. While it would be lovely to have help with the demons, working with the Sidhe held its own set of problems. For one thing, most of them were insufferably autocratic, which was how Jenna’s great-grandmother had ended up being suckered into picking up the demon banner in the first place. Even though Titania, Queen of Faerie, appeared marginally tolerant of Colleen’s and Roz’s marriages to Sidhe now, she’d given Duncan quite a bit of grief over his proposed marriage to Colleen at the front end of things. By the time Ronin, the de facto Sidhe leader, made it clear he’d set his sights on Roz, Titania had backed down a few notches, probably because they were beset by Irichna. Jenna thinned her lips into a hard line. Hundreds of years before, Ronin’s human partner had died in childbirth, and the child along with her. Apparently, both the Queen and King of Faerie made it clear Ronin had sunk himself by choosing to marry someone outside his race. In the face of their indifference, Ronin had carried his grief alone. It’s just like it is with humans. Everybody’s got to have somebody to look down on… Jenna tamped back a cynical grin. The Sidhe had made strides accepting other races, but they had a way to go before they moved beyond their intolerant past. Jenna pictured her friends’ husbands, and a small sigh escaped. Like all the Daoine Sidhe, Duncan Regis and Ronin Redstone were heartbreakingly stunning. Duncan’s blond good looks and green eyes provided a counterpart for Ronin’s dark hair and deep blue gaze. When Jenna scratched the surface and did a little soul-searching, she had to admit she’d never expected to find a permanent partner. Girls like her—well rounded and obscenely tall—weren’t exactly in demand. Colleen was beautiful with her waist length auburn hair and pale blue eyes, and Roz was unusual and striking. Her Native American heritage and long, lean frame turned heads whenever she passed by. Guess I’m the odd witch out these days… Jenna pressed her lips together. It remained to be seen how her friends’ marriages would impact their lives. Some things would have to change because she couldn’t quite envision Duncan and Ronin simply moving in to her Fairbanks, Alaska, home along with their new wives. For one thing, all the Sidhe maintained amazing abodes in the U.K. Places that resembled castles more than houses. Jenna reined in her thoughts. There were a lot of unknowns, but the main problem would be surviving the next few weeks. Once they got the Irichna on the run—if that were even possible—then she could figure out more prosaic things, like if she’d be the only one still living in Fairbanks and running their magicians’ supply shop. Before the thought even finished forming, she knew that arrangement wouldn’t work. She, Roz, and Colleen had to stay together, and if the others insisted on remaining in the U.K., well then she wouldn’t have much choice in the matter. If she returned to Alaska by herself, she’d be a sitting duck for Irichna to swoop down and overpower her. She shivered again and considered asking for a second blanket. In an attempt to divert herself and maybe unwind, though it seemed unlikely, Jenna started to push her seat back and then remembered she wasn’t supposed to quite yet. The plane’s engines were revving, but they hadn’t left the ground. She heard the captain instruct the flight attendants to prepare the cabin for takeoff and tried to relax in her plush first-class seat. If the goddess was good to her, maybe she’d catch a few hours of sleep before the plane landed. A flurry of supernatural energy caught the edges of her attention, and Jenna’s gut twisted into a sour knot. She sat up straight and craned her neck to scan the cabin, defensive magic at the ready. Her eyes widened in disbelief as Krae’s unmistakable form shimmered into being, and the changeling bounded into the empty seat next to Jenna. Her long, bright red hair hung loose, and her eyes shone like emeralds. Krae’s stocky body was draped in wide-bottomed green silk pants and an embroidered black tunic. As was usual with changelings, her feet were bare. The creatures drew their power from the earth, and Jenna assumed they didn’t want layers of leather or rubber or neoprene between themselves and their magical well. With their three-foot height, broad shoulders, and longish arms, they looked like a missing link between humans and the great apes. “What are you doing here?” Jenna kept her voice low. “Don’t worry,” Krae replied, not exactly answering Jenna’s question. “No one can see me except you.” “Where are Niall and Llyr?” “Niall joined Colleen and Duncan, and Llyr is with Roz and Ronin.” Of course, why didn’t I think of that? Jenna cleared her