I have a love-and-hate relationship with Sundays. I feel like it’s a day when you can rest but also take care of yourself and your home, which can mean the same thing sometimes.

This morning I went to the grocery store, and I cooked a delicious Italian oven pasta for lunch. I also called my mom.

Tonight I worked with my bestie on our projects, and it feels good.

Things I need to do and did:

Make a nice desktop set-up for my pc

Clean my pc and iPad

Create that notion template

Find a job

Finish that book

so i've been studying in the garden and i got scared by a noise,, but then i remembered im the biggest thing in this garden and nothing here will hurt me (except like a wasp sting or something, but still). so then i was like, these animals are probably scared of me since im like an apex predator ??? then i realised... im vegeterian... if i was a dinosaur, id be one of those huge ones who only eat trees... im a big, tall, herbivore.......... as u can tell studying has been productive and on topic....

This isn't new, but I'm currently rereading the Hunger Games for the first time in a long while and I forgot how smart Peeta is. Like I knew he was smart but he really has a great strategy from the get-go. He knows that, unlike Katniss, he doesn't know how to fight or hunt although he is strong he doesn't have the experience that Katniss or the other tributes from wealthier districts likely have. So he plays the sympathy card, maybe also the eager, loveable card. He arrives at the train station looking like he's just cried, and whilst Katniss thinks that he is crying to make himself appear weak and not like a target, I'd say he's trying to gain sympathy and appeal to the Capitol people. If people from the Capitol look at him and say "aww poor district 12 boy" + charming them in his interview, then he'll gain sponsors which will help in the arena. He enthusiastically waves at the crowd upon arriving at the Capitol, making him appear more personable and charming to the Capitol people. It doesn't matter if the tributes or districts fall for his act, it only matters if the Capitol people (who are pretty gullible ngl) do because they are the ones who will sponsor him in the arena.

It also adds to his plan of a fake relationship/star-crossed lovers things, because people will assume after the revelation of this crush on Katniss that he cried because the love of his life is going into the arena with him, making it more believable. This would get him more sponsors but would also benefit Katniss, as now they appear as a team and not as individual tributes, helping her survive as well as himself. Whilst he is trying to help her because he cares about her, his pre-arena strategy is honestly great because he knows that if he doesn't have the training or experience the other tributes have, he can make the Capitol viewers WANT to support him, thus help him get food, weapons, medicine, etc as sponsors which makes a HUGE difference to his survival (and because it's Peeta, this helps Katniss too).

Well it's placement day!! I'm on the train there now and I hope I don't vibrate out of my skin before it

After -

I think it went really well!! The GP I was observing was really nice and let me ask extra questions, and I got to interview another one later!! The lead also bought us pizza for lunch :')

gcse revision resource dump! (from an ex-gcse student)

╰— had a few gcse revision resources (incl. online textbook scans, useful websites, etc.) saved on my laptop that i'll never be using again so i figured i'd make a dump post of everything for the gcse class of 2024 and beyond. none of these are mine, i just compiled all of them together. enjoy!

here are the subjects i did and the exam boards that assessed me so you can see if these links are relevant to you and the components/modules that i did. i did higher tier for everything.

— aqa english language. — aqa english literature (romeo and juliet, a christmas carol, an inspector calls & power and conflict). — edexcel mathematics. — aqa biology (triple). — aqa chemistry (triple). — aqa physics (triple). — edexcel history (crime and punishment, anglo-saxon and norman england, superpower relations and the cold war & weimar and n*zi germany).

note: i did french and health and social care as well, but the specifications for those have been revamped so what i used for gcse isn't relevant/useful anymore.

What a busy day. First I had to go to my workplace to give my documents, and when I tell you travelling there took me more time than giving out the papers, trust me. Then, I had to run to send my university documents to the SFE, as I woke up late and missed the collection time.

Things I need to do and did:

Clean my room

Clean the kitchen

so... life happened and i kinda forgot to post on here whoops 😅

anyway since my last post i have finished my first semester at uni and passed all my modules with a first, turned 20, made some amazing memories with friends and gone to some new places, and just started semester 2 at university!

anyway i’m hoping that i’ll remember to post more often and my next post will be sooner than in 3 months
