Adam literally had one interaction with baby Vaggie in my AU and then never directly did anything with her, even a conversation, for almost three years.

Basically like around a week after Vaggie was born, Lute had pretty much just passed out after finally getting the baby to sleep and Adam showed up, just letting himself in because he just does that a lot of the time.

And because he was bored waiting for Lute to get up, he actually decided to actually really...look at his daughter for the first time. Which led to him basically just playing around with her face and especially her wings out of sheer boredom...and then he actually found both insanely entertaining.

Unfortunately for him, he pushed his luck a bit too far and Vaggie did get bothered by what he was doing and woke up crying. Which Adam, having not been an active father since the beginning of creation and even then, he barely did anything with his kids until they were well out of infancy, just kind of panicked a bit at, literally begging and even trying to bribe the week old baby to be quiet before she woke her mother. He obviously failed and I don't think Adam ever (secretly) felt more fear than he did when he saw the look on Lute's face when, after she took over an hour to get the baby to sleep so she could rest...Adam undid all her work in about five minutes.