throat. “Why did you make different plans?” Krae cocked her head to one side and crinkled her gnome-like face, making her look even more outlandish. “We discussed it and decided you might need help.” A corner of her mouth curved into a frown. “Personally, I thought it was a bit overdrawn, but Niall was most insistent about remaining with Colleen.” “Can he join her teleport spell after it’s already set in motion?” Jenna was curious, but if Krae could teleport into this aircraft, maybe the other two could tap into a spell she’d always considered sacrosanct. “Not directly, but he communicated with Colleen telepathically, and she altered her destination to pick him up. Llyr did the same with Roz and Ronin.” Krae dusted her palms together and grinned. “Nothing easier.” The changeling swept her agate-green gaze around the first-class cabin. “When will they feed us?” “As soon as we pass through ten thousand feet, which won’t be long since we just took off.” Jenna paused for a beat. “If you weren’t thrilled about the plans to get to the U.K., why didn’t you speak up back in Alaska?” “We did. No one listened to us. Roz and Ronin were so wrapped up in lust and pawing at each other, all they wanted to do was get to his manor house as fast as they could.” “Well, they did just get married,” Jenna pointed out in defense of her friend. “And I don’t recall anyone but me voicing concerns about splitting up to travel.” “That’s because you weren’t paying attention, either. Look, sweetie, if the Irichna win, no one will be tupping anyone.” Despite being much shorter than Jenna, the changeling managed to send a withering glance her way. “Point taken.” Jenna shot an equally scathing glance back. “Next time, if you feel strongly about something and no one’s paying attention, talk louder.” “Rehashing the past is a waste of time.” Krae bounced up and down in her seat. Jenna considered telling her to fasten her seatbelt, but if no one could see her, there wasn’t much point. “Be sure to take everything they offer foodwise,” the changeling instructed. “I’m hungry.” “Shouldn’t be a problem since I’m not.” Jenna lapsed into silence. “Why so glum, witchy girl?” Krae trained her ancient eyes, which probably didn’t miss a trick, on Jenna. “Oh, no particular reason.” Jenna stifled a snort and rolled her eyes. “I find facing death several times a day downright exhilarating.” A bell sounded, and the fasten seat belt icon winked out. Moments later, the first-class cabin flight attendant leaned close. “Are you all right?” “Why wouldn’t I be?” Jenna snapped and then winced at how surly she sounded. “I heard you talking and thought maybe you needed something.” The flight attendant smiled encouragingly. Airlines had moved past using Barbie clones long since, and this woman was middle-aged with streaks of gray in her dark, shoulder-length hair, the beginnings of wrinkles around her blue eyes, and a kind expression. “Food,” Krae prodded, not bothering with telepathic speech. “Thanks for being concerned.” Jenna managed a genuine smile for the cabin attendant. “I am hungry, so snacks would be appreciated whenever you get around to serving.” “Of course.” The woman smiled back. “I’m Suzanne.” She tapped the nametag hanging around her neck. “Just press your call button if you need anything. Other than that, relax and enjoy your flight.” “You could’ve been a bit more assertive about our dinner,” Krae complained. “I’m guessing they can’t hear you, either.” Jenna switched to telepathic speech. “Of course they can’t.” Krae blew out an annoyed-sounding breath. “Look, witchy-girl, draw a spot of magic and shield your speech. That way no one will bother us, and we can talk.” Feeling like an idiot because she hadn’t come up with the idea herself, Jenna drew the requisite spell before she spoke again. “I was actually hoping to sleep.” “You can do that after we eat and talk.” Jenna turned to face the changeling and raised a quizzical brow. “This is starting to sound bigger than you. Whose idea was it for the three of you to split up, and for you to join me?” Krae’s generous mouth twitched into a grin, and she jabbed a finger in the air between them. “Smart witch.” “You didn’t exactly answer me.” “No. I didn’t.” Jenna pressed her tongue against her teeth to manage her annoyance. The last thing she needed was a rousing game of twenty questions, so she trained what she hoped was a non-confrontational gaze on Krae and shrugged. “We have seven hours, feel free to take your time.” The changeling’s green eyes sparkled with mischief. “You’re burning up with curiosity. I can smell it.” Jenna didn’t bother to point out she was so trashed from the past few weeks that she doubted she had enough energy to