Hi! Feel free not to answer of course if this is overstepping, but can I ask when it's appropriate to start using a cane? I have a lot of pain in my knees, hips, heels and ankles when walking or standing for longer than fifteen minutes or so whenever I'm having a rough patch with Ehlers Danlos syndrome. On better days/weeks, I could get around easily without an aid, but on bad days I'm constantly in pain. I picked up a cheap $10 cane during a shopping trip and found that it greatly reduced my pain because it let me transfer some pressure to my arm joints, which I've always had less trouble with. Is this a good enough reason to use one? Especially since I would only "need" it on bad weeks and I don't have issues with balance or weakness, just pain. Thank you for any help you can offer!

Don't deny yourself relief out of convincing yourself you can put up with pain! You shouldn't be in pain. Use the cane.

Something that I see often on the revalink tag here is hate for revalink under the ship's tag- which is messed up.

I get it if you don't like revalink, if its not your thing, but leave that shit out of our tag. We're all out here just trying to enjoy a ship that doesn't deserve hate.

I have issues with Sidlink, but I'm not about to go tagging that in this post or if I ever made a post about my issues about it.

Basically, just let people enjoy their ships as long as they're not actually messed up. If you don't like seeing a ships content, filter it, or just don't interact, don't hate on something that makes someone happy.

If you are on another social media site, and you see someone you know irl/knew irl posting in support of Israel or posting Israeli propaganda, a powerful thing you CAN do is respectfully and kindly dm them and offer an alternative opinion/facts that contradict their information(ESPECIALLY if you are a US American, and double if you're white). Is it painful to be civil with someone who seems to want other people dead, tortured, starved? YES!

But if they are in an echo chamber of misinfo and nobody ever challenges them, they probably won't challenge themselves. You won't change everyone's mind and certainly it won't be immediate. But if more people used their privilege(being kind and civil, being a peer as opposed to a stranger) then more people will consider that they may not have all the info!! It feels futile but starting a conversation with someone can give them a stepping stone to challenging their own beliefs that's not just seeing an Instagram story they disagree with.
