PWC/WCS: Friend and Rivals classes
Tumblr media
So I had a random idea of I try to think where Ash’s old rivals and friends would be ranked if they were in the Pokemon World Championships/World Coronation Series
To kinda explain my rankings
Low: means you got in the class but you're nowhere near consistent to move up (if 3 battles, the record would be 1-2, a win to stay there but not enough to move up)
Mid: means you're even in that class (win one, lose one, win one, draw, lose one) you're at the point where unless you make changes you're stuck in that class
High: means they're doing well in that class but can't beat the top of that class or at least the gatekeeper battle (like a 3-1 record)
For power reference
Normal class had Visquez as a substitute for Lt Surge a Gym leader, and Korinna a gym leader with a Mega Lucario making it the “gym leader class”
Great Class had Iris the Unova champion as a gatekeeper lol but she was filling the role of a 8th gym leader narratively so trainers like Claire, and Juan could be here so the top gym leader/League Trainer class
Ultra Class had Volkner, Bea, Drasna, and Raihan meaning this is more or less the Elite four class
Class Assignment
Kanto/Johto
Misty: Middle of Ultra Class
She's a tough gym leader, and has Mega evolution but hard to say she's an elite four level which is where I would think the high ultra class are
Brock: Low UltraClass
Similar to Misty but not as battle ready
Ritchie: Low Great Class
Good enough to get out of normal class but can't go past the great class
Gary: Low Ultra Class
Like Brock tough battler but not as consistent to move higher
Vincent: Mid Great Class
Seems strong, hard to predict growth but will grant the average of the PWC trainers
Harrison: Mid Great Class
Similar to Vincent, I think a lot of league trainers go here as they can't beat the top trainers but can beat the normal-class trainers
Hoenn
Morrison: Mid Great Class
League trainer logic
Tyson: High Great
League trainer logic but since he won can see him on that fringe of entering Ultra but just can't get over that hump
Sinnoh
Paul: High Ultra Class possibly Master Class
Saw he can still battle Master Class Ash but it was a training battle so don't know how much to take seriously
Barry: High Great Class
League trainer but can see fringe like Tyson
Nando: Low-Mid Great Class
League trainer logic
Conway: Mid-Great Class
League trainer logic
Tobias: Mid-Ultra Class
Just because of legendaries have to give him some power, hard to say he's elite four level so not giving high ultra class level
Unova
Cilan: High Great Class
Good battler but since he didn't get an upgrade like Brock and isn't even the strongest gym leader in Unova so can't have him higher
Trip: Low Ultra Class
Taking some growth into consideration can see him being skilled enough to make it there but not able to consistently win
Stephan: High Great Class
Good trainer couldn't beat ayone in Ultra class though
Cameron: High Great/Low Ultra Class
Too inconsistent, a good trainer can win the gatekeeper battle but wouldn't be consistent in ultra-class and maybe even drop out
Virgil: Low Ultra Class
Can see him making it out of the Great class with his type diversity but the ultra-class power difference is too much for someone with presumably no gimmick (Eevee z-move?)
Kalos
Clemont: Low Ultra Class
Clemont said he battled Drasna but got destroyed so unless he battled her early in like great class or something he battled her in the ultra-class so I would say he's in there and she was highly ranked so he was at least middle but Low feels better if he got destroyed
Tierno: High Great Class
League trainer and I can't see him beating anyone in ultra class
Trevor: Low Great Class
League trainer, I can see him beating a Korinna but not past that
Sawyer: Low Ultra Class
He can break that great class gate but wouldn't excel in Ultra class
Alola
Kiawe: Low Ultra Class
Z moves help a lot but are not able to beat anyone in ultra consistently
Gladion: Low Ultra Class
same as Kiawe, maybe a bit higher
Lana: Low-Mid Great Class
League trainer but in a weirder league and power boosts with Z moves
Mallow: High Normal Class
Not a battler, z moves will give her wins but hard to imagine she could beat a Korinna
Lillie: Mid Normal Class
Similar to Mallow but has a weaker Pokemon tbh
Sophocles: Low-Mid Great Class
Same as Lana
Kukui: Mid-Ultra Class
Hard to scale him as he just scales to SM Ash, but giving him the High gym leader, low elite four level seems right, can see high ultra class if viewed as a lower champion leveled trainers like Raihan and Wallace
That's my guesses obviously some can be adjusted, some think Gary is really high ultra, all the league winners should be high ultra etc
I just really considered that Ash took a jump from Sun and Moon to Journeys so league winner isn't as high as some think it is to me, and gym leaders and other similar trainers are not be underestimated with examples like Volkner
Bonus: Anabel Mid Ultra Class, Casey Normal Class, Lyra and Khory Low Great Class, Bianca Mid Great, Mairin Normal Class,
Just couldn't think of actual reasons outside of guesses for those lol

Either that or food is just really, really explosive. So far, my fridge hasn't caught fire yet, though, so I have my doubts.