burn up with anything. Suzanne handed her a bottle of water and a tray with an assortment of appetizers. The flight attendant had no sooner moved on to the next passenger than Krae bent over the tray and dug in. The changeling looked up after inhaling half the finger sandwiches and most of the nuts. “Sure you don’t want any of this?” “Help yourself.” Jenna adjusted her seat so it tilted backward, twisted the cap off the water, and drank deeply. “Beer, wine, or a cocktail, miss?” a masculine voice asked. Jenna glanced up at a cabin attendant she hadn’t seen before. He was tall and rangy with very blue eyes, white-blond hair, and a gold band on the third finger of his left hand. She swallowed a smile. With looks like his, he might have begun wearing the ring in self-defense, to slow the tide of women throwing themselves at his feet. He arched a brow and gestured toward the drink cart. “Um, maybe a cup of coffee with a side of Irish whiskey.” “Excellent choice.” He beamed at her, displaying very white, very even teeth. He may have winked, but she wasn’t quite certain. “Would you care for cream or sugar?” “Both.” Once he handed her drink over, she uncapped the small bottle of spirits and dumped a little into her cup. She’d traveled through so many time zones already, it scarcely mattered whether it was evening yet, and the liquor might have a salutary effect. The steward’s gaze traveled up her body in frank appraisal before he moved to the passenger across the aisle. Jenna’s face warmed a few degrees. What the hell? Was he sizing her up for a quickie in one of the plane’s johns? Krae twisted her head and stared at the man. The air glistened wetly where the changeling deployed magic. She wasn’t particularly subtle, and the man’s spine stiffened, but he didn’t turn around. “He felt that.” Jenna pitched her mind voice just for Krae and shielded it to boot. “Indeed he did.” Krae narrowed her eyes. “Do you know what he is?” Jenna shook her head. “Pity,” the changeling went on, “neither do I.” “I don’t think it’s a good idea to send more magic his way,” Jenna murmured. “As it is, what you did tipped him off. How did you know something was wrong?” “How else?” Krae shrugged. “I almost missed it, but something…odd drew my attention when he looked at you. If he’d been human, his gaze would have held more heat. Instead there was an…unnatural hunger.” She hesitated. “More like he was relieved he’d found you rather than wanting sex.” A shudder iced Jenna’s blood. Unlike Roz and Colleen, she couldn’t simply teleport off the airplane. Her heartbeat sped up. “Maybe you should leave,” she told Krae. “No point in both of us being trapped.” “Uh-uh. We hold our ground for now. It’s possible his presence has nothing to do with you.” “Not very fucking likely.” Krae picked up another small sandwich and stuffed it into her mouth. Jenna snuck a peek at the steward just in time to see him disappear through the curtain separating first class from the remainder of the aircraft. Because she was desperate for information, she sent a tendril of magic snaking outward and yanked it back as soon as she determined the man wasn’t an Irichna disguised as human. Duncan had run up against one masquerading as a priest near the Witches’ Northwest Coven headquarters in Seattle. It had lured two female teenagers and would have drained them of life if Duncan hadn’t intervened. As it was, he wasn’t certain either had survived because he’d left them at a hospital and hadn’t hung around long enough to find out. Jenna ran options through her mind, not liking any of them. She didn’t want to end up in a pitched battle inside the aircraft. Hell, they’d probably lock her away as a terrorist the minute the plane landed, and Irichna would pick her off from her cell. “I was serious,” Krae’s out loud voice intruded. “There’s at least a small possibility he’s simply some sort of mage. He might have gotten a magical hit off your aura and was curious.” “What did you want to talk about earlier?” Jenna changed the subject because she could speculate about the mystery steward from now until he made a move against her, and it wouldn’t change the outcome, other than making her more aware to watch out for him. “How much do you know about my race?” Krae countered, answering Jenna by asking a question of her own. “Mostly what I’ve gleaned from living with Niall for forty years. Why?” Krae popped the last sandwich into her mouth, chewed, and swallowed. “We’ve always known we would have a key role to play in major battles against the Irichna. It’s written in our histories, and we’ve prepared as best we could.” Jenna drew her brows together. “Niall never mentioned it.” “It’s quite possible he didn’t