Recently rewatched Detective Pikachu. I totally forgot that Mewtwo had a double-layered voice in that, with both a male and female voice actor speaking simultaneously. Does he sound like that in your comics, or something else?
I was never a fan of the layered voice he had in the film. My headcanon voice for him is how he sounds in DP, but only the male vocals (Kotaro Watanabe)

Friendly PSA: if you haven’t read any fics about Kuron (clone Shiro) you are missing out. These are some of the best Voltron fics imo. There are so many AUs that save him and develop a personality/relationships for him and its beautiful.
Don’t Let’s Start by BossToaster and Parallel by Proxy by VelkynKarma are two of my favorite series that focus on Kuron and Shiro, and really just an excellent place to start. There are also many other fantastic standalone fics under the Kuron tag on Ao3 that I would recommend exploring.

Summary:
Byleth cares about all of his students. He will do anything to protect them. Even if it means reliving a hundred lives. Even if it means protecting them from themselves.
Even if it means protecting them from him.
Warnings: Injury, vomiting, hurt/comfort, spoilers for all FE3H routes
Excerpt:
A fate is a fate, Sothis would admonish him often.
It took Byleth over one hundred lifetimes to take her lesson to heart, before he became an Emblem.
Because war always, inevitably, came to Garreg Mach. And every time, Byleth made decisions—supported one of his students over the others, trained and taught and protected. And he kept them safe.
But it came at the cost of the others. And always, always, by the end of his chosen lifetime, his sword wept with the blood of his beloved students, and his father was murdered before his eyes, and he can never, ever make the world perfect. Always, always, the people he cared for and taught became enemies, and they killed each other, and there was never a way to stop it.
Never.
But every time, he would still try. Every time, on his deathbed or as he lay dying on the battlefield, Sothis would come to him. She would stir in his heart one last time, and visit his soul in his last moments. And every time, she would always ask him the same thing.
“Well? Is this enough? Are you satisfied?”
And every time, he would answer, no. “If I had just done this differently—if I had reached out at this moment—if I had just seen this sign in time—I could have changed everything.”
And Sothis would tell him with her exasperated sigh, “A fate is a fate! It cannot be changed in such a way.”
And he would say, “No. I have already changed so many fates. I can change one more.”
And so she would say, “Then you must return, once more, to The Beginning.”
And he would. He would close his eyes. He would dream of a great battle a thousand years prior. And he would wake once more in Remire Village, for a fateful meeting with three nobles fleeing from bandits and pleading for aid.

Fanart of @bosstoaster ‘s Ryou & Shiro from her vld fanfic series “Don’t Let’s Start” and “Don’t Let’s Start Adjacent” on ao3! It’s literally one of my all time favourites and also one of the first fics I read in my life, so I finally decided to draw the twins!
Aaaand since “Theseus’s Ship” was the reason I got into the funny train men fandom, it was only fitting to throw both these things in the blender & see what would happen...
BEHOLD:
Additional doodles under the cut!
and then they became twins<3

We know how Lakota met Argon, and later Mewtwo. But how did Gwen first meet her partner?
Mandy's parents are pokemon breeders. Her parents gave Gwen to her when she was a ralts, to be a therapy/emotional support pokemon.

In "Price Cut Paladins" what are the chances of Lance getting a less dramatic family reunion than Keith? His family may be less intense than Krolia, but there are also many more of them to jump to conclusions.
It'd probably still be a pretty dramatic reunion, given the circumstances of Lance's story. Since his family lost contact with him, and he has no idea who's alive (and if anyone did survive), it's already going to be a very emotional reunion. But to top it off, the family was attacked by the Covenant--and now Lance is in the company of a known (and hated) Covenant family member. Unless Lance has a chance to explain it ahead of time, they're almost certainly going to assume Lance has been kidnapped, brainwashed, abused, or some other terrible thing. They are a tight-knit family and will do whatever it takes to rescue him.
Shiro on the flipside has no interest in harming any of them, so he'd be doing his best to mitigate damage and not hurt anybody. Difficult, if there's a pack of lizard-dogs trying to kill you.

"After his fight to stay upright, Shiro hasn't had much energy left in him for anything else. He leans against Hunk's side, docile and unmoving"
Ive been rereading some of my favorite fanfics and Parasite Knight by @velkynkarma has been one of my favorites for years now. I felt compelled to draw something from it haha. I found solace in fanfic as soon as the writing for voltron went to hell and fanfics like this let me experience the characters without the shows shitty plot

