Three very exciting developments during our visit with Luna and Molly today:

No squabbles despite Troja being mid-heat and Sparta being Extra Monstrous because Troja is mid-heat, and despite all 4 of them milling around in a very small space with potential jealousy issues

Sparta and Molly warning and responding to each other in appropriate ways and without escalation (!)

Troja (bless her) standing up for herself and asking for space when Molly got too pushy with her, instead of shutting down and/or running off to hide and/or just freaking out

#sparta handles troja being in heat the same way sparta handles sparta being in heat which is being Sharp #spart and molly have also historically been poorly matched because sparta is very clear about boundaries (a little overzealous sometimes #post puppy and poppy and being bowled over once too many times) #and molly came here with very poor language - skipped about 18 steps on the escalation ladder & did NOT accept correction #meanwhile troj (Bless Her) has had a tendency to deal with all socially difficult social situations by 1)leaving or 2)sitting very still #or if those fail: 3) panic #but today we had an ear tuck a whale eye a lip lift and then Deescalation and Recovery and No Hard Feelings! #theyve never actually fought but theres been a couple of very loud alteractions that aren't productive to anything

THING. in his house. for tax purposes. #im gonna be inheriting a good amount of things probably. both a blessing and a curse #in that i didnt wanna fucking lose my father for it #but this is the hand we've been dealt and we're dealing with it. #i got excused from my last week of work Thank God so im hanging around longer than originally planned #gonna get my cats today. i fed them enough to last to today but that was when i thought id only be down for 2 days #no work to deal with now. i'll figure it out. #part of me's sad that it really ended just like that. didnt get to properly say goodbye to the store #but at the same time. my dad's death is so much more important. so i'll deal. #it was already gonna be a transitory time. but now it is INTENSELY so. #anyways thats why i havent been around much. i have quite a lot to do.