know. We’ve done our damnedest to keep that particular bit of knowledge quiet, so the Irichna wouldn’t target us before the time came to play our part. Not that we didn’t inform our people—and try to coach them—but Niall’s been gone for a good many years.” Jenna rolled her shoulders to offset the iron bar of tension sitting between them. “You sound like a preacher threatening the latter days are nearly upon us.” “They are.” Krae’s expression turned deadly serious. “More whiskey, miss?” Jenna started at the sound of the steward’s voice. He’d returned to the cabin so quietly, she hadn’t heard him. “Um, no.” She resisted the temptation to look at him. It would give her more information, but that was a two-way street. “As you will, miss.” He pushed the drink cart past her. It made quite a bit of noise, which led her to suspect he’d used magic to muffle his presence earlier. How long had he studied her without her knowing? Why hadn’t Krae sensed him? Worse, he’d apparently made his way back to the front of the plane, pushed the rattling cart past her, and served other passengers without alerting her to his presence. Not good. Jenna shielded her mind—just in case—and clamped her jaws together when he sashayed into the curtained galley alcove between first class and the cockpit. Her heart thudded against her ribcage, and her throat was dry. It was looking like she’d need to do something, but what would attract the least attention? Krae uttered a muted expletive in Gaelic, bolted from her seat, and whisked after the steward. Jenna stared after the changeling with her mouth hanging open. She pushed upright, remembered her seatbelt, and fumbled with the clasp. By the time she was free of it, a flash of multicolored light practically blinded her, flaring above, below, and through the curtain. Heedless of the other first class passengers, who couldn’t sense expended magic anyway, she threw her power wide open. Jenna didn’t realize she’d been holding her breath until it whistled from between her clenched teeth. She drew her lips back, hissing in satisfaction once she realized the blast of power had come from Krae, not the man. Balancing on the balls of her stocking-clad feet, Jenna strode forward and pushed past the curtain. The steward was shaking his head back and forth, his face screwed into a mask of pain. Power flashed from the changeling’s hands. “No more,” he rasped, tottering from foot to foot. “I won’t hurt either of you.” Jenna dragged an invisibility spell over all of them, layered a don’t look here spell over that, and prayed to the goddess no one would enter the small, enclosed space for the next few minutes. “What are you?” She shoved the question hard into his mind. “I already figured that out,” Krae said sourly. “He’s a minor demon sent to keep an eye on you and report back.” “I already told you I hadn’t,” he whined. “And I won’t. You can bind me with magic.” “That’s not good enough,” Jenna growled. “Demons lie.” “So do changelings and witches.” He shot her a venomous look that belied his promises of non-interference. “We’re wasting time,” Krae said and settled into a low chant. A look of horror twisted the steward’s handsome face into something unrecognizable. He tried to walk past them but clearly couldn’t move. The air thickened, took on a blackish tinge, and stank of ozone just before smoke rose from the creature and he vanished. Jenna drew back, impressed. Whatever Krae had done was magic well beyond her own abilities. Footsteps sounded on the far side of the curtain. Suzanne. Jenna recognized her energy and ducked into a passenger restroom. If Krae was powerful enough to banish the demon, shielding herself from the flight attendant should prove trivial. Kicking herself for being sloppy, Jenna pulled the magic from her spells to make the cramped galley appear as normal as possible. “Paul,” Suzanne’s voice was pitched low, “your drink cart’s here. Where are you?” Jenna flushed the toilet and splashed cold water on her overheated face. She took her time drying off and settled her features into a bland expression before stepping out of the john. With a nod and a smile at Suzanne, she pushed the curtain aside and returned to her seat. Krae was already there, doing her best to mask a self-satisfied grin. “Okay, I give up.” Jenna eyed the changeling. “What did you do?” “Teleported him outside the plane. Nature took care of the rest.” Jenna thought about it. “While it’s good he’s gone, how will we know he didn’t report in somehow?” “We won’t,” Krae said shortly. “Which means we’ll have to be very careful not to lead the enemy right to wherever we’re staying after we land.”   About the Author: Ann Gimpel is a national bestselling author.
