A proper heart connection. Fearful, unsure and longing to be satiated in the dark.

Velore and Vox met on Earth when they were human, both vying for the same lead TV host (either game show, news, or talk show, I’ll pinpoint it when we find out more about his canon backstory heh) position on the biggest television network in the country. Think rivals-to-lovers-to-enemies.

Vox completely fucked her over in their past life, but despite this, his death had a lasting effect on her. So much so that she never truly got over it.

She died only a few years after him, when the radio she was listening to while bathing accidentally fell into the water.

However, she didn’t reconnect with him in Hell for decades. She honestly thought her afterlife was just an elaborate dream, up until Vox’s broadcast (from episode 2!) appeared on her screen. The screen on her chest played an annoying static up until then: that broadcast was the first time it ever worked.

She had a cursory knowledge of VoxTek, but she mainly kept to herself in the afterlife, so she had no interest in the technology. She didn’t care about the intricacies of Hell— overlords, the Vees, the radio demon— until that broadcast.

That voice.

She knew that voice.

I had a dream the other day. It was the same dream Mersi and Rhya have shared for moons and moons: the dream of a little cafe in Sharlayan, where the two can enjoy the quiet that comes after they've averted their last apocalypse.

Her kitten, A'rhya Velore.

She truly is my muse. Sketch and details under the cut.

Also pictured: a pair of their signature dishes, ruby and larimar entremets! The ruby is made according to Rhya's tastes, and contains layers of rolanberry mousse, chocolate cremeux, and rolanberry compote built upon a foundation of angel's food cake, coated in a creamy red rosewater glaze to allow the floral notes to brighten the berry flavors within. The larimar is more to Mersi's preferences, which is to say it's way too rich and messy: a molten chocolate pudding core, a thin layer of dense chocolate to maintain its shape, caramel mixed with shredded chocolate, and finally a cinnamon walnut mousse, all stacked upon a dense chocolate crumb cake base and doused in a pale blue chocolate glaze. Very, very chocolatey. They're sold alone or paired, but Mersi loves plating them together. It just feels right.

Not pictured: Mersi, absently getting another pot of coffee ready to siphon, watching Rhya's tail swish back and forth as she walks to the customers' table, thinking about the first time they made and shared these entremets to celebrate getting their names on the deed to their own cafe: the Ruby and Larimar.

It’s time for some Arya Propaganda!!

-tl;wr, Arya is very cute and kind and caring and has had to go through so so much trauma and just deserves soft and nice things like winning this contest 🥺 She has absolute tumblr blorbo energy

- Arya is just an absolute buddy. A quarter-elf who was mostly human with an elf grandmother that grew up in Scieltora, a city of artifice

- Fr, look how smol and cute she is. Tiny fremd!

- Became an alchemist in school and her parents made her take medical classes because she was always accidentally getting herself hurt or drinking things she shouldn��t

- (It’s all in the name of science!! Was asked to find an antidote to a poison and then poisoned herself to test the antidote!!!) 

- Got stuck in a timeloop in her home city for 2 and a half years and finally managed to escape so she could find a way to free her home

- Ended up finding a bunch of friends who she loves so so so much, they’re like her family now. In her mental headspace she has a painting of all of them together because she loves them so so much

- Had a mysterious voice in her head that seemed to be following her around and she didn’t know who they were for the longest time until she found out that they’re one of the antagonists, spying on her through her own eyes

- Finally learned why the antagonist was so obsessed with her when the party returned to help free Scieltora from the time loop

- Turns out that when she returned home, she got kidnapped! And her soul was ripped in half ;-; and the other half was sent back in time and fused with part of her best friend’s soul

- The drama and the trauma ;-;

- Now that she’s been so changed, what’s a girl to do if she doesnt feel like she belongs in her own body?

- Why put her soul into a new robot body and learn cool magic so that she can’t be hurt like that again of course