Celebrity Homes in the DMV!
Tumblr media
For those in the know, the Kalorama neighborhood in Washington, D.C. is the place to be if you want to rub shoulders with powerful people. These D.C. mansions tucked into a posh neighborhood in the northwest corner of the capital have included residents such as Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover, and more recently, Ivanka Trump. The name is fitting, as Kalorama means “fine view” in Greek, and these houses are indeed fine.
Other well-heeled, well-known residents have chosen to live outside of D.C. but in the DMV area. Maryland – particularly Potomac – has also been home to names of note: John Glenn, Ted Koppel, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sylvester Stallone, Mike Tyson. And Virginia – especially Middleburg, The Plains, and Arlington – has also had its fair share of famous residents: John F. and Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, Jack Kent Cooke, Paul Mellon, and more.
Although most celebrities living in the DMV prefer to fly under the radar, there are some whose identities are too public to hide. Here’s a list of several of the DMV area’s current famous who’s who houses.
Jeff Bezos
After paying $23 million for the 27,000-square-foot mansion in 2016, Bezos immediately began a renovation that cost $12 million. The upscale Kalorama location makes sense for the founder of Amazon since the company selected nearby Arlington as its second headquarters. The Bezos mansion was formerly the Textile Museum and before that was two separate homes dating to the early 1900s. The home is said to have 11 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, five living rooms, two kitchens, two libraries, two workout rooms, two elevators, a ballroom, a whiskey cellar, and a wine room.
Barack and Michelle Obama
The former President and First Lady purchased their Kalorama home after renting it for a time. They bought the eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom, 1920s Tudor home for $8.1 million. They then renovated and expanded it to 8,200 square feet complete with an au-pair suite and gated courtyard.
Kellyanne and George Conway
In 2017, the (now former) counselor to former President Donald Trump, along with her attorney husband, George, purchased a 15,000-square-foot home in Massachusetts Avenue Heights, D.C. The couple reportedly paid $7.785 million for the eight-bedroom, 13-bathroom house on a little over half an acre. Built in 1927, the house also includes a spacious library, a family kitchen, a catering kitchen, and a pool with a cabana suite.
Lynda Carter
Probably best known as the actor who played “Wonder Woman” in the 1970s television series, Lynda Carter and her late husband, Robert Altman, raised their children in an 18,000-square-foot estate in Potomac, Md. She still lives in the mansion, which sits on seven lush acres that include a tennis court and in-ground pool with a waterfall and hot tub.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Washington Wizards Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also lives in Potomac. The 28-year-old shooting guard purchased the 11,800 square foot property for $4.9 million in 2021. The house has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a pool, a home theater, and of course – 14-foot ceilings fit for a pro basketball player!
Robert Duvall
The actor, director and producer, Robert Duvall, has chosen to make The Plains, Va. his home. Duvall is a winner – an Academy Award, two Emmys, and four Golden Globes – but his house in the quiet rolling hills of Fauquier County is his more recent prize. Known as “Brynley,” the 250-year-old, 362-acre estate is in the heart of Hunt Country. The house is a traditional Georgian, and the barn has been transformed into a dance hall.
Sheila Johnson
Salamander Farm, a 177-acre estate in The Plains, Va., is home to Sheila Johnson, a founding partner of Black Entertainment Television, vice president of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, part owner of the Wizards and the Capitals, chief executive and founder of Salamander Hotels and Resorts, and more. Her business enterprises are many, as are her humanitarian, education, and arts endeavors. The original section of the stone manor house at Salamander Farm is more than 100 years old. Johnson worked with architects to double its size and worked with landscape and interior designers to make it her own.

DMBR- Liber Draconis: A Dragon Grimoire by Christian J. Bullock
Book link
I had to read this twice, because I apparently already read it once and could not remember a dang thing about it when I rediscovered it in my Kindle library.
The short-and-not-so-sweet of it is this book is a mishmash of New Age, conspiracy theory, martial arts, and a lot of presenting UPG as fact.
By which I mean "Tiamat confirmed I was right therefore what I say must be true", happening no less than five times throughout the book. There is a lot of "Nibiru" talk, which lets you know just what some of their sources are (yet Sitchin actually isn't in their list of suggested reading. There is no bibliography or citations for anything they claim or explain, but do reference five of their other books they’ve written). D.J. Conway is another exalted source, and they follow a similar act of throwing random names at you as dragons to work with or who are supposed rulers or leaders in the "dragon council". There are also a lot of far-fetched grandiose claims, such as having to fight 'rouge (sic) dragons (you later find that this is happening IN SPACE. BY PILOTING LOST SPACE MACHINES [I shit you not])' on a nightly basis, a lack of understanding how air currents work in the section on energy work, or 'bending gravitons''. They also refer to themself as a "dragon mystic of the 52nd degree" of some sort of ‘Babylonian Mystery School’ which honestly means nothing, especially when it’s heavily implied that this degree and entire school is bestowed upon the author by the dragons themselves (confirmed after reading the synopsis of one of his other books). He also fails miserably at basic etymology, as evidenced by the sections on Root Words regarding word spells. Honestly, seeing that this is a self-published book (through Lulu), it suffers from a notable lack of editing and proof-reading. I mean seriously, February was originally ‘Nibiruary’? No. Just… no. A quick Google search shows that this author is literally the only source of this word.
Man, I think I know why I don't remember reading this now: it's so goddamn bad.
On the one hand, I'm not a fan of crapping on someone's personal practice. But when it reads like some kid's power fantasy mixed with a lot of Sitchin and Conway and paraded around as fact, well… let's just say "Bullock" indeed. The few good ideas in here are likely pulled from other authors in the suggested reading, such as Donald Tyson. But this is a particular flavor of "snowflake syndrome" and poor research that would have barely passed even Llewellyn’s editing process.