fic rec! 345K Voltron/InCrypid AU
Summary: Takashi Shirogane is raised in a noble lineage of monster hunters, tasked with protecting humanity from things that would prey on them. He’s always believed in upholding justice and protecting the innocent. But after a chance encounter with one of the creatures he hunts, he realizes many of those so-called ‘monsters’ are innocent too, and the cause he serves isn’t as noble as he’d been led to believe. So he runs. And he hides. And slowly but surely, he comes to learn more about the cryptid world. He protects those who need it, and he earns his own redemption. And all the while, something dark lurks in the city he calls home, whispered of in shadows, threatening the people he’s sworn to protect. Something called Galra.
Comments: I...words cannot describe the effects this fic has had on me. On update days, I checked my inbox several times. I gushed about this to people who aren’t in either of these fandoms. I read by phone, by laptop, in the car, in bed, and between work meetings. I picked up the first book in the series this is an AU of and devoured it in 3 days. I used weird tracking knowledge in this to impress my dad. I feel so re-inlove with @velkynkarma‘s work that I went back, read pretty much everything they’d written for the show, and then decided that wasn’t scratching my Voltron itch and went back to read other fav VLD author’s works too. This fic has thrown me back into a fandom, and now has me contemplating a sequel to the one good VLD fic I’ve read.
This fic is so well thought out, the world so well built. I love how little things from early chapters come back and wallop you. I love the hard choices Shiro has. I love the ensemble cast with all the paladins. I love how the stakes rise, and rise, and rise and Shrio pulls an Ed Elric and decides to punch a god. I love how I fell in love with these characters, and this show, all over again through the story. I love seeing Keith be unfathomly loyal, Shiro got through all the hell of the series in like, 2 week. Hunk being warm, Lance cross-species mingling, Allura reigning over a city, Pidge being such a rebellious child and Coran doing his best. I also adored the mice. They’re perfect.

velkynkarma replied to your post: Hey, so, now that I own a Nintendo Switch Lite,...
You’d probably enjoy Pokemon, which is a game you can take at your own pace. It’s turn-based too…and there’s a lot of new fun stuff to do in Sword and Shield.
My friends on Facebook are recommending Pokemon too. That whole phenomenon passed me by was I was a kid, but I did enjoy Pokemon Go that one summer until my phone battery started draining way too quickly. I think I will give that one a shot, thank you.

Sometimes I think about when Voltron was still an ongoing show and how excited I used to get, and it makes me sad. I find myself feeling a bit hollow when I remember how it ended, and I think I finally know how to word my opinion.
Overall, I still think Voltron was a good show! Not groundbreaking, but it was good. I like the characters. I like certain plot points. But as a whole, there were things that just didn’t come together, and I think those can be blamed on corporate meddling and changes to the creative team. I won’t harass the team about “unaired endings” or “what might’ve been”, because it wasn’t their fault that things changed, but I just wish Voltron had left me with a better feeling at the end.
I think the characters deserved to bond more, because after looking at it again, they never just spend a significant amount of time just being together as people instead of paladins. They all had a bit of individual development, but as a group their relationships seemed stagnant overall. Everyone still picks on Lance. Keith is still a loner. Hunk and Pidge get along, but they always have. Shiro gets further distanced from the team rather than being ingrained in it. The episode when their lions shut down, and Keith asks, “Why are we even out here?”, and implies it’s all a set of circumstances rather than them actually being a team that cares about each other, it hurts because it feels like there isn’t an overwhelming amount of evidence to prove him wrong. Yes, they save and protect each other, but a lot of the time it feels like surviving a war rather than forming a family. I would’ve liked to see more love between them all.
Allura did not deserve the ending she got. Yes, I get the whole “heroic sacrifice” trope, but it felt so unfair. Why should she, someone who has been deeply affected and traumatized by the Galra empire’s actions, have to be the one to fix it all? Haggar/Honerva had the power to mess things up that badly, but she couldn’t fix it herself? Or, even more upsettingly, if the lions were just going to drift off because they weren’t needed anymore, why couldn’t Voltron—the weapon/being that started this entire mess—be the key to fixing things so that Allura could finally have a long, happy life surrounded by her people once more?
Lotor is an iffy spot. I love his character’s complexity, but he’s also become a figure for the abuse victim role, and I don’t like that some people felt that should excuse his actions. Yes, Lotor had terrible parental figures. He was mistreated, but that doesn’t automatically make-up for what he did to the remaining Altaeans. Being an abuse victim does not give someone the right to kill, use, or manipulate others. I’m very disheartened every time I see this argument. It’s like saying that because you were abused, you should get a free pass to do whatever you want and never face consequences. I’m sure someone will be mad about me saying that, but that’s how the sentiment reads.
And, another unpopular opinion: not every character deserves to be redeemed. Sometimes, even if you love a character, they make choices that make them irredeemable. Honerva, Lotor, and Zarkon didn’t deserve to suddenly be forgiven after all of the damage they’d caused. I don’t think that was the right choice to make. I still think they were interesting characters, but they made awful choices. In reality, you wouldn’t forgive someone who destroyed an entire civilization, so why does that not apply to fictional characters? I just think it felt odd.
I know it’s not going to change anything, talking about it now, but I think Voltron could have been better. But I am always going to be thankful for the fun I had watching it, and for the friends and awesome fan-made works that came from it too. There’s still a good bit of love in the community and I think that’s wonderful.
(A little plug, if you will: my buddy @velkynkarma makes some fantastic Voltron fan fiction. They don’t do romantic fan fiction, however, so you’d have to look elsewhere for that. But it’s good stuff!)
Maybe once I get some ideas, I can start showing some of the love I still have for the characters with some art the way I have been for She-Ra.
