i resisted the temptation last time but no more. spider-sona time (more like spider oc but)

plaintext lore under the cut:

-from Earth-237, where NYC has been turned into a no-man's-land by a Klyntar invasion

-1/2 symbiote named Maw, 1/2 jaded human nicknamed Host

-Maw was reverse-engineered by Curt Connors to eat symbiotes

-Maw & Host bonded, rebelled & became Spider-Man after Eddie Brock's death

-they fight the Klyntar army & rogues assimilated into it; have tenuous alliances with others like Doc Ock

-Maw resents other symbiotes/ is curious about humans & vice versa for Host

-Host has "I can only interact with people as a hero" syndrome and hates showing their face

-Maw supplies the attitude morbid humor (+ is an absolute puppy dog) while Host supplies the logic + is ironically the scary one

-seems like an average-albeit-edgy Spider-Man until Maw gets hungry :-)

Attempt at Revamping my spidersona / venomsona with a more #8spottedcrabspider aesthetic

Ashley “Dash” Thompson was your average Jock. On top of the world and thinking she could rule over everyone… until a tragic accident took her leg and her crown away.

She hit a low point during that time but thanks to a certain Peter Parker, she managed to get back up.

She learned a lot from Peter (he used to quote his uncle a lot, specially “with great powers comes great responsibilities”), she even became his protector as the years progressed.

I guess you know the rest, Dash got bitten by a spider carrying an extraterrestrial parasite and became the one and only Arachnida, a name given by Peter (the symbiote approved).

Everything went smoothly until the Canon happened...

She and the symbiote lost Peter during the tragedy.

Everyone making a Spidersona- my special snowflake ass making a Venomsona

Lore Dump:

Lydia Cordova is from Earth 2997- where Earth has become an ecumonopolis (no land- only buildings). She works for Alchemax as the assistant to the lead biologist but when samples from an asteroid that originated in deep space come in with a sentient (not sapient) life form she is sent to study it. Lydia learns it’s very intelligent (think Calvin from the movie Life), rapidly “evolving” to its new environment. She feels she bonds with the symbiote so when her superiors want to weaponize it she tries to stop them- but the symbiote escapes containment and takes Lydia as it’s host, fusing with her spinal cord.

It grants her a near impenetrable metal exoskeleton that is resistant to extreme temperatures, heightened senses and abilities (like super strength, speed, night vision, fast healing, etc). When fully “suited” it grants her thermal vision. But these abilities tax her body heavily so to keep up she needs to eat- a lot- and specifically protein (this thing makes her almost a full carnivore.) And like original Venom, high frequency sound waves are extremely painful- a high enough frequency being deadly.

I wanted to go a more sci-fi route with making this Venomsona. I pulled a lot from the horror movie Life and from the Aliens movies- and a bit from Transformers if I’m being honest. So have an amorphous metal Xenomorph Venomsona.
